Default Re: Renegade Presents: WWE 2003 - Now Go Home And Get Your Fucking Shinebox

Fast and furious opening, continuing the on-goings of last week, with Angle as the catalyst. Steph owning Angle = Ratings. Six Man Tag Team Match is a solid main event to continue this angle with. Glad to see the search for Heyman is continuing … Jesus Christ, I feel like a moron commenting on shit I had a hand in. Fuck this, time to skip to shit I sucked at.

Ugh, Crash Holly. No offense (R.I.P.), but I always though crowding the Hardy/Moore tandem up with a third was a bad move on the WWE’s part and it just never clicked. Maybe you’ll do better.

Boy, Taker’s really whoring out that ‘yard’ phrase tonight. He was also a little too buddy-buddy with Brock here considering what they went through a few months back…but it just to get them on camera to hype the main event methinks.

Billy Gunn is crap. Show OWNS, so the big man going over is clearly the right move. Pearl Harbor Crash is a horrible name, btw, regardless of reasoning. “Chokeslam” plz.

And hey, you worthless **** muscle, I announced an eight man tag showing the mystery man in the U.S. Title tourney for this show. The fuck happened? HEY! The charisma less pricks owning Eddie? I think not, though it adds hype for their tag feud, and the title tourney.

I thought the segment between Vince and Stephanie was pretty awesome. I can honestly say I enjoy the slow approach that you’re taking with this is much better than the way I planned on doing it. Good job, giving us a hook for Backlash, and another big announcement?

TEAM CHARISMA~ over the FBI? Can’t complain.

Could’ve found somebody else for Cena to get rather the same guy, but that’s alright, a win’s a win. The Doctor for the U.S. Title imo. Or Eddie plz.

Battle Royal next week? Eh. I hope Mysterio doesn’t win, so we can move on from that feud…but there isn’t another cruiser ready to fill that role yet in my estimation.

Nathan gets squashed. Fine with it.

Main Event time. Right off the bat, The Undertaker defending anybody, let alone Hogan, is a pretty disgusting miscarriage of justice. Not sure what was the logic in that outside of giving Angle a chance. Meh, better ways to do it. Angle picking up the win and effectively getting one up on Lesnar for the second week in a row should put him in the driver’s seat for a WWE Title Match at the moment, though I suspect we’ll get a fatal four way.

Respectable first show back, Reney, especially considering these weren’t your angles heading in. Raw plz. <3

^ I'm not gonna lie, it was a very meh show at best. Thank you anyways Mac daddy, about time too.

I've jobbed hard with the RAW recap. Totally hating myself for how lazy I've been, DEFINITELY expect to see it up Wednesday at the very latest.

PROMISES!~

Double posts ftw...

