"News, Notes & Whatever's Left" by Tully Blanchard
Well, another week has come by so fast, and, we are yet again on the aftermath of a huge announcement here at the EWE, in the form of the official "Retaliation" Card.
Let me first start off by saying kudos to the people at the EWE that put this card together. You not only put forth the best of your talent roster, but, at the same time, put on 3 matches to showcase the future of tomorrow. I'm talking of course of the three title matches involving the ROH Tag Team, SHIMMER & ROH Championships.
By agreeing to exchange talent between one another is something that has been done before. But, to, thank the promotions you are exchanging talent with to actually give you a bigger platform to perform on is something that is very few and rare between. I'm sure that the men and women involved in these "Showcase" & Title matches will put on quite a show on the 26th, but not only that, I think that these matches will open the eyes of many wrestling fans to these promotions that have been getting recognition on smaller bases.
As for the rest of the card, what do you want me to say? Who would have ever thaught they would ever see Christopher Daniels take on Yoshihiro Tajiri? Who would have ever thaught they would see legends and future legends such as Sting, Sid Vicious, Chris Jericho & AJ Styles in a ring at the very same time? There's nothing more I think I can say, other than maybe call your local cable company provider and get this PPV, need I remind you you only have to pay $ 15 to watch it!
Now, there is another event of bigger than life proportions that is coming up quite shortly. I am talking of the WCW Tribute Show this coming Monday in Atlanta, GA at the Omni. Since I will not be able to talk to you since then, I will post my predicitions for this once in a lifetime event right here and right now... why? Because I just feel like going over the matches and telling you, the fans of the game, who I think, myself having been in many, many wars with many of these men, who will get the upper hand in each of these classic matches. So let's go!
MAIN EVENT
Masahiro Chono & the Great Muta Vs. Sting & ???
Tully's Pick = For having fought Sting many times before, his comeback, thus far, has been a tremendous one at that. Whomever he decides to pick as his partner, it won't matter, as good as Chono & Muta are, I predict the team of the Stinger will come up victorious in the end.
STEINER BROS. V. HARLEM HEAT
Rick & Scott Steiner Vs. Stevie Ray & Booker T.
Tully's Pick = My pick has to be the Steiner Brothers in this one. Stevie Ray has been away from the ring for a very long time, I don't know if the chemistry between he and his brother will still be there when it's go time, no matter how tough the Harlem Heat really are.
Shawn Stasiak Vs. the Patriot
Tully's Pick = The Patriot is coming out of near retirement for this one night only battle against Shawn Stasiak. But he's not fighthing a gimmick, he's going to fight the son of former World Champion Stan "the Man" Stasiak, Shawn has a lot to prove to the wrestling community, and he's going to prove it this Monday night in Atlanta.
Vader Vs. Dustin Rhodes
Tully's Pick = I am sure of one thing in this matchup, Dustin Rhodes' heart will be pumping with passion. I don't know which way this one will go to be honest, but I give my nod to Dustin.
NASTY BOYS V. AMAZING FRENCH CANADIANS
Brian Knobbs & Jerry Saggs Vs. Pierre-Carl Ouellette & Jacques Rougeau Jr.
Tully's Pick = The Nastys against the French. I have received many e-mails from fans coming all the way from Canada to Atlanta to see their two representatives but, I don't know if the support from fellow Canadians will stop the Nasty Boys come Monday, my pick goes to Knobbs & Saggs.
TEAM MADNESS V. OUTSIDERS
ANYTHING GOES
Sid Vicious & Randy "Macho Man" Savage Vs. Kevin Nash & Scott Hall
Tully's Pick = This one will sure be interesting. Like I've wrote before, I said this would be all to Sid's advantage if he can take control of this match and show his dominance rolling along towards the "Retaliation" PPV, but, in the end, teamwork will be what determines who wins this match, and the nod goes to the Outsiders for that.
Disco Inferno Vs. Buff Bagwell
Tully's Pick = These two have faced many, many times before, and Bagwell has won many, many times before over "Disco", but, I think we might be surprised to find out that the Disco Inferno will be more than dancing on Monday, I believe he'll be winning.
