Re: EWE (Extreme Wrestling Entertainment) by LegendofBaseball
Backstory was very well written. I like your style of using website updates. As for the roster I'm very happy with the signings of the SCS, Neidhart and Matt Sydal. Maybe TJ Wilson will be picked up as well? I have a very good feeling Guido and Super Crazy will be extremely better off in EWE. I could definately see this BTB becoming a headliner if you keep it going. I like your choice of talent and can't wait to read your shows.

"More Signings And More News on the Tribute Shows"
As promised, Jamesy's back again tonight with another update. Are you fans ready for more news, because I sure am. After the blockbuster announcement I posted earlier, this won't seem like much, but, it sure is in reality, as more and more names add to the Tribute Shows and the EWE signs more talent to its roster, in the form of 2 Free Agents.
Now, let's talk about the WCW Tribute Show, another legend will be live in Atlanta on the 21st, as former World Heavyweight Champion Ricky "the Dragon" Steamboat will also be apart of this "huge position offering" we've been talking about for some days now. We have been asking our superiors of what this position offering deal is but, we've been told that it will be revealed only and only once it is revealed... Nice politicking there bosses... mmh, now moving on. Now joining the Rhodes & the Steiners, will be 4 more WCW Alumnists, the Patriot (aka Del Wilkes), Japanese Living Legend the Great Muta (Keiji Muto) & former World Tag Team Champions, the Outsiders, Kevin Nash & Scott Hall. Wow! is all I can think of.
Now, as it regards to the ECW Tribute Show on the 25th, three more names have been officialy announced just minutes ago in the form of the last ECW Tag Team Champions, Roadkill & Danny Doring &, joining them, the Living Legend of Hardcore Wrestling, Terry Funk! Be sure not to miss what's shaping up to be a memorable and emotional event on the 25th in New York City.
Last but not least, again, just minutes ago, the EWE offices have been buzzing about the next two official signings coming straight off the free agents market. First, coming to us from our brothers to the north, Canada, Montreal to be more specific, she's an accomplished female wrestler and she'll be adding a little bit of that "brown sugar" taste of hers to the already impressive roster of female performers here in the EWE in association with SHIMMER Women's Athletes, formerly known as 21st Century Fox, Melissa Foxx. And, this other signee his just on the verge of breaking out as a major star into this business. He's been off of our tv screens for a while now and has been getting back in shape for a big return. He's got some pretty big footsteps to follow, but that won't prove to be anything to stop him as now, he's more mature than ever, I'm talking about the New Showstopper, Michael Shane!
That concludes today's second update session, but, before we let you all off the hook, we want to advise you, if you haven't already, call the different ticket outlets that hold tickets for one of these three shows, the WCW Tribute Show in Atlanta, Ga at the Omni (01/21/08), the ECW Tribute Show in New York City, NY at the Hammerstein Ballroom (01/25/08) & the EWE's very first show and PPV, "Retaliation", live from the Hammerstein Ballroom in New York City, NY on the 26th of January. Call right now to get your tickets because these shows will be not only historic, but memorable events.
Tomorrow, Sunday, is my one and only day off, but, in the invoice that was attached to the news I've just transmitted to you, another huge announcement is set to take place over the course of the day. So, tune in, back on Monday for my full report on this whole "ordeal". Signing off, I'm James Salazar, bound to spend another Saturday night alone, watching some old Jim Crockett Promotions tapes and feasting on some Mac & Cheese... remember to stay safe and not try any risky bumps, leave them to us, you'll enjoy it more that way.

"OMG!"
Fans, I have to bow down to Mr. Donald Trump & Mr. Shane McMahon. In barely two days, they've accomplished something that couldn't have been done by no ordinary men. Now, onto the January 25th ECW Tribute Show at the Hammerstein Ballroom, apart from the two special guests Shane McMahon has said to be producing that night, appearances from Tammy Lynn Sytch & Lance Wright have been confirmed, as well as them signing contracts with the EWE, exclusively! By any means, get your tickets now! for the three shows the EWE is working on as we speak. You now have proof that the sport you love so much is back on a level that gives it quite the exposure. For myself, James Salazar and everyone working on this here at EWE_Pro_Wrestling.Com, we sign off, be sure to take a look at my colleague Mr. Tully Blanchard's column this Thursday on this very website, as I'm sure Tully will have plenty to say on the current state of the EWE. As for myself, keep checking for updates on the shows that are coming up quite rapidly, but most all, get ready to experience this brand new feature to the site, promos for you favorite... and maybe least favorite grapplers as they all look forward to EWE "Retaliation" on the 26th of January! So long folks!

I will be adding the complete roster list on the first post of my thread, updates will be put on there when needed and ROH wrestlers that will be added to that list will be highlighted in Red to differentiate them from the actual wrestlers under written contracts. (Note: All wrestlers under written contracts can also be employed by ROH & SHIMMER & Japanese Promotions).

