The foreign language font was a nice touch yet and refreshing from the usual "speaks in gibberish". Great show.

Thanks for the comment, I had Google translate something for me and that was what came out, but, for some strange reason, it wouldn't translate "Daivari"'s name, so, I couldn't add Daivari's name in there... maybe I should have tried Khoshrow...

ECW Tribute Show Thoughts

The Gang Warfare match was a big clusterfuck with everybody coming out at different times to set up the match. What were Lynn and Kash doing during the match, watching it by ringside? I just found it weird that they didn’t get involved.

The main event did a great job at leading to the eventual first show of EWE. The ending was an inventive combination but I don’t think Burke would be prepared to catch a steel chair flung at him after taking the brunt of Punk’s knee with the GTS. The ending segment was hilarious (Scorpio and Sandman dancing) and touching (Funk’s speech) at the same time.

EWE Retaliation Thoughts

The opening was wonderfully written, very professional; definitely something I’d enjoy seeing to kick the PPV off.

You’re obviously an experienced BTB writer. May I ask where else you have posted? If this is your first thread I’d be shocked because it really seems like you’ve done it before.

Hah, glad you got rid of Daniel’s dreadful face paint. I’m really digging the Ventura and Styles commentary combination. I really like how you’re portraying Ventura as a smart aleck heel.

Tajiri and Daniels’ match ending in a draw was disappointing but it led to good heel heat for Daniels. I’m glad you’re going to continue with a possible feud between the two.

LOL, I didn’t expect Curry Man to come out so soon. Glad to see a clean finish with Tajiri winning. I would’ve liked more dancing from Curry Man though. I bet Daniels will use Curry Man losing as an excuse and he'll get a rematch.

The Psycho Sid promo was meh. It had a lot of spelling mistakes and was pretty generic. I’m not that familiar with him but I think the time could’ve been given to something else.

The women’s tag match was a great wrestling bout. The finish was well thought-out even though the legal women rules were thrown out the window. I could definitely see these four women pulling off such a high caliber match.

I liked Larry Sweeney’s promo. You got his character down pat.

The Raven promo was a little confusing. There were some good lines but overall it felt a little bit contrived and mismatched for a battle royale type of match.

It probably would’ve been better not to have the women’s matches be back to back but it was probably your intention to have the tag match separate the 2 singles matches. There are several spelling mistakes but for the most part I could understand what you were trying to say.

Quote:
Melissa stands up and drops down on her back, using her legs as a springboard to catapult Sara on her back. Both women still holding on to each other's hands. They both try and rolling on their backs but hit each other's knees and fall back on their shoulders. They then roll on their shoulders and back on their backs before both knipping back up their feet still holding each other's hands.
I couldn’t quite understand what you were trying to say here. I liked the spot where Del Ray reversed the top rope hurricanrana into a single leg boston crab. I was expecting a dirty finish but didn’t think Chris Hero would actually put his hands on Melissa. Glad to see Castagnoli out for the save. I’m really hyped about the possibility of Hero and Castagnoli clashing in this thread.

The Corino promo was alright and got his heel persona over. It was short which was good so that it didn’t drag.

I liked Jay’s aggressive start to the match. It made sense based on their heated feud. The double team piledriver was very creative. I'd love to see that move in real life, unless they've actually used it already and I haven't seen it. The finish to the match was amazing. I especially liked Jacobs being drop toe hold into the chair after Jay saved Mark and Tyler Black falling to his feet from one German suplex but then getting hit with the lariat/German combo. It could’ve gone either way but I liked the Briscoes picking up the win, I was expecting the AOTF to escape with the belts still in toll. I’m betting a gimmick match is in the mix for these two teams.

That Dreamer promo was spectacular. It really got me excited for the main event; I felt it did a better job at hyping the main event than Sid’s, Raven’s, or Corino’s.

The Pearce and McGuinness title match was good for what it was. I liked how Pearce was able to regain control over Delirious after he took out Whitmer and Albright. Interesting team of Danielson, McGuinness, and Delirious for the impromptu match. The match had a very fast pace at the beginning with everyone hitting big maneuvers in sequential order. I thought the match was very well written and was great to read with no gaps in action.