Ultimo Dragon Vs. Jushin "Thunder" Liger
Tully's Pick = No matter who wins, we'll be witness to a classic bout. These two icons of Japanese wrestling have not faced each other a whole lot through their long and illustrious careers. I can't pick a winner, but, I'm going to pick Jushin Liger out of a coin tossup. One thing's for sure though, the fans are going to be winners in this one.
4-WAY DANCE
Lenny Lane & Lodi Vs. Evan Karagias & Shannon Moore Vs. La Parka & Juventud Guerrera Vs. Billy Kidman & "Sugar" Shane Helms
Tully's Pick = This match will also be a tossup in my mind, only two real teams are booked here, Lane & Lodi &, Karagias & Moore, the latter are my pick in this one, I don't feel makeshift teams have chances in this wild affair, I guess we'll see if I'm right when the bell rings.
Alex Wright Vs. Norman Smiley
Tully's Pick = Folks, strap on tight, this one will be all about European Style wrestling. It's maybe not a favorite style to many of you, but, when you sit at ringside or in the bleachers, or when you are home, just, take a deep breath and look at these men perform magic in front of your eyes, 'cause they are very much capable of that, my vote goes to Alex Wright in this one.
PINFALLS COUNT ANYWHERE
Vampiro Vs. Diamond Dallas Page
Tully's Pick = This one will be a wild one, in the end, Vampiro will walk away with hands raised high in the air. Page might have participated in matches as painful as those before, but, Vampiro was born in that environment, the advantage goes to him.
NATURAL BORN THRILLERS V. MAMALUKES
HOT-LANTA STREET FIGHT
Sean O'Haire & Mark Jindrak Vs. Big Vito & Johnny "the Bull" Stamboli
Tully's Pick = Warning folks, when you arrive at the arena, look out behind you, these two team might start the fight before the show even begins, and it might even start in the crowd. Although the italians are rough and tough guys, the taller and more athletic O'Haire & Jindrak need to do only one thing to win this match, take the weapons away from the Mamalukes and wrestle. They're my pick.
So, there you have it, my picks for this Monday's WCW Tribute Show. I will be there live, so don't be shy to come and give your support to yours truly. I will be back next week with a report of my own on this historic show, as well, as give you my predictions for the ECW Tribute Show & the Retaliation PPV in a double dosed edition of my weekly blog, until next time, God Bless.

"SOLD OUT! SOLD OUT & SOLD OUT!"
Just a couple of hours ago, around 7 o'clock pm (ET), I received an inquiry from the EWE Offices and I had to open up my laptop immediately to write into my blog. We have received confirmation from the Omni in Atlanta & the Hammerstein Ballroom in New York City that all three shows; the WCW Tribute Show on the 21st (this Monday), the ECW Tribute Show (the 25th) & EWE's 1st PPV, "Retaliation" (the 26th), have all been sold out! No tickets are left whatsoever! We want to thank you fans for promoting pro wrestling the way it should be by buying tickets to go to the shows and encouraging the athletes that'll be performing for you those three nights.
Some notes concerning the two Tribute Shows have also been Made available by the EWE Offices. Camera crews will be there live for both dates, ready to immortalize the action that'll take place on the 21st & 25th. The action will then be put on DVD and when the time comes, we'll have more info on when and where you'll be able to get a hold of these legendary events if you couldn't be there live or if you just want to relive those great moments yet again!
Also, we received news concerning the PPV next Saturday concerning two of the matches that will be taking place there. First, in the 4 Team Double Elimination Challenge Match, the winners of that match will be able to bank in 2 points that they'll use for the 4 Team League Challenge to Crown the first ever EWE Tag Team Champions at "Super Brawl I", the EWE's second PPV. So the winning team will have a huge advantage on all the others going into "Super Brawl I". So, this also means the 4 teams competing at "Retaliation" will be competing at "Super Brawl I" for the Tag Team Titles. (Unless injuries stop one or many of these teams to appear and compete on the 23rd of February in Baltimore, MD)
Next tidbit of news is concerning the Battle Royal. Not only will the winner of the Battle Royal walk away with twenty thousand dollars cash, but, they could also exchange that money for 2 points in the 8 Men League Challenge at "Super Brawl I" to get a head start on the competition. Depending on who wins, we'll either see someone get greedy, or think of the EWE Championship and think about his pride first. Also, the Battle Royal will determine just who the 8 Men at "Super Brawl I" will be in the League Challenge. A lot of things are at stakes in this match, and with the great talent roster participating in this event, the stakes can't get much higher than this.
