The LSW logo is shown before a fade to black.
We cut to the pitch black Garden. Suddenly, KANYE WEST appears on the stage and performs “Stronger”. After the song, Kanye throws up the “Roc” and a huge amount of pyro shoots out. Kanye leaves and the song strikes up again. We pan around the arena and see the crowd's colorful signs and posters. We cut over to a table with Michael Cole and John “Bradshaw” Layfield, who welcome us to the world premiere of Monday Night ShootOut.
**Ladies and Gentlemen** by Saliva hits the arena. The crowd gives a big pop as LSW Chairman, “Mean” Gene Okerlund and LSW CEO, Tony Schiavone, comes out. The two climb through the ropes with mikes in hands. They look out at the sold out, NYC crowd. The music fades and so does the crowd’s pop. “Mean” Gene Okerlund welcomes the crowd to the LSW to a huge pop from the crowd. Tony and Gene go into how this is a new dawn in professional wrestling and that this will mark the greatest era in professional wrestling since the 80s boom. Suddenly, **Burn In My Light** hits to big heat and out comes the Legend Killer, Randy Orton. Gene and Tony have confused faces. Randy gets in the ring and greets Gene and Tony with open arms, but Gene and Tony step back, not wanting to hug Orton. The music fades and Orton butters up to the two, telling them that they look nice and that this new business may be the start of something big.
But Gene and Tony aren't buying it. They tell Orton that he will not be named Heavyweight champion. Orton is furious. He asks the two that if he's not the champion, who will be? Gene and Tony say that in tonight's main event, there's gonna be a twenty-man, over the top battle royale to determine the new champion. Tony announces that if Orton doesn't win that match, he'll be in a No. 1 Contender's match next week. Orton asks who his opponent will be. Tony and Gene point to the stage. Suddenly, **Metalingus** hits and out comes the returning Edge! Orton looks on as Edge raises his hands on the stage. The pyro goes off and the crowd pops for Edge.
---------------------------*Commercial Break*---------------------------
Backstage, Eugene is walking down the hallway, he greets a few crew members and jobbers. Suddenly, he runs into Elijah Burke. Burke tells Eugene that he doesn't belong here at this new business and that he should go back to the mental rehabilitation home he came from. Eugene gets offensive and shoves Elijah Burke. Burke falls back a little from the shove. Burke then runs up to Eugene and shoves him into a wall. Elijah starts throwing forearms to Eugene. Eugene begins to cradle up on the floor with each shot. After a second, the security and officials pull Burke off of Eugene. Burke is kicking around and yelling that Eugene is nothing more than a retarded loser. Eugene is still cradled up on the floor. He begins to get up as Burke is taken away. Suddenly, the lights in the hallway turn red and the BoogeyMan's music hits. Eugene gets up to his feet. “Hello?,” he says. Suddenly, the BoogeyMan shows up behind Eugene. Eugene slowly turns around and sees the BoogeyMan face to face. Eugene runs off in fear and the BoogeyMan stuffs his face with worms.
Back in the ring...
Match #1; Television Championship Match: Rikishi v. Fit Finlay
Back and forth action with Finlay having the more advantage. Near the end, Finlay has Rikishi in a single-leg Boston crab. Rikishi begins pushing himself up using his hands. He uses the right leg (the one Finlay isn't holding) to get up as well. Before long, Rikishi has reached a good one legged stance. Rikishi then spins around and hits a spinning wheel kick to the side of Finlay's head. Finlay lets go of the left leg and stumbles to the ropes. Rikishi comes up to Finlay and hits a few right hands and whips the Irishman off the ropes. Rikishi comes towards Finlay and Finlay goes for a clothesline. Rikishi ducks and hits a Savate kick on Finlay. Rikishi then drags the Irishman to the bottom of the turnbuckle. Rikishi then walks to the turnbuckle on the other side. He races across the ring and goes for a butt bump, but Finlay dodges out of the way. Rikishi's butt smashes into the turnbuckle. Finlay then kicks him in the mid-section and lifts him up for the Celtic Cross. But Finlay drops him as he is too heavy. Finlay then bends over to catch his breath as Rikishi begins to get up from behind him. Finlay turns around and a standing Rikishi scoops him up and hits the Rikishi driver. He makes a cover and gets the three count.
