I rated it 5 stars but some other idiots left crap ratings like a 1 star.

Hmm, interesting, first time I saw I had star ratings was higher than the one I have know, well, thanks anyways, I highly appreciate it.

P.s. I do some reviews here and there on other BTBs, and sometimes people might take my constructive criticism the wrong way, it's all good.

EWE_Pro_Wrestling.Com (01/31/08)
"News, Notes & Whatever's Left" by Tully Blanchard

I want to start this blog with a big "WOW" for the quality of the program that was "Tuesday Night Showdown". I'm paid to say these things, but, believe you me, there's nobody telling me what to say.

I truly felt that Tuesday Night Showdown recaptured the essence of what professional wrestling should look like on TV. Those 90 minutes went flying be too quickly but a longer show would be filled with less quality than this one right here.

A lot of things happened since than, and, on "TNS". First thing that comes to mind is Steve Corino & and his "Old School Heroes". It is not easy to create a stable with people and make it work, believe me, I know what I'm talking about. But Steve Corino has assembled three talented guys with their future ahead of them, and with these three hungry guys getting their tutelage from someone like Steve Corino, there's no telling how great they will be here in the EWE. What I cannot understand is Steve Corino's decision to take himself out of the match at the PPV and challenge CM Punk for the ECW Championship instead. I know these two have quite the history, but, it must really be bitting at the teeth of Steve Corino for him to pursue CM Punk so vehemently.

Other big story coming out of "TNS" is Jesse The Body Ventura's sudden dislike of the Ring of Honor promotion. I don't understand that of Jesse. I for one, would love to be 10 years younger and try my shot at some of these tremendous wrestlers, and I really cannot see what seems to be the problem with The Body on this particular subject. The Ring of Honor promotion and the EWE have an agreement and it doesn't seem as though The Body is too keen about it. I've heard through the grapevine that The Body will, from now on, be replaced by someone else during these weekly Ring of Honor matches.

What a dissapointing loss for AJ Styles. This young is probably the next Shawn Michaels of this business. Flamboyant, athletic, charismatic, minus, of course, the controversy, but that's a good thing in this day and age. I've been told by close personal friends of AJ backstage that the injury to his shoulder will not keep him out of action but, will definitely put him at a disadvantage next week in that big match against both Hassan & Burke.

On the flip coin of that story, what a huge, momentous win for Mr. Kennedy. Look, to me, a win's a win and a loss is a loss. When you step into a ring, anything is fair game. What happened to AJ Styles sure is sad in some ways, but, to me, Mr. Kennedy really outsmarted AJ Styles and, with the help of his stable mates, took the advantage that was presented to him and banked on his promise of making it to the Pay-Per-View. You can hate the man, but, he is bound to accomplish great things here in the EWE.

In closing I want to remind you to tune in to YES this Saturday for the first edition of "Saturday Night Wrestling" with your hosts, Donnie B. & "Cowboy" Bob Orton, those 60 minutes will be filled with wrestling action from the up and coming wrestlers of the EWE roster and it is definitely worth checking out.

I will see you all next week, God Bless.

The Kidman and Shane match should be good. It'll probably involve interference or some other heel tactics.

I'm looking forward to how you'll write the NRC and Briscoes match. I really enjoyed the match you wrote with the Briscoes .vs. the Age of the Fall.

I'm guessing there will be a surprise or two as well. Can't wait.

Also, as a sidenote, I'm going to the WM Orlando ROH shows as well. Should be spectacular, it'll be my first live ROH experience. What tickets do you have? I only have General Admission.

I'll be posting the show today or early tomorrow!

I have 7th rows seats. How big is the Orlando Downtown Rec. Complex compared to... say, the Murphy Rec. Center? I'm guessing a lot bigger but, how much is what I really want to know!

Man, I come from way up north to go see, as well, my first Ring of Honor show and I'm just hyped I can barely sleep at night. I know the product isn't as good as in previous years with all the big names pretty much gone, but, I still support ROH as my favorite company right now just for the product they bring out each and every show. That'll be a 26 hours drive well worth it! Especially since the Sunny announcement has been made...!

