Re: Renegade Presents: WWE 2003 - Now Go Home And Get Your Fucking Shinebox

A few answers for you 619

Goozle is the term used when a wrestler grabs their opponent by the throat, before lifting them up and slamming them down with a Chokeslam or Choke based manouver. Tazz and JR use it alot when describing matches, surprised you didn't know that.

Oh and Hogan got put through the SMACKDOWN! announce table, not the Spanish, as Spike did earlier.

Thanks for the feedback tho and to IP too, it will be returned very soon.

RAW/SD! will be posted at the same time at the end of the week (as in next week) with RAWs in recap and SD!'s in full leading into the SD! based PPV. Then when it's an RAW ppv, the roles will reverse.

Any more feedback will be much appreciated and returned also guys

Re: Renegade Presents: WWE 2003 - Now Go Home And Get Your Fucking Shinebox

I've only read Backlash, and I'm already hooked. As surreal as it is to read "Cena taps," I didn't let it bug me too much, seeing as it wasn't an established trait, and he was the heel.

Fanboyisms aside, great show, and repped.

Re: Renegade Presents: WWE 2003 - Now Go Home And Get Your Fucking Shinebox

X-Power's Backlash Review

Well I promised you a review and here it is.

Starting the PPV off with a six-man tables match is perfect imo. It would get them pumped up perfectly and give them a fun opener for the PPV. I personally love these sort of clusterfuck gimmick matches so it should be a fun read. It's interesting making the match with tag-ins and not tornado tag and although I suppose the latter would make more sense in a no DQ match this one would be loads easier to write. Some nice touches with the added dialogue from Bubba calling Rosey fat, which legit made me lol, and also Jamal going for a pin which was pretty funny as well. The senton bomb through the table would have been a sick spot and a good way to add another table-breaking spot without an elimination. Also lol'd at 'faggoty perm'. Rico being eliminated first was something I saw coming and was done in a nice way but the spot where Spike was eliminated was even better, would have been sick irl. The two jobbers out first was always gonna happen and there's some nice action with only the four left, including another nice elimination with the powerbomb. It's interesting to see the faces with the numbers advantage throughout most of this match as most would book that reversely. The finish off the match was nice with Spike coming back out and getting owned in the end, as well as the faces winning which I always saw coming. Overall a fun opener with a lot of great spots.

Evolution backstage is a nice little way to hype up the main event and points towards some sort of interference by the other three members.

I've actually never read or listened to a Cena rap as I started watching in '05 but this was really good. Not much I can say about it except that it's some good last minute hype. Anyway, the match. Good intensity from Benoit at the start and I lol'd at SUICIDE DIVE, regardless of whether that makes me a bad person or not. I liked Cena working on the shoulder as it also sort of weakens the crossface if i'm not mistaken, so it's good to see him working smart. The rest of the match had some nice counters and I liked the finish with Cena trying to cheat and Benoit making him tap. I can't say I expected that ending but it's a good way to finish off the match. One thing though is that it would add a little more excitement with dramatic pinfalls being counted on separate lines, but it's not really an issue because this is recapped after all.

The Rock promo was all nicely in character and there's not really anything negative to say about it. I'm guessing Rocky's a heel here but him getting some mixed reactions could lead to a turn in the future, idk. Maybe he always got mixed reactions when he was a heel. The start of the match would have made for a great moment at the time with the staredown and the shove and it sets the scene for the match. Steiner dominating the start of the match makes him look really great and the pushups are a nice touch, as well as telling him to STFU. There is some nice action afterwards with Rocky dominating most of the match but Steiner makes his little comebacks and kicking out of the elbow was a good near fall, as was Rocky kicking out of The Flatliner. Another LOL at Steiner mouthing 'shit' afterwards. The ending was good as it didn't make Steiner look too weak and it gives the momentum to The Rock, who's probably the one you want to be pushing here.

The Goldberg and Evolution attack was shocking but now that it happened I should have seen it coming. It was written well but only makes it more obvious to me that a Goldberg interference will lead to Booker winning the cage match.

I'm expecting Guerrero to win the next match after Benoit won before, let's see. The start is typical with Eddie trying to knock Show off his feet but TBS prevailing with his power. Thanks for explaining the term 'goozle' above as I wouldn't have heard of it either. The match is again sort of typical in the big man/little man fashion but there's no problem as it was kept short. I loved the ending as it really made me miss Eddie and his antics. Good way to have him advance without having to make Show look weak by being pinned.

It's good to see Booker gave one hell of a promo, pity we'll never exactly know what he said.

The Vince promo is well in character and I liked his interactions with the GMs. If brand exclusive PPVs is all he came out for it seems like a bit of a waste tbh, but it's still good to see. Steph finally having her outburst was good and wow. Steve Austin. Wouldn't have seen that coming at all at this point in the PPV but boy is it great. Stunners to Bischoff and VKM are of course necessary as is the beer sculling and it would have made a hell of a moment.

I'll finish this review later tonight.

Re: Renegade Presents: WWE 2003 - Now Go Home And Get Your Fucking Shinebox

Hey, first time I reviewed your show but read through it all and you’re obviously more than capable.

Kick things off with the tables match is a good way to do things, gets the crowd going. Very frantic pace which is a good thing. Rosey crashing through the table trying to get Spike was a nice move, I didn’t know that means you aren’t eliminated so at least he’s still in, would have been a cheap elimination. God I can imagine Spike getting hit with that Senton bomb too, wish you would have gone through with it! Rico going out first was a good move as he’s pretty much the out man in all of this, nice twist in the fact it was Jamal who set the table up.

Spike being next eliminated is no surprise either and a great way to do it, highlights how brutal 3MW are. Haha nice comment about Spike being dead. Rosey next out and Bubba power bombing him shows how much strength he has in him, another good elimination. Rico pulling Bubba out the ring despite his elimination was a good move to gain some more heat for both him and the other two as D-von is eliminated, very well done in my opinion.

Great ending to the match with the 3D and kicking things off with the faces winning was a smart move, good match up there, fast paced, high action and some good booking decisions such as Rico coming back out and then Spike to save his brothers.

I was never that keen on Cena’s rapping but I commend you for giving it a go and was a good effort. The match itself was a good contest and you made Cena look strong which was encouraging. I thought that Benoit would win and it was the correct call in my opinion. Very good ending with Cena holding out on the crossface before looking to get the FU in but fails. The crossface for a second time was always going to end it as it should.

Great Rock promo as always, loved this guys heel character and you capture it brilliantly.

The match itself was better than I expected. The opening was good, gave it a big match feel with the staredown and trash talking. Steiner dominating things early on, the pushups twice in quick succession was a bit much though. Rock then gets the momentum and I like that he imitates Steiner with the pushups as I can definitely see him doing that. Was very surprised Steiner kicked out of the ‘Hollywood’ elbow, I understand why but I think you shoulda maybe had him kick out of a rock bottom instead of that move. Eventually Rocky does get the three count though and it comes via a rock bottom, good match, only criticism for me would be that you shoulda switched the rock bottom with Hollywood elbow.

Good match up again here with Guerrero and Show. Loved the hurricanrana into a power bomb spot from Big Show. Classic Guerrero ending to the match, very well done and a Benoit/Guerrero final, as surreal as it is, is going to be a good contest.

Vince’s announcement doesn’t go down well with the fans, I like it as it gives both brands their chance to shine and the announcement isn’t a let down for the fans after all as Stone Cold returns to the blue brand. Good move here as Stone Cold will fit in well over with Steph and hopefully we see Stone Cold get into it with Hogan and Lesnar at some stage.

I.C. battle royal was always gonna be tough to write and you did a good job. A hell of a lot entries and I think you probably should have cut it down a bit. Nonetheless some big names in there but hopefully you use this to build someone up. Jericho and HBK going out so soon surprised me but they’ll continue their feud and with Christian eliminating Michaels, I kinda guessed at that stage he’d win it so it was certainly a good call going with him.

Women’s title doesn’t bother me, sorry to say!