WWE RAW
04/14/03
The Rose Garden
Portland; Oregon

*Opening Video*

*PYRO*

The crowd comes alive with a thunderous mixed reaction as none other than THE ROCK hits the ring to open this blockbuster show. Rock says he's not surprised by the reception he's been given, claiming the amount of coffee consumed by the Portland natives has damaged their brains and affected their ability to point out when a superstar is in town. Heat. Rock disagrees with their sentiment and asks them who in Portland has more talent? Rock mentions the Trail Blazers to a mixed reaction, before laughing and saying The Rock can excrete in the People's Bathroom and end up with something with more collective talent! HUGE heat but there are some pops to from the fans as Rock grins. Rock then begins to get down to "business". Rock says lately there's been a certain loudmouth who's talked alot of crap about The Rock. Rock goes to continue but is cut off by a booming "STEINER" chant from the capacity crowd. The Brahma Bull is not impressed by this and tells the morons in the audience to know their role and shut their mouths. Ouch. Crowd shits on Rock for that. "Rocky Sucks" chants begin. Rock has had enough and finally tells Scott Steiner to bring his monkey ass to the ring. *HOLLA...IF YA HEAR ME* hits soon after and the crowd goes wild as Scott Steiner makes his way to the ring. Steiner gets in the ring and gets right in Rock's face as both begin to talk some trash. Rock runs his mouth on Steiner, telling Big Poppa Pump just exactly how he feels about him before Steiner SNATCHES THE MIC OUT OF ROCK'S HAND! Rock's eyes widen in a mix of fury and shock and Steiner tells Rock to stop being a Brahma Bitch and face him in a match! Rock takes another mic and asks Steiner if he just interrupted him? Steiner is suckered in to a response and Rock cuts him off with "IT DOESN'T MATTER WHAT YOUR MONKEY ASS JUST SAID". Rock says Steiner wants him, then he can Just...Bring...It...AND SLAPS STEINER ACROSS THE FACE HARD! Crowd "Ooo's" loudly as Steiner holds his cheek momentarily looking at the mat, before turning to The Rock glaring with anger and goes for The Rock...BUT ROCK HOPS OUT OF THE RING JUST LIKE LAST WEEK! Rock again points to his temple, saying "He's smarter" while Steiner has a big O RLY look across his face and then Steiner JUMPS OUT OF THE RING GOING FOR THE ROCK! The crowd erupts as Rock darts up the ramp with Steiner in pursuit and the camera's trying to keep up with the duo. Rock runs down the hallway backstage and into a set of double doors with Steiner not far behind him. Steiner opens the doors and charges in...ONLY TO BE MET BY THE BISCHOFF ADMINISTRATION! Rock along with Chief Morley, Lance Storm, William Regal, Johnny Nitro and 3 Minute Warning jump Steiner and beat the hell out of him. Rock stands back and watches the rest pick the Big Booty Daddy apart until he says that's enough. Steiner is bloodied and battered and Rock stands over him and whispers down at him "You and The Great One...one on one...at Backlash...If ya smellllll...what The Rock...is cookin'"

-Commercial Break-

First match of the night sees the 8 Man Tag match between RVD/Kane & The Dudley Boyz taking on Lance Storm/William Regal & 3 Minute Warning. The match is a wild one with the ref constantly losing control of proceedings and towards the end there is no way to stop the trademark mass brawl sparking out between all 8 men. As The Dudleyz end up on the outside with 3MW, Kane is left in the ring with Regal setting him up for the CHOKESLAM when he is LOW BLOWED from behind by CHIEF MORLEY! The ref doesn't see this as he is being distracted by Rico. Kane drops Regal and Regal's partner Lance Storm nails him with a Superkick! Kane staggers backwards and Regal sneaks out his Brass Knux and SUCKER PUNCHES KANE IN THE GUT! Regal manages to roll up the Big Red Machine and steal the 1...2...3 to earn himself and Lance Storm another title shot with RVD & Kane. The heels celebrate the victory while The Dudleyz and RVD stand in the ring frustrated with the numbers game out doing them and Kane particularly annoyed

Backstage now and The Rock is looking on a high after master minding a number on his Backlash opponent Scott Steiner earlier. Rock takes a sip from his water bottle and struts down the hall like he's got no care in the world when he is approached by Todd Grisham. Rock doesn't even allow Grisham to say a word, telling him that he's feeling so good, he's gonna sing a song to the People of Portland. Rock ducks out of view for a moment and amazingly pops back in view with his guitar in hand to heat from the fans who really don't want to hear a Rock song. Rock clears his throat and gets ready when HIS GUITAR IS SWIPED FROM HIM...BY SCOTT STEINER...WHO CRACKS IT OVER THE HEAD OF THE ROCK! The crowd goes wild as Big Poppa Pump, bandage across his forehead, stands over the Brahma Bull who is out cold when the GM and security flood around him and with the orders of Eric Bischoff "escort him from the damn arena"