The stipulation Danielson has in mind is magnificent. I would love to see it in real life.

Good Times Great Memories wasn’t as funny as I expected it to be. I liked how Colt kept on bringing up being in Chicago even though he clearly wasn’t but I found the James Gang boring in the segment.

I was surprised to see Da Baldies eliminated so early. I forgot the match was double elimination so I guess it was feasible. If I’m not mistaken, isn’t the Cradle Breaker a cradle suplex into a neckbreaker across the knee? How did he do it on the laid out chair?
I liked how the two heel teams squared off with the powder and low blows coming into play. You’re really pushing the Backseat Boyz. I figured the Backseat Boyz were going to be put away sooner or later after winning 3 consecutive falls. BG dancing to the TMNT Vanilla Ice song was completely random but fun. The way the Backseat Boyz got rid of the James Gang put them over as heels big time. I expected the SCS to pull off the win because the Backseat Boyz didn’t really need it seeing as how they had been put over really well during the course of the match so I really wasn’t expecting Acid and Kashmere to pull off the victory. I was shocked to see Tracy interfere but Michael Shane’s interference was what really caught me off guard. I figured Brooks would be all that was needed for Acid & Kashmere.
I would’ve liked to see the T-Gimmick and Dream Sequence come into play for the Backseat Boyz, but I guess I’ll have to wait for another time. I kind of forgot about the concept of earning points so I need to look back at the post you made about that. I'm wondering if Shane's affiliation with the Backseat Boyz will continue or if he's only after the SCS.

The promos leading up to the battle royale were a nice touch.

I liked how you’re resurfacing all of the rivalries during the battle royale.

Quote:
AJ & Samoa exchange Forearm Shots 'till both their faces turn red!
This would make a very good visual.

Corino pushing Sabu into the first row was outstanding. I’ve never seen the ColbyKaze DDT but it sounds devastating. I’m surprised Jericho didn’t do much in the match before getting eliminated other then getting hit by a steel chair shot from Corino earlier on. Hah, Corino got both Sabu and RVD while they were going for a top rope move. I declare a promo from Corino declaring Sabu and RVD as idiots for going for such moves in a battle royale. The battle royale was very entertaining match, it came right down to the wire.

I liked the idea of the board of dignitaries. Hassan and Daivari’s interruption was tremendous. I’m not so sure about giving Siaki the Vince’s bitches gimmick seeing as how he never really made his WWE debut. Sting should be really worn out after lasting until the end of the battle royale. I wouldn’t have minded if you set up the match for the next show instead of making it an impromptu.

The prolonged beatdown of Punk kept all the fresh men in the ring. The triple stinger splash was a nice spot. The finish was well done.

Phenomenal show. Very entertaining for me because I like to watch the Indy's and you had a great mix of talent.

Phenomenal show. Very entertaining for me because I like to watch the Indy's and you had a great mix of talent.
1- I had experience (a very short experience at that) with a BTB here on WF entitled WWE: The New Era... Finally Begins, or something along those lines, I only wrote two shows which were quite small compared to this one, which you could call my third official show.

2- It just came up in my mind as something the BBs would/could actually use in a match. I looked in my mind, and told myself that it was not pushing the enveloppe of reality too much. And no, I've never seen them use this kind of move, but I wish they'd do.

3- I was shocked when, just a couple of days after finishing up this show, I watched the ROH Video Wire and actually heard that Danielson & McGuinness were to face each other the same date I intended them to face in this thread... how weird, but they don't have the gimmick match attached to it, sucks!

4- You're right! I guess I should have wrote the chair was opened up.

5- I was at the TNA Show in Montreal... some fans started a chant directed towards AJ Styles, although he didn't hear them, I had this chant stuck in my head and decided to use it for this segment.

6- I've only seen Corino use it once and, it's basically a Fireman's Carry turned into a Tombstone Piledriver and it can be a very ugly maneuver if the opponent slips midway through the move.

