Re: EWE (Extreme Wrestling Entertainment) by LegendofBaseball
I've decide to try and make the text bigger than it usual is, depending on the kind of feedback, I get, I might make this (starting after the next show, which is the PPV), a constant thing. I changed computers and realized that on the one I am now, the text did look really small. So, yeah, that pretty much explains this, I am far ways away from being done with the Pay-Per-View, I'd say I'm like 2/24 away from being done so, this BTB might be on a vacation of sorts for a while, minus I guess the reviews for this here show. Anyhow, just wanted to clear things out, thanks.

Bio-Hazard beat Ace Darling in 9:14 with a Sitdown Powerbomb.
***OPEN FEED***
This week, instead of opening up the show to the usual Saturday Night Wrestling opening, a special video hyping the night's events plays. Set to the official theme song of Super Brawl I ("Outtathaway" by The Vines). It first showcase the 8 wrestlers set to participate in the 8 Men League Challenge (Lance Storm, Chris Jericho, Muhammad Hassan, Mr. Kennedy, Rob Van Dam, Sid Vicious, Sting & Samoa Joe), all showing them making their way to the ring in a quick motion, mainly focusing on their way out from the black curtains. The "8 Men League Challenge" is displayed at the bottom of the screen, then, the screen cuts itself in 8 diagonal pieces with each man's face on there, the EWE World Heavyweight Championship, in a graphic like picture, burst out onto the screen, showing what these men are figthing for tonight and in the future. Then it shows them all in action in the ring before the same sort of pattern is done for the 4 Team League Challenge involving (Da Baldies, James Gang, Backseat Boyz & Second City Saints). Their entrance, their small image and then the display of "4 Team League Challenge" and finally the bursting out of the World Tag Team Championship. It then shows the 4 teams in action. The video then concentrates on the remaining matchups for the night, using a pattern that's already been used on EWE Television. (i.e. Chad Collyer Vs. Christopher Daniels on Tuesday Night Showdown (02/19/08)). It shows the men involved in the match in action, and then puts their frozen images on a split diagonal screen with the "Vs." sign splitting the screen in half. It does so for the announced matchups for the Pay-Per-View card, mainly the Junior Heavyweight, Television, ROH Tag Team Championships. Then the Stairway to Hell match & last but not least, the ECW Championship match. The video lasts the length of the Vines' song (3:02), and when it ends, it takes us inside of the 1st Mariner Arena to join our hosts for this Free-For-All edition of Saturday Night Wrestling, Joey Styles & "Mean" Gene Okerlund.
We join the duo inside of the ring, the rabid fans screaming their lungs out.
Joey Styles - "Welcome! to Extreme! Wrestling! Entertainment!!"
*CHEERS*
Joey Styles - "I'm Joey Styles and standing next to me, a true living legend in the sport of profressional wrestling, Mean Gene Okerlund."
*CHEERS*
Joey Styles - "You are watching a very special edition of Saturday Night Wrestling, a Free-For-All edition of "SNW", just one hour away from the 4 hour wrestling super event that is the EWE's Super Brawl I!!"
*CHEERS*
Mean Gene Okerlund - "Talk about electricity in this building Joey, like the old saying says, you can cut, the electricity with a knife here, in Baltimore, Maryland!!"
*CHEERS*
The cameras then switch to the entrance way as the voices of Lance Wright & Steve Corino welcome us... of sort, to what will be the team of announcers for the 2 scheduled matchups before the official Pay-Per-View.
***YOU'RE THE BEST AROUND***
Lance Wright - "Ohhh boy, wrestling fans, you have tuned in to HYPPPEE CENTRALLL! I am yours truly Lance Wright and the voice you'll hear in the just a matter of seconds is the voice of a man who soon enough, will hold gold around its waist, the man that is at the helm of the most decorated stable in the EWE, I have named this man not only the Indepedent God of Professional Wrestling, but the next man to grace the cover of GQ Magazine, Steve Coorinoooo!"
