Re: Lashley ™ Presents: World Wrestling Entertainment
Just a few quick thoughts on Smackdown.
- Vickie kicking off the show was a good idea as she set up two big matches. But I think it is kind of random to have a tables match ... I mean they arent't used all that much and to have one is just a little odd. And with you already having a NO DQ match maybe a tables match is a little too much. And even though Guerrero has Ryder and Hawkins in his corner 'Taker will still go over.
- A good match with Punk/Hardy versus MVP/Kennedy. Pretty much the future of the WWE right here. Punk pinning MVP makes him look REAL strong, which is good. Good booking having Punk go over but not having Kennedy take the fall. This leaves the door open for some good matches between them.
- Rob Van Dam is back in ECW! I have to say this was a great choice. Only problem I see is that RVD is above all of the other people in his match. I think RVD is going to be on ECW for good and this isn't just one time deal. Please have RVD as ECW Champion ASAP. No doubt RVD and Dreamer go over Deuce 'N Domino. Again smart booking having RVD pick up the pin.
- Man I feel bad for Big Show. All of the other monsters of the WWE want him. To be honest though I am not liking this angle. It is pretty much all the monsters just thrown together because they are ... well, monsters. I have the feeling they just want to prove who is bigger and badder and that has been over and over.
- I don't like how Kofi gets some interview time when he just lost the match earlier in the night. He doesn't deserve any mic time after being eliminated by Benjamin. Give that time to Benjamin.
- Some exciting stuff in the tables match but again I think it was too mucht to have Taker deliver a Tombstone through the table. That kind of stuff should be saved for a PPV. A simple of chokeslam would've done the trick.
- With Taker going over Guerrero, Edge has to go over Kane and it happens. Only problem I see here is that Edge goes over clean, which degrades the ECW Championship.
Overall it was an okay show. Nothing really entertaining since it was so short, but I understand. Some good booking moments as you know who to win, who to lose and who to get pinned. On the other hand some things were a little too much. But Benjamin and Victoria going over = ratings. Good job, this BTB is really coming together.
Re: Lashley ™ Presents: World Wrestling Entertainment
Vickie starting the show was a good idea, as she made two very good matches. I loved the idea of a tables match as it has been forgotten by the WWE now.
Punk/Hardy vs MVP/Kennedy was very good, even though I am more of a MVP and Mr Kennedy fan compared to Hardy. I hope to see more of these four squring off in the ring in later weeks.
I like Rob Van Dam and I am happy that he is back in ECW! I have to say this was a great choice. I think that it was a nice added tounch that he was in the match and won.
The tables match was great. It was cool that Taker deliver a Tombstone through the table.
Overall the show was a bit on the short side but I enjoyed it. I hope to see more of this in the next show.

Lashley’s Smackdown! April 11th 08
Nice Divas match, very realistic
Hardy Punk/ MVP Kennedyliked the two teams you assembled here, the only part of the match I didn’t like was where Jeff clotheslined Kennedey over the top rope- why did Hardy go over the rope too? I didn’t really get that.
Big Show vs Henry and Kali- I’m not a fan of DQ finishes, but it was still a good match and the DQ made it more unpredictable because I thought Big Show was going to win after hitting the Showstopper. Like what you have going on with the big guys ganging up on the Big Show.
Cruiserweight open- Liked how this match progressed, and look forward to seeing who Kofi’s opponent will be. I didn’t really like the ‘Shelton was too heavy angle’. Wouldn’t they get weighed beforehand?
Taker/Chavo- I don’t really like Taker vs Chavo matches but the finish was classic stuff.
Edge/Kane- Very well written match, interesting from start to finish.
Other stuff- Solid opening, good matches announced. It didn’t jump off the page though.
Again standard La Familia stuff going on backstage, realistic and believable. Don’t get me wrong, it works, but I think you should change things up maybe after a few more weeks. I like the Dreamer/RVD combination, glad to see them pick up the win.
Re: Lashley ™ Presents: World Wrestling Entertainment
Right, after some thinking I have decided that I'm going to try and do full shows. This will mean it will take longer for the shows to be posted but hopefully they will be better. The Backlash PPV will most likely be in recap.
Re: Lashley ™ Presents: World Wrestling Entertainment
^^^You mean recap is easier and a lot quicker to do than full!^^^
Nige’s Smackdown Feedback
Vickie’s announcement was good, two big matches tonight, and it opens up the option of mayhem, which is always great and of course we can expect the rest of La Familia to get involved
I know it’s minor, but since you included commercial breaks in the show, there should have been one here before the first match as Vickie and Co would have to leave with McCool and Victoria come straight out. Victoria in action is always good, and against McCool who for some unknown reason to me is over, there would be some energy from the crowd. You picked the right winner for sure in Victoria in what was a good match
Short and simple recaps, this is why you must not like full ones, cos they take much more than just a couple of lines. It made sense with Chavo being pissed, at least we got an credible explanation from Vickie, with Ryder & Hawkins going to be involved anyway
I’m surprised this match was this low down on the card to be honest. Matt Punk, MVP & Kennedy should be before the main event if you ask me. It was a good match up for sure and Punk pinning MVP clean took me a little off guard, but it reinforces his status as Mr. Money in the Bank. The taunt to Kennedy was also good to keep some tension there
The return of RVD was cool and a real big coo. Teaming with dreamer however is beyond him, and I also think that Vickie had no real reason to get on him. I can see the fact that he is on her show being a slight reason, but it seems to me that they should have had the tag match right there with RVD already in the arena instead of him coming out again later on
A big man handicap match, something I would hate to see IRL. Khali and Henry are two guys I hate to see try and wrestle, so I was hoping it would be over quick. Umaga making an appearance was cool and gave Big Show a win, not a clean won, but still a win nonetheless. Liked the action from there, it seems to be working well with these two
Nice little pep talk from Edge, the little fillers that are needed and this was a good one to hype up the match later on
A cruiserweight open is always great as it’s just such great action to watch. Taking the Shelton/Kofi feud in to it was clever and having them finish it off really adds something to the feud too. The whole angle with Vickie taking the win away from Shelton from his was just a little strange. I guess that Shelton entered the match himself made it plausible, and it helps him get more attention. The filler with Edge was good too and teases better days and a face turn for Shelton
RVD & Dreamer were always going to win this one. The finish was good with both men hitting the big moves to wrap it all up and look pretty strong. Maybe an appearance from Miz & Morrison at the end or from the announce table would have added something to it. The promo though from RVD was good, but the champs look a little like cowards now, which maybe they are
Kofi promo was okay, not much to go on but was okay to add on after his win earlier on. Good that he is getting some mic time too to help further his push
Very good tables match for sure with Taker looking very strong, finishing off both Talentless & Generic before putting Chavo through the table. The right result and good booking of Taker
Edge was always going to beat Kane, although I was surprised he did it on his own. The chair was enough though and he needed that win with his match against Taker coming up. I would also say the From The Vault match wasn’t needed with there being 7 matches already on the card
Re: Lashley ™ Presents: World Wrestling Entertainment
Thanks for the review Nige™, I will try and return it.
Also, yeah your mostly right. Full takes longer it takes up time that I don't necessarily have and I enjoy doing recap much more, as Recap is more like a story than a script.