Thank you so much for this awesome review mate, I am writing as we speak the very first tv episode of Tuesday Night Showdown, in a less detailed form (especially for the matches), in trying not to linger too much on the shows that lead up to the PPVs. Unless I'm willing to reconsider such a thing after reviews of that show. One last comment, regarding Siaki's role alongside Burke & Kennedy. I plan on not using his mic skills for a while, to, not have him boast about never actually making it to the big shows. He's kind of like the enforcer of the group, the silent one at that.

"ECW Tribute Show & Retaliation Aftermath!"

I feel dizzy today, but, not because I was out all night partying or drinking, no, because I just can't seem to figure out just how awesome these past 2 nights have been. From being a small kid growing up in Memphis, having spent the last two nights of my life in the famed Hammerstein Ballroom, and being witness to some of the most compelling action I've seen in years, God, I cannot thank him enough for that.

But enough sobbing. You've popped open my blog for one reason and one reason only, to get the dirt on the shows that took place over the course of the weekend. And you'll get it. Here are some tidbit of news from the ECW Tribute Show this past Friday night.

- Contrary to rumors, Raven was indeed laughing the whole time he watched the Blue Meanie & Stevie Richards make their way to the ring...

- Other ECW Alumnists in attendance included the following (who were spotted backstage during the "wrap-up party" "instigated" by the Sandman: Tito Santana, Jimmy Snuka, Kevin Sullivan, Rockin' Rebel, Dean Malenko, Masato Tanaka (who could not compete due to two herniated discs in his lower back), "Pitbull" Gary Wolfe, Tommy Rogers, Shane Douglas (who did not have any altercations with Wolfe nor Francine), Mustafa Saed, Jeff Bradley (aka Dudley Dudley), Tommy Rich, Sid Vicious, Mr. Hughes, Julio Dinero, Sal E. Graziano, Chastity, Amy Dumas & Tammy Sytch.

- Many of the wrestlers pushed Saturn to shoot on his long time partner Kronus, behind Heyman & Gordon's back, who did afterwards, tell Saturn he did the right thing in saying his last goodbyes in front of an ECW crowd.

- Chris Jericho was scheduled to be in the house, but due to family emergencies that kept him one more night at his home in Tampa he couldn't make it. We've been told by a good friend of the family, Dean Malenko, that everything was okay and that Jericho would be in attendance the following night for the PPV and that the family would be flying along with him to New York.

- The opening of the show could have seen a Cyrus intteruption, but, Heyman & Gordon felt Joel Gertner, Cyrus' nemesis, was better suited to part-take in the Dudleys' angle. Cyrus was helping the backstage technical crew all night and a special thanks goes out to Mr. Don Callis for promising to send me a tape of his best matches of all-time! Wonder how long it runs though?

- And last but not least, while at ringside waiting for the battle between Raven & his Flock &, Team Extreme to finish up, Jerry Lynn was heckled by some fans who attempted to garner his attention with chants of "BRING BACK MR. JL!".... Is Eric Bischoff still paying people to do those kind of things... I mean, paying people to throw stuff in the ring is one thing but... don't take credit for the stuff you did not create!

Now then, let's move on to last night's happenings. Here's a quick results run down for the PPV:

- Christopher Daniels w/ Allison Danger Vs. Yoshihiro Tajiri ended in a 10 Minute Time Limit Draw
(The match was restarted and given 5 more minutes when Curry Man accepted the 5 Minute Challenge from Tajiri)
(Tajiri pinned Curry Man at the 14:04 with a Brainbuster Suplex)

- Mickie James & Nattie Neidhart defeated Victoria & Trinity at 20:01 in the 2 out of 3 falls bout
(Mickie & Nattie = 2 falls + Victoria & Trinity = 1 fall)

- Sara Del Rey retains her SHIMMER Championship over Cheerleader Melissa.

