Default Re: WWE - Project Infinite

Looking forward to the review Phenom. Sc, I'll just got over a couple of things that you brought up.

Quote:
- I’m surprised you had Beth cut a promo, all be it a short one. Would of made more sense for Candice to talk about how she isn’t afraid and is still confident she can be women’s champion. The match itself, well there isn’t much to say really apart from, Beth won it!
I chose Beth over Candice because I felt that a 'victory speech' would be better to have than something with Candice, possibly an interview. After having an interview in my last backstage segment, I thought that a solo champion promo from Phoenix would be the best option.

Quote:
I reckon you have to nip this Orton/Cena feud in the bud now and go in a new direction, as it’s old. Cena is strong, but you got to get Orton on a winning streak, with big wins if he is ever going to be able to challenge for the title again.
I'm going to throw it out now: Cena/Orton is done after Raw. You'll see what happens on the next show, and you'll understand a bit better.

Thanks for the review dude, reppage coming your way. More are appreciated

EDiT: Must spread ~_~

Opening: Very awesome. Kept the show up to date.

Opening Promo: All in character and well written. Growing old of the same old Cena/Orton stuff though.

Opening Match: Decent match to start RAW. I like the outcome.

Santino: Well written! I could picture Santino saying it all in my head!

Michaels vs. Cade: "Decent, not much else to say." You say it all.

Message: Assuming Y2J though I seen BTBs go else where.

Kennedy:....KENNEDY! I love this guy. He is a great superstar and before the match made him be that superstar we all hate. Though why have Kennedy pinned?

Beth Promo: Decent...then again don't like women wrestling.

Santino vs. Austin Promo: Best promo ever! Both written in character and both come off great. Awesome job!

Cena vs. Orton: Please God, let it be over!

Overall: Great show. Hoping that you do something new with Orton and Cena. Love the Austin promo with Santino though! 8/10

Thanks for the reviews thus far, I shall be returning them as soon as I can.

As of a few days ago, the BTB Cup has began, and with that, I'd like to put this thread on a hiatus throughout it. This will give me more of an opportunity to focus on the cup whilst I'll be able to plan and write ahead even more than I had thought a week back.

Reviews are still welcomed for Raw, and shall be returned accordingly, but ECW won't be posted for quite some while. Just a heads up.

- Opening Commentary was very effective. Reminded everyone of what happened at Cyber Sunday while hyping up tonight's show. Both commentators were in character too.

- Orton vs. Cena again! Why ? Not liking that but the promo itself was good. Both in character.

- Good first match. It was a nice way to ease the viewer (or reader) in. Happy that WGTT got the win too.

- Marella was superb, so funny and you captured him perfectly. Santino is an absolute legend. I'm very glad you are using him, because so many WWE bookers on here neglect him.

- Michaels-Cade was a solid match. No big suprises here. Pretty straight forward.

- The messages are ey interesting, wondering who is sending them. Could be very, very big.

- I was suprised that Kennedy did not win after cutting a promo and with him being Champ. Good match though. Hopefully, this might be a start of a push for one of the two winners, both of them would be even better.

- The women's match was pretty good, not suprised by the winner. Nice promo too.

- Another brilliant Santino promo, Suprised we did not see a stunner in there though. A match betwen these two would be very, very nice. Hope it happens.

- I have already mentioned that I was not happy about Cena-Orton V, it all seemed pointless. But i thought maybe you would mix it all up by giving Orton the win. And then Cena wins again. Massively dissapointed. The match was good but your choice of winner was horrible. Please end the Orton-Cena feud now.

- Overall, the show was quite good although I don't agree with all your choices (CENA!!!). I can overlook that though because your promos ae good (SANTINO!!!). For the whole show, I'll give you a 6.5/10.

Review!

Commenter’s:
In Character and liked them going threw the main results of Cyber Sunday

Cena and Orton Segment: I liked this segment, Cena in character and also having the crowd be mixed made it more realistic, Orton also in character and didn’t really expect a mixed reaction for Orton. Think Cena will retain so he can move on to a new feud.

London and Kendrick Vs WGTT: Good match here, I am a favorite of both teams but cool 2 see WGTT get the win, hope they get a good push.

Maria and Santino: Both in character, I liked the “Maria Day Dreaming”, I really enjoy Santino on the mike, nice segment! Wonder what he got planned for the rattlesnake

HBK Vs Cade: Decent match here, cool to see HBK win. wonder what will happen with DX

Wonder who the cryptic messages are coming from, Interesting.

