Default EWE (Extreme Wrestling Entertainment) by LegendofBaseball

Hey all, it's been a more than a month now since I opened my first BTB, entitled "LegendofBaseball presents WWE: the New Era Finally Begins...". Although I was very much into the project, I felt as if WWE based BTBs were a bit too prevalent in this forum, so, I worked on another project which I'm unveiling here today. Hope you all enjoy reading it as much as I enjoy working at it, feedback is more than welcomed.

-----------------------------------------

EWE
(Extreme Wrestling Entertainment)

...With the fledging and oversatured world of wrestling not being led anywhere specific by the number 1 promotion in the world today, the WWE, a new wrestling promotion is set to emerge from the ashes and set a real, competing alternative for the WWE. The origins of this new company, the EWE (Extreme Wrestling Entertainment), began a little more than 9 months ago. At WWE Wrestlemania 23, Vincent Kennedy McMahon Jr. had asked the help of Donald J. Trump in an attempt to bring media attention to his yearly extravaganza. Mr. Trump was very familiar with Wrestlemanias, as he hosted two in '88 & '89 at his Trump Plaza Hotel & Casino in Atlantic City, NJ, and, had appeared at Wrestlemania VII in the front row while it was taking place in Los Angeles in 1991. It had been more than 16 years since Mr. Trump had been officialy seen on WWE television. And, he was glad to help out a friend. But, in his heart, he really felt as if the product he once backed up, was worth way more than it is today. And, while being involved with the storylines behind himself being involved at Wrestlemania, Donald J. Trump came in contact with Vince McMahon's only son, Shane McMahon. They had several talks with each other, Shane mostly mentioning to Mr. Trump that the directions the company was sometimes taking, didn't fit too well with him and that his father rarely relied on his ideas to put forth in the company. One example that was explained long and large by Shane to Mr. Trump was the rebirth of the ECW brand of wrestling. Shane had tried to convince his father to tour the brand around the United States in small venues to give it a feel of what it once was, but, his father wouldn't have none of it and made it is own, which, in the eyes of many involved and not, was a bad business decision.

Now, 8 months later, rumors have been circulating after Shane McMahon, the heir apparent to the McMahon Family Empire, quit his job as the head of Media Relations and the Marketing Department. Wrestling journalists worldwide tried getting interviews with the young man but, the only information available to the public was that Shane McMahon had quit due to "unhappiness" within the ranks of WWE Inc..

What happened next was even the more shocking. On December 31st 2007, live from the Trump Tower in New York City, Donald J. Trump held a private press conference, calling out to all the wresting publications, journalists, websites and such, not letting anything be known before the press conference as to why he invited so many wrestling related personalities. PWI, Meltzer and the likes all traveled to the Big Apple on New Year's Eve to hear of this news. And as the Press Conference started, a huge banner, sporting the letters "E W E" appeared before everyone. The company's name was to be called "Extreme Wrestling Entertainment". Donald Trump briefly explained what the concept was. A company that would take each letter of its name, the "Extreme", the "Wrestling" and the "Entertainment" and get out of these names the best product possible. He said that competition in business is always healthy, maybe not always for the men in power, but for the people, and he said that over the many years he's been working, developping and selling property, his one main goal was to satisfy the client by any which way he could. Not because the client rules his business, but because, out of integrity to present his clients with the best products possible, the voice of the people is of the outmost importance. He said that he wasn't going to be alone in this voyage, and, to the audience's utter disbelief, that man was none other than Shane McMahon.

He talked candidly about himself quitting the WWE. Stating the obvious, his, total lack of passion for his work. And now, acting at 25 % to 75 % of Donald Trump's ownership, they would bring the sport of professional wrestling back to where it once was. Not by reinventing the wheel, and not by "giving the people what they want" and then not doing it, but, by putting a wrestling show that puts wrestling and entertainment on the same level. He said that, as of now, their first ever show was to be scheduled for Saturday January 26th at the Hammerstein Ballroom in New York City, just a few blocks away from where they were at the moment. Many a reporters asked, "why not have your first show on a Sunday night like the tradition states?". To that, Shane answered simply, "Because, our motto is, accessibility, and, why couldn't Saturdays be days for wrestling events?". Shane also stated that their event would be called "Retaliation" and would be shown exclusively on PPV, worth 15 $ and lasting close to 3 hours in length. Shane was asked if the name of the PPV was a direct hit at the WWE, and, Shane responded that, "No matter what we do, it'll always seem as though we are taking hits at the WWE, but, unlike what many people have been saying, and although my dad and my family weren't aware of what I was going to embark on, there is going to be no fighting and no bickering in our family tonight when the New Year rolls along. It's just a matter of me living out my life. Not trying to live it out for someone else."