- The Briscoe Brothers recapture the Ring of Honor World Tag Team Titles over the Age of the Fall (Jimmy Jacobs & Tyler Black) w/ Lacey at 16:09.
(The Briscoes are now 4 time ROH World Tag Team Champions)

- Nigel McGuinness regains his ROH Championship by DQ over Adam Pearce after interference from Brent Albright & BJ Whitmer (Hangmen 3)
(This match then turned into a 6-Men Tag Team Brawl, Delirious & Bryan Danielson joining McGuinness)
(McGuinness picks up the win after a Tower of London on Whitmer)
(After the match Danielson challenged McGuinness for a match between the two of them at the 6th Year Anniversary Show of Ring of Honor on the 23rd, Challenge was Accepted!)

- The Backseat Boyz walk out of the 4 Team Double Elimination Match the winners after some interference from Michael Shane & Tracy Brooks over the Second City Saints (Cabana & Steel) at 35:48.

- Sid Vicious wins the Battle Royal last eliminating simulatenously Sting & Samoa Joe.
(Here are the 8 Men set to participate in the 8 Men League Challenge at SuperBrawl I = Lance Storm, Chris Jericho, AJ Styles, Rob Van Dam, Steve Corino, Sting, Samoa Joe & Sid Vicious)

- A ceremony was held to honor the legends of the sport and to announce the official EWE Matchmakers (Rick Martel, Larry Zbysko, Arn Anderson & Dusty Rhodes) & the EWE Board of Commissioners (Ricky Steamboat, Ric Flair & Bret Hart).
(The ceremony hosted by Shane McMahon, Tod Gordon & Paul Heyman was interrupted by Muhammad Hassan! & Daivari!)
(CM Punk came out and challenged Hassan to a match right then and there)
(A newly formed group "working" (still, or so it would seem) for Stamford comprised of Mr. Kennedy, Elijah Burke & Sonny Siaki (the Elite) tried to ambush CM Punk)
(Sting, alongside him, AJ Styles & Chris Jericho teamed up besides CM Punk and an impromptu 8 Men Tag Team Match took place)
(Sting scored the win after locking Siaki in the Scorpion Deathlock at 14:01)

Fans, comeback tomorrow on our website to check out my Preview for the first ever "Tuesday Night Showdown" and to learn about other happenings surrounding the EWE. Until then, I'm James Salazar and I still cannot believe Don Callis actually has a "Best of...." Tape out on the market!

"Tuesday Night Showdown Preview" by Paul Lewis

Hello wrestling fans, my name is Paul Lewis, the newest addition to the EWE's official website. My job here will be to post and update you on every upcoming show, I will have your official previews 24 hours before every show.

This week, my first entry will be about the EWE's very first 90 minutes of wrestling action on live television. NBC, in partnership with Mr. Donald J. Trump have agreed to a 2 year contract with the EWE and, every tuesday night at 9 pm eastern time, the EWE will broadcast a live 90 minutes show from different parts of the country, but, calling the Hammerstein Ballroom in New York City their "home". Most of the shows will take place there, but, twice a month, if the EWE is travelling to different cities for PPVs; like it'll be the case in February for the Super Brawl PPV in Baltimore, then, they will shoot their shows live from a venue nearby the actual PPV venue.

The concept of Tuesday Night Showdown is simple. A wrestling show like many others before it. The word "wrestling" being the main focus of the show. Sure, you have your wrestlers' promos and what have yous, but, I would say that close to 75 minutes of the 90 minutes is nothing but wrestling action! Each week, you'll get to see a Ring of Honor Showcase match, and on occasions, these matches might even be for a Ring of Honor Championship. So, here it is, this week's first preview for the first edition of the EWE's "Tuesday Night Showdown"!

The ROH Showcase match this week will pit one of the Vulture Squad's own, Ruckus, alongside him, the notorious Julius Smokes, as he takes on a familiar face for those who watch Ring of Honor or, who've watched the PPV and watched this man for the first time ever, I'm talking about "Scrap Iron" Adam Pearce.

Also, after what happened at the PPV in the 4 Team Double Elimination Match, the Second City Saints have challenged the Backseat Boyz to a "Tables Match". The Backseats have answered the challenge and this matchup will be taking place on Tuesday Night.