EWE SATURDAY NIGHT WRESTLING
On YES
Saturday, February 2nd, 2008
New York City, NY (Hammerstein Ballroom)
// Taped on 01/29/08 //
// EWE_Pro_Wrestling.Com Feed without Commercials //

***OPEN FEED***

The opening video package for EWE's Saturday Night Wrestling opens up the show, set to "Faint" by Linkin Park. The opening lasts about 30-35 seconds and shows a lot of the mainstays in the EWE but also a lot of established Ring of Honor/SHIMMER performers, putting the emphasis on the future of the business. A faster, put together type video mostly set to the high energy chorus of the song. The logos of the EWE & "SNW" appear on the screen on a black background that breaks like glass timed to the song's last note.

The cameras take us inside of the Hammerstein Ballroom to a raucous crowd of New Yorkers. They then switch to a pretty much recluse section of the Hammerstein Ballroom where, sitting behind a wooden desk with two small monitors and some sheet of papers in front of them are the hosts of this show, play-by-play man, Donnie B. (brother of Nova a.k.a. Simon Dean) and Hall of Famer, "Cowboy" Bob Orton.

Donnie B. - "Wrestling fans, you are watching the EWE, Saturday Night Wrestling, my name is Donnie B., alongside myself, a true wrestling legend, "Cowboy" Bob Orton, Mr. Orton, it is a pleasure to be besides such a legend on such an important day."

Cowboy Orton - "Well I'm very pleased to be here and, this is really something else ain't it?"

Donnie B. - "It is, because this is the debut show of the EWE's Saturday Night Wrestling weekly television show, a show that will stirr a bit away from what you fans saw on Tuesday Night Showdown. This show right here is all about the future of this business, the future of professional wrestling."

Cowboy Orton - "You know as well as I do, and, the folks at home know it as well. You need to start somewhere in this professional wrestling business and to build a career, you know to start at the bottom like everybody else."

Donnie B. - "You are exactly right Mr. Orton the future of professional wrestling is here on Saturday Night Wrestling, and that means that each and every week the fans at home will be witness to matches from the SHIMMER Women's Athletes promotion, the Ring of Honor promotion and some of the lesser known wrestlers in the EWE but tonight, we have a huge Main Event for you on this broadcast, in a non-title affair, "ECW" Champion CM Punk to take on former foe, Justin Credible."

Cowboy Orton - "That's right, there's a big target on the kid, because he's bringing over with him something that's very valuable to many men on the roster right now, and, we all saw the challenge that was laid down this Tuesday, I've got news for 'ya Punk, Steve Corino is not the only one that wants a piece of you and maybe a chance to take that title away from 'ya."

Donnie B. - "What you eluded to Mr. Orton about Steve Corino will be recapped in detail later on in the broadcast but right now it's time to go to the ring for our opening contest, tag team action on the way with the Ring of Honor Tag Team Champions the Briscoe Brothers, defending against these men, No Remorse Coprs members Roderick Strong & Davey Richards!"

Cameras cut to a small video montage showcasing Roderick Strong & Davey Richards of the No Remorse Corps set to, in the background, Van Halen's "Running With the Devil".

Video is narrated by Dave Prazak and focuses on Roderick Strong's art of delivering all sorts of backbreakers. A few clips show Strong "Powerbomb-Breakering" Matt Sydal in half dropping Samoa Joe with the "Gibson Driver". A few clips show Strong lighthing up opponents with vicious chops. Davey Richards' part of the 60 seconds clips focuses on Richards tremendous athletecism and tremendous ring shape. His German Suplexes, Kicks & Double Underhook Jumping DDTs filling out the action shots.

Back in the arena.

***5 MINUTES ALONE***

Roderick Strong & Davey Richards make their way to the ring, receiving a mixed reaction from the fans in New York City.

***GIMME BACK MY BULLETS***

*Crowd Erupts*

As the crowd goes into a frenzy, the fans clap to the Briscoes' theme song, while the lights in the arena dim down and start flashing from red, to white, to blue colors. The Brothers make their way out from the back, their heads covered by their hoodies and bandanas, Jay with his strap around his neck, Mark with his around his waist. Before the matchup gets underway, a small video shows how the Briscoes regained the ROH Tag Team Belts at Retaliation from the Age of the Fall.