Winner: Via Rikishi Driver, and the NEW LSW World Television Champion, Rikishi
Rikishi celebrates his victory for not only winning the first LSW match and winning the LSW TV title. The ref hands Rikishi the title belt. Rikishi gets on a turnbuckle, raising the title to the crowd. He gets on a few more turnbuckles, raising the title.
We cut backstage to Todd Grisham, standing by for an interview. Todd welcomes the reunited M.N.M, who walks up next to Grisham. Grisham asks them that since they're reunited, what do they plan to do. Mercury replies that they will win their fourth tag team title tonight in the huge four-way tag team ladder match. John Morrison adds that there's no way anybody's gonna stop them. Not the World's Greatest tag team, not the Hardyz, not even the surprise tag team in the match. Melina finishes by saying that they will be the most dominant tag team in LSW history. Right after she said that, The Hardyz walk up to MNM. The Hardyz say that if MNM gets in their way, they'll break their faces, much like they did to Joey at Armageddon '06. The Hardyz leave and MNM is furiously looking at them leave.
---------------------------*Commercial Break*---------------------------
In the ring...
Match #2; Carlito & The Great Khali v. CM Punk & Jerry Lawler
Khali took out Lawler early and dominated CM Punk. Near the end, Khali hits a thunderous back chop to Punk's chest. Khali steps back as Punk comes out of the turnbuckle dazed. Khali then grabs his throat with both hands. He then lifts him up and hits a double chokeslam. Khali then grabs him for the Vise grip. Punk begins to fade as Khali squeezes his big hands on his head. Jerry Lawler, who was knocked out of the ring earlier, begins to get up. Punk's head is bright red and is beginning to bleed. Lawler takes a look in the ring and notices Punk. Jerry quickly slides in and hits a big boot to Khali. Khali lets go of Punk and falls back from the maneuver. Lawler then follows Khali and hits a couple of right hands. Khali is backed up into his corner. Carlito tries to encourage Khali as Jerry hits a few backchops. Jerry then whips him across the ring and to the other turnbuckle. Khali crashes into it and walks out weakly. Jerry then runs off the ropes and hits a clothesline, but it doesn't knock Khali down. Jerry runs off the ropes and goes for another, Khali barely budges. CM Punk gets back in and he and Jerry head off the ropes. The two hit Khali with a double shoulder block. Khali is sent back into the ropes. Jerry runs off the ropes a fourth time and hits a huge clothesline that sends him and Khali over the top and to the floor below. Carlito comes in and goes for the backstabber on CM Punk from behind, but Punk holds onto the ropes in time and Carlito smacks to the canvas. Carlito gets up and Punk lifts him up in the fireman's carry. He then nails him with the G.T.S. Punk makes the cover and gets the pinfall.
Winner: Via G.T.S., CM Punk and Jerry Lawler
Punk then helps Jerry up and brings him back into the ring. As “This Fire Burns” plays, the ref holds up Punk and Jerry's hands. Punk gets on a turnbuckle and makes an X with his arms. Lawler just gets on the ropes and raises his fist to the crowd. Carlito holds his face from the G.T.S and rolls around in pain.
In another area backstage, Val Venis has Victoria and Torrie Wilson around his arms. They three are headed for the ring.
---------------------------*Commercial Break*---------------------------
Backstage, Mae Young is sitting alone. Suddenly, RIC and DAVID FLAIR come in to a big pop. They tell Mae that they know she's sad about the Fabulous Moolah's passing back in November. The two tell her that they can make it up to her. “Hit it, boys!,” says Ric. Suddenly, dance music begins playing, a disco ball comes from the ceiling. The three begin dancing all around the room. Suddenly, a few more legends and young superstars from the roster come in until the room is filled with superstars, young and old, dancing.
Back in the ring...