A very special announcement concerning the EWE will also be taking place, in the house in New York to make that announcement will be one of the EWE Matchmakers, Arn Anderson. Nobody knows for sure what this announcement will be about, but, sources tell me that it is something very much near, and dear, in many ways, to Arn Anderson's long and illustrious wrestling career!

Not to mention Sid Vicious' decision regarding his win in the 20 Men, $ 20,ooo.oo Over the Top Rope Battle Royal. Plus, the Elite, I'm talking about the trio comprised of Sonny Siaki, Elijah Burke & Mr. Kennedy, will be in New York, also, Muhammad Hassan & Daivari will be there as well and after what happened at "Retaliation" who knows what they'll be up to Tuesday Night, all that, and much more when you tune in to NBC with your hosts Joey Styles & Jesse "the Body" Ventura at 9 PM EST this coming Tuesday for Tuesday Night Showdown!

((EWE Saturday Night Wrestling Taping))

***OPEN FEED***

The opening of "Tuesday Night Showdown" opens up the broadcast, set to Metallica's "Some Kind of Monster", the song slowly begins and shows some of the wrestlers of the EWE posing and making their entrance (footage taped at the PPV). When the song bursts out with the drums, action shots (again footage taped at the PPV) showcase the EWE wrestlers. From Sid Vicious' Chokeslams to Sting's dreaded finishing submission hold, action shots aren't blurred and mixed together in some crazy fashion. They just appear one after the other, somewhat set to TNS' theme song. When the opening ends, after about 30-40 seconds, the EWE & TNS Logos appear on screen, setting on a blurred Hammerstein Ballroom crowd. The TNS logo disappears, and the EWE logo does as well, cameras now showing the Hammerstein Ballroom in all its crazyness. Cameras switch to the perched announce booth, where, their backs to the crowd, Joey Styles & Jesse "the Body" Ventura stand.

Joey Styles - "Welcome fans to the very first edition of the EWE's Tuesday Night Showdown right here on NBC! I'm Joey Styles and besides me, a true Legend of this sport, Jesse "the Body" Ventura."

Jesse Ventura - "The pleasure's all yours Joey Styles."

Joey Styles - "Be that as it may, here tonight on the program, two huge matchups have already been announced. I'm talking of the Ring of Honor Showcase Match, and the Tables Match pitting the Backseat Boyz, Johnny Kashmere & Trent Acid, against the Second City Saints, Colt Caban & Ace Steel!"

Jesse Ventura - "Two huge matchups, and I know you want to hear from the Backseats and what happened at the PPV, but that won't be until later."

Joey Styles - "One thing's for sure, Kashmere & Acid have a lot of explaining to do in my book. But fans..."

***HEART OF THE CITY w/ FLASHING LIGHTS INTRO***

The Elite's music rings out and stops Joey Styles dead in his train of tought. The Elite; Mr. Kennedy, Elijah Burke & Sonny Siaki, receive an "ungrateful" reception in their own eyes, but, a much deserved chorus of boos and jeers in the crowd's view. All three men walk down the small steps leading to the ring and enter it, not paying much attention to the fans. Ring announcer Bob Artese walks over to the ring where Siaki grabs the mic, quite "roughly" away from Artese. Siaki walks to the middle of the ring and hands the microphone to Mr. Kennedy, the apparent leader of this new faction in the EWE.

*Boos & Jeers die down slowly*

Mr. Kennedy - "Don't you people have any respect for greatness?!"

*BOOS*

Mr. Kennedy - "It doesn't matter, because even though we can talk a great game, we will prove ourselves to you all, and to the "boys in the back" by piling win, after win, after win in this very ring."

*BOOS*

Mr. Kennedy - "But tonight, we are here for one thing, and one thing only. We're out here to get what's rightfully ours."