ROH Tag Team Titles Match
No Remorse Corps (Roderick Strong & Davey Richards) Vs. Briscoe Brothers (Jay & Mark) (c)

This matchup was fast-paced from start to finish with no team really getting any sort of clean cut advantage over the other team. Everybody hit at least one of their big moves during the course of the bout and, at the end, it was sheer anarchy that ushered in the final bell. Mark Briscoe hit Roderick Strong with the "Marking Out" (aka Burning Hammer), then Davey Richards hooked in Mark Briscoe up with the Butterfly Brainbuster Powerbomb and finally, Jay Briscoe hooked Richards up for the Jay Driller (aka Double Underhook Driver) for the pinfall victory @ (9:58)

After the match, all 4 men exchanged handshakes and Rocky Romero came out to help his buddies, Strong & Richards, backstage. From the top of the one of the balconies, the Age of the Fall, Jimmy Jacobs, Tyler Black & Lacey appeared and Jacobs started to adress the Briscoes.

Jimmy Jacobs - "BRISCOES!!! Up here Briscoes... You see, the Age of the Fall has not forgotten about what happened at the Pay-Per-View. We want our titles back Briscoes, but, before we get to that, we want to challenge you to a match this coming Tuesday. We want to challenge you to a Six Person Intergender Tag Team Match, you see, you hurt Lacey at the Pay-Per-View, and I can't stand for that! So, Briscoes, what do you say?!"

Briscoes get handed a microphone and Jay speaks up.

Jay Briscoe - "So, let me get this straight... all we got's to do is find a chick that can take out Lacey?"

Jay looks at his brother, and they nod to each other. Jay hands the microphone over to Mark.

Mark Briscoe - "Alright, you're on, it's time to man up boys!"

***VOICES***

Out from the back comes the vivacious and stunning Rain, Lacey's tag team partner, part of the Minnesota Home Wrecking Crew in SHIMMER & ROH. Everyone looks puzzled by her arrival. She gets in the ring and asks for the Briscoes' microphone. Mark hands it over.

Rain - "Briscoes, before I get to the reason why I'm out here, let me just adress someone first. LACEY! Whatever happened to you! We used to be a team! Now you've turned into some sort of goth chick and you won't even return my calls! Briscoes, I wanna be your partner next week in your match against the Age of the Fall, because Lacey needs to whipped and slapped like the b@tch she's become!"

Jay & Mark look at each other while Lacey & Rain exchange venemous looks towards one another. Jay & Mark nod to one another and throw out the "pound" to Rain. Rain pounds the guys back and points towards Lacey while Jay & Mark taunt the Age of the Fall with the ROH Tag Belts.

Cameras switch to the weekly Tuesday Night Showdown Recap.

The Video shows the events that occured this past Tuesday on the Debut Edition of "Tuesday Night Showdown". the Elite & Muhammad Hassan having their wish granted, of sort, receiving matches in which, if they could win, would secure them a spot in the Super Brawl 8 Men League Challenge. Siaki loses to Sting. Burke loses to Jericho. Hassan loses to Rob Van Dam but, in the Main Event of the evening, Kennedy, with help from his stablemates, Siaki & Burke, is able to upset AJ Styles and steal his spot in the tournament.

Cameras now switch to the backstage interview area, in a makeshift "locker room" with Mean Gene Okerlund standing by alone.

Mean Gene - "Well fans this is the kind of action you can expect to see each and every tuesday night on NBC, and, with what also happened between Steve Corino and the challenge to "ECW" Champion CM Punk, a spot in the big match at Super Brawl has been opened, if I could now, gentlemen, bring you out here..."

Daivari and Muhammad Hassan appear on screen, Hassan standing next to Mean Gene and Daivari standing besides Hassan.

Mean Gene - "... you, Muhammad Hassan, along with two other men, Elijah Burke & AJ Styles will be competing on Tuesday Night Showdown this coming week in, well, what we could call a 2nd Chance 3-Way matchup with the winner clinching the last and final spot in the 8 Men, League Challenge at Super Brawl I, after, you losing to Rob Van Dam this past tuesday, you must be looking forward to such a chance that has come your way..."

Hassan grins and laughs before answering.

Muhammad Hassan - "What we have here is not about how lucky you might think I am... it is about my destiny... my destiny as the most revered athlete in all of sports. And my destiny leads me towards one and only goal... the EWE's World Heavyweight Championship. One step at a time, I will get there, and my destiny will be fulfilled."

Mean Gene - "Well I'm sure that your opponents would have their own doubts about that, but nonetheless..."