Steve Corino - "Thank you Lance Wright, it's finally quite a relief to know that Chris Lovey had some other obligations, therefore, I am finally sitting next to a man who knows all too well what kind of an athlete I am and you're exactly right, you're hearing the voice of the next ECW Champion in myself, leader of the Old School Heroes, Steve Corino."
Out from the back comes the team of Mike Tobin & Danny Drake, the Boogie Knights! They get a mild reaction, sporting the New York Yankees color not too accomodating to these Orioles fans. Still, the Boogie Knights make their first appearance on EWE Television, and they look ready to tangle with the team that is set to come out from the curtains, whomever they might be.
***INTERGALACTIC***
*CHEERS*
Nova & Chris Chetti! burst out from the black curtains, rushing to the ring, getting this crowd pumped up for tonight's big night of wrestling action. Nova dappered in his Venom gitup gets the crowd riled up, while Chetti plays to the female fans, still looking like a pretty boy, some 7 years removed from the closure of ECW.
Tag Team Match
The Boogie Knights (Mike Tobin & Danny Drake) Vs. Nova & Chris Chetti
This first ever meeting between these two teams proved to be the right match. It took about one fourth of the match for both teams to get re-acquainted with their respective partners and partnership tactics, but, once both teams got the ball rolling, it was full throttle and no looking back. This match was mainly a spotfest with some lucha libre type maneuvers to spice things up a bit, but, for the ten plus minutes these two teams battled it out, it was non-stop, fast-paced action. The Boogie Knights trying to slow Nova & Chetti down on numerous occasions, but, Nova & Chetti always coming out of nowhere with innovative tag team offense, something they had been known for in the past. The unorthodox offense that brought them oh so close to tag team gold on numerous occasions before their breakup in late 2000. Midway through the match, a figure, carrying a black suitcase made its way out from the back, remaining at the top of the entrance, a very serious look on his face through his out-of-date glasses. After taking numerous shots on this man (mainly through split screen images not to take away from the action inside of the ring), and, for those who've been around this business a long time, we come to the realization that this small afro-american suit wearing, glass sporting, bald headed man is none other than Attorney at Law... Clarence Mason?! A couple more pounds on him but his look hasn't changed one bit. The action still raged on inside of the ring and after hitting two Piledrivers and a Sitdown Powerbomb to boot on Danny Drake, Nova felt the red blood cells flowing through his body like never before. Suddenly Clarence Mason rushed to the ring and tried to get the referee's attention away from the match, just when Nova & Chetti were about to finish off Danny Drake. Unbeknownst to the referee, Mason slid his briefcase inside of the ring and it landed right in the hands of Mike Tobin. Tobin smacked it against the forehead of Nova and then against the back of Chetti, only to throw the foreign object out of the ring and then hooking Chetti up for a Release Dragon Suplex! Tobin put Drake over Chetti and the referee turned around to make the cover but Chetti was able to kick out!!! Nova turned up and cleaned house, sending Tobin outside of the ring with a Clothesline, before dropping Drake back down with a Flying Standing Leg Lariat. Chetti picked Drake up and dropped him with the Amytiville Horror before btoh Nova & Chetti ascended the top turnbuckle. Mason tried as best he can to have Tobin get back inside of the ring but it was too little too late... TIDAL WAVE!!! Chetti & Nova both cover Drake for the pinfall victory @ (10:09).
After the bell sounds, Clarence Mason walks with intent around ringside, getting his hands back on his briefcase and exiting the ringside area, while Nova & Chetti soak in the adulation from the crowd, leaving Mike Tobin to look over his partner in the middle of the ring.
Lance Wright - "The team of Nova & Chris Chetti steal one here tonight, but, what I want to know Mr. Corino, is, just what is Mr. Clarence Mason doing back around a wrestling ring?"
Steve Corino - "I'd like to give you the answer to that question but I don't know myself! Are the Boogie Knights clients of Mason?! Is Mason looking for new clients?! I just don't know, I mean, the Boogie Knights come from the mean streets of New York City, so, who knows, maybe these three have crossed path before!"