This is all for yours truly, it's Saturday Night now, so it means I'm stuck home again, ready to watch the Best of Bret Hart DVD yet again, I'm James Salazar, have a safe one!

"WCW Tribute Show Results!"
James Salazar here, just hours after the WCW Tribute Show in Atlanta, GA, writing to you on my way back to New York City for the two huge weekend shows, here is my recap, more news & notes on the event will be available in the following days and we'll keep you posted on everything that you need to know.
(Official Results, posted by James Salazar)
The packed Omni welcomes ring announcer for the night David Penzer, who's standing in the middle of the ring. Penzer welcomes everyone to the show, and suddenly, a fight spills out in the front row. No! It's the 1st match of the night already starting between the Natural Born Thrillers & the Mamalukes, the Hot-Lanta Street Fight!
Hot-Lanta Street Fight: The Mamalukes (Big Vito & Johnny "the Bull" Stamboli) were defeated by the Natural Born Thrillers (Sean O'Haire & Mark Jindrak) after Sean O'Haire delivered a Reverse Death Valley Driver through a perched table in the corner on Stamboli at 9:03.
Pinfalls Count Anywhere: DDP received a great ovation from the crowd, as did Vampiro. The match spilled everywhere during this all out war, but ended finishing up in the ring when Vampiro hit the "Nail In the Coffin" on Dallas Page onto a Steel Chair at 8:05.
After the match, Stacy Keibler made a suprise appearance to everyone's delight. Stacy talked about her days in WCW, and told everyone that she would give everyone here tonight a little taste of what made her famous in WCW. She then called out the "Nitro Girls"! (Chae, Spice, AC Jazz & Fyre) and they all did a little number to the fans' delight.
Wright V. Smiley: This match was a mat classic in its own right. The first 5 minutes were all about techincal wrestling, and then, they opened their game up a bit to try and finish off their opponent. Alex Wright picked up the win, in a match that saw Alex dancing & Norman wigglin', after a German Suplex with a Bridge at 11:33.
4-Way Dance: The next match quite simply stole the show, at least thus far. The team of Billy Kidman & Shane Helms came out victorious after taking care of Evan Karagias & Shannon Moore at 22:05, when Helms & Kidman finished off Moore with a "Vertebreaker" / "Shooting Star Press" combination finisher. Lenny Lane & Lodi were the first team to be eliminated courtesy of Kidman & Helms after Kidman pinned Lane after a "BK Bomb" from the top rope. And, La Parka & Juventud Guerrera were taken out thanks to Karagias & Moore when Karagias nailed Juvi with a Springboard Swanton Bomb. This matchup also included a sick stereo Sommersault/Shooting Star Press from Helms & Kidman respectively on all of the 6 men outside of the ring.
Before the next matchup, Japanese dignataries and wrestling legends Antonio Inoki & Kensuke Sasaki made surprise appearances and were "guests of honor" sitting at ringside for the upcoming match, they received a pretty good ovation from the crowd.
Dragon V. Liger: This matchup had no winner in a full 35 minutes contest. These two showcased what exactly made them legends both in Japan, Mexico & the United States over the years. Neither could the Liger Bomb nor the Dragon Sleeper stop either men, and after 30 minutes, when both men were down on the mat, after Liger delivered a Super DDT off the top rope onto the Ultimo Dragon. The crowd wanted 5 more minutes of action and it was decided between Inoki, Sasaki, Dragon & Liger that they do indeed wrestle for 5 more minutes. It didn't change anything. Dragon reversed Liger's Running Liger Bomb with a Pinning Hurrancanrana but couldn't put Liger away. Ultimo Dragon was about to end the bout with the Dragon Sleeper, but Liger managed himself back to his feet and reversed the submission hold into one of his own, the move dubbed "Six Seconds Magic", but the bell rang before Dragon could decide to tap out, and neither men was named victorious after this classic. Both men received a heart-warming ovation and shook hands in the middle of the ring while Sasaki & Inoki were applauding them.