Muhammad Hassan - "NO! You listen to me! Elijah Burke! AJ Styles! Your attempts will all but be futile when you try and stop the great... MUHAMMAD HASSANNN!!"

Mean Gene - "Well I thank you gentlemen, Donnie, Cowboy, this matchup will definitely be something to watch next week, back to you."

Cameras switch to the ringside area.

***WORKER BEES***

The SHIMMER portion of the show is set to begin with Nattie Neidhart making her entrance from the back, getting a good ovation from the New York fans. Before the match can begin, Donnie B. gives the people at home and "Cowboy" Bob Orton a little rundown of Nattie's opponent, MsChif, who was already in the ring before Nattie came out. MsChif has worked mainly in SHIMMER but also appeared on quite a few Ring of Honor cards and, behind her rugged look, hides a well versed athlete and all around wrestler.

SHIMMER Singles Match
MsChif Vs. Nattie Neidhart

This match was pretty competitive. MsChif put over Nattie and her pet holds; namely her 2nd Rope Missile Dropkick, Spinning Powerbomb & Sharpshooter submission hold (which was first broken up by MsChif after she had reached the ropes). MsChif was able to hit some nice offense in the form of a Cross Body Block dive to the outside and a nicely executed Standing Moonsault on Nattie during the course of their match. This contest was evenly matched until the very end when MsChif had Nattie in a Reverse DDT position looking for a "Last Rites" kind maneuver. Nattie was able to roll over and quickly hook up MsChif for a Nothern Lights Suplex. Nattie rolled over her opponent and hooked in the Sharpshooter once more, this time for the tapout victory for Nattie Neidhart @ (8:43)

***LYING FROM YOU***

Back at ringside, the music blared off the speakers and, out from the back came the, somewhat, returning Billy Kidman, having last been seen in Florida Championship Wrestling (WWE affiliate), now, apart of the EWE. Kidman received a good ovation, clapping many a fan's hands on his way to the ring.

***WHAT YOU KNOW ABOUT THAT***

The unfamiliar music and stoic silence lets way for a tremendous chorus of boos as, out from the back walks Kidman's opponent, led to the ring by the very busty Ms. Traci Brooks, "the New Showstopper", Michael Shane. While Shane & Brooks were making their way to the ring, a small screen at the bottom right corner of the screen opened for a pre-match interview from Michael Shane, in the makeshift "locker room" interview area.

Michael Shane - "People of the EWE, this is the New Showstopper talking to you, that's right, Michael Shane. Now I know a lot of you people have been mad at myself and Ms. Brooks for carrying out such dirty tactics on the Second City Saints both at the PPV and on TV this past tuesday. But all is not for nothing. A great man by the name of Steve Corino is the one behind this wonderful masterpiece. And soon enough, the Old Schoo Heroes shall take over the EWE and reshape it into the promotion it should be, without clinching on to the past, and without honor. Billy Kidman, you were a tremendous high flyer in your time, but tonight you are nothing more than the first man to go down at the hands of Michael Shane, courtesy of a little Sweet Shane Music!"

Small screen fades away, leaving place for the matchup.

Singles Match
Michael Shane w/ Traci Brooks Vs. Billy Kidman

The matchup itself clearly showed Kidman was a bit rusty and maybe a bit nervous from being on such a grand stage in such a long time. Nonetheless, both wrestlers put on a quick show of skills. Kidman opened this one up with a flurry of offense but soon found himself on the receiving end of a Michael Shane methodical beatdown, slowing down the pace of the match. Kidman was able to mount a comeback but after missing with the Shooting Star Press, Michael Shane was able to capitalize, first hitting Kidman with the Picture Perfect Elbow and then the Sweet Shane Music for the exclamation point @ (4:27)

*** Video promoting Super Brawl I ***

The promotional video cuts to pre-recorded interviews from both Justin Credible, along with Francine, and CM Punk.

The first scene opens up with Justin & Francine sitting in the front rows in an empty Hammerstein Ballroom before the show. Francine holding the singapore cane, while Justing has one of his feet perched on the chair before him, his arm around Francine, black shades on him.