Lance Wright - "Well, if there ever was a time where a lawsuit should be issued, now would be the time to do so and I hope Mike Tobin & Danny Drake call upon Mr. Mason's vast knowledge of the justice system to right the wrong that we just saw happen in front of our very eyes with some illegal double teaming maneuvers from Nova & Chris Chetti."
While Nova & Chetti make their way back to the dressing room, clapping the fans' hands, the cameras switch to the backstage area, with Joey Styles & Mean Gene Okerlund standing by.
Joey Styles - "Well, I'm glad that Lance Wright is not on duty behind the announce desk too often."
Mean Gene - *letting out a small laughter* "You're not kidding!"
Joey Styles - "Well, something to take very seriously is the 8 Men League Challenge, last night, this whole Round Robin like tournament began, all of the action that took place last night will be recapped to you exclusively on tonight's Pay-Per-View offering, so please, pick up that phone, log on, gosh, do whatever it takes to watch tonight's Super Brawl Pay-Per-View because the 8 Men League Challenge is one of the most important reasons to why we are here this weekend in Baltimore, and that is to determine the 4 top Challengers at the EWE World Heavyweight Championship, a Championship that will be held by one of the 8 men currently competing against each other."
Mean Gene - "And you talk about competing, let me tell you, I've been in this business for a mighty long time and I haven't seen ever, 8 wrestlers with the abilities that these 8 have showcased last night and, I guess it's only fitting we now show you these 8 men and what they are competing for, and more importantly, the road that led them here tonight to Super Brawl I and just what you folks at home can expect when you buy Super Brawl I."
The screen switches to a video montage set to Alice In Chain's "Rooster".
Videos shows the 8 men (Storm, Hassan, Kennedy, Sid, Sting, Jericho, RVD & Joe), making their entrace inside of the ring at Retaliation, the images of the video moving to a rather quick speed going along with the fast paced rock song. (Narrator = Joey Styles)
"On January 26th, the EWE was born. And in the Main Event of its first ever show, on Pay-Per-View, 20 Men battled for the 8 spots that would eventually lead to the 8 Men League Challenge and the World Heavyweight Championship."
Clips of the actual match, focusing on our 8 competitors.
"An added bonus in the form of cold hard cash was put on the line, Twenty Thousand Dollars to the victor of this Over the Top Rope Battle Royale. And as men started piling up on the outside, our 8 competitors were found."
Clips of the ending of the bout.
"And in the end, Sid Vicious stood tall and won this ever so important bout."
Clips of Sid at the first ever Tuesday Night Showdown, along with Lance Wright.
"But Sid had a choice to make. Would he put his hands on the money, or instead, choose to get a leg's lenght of advantage on his competition by already gaining a 2 points advantage on his 7 adversaries in the 8 Men League Challenge. Sid proclaimed his might over everybody in the EWE locker room and sinned, deciding that taking the money was the wisest of choices he could make, choosing greed over wisdom."
Clips of each men in action over the course of last couple of weeks.
"The road to Super Brawl I hasn't been an easy one for our 8 wrestlers. But they did not make it this far by fluke."
Clips of Lance Storm.
"The proud son of Calgary... Alberta, Canada is probably the most gifted athlete in this whole group. A master technician, his extensive stays in Japan and around the world have made him over the years a true ring general. But Lance Storm has never shined under those big spotlights, a company riding on his shoulders. Out of retirement and ready to make his impact on this sport, this is Storm's chance to put his talent to the test and walk out of Super Brawl one step closer to something he's never held before in his career... a World Championship!"
Clips of Chris Jericho.
"Although Jericho sometimes gets in trouble because of his extreme cockiness, there's no doubt that this Y2J has truly the heart of a lion. Jericho was once walking in Lance Storm's shoes, never having won the big one. But as of now, it's not about that, Jericho has tested Main Event Gold before. Chris Jericho returned to action just a few months back, really with high hopes of finding that promise land once again. But things didn't pan out the way Chris Jericho wanted, and now Jericho has joined the upstart company that is putting the word "wrestling" back into this great sport. For Jericho, it's about proving himself his worth, and showing just how hungry he really is!"