During the small 5 minutes intermission, David Penzer announced to the crowd that the Savage/Sid V. Outsiders matchup was to be cancelled because of the "Macho Man"'s no show here tonight, which sent the crowd into a chorus of boos.
Disco V. Bagwell: The opening contest of the second portion of this show was a quick one at that. Disco jumped Bagwell before the bell rang and Bagwell & Disco did all their past match's spots, giving a quick matchup, yet, an entertaining one at that, ending this one after Bagwell reversed the Disco Inferno's "La Macarena" Piledriver, and then running towards the corner to deliver his famed "Buff Blockbuster" for the quick win in this intense matchup at 4:00.
After the match, Kevin Nash & Scott Hall made their way to the ring, Nash wearing his ring gear, but wearing a black "nWo" shirt. Scott Hall looks ready to go, dressed with his usual wrestling attire and wrestling vest, sporting the black & white colors of the "nWo". Nash & Hall say they came here for a fight no matter what, so, if Sid's listening, he should come out here and take on Hall for these people's sake. Sid's music hits and he makes his way to the ring and it looks like we are going to have a match.
Hall V. Sid: It's not much of a match. Nash & Hall double team Sid until the Big Show aka the Giant makes a run in and sends Nash to the back. It's now down to Sid & Hall. Sid makes short work of Hall. A Big Boot sends Hall to the outside. Sid sets up a table and then brings Hall back to the apron, where he then Chokeslams Hall from and to, crashing through the table is Hall. There was never any bell, but Sid walks out of tonight's Show his hands raised in the air.
Nasty Boys V. Amazing French Canadians: The Nastys where out of their element in this tag team matchup that didn't involve weapons, and were not able to keep the two "wrestlers" off their game with underhanded tactics. Many people were surprised at just how much in shape both Rougeau & Ouellette were after all these years, especially "PCO". The match ended when Pierre-Carl & Jacques hit Saggs with their patended "Cannonball" Finishing Maneuver getting the pinfall victory at 5:19.
Vader V. Rhodes: Dustin was beaten on in the early stages of this battle, until he could mount a comeback, but it wasn't enough to put the Colorado Grizzly Bear down. Vader won this match after a "Vader Bomb" on Dustin Rhodes at 9:09.
Stasiak V. Patriot: A quick yet good contest between the two well built wrestlers. Stasiak was able to ground and over power the Patriot in the early stages of the match, but Stasiak couldn't put his adversary down after hitting him with a Fisherman' Suplex. A missed Superplex followed by a "Patriot Missile" turned the match in the Patriot's favor. A huge Lariat followed by the "Uncle Slam" gave the Patriot the duke at 6:25.
Steiners V. Harlem Heat: The Steiners came out to the ring with former manager Ted DiBiase. Harlem Heat came out to maybe the biggest pop of the night yet. Before the match could begin, all 5 men ackowledged the passing of former Harlem Heat manager Sherri Martel. Booker stated that Sherri helped make them the best team in WCW at the time, no disrespect to the Steiners. They had a ten bell salute in her memory before officialy beginning the match. The arena was filled with emotion as Scott & Stevie Ray began this match as was customary in the past. In the end, after suplexes & harlem kicks galore, it was Harlem Heat who came out victorious in this classic tag team bout when Stevie Ray hit Scott Steiner with the "Slapjack" modified pedigree for the pinfall victory at 20:00. All 5 men then exchanged hand shakes after the match, while the crowd showered them with a well deserved ovation.
Before the next match could get underway, David Penzer introduced to the crowd the legendary Ricky "the Dragon" Steamboat. Ricky said that he was glad of the warm welcome he had just received. He also said that he wasn't here just to talk, but, *while getting rid of his jacket* to be the referee for the main event, which the fans approved of. Sting then came out, and after shaking Steamboat's hand, took hold of the microphone. He was getting ready to introduce his partner for the night, his greatest rival in his NWA/WCW career... All of a sudden, out from the entrance came the Great Muta, all dressed in black, his face painted all in black & white. He mimicked to Sting that he was going to "end" him, and then, following Muta, was Masahiro Chono, carrying someone on his back. Chono dropped down the man he was carrying and it was .... "Nature Boy" Ric Flair, face all bloodied, shirt ripped apart. While Muta & Chono made their way to the ring, paramedics came out from the back to attend to Flair. Muta & Chono were about to jump start this match and make it a handicap match until an explosion from the entrance way came off and the lights in the arena dimmed down. Coming out of the entrance way was.... CHRIS JERICHO!! Jericho ran towards the ring and stood next to Sting, Steamboat signaled for the bell to ring and our Main Event was underway.