Re: EWE (Extreme Wrestling Entertainment) by LegendofBaseball
I’m really looking forward to the ECW Tribute show since I’m more familiar with ECW than WCW. I didn’t really watch much WCW back in the day. The ECW card looks really good. I’m really looking forward to the Impact Players in the main event, the Corino .vs. Scorpio match, and the Kid Kash .vs. Jerry Lynn match. The roster has a splendid mix of indy stars and ECW, WCW alumni. I’m really looking forward to seeing how you’ll develop feuds with the roster you have. I ‘m engrossed with your roster because it has numerous wrestlers not typically used in BTB. I’m pretty versed with indy wrestling so I’m probably one of the only ones here who is familiar with some of the lesser known names on your roster. The only ones I’m not too familiar with are Danny Drake and Mike Tobin who I researched are a tag team named the Boogie Knights. I can’t wait to see what you have in store for guys like the Backseat Boyz, James Keenan, Sal Rinauro, and the more well-known guys like Helms, Kennedy, and Jericho. Tajiri is one of my favorites and I hope you capture his outstanding charisma well. You have the potential to make so many interesting match-ups that people can only dream of seeing.

Re: EWE (Extreme Wrestling Entertainment) by LegendofBaseball
To let you know right off the bat, the "results" for the Tribute Shows won't be all too detailed. They'll be in the form of quick show results as posted on website and that take up about 2-5 lines each. The Tribute show idea is mainly to make the promotion respected and give it a "feel" for the business and to pay homage to the two promotions that led way for many great stuff and have exposure to show that "great" stuff one last time to fans of the products. (I don't know if this makes sense but... ohh well)
I will be using Drake & Tobin as a regular tag team. I've been a fan of them since I saw them for the first time at "the Era of Honor Begins" show and dug their style (and theme song for some strange reason).
I've also got a lot in store for guys like the Backseats & Kennedy over the course of the first few weeks of action.

Re: EWE (Extreme Wrestling Entertainment) by LegendofBaseball
EWE_Pro_Wrestling.Com (01/10/08)
"News, Notes And Whatever's Left" by Tully Blanchard
As I sit here in my home, looking at the EWE website, I don't know where to start... First of all, I have to say a big whole "thank you" to the men in charge for giving World Championship Wrestling the opportunity to see their favorite wrestlers from that company wrestle on one big card for one last time. And not only for the men in charge, but for the men and women that accepted to participate in such an event. I mean, egos are a thing that sometimes puts companies to rest, but, on January the 21st, when that bell rings for the first time during the night, all egos are going to be left at the front door, because all of these men and women will be putting on a show that no one in the Omni will ever forget. I'll be there myself and I just can't wait to see what unfolds on that historic night. And the same goes for those "ECW" fans in New York that will get to see their favorite wrestlers from that company wrestle each other on a supercard like that. Although it's been done before, pieces of the puzzle were sometimes missing, but not on the 25th.
But what I really want to talk about now is the acquisitions that the EWE has made over the course of the weekend.
Not only has the EWE formed alliances with the two most talentful independent promotions in America (ROH & SHIMMER) in my opinion, it has acquired all around world class athletes that have already made a name for themselves in the past 5 years or more.
What I want to do here is give my top 5 of the guys that in my mind we'll be the 5 most impactful wrestlers here in the EWE starting with no. 5 all the way to no. 1
5. Sid Vicious - This monster of a man has been out of action for the longest it would seem. The first we'll see of him in action will be at the WCW Tribute Show, when he teams up with Randy "Macho Man" Savage to take on the "Outsiders", Kevin Nash & Scott Hall. It'll be "Anything Goes" in this battle of "brawlers", and, it will all come down to one thing. Which team will run out of gas first. Let's not kid ourselves, I am just a bit older than these 4 guys, but, I can tell you, 5 years ago, my body could have not endured me going through such a painful bout for maybe more than 10 minutes. If Sid comes out the big winner in this contest, he'll have outlasted his foes and maybe even his teammate. If we see a dominant Sid at the Tribute Show, you can bet your bottom dollar that he will also be a force to be reckoned with here in the EWE.
4. Mr. Kennedy - This young kid from Green Bay got all the potential in the world to make it to the top of the mountain here in the EWE. I'll be honest, I don't exactly know why he decided to make the jump, because he had the chance to work with great veterans such as Shawn Michaels & Triple H in Stamford, but, if he wants to make his mark here as someone that can carry this company forward in its "building" years, then, he needs to target other great veterans the likes of Sting, Tommy Dreamer or Raven if he wishes to make an instant impact on the promotion and in the eyes of the fans who seem to have lost interest in his ways in the past couple of months. It's a hit or miss for Kennedy, he's either going to hit a home run out of the park, or he's going to flander around the EWE, trying to get as much attention as he can, but with not a lot of sucess. Grab the bull by the horns and run with him Mr. Kennedy... Kennedy.
3. Rob Van Dam - Mr. Van Dam will be making his official return to the ring after almost 6 months away from the squared circle in New York at the ECW Tribute Show, shoved right into the night's Main Event, teaming alongside Sabu, as they take on the reuniting team, as well, of Justin Credible & Lance Storm, better known as the Impact Players. After that match, if Van Dam doesn't live up to his "Whole ... Show" monicker, I don't want to hear how he was being held down in Stamford. He's got the chance of a lifetime to wrestle one more time at the building that last saw him wrestle Jerry Lynn some 7 years ago in a wrestling classic in front of these same fans. All 4 men should be able to put on a show that the fans will not ever be able to forget, and if that is what we see on January the 25th, and if, especially, that is what we see from Mr. Van Dam, I have no doubt in my mind that a new era will be ushered in for this revolutionary athlete in the sport of pro wrestling.
2. CM Punk - It is kind of unreal to see someone with so much potential, someone that was carrying the "ECW" name on his own, in another company, coming in, a title we don't recognize here in his hands, something that has not been seen in over 16 years. CM Punk is this generation's next "superstar". I personally don't see how fun it could be not to enjoy all the perks of being on the road by, not drinking, but, what's most important, is that in that ring, as of now, I don't know if there's anyone better than CM Punk. His utlimate test will be to show and prove that his days in Stamford didn't soften him up, and that when he brings his "belt" with him to the EWE, he better be sure to put not only his pride but that very belt on the line and prove he's deserving of the title that preceeds his name, the title of "Champion".
1. Samoa Joe - Joe, if you're reading this, I have all of my money on you to be the first ever EWE Champion. Samoa Joe's character has hit the world of pro wrestling by storm in 2003 in our cousin promotion Ring of Honor when he became their Champion. Everybody was waiting for his big break to happen in Orlando after such a great development... Guess the reason why Joe is now here is because of the fact that things didn't really go his way, although he worked hard and long for it. I'm not taking anything away from the man known as Kurt Angle, because he is truly the best at what he does when it comes to wrestling. All I'm saying is that, with no strings attached, Mr. Joe might just be Unstoppable here in the EWE. And he is my number 1 pick, and the man I fear (yes, I do fear for others around him) will be the dominant player here in the EWE.
This is it for yours truly, Tully Blanchard, I'll see you in 7 days, hopefully with more good news to comment and rant on. God Bless.