-Commercial Break-

Back live now and young Maven is readying himself for his huge match with The Nature Boy later tonight when in walks none other than Ric Flair alongside Batista & Randy Orton to a bunch of "Woo's" from the fans followed by heat. The Evolution trio tries to get in the head of Maven and Flair leads the mind games, telling Maven he'll need to wrestle the match of his life and putting his ability in doubt. Maven doesn't care much for the mind games from Evolution which sees Batista move close to the youngster and tell him to pay attention and respect his superiors. Maven rolls his eyes and answers with a sarcastic "Yeah" before attempting to get away from Evolution, but his path is blocked by Randy Orton. Off screen we hear a voice ask "We got a problem here, huh?" and into view walks GOLDBERG to a massive reaction. Maven smiles as Goldberg glares at Orton and says "Move, now". Orton steps aside and Maven walks off and Goldberg smirks at Orton before going to follow Maven, when BATISTA MOVES IN FRONT OF GOLDBERG. The two big men stand face to face before Goldberg begins to grin again and Orton & Flair pull their "Animal" back and Goldberg walks off while Batista glares at him.

In the ring now Trish Stratus takes on Molly Holly. Molly puts a good effort into it and with Steven Richards by her side and Victoria standing on the ramp also distracting Trish from the match almost steals it a few times. Eventually tho the Women's Champ gains control and after scoring with the Stratusphere (RATINGS!~
) she puts Molly away with the STRATUSFACTION and picks up the victory

After the match Trish raises her title up at Victoria and celebrates the win with the crowd

-Commercial Break-

Back live and Eric Bischoff hits the ring. Bischoff hypes his announcement which prompts the crowd to start chanting "Boring" wanting him to just get it out there. Bischoff takes this to heart and decides to continue to aggravate the crowd by saying this announcement eclipses Stephanie McMahon's one concerning the US Title return because at Backlash, Eric Bischoff is bringing back the INTERCONTINENTAL CHAMPIONSHIP to RAW! Crowd marks. Bischoff grins and then says that the title won't be decided in a tournament, but in a 20 Man Over The Top Rope Battle Royal! Bischoff states that anyone not in a match for Backlash will be competing and says that includes superstars like Shawn Michaels, Kevin Nash, Randy Orton, Chris Jericho, Ric Flair, Christian, Maven, Rob Van Dam & Kane, Lance Storm & William Regal amongst others. Bischoff says he's all about making the ratings just that much better than those on SmackDown! and he's once again proved why he's the top ratings grabber in the business and not Steph. Bischoff then says no matter what Vince McMahon has to say at Backlash, not even that will be able to top Bischoff's "genious". Heat for that. Eric leaves the ring with a smirk wide across his face as JR & King hype the return of the IC Title at Backlash, along with the Steiner/Rock match and the Women's Title match between Trish & Victoria

-Commercial Break-

Chris Jericho cuts a promo now with Todd Grisham interviewing him, saying that at Wrestlemania, Shawn Michaels scored the biggest fluke in sports entertainment history when he rolled up Y2J for the 3 count. Jericho says that at Backlash, the Heart Break Kid won't be able to stop the Ayatollah of Rock and Rollah from claiming the IC Title and going on to become the GREATEST ever IC Champion in the company's history. Jericho then runs down HBK's friend Kevin Nash, saying that when it comes down to it, Shawn is only out for himself and that Nash should be checking over his shoulder in that battle royal. Jericho then says that when he becomes the IC Champion, his next goal will be to finish off Shawn Michaels once and for all! Major heat for Y2J as he walks off

In the ring Maven goes one on one with Ric Flair. Maven is all over Naitch for the most of the match, using his speed and youth advantage over Flair to great effect, with a fair share of Maven fans in the building, the youngster's popularity seems to be rising by the week. Eventually Father Time uses all his tricks from the dirtiest book in the game to gain the upper hand and wear down Maven's left leg, rendering his aerial moves useless. Flair slaps the FIGURE FOUR on Maven, however Naitch doesn't count on Maven TURNING THE FIGURE FOUR ON HIM! The crowd marks for this and Flair grabs the ropes to get the separation. As Flair struggles to his feet Maven gingerly regains his footing and unloads on Flair with right hand after right hand, rocking the veteran in the corner. Flair stops Maven's momentum by kicking his left knee but then Old Yella stumbles out of the corner and FLOPS FACE DOWN TO THE MAT! Trademark Flair. As the match goes on, Maven goes for the M-PLOSION but Flair grabs onto the ropes, stopping his fall and Maven drops to the mat with no end product. Flair quickly turns and gets ready to lock the FIGURE FOUR on Maven for the second time in the match and let's out a "WOO" when MAVEN REACHES UP, GRABS FLAIR AND ROLLS HIM UP WITH A SMALL PACKAGE 1...2...3! MAVEN BEATS RIC FLAIR! The crowd erupts for what is considered a shock result as Maven has his hand raised and Ric Flair is totally dumbstruck, on his knees in the ring with his jaw dropping to the floor