Chono/Muta V. Sting/Jericho: This match had everything in it. A brawl in the crowd, some great high-flying action, some mat wrestling, and high impact moves. In the end, while Chono had been throwed to the outside, Jericho & Sting double teamed Muta. Jericho hit Muta with his newest finishing maneuver, the "Codebreaker" (Or so it was dubbed in short tenure back in Stamford) and then Jericho then launched himself, doing a springboard on the inside second turnbuckle to the outside on Chono while Sting applied the Scorpion Deathlock on Muta for the tapout win at 21:26.
After the match, all the wrestlers and legends came out from the back and Sting adressed the fans, thanking them for making this dream a reality, and, he also wanted to take this opportunity to ask everyone to bow down their heads for a couple of minutes in memory of those fellow co-workers we lost over the past couple of years, which the crowd did. Sting thanked everyone afterwards and slowly but surely, every wrestler moved to the back, ending this memorable event.

Re: EWE (Extreme Wrestling Entertainment) by LegendofBaseball
EWE_Pro_Wrestling.Com (01/24/08)
"News, Notes & Whatever's Left" by Tully Blanchard
Hi folks, I'm here, early thursday morning, about getting ready to walk out of my San Antonio home to catch yet another plane ride this week, this time, to New York City, the Big Apple, for the huge double night of action the EWE and its partners are putting together. First tomorrow night the ECW Tribute Show, and, then, Saturday Afternoon, the first EWE Pay-Per-View, "Retaliation".
I want to first talk about the WCW Tribute Show that took place on Monday. For many of the people that were there, you'll have to agree with me when I say that it was something special to see all of these wrestlers go at it one more time under the bright lights and under the umbrella of "World Championship Wrestling". And I was also glad that many of you fans took the time to join us all as we not only celebrated the fallen company, but really, the wrestlers who made it so notorious over the years, whether it was during the NWA or WCW days, all the people that were there on Monday night had something to do with the popularity and the sucess of the promotion throughout the years. Many of these "pionneers" so to speak have left us too early in their lives, but, that night was for them to celebrate what they had done in their careers and for everybody that was there, whether you were selling t-shirts or watching the show or wrestling, I have to give a big thanks to you all for making that night a memorable one for me and many others that were involved in its creation and I'm talking about the main architect of the show, a man that I will share this entry with today, I have named the "American Dream" Dusty Rhodes.
Now, before I pass it over to my good friend Dusty, I want to go over all of the matches that will be taking place at Retaliation with my second dose of what will be a monthly thing in my weekly blogs, "Tully's Picks". So, here is my take on the 7 matches set to take place at this Saturday's huge PPV event, "Retaliation":
DREAM MATCH
Christopher Daniels V. Yoshihiro Tajiri
Tully's Pick = My pick in this "dream" match of sorts, is Christopher Daniels. And here's why. This man has traveled and battled many of Japan's top stars over his long career, Tajiri on the other hand, has worked long periods of time in the United States, but, as much as he did work in the US for, Daniels will be more accustomed to Tajiri's style than Tajiri will be to Daniels' style, because never has Tajiri faced anyone like Daniels.
WOMEN'S 2 OUT OF 3 FALLS TAG TEAM MATCH
Victoria & Trinity V. Mickie James & Nattie Neidhart
Tully's Pick = Neither of these two teams of female wrestlers are accustomed to tagging with each other. I know what it takes to be a sucessful tag team wrestler and on this night, although the experience definitely has to go to the team of Victoria & Trinity, in the end, maybe their female egos will clash and open the door for Mickie James & Nattie Neidhart to pick up the win. They're my pick.