Tag team Match: Another good match and nicely written in summary form, I thought Kennedy was going to get the win to keep his momentum but cool to see Jeff get the win, maybe a title shot in the near future for him.

Beth Vs Candice: Promo was decent from Beth, I haven’t seen much promo’s from her but she seemed In Character, Basically a squash for the champ, be interested on how long her reign will be.

Santino and Austin: I love this segment, Austin was funny with all the “What?” and Santino is just a crack up. Looking forward to there match next week.

Main Event: I liked the Orton Vs Cena matches they had so this would be another good match, liked the ending, and was realistic.

Overall
: I Liked the show, Santino and Austin segment was my Favourite, be interested on what happens with Cena and Orton now, got some good storylines going, 8/10!

Thanks to the both of you for the reviews.

I've thought about it, and might go ahead and post the ECW Preview and show as it really isn't much. If I decide to, expect the preview sometime tommorrow or Thursday with the show coming on Monday afternoon my time.

ECW on Sci-Fi
Preview
October 30, 2007

On a very special ECW on Sci-Fi, the Land of Extreme airs not only a Cyber Sunday fallout also a Halloween celebration of sorts. In what looks to be a very special night indeed, what can we expect as the road of Survivor Series begins for our extremists and vixens?

At Cyber Sunday the ECW Championship was on the line in an Extreme Three Way Dance with CM Punk retaining the title against John Morrison and The Miz. Miz was the first to be eliminated with Punk hitting the GTS only for the Guru of Greatness to the steal the pinfall. Punk would go on to retain after nailing a GTS on Morrison but with a couple days to recovery, it is expect all three will be buzzing from the match. On a Halloween ECW Morrison will take on Miz one-on-one with the chance to gain an ‘edge’ over the other to front the line for an ECW title shot whilst Punk will take on long time nemesis Elijah Burke in what is expected to be a great match. With two hot matches on the cards, we’re in for one heck of a night, but who will come out on top?

ECW also featured in the Women’s Championship Battle Royal with Brooke and Layla being eliminated early and Kelly Kelly making the final five before being eliminated. Tonight Layla has challenged Kelly Kelly to a match on Sci-Fi. Who will win the tussle of the former friends?

As reported today on WWE.com, the General Manager of ECW Armando Alejandro Estrada has an announcement concerning the wellbeing of the Land of Extreme. What will the GM say? Tune into ECW on Sci-Fi to find out

Extreme Confirmations
CM Punk vs. Elijah Burke
The Miz vs. John Morrison
Kelly Kelly vs. Layla
An Announcement from Armando Estrada

ECW up on Monday.

ECW on Sci-Fi
October 30

Airing begins as we open to a video package showing ECW’s fortunes at Cyber Sunday. The usual opening video package is then played as the cameras roll into the arena for this special Halloween edition of ECW on Sci-Fi. Joey Styles and Tazz do their usual opening commentary as the John Morrison makes his way out to the ring. The Miz shortly follows (accompanied by Layla) and we have the first match up of the evening on our hands between the two challenges to the ECW title at Cyber Sunday

Match One
John Morrison vs. The Miz
Match Summary

A thoroughly entertaining match with both men looking to redeem themselves for not taking the ECW Championship the past Sunday night. The ending comes with Miz working on Morrison before attempting the Reality Check only for Morrison to counter out of it only for the Miz to attempt again leading to the Guru of Greatness rolling him up for the three count

Winner – John Morrison

Morrison celebrates the sneak win on the entrance aisle as Miz looks at him in amazement, no believing what had just happened. Layla slides into the ring to console him as we get a last glimpse of Morrison before we are sent backstage.

Backstage we see the General Manager of ECW Armando Alejandro Estrada sitting in his office talking to someone over the phone when suddenly there’s a knock at the door. Armando ends the phone conversation and in walks Matt Striker. Striker is curious about the announcement Estrada has planned for the night and begins to ask about it. Armando doesn’t give anything away which leads to guessing from Striker with his final guess being an ECW title match for Big Daddy V. Estrada just laughs and says that if Big Daddy V wasn’t selected by the public, he’d have to earn the match just like anyone else would. Striker begins to bicker and say that everything is against him and Big Daddy V which leads to Estrada saying he has no time for Matt before showing him the door. Upon exiting Striker says that Big Daddy V will earn that number one contenders position because he is the dominant force

We are then sent back to ringside to where Nunzio is already in the ring awaiting his opponent. The music of Big Daddy V hits as V and Striker make their way to the ring as we see an expression of shock cross the face of Nunzio but nonetheless, he appears to be ready.