Backstage now Kevin Nash is watching Maven's victory over Flair with some visible delight as SHAWN MICHAELS walks in to a huge pop. Shawn tells Nash that no matter what Chris Jericho says, he's got Nash's back. Nash says he knows and isn't letting Jericho's mind games play on him. Nash pats HBK on the shoulder and walks out as The Coach walks in and asks Michaels what he thinks about Jericho's comments earlier. Michaels says he showed Jericho he's still the Showstopper at Mania and he'll gladly do it again at Backlash to win the IC Title and then after that, if Jericho wants another go at Michaels one on one, he'll be ready to put Jericho in his place with a Sweet Chin Music

-Commercial Break-

In a match that combines two of the midcard feuds as of late, Test & Jeff Hardy take on Christian & D'Lo Brown in a shortish match. The match is mainly about the Test/Christian feud with Christian constantly showing off to Stacy Kiebler during the match. Stacy gets on the apron and distracts Christian giving Test an opening and the big man takes it, going for the BIG BOOT...BUT CHRISTIAN AVOIDS IT AND TEST NAILS STACY KIEBLER RIGHT IN THE FACE! The crowd is in shock as D'Lo Brown is taken out by a Jeff Hardy Plancha to the outside, while Test is frozen staring down at his downed girl and Christian takes full advantage, hitting the UNPRETTIER on Test for the win

Backstage now and The Rock is being attended to after being assaulted earlier by Scott Steiner. Rock has a bump on his forehead from the guitar shot and is telling the make up people to hide the "People's Ugly Spot". As this happens THE HURRICANE comes into the picture and The Rock puts his head in his hands. Hurricane says The Rock has no integrity after getting the Bischoff Administration to try and take out Scott Steiner. Hurricane then says not even that could stop Steiner, so what chance does The Rock have of stopping him at Backlash? Rock pops up from his chair to defend himself from The Hurricane. Rock says Steiner won't be able to hang with the Most Electrifying Man in Sports Entertainment come Backlash, and that Hurricane should be more concerened with stealing hamburgers or trying to get the attention of that female bird character. As Rock says this, Trish Stratus walks by and Rock says this is how you "put the moves on a bird" and shoves Hurricane out of the way. Rock walks up to Trish cocky and confident as ever. Trish sees the bump on Rock's forehead and laughs, asking Rock if that's compensating for something to a HUGE pop. Rock's eyes burst wide open as he assures Trish he's got the big one, with his "EASY THERE BIG FELLA" tagline as he places his hand on his thigh. Trish just smirks and flexes her pinky finger at Rock and walks off leaving The Great One gaping in shock he's been rejected again by Trish. Rock yells "SOMEONE FIX THE PEOPLE'S UGLY SPOT BEFORE ROCK LAYS THE SMACKETH DOWN ON ALL YOUR MONKEY ASSES!" and sits down, taking a deep breath

-Commercial Break-

Test is attending to Stacy Kiebler now. Stacy seems angry with Test and she asks him if she can get some space because her head hurts and she just wants to be alone. Test seems a little dejected and walks off unhappy while Stacy seems to be wondering if Test did what he did on purpose or not. (Surely not, rit?)