SHIMMER CHAMPIONSHIP MATCH
Cheerleader Melissa (Challenger) V. Sara Del Ray (Champion)Tully's Pick = This match will be of utter importance for the SHIMMER promotion. This will be the grandest stage these two female wrestlers will ever be on and it is a make or break moment for one of these two women. We could witness some sort of upset as the SHIMMER Championship could change hands on a non-SHIMMER show, and I would definitely like to see it happening, so my pick is Cheerleader Melissa, she's well traveled and she'll definitely give the champion a run for her money.
ROH TAG TEAM CHAMPIONSHIP MATCH
The Age Of the Fall, Tyler Black & Jimmy Jacobs (Champions) V. The Briscoes, Jay & Mark (Challengers)
Tully's Pick = The hottest tag team feud in Ring Of Honor walks straight into the EWE's first ever show and on PPV with what promises to be a wild affair. Maybe even a bit too wild for this match to end cleanly. But still, in my mind, there are no other team as good as the Briscoes right now in wrestling, all promotions put together. They'll show just why on Saturday at the Hammerstein Ballroom. They'll regain the belts and that's a guarantee on my part.
ROH CHAMPIONSHIP MATCH
Adam Pearce (Challenger) V. Nigel McGuinness (Champion)
Tully's Pick = The British McGuinness has been on an upstart rise ever since he won his first belt in ROH. Adam Pearce will be a great challenger on this showcase match for the ROH Championship, but, McGuinness has come too far to just lose on Saturday, Nigel's my pick for this matchup.
4 TEAM DOUBLE ELIMINATION TAG TEAM CHALLENGE MATCH
Da Baldies, Angel & Devito V. The Backseat Boyz, Johnny Kashmere & Trent Acid V. The Second City Saints, Colt Cabana & Ace Steel V. The James Gang, Kip & BG
Tully's Pick = This one is probably going to be my favorite match of the night. You'll have 4 tag teams just sweating it out until one remains victorious. It'll take one of these teams intelligence, dedication, luck and courage to last this long. But maybe, also, it'll take one team's under handed tactics to slip by a few obstacles, so my pick goes to the no nonsense reuniting duo of Angel & Devito. Their rugedness might throw all other three teams off.
MAIN EVENT
20 MEN, $ 20,000.00 OVER-THE-TOP ROPE BATTLE ROYAL
Featuring: 2 Cold Scorpio, AJ Styles, Buff Bagwell, Chris Jericho, Jerry Lynn, Justin Credible, Kid Kash, Lance Storm, Michael Shane, Raven, Rob Van Dam, Sabu, Samoa Joe, Scotty Anton, Sean Waltman, Sid Vicious, Steve Corino, Sting, Tommy Dreamer & Vampiro
Tully's Pick = This one's hard even for me to pick out. I mean, it's a coin toss. But, since this is what I'm paid to do, then here's who it wouldn't surprise me would win this match. For all the former World Champions participating in this event, my pick, as wicked as it may seem, is going to be... Tommy Dreamer! I don't know, I just have a hunch that tells me that the tribute show on Friday night will reignite a fire under that extreme man's keister and he has as much a chance as anyone else in this match of winning all the marbles.
I want to now give my proper introductions to the man that will be taking over from here on end for one "blog entry" only, as he, unlike myself, had great memories of his time in ECW. Don't get me wrong, I loved wrestling Shane Douglas for a 45 minute classic, but, the Philadelphia crowd didn't particularly enjoy themselves and well, I still don't know why today. So, here he is, the American Dream, Dusty Rhodes, with his picks for the ECW Tribute Show.
Hello to all the wrestling fans out there reading this, it is the American Dream, Dusty Rhodes, here writing to you for a very special occasion. Now, before I proceed with the subject at hand, I just wanna say that I had a great time in Atlanta along with all the great people that took part in the wonderful Tribute Show for the WCW.
Now, coming up in just a few hours, live from the Big Apple baby, in New York Cit-ay! The Hammerstein Ballroom, ECW Tribute Show. Now I was fortunate enough to be a part of the ECW roster for a very short period of time, and I have nothing but great memories of my time there, and I'll be there live tomorrow night to celebrate with all of the people that have given their blood, their sweat and their tears for the ECW roster over the years. And here now, what I wanna do, is go over the card that has been announced for tomorrow night, and give you my picks on whom I think you should look forward to winning and losing.