Match #3; Intercontinental Championship Tournament match; Paul Burchill v. Val Venis
Venis had a few key moments, but it mainly went to Burchill. Near the end, Venis breaks free of the Royal Mutilation and runs off the ropes and hits a shoulder block, sending Burchill down. The two get up and Burchill is knocked down by a right hand. Burchill gets up and Venis repeats with another right. Burchill gets up a third time and Venis hits a scoop slam. He then climbs up the turnbuckle and stands high and tall, looking down at his opponent. Suddenly, in comes DAVE TAYLOR with a steel chair. He gets up on the apron, but Venis leaps off the turnbuckle and hits a drop kick, sending the chair to Dave's face. Dave falls off the turnbuckle and Venis picks himself back up to his feet on the apron. He then turns to Burchill, who's getting up in the ring. Venis then leaps up on the top ropes and goes for a springboard elbow, but Burchill catches him and nails the C4. He gets the three count from there.
Winner: Via C4, and advancing in the IC tournament, Paul Burchill
Burchill rolls out of the ring and meets Dave. Venis holds the back of his head as Dave and Burchill start backing up the ramp. Burchill signals that he'll have the title around the waist soon.
Backstage, Tony Schiavone is relaxing on a chair in the executive office. Suddenly, in comes “Mean” Gene. Tony tells “Mean” Gene how big of a success the show is so far. Gene agrees, but asks Tony how to follow up. Tony tells him that next week, ShootOut should have a title match with the champion and a soon-to-be-named superstar, and another superstar. And the winner of that match will go onto to defend the title against Orton, Michaels or Edge at the Royal Rumble.
In another area backstage, the Hardyz are heading towards the ring for the big tag team ladder match.
---------------------------*Commercial Break*---------------------------

Back in the ring...
Match #4; Four-Way Tag Team Ladder Match for the LSW World Tag Team Championships: MNM v. The Hardyz v. The World’s Greatest Tag Team v. (The Surprise Entries) Rey Mysterio & Ultimo Dragon
Well, we knew this was gonna be a blockbuster. Huge one here. People flying off ladders, people slamming into tables, etc. You know the drill. The team that probably had the most momentum for the longest amount of time was probably the Hardyz, obviously being the ladder match experts. Near the end, Mercury’s out cold on an announce table, Morrison is out cold from being smacked in the head with a ladder, Haas is out from a top-ladder twist of fate from Jeff and Benjiman is out from a top-ladder leg drop by Matt. Leaving the Hardyz and Rey and Ultimo. The two teams look dead at each other. Suddenly, the brawl was on! Both teams are throwing wild right hands at each other. Mysterio whips Jeff off the ropes, but Jeff nails a huge neckbreaker to Mysterio. Ultimo rapidly hits low kicks to Matt’s legs. Matt starts to kneel a little. Ultimo jumps off the ropes and goes for a springboard cross-body, which Jeff counters by catching him and turning it into a side effect. Matt and Jeff stalk the two. Mysterio and Ultimo get up and Matt and Jeff both go for a twist of fate. Suddenly, Ultimo counters Jeff and hits his Ultimo DDT. Mysterio counters Matt by pushing him onto the ropes. As Matt leans on the ropes, the crowd goes wild for Mysterio to hit the 619. Mysterio runs off the ropes and hits the move. Matt slams on his back to the mat. Mysterio then jumps off the ropes and goes for a springboard leg drop.
Suddenly, SABU comes from out of nowhere into the ring, and throws a chair at Mysterio. Mysterio and the chair meet in mid-air. Mysterio slams onto the canvas. Ultimo gets in Sabu’s face. Sabu then kicks Ultimo in the mid-section and hits him with a gutbuster. Jeff Hardy begins to get up at this point. Sabu then climbs the turnbuckle with a chair and hits his Arabian face buster to Ultimo. Jeff is up to his feet and he looks at Sabu. Sabu races out of the ring as Jeff continues to look in confusion. Suddenly, Mercury, unbeknownst to everybody, had gotten up off the table and hid under the ring. Mercury then quickly slides back into the ring, grabs Jeff from behind and throws him out the ring. Mercury quickly climbs up the high ladder and nervously begins unhooking the two titles. Benjiman slowly gets up and realizes his chances of winning are in jeopardy. He tries to shake the ladder, but by the time he started, Mercury was finished. The bell rings.