Triple threat match was a very good contest. Surprised to see Taker come out on top as I expected you to keep the Angle/Lesnar deal going on but Lesnar/Taker match should be great. Very good way to end things though with Lesnar basically screwing Angle, that rivalry will continue somewhere down the line, soon enough I’m sure. Good booking here, builds the anticipation for another Lesnar/Angle match.

The main event was an excellent match and I was stunned Booker won the title. A great intense, hard hitting, violent affair inside the cage, was superb stuff man. Goldberg returning was expected, however I though Evolution would get the better of him again and when Booker hit the Scissors kick, I couldn’t believe it, brilliant stuff and I am intrigued where you go next with this as Trips will no doubt have his eyes on both Booker and Goldberg now.

Overall an impressive PPV. Enjoyed all the matches and the booking decisions were generally spot on in terms of furthering feuds, only one I don’t have a clue with next is the World title but it should be interesting that’s for sure, well done on this and looking forward to Raw.

Re: Renegade Presents: WWE 2003 - Now Go Home And Get Your Fucking Shinebox

Thanks to all who have left feedback so far, any others are welcome.

Here's the RAW preview, as I said this week it's going up same time as SD!, which will see the RAW recap and SD! full go up together at the end of the week most likely. Depending on time constraints this may become the norm. Time will tell. Anyways, preview

WWE RAW Preview for 4/28/03
Boston; MA

RAW will be live from the Fleet Center in Boston as the fall out from Backlash begins

Booker T won the World Heavyweight Championship in a brutal Steel Cage match beating Triple H. What will the new champ have to say about his victory, and what indeed will Triple H and Evolution have to say after what transpired, which included Goldberg again foiling their plans and making his mark on proceedings

Christian became the Intercontinental Champion, winning a 20 man battle royal to take the vacant title, last eliminating Rob Van Dam. What can we expect from Christian tonight and will RVD be given a proper match to challenge for the belt?

During the same match, Chris Jericho brutally assaulted Shawn Michaels, leaving HBK with a fracture in his left ankle. Shawn's good friend Kevin Nash has promised to update us on his condition during the show and has told WWE.com he'll be looking to exact revenge on Chris Jericho for his actions

The Rock beat Scott Steiner in a hard hitting affair last night, what is next for the Brahma Bull? All this and much more on WWE RAW 8/9pm central on Spike TV.

Re: Renegade Presents: WWE 2003 - Now Go Home And Get Your Fucking Shinebox

Backlash Feedback

It’s been over a year, so it’s about damn time you got this up.

The six man tag tables match seems like a good way to start things off to get the crowd up and excited. Good to see the action really kick off with a bang early, although I didn’t like you actually making this a tag match with all six not in the ring. Maybe it’s just a personal gripe, but since there’s no DQ and the only rule is that you have to put your opponent through a table to eliminate them, I hate when the others don’t just climb in the ring. It’s not like you can disqualified anyway. Anyway, moving on, the action early on was pretty good, keeping things exciting before the tables got involved. Rico coming in only because a weakened Spike was in was a good way to show him off as a real coward. Rosey putting himself through the table was a good spot too as a “nearfall” type thing that gets the crowd excited, only for it not to be actual elimination, while Rico is a logical first elimination, which was nicely set up. The spot to eliminate Spike and even things up seemed cool, although extremely risky and perhaps not something you’d see. The elimination of Jamal, on the other hand, was a nice typical Dudley Boyz spot to use. A bit odd to see the face team with the advantage towards the end as it doesn’t really do a lot to build sympathy for them like you usually see, although having Rosey and Rico come back into things fixed that nicely. The little fight back from Bubba after some 3MW was nice for a hope spot before 3MW took back over. The ending, with Spike and D-Von coming back also makes sense nicely, even if Spike should probably be dead, and makes for a good ending to the first match to get the crowd pumped up. Obviously a spotty match with the stipulation, but still a good way to get things kicked off.

I’ll be happy if you make it to Judgment Day this year.

Nice to see a bit of hype for the main event, with the last added stipulation. Should be interesting to see what Evolution is up to.

@ the Cena rap before the match.

Pretty basic type of match here in the early and middle parts, with the work on Benoit’s arm from Cena seeming pretty good. You put some nice hope spots in there, keeping the crowd interested by having Benoit almost take control of the match, only to allow Cena to look good by dominating the majority of the match. I really liked Cena losing the advantage due to his arrogance in going for Benoit’s signature move, as it suits Cena’s attitude from the time perfectly and shows off his attitude in a great way. The finish was good too, both with the innovative use of the gutbuster from Cena, along with the attempt to cheat, only for Benoit to prevail. A good match, not just to get Benoit to the final, but also to allow Cena to look good by having him hang with Benoit and even survive the crossface once.

Simple promo from The Rock with him running through his catchphrases, although the actual content to connect it was all good, and the little heelish mannerisms to have the crowd boo were done well too.

Not too up on this Heyman bit, but I wouldn’t mind you bringing him back, be it with or without Team Angle.

Honestly, while the buildup to this match has been great, I wasn’t so sure about the quality of the match between Steiner and Rock coming into this. With that said, the start was nice, showing off Steiner’s strength and continuing the mind games well that this feud has been all about. Rock mocking him back was nice too, and while the action was just okay, the interaction between Steiner and Rock, as well as Rock and the crowd was great through the middle portion of the match. The ending was good too, with the nearfalls and counters building along well, although the final counter into the finish seemed a little weak. Still, a pretty good match here despite that.

Good to see you really doing something with this Evolution/Goldberg thing. Having Evolution take ‘Berg out before the main event is fine, getting the feud between Triple H and Goldberg set to explode after tonight.

Not a whole lot to say on the Show/Eddie match, other than that it seemed like a pretty nice big man/small man type of match, with speed vs. power. While the way the ref bump was set up was maybe a little lame, the ending was a nice typical Eddie spot. A bit surprised you’re repeating history with an Eddie/Rhyno match, but it should be good.

A nice promo from Booker to build for the main event, with the theme of the feud being played up well with the mention that Booker is the underdog.

I honestly have no idea what’s going on with the Vince announcement, so this segment should be interesting. Nice way to start the promo off from Vince here, gaining him some cheap heat before he brings the General Managers out. Bischoff playing the real suck up as soon as he came out was a nice way to show the type of slimy heel Bischoff is, while Stephanie standing up to her dad is a good little contrast. Not too sure about the brand exclusive Pay-Per-View announcement here. I get that you made it underwhelming on purpose to try to get Vince heat, but to build it up as something big and then announce that is legitimately disappointing in a way that doesn’t just make you dislike Vince. At the same time, I do prefer the brand exclusive Pay-Per-Views to the dual brand ones all year round, as I believe it gives the midcard a chance to shine and also makes the big four seem that much more special, so I am glad that you’re going with the idea in a way. Steph standing up for the fans is a nice way to position her looking like a big face, while connecting the videos Vince was interrupting into this segment is a clever way to go about things. The way the arrival was built up was good, with the debut of Austin as a SmackDown! signing fitting perfectly in this segment. Personally, I don’t think I’m such a fan of it purely because having him go out with a match against The Rock at WrestleMania XIX seemed perfect, plus I don’t like seeing guys being brought back once they’ve retired (yes, I like realism). Still, Austin laying out both Vince and Bischoff before announcing his arrival on SmackDown! and celebrating was a good way to end the segment. A well written segment, despite my personal feelings on bringing someone like an Austin back.

Interesting to show all of the possible alliances for the Battle Royal, which could possibly play a part. It adds an extra dynamic to the match.

Not going to leave real in-depth comments for everything that happens in this match due to the nature of it. Jericho being an early elimination was a bit of a surprise, as I expected him and Michaels to be amongst the final four, although the early elimination of Jericho, and as a result, the one of Michaels, works fine to further their feud while also getting your mandatory early eliminations in there. The viciousness of Jericho was also good to see. The eliminations from there came along pretty nicely, with the working together against Henry and the clever elimination of having Hardy pushed off the top rope. The face-off between Kane and Nash was a nice little spot too, before some good sneaky eliminations from Evolution and Christian. While I’m not a huge Maven fan either, the involvement with Evolution, having him eliminate Flair and then be eliminated by Orton due to Flair’s interference was a good way to keep his rise up the card going as he continues what seems like a feud with Naitch. The action from there was fine up until the final two, with no amazing eliminations or anything, with just the standard type eliminations occurring. The finishing sequence was nice, with a few close calls, before the ending with both men on the apron. The result honestly doesn’t surprise me, and with you being such a Christian mark, hopefully the IC Title will really mean something.