Justin Credible - "Do you remember the last time we were here Punk? Do you?! I sure as hell do... you were making you're hyped up "ECW" debut. And you beat me... hell, it's not what I wanted, but could you imagine the ton of heat that would have fallen on my back if I had laid a beating on you? Neither Shawn nor Hunter could have saved my ass. So I went with it. This time around Punk, nobody's getting ready shoot me in the back if I go against plans, 'cause there are none. It's just a shame you haven't got the balls to put up your "ECW" belt up, because God knows that Justin Credible was and will forever be the best damn ECW Champion there ever was. I guarantee you one thing Punk... this man you see before you will not lay down without a fight... and I'll show you just why they call me Justin Credible."

Credible takes off his glasses and giggling over to him, Francine kisses Justin on the cheek, continuing her sensuous handling on the singapore cane.

Switch sceneries to somewhere in the backstage area, CM Punk wearing his street clothes with a black tuque on, holding his Championship on his shoulder, sitting by a wooden table.

CM Punk - "CM Punk finally makes his singles debut here in the EWE. Justin Credible, I know you're one the many people that are gunning for me because of what I bring with me over here in the EWE. This belt. Well, that's okay, because this is what I've wanted for God knows how long. To be able to be called the best in the world because of two things. Having a World Championship strapped around my waist and getting over each and every challenger that comes my way. And Justin Credible, you're just one of the many that will fall before CM Punk. It's not because I'm drug free, alcohol free, tobacco free, that only makes me who I am, Straight Edge. I will defeat you because I'm just better than you, why, because my name is CM Punk, ECW Champion. And Steve Corino, you better be watching this, because I'm not that little punk kid that used to tackle legends to try and get myself over. I have a name now Corino, and if you want to prove yourself in the latter years of your career against me in my prime, I've got no problem with that, just, don't come whining and bitching like you always do when someone beats you fair and square. I'll see you at the Pay-Per-View, and Justin Credible, I'll see you tonight in the middle of the ring, putting you to sleep or making you tap out, that's just what I do, and I do a damn good job of it."

Cameras switch to the announce booth with Donnie B. & "Ace Cowboy" Bob Orton.

Donnie B. - "Mr. Orton, what a great Main Event we have here in our debut edition of Saturday Night Wrestling, to top off a great show."

"Cowboy" Bob Orton - "You got that right!"

Cameras switch to ringside.

Donnie B. - "And to join us to call this match, we welcome a special guest to the broadcast booth, Mr. Arn Anderson, Mr. Anderson, welcome."

Arn Anderson - "Well thank you, this is going to be a great matchup, there's no doubt about that."

Donnie B. - "Well let's get this ball rolling and let's take it to Bob Artese in the ring."

*DING*

Bob Artese - "Ladies & Gentlemen, this is your night's Main Event! And it is scheduled for a 30 time limit and is a Non-Title Match."

***SNAP YOUR FINGERS, SNAP YOUR NECK***

Justin Credible & Francine make their way to the ring first, not receiving a great ovation, far from that. Justin walks up in front of Francine, looking very confident and focused on him being able to defeat CM Punk. Francine plays to the men in the crowd, holding very provocatively the singapore cane she carries to the ring. Credible rolls under the bottom rope and climbs the ropes to taunt the fans, telling everyone that it's all "right here", using his hands to show everyone he's got everything needed to beat CM Punk.

***MISERIA CANTARE (THE BEGINNING)***

The lights in the Hammerstein Ballroom dim down and holy a white strobe light illuminates the entrance way. The fans clap along to Punk's theme song, something that was first innovated (correct me if I'm wrong) at a Ring of Honor event in 2005 called "The Future Is Now" during CM Punk's actual matchup against Roderick Strong. Punk finally makes his way out from the back, sporting his sports coat and his "ECW" Championship Belt across his shoulder to the sound of the blaring music. Punk receives a great ovation and pumps himself up for what promises to be a grueling matchup. CM Punk makes his way to the ring, looking over at the crowd. Punk throws up a few "X"'s in the crowd before settling into his corner just as his music ends.

Bob Artese - "Ladies & Gentlemen, introducing first, in the corner to my left, accompanied to the ring by the Queen of Extreme, Francine!"

*BOOS*

Bob Artese - "... from Ozone Park, New York, weighing in tonight at 227 lbs., Jussstinnn Crreedibleeeee!"

*BOOS*

Bob Artese - "Ladies & Gentlemen his opponent, from Chicago, Illinois, weighing in tonight at 221 lbs., CM Punkkk!"

*CHEERS*