Clips of Muhammad Hassan.
"After having been nearly killed in front of a live Pay-Per-View audience some 3 years ago, Muhammad Hassan burst out onto the scene at our first Pay-Per-View and shocked the world. Back with even more vengeance, hatred and self righteousness, Hassan is on the uphill climb once more to prove one thing, and one thing only. That he is worthy of being called a World Champion. Hassan was one of the most fastest rising wrestler in a long time, and showing great strides of one day, becoming just that, a World Champion. But his aspirations were put to rest, and after exiling himself in his forefather's country and coming back even more dangerous than he was before, Hassan is shooting for what he believes is his destiny, and that is to be on top of the EWE... no matter the cost!"
Clips of Rob Van Dam.
"Mr. Pay-Per-View himself was sitting at home just a few months back, just chomping at the bits to get back in front of his fans and a live crowd. Not to get a crowd reaction out of his many gestures. But to get a reaction out of the crowd that came out to see him be nothing less than the Whole F'N Show! For too long now, Rob Van Dam had been relegated to a role that just insulted the very intelligence of long time RVD followers. The politics have been thrown out the window, and there's nothing and no one holding Rob Van Dam back. If "RVD 4:20" means anything to you at all, then you know that RVD is stepping into Super Brawl and the 8 Men League Challenge with one thing in mind... Dominating his competition just like he used to do during his 23 month reign as ECW World Television Champion. The only thing that stopped him back then was an injury... and it is the only thing that could stop him now from putting around his waist the EWE World Heavyweight Championship!"
Clips of Mr. Kennedy.
"The young, brash and cocky loudmouth has hit the scene here in the EWE as the leader of the Elite. Men who came from Stamford in an attempt to put the competition down. Thus far, their actions have been more than despicable, but effective. Mr. Kennedy is looking to make his impact felt, but to make his claims as serious as can be. That old school wrestling attitude that Kennedy utilizes inside of that squared circle has thrown many of his opponents off their game. As he defeated AJ Styles to make his way into the 8 Men League Challenge, Mr. Kennedy as all of that momentum pushing against his back, and we all know his money his where his mouth is, but will that also translate in him being one of the top 4 contenders to the EWE World Heavyweight Championship when all's set and done? Mr. Kennedy wouldn't have it any other way!"
Clips of Sting.
"The Icon of Professional Wrestling has waged wars over the years with some of the most prolific and dangerous men in the sport of wrestling. This weekend, Sting faces his toughest challenge yet. Up against the biggest wall he has yet to climb, Sting must prove to himself and his fans that he not only still has it, but that he still has what it takes to climb that proverbial wall and grab hold of that Gold that awaits him on the other side of the fence. He steps into this weekend's event having only faced 2 of 7 men he gets to wrestle. Will Sting be able to adapt to this young and next generation of wrestling Superstars?! I guess there's only one thing that Sting would say to that in response... It's Showtime Folks!"
Clips Sid Vicious.
"Nobody every thought they'd ever see Sid Vicious in a wrestling ring ever again. Nobody ever believed in this man's ability to make this much of an impact on the EWE after such a long hiatus and after such a long rehabilitation process. But by hook or crook, Sid found himself standing tall at Retaliation and proved to everyone that he's as dangerous as he once was. And this weekend, the wind blowing against his sails, Sid Vicious is set on ruling over his competition. Towering over all of his opponents, Sid will be that curve ball that's thrown at each and every of his adversaries. His size but mostly his deceptive agility. No matter what Sid utilizes, the Chokeslam or the dreaded Powerbomb, anybody caught in Sid's grasp is bound to eat dirt and lots of it, remember the name, Sid, enough said!"
Clips of Samoa Joe.