Michaels being out for a few months is fine, I guess, allowing Jericho to probably feud with Nash for the time being.

Benoit/Eddie should be good, even if the respectful route is a little boring.

Not really a whole lot to say on the Victoria/Trish match, as it seemed like your regular TV style match. Nonetheless, the writing was fine, and this is a decent way to start Trish’s reign off.

I look forward to seeing SummerSlam in 2015.

A classic type of start to the match that I really like with the two faces taking care of he heel, before squaring off themselves. Good to see you using the classic way to make it a bit more of a one on one match by having one of the faces taken out too, allowing the match to flow a little more. The spot to do it from Angle on Hogan was very nice too, and a good way to keep things exciting through the middle portion of the match. The exchange after that between Angle and ‘Taker was good too, with some nice counters and good use of the tension between Lesnar as the ref and Angle. The end sequence after Hogan came back in was nice too, especially with Angle seemingly having the match won, only to be “screwed” by Lesnar. The result surprised me, as ‘Taker/Lesnar had been done enough for the time being oimo, but this should further the bigger story of Angle/Lesnar well.

The fiery start to this match was good to see, really playing on Booker’s hatred in both a positive way, by having him dominate, and a negative way by having him lose control of the match. Good to see the impact of the moves picking up early due to the environment too, with a very exciting middle portion of the match with Booker and Triple H both bleeding, plus Flair’s interference and the nearfalls from the Book End, the Spinebuster and the Pedigree. Triple H not wanting to leave because he wanted to punish Booker some more was a good little spot though, although the count out spot was pointless, because you can only win by pinfall, submission or escape, thus there is no count out. The same goes for the ref bump, because there’s no DQ anyway, although I have to admit that I liked the spot with Booker fighting off Triple H, only for the rest of Evolution to appear. Some really good writing in having Triple H talk up that no one can stop Evolution when Goldberg arrived back in the arena too, showing that he is in fact the man to do it. The writing of the end was great too, especially with Triple H trying to lock himself away from Goldberg, only for ‘Berg to break his way into the cage. It was all a good way to set up for the big finish of Booker finally beating Triple H and capturing the title, ending the event on a high note. I’m not so sure about Booker as the top face champion, especially not on the flagship show, but I guess with Goldberg and Evolution around, he’ll have more than enough assistance at the top of the show. Good finish to the event.

Well, the show took far too long to get here, but when it did, it delivered. The only thing I really have to say is that I hope you stick around and keep going with this, because it certainly adds to the section. Suarez > Man U too btw.

These reports are of course unconfirmed but expect updates as we hear more on them

Well, since we're "competing" I may as well re check out this thread of yours, so I'll be sure to share my thoughts when Raw is posted. Which looks good, by the way.

Re: Renegade Presents: WWE 2003 - Now Go Home And Get Your Fucking Shinebox

WWE RAW
4/28/03
Fleet Center
Boston; Massachusetts

*Opening Video*

*PYRO*

The camera pans around the crowd as JR & King welcome us to the show and go over the major talking points from last night; Christian winning the Intercontinental Championship, Jericho assaulting Michaels leading to HBK having a fracture in his left ankle, the Dudleyz beating 3 Minute Warning in the Elimination Tables match, The Rock beating Scott Steiner despite copping quite a beating, Trish beating Victoria to retain her Women's Championship, Evolution's attack on Goldberg leading to him being driven out of the arena, and of course Booker beating Triple H to win the World Heavyweight Championship inside the Steel Cage match thanks to an assist from Goldberg who returns in time to wreck havoc and destroy Evolution

*LINE IN THE SAND*

The show kicks off with Evolution heading to the ring all looking in a sour mood. Triple H gets the mic as he says last night Evolution had a plan and they executed it to near perfection, but somehow, it all fell apart. Crowd begins a "Goldberg" chant which gets to Triple H as he tells the crowd to "shut your damn mouths" to big heat. Trips then says they were about to send a message not just to Booker T but the entire RAW locker room that Evolution is always in control, when Goldberg once again got involved in their business. Triple H says Goldberg will pay for what he's done, but first he wants Booker T to get out here and prepare for another ass kicking because Triple H wants his rematch right here tonight on RAW! The crowd loves that. Triple H waits a few seconds before becoming impatient and tells Booker he's got ten seconds before Evolution come back there and get him

*CAN YOU DIG IT, SUCKA?*
*RAP SHEET*

The crowd erupts with a big pop as Booker T makes his way out, his new World title slung over his shoulder. Booker has a big smile on his face as the crowd start a "Booker Tee" chant. Booker tells Triple H he's on top of the world right now, all the hard work, all the blood and sweat he's shed to get to where he's at, has been worth it, and he's not gonna give that up. Triple H says that Booker was lucky last night, he was beaten by the better man in every way, except the deciding fall. Triple H says he proved Booker T was out of his league and without Goldberg, Booker would've never won last night. Booker says Triple H wouldn't have been champion for long if not for Evolution. Booker says if Triple H thinks he was the better of the two last night, he needs his head examined because Booker beat it so much, he's probably lost a few brain cells. The Game says he wants a piece of Booker T right now. Booker seems ready to oblige despite being out numbered four to one when

*I'M BACK*

Out comes our General Manager to heat from the fans. Bischoff tells the two to calm down because this is Bischoff's show and he'll decide what goes down tonight. Bischoff first announces that seeing as SmackDown! have a brand exclusive PPV coming up at the end of May, that RAW can't simply have nothing special on their side of the line, and thus the RAW Roulette will make it's return in three weeks time! Crowd likes this. Bischoff then states that Ric Flair will be going one on one with Maven tonight, which Flair likes the sound of after being embarrassed by the youngster twice in the last week. He also says Orton & Batista will be teaming up to take on the Dudley Boyz. Bischoff also states that Goldberg will be here tonight and will be in action. Huge pop for that. He then says that Christian will defend his Intercontinental Championship against RVD, seeing as Van Dam was the last man eliminated in the Battle Royal last night. Triple H is getting angry however and tells Bischoff to stop stalling and give him his title match. Bischoff asks Triple H if he 's sure he wants it tonight and Triple H says he's "damn sure". Bischoff says it's official, Booker T will defend the World Heavyweight Championship against Triple H in tonight's main event to a massive cheer from the fans. Bischoff then states that there will be NO interference from anybody, otherwise they will be FIRED ON THE SPOT! The rest of Evolution don't seem to happy with this but Bischoff says it's not just to stop them, but in case Goldberg feels the need to repeat last night's heroics. Bischoff then wishes both men good luck and leaves as Booker T and Trips stare down and we head to a commercial with JR & King hyping up their match tonight

Jericho questions why Nash is standing by Michaels' side in all of this. Jericho asks Nash if the situation was the other way around, would HBK care about Nash? Jericho says since the beginning, despite what it seems, HBK is only looking out for himself. Nash doesn't believe that for a second and says the friendship they have is far too great for that to ever happen. Jericho then winds back the clock and reminds Nash of SummerSlam 1994, when Michaels hit him with Sweet Chin Music and cost him the Intercontinental title against Razor Ramon. Jericho also reminds Nash of the 1996 Royal Rumble when HBK eliminated him from the match. Big Kev shrugs it off, saying it was years ago, and they're even closer now than ever. SmackDown!
5/1/03
Gaylord () Entertainment Center
Nashville; TN

*Opening Video*

*PYRO*

Cole: Hello and welcome everyone to the sold out Gaylord Entertainment Center here in Nashville, Tennessee, this is WWE SmackDown! I'm Michael Cole and I'm joined by Tazz and partner I gotta say, what a PPV we witnessed in Worcester last Saturday?