Match Two
Nunzio vs. Big Daddy V w/Matt Striker
Match Summary

Your typical squash/Big Daddy V match, with complete domination from the big man. Nunzio opens the challenge with three or four right arms but to no avail as it’s all V from there on in, with the behemoth getting the win with a powerful elbow drop followed by a pin for the three

Winner – Big Daddy V

--------------------
Commercial Break
--------------------

ECW returns from the commercial break and things are sent backstage to where the current reigning ECW Champion CM Punk is standing on the backstage set. Punk recaps the ECW title match between him, Miz and Morrison and how that ever since he acquired the title he had been unstoppable. He understands now that there is the proverbial ‘price’ on his head and there are plenty of wrestlers in the locker room wanting to claim it. Punk says he isn’t afraid and welcomes the challenge. He says that he has become quite familiar with the title and doesn’t plan on losing the familiarity anytime soon.

We are sent back over to ringside where a local wrestler by the name of Max Sumbati is standing in the ring as the music of Smackdown!’s Chuck Palumbo hits the PA system and Palumbo rides his motorbike to the ring. During this time Joey Styles and Tazz inform us that Palumbo has signed to become exclusive to ECW.

Match Three
‘Local Jobber’ Max Sumbati vs. Chuck Palumbo
Match Summary

Surprisingly not a bad match with the local Sumbati getting in a bit on Palumbo however, it would eventuate that that bit would not be enough. The finish comes with Palumbo nailing a Superkick on the running jobber before hitting the Full Throttle for the three

Winner – Chuck Palumbo

Chuck celebrates his debut win in ECW as we are sent backstage back into the office of Armando Estrada, it looks as if it is time for that announcement. Estrada begins by talking about the night thus far before quickly turning his attention to the partnership that he and Vickie Guerrero made between ECW and Smackdown! Estrada says that after many complications he has been left with no choice but to end their agreement. Armando then proceeds in lifting up a piece of paper which looks to be the contract before ripping his in half, then in half again. Estrada ends by saying ‘I’m sorry Vickie, but joo left me no choice.’

We are sent back to ringside and it is now time for the Main Event as the ECW Champion CM Punk makes his way to the ring. His well known foe and opponent for the match Elijah Burke soon follows and the match is on the cards

[center]Main Event
Non-Title Match

ECW Champion CM Punk vs. Elijah Burke
Match Summary

The outstanding match when regarding those earlier in the night. Some very solid to and fro action during the early stages with near falls being made by both Burke and Punk. The finish comes with CM Punk in the corner and with Burke looking for the Elijah Express. At the last split second Punk bails out of the situation leading Burke into the turnbuckle. Burke stumbles back towards the center of the ring leading to Punk hitting the GTS for the win

Winner – CM Punk

Punk holds the ECW title up high and celebrates in the ring as Joey and Tazz do the round up commentary before ECW comes to a close

END SHOW

ECW REVIEW
By SC2004.

- Halloween edition of ECW, I’m already excited. Ha. John Morrison beats the Miz in the opening match. This was a great way to start off the show. You don’t write that much of a match description, so I can’t comment on how good the match would have been.

- I liked that backstage spot with Estrada and Stryker. I’m not a Big Daddy V fan, but then again who is? I hope he never becomes the number one contender.

- Big Daddy V wins with a big elbow drop. That’s weak. Poor Nunzio, total squash match here as you mentioned. At least it would have been over quick.

- The CM Punk segment was just okay for me, I didn’t feel what Punk was saying and I don’t think it came off all that well.

- A jobber gets a match with Palumbo on live TV, that sucks and you shouldn’t of went with this match after the previous squash match involving Big Daddy V IMO. I would of tuned out.

- Don’t think Estrada should of ended the deal he had going with Vickie Guerrero and with Smackdown. I think the rosters working together works well and that it is a good thing.

- Nice match to finish, this would have been cool to watch.

Overall, this was a show of two haves. The opening match and the last match were great, but all the stuff in the middle was flat. Introducing a Halloween theme would of helped the entertainment value. Anyway, I’m sure SmackDown will be a lot better.