MAIN EVENT
Justin Credible & Lance Storm w/ Francine & Dawn Marie Vs. Sabu & Rob Van Dam w/ Bill Alfonso
Dream's Pick = Sabu & RVD. Although they were enemies once, as were the Credible & Storm team, when put in the "ECW" environment nobody performs better than these two.
4-WAY DANCE
Angel & Devito Vs. Christian York & Joey Matthews Vs. Nova & Chris Chetti Vs. Roadkill & Danny Doring
Dream's Pick = Roadkill & Doring. They were the last tag team championship combination of the company and got a lot to prove.
Scotty Anton Vs. Perry Saturn
Dream's Pick = Saturn. If Saturn can hit one of his pet holds, than Scotty Anton doesn't have much a chance to beat Saturn.
"the Independent God of Professional Wrestling" Steve Corino Vs. Scorpio
Dream's Pick = Scorpio. If Scorpio is able to fly around, Corino won't be able to ground him, therefore, he'll lose.
6-MEN TAG TEAM MATCH
Raven & the bWo Vs. New Jack, the Sandman & Tommy Dreamer
Dream's Pick = New Jack, Sandman & Dreamer. The ultra-violent trio will pick a part the less agressive team of Raven, Richards and the Blue Meanie. The only chance Raven has is to find new partners.
Kid Ka$h Vs. Jerry Lynn
Dream's Pick = Lynn. The two veterans will go at it like there's no tomorrow, but the older lion will overcome the younger tiger.
3-Way Dance
Yoshihiro Tajiri Vs. Super Crazy Vs. Psicosis
Dream's Pick = Tajiri. The swift kicks and the dreadful "Green Mist" will be the downfall of the two Mexican Luchadores.
Simon Diamond & Johnny Swinger Vs. Balls Mahoney & Spike Dudley
Dream's Pick = Mahoney & Spike. The man with a chair and the little one are going to rip through the team of Diamond & Swinger because anything goes and that is how Mahoney & Spike like it.
6-MEN GANG WARFARE
FULL BLOODED ITALIANS V. KAIENTAI
Tracey Smothers, Little Guido Maritato & Tony Mamaluke Vs. Taka Michinoku, Dick Togo & Terry Boy
Dream's Pick = Michinoku, Togo & Terry Boy. Anyone that wants to mold themselves after Terry Funk gets a lot of respect from me because it shows me that the man knows who came before him. And, Japanese wrestlers are much tougher from the experiences I've been accustomed to overseas.
EZ Money Vs. Al Snow
Dream's Pick = Snow. If the Head gets involved, Al Snow will walk away with a win on Friday Night.
Thank you Dusty for giving the fans that read my blog each and every week a great detailed rundown of the ECW Tribute Show, and fans, if you come to the shows, try and catch us before or after the show, as we'll be lurking around the building taking part in these history making events. For now, this has been yours truly, Tully Blanchard, this week joined by the American Dream Dusty Rhodes, and I'll see you in 7 days, God Bless.

Re: EWE (Extreme Wrestling Entertainment) by LegendofBaseball
I truly believe you have one of the best BTB’s going on right now.
Your blog style is leaps and bounds original. You really do seem to know all types of wrestling from WCW to ECW to the Indy’s.
The WCW Tribute Show was brilliantly well written and touching.
I loved some of the angles you pulled off such as how Chono and Muta took out Flair before the match allowing Jericho the opportunity to insert himself into the match.
Dragon .vs. Liger would’ve been one heck of a match to see in person.
Not only was it realistic to add a Macho Man no-show but it was flat out hilarious.
I loved how the show was written and I can’t wait to see what else you have in store. I enjoyed reading the quick results style but I assume you are going to get into more detail starting with the Retaliation PPV. You’re going to be a breakout star in BTB if you keep this going.
Your predictions column is excellent. It works as a good way at building up the event. I’ll definitely be looking forward to the ECW tribute show and Retaliation.

Re: EWE (Extreme Wrestling Entertainment) by LegendofBaseball
I always look forward to your feedback and thank you for sticking to my BTB so much.
I am going to post a few more blog updates, (I believe 2 if my memory serves me correct) before I post the PPV. I am about say, 99 % done there and I'm just adding some finishing touches to my writting, trying and get most the spelling mistakes out of therer although it is quite hard with such a long show.