Tazz: Oh no doubt Cole, it was off the hook, and I can't wait for the fallout tonight. The Undertaker is the number one contender for Judgment Day, and will face Brock Lesnar. I can't wait for that!

Cole: We've seen them beat the hell out of each other before last year at Unforgiven and No Mercy, but I wonder if things will be different. We've also got the final of the United States Championship tournament as good friends Eddie Guerrero and Chris Benoit will face off.

Tazz: That's gonna be a rocketbuster, two of the best wrestlers we've seen on the SmackDown! brand going at it.

*GLASS SHATTERS*

The crowd EXPLODES with a thunderous pop as STONE COLD STEVE AUSTIN appears on stage to a standing ovation from the fans

Cole: And let's not forget this man, Stone Cold Steve Austin, is now on SmackDown! thanks to our General Manager Stephanie McMahon!

Tazz: This is huge Cole, it's four days later and I'm still buzzing!

Cole: Just listen to the crowd, this is an ovation!

Austin gets into the ring and salutes the fans on all four corners before having a mic handed to him by Tony Chimel. Austin's music fades away and the crowd are still going nuts with a huge "Austin" chant. Stone Cold smiles and waits for the chant to die down before finally speaking

Austin: Ya know, I don't say this often, but thank you, each and everyone of you.

Huge cheer

Austin: Coz a month ago, after I lost to The Rock at Wrestlemania 19, I sat at home, drinking a beer, not doing much of anything except sittin' around on my ass, thinking I'd wrestled my last match in the WWE at Mania...

Austin paces back and forth

Austin: And I considered calling it a day there and then.

Austin continues pacing

Austin: Coz I was sore, I was tired, I felt like a broken down man. So I had a few more beers and contemplated hangin' up the old boots.

Boo's for the thought of Austin retiring

Austin: But am I gonna retire? Am I gonna give it all up, after a loss? Well nuh-uh! Stone Cold ain't goin' out like that!

Big pop for that

Austin: And I'm hear on SmackDown! tonight because of one person, and that's Stephanie McMahon.

Pop

Austin: Now Stephanie and Stone Cold go way back, and have never exactly gotten along, but when she rang me up last month, she told me as it was, she didn't kiss my ass and beg me to come back, she said there was a spot for me on SmackDown! and it didn't take good ol' Stone Cold long to accept the invitation. In fact, by the time I'd finished my first beer, I picked up the phone and rang her back, and said hell yeah Stone Cold Steve Austin's coming to SmackDown!

Huge cheer as Austin now leans over the ring ropes before continuing

Austin: And now al-

*WHO BETTER THAN KANYON?*

WHAT THE? The crowd is totally surprised to hear this guy's music as CHRIS KANYON appears on stage. Austin is looking at him, bemused as to why he's out here. Kanyon holds his hand up to the fans who begin booing him

Kanyon: Ladies and gentlemen, please, if you wouldn't mind showing a real returning superstar some respect?

Major heat for that as Kanyon smirks and a "You Suck" chant begins

Kanyon: Now Steve, it's all well and good that you're on SmackDown! and all that jazz, but really, you have to ask yourself, does anybody really care anymore?

Ouch, mega heat for that

Kanyon: I mean really, the fans should be more excited about seeing the return of SmackDown!'s very own M-V-P, than they are to see you're washed up ass again.

The crowd is shitting on Kanyon who's doing well to make himself more unpopular than Asama Bin Laden as he begins to head to the ring with Austin's cold blue eyes locked on him

Kanyon: Now look Steve, don't get me wrong, in your day you were one hell of a fighter, a great champion. And I stress, in your day. But it's 2003, it's time to accept your time is coming to a close, but fear not, because the people will have a new hero to cheer for, as they witness the rise of Kanyon!

Mega heat as Kanyon steps into the ring with Austin still glaring at him, still looking a bit perplexed as to why this is happening

Kanyon: Hey, don't look at me with those judgmental eyes, I'm just saying what nobody else around here seems to have the guts to say.

Again huge heat as a loud "Austin" chant begins, before Kanyon cuts them off

Kanyon: No, no Nashville, you're doing it wrong. It's Kanyon, Kanyon, Kanyon. Everybody now!

"Kanyon Sucks" chants begin instead

Kanyon: Ah they'll get it in time. Now look Steve, don't take it personally, I mean correct me if I'm wrong, but The Rock didn't just beat you at Wrestlemania, he totally outclassed you. He showed the world that you're a shadow of your former self. You couldn't match his speed, his quick wit, and in the end, he was far too strong for you. Face it Steve, your time's come and gone. It's time to step down gracefully, before you embarrass yourself again...

Kanyon puts a hand on Austin's shoulder as he says that last bit, and Austin slowly looks at it before turning to the crowd seemingly for advice, the crowd pop and Austin gets that smile of his when he's up to no good

Austin: You know what son, maybe I'm not the same wrestler I was five years ago... I'm sorry, what's your name?

WHAT

Kanyon: It's Ch-

Austin: WHAT?

WHAT

Kanyon: CHR-

Austin: WHAT?

WHAT

Austin: {Laughing} As I was saying, maybe I'm not the same wrestler I was five years ago. But that being said, I'm damn sure I could still whoop your ass!

With that said, Austin rocks Kanyon with a right hand to a huge pop! Austin unloads on him with a series of rights, backing him into the corner and then continues it there, teeing off on Kanyon and beating him down. Austin then proceeds to stomp a mudhole and walk it dry as the crowd chants along "WHAT" to every stomp. Austin flips Kanyon the double bird and finishes it off with one more stomp, then turns to the crowd and yells out "WHAT" and they respond in kind. Austin brings Kanyon to his feet and flips him the bird again, boots him in the gut and DROPS HIM WITH A STUNNER! The crowd goes wild as Austin hits Kanyon with the Stunner then calls for some Steveweisers! Austin cracks them open over Kanyon and downs them both before calling for some more and climbing the turnbuckle, downing them to the delight of the fans as his music hits again. Austin hops off and calls for some more beers and cracks them open before pouring one all over Kanyon's face! Austin exits the ring and continues the beer bash up the ramp

Cole: Oh hell yeah Stone Cold! Kanyon just had a can of whoop ass opened up on him!

Tazz: Well I don't know what Kanyon was thinking coming out here and running Austin down like that, but he damn sure paid for it Cole, Austin's here and as he said on Sunday at Backlash, he's gonna raise as much hell as possible.

Cole: And you can bet he'll deliver on that promise, knowing Stone Cold like we do.

The match continues like this through the commercial break and as we return Eddie has Benoit in a Cross Arm Breaker. Benoit refuses to submit and rolls over, meaning Guerrero's stuck with his shoulders on the mat as Benoit pushes down on him 1...Eddie lets go of the hold. Guerrero is quicker to his feet as Benoit clutches at his left arm and shoots him to the ropes and takes him down with a Tilt-A-Whirl Slam! Cover 1...2..kickout by Benoit. Guerrero brings Benoit to his feet and hits a right hand, then goes to shoot him to the ropes, but this time Benoit counters, then meets Eddie on the rebound, pressing him up into the air and letting him fall down onto his chest! Eddie gets up holding his chest then swings wildly at Benoit who ducks under, then grabs Guerrero by the waist and hits a German Suplex! Benoit keeps the hands locked on and takes Eddie down with a second German Suplex! Benoit brings Eddie up and delivers a third German Suplex to Guerrero. The Rabid Wolverine gets to his feet and makes the cut throat taunt to a pop as Benoit looks to put Eddie away and become the United States Champion. Chris Benoit climbs the turnbuckle and LEAPS OFF WITH THE DIVING HEADBUTT...AND IT CONNECTS! Benoit hits it and after writhing around for a moment in pain after using his head in the high impact move, covers Eddie 1...2...NO! FOOT ON THE ROPES! Benoit can't believe it and brushes Eddie's foot off and covers again 1...2...Eddie kicks out!