Re: EWE (Extreme Wrestling Entertainment) by LegendofBaseball
EWE_Pro_Wrestling.Com (01/12/08)
"First Official Match Signed for "Retaliation" & news concerning the "Super Brawl I" PPV Card"
With the event coming up sooner and sooner as the days go by, the offices of the EWE have made it official and have signed the first official match for the "Retaliation" PPV on January 26th 2008 at the Hammerstein Ballroom in New York City, NY.
This matchup that has been signed for the 26th is being dubbed as a "Dream Match", on one side of the ring, from the "City of Angels", one of wrestling's best all-around athlete, the man nicknamed "the Fallen Angel", Christopher Daniels. Many times over TNA X-Division & Tag Team Champion, Christopher Daniels' opponent at "Retaliation" comes to us from the land of the rising sun. Someone very familiar with the New York crowd, and someone well versed in all aspects of wrestling. A man better known to all as the "Japanese Buzzsaw", Yoshihiro Tajiri!
Neither of these men ever faced each other on such a grand stage and in front of such a huge potential audience. It'll be to the fans in attendance's delight, but also, will be of huge importance in determining the rankings towards the EWE's next Pay-Per-View in the month of February.
At Super Brawl I, two things are set in stone. A 4 Team League Challenge will take place, and at the end of the night, the two teams with the most "points" (2 points for a win, none for a loss and 1 for a tie) will face up to crown the very first EWE Tag Team Champions. (Teams TBA) And also, an 8 Man League Challenge, regrouping 8 of the elite EWE singles wrestlers, will go at it, with the same concept attached to it as with the "4 Team Leaque Challenge" concept, although this time, the 4 men with the most points at the end of the night will move on to our March PPV (Name TBA) and wrestle in two more grueling matchups. The first two matchups will take place in the confines of two "30 Minute Iron Man" matches. The winners of these matches will then advance to the night's Main Event and wrestle in a "2 out of 3 Falls" matchup to determine the first ever EWE Champion!
More on these concepts and on the next PPVs will be posted right here in my blog, but, in closing, be sure not to skip a day of visiting our website, as the EWE offices are bound to announce the full card for "Retaliation" in the coming days!
For now, this is James Salazar signing off!

Re: EWE (Extreme Wrestling Entertainment) by LegendofBaseball
I'm really excited about the Daniels and Tajiri match. The 4 team challenge is an interesting concept and from my understanding may be kind of similar to the Round Robin Tournaments ROH has held before. I can't wait for the full Retaliation card.