The quick results style will only be of use (apart from these tribute shows) for my tv shows, but PPVs will be full-lenght writings. (p.s. I will have two very different tv shows in store for the EWE and one will be a bit more detailed, the other less, but, that'll be explained in detail when time does come to unveil them.) This is mainly because writing a total of 2 full-lenght shows each week would make the BTB wander around and it would make myself lose interest in my own writting.
Anyhow, I hope you enjoy the first official show, and, the ECW Tribute show results will be posted later on today or tonight. Thanks.

"ECW Tribute Show Results"
This is James Salazar, writing to you from my comfortable yet small New York City hotel room, mere hours after the last bell at the Hammerstein Ballroom rang. ECW Tribute shows have been done before, but the energy and the sheer passion that was brought out tonight was out of this world. Here at the EWE, we want to thank everyone from the two Scottish brothers I met from the faithful crowd members from the old ECW Arena fans for making this show what it was, now's time for those of you that were not there or could not attend the event to relive it, in a way, through these results I bring to you. This, is Extreme!
- Before the show officialy started, Joey Styles made is way down to the ring and welcomed everyone to tonight's show. He then turned the microphone over to ring announcer Bob Artese who then officialy started the show.
- Al Snow defeated EZ Money with the help of the Head at 3:00.
- Kaientai DX (Taka Michinoku, Dick Togo & Terry Boy) defeated the FBI (Tracey Smothers, Little Guido Maritato & Tony Mamaluke with Trinity) when Taka hit Mamaluke with the Michinoku Driver, which was followed by a Terry Boy Moonsault & a Dick Togo Senton Bomb for the pinfall victory at 9:20.
- Balls Mahoney & Spike Dudley defeated Simon Diamond & Swinger when Spike hit Swinger with the Dudley Dog and then received a wicked Steel Chair Shot from Balls Mahoney for the pinfall victory.
- Tajiri defeated Super Crazy & Psicosis in the 3-Way Dance match after hitting Crazy with the Buzzaw Kick at 20:01. Psicosis was eliminated by Crazy after a trifecta of Moonsaults at 15:02.
- Before the next match could start off (Jerry Lynn V. Kid Kash), the BWO stormed the ring (minus Nova but with Raven tagging along in the background, looking miserable as always). "Big Stevie Cool" said that they had just three words for everyone "We're taking OVER!". The combined efforts of the "Blue Guy", Richards & Raven proved to be too much for Lynn & Kash, until the Sandman & Tommy Dreamer stormed the ring. Raven exited the ring, letting his cohorts take the beatin' for him. That was until "Killdozer" Brian Lee made a surprise appearance and took down Dreamer & Sandman with a steel chair. The BWO, Raven & Lee ganged on Dreamer & Sandman, while also sending Lynn & Kash back to the outside. Suddenly, the lights in the Hammerstein Ballroom turned off, and red & white flashes lit up the place as "Natural Born Killas" blasted off the PA System and New Jack made his way to the ring, coming from the balconys. The 6-Men Gang Warfare match gets underway, "Team Extreme" being one man down.
- New Jack, The Sandman & Tommy Dreamer beat Raven, Brian Lee, the Blue Meanie & Stevie Richards when Terry Funk "ran" out from the back and DDT'ed Raven on a steel chair, pinning him for the 1-2-3 pinfall victory in a gruesome and bloody brawl that ended at 9:38.
- The Jerry Lynn Vs. Kid Kash matchup took place immediately afterwards. The two high-flyer, hard-hitting veterans gived the crowd all they had, but in the end, Jerry Lynn was able to put away Kash after his famous Cradle Piledriver at 15:2o.
- Next up, it was Steve Corino to take on Scorpio in a battle of NOAH competitors going at it in a good old fashioned Strong Style matchup that the fans ate up and respected both men for. Although Corino got in a few arguments with the New York Crowd over the course of the opening minutes of the match. In the middle of the match, Corino's long time tag team partner, the now retired CW Anderson made his way to the ring, wearing his street clothes, to be in Corino's corner. After a long battle on the mat between the two men that went back in forth all the way through the very end, even CW couldn't stop Scorpio from taking to the air and hitting Corino with the Scorpio Splas | |