Benoit quickly tries to apply the CROSSFACE but Eddie is all over the ropes, forcing Jim Korderas to get in and break it up before it had even been fully applied. Benoit gets to his feet and winces after taking some punishment earlier in the match, and as Eddie struggles to his feet and Benoit hits a forearm strike to Eddie, then another, and then whips him to the corner and follows in, but Eddie vaults back over Benoit using the turnbuckle to bring himself up and Benoit turns around into a boot from Eddie who then performs an arm twist on Benoit and climbs up to the top rope before balancing along it and leaping off with a Headscissors Takedown to Benoit! Eddie doesn't cover but instead exits onto the apron and then leaps back in with the Somersault Senton! Cover 1...2...Benoit gets a shoulder up. Eddie brings Benoit up and plants him with a Suplex. Guerrero pops the hips and floats over, bringing Benoit up and planting him with a second Suplex! Guerrero again brings Benoit up going for the THREE AMIGOS...BUT BENOIT BLOCKS IT AND TAKES GUERRERO DOWN WITH THE CROSSFACE! The crowd erupts as Benoit locks it in out of no where in the middle of the ring. Eddie desperately tries to grab the ropes but he's not even close to them. Guerrero tries to roll over and escape BUT BENOIT KEEPS IT GOING AND ROLLS BACK IN CONTROL WITH THE CROSSFACE STILL APPLIED! Eddie's in big trouble as he again tries to reach the ropes but he can't and EDDIE TAPS OUT! Benoit is the first ever WWE United States Champion!
Winner @ 13:46 - Chris Benoit

Benoit is handed the title and he is helped to his feet as Jimmy Korderas raises his hand in victory

Chimel: Ladies and gentlemen, here is your winner and NEWWWW, United States Champion, Chris Benoittttt!

Cole: Chris Benoit has won! Benoit is the first ever WWE United States Champion!

Tazz: What a match Cole, what a match. Benoit and Guerrero both left it all in the ring for the US Title, hats off to both of them.

Cole: Eddie Guerrero put up one hell of a contest but Chris Benoit pulled the Crossface out of nowhere and once that's locked on, chances of survival are slim.

-Commercial Break-

Back from the break and we're in Stephanie McMahon's office. Steph is on the phone when in barges Kanyon

Kanyon: Did you see that travesty earlier?

Steph hangs up the phone

Steph: {Smugly} Yeah I was surprised Eddie Guerrero didn't win either.

Steph grins as theirs a few laughs from the crowd

Kanyon: {Scowls}I'm talking about the assault I just received from that loud mouthed redneck!

Steph: Oh that.

Kanyon: Yes, that.

Steph: What about it?

Kanyon: I demand to know what you're going to do about it!

Steph looks at Kanyon with a quizzical expression

Steph: Well I wasn't planning on anything. This isn't kindergarten Chris, this is the WWE.

Kanyon: I know that. Fine, if you won't punish him for what he did, I will. I want him in the ring!

Pop for that

Steph: Really?

Kanyon: Yes!

Steph: You want to face Stone Cold Steve Austin?

Kanyon: Yes I do.

Steph shrugs her shoulders and nods her head in agreement

Steph: Well you got it. Next week on SmackDown! you're going one on one with Stone Cold.

Crowd pops

Kanyon: Good. It's time someone shut Steve Austin up for good, and WHO BETTER THAN KANYON?

Kanyon walks out and Steph smirks, not quite believing Kanyon wanted that match and then in walks a road agent

Roadie: Stephanie?

Steph: Yes.

Roadie: I have a message for you.

Steph: From who?

Roadie: Mr.McMahon.

Steph's smirks

Steph: And what's that?

Roadie: He says next week he's coming to SmackDown! ...and he says you've got some explaining to do. And he says this time, if he doesn't hear what he wants, he will fire you.

Steph's smile fades away and she looks a little hesitant now

Steph: If that's all, thanks. I guess...

The roadie nods and leaves as Steph begins to ponder next week as we come back to ringside

Cole: Oh boy. Vince McMahon is coming to SmackDown! next week folks, and after what happened at Backlash when Stephanie and Stone Cold embarrassed him in front of millions of viewers, he's gonna be in one sour mood!

Tazz: Steph's face told the whole story Cole, big trouble brewing amongst the McMahon family.

Cole: And you gotta wonder if Steve Austin is gonna factor into it all, it was him who gave Vince the Stunner, and I'm sure Vince won't forget that either. But next week we will see the in ring return of Steve Austin as he takes on Kanyon, one on one, what a match that's gonna be.

Tazz: Give Kanyon credit Cole, he's not running away with his tail between his legs, he's got the guts to step up and get a match with Austin, big ups for Kanyon!

*ASS MAN*

There's a small pop from the fans as "Mr. Ass" Billy Gunn heads to the ring for the upcoming contest. Billy stops on the ramp and turns around, then wiggles his behind and points to it just reminding us incase we all don't know what he's all about

*MANIAC ATTACK*

Out comes Mike Awesome, having not been seen since the surprise return against Eddie Guerrero last month, to a decent mark out reaction from some fans and heat from others. Awesome gets into the ring and taunts the crowd

Match 2
Singles Match
Billy Gunn vs Mike Awesome

Billy starts off like a house on fire and comes close to beating Awesome with the ONE AND ONLY and covers for a 1...2...NO! Awesome kicks out. Awesome then counters a Back Suplex by floating over and dropping Billy with a Neckbreaker! Awesome takes control and works over Billy, hitting a Pendulum Backbreaker on him for a 1...2..kickout. The match ends with Billy countering Awesome and going for the FAME ASSER, but Awesome moves out of the way and then boots Billy and loads him up before slamming him down with the AWESOME BOMB! Mike Awesome makes the cover 1...2...3!
Winner @ 4:31 - Mike Awesome

Awesome gets the win and doesn't waste much time celebrating as he exits the ring and heads out, pleased with his win but obviously wanting to further himself

Cole: Mike Awesome with the win and looking strong Tazz!

Tazz: No doubt no doubt Cole, Billy Gunn did what he could but Awesome was too good tonight.

Backstage now and Josh Matthews is standing by

Matthews: Hello everyone I'm Josh Matthews and I'm here with the WWE Champion, Brock Lesnar!

Huge pop as Lesnar steps into view

Matthews: Brock, in tonight's main event you team up with The Undertaker, the man you will defend the WWE Championship against at Judgment Day, as you take on the team of The Big Show and A-Train. What are your thoughts heading into the match tonight?

Lesnar: Well Josh, I've got no problems tagging with the Undertaker tonight. That is as lo-

Matthews cuts Brock off there

Matthews: None whatsoever, given the history you two have?

Lesnar: If you would let me finish, I was going to say as long as he's gonna stick to the match and not get distracted by this (Brock points to the WWE title on his shoulder) and allow that to cloud his performance, then we'll be fine. Sure, we've had issues in the past, but I beat him twice, and I'm pretty confident I can make it three come Judgment Day.

???: Oh really?

The camera spins around to reveal THE UNDERTAKER! The crowd goes wild for Big Evil as he approaches Lesnar

Undertaker: You're pretty confident are you?

Lesnar: Well, you heard me. Did I stutter?

Lesnar inches closer to Taker who smirks

Undertaker: Oh yeah, I heard you loud and clear. Just know that tonight's not about me and you. Tonight's about The Big Show and A-Train thinking they can step into my yard and escape the consequences. But I've upped the punishment for trespassing and whether you're on the same page as me or not, they're gonna find out first hand how that feels.

Lesnar: Oh believe me, for tonight, I'm on the same page. But after tonight, don't expect any more favours.

Undertaker: Favours?

Lesnar grins and Taker now moves closer to Lesnar, with the two almost nose to nose now as Josh Matthews places the mic in between them

Lesnar: Yeah, favours. Like at Backlash on Sunday. Oh and by the way, you're welcome.

Lesnar can't help but laugh at that as Undertaker cracks a wry smile, more in sarcasm than actual appreciation for Lesnar's humour

Undertaker: Let me make something perfectly clear to you. I didn't need your help, and I damn sure didn't ask for it. Tonight, we're taking care of Show and A-Train and as soon as that's done, don't expect me to save your ass like I did after Wrestlemania. I think that more than makes up for your so called "favour" on Sunday.