In closing, Donald Trump took the stage once more and announced the official opening of the EWE's official website, EWE_Pro_Wrestling.Com, stating that, in the coming days, all leading up to the big event on the 26th, news concerning the company's hirings and, many more info, would be added and posted on there. Also, he mentioned that the fans that subscribed for 0,99 $ a year, would be able to receive promotional videos for events, merchandising sales coupons and, advanced ticket sales, as, after the 26th of January, the EWE would embark on a road of traveling the United States and, as time would have it, across the world. "Expect big things, although I'm not here to declare war on anyone... some things that happen in the next couple of days, and weeks, will probably lead you to believe so, it's business, and nothing but business, nothing's personal here. It is not even a fight between two rich men, it is only a competition that will revitalize the Wrestling industry, nothing more, nothing less. Have yourselves a Happy New Year's, and drive home safely", finished off Donald Trump, lifting his arm in the air, giving the "peace & love" sign to the people who had come for this press conference, before he and Shane posed for the cameras and then left.

So, the EWE, at the helm of it, Donald J. Trump, a man of great action, determination and knowledge, and, Shane McMahon, a young thinker, full of heart, and passion for the business. What will come out of this whole experience? No one can really tell, one thing's for sure, competition will be brought upon the WWE, and, the winners are going to be the fans...

I'm so glad to be back folks, finaly, with my new BTB. The first, show, as stated in the first post, will be on the 26th of January. The results for this first ever show of mine will either posted on that exact same date, or, days before. For now, the concept I will use is to give you news and informaiton via the "EWE's blog". As if you were actually coming to this fictional site to check up on the happenings of the company. I will slowly start to unveil roster members and, when everything has been official and announced, then, I will edit my first post to give everyone and overview look of my BTB. For now, here's the first tidbit of news. EnjoY!

"2 Tribute Shows In the Works"

Our team here at EWE_Pro_Wrestling.Com received an invoice from 25 % Owner Mr. Shane McMahon this morning and we couldn't believe our own eyes what was part of that invoice. First of all, two dates have been announced for shows late this January before the big "Retaliation" PPV, Monday, January 21st at 7 pm ET at the Omni in Atlanta, GA, the EWE is working on a "World Championship Wrestling Tribute Show". Nobody has been signed to partake in this event, but Mr. McMahon feels well confident that in the coming days, names will be adding to the list of former WCW Alumnis who will partake in this historic event, almost 7 years after the buyout, going back to its hometown of "ATL". Tickets will go on sale this Saturday (01/05/08) at all Atlanta ticket outlets and at the Omni's box office outlet.

Now, take a deep breath, because, the day before the EWE's very first PPV, Mr. Shane McMahon will also organize another tribute show, this time, for the Alumnists of "Extreme Championship Wrestling" at the Hammerstein Ballroom. Tickets for the "Retaliation" PPV are already on sale, but, if you currently hold one of these hot tickets, you can call this number, 1-888-735-4837, and ask for your special discount on tickets for the Friday, January 25th "ECW Tribute Show" (Start time, 8 pm ET). Again, these tickets will go on sale this Saturday and although no names have been signed for the event, Mr. McMahon has assured us that in the coming days, matches and names will be announced right here on EWE_Pro_Wrestling.Com.

And if that wasn't enough, this invoice also included this very message: "On Friday January 25th at the ECW Tribute Show, I will be there in person to announce the first ever Chairman and CEO of the EWE." Wow, that will be something worth looking for indeed. Check back tomorrow as well unvail more information concerning these two huge tribute shows and try to dig up some dirt on what's going to happen at "Retaliation" on the 26th. Until next time, this has been James Salazar for the EWE_Pro_Wrestling.Com team, have a safe one and don't take unecessary bumps, leave it to us!

I came up with this idea and felt it was quite different from some of the stuff I've seen, I guess it like "expands" the idea of having a "real" company with a real running "website", I hope you guys like it.

"News, Notes & Whatever's Left" by Tully Blanchard

Yes, you're eyes are still functioning the way they should, you've read it right, this is the one and the only Tully Blanchard, writing to you from my home in San Antonio, one of the four original 4 Horsemen is glad to announce that each and every thursday, you, the fans of the EWE will get the privilege of reading yours truly's roundabout about the new upcoming and promising promotion to hit the waves here on the East Coast, the hottest hot bed of Pro Wrestling nowadays.

Now, this ain't about me, it's about rounding up the facts, the dirt and whatever's left! Get it? Now let's get down to it.

When I first received the call from Shane McMahon, I was more than pleased to accept this small but ever so important role in bringing you journalism through the eyes of a former man that donned the proverbial thights. And after reading the first entry from fellow EWE journalist, James Salazar just yesterday, I have to say, I can't wait to be in Atlanta on the 21st. You heard me world, yours truly will be in Atlanta on the 21st of January for the big tribute to WCW.

Now that we've cleared this up, let's get down to the real dirt and business 'cause I know that's why you are here.