"And last but not least, the Samoan Submission Machine. The most dominant man in professional wrestling over the course of the past 5 years. Mowing through Ring of Honor, TNA and now, in taking that next step up the ladder of greatness, Samoa Joe sets his sights on Super Brawl and his chance at being called World Heavyweight Champion here in the EWE. It's Samoa Joe's mix of mixed martial arts, pure wrestling, rough striking and high impact offense that has propelled him over countless victories and numerous titles over the short years he's been in this great business, not to mention his uncanny resilience and ability to absorb punishment, and that is exactly what Samoa Joe will be employing if he wants to be a 2 time World Champion in the sport of Professional Wrestling, because his name is Samoa Joe, and he is Pro Wrestling!"
The graphic with all of the 8 men's freezed frames shows up once more on the screen.
"Super Brawl I is the stage these 8 men will battle on. Tooth and nail they'll scrape, on two back to back nights, wrestling a maximum of 7 matches against all-around world class wrestlers. The prestige will be set by these standards. And while some men will fall, others will claim legendary status... There's only one way to see all of this unfold, and that is on Pay-Per-View, when the EWE Presents Super Brawl I, the 8 Men League Challenge!"
The camera comes back to Joey Styles (a full bodied plan on him).
Joey Styles - "And standing by with us at this very time...One of the 8 men that is apart of the 8 Men League Challenge... Sid Vicious..."
The camera zooms out, Joey Styles not even wanting to look at the men who's standing between him and Mean Gene Okerlund. Mean Gene looks Sid up and down; Sid, just laughing, sweat and water pouring off of him like an African downpour. Joey Styles slowly moves his microphone over before Sid just snatches it away from him and starts screaming and hollering.
Sid Vicious - "NOW GET OUT OF MY SET LITLLE MEN!!"
Both Styles & Gene storm off... and who wouldn't!
Sid Vicious - "You see, when God created this world, he forged things in his image... and then, after 6 days of hard labour, he looked around at his work, and decided that on the 7th day, he was satisfied with what he had done... Well I AIN'T GOD! But one thing's for sure... one... thing... is... for sure. This is the 6th day... and after my work is done here... there is no doubt in my mind... Ha Ha Ha Ha Ha Ha Ha! THERE IS NO DOUBT IN MY MIND THAT I WILL BE MORE THAN SATISFIED WITH THE WORK I'VE ACCOMPLISHED!! Just remember one thing... one... thing... That after the night's done... I will be that one step closer to being the Master & Ruler of the EWE....."
Sid drops the microphone down and walks up close to the camera and speaks into it, almost whispering.
Sid Vicious - "Sid... enough... said... SID! ENOUGH SAID!"
Shaking the camera and sending sweat and water pouring all over the shot. Sid then makes his way out of the shot... sending the broadcast in complete silence for a couple of seconds as neither Styles nor Mean Gene make their way back to the EWE interview set. After about 10-15 seconds, the screen switches to a screen that shows and hypes the matchup that will pit Justin Credible against Tommy Dreamer, in the Stairway to Hell Match. (i.e. It is quite like the many hyping matchups screens the WWE, TNA, PWG have used in the past, moving images that freeze of each wrestler in front of a digital background, this one being split by barbed wire designs and with a "Vs." wrapped in Barbed Wire, Ladders being used to rest the names of the wrestler, their respective female valets in the background. This screen then switches to another narrated hype video montage.
Set to Nine Inch Nails' "Head Like A Hole" and narrated by Joey Styles.
Clips of Credible & Dreamer making their respective ring entrances, intertwined with some still photographies (courtesy of PWI) of Dreamer & Credible in ECW.
"Justin Credible.... Tommy Dreamer... this heated rivalry began some 10 years ago in the famed halls of the ECW Arena... A war that was waged over Dreamer's legacy in ECW... A war that was waged because of Credible's hunger for recognition."
Clips of Dreamer & Credible doing battle against numerous opponents in the EWE. (Mainly taken from the Impact Players vs. Punk/Dreamer Tag Team Match on "SNW")
"This heated rivalry transformed both men. Credible became more cunning, and grew tougher with all the beatings he had to endure. Dreamer realized he was not the youngest dog in the fight anymore and that everywhere he looked, he was being targeted as a stepping stone for wrestlers trying to make their names off of him."