*Burke & Siaki nod, as Crowd Boos*

Mr. Kennedy - "You see, last night, in the "supposed" Main Event of the evening, 8 men qualified for a chance at being crowned the first ever EWE Champion. Out of these 8 men, three of them were lucky that we weren't even booked in that match, or else, we would have taken spots, and, one of us would definitely have won it all. So, the picture's getting clearer, what we want, is our rightful spots in the 8 Men League Challenge at the PPV, and we want someone from the Matchmakers or someone from the Board of Commissioners to come out here right now and grant us our spots, because we are the Elite, and without us, this company, to use a term pretty much everyone here's familiar with, this company would be sleeping with the fishes!"

*Laughing with Burke & Siaki*

Kennedy hands the microphone to Burke.

Elijah Burke - "So, anyone of you old timers better come out here right now if you don't the future of this sport, Elijah Burke, to give you a taste of what it's like to taste these 4 knuckles up your jaw!!"

***WHY DO YOU CALL MY NAME?***

Instead of getting someone from the Matchmakers or the Board of Commissioners, Muhammad Hassan & Daivari make their way out from the back. Again, the New York crowd treats its visitors like, bluntly, dirt. Hassan & Daivari look furious by this reception but walk towards the ring, trying to shake it off. Daivari walks around the ring to the time keeper's table and gets a hold of a microphone. The music in the arena dies down and Daivari speaks up.

Daivari - "الرجل الوحيد الذي يستحق ان بقعة في جامعة التحدي في سوبر مشاجره الأول هو هذا الرجل الحق هنا محمد حسن!"

*BOOS*

Daivari hands the microphone over to Muhammad Hassan, who looks over in the crowd at some fans bad mouthing him from a far.

Muhammad Hassan - "I will not stand for this kind of reception anymore when you have in front of you one of the most revered athletest in the world today!!!"

*BOOS*

Muhammad Hassan - "Now then, I am here for the same reasons as you all are. I deserve a spot at the PPV as much as you do, and I am out here to demand that someone from the EWE comes out here right now and rightfully grants my demand!!"

Kennedy gets the mic from Burke and adresses Hassan.

Mr. Kennedy - "Whoa, whoa, whoa there. You deserve a spot at the PPV? If my memory serves me correctly, your butt was running off to the back at the last PPV while we valiantly tried and win the match for ourselves. The only thing you deserve right here and right now, is a good ol' fashioned beating, courtesy of the Elite."

Hassan & Kennedy come face to face while Daivari tries to restrain Hassan.

***ALSO SPRACH ZARATHRUSTA***

*WHOOOO*

Out from the back steps one of the men that is on the EWE Board of Commissioners, "the Nature Boy" Ric Flair. The first man to get an ovation here tonight is dressed to a tee and stays on the small entrance ramp, microphone in hand to adress the men in the ring.

Ric Flair - "Gentlemen, no one will come to fists right now. You have called someone from the EWE, and here I am. Now we listened to your requests, which are very much so similar, but we cannot grant you spots that you did not earn. However, now don't get flustered up just yet, however, although we cannot grant you spots, you can earn your spots here tonight. Hassan, Siaki, Burke & Kennedy! You'll all be facing one of the 8 men already qualified for the PPV, and if you win your singles match tonight, you're in! I've already selected the men you'll be facing, and everyone agreed, so, without any further ado, Sonny Siaki, you're up first, and here's your opponent, Whooooooo!"

***SEEK & DESTROY (LIVE @ WOODSTOCK '99)***

Flair exits through the curtain, and out from the back comes Sting, baseball bat in hand. Sting points to his fans while stepping down from the small stage. Referee Al Bergeron makes his way behind Sting and runs to the ring, trying to get everyone that is not in the match out of the ring and to the back.

Singles Match
If Siaki wins, he enters the 8 Men League Challenge @ Super Brawl I
Sonny Siaki Vs. Sting

This matchup was a quick one. Sting made his way down to the ring, referee Al Bergeron not far behind him. Sting waited for anyone but Siaki to exit the ring before making his way in. Siaki had the early advantage in this one, jumping Sting while he made his way to the apron. Siaki tried ending this match and hooking in his "Siakilypse Now" (aka Pump Handle Sitdown Tombstone Pilderiver) but Sting rolled over Siaki out of the move and hooked Siaki with the "Scorpion Deathdrop", which he followed by the "Scorpion Deathlock" for, ultimately, the quick win @ (3:16)

***BRING THE NOISE***

We are ready for our Tables Tag Team Match. The Second City Saints, Cabana & Steel, make their way first to the ring. Joey Styles makes mention of the fact that the SCS are usually, part happy-go-lucky, part crazy, but tonight, they're all business and there's no Barry Manilow to lead them to the ring.