In the main event, Goldberg takes on Randy Orton in a hard hitting affair with Da Man again showing his dominance until Triple H & Batista get involved in things and allow Orton to take over after distracting the ref and allowing Orton to hit a low blow. Orton hits Goldberg with all he's got but can't seem to put him away. Orton sets Goldberg up for the RKO but Goldberg powers Orton away from it and then runs through him with a Clothesline. Goldberg then scores with a Sidekick to the chest of Orton who bounces to the ropes and Goldberg meets him with a Military Press to Powerslam! Cover 1...2..kickout. Goldberg begins to roll here scoring with a Belly To Belly Suplex and then sets Randy up for the SPEAR...TRIPLE H PULLS ORTON OUT OF THE WAY AND GOLDBERG EATS THE TURNBUCKLE! Orton rolls up Goldberg immediately 1...2...Goldberg powers out of it! Orton tries to stay on top with a flurry of right hands but Goldberg fights back with his own. Orton takes a page from Flair's book and rakes the eyes of Goldberg before whipping him to the corner. However Goldberg COMES STRAIGHT OUT AND NAILS THE SPEAR ON ORTON! The crowd marks like fucking nuts as Goldberg points to the air, signalling it's JACKHAMMER time! Goldberg powers Orton into the air...BUT IS CREAMED BY A STEEL CHAIR SHOT...FROM BATISTA! The Animal hits Goldberg right between the eyes and then as Goldberg hits the mat the ref calls for the bell, awarding him the victory

Batista isn't done there however, as seemingly driven on from the confrontation between himself and Goldberg earlier tonight, he HITS GOLDBERG WITH THE CHAIR AGAIN! AND AGAIN! Batista continues to work over Goldberg to huge heat as Triple H, Flair & Orton join in and beat down on Goldberg to huge heat. Triple H then grabs a mic and tells Goldberg he's just met his match because at Backlash he'll be facing Batista in a match and Batista is gonna end Goldberg's little run here on RAW. The crowd suddenly begins to mark like crazy for some reason and we see why as over the barricade behind the ring jumps BOOKER T WITH A SLEDGEHAMMER OF HIS OWN! Booker rolls into the ring and as The Game turns around, BOOKER LEVELS HIM IN THE RIBS WITH THE HAMMER! He then swings it wildly, causing the other members of Evolution to flee from the ring and drag their leader with them as Booker picks up the mic and tells Hunter that at Backlash he's got one last chance at the World Heavyweight Title with Triple H in a STEEL CAGE MATCH! NOW CAN YOU DIG THAT, SUCKAAAAA? and the crowd goes wild as Booker helps Goldberg back his feet and Goldberg mouths to Batista "You're next you son of a bitch!" and JR & King hype up Bookers return here and two more huge matches added to the Backlash card from the RAW side of things!

Fade to black

There we go. About fucking time I must say, almost a week late. I jobbed bad, and it's by no means great either but I think it's picking up a bit of steam atm. Just easing back into writing again full time, it's getting easier but once again, struggled for a bit. Enjoy...

LET'S GET THIS PART-AY STARTED!~

Well I've toyed with the idea of returning for a bit now and with work less hectic than it has been the last few months, I've decided to come back to BTB and this thread, which I really want to push on with.

I still have most of the stuff from earlier this year I planned so I just felt this thread needed to be worked on.

Sadly I don't have it in me to write FULL shows for both RAW and SD! all the time so I will be recapping shows with the more important segments perhaps done in full if time allows such. Hopefully I won't be too rusty but whatevs.

I am hoping to have the next SmackDown! posted by mid next week at this rate, so look for it.

Show me lovin' plz <3.

Welcome back jobber....

Eh doesn't bother me that you're going to recap because I've been relying on that a lot in the past year or so too so doesn't really bother me at all. Either way welcome back...

"Welcome back" chants fill the arena

Suddenly the fans realise it's not everyones favourite Aussie, and the chant changes slightly...

"Nevermind, you'll do".

I hear you might have some talent, so I'll be keeping an eye out for you.

Yeah well. What can I say. Your begging enticed me.

As said, SD! recap should be going up mid next week. Gonna be interesting trying to keep turning some of Mac's angles around seeing as I don't want to just leech of his uber talent