The two men stand face to face, as Lesnar cuts the tension with a chuckle and backs away from Taker, neither man blinking from their stare down as we fade to a commercial

-Commercial Break-

We return to an outside shot of the arena as Cole & Tazz welcome us back

Cole: Yes folks, SmackDown! is coming to you from the sold out Gaylord Entertainment Center here in Nashville, Tennessee and Tazz what a night we've had so far, and it just got even more interesting with that confrontation between the Undertaker and Brock Lesnar backstage!

Tazz: You said it Cole, they're partners tonight but already tensions are running high and I don't think it's gonna be long before one of them cracks and we see them slug it out ahead of Judgment Day.

*619*

The crowd erupts with a big pop as the ever popular Rey Mysterio jumps out onto the stage as his pyro's shoot off. Rey slaps hands with the fans at ringside on the way down the aisle and then slides into the ring, mounts the turnbuckle and pumps the fans up

*BASIC THUGANOMICS*

John Cena makes his way out to decent heat, sporting an Indianapolis Colts jersey which gets him much stronger heat as he throws up the double clutch before getting on the mic

Cena: Cut my music!

Cena continues to make his way to the ring

Cena: So what's this I see, John Cena getting shifted?
Going from PPV appearance to beating down a midget
I got a question for you Rey, are you smaller than Hans Molman?
And Steph why you got me wrestling against the Hispanic Gary Coleman?

And what's with the mask, what are you trying to hide?
Or are you just representing the dominatrix pride?
My style is untouchable and my lyrics are sick
You Can't See Me little man, you're only up to my dick!

WORD LIFE

Match 3
Singles Match
Rey Mysterio vs John Cena

A fairly even battle as the speedy Rey and the more rough and rugged Cena battle it out in a solid match. Back and forth action sees Rey score with a Wheelbarrow Bulldog and cover 1...2..kickout. Cena then shifts the momentum hitting the Protoplex on Rey and then dropping the 5 Knuckle Shuffle for a 1...2..shoulder up.

Cena tries to get Rey in position for an FU but Rey counters with a Crucifix Pin 1...2...Cena just kicks out. Both men get up quickly and Rey takes Cena down with a Headscissors, Cena landing on the middle rope in perfect position for the 619...BUT CENA MOVES THEN PULLS REY DOWN WITH A SCHOOL BOY 1...2...CENA'S FEET ARE ALL OVER THE ROPES...3!
Winner @ 7:08 - John Cena
Cena steals the victory and gets out of the ring to celebrate as Rey tells the ref Cena had his feet on the ropes, but he isn't listening to Rey's claims

Cole: John Cena picks up the win here Tazz, albeit thanks to some cheap tactics.

Tazz: Hey Cena did what he had to do Cole, some people don't like it, but if it wins you a match, why not?

Cole: Coz it's cheating! Blatant cheating!

Tazz: Ok Cole relax.

-Commercial Break-

We return from the break to ringside and

*MEDAL*

Hits to big heat as Kurt Angle makes his way out with Team Angle by his side. Angle looks in a PISSED off mood tonight, forgoing his pyro routine on the ramp as he takes a mic from Chimel and gets into the ring

Angle: On Sun-

Kurt's cut off by the obligatory "You Suck" chant as the crowd continues it along as his music fades away

Angle: Nashville, do me a favour and SHUT THE HELL UP!

Mega heat for Angle

Angle: I've got something important to say, if you don't mind. Jeez!

Crowd jeers Angle

Angle: On Sunday, at Backlash, I had the match won. I had it in the bag. I was about go get my rematch against Brock Lesnar at Judgment Day, to get back my WWE Championship!

More heat

Angle: You people can boo all you want, but each and everyone of you, and every God damn person in the entire world saw me make Hulk Hogan tap in the middle of the ring!

Angle grits his teeth

Angle: But of course, there was one exception, and that just happened to be Brock Lesnar!

Pop for Lesnar

Angle: I told him I made Hogan tap, but he used this as a convenient way to escape having to face me in a rematch, because he damn well knows I'll take that WWE Title back off him!

"Angle Sucks" chant begins

Angle: So Brock, wherever the hell you are right now, I want you to see this, roll the footage!

Angle points to the titantron as we're shown the part of the match Angle's talking about

Quote:
Angle is up first and stalks Hogan as Hulkamania recovers his footing, Angle's fingers flicking back and forth as he readies to finish Hogan off. Hulk gets to his feet and Angle boots him in the midsection and loads him up with the ANGLE SLAM...NO! Hogan is able to slip out the side and he shoves Angle right into Brock Lesnar! The collision sees Lesnar tumble out through the ring ropes to the floor and Angle stumbles into a right hand from Hogan. Hulk whips Angle to the ropes and goes for another Big Boot but Angle DUCKS UNDER, TRIPS HOGAN DOWN AND SLAPS ON THE ANKLE LOCK! Angle has it locked on Hogan in the middle of the ring!

Hogan is in tremendous pain and tries reaching for the ropes but he can't make it and HOGAN TAPS! HOGAN TAPS! BUT LESNAR IS STILL ON THE OUTSIDE! Angle is yelling at Lesnar when Undertaker breaks the hold up!
Angle is nodding at this as the video finishes

Angle: There you have it! The evidence, it's all there. I made Hulk Hogan tap, fair and square. It's true, IT'S DAMN TRUE!

Heat

Angle: Now, I expect justice to be served and that means Stephanie McMahon, I want my rightful title shot stripped from The Undertaker and awarded to me!

Massive heat for that

Angle: And until action is taken, I'm not leaving this ring.

*VOODOO CHILD*

The crowd erupts with a pop almost as big as the Austin one to open the show as Hulk Hogan steps out on stage to a standing ovation as Team Angle glare at the legendary Hulkster

Hogan: Kurt Angle, LET ME TELL YA SOMETHIN' BROTHER!

Major pop for that

Hogan: Yo-

Angle: No Hogan, don't tell my anything!

Heat

Angle: I didn't ask for you to bring your sorry ass out here. I asked for Stephanie McMahon, so turn around and get lost.

Hogan: Listen dude, take it from someone who's been around the block once or twice. You're going about this all wrong. You come out here and whine and complain, you insult the fans, you insult Brock Lesnar, you act like you just threw your toys out of the pram. Then you go and show off the replay from the match out here, instead of just going back to Stephanie McMahon and showing her. What are you honestly expecting to happen?

Angle: I'm expecting the right thing to be done. And I still don't think you understand, I told you to get lost.

More heat as a booming "Hogan" chant starts up as Hogan steps into the ring now looking to calm Angle down

Hogan: Look, brother. We've not seen eye to eye lately, and what's done is done. I'm just trying to offer you a bit of advice about how to go about things.

Angle: First off Hogan, I'm not your damn brother. And second of all, I don't want your help. Now, I'm not going to repeat myself again, GET OUT OF HERE! AND STEPHANIE, I WANT JUSTICE SERVED, NOW!

Hogan holds his hands up

Hogan: Alright Kurt. I tried to help you out. You wanna keep on this path, fine...

Hogan drops the mic and begins to head to the ropes

Angle: Well it seems that our esteemed General Manager isn't listening to me, so maybe I'll have to visualize a statement for her to come out here and act on!