***CHASE***

The Backseat Boyz make their way out from the back next. While they come out to the ring, a little screen a bottom left corner of the screen shows Kashmere & Acid speaking out about this matchup.

Johnny Kashmere - "Are you guys crazy? Goofy? Or just plain dumb? Ha ha!"

Trent Acid - "Hold on Kashman, Saints, don't you know that where we come from, tables in a match are like hookers in New York... plenty to go around."

Johnny Kashmere - "You guys are just mad that we made you look like fools..."

Trent Acid - "When we beat you fair & square in the middle of the ring..."

Johnny Kashmere - "And tonight you guys want your revenge..."

Trent Acid - "But only God knows that the Backseat Boyz are unstoppable and we'll send you straight to the nuthouse after this one, and they won't be calling you "Classic" or "Crazy" anymore..."

Johnny Kasmere - "Just plain retarded for challenging us to a Tables Match."

Little screen fades away. While Trent & Johnny walk down the stage and make their way to the ring, Cabana & Steel jump them and the match starts off in the entrance way.

Tag Team Tables Match
Once a member of a team has been eliminated, they must retreat backstage.
the Backseat Boyz (Johnny Kashmere & Trent Acid) Vs. the Second City Saints (Colt Cabana & Ace Steel)

The action scattered through the crowd for the first few minutes before ending back up around ringside and in the ring. Cabana eliminated Johnny Kashmere first by flying from the top rope to the outside, on a prone Kashmere, with a Frog Splash. The Second City Saints seemed "destined" for victory, until Michael Shane & Traci Brooks make their down to ringside just like at the PPV. Only this time, their presence was not illegal. Shane helped distract Cabana & Acid was able to put Ace Steel through a Table that was set up on two chairs; but not open, with a Blue Thunder Bomb. Cabana & Acid fought it out for final minutes of the match, until Shane & Traci tried interfering again. Shane helped set up Cabana on the top rope for Acid to hit the Backseat Driver, but out of the crowd came the Independent God of Professional Wrestling Steve Corino! Wearing his street clothes. Corino seemed on the side of his former friend of the Second City Saints but, turned his back against Cabana in helping Acid put Cabana through a table @ (10:17)

After the match, Corino, Traci, Shane & Acid all beat up on Cabana. Ace Steel came back from the back but so did Johnny Kashmere & the Second City Saints were outnumbered and beaten down pretty badly. Corino got on the stick to speak.

*BOOS*

Steve Corino - "I don't care about some stupid gimmick infringment!! What you have in front of you is a rebirth! We are, the OLD SCHOOL HEROES!!! Michael Shane! The future of this business, a throwback to high risk wrestling, following in the footsteps of his uncle, he is the New Showstopper!!"

*BOOS*

Steve Corino - "The Backseat Boyz!! The best tag team this business has ever seen since the days of the Midnight Express. All that innovative tag team wrestling that was used by the Express has been revamped and perfected to fit the ever so dangerous strong style of wrestling these athletic specimen are known for!!"

*BOOS*

Steve Corino - "And last but not least..."

*SHUT THE F@CK UP! SHUT THE F@CK UP!*

Steve Corino - "I won't shut up for any one of you people!! This is our time! We've been travelling the world for years now, and promoters always find better talent to book ahead of us. BUT NOT ANYMORE!! As true as my nickname's been stolen... I am the Independent God of Professional Wrestling! And no contract, and no promoter will tell me what to do once I hold this microphone in my hands! My name is Steve Corino, and these are my men... and the best manager money can buy! And we are, the OLD, SCHOOL, HEROESSS! And Cabana!! Steel!!