Clips of Credible & Dreamer still in action + Stills from PWI of their first famed Stairway to Hell Match.
"This rivalry grew so intensely that they had to settle their differences in a match that had been made famous some 2 years earlier by Sabu & the Sandman... a Stairway to Hell match. A match that consists of one thing and one thing only. A ladder is prepped in the middle of the ring, the object, to grab the Barbed Wire that lays dangling below the rafters."
Stills of Dreamer executing his Tommy-Hawk from two ladders onto the mat below + Credible dropping Dreamer with the That's Incredible on a Ladder.
"But once the barbed wire has been acquired, then, and only then, does the real match begin."
Clips of Credible victorious and taunting the fans on EWE TV + more stills courtesy of PWI of both men.
"Justin Credible walked out the victor of this most violent of matchups and cemented is place as a mainstay in the ECW locker room."
Stills of Credible & Dreamer's second Stairway to Hell match.
"On a hot summer night in Los Angeles, Dreamer challenged Credible for the ECW Championship in their second Stairway to Hell match. When all seemed lost for Credible, as Dreamer climbed up the ladder to retrieve the barbed wire, Francine interjected herself and, in the end, a double cross from Dreamer's one night only valet, Gorgeous George, cost Dreamer not only the ECW Championship and that big paycheck that had been stolen from him from Credible himself the night Dreamer won the ECW Championship defeating Taz, but he stole from him the one victory that eluded him for almost 2 years. A win against Credible in the Stairway to Hell match!"
Clips of Dreamer & Credible in the EWE. Action and non-action shots.
"Now, some 7 years after the ECW closed its doors for good, the EWE brings back to life not only a bitter rivalry to life, but it brings back to Pay-Per-View the ladders, and the barbed wire... in the Stairway to Hell Match!"
The hype up graphic with Credible & Dreamer re-appears on the screen.
"Justin Credible & Tommy Dreamer... the Stairway to Hell Match... will Tommy Dreamer's threats and claims come to fruition for him. Will he finaly achieve the one thing that has eluded him all of those years? Or will Justin Credible rise to the occasion once again, and dig the hole that will send Tommy Dreamer packing after all the bumps, bruises and broken bones. The only thing that we can predict, is that someone will feel the wrath of the many ladders put into play... the barbed wire when its snatched from the rafters... but most importantly, someone will have to taste their own blood, whether they like it or not!"
The screen switches to a pre-recorded interview from Justin Credible, as he sits somewhere in the large landscape of the city of Baltimore, sitting in some stairs in some park. Wearing street gear with a black hockey jersey of the Los Angeles Kings, with a baseball cap on, and sunglasses covering his eyes in this rather sunny day in February. Francine sits next to Credible, her arms wrapped around Credible's right arm, an autumn 3/4 coat on her, freezing a bit, as the trees besides them flip flop left and right thanks to the sudden burst of wind, her head resting over Credible's shoulder, as she nods at every word Justin speaks.
Justin Credible - "So here we go again Tommy. It seems that all those shots to the head you've been the victim of have destroyed alot of those brain cells of yours, because you never seem to learn from your triumphs nor your tragedies. Wasn't it enough that I beat you at your own game at Guilty as Charged when everybody labelled me the underdog in such a violent match against such a violent man as you? Wasn't it enough that I crushed your very dreams in a matter of minutes the night you put your hands on the ECW Championship for the very first time of your career? And wasn't it just about enough that when that belt was yours for the taking, with everybody behind you, from the boys in the back to smarks on the internet to the fans in LA, you failed yet again against me? All those things, Tommy, and many more, aren't they weighing on your mind as we speak? What will it take for you to finally admit to yourself that someone tougher than you's been having more sucess than you in a shorter amount of time in this business. At Super Brawl Tommy, I crush your dreams and hopes once again... and here's our the real saying goes Tommy... that's not just the coolest, not just the best, that's Justin Credible!"
Credible takes his glasses off, eyes of wild intensity bursting through the lens.