With that said, ANGLE HITS HOGAN IN THE BACK OF THE HEAD WITH THE MICROPHONE! Huge heat rings out as Team Angle put the boots to Hogan as Angle mounts the Hulkster and pounds away with right hands to the temple. Angle then tells Shelton & Haas to bring Hogan up which they do BUT HOGAN BREAKS FREE AND ROCKS ANGLE WITH A RIGHT HAND! Hogan the hits Benji with one, then Haas, then Benji again, then Haas again BUT ANGLE SNEAKS UP ON HIM AND DROPS HIM WITH AN ANGLE SLAM! The heat is pouring in as Kurt Angle loosens his strap and then SLAPS ON THE ANKLE LOCK TO HOGAN! Angle has Hulk locked in the lethal hold and Hogan is tapping to no avail when suddenly the crowd comes alive as THE UNDERTAKER AND BROCK LESNAR RUSH TO THE RING! Taker & Lesnar get in and start to fight off Team Angle as the crowd eats it up, but then we see THE BIG SHOW AND A-TRAIN slide into the ring after them! It's an all out brawl as Taker & Lesnar try to fight off the five men but eventually the numbers game catches up on them and things start looking pear shaped as the heels begin to get the upper hand and finally

*ALL GROWN UP*

Hits to a pretty strong face pop and the General Manager Stephanie McMahon steps out on stage, mic in hand and ushers dozens of security to break up the brawl in the ring

Stephanie: That's enough! Guys, enough!

The security separates everyone with plenty of trash talk still going on

Stephanie: This is all getting out of hand. I've got others things to worry about without all of this going on. First off, Kurt Angle, I saw your video footage and yes, you did make Hulk Hogan tap.

Angle nods and says "Yes"

Stephanie: However, Brock Lesnar was the referee and his decision on the match is final!

Big pop as Angle's face displays a mix of shock and anger that Steph hasn't backed his decision

Angle: How can you possibly say this?

Stephanie: Because last time I checked Kurt, I'm making the decisions around here.

Angle can't believe it as Benji & Haas calm him down as he looks over at Brock Lesnar

Stephanie: And after what I've just seen you do, you just booked yourself a match next week on SmackDown! against Hulk Hogan!

Huge pop for that as Angle is furious, and Hogan who's recovering in the corner likes what he hears

Stephanie: Now as for Brock Lesnar, The Undertaker, Big Show, A-Train. I suggest you all save your energy for tonight's main event. We've got a show to get on with guys, so by the time we get back from this commercial, this ring had better be empty so our next match can go ahead.

Steph exits to the back as Team Angle head off after her with Kurt incredulous over her choice to not reverse Lesnar's ruling. As security escort Lesnar, Taker, Show and Train to the back Hogan picks up his mic

Hogan: The question now Kurt Angle, is WHATCHA GONNA DO BROTHER? WHATCHA GONNA DO NEXT WEEK ON SMACKDOWN! WHEN HULKAMANIA RUNS WILD ON YOUUUU!

Mega pop for that as Hogan plays to the fans and his music hits again

Cole: What a crazy part of the show Tazz! Team Angle attacking Hulk Hogan all because Kurt didn't get his own way here.

Tazz: He certainately made a point but I don't know if he really thought it through and now he's gotta face Hogan next week here on SmackDown! and that's gonna be huge Cole, huge!

Cole: Let's not forget we've still got that big tag team match to come as WWE Champion Brock Lesnar teams up with The Undertaker to face The Big Show and A-Train!

-Commercial Break-

We return and are in the presence of Team Angle once again as they're after Stephanie McMahon

Angle: Stephanie!

Steph keeps walking away, clearly not interested in what Angle has to say

Angle: Stephanie, please. Just hear me out.

Steph stops and rolls her eyes, before taking a deep breath and turning around

Stephanie: Look Kurt, I can't make it any clearer than I already have. You're not getting a title shot. I told you after Wrestlemania, that you could have one if you had Brock Lesnar agree to it. Somehow, you managed that. You had your chance at Backlash, and you didn't take it.

Angle: Yes I did, I made Hulk Hogan tap in the center of the ring. You saw the footage with your own eyes. I made him tap!

Stephanie: But the referee, Brock Lesnar, didn't. And he counted the decisive fall, and The Undertaker is the number one contender.

Angle scrunches up his face in disgust

Angle: But I d-

Stephanie: That's final Kurt. You hear me? Final!

Steph walks off with Angle looking near a breakdown. Angle then takes a few deep breaths before turning to Benji & Haas

Angle: Well if I'm not getting my title shot {Angle smirks} then neither is The Undertaker or anyone else. Let's go.

Team Angle walks off as we come back to ringside

Cole: Sounds like Kurt Angle's up to no good, he's obsessed with getting back the WWE Title!

*IWo*

The crowd pops as Chavo Guerrero makes his way to the ring for this upcoming match. Chavo mounts the turnbuckle and plays to the crowd

Match 5
Triple Threat Match
Chavo Guerrero vs Billy Kidman vs Tajiri

An exciting back and forth contest between the three men all getting their time to show what they can do and produce a good showing for the Cruiserweight division. After copping the double team early on, Tajiri takes advantage of the alliance of Chavo and Kidman dis-integrating and almost rolls up Chavo for a 3 but Guerrero is able to kick out in time. The ending sees Tajiri spray the Green Mist in Kidman's face, and with BK blinded Tajiri wipes him out with the BUZZSAW KICK only for Chavo to catch Tajiri by surprise from behind and take him down into a HH Rolling Pin 1...2...3!
Winner @ 6:14 - Chavo Guerrero
Chavo picks up the win and celebrates as Tajiri can't believe he got beaten as he looked like having the match won

Cole: Chavo gets the win, staying true to he and Eddie's motto Tazz.

Tazz: No doubt Cole, anybody could've won that, but Chavo's been around the longest and always has an extra couple of tricks in the bag!

Cole: And Chavo has surely put himself into the frame for a Cruiserweight title shot with this victory, seeing as Rey Mysterio's loss the other week means he can no longer challenge for the belt whilst Matt Hardy holds it. Will Chavo be Matt's next challenger?

*HERE COMES THE PAIN*

The WWE Champion makes his way out on stage, and stops, bobbing up and down before breaking free from it and heading towards the ring. Main Event

Taker takes Show off his feet with a Flying Lariat then HARD TAGS in Lesnar, with the two clearly still showing some tension as Taker wrenches the arm of Show and exposes the ribs for Lesnar to attack, which the WWE Champion does. Lesnar tries to Belly to Belly Suplex Show who blocks it and puts Lesnar down with the Hog Drop! Show tags in A-Train who rocks Lesnar with some right hands as the crowd starts a "Shave Your Back" chant. A-Train shoots Lesnar to the ropes and goes for a clothesline, but Lesnar ducks and then takes A-Train down with a Side Back Suplex. Brock goes over to Undertaker and SLAPS TAKER ON THE SHOULDER, which constitutes a tag as Taker steps back into the ring and he and Lesnar share a stare down for a moment before they are interrupted by A-Train who wipes out Taker with a Bicycle Kick! Cover 1...2...Taker kicks out.

From here Taker gets isolated by Train and Show as they focus on the ribs of Big Evil, A-Train hitting the impressive TRAIN WRECK and covering 1...2...LESNAR BREAKS IT UP! A-Train tags in Big Show who drops an elbow to Taker and after wearing him out for a bit longer, applies an Abdominal Stretch in the middle of the ring. Taker looks to be fading away but as always the face gets a second wind and he throws left's at Big Show until Show loses his grip, then Taker rocks him with a soup bone but Show counters with a big head butt. Show whips Taker to the ropes but lowers his head too early and Taker drops him with the Running DDT! Show tags out to A-Train and Undertaker makes the HOT TAG TO LESNAR!