Winners: Via Unhooking the Title Belts, and NEWWW NWE World Tag Team Champions, M.N.M.
Mercury foolishly leaps off the top of the ladder and slams to the mat below. He weakly rolls out of the ring and is comforted by Melina. “Paparazzi” hits as they grab Morrison and the tag team title belts and start heading up the ramp. Shelton stands in the middle of the ring, frozen in frustration. Mercury and Morrison weakly raise the tag team title belts. Mysterio crawls around in the ring, holding his face.
---------------------------*Commercial Break*---------------------------
Promo: --------------I'm sorry, what's that?--------------You don't know?--------------How we roll?--------------Well, pay attention--------------4 time Heavyweight champion.--------------11 time tag team champion.--------------1-time Hardcore champion.--------------1 time European champion.--------------1 time Intercontinental champion.--------------and the coalition--------------So if ya' don't know--------------Now ya' know--------------Cause that's----------------------------how we roll... Coming next week to Monday Night ShootOut.
Match #5; Intercontinental Championship Tournament match; Kane v. Mark Henry
Big mammoth v. mammoth match up, with each man matched up evenly. Neither man gained the more momentum against the other. Near the end, after giving it all they got, both are fatigued. Kane weakly whips Henry into a turnbuckle. He then races up and this a turnbuckle clothesline. Henry then weakly walks out of the turnbuckle. Kane then lifts him up and hits a side slam! The crowd pops in shock. Kane then slowly ascends a turnbuckle and stalks Henry. Henry gets up and turns around. Kane then leaps off and hits his turnbuckle clothesline! The crowd pops as both behemoths are out. The ref's count reaches 7 before Kane begins to get up. By the time the ref is at 9, Kane is up. He raises his right arm and stalks Henry for the finish. Henry slowly reaches a vertical base and Kane grabs him by the throat for the chokeslam! Suddenly, Henry kicks him in the gut and lifts him up for the World's Strongest slam. He hits the move and rests on top of Kane for the pinfall and the victory.
Winner: Via World's Strongest slam, Mark Henry
“Some Bodies Gonna Git Hurt” hits to big heat. However, Henry is still resting on top of Kane. Both men are out cold! The medic rush out to help the two. The crowd give the men a standing ovation for putting on the great match.
Backstage, Todd has Mr. Kennedy standing by. Todd asks Kennedy about his match up next against Carlito. Kennedy replies saying that absolutely nobody's gonna stand in his way of beating Carlito, winning the Rumble match, and going on to main event WrestleMania and win the LSW World Championship... nobody.
---------------------------*Commercial Break*---------------------------
Backstage, Tony is pacing around and Gene is sitting down in the executive office. Tony impatiently asks Gene when the surprise entrant they picked will come out to the ring already. Gene tells him to be patient and says that the entrant will come out and reveal himself when he's good and ready.
In another area backstage, Carlito is bragging to a few women that he could win any match he sets his mind to. Just then, Tony Schiavone walks out of the executives office and over-hears this. He walks up to Carlito and asks him if he could win any match at any time. Carlito says that he can. Tony bets Carlito that he couldn't win a match against Mr. Kennedy. Carlito argues, saying that he could beat Kennedy at any place, any time. Tony then tells Carlito that since he can, he will fight Mr. Kennedy.... RIGHT NOW! Carlito begins shouting and arguing with Tony, but Tony walks off, saying that his decision is final. Carlito storms off to the ring in anger.
Minutes later in the ring...
