Looks like a nice RAW ... haven't read all of it but from what I see it looks okay. No real main eventers used which made the show weak but I can understand why there wasn't any used because of the Ric Flair farewell.

Thanks for the comment JD, like I said I thought I could give them some time to make feuds, etc. My next shows will be better don't worry. Plus, remember I'm a little rusty and need to get back to my A-Game.

Lashley, here is my review for your first show . Don't be worried by my critical review. Its only your first show, and I want to provide you with a basis that will help you improve.

Umaga vs. Drew McIntyre – Umaga’s dominance was established which was probably the objective for this match, but this was not a good choice to kick off the Raw after Wrestlemania. Something special could have occurred, not a squash match.

Highlight Reel – An entertaining promo. Mr. Kennedy and Chris Jericho will have made this promo brilliant as they heave with charisma. Even CM Punk is not awful on the microphone. What impressed me further was the angle introduced. A potential feud between CM Punk and either Mr Kennedy or Chris Jericho over the Money in the Bank briefcase should be rather interesting.

Cryme Tyme vs. Lance Cade & Trevor Murdoch – I know fans find Cryme Tyme entertaining during their promos when they “steal” things, but I’d prefer it if Cryme Tyme established a more serious personality. So, the whole angle with Shad stealing Trevor Murdoch’s cap is not the best possible event that could have occurred in this match. Furthermore, it is more realistic that JTG is dominated by the opposing tag team, rather than Shad because he is the powerhouse.

William Regal-Randy Orton Segment – A good angle introduced with Randy Orton being able to pick his opponents.

Santino Marella vs. Cody Rhodes – A solid match with a nice finish. I like the angle how Carlito interferes and nails the Backstabber on Rhodes. Its nice to see that you are utilizing the tag team division.

Randy Orton Interview – This is good as it adds further mystery to the angle introduced earlier.

Beth Phoenix vs. Ashley – Again, a needless squash match. There are other possible Divas that could have been picked as an opponent for Beth Phoenix rather than Ashley, e.g. Mickie James, Melina or Jillian Hall. This type of match does not do much for either of the competitors and it does not draw fans.

Mr. Kennedy vs. Chris Jericho – Rather disappointing for what could have been something special. More attention could have been paid to grapple moves rather than just strikes. It was nice to see than an attempted Lionsault was included, but more signature manoeuvres could have been utilized. Anyhow, it was a good result, and a CM Punk vs. Mr. Kennedy match at Backlash has potential.

Ric Flair Farewell Ceremony – This would have been special and I like the touch with the banner dropping down from the Raw set. However, WWE booked the original Ric Flair ceremony almost to perfection and not meaning to diminish your’s, but not many others could top their’s. Anyway, a good finish to Raw.

Overall: I have a couple of suggestions to make:
• Certain aspects of the show need lengthening – the promos may need writing out in full and more detail needs to be added to the matches. If you don’t want to add more detail to the matches, just describe the finishes to the matches in detail, which is what other writers do.
• Cut out squash matches. They do not add anything to the quality of the show. Instead, they decrease the quality of the product and do not draw fans.
• Regarding your first show, I am going to admit that it was rather lacklustre. None of the matches were above average and its hard to feel the true spirit of promos when they are written in little detail.

Creepy...Little...Bastards Creepy...Little...Review

So we start off with a nice opening video it makes this show look like it is going to be good, I hope it is. You really emphasized how important the Flair retirement was.

Umaga vs. Drew McIntyre: Well not what i was expecting to open up the show after Mania, I was kind of hoping for Randy Orton or something you know because he retained his title last night. Anyways another strike is a squash match to open the show, I like squash matches to help a star but they should really be used in the middle of the card.

Highlight Reel: An entertaining segment. I liked Kennedy complaining that the only reason he lost was because the ladder was wet from the rain and Jericho telling him it didn't ever rain. One thing i didn't like is William Regal scheduling a match at Backlash with Punk as he isn't even on Raw.

Cryme Tyme vs. Redneck Wrecking Crew: I liked this match for what was there, Shad shouldn't have been dominated like he was but I like how they stole Murdoch's hat at the end. Funny and just how I like the stereotypical black man.

'Super Nintendo' Cody Rhodes vs. Santino Marella: Can't complain here as I hate Cody Rhodes with a passion and I like you making him lose to Santino, albeit from outside interference. Still A strong tag team division is brewing and I hope Super Nintendo and his partner Mr. 1998 aren't apart of it as they both suck huge balls.

I'm guessing the part after this was supposed to be with the second match?

I don't know how I feel about Orton picking his own opponent because moments before he asked for the chance Regal was all about fairness and allowed Punk to decide if he wanted to face Kennedy or Jericho.

Beth Phoenix vs. Ashley: Another squash match? One is fine but two is not. Seriously Beth is past the squash part of her career.

Kennedy vs. Chris Jericho: Kennedy wins. Not surprised here as everybody doing a modern WWE pushes the shit out of this guy for the most part. He won and I hope Punk wins at backlash though.

The Ric Flair segment was what it was. You didn't really build it up through most of the night just in the beginning and it wasn't very long. Having everybody come out though was goood as I liked it in rl too so why not here? I liekd the banner you added though.

Overall Review: Not a very star studded show, some questionable matches but with time I think you can improve. This thread still has potential and I hope you can stick this one out.

COming from a guy who obviously has NEVER done a BTB in his life.

Although he does make a few valid points. Squashes are fine, but not too many.

He is wrong with the longer promos, IT'S A RECAP!

Was a meh show, but it looks like you'll get better.