First off, ever since last night, at around 4:30, I've been making calls left and right to see who might have been approached to sign or join the EWE. The first man I called was my old pal Ric Flair. Now, Ric's been taking a long time off and he told me that if he's approached by Shane & Donald, he'll sure be glad to join the EWE depending on the circumstances. Now that's great news for anyone involved in this whole adventure.

Concerning the WCW tribute show that's in the works, I had it confirmed by the offices that four huge names have made their appearance official. The single greatest interviewer in the game, my dear friend, "Mean" Gene Okerlund will be there live on the 21st and he has signed an official spanking brand new contract for the next two years to work for the EWE as one of their official "stick men", also helping young talent mastering the art of talking on the microphone. "The Living Legend" Larry Zbysko has also returned the invitation with a nod and he's set to receive some sort of offer, from what I hear, for a huge "position" within the EWE offices. Wonder what's that going to be? And, last but not least, a man whom I fought over the years and bled with in the good ol' squared circle, "the American Dream" Dusty Rhodes will be live in Atlanta alongside his son, Dustin Rhodes, who's confirmed his "one night only" appearance at the show. Dusty is also set to receive some sort of offer for a huge "position" in the company.

Before I leave you for this week's first writting, I have to announce that tomorrow, at noon, on this very website, a special live feed will feature Donald Trump himself, the man, with Shane McMahon, as they have a huge announcement to make concerning the EWE and its future, so, don't miss it folks. From the desert, this is Tully saying so long, and, 'till next time. God Bless.

"Special Live Feed Report"

EWE Fans, if you missed the special live feed earlier today, you missed a bunch. But I'm here with a special report on all the announcements made earlier on in the day. Let's start with two interesting tidbit of news that was made official by Donald Trump himself.

Donald Trump met on the 2nd of January with "Ring of Honor" promoters Gabe Sapolsky & Cary Silkin and with "SHIMMER Women Athletes" promoter Dave Prazak and in, conjunction with both these promotions, Donald Trump signed an exclusive talent exchange deal that gives both "ROH" & "SHIMMER" the chance to book EWE Talent and vice-versa. Mr. Shane McMahon commented on this as saying: "The whole point of this is to help not, popularize these two up and coming promotions, no, that's not it. What we're trying to do here is to give some much needed exposure to two wrestling promotions who deserve it, but don't necessarily have the money they would need for such a thing. And, most of the wrestlers that will be featured on our shows are today's future of the business, it's only right that they have a third outlet as far as exposure is concerned because they undeniably have loads of talent and need that exposure in order to further help their families and themselves and not wait for someone to call them and ask them to leave what they love behind for money." We'll definitely have more news on this great deal made by Donald Trump & Shane McMahon over the course of the weekend but, for now, all we can say is, welcome to the men and women of Ring Of Honor & SHIMMER, welcome!

In other very important news, Donald Trump has announced ten major signings that will surprise alot of people. These signings will be officialy posted on EWE_Pro_Wrestling.Com tomorrow at noon, ET, so, be sure not to miss this announcement, as it will indeed shape up the future of the EWE itself.

Shane McMahon also announced signings for the two tribute shows that are in the works. On the WCW side of things, Shane McMahon has confirmed the appearances of three major former WCW stars in "the Enforcer" Arn Anderson, &, the most sucessful tag team in the early 90's, the team of Rick & Scott, the Steiner Brothers. Shane has announced that the Steiners will be in action, but, hasn't announced who they will face just yet. On the ECW side of things now, two names have been confirmed by Shane McMahon for the show on the 25th, these names being Joey Styles & Cactus Jack aka Mick Foley. Joey Styles has not only been signed for the 25th, but, has signed a spanking brand new 2 year deal with the EWE to be the official voice of its shows. This came as quite a surprise, as Joey Styles was working just days ago on the SciFi Channel. A huge coup for the EWE indeed. As for Mick Foley, nobody knows yet what his role will be on this show, but, one thing's for sure, there won't be no Mr. Socko rumbling around backstage.

And now, last but not least, Donald Trump announced the date and venue for the EWE's second ever PPV event. Mark your calendars, because on February the 23rd, live from the 1st Mariner Arena in Baltimore, MD, the EWE will present "Super Brawl I"!. Tickets will go on sale one month before the event and we'll keep you posted on where and how you get your hands on these tickets in due time. Shane McMahon answered some questions regarding the name of this event, clearly referring to WCW's once former February huge event that first saw the light of day in 1991. "It was in part a sort of tribute to the old days of WCW, but, we don't want people to think we'll be clinching on to the past, this is just a name that fit well with the kind of shows we want to put together, wrestling shows. And for us, it's more than an honor to be in Baltimore, a city that is very familiar with wrestling and it will be our first event outside of New York, which is something we are also proud of."

Boy, what a day it was and there's plenty more to come. I'm James Salazar, check back tomorrow on EWE_Pro_Wrestling.Com at noon for the huge first 14 official signings to the EWE Roster and for more news and info on the EWE itself, and until next time, stay safe, don't take unecessary bumps, leave it to us!