Match #6: Mr. Kennedy v. Carlito
Very high-impact match-up, very competitive. Kennedy mostly in control, mainly because of his good abilities against Carlito's agility. Carlito was also feeling tired from his first match. Anyhow, Carlito is in trouble as we head towards the end of the match. Kennedy is on top of a turnbuckle with Carlito, positioning for a high-risk superplex. The crowd is on there feet, waiting to see if it'll happen. Carlito begins to throw right hands to Kennedy's ribs. Kennedy loosens his grip a little more. Finally, Carlito is able to push Kennedy off. Kennedy slowly gets off and Carlito meets him with a missile drop kick. Carlito goes for a cover, Kennedy kicks out at two. Carlito picks him up and scoops him up and slams him back down. Carlito climbs up a turnbuckle and looks down at Kennedy. But Carlito rests on the turnbuckle for a few seconds, being too tired. Suddenly, the fresh and vigor Kennedy races back on the turnbuckle and hoists him up on his shoulders. Kennedy then flips off of it and performs the J.F.K. off the top. He makes the cover and gets the three count. The bell rings.
Winner: Via J.F.K., Kenneth "Mr. Kennedy" Anderson
Kennedy slides out of the ring, accomplishing his first LSW win. He starts up ramp as Carlito lies on his back in pain. Kennedy raises his hands in victory at the top of the ramp.
Backstage, a man is in a dark room with the match on TV. We can't see his face or body, but we can see a big, gold belt on his shoulders. He gets up and leaves the room.

Re: The League of Smashmouth Wrestling
It sucks that I sent out all those reviews, but not one of them have been returned. Oh well, I won't waste my time complaining about it. The show will go on.
Gerweck.net
-The premiere of ShootOut recieved a 2.6 rating. While the LSW is pleased, they feel they can do better. "The reason we beat TNA in the ratings this week..." says LSW CEO Tony Schiavone. "Is because people turned to us to see a different form of wrestling. We've gotta try harder not end up like WWE."
-The LSW is very happy to have gained Samoa Joe, Kaz and Christian Cage from their TNA contracts. Kaz and Christian are expected to make an appearance next week, with a possible role in the Royal Rumble.
-With his bad backstage attitude, the LSW has realesed Sabu and will immediately drop his feud with Rey Mysterio. Inside sources say that in the near future, Mysterio will probably enter a feud with his partner, Ultimo Dragon.
-The LSW is in talks with Harry Smith to sign him. They were hoping to have him at the Rumble, but it's been confirmed that it will not happen. The LSW is also in talks with another superstar who will probably make a surprise appearance in the Royal Rumble match.
-With only one more show before the Rumble, Randy Orton is a strong contender to face Joe for the title at the Rumble. Shawn Michaels and Edge are also possible choices. A triple threat between the three might happen this week.
-Finally, with managment having the Rumble all planned out, Mark Henry and Paul Burchill are not on the card. They will most likely have their match for the vacant IC title on the ShootOut after the Rumble.

Re: The League of Smashmouth Wrestling
YoungBloodChampion’s RECAP SHOOTOUT Feedback.
First show, here we go. I dunno about doing it in recap though dude. You should’ve pulled out all the straps here.
VERY short promo to kick things off. Even though it’s recapped it was still way too short to garner any sort of real interest, nor did you establish any characters. The main talking point I guess is the Battle Royal getting announced as well as seemingly an Edge v Orton match next week? This definitely needed more length as the first segment of the first show. You needed to create a big impression but unfortunately you didn’t quite do it here despite a couple of major announcements.
Weird. That’s the only way I can describe this segment. I think it was really just there to get Elijah, Eugene and The Boogeyman on the show. Burke was okay though, this was a good way to establish him as a heel. I hope you give him a push.
Interesting match as your first for the night. I like you match writing style in that you describe the wrestlers moves very well and when you start writing full matches that will serve you well. The flow of this wasn’t quite there though because you kept using full stops, making short, choppy sentences, use a comma. Anyway, Rikishi as your first TV champion is different I guess and I’ll be interested to see where you go with it.
Bland segment here with MNM… in reality since you’re still calling him John Morrison instead of Nitro, shouldn’t they be MMM now? Anyway, this promo served its purpose in hyping the tag team title match. Solid stuff. The Ladder Match should be awesome!
The Great Khali & Carlito v CM Punk & Jerry Lawler? That has to be one of the most random matches I’ve ever seen booked. I hate 3 of the 4 in it so my interest is really limited. As much as I hate Khali, I wasn’t that fond of the way he was thrown around by Lawler apparently quite easily. Thankfully common sense prevails and Punk picks up the win, so props there. You know I’ll be keen to see what you do with him. Please get rid of Khali, soon.