Lesnar comes in like a bull in a china shop and flattens A-Train with a clothesline, then brings him up and shoots him to the ropes and catches him, locks him up and delivers a perfect Overhead Belly to Belly Suplex! The Big Show comes at Lesnar but Brock meets him with a boot to the gut then rocks him with a right hand. Lesnar hits Show with another right then tries to shoot him to the ropes, but Show counters it and pulls Lesnar in to a goozle...SHOWSTOPPER...BUT LESNAR SLIPS OUT THE SIDE AND MANAGES TO GET SHOW UP ONTO HIS SHOULDERS! The crowd erupts for the incredible show of strength by Lesnar as he looks to go for the F5...BUT HE'S HIT IN THE BACK WITH A STEEL CHAIR...FROM KURT ANGLE! Charles Robinson has no choice but to call for the bell
Winners via DQ @ 10:29 - Brock Lesnar & The Undertaker

Kurt Angle, Shelton Benjamin & Charlie Haas have stormed the ring and Lesnar drops the mammoth Show off his shoulders as he staggers after the chair shot and ANGLE BLASTS HIM ACROSS THE HEAD WITH THE CHAIR! Lesnar goes down after that huge shot, but The Undertaker comes to the rescue as he BOOTS THE CHAIR BACK INTO ANGLE'S FACE! Taker then drops Benji with a soup bone, and then Haas too but is grabbed from behind...BY A-TRAIN WHO LOADS HIM UP AND PLANTS HIM WITH THE DERAILER! The crowd's booing as the heels begin to pick apart the faces but they suddenly come alive as HULK HOGAN makes a beeline down to the ring with a chair in hand, looking to return the favour to Taker & Brock from earlier. A-Train and Team Angle see Hulk coming however and exit the ring as Hogan turns around and GETS CREAMED BY A CHAIR SHOT FROM KURT ANGLE! Massive heat as Angle nails Hogan for the second time tonight with a weapon, and Kurt drops the chair as he stands above Lesnar, Taker and Hogan, with Hulk and Lesnar both busted open from the chair shots. Angle begins to smile, happy with the damage he and his buddies have done

Cole: My God! Kurt Angle and Team Angle have just destroyed everyone in their path! Hulk Hogan is down! The number one contender The Undertaker is down. The WWE Champion Brock Lesnar is down!

Tazz: Well we heard Kurt say earlier that if he doesn't get a title shot, then no one will, and he's doing good on that promise Cole!

Cole: Will there be hell to pay next week for Team Angle, or will Kurt Angle continue to rock the boat? We've gotta go everyone, good night!

Fade to black with Angle raising his arms into the air and yelling out "YEAH" as he surveys the carnage

Well, that's my first full show in 2 years I'm pretty sure. Obviously it's gonna take time to shake off the rust, but overall I'm pleased with it and I hope you all are too. The main thing that pleases me is the depth I'm able to reach in my promo's these days and this was always my main weakness. Anyways, enjoy (or not). ALL FEEDBACK WILL BE RETURNED, when I have the time to do so. Obviously, don't go writing an essay with it being two shows together, just a paragraph will be fine for feedback on RAW seeing as it's the recapped show. <3.

Raw Feedback

First off, read your Backlash and I must say it wasn't too bad for being as rusty as you claim to be. Good summary at the beginning to keep people who may not have read it, informed. Figured Evolution would kick off the show after the end result of the PPV. Liking Booker T as the Champ, really think at this time he was more than serviceable to be one and I think you can do good things with him as the top guy on Raw. LOVE that the Raw Roulette is being included, always tons of fun and it should be interesting to see what kind of ideas you have for the usage of that. Looks like a solid card for tonight, and I expect an interesting finish in the main event considering the stipulation. RVD-Christian is a solid match to kick off the match portion of the show, and Christian retaining, of course is the way to go and looked like a good first defense. Keep him up there plz. Looks like the tag team feud isn't ending anytime soon, which is nice imo. Goldberg-Henry should be some kind of titanic battle so I'll be interested in seeing how that turns out. lol @ Maven shocking Flair AGAIN. Somehow I feel like this is going to lead to Maven getting destroyed down the line. Just a hunch. @ The Rock, nothing really else to say. Good job putting Orton & Batista over, really feel like they can do great things as a tandem. Nice interaction between Booker and Goldberg, the former WCW vetz. Will be interesting to see if they have anything between them down the line ITT. Keeping up the MIchaels-Jericho feud with Nash being involved as the third wheel is a pretty good move imo. Really wished the 'E kept that feud going, and I think this feud should turn interesting as the months go on. No surprise having Goldberg go over Mark Henry, and indeed it was a pretty good fight to get to that. Won't be surprised if Goldberg turns to bigger and better things sooner rather than later. Looks as if we'll see Trish & Victoria fighting for the title, which is a cliched but right way to go imo. Interesting catch there with both RVD & Kane getting IC title shots, wonder where that's headed. Damn good main event with both looking strong coming off their match last night ending in a NC. I like the move and you've got me intrigued as to what will happen next week.

SmackDown! Feedback

Great way to start off the show with Austin. Feel like he's going to be pretty significant on SmackDown, not sure why, but I do. Anywho, LOL @ Khanyon. Not sure what he's going to be doing in this thread but nice touch throwing him in here unexpectedly in this promo. Austin doing the usual shtick of kicking the crap out of him and dropping him with the Stunner was classic stuff. Good start to the show, just some spelling mistakes in there that I saw.

Not a better way to crown a United States Champion then with two of the members of the ever famed SmackDown 6. Really liked this one and the near falls towards the end of it really amped up the excitement in the match. Terrific finish and a good decision to put the belt on Benoit. Hopefully this isn't the first time these two go at it for that belt because some real good matches can come from these two together. But you already knew that. /ADR

Khanyon vs Austin next week? That should be a doozy. And hmmm...Vince + Steph interaction can only mean trouble.

Not really much to say with this one as it was a pretty short contest to get Awesome over. I'm assuming he's a face here? Judging by the way you wrote this segment I'm going to go with that. If he's not, a clear up would be awesome. Intrigued to see what Awesome's role will be on SmackDown as he rises up through the ranks.

Always loved the Brock-Taker feuds that occurred from 2002-2003, so I can't say I won't like what I see here if done well (which I'm sure you, Reney, will do fine with). Really think the tension between these two will be something to watch over the next few weeks leading up to Backlash, and it wouldn't really surprise me if it started later on tonight in the main event. Gets a from me.

lulz @ Cena's rap, always entertained by 'The Doctor of Thuganomics' and here's hoping you keep his raps up to be entertaining as they always seem to be. End result is fine with me as this was when Cena was beginning to get noticed and start his eventual climb to the top and win by any means necessary. Booked well, so no wrongs from me. Interested in seeing if this is going to be the only time these two face each other, or if this is going to spell a feud between the two. Either or would catch me interest.

Angle starting off the promo with the "I GOT SCREWED" shtick was not surprising giving what occurred at Backlash. Captured it well and here comes The Hulkster. Good job keeping him in character, nailing him imo. An Angle/Hogan feud would be pretty damn good to see while it did happen the year previous, but I wouldn't be opposed to it considering how well Angle could go back in '03. And it looks like you're shaping up an epic edition of SmackDown next week. Looking forward to it already.

Typical chaos to begin the multi-team match. Did a good job of maintaining a level of non-clusterfuckness with it being easy to read and easy to understand what is going on which is always important. Going in I thought the APA were really the only right option to be booked as the contenders, and it proved to be a good intuition to follow up on. Assuming Team Angle are the Tag Team Champions in this thread, which should provide for a pretty fair match/feud between the two leading up to JD or whenever the title shot will be cashed in. Also looking forward to seeing if you bring in the JBL character.

Angle's persistence seems clear... and it should only drive him further. Interested to see his direction.

Don't sell the CW division short plz. Always thought they were a great thing and hopefully you make them an integral part of the show, as they were on SD! virtually through their prime existence. Chavo getting the victory here doesn't bother me. Thought the way he pulled it off was classic Guerrero style, and perhaps he emerges out of the sea of CW's to be next in line for the title? Wouldn't mind it.

Nothing much really to say here except Rhyno squashing a jobber. Wondering what he'll be doing now as it seems like him and Benoit have drifted apart, or have they?

Main event time now and this one looked to be a good one. Typical styled tag team main event with numerous tags and a wild finish. Angle damn near killing everyone at the end laying the big chair shot on Hogan was AWESOME. Perhaps it's the Angle mark in me but I loved it and always enjoy seeing Angle owning everyone. Angle continuing to cloud the title scene toward Judgment Day has me hooked.

Good stuff for being rusty, Renegade. Looking forward to the next batch of shows, whenever they may come.

"I wrestled that match with Undertaker at WrestleMania with the biggest f*cking chip on my shoulder because I knew it was going to be better than Brock Lesnar vs. Triple H and The Rock vs. John Cena."