Confusing promo with Mean Gene and Edge (I like Gene as an authority figure for some reason by the way). Michaels gets added to what match? The Number 1 Contenders match next week I assume?
Hmm. Dancing??
It’s weird that we’re having an Intercontinental Championship tournament yet you’ve made no formal announcement of that. Venis and Burchill are an odd combination for a IC Title contenders match. It’s good to see you’re giving them some exposure and it seems as if a push might be in the midst for Paul Burchill. Nice to see you used the interference from Dave Taylor to bring about the finish, good way to actually have Val look a little bit strong.
So next week we’re having a World Title match and a Number 1 Contenders match? Should be a huge show. In full plz.
Okay. This one was a clusterfuck. It was all over the place, no flow at all but it was a ladder match so it’s okay. Sabu coming from no where was surprising and I guess there must’ve been a reason behind it, so it’ll be interesting to see where you go with that. MNM… I hope you do something about renaming Morrison back to Nitro btw… should be good champions and it establishes them nicely as heels. The big story of all this though is the Sabu interference and I feel that kind of takes away from the prestige of being the first champions. I think a clean(ish) finish would’ve been better suited here to be honest.
Christian’s Coalition is coming? Cool.
Okay, Mark Henry and Kane should both be no where near the IC Title, you could use this tournament to bring up young talent but you use these two? Slow and typical match between these two. Nothing spectacular, this one was really just to get them both on the show I feel. I don’t think it will build to any other storyline and I hope to god Henry is used to put over the eventual champion.
Kennedy hype is good hype.
They’re picked a champion? Um. Okay. Confusing.
So apparently Carlito didn’t know he was wrestling Kennedy but Kennedy knew? I’m a bit lost.
Solid win for Kennedy, as if it was ever in doubt. This came across as a bit of a squash but it seems you’re looking to build up Kennedy. “Kennedy accomplishes his 2nd win as an intercontinental”? An intercontinental what?
Hmm… it seems we’re going to hear from the guy they gave a championship too.
Interesting wrestlemania slogan “The whole damn show”. RVD better be there.
Are you giving David Flair a push? By having him eliminate his father as well as be in the final four of the Battle Royal, it seems like it. It’s a bit disappointing that you only went into the eliminations of three people but oh well. Orton wins it. Wait. No he doesn’t. There’s another entry? It has to be Edge. Austin? Gay. Orton better win. Wait! It’s not Austin! It’s SAMOA JOE! JOE WINS! Haha. That’s cool. You actually shocked me. I like it.
This was a decent opening show. Your match recaps need a little more depth but it’s your promos that need the most work. You need to start developing characters more and add some more direction to the show because this one lacked direction towards the end and it started to drag on a little bit. Overall, it was an okay start but you definitely have a long way to go. I’ll be back for your next show to see how you’ve improved. Don’t stress to much about not getting many reviews mate, the section as a whole is pretty dead at the moment due to Xmas. Don’t let it harm you motivation.

True. I should've made a huge announcment on the opening show, but that was as about as big as I could make.

I have Eugene lined up for some feuds in the coming weeks. The first being Elijah Burke. It will be a short feud. As for Burke's push, we'll see. The other, as you probably guessed, is the BoogeyMan, who he'll probably feud with till WrestleMania. The third will be established at the Rumble.

The first match should've been bigger, but I couldn't think of anything else. I try to keep the sentences short, sweet and to the point. I'm not really sure how people will take my full match writing skills, though. I'm worried it's not good enough.

At the Royal Rumble, M.N.M. will officially be renamed into Triple M, which sounds a lot better.

This was originally supposed to be a Rumble qualifying match, but then I figured that I didn't have enough superstars to do something like that. So I just made it a random tag team match. I don't think I have any plans for Khali in the future, so I might let him go.

There will be a No. 1 contender's match next week with Orton, Michaels and Edge squaring off for a title shot at the Rumble.