Justin Credible - "Mark my words Tommy, neither one of us will be able to walk out of this weekend's Stairway to Hell... because I plan on taking you there, and make hell your permanent retirement home!"
The screen fades to black as Credible seethes slowly, Francine still nodding and looking afar, the breeze really getting to her, sending chills all through her body.
The cameras come back to the EWE Set with Joey Styles & Mean Gene Okerlund.
Joey Styles - "I was fortunate enough, if you can call it fortune, to be there live for each and every of Justin Credible & Tommy Dreamer's numerous chapter in their long running feud, but never have I felt this tense about what can transpire here tonight when 7 years late, the feud is reignited under the circumstances we know of."
Mean Gene - "I wouldn't be too surprised if the words that were spoken a while back by Tommy Dreamer, and, from what we've just heard from Justin Credible, like I was saying, I would not be surprised one minute if what these men talked about would indeed come true. We're talking about blood being spilled, folks at home, this will not be for the weak of heart and please, please, during this very, well, what promises to be a very graphic contest, please folks, put the kids to bed!"
Joey Styles - "But Super Brawl won't just be about getting that much closer to crowning our very first World Heavyweight Champion or about bloody feuds the likes of the one we've just talked about. It is also about crowning the very first pair of Tag Team Champions. The same concept is being used in the form of this Round Robin like Tournament wiht 4 teams, the 4 Team League Challenge, as it's called, and by the end of the night, one team will reign supreme in the world of the EWE."
Screen switches to another video montage to hype the 4 Team League Challenge set to Rage Against the Machine's "Bullet In the Head" and narrated by Joey Styles.
The video begins by showing off the 4 teams, whether making their entrance or being introduced in the ring. As each team get their shot on screen, the shots get reduced and are sent in each corner of the screen, still rolling the footage they had been showing beforehand.
"For many years, mainstream wrestling has put tag team wrestling to shame. But the EWE is set to bring tag team wrestling back to the so called mainstream wrestling platform and the 4 teams competing this weekend are representatives of the road the EWE is taking in revitalizing tag team wrestling."
Clips of the Retaliation PPV.
"At Retaliation, fans were given a preview of what they could expect when Da Baldies, The James Gang, the Backseat Boyz & the Second City Saints wrestled in the Double Elimination 4 Team Match, the winners, set to receive a 2 point advantage over the 3 other teams once the 4 Team League Challenge rolled along at this weekend's Super Brawl."
Clips of the ending of the match.
"In the end, by hook and crook, Johnny Kashmere & Trent Acid, the Backseat Boyz, with help of Michael Shane & Traci Brooks, who'd later all join together by the side of Steve Corino to form the Old School Heroes, came out victorious of this grueling and intense tag team wrestling bout."
Clips of the 4 teams, whether in action in the ring, outside of it, or during a promo.
"Now, all 4 teams have gathered here today on this very important weekend. Angel & Devito of Da Baldies. Kip & BG of the James Gang. Kashmere & Acid of the Backseat Boyz. Cabana & Steel of the Second City Saints."
Clips of teams in action once again, this time delivering more big time maneuvers.
"It's all or nothing for these 4 teams. The 4 Team League Challenge! Super Brawl I is the night where we crown our first ever EWE Tag Team Champions!"
Video ends with the hype graphic with all four teams on there.
Video switches back to Mean Gene Okerlund.
Mean Gene - "Here joining us now, one of the 4 teams entered in the 4 Team League Challenge, yes, the band of brothers from the South, Kip & BG, the James Gang."
Joey Styles has left the set and in steps Kip & BG on each side of Mean Gene.
Mean Gene - "Gentlemen, last night, you two had a rough go at it in your first match in the League Challenge, here tonight, having won last night against the Backseat Boyz, you face the Second City Saints, a team you've tangled with last month, at Retaliation, a team that is quite the unorthodox pairing."
BG James - "Unorthodox is the right word. We've seen and tangled with more tag teams in this lifetime than we've had long sleepness nights our wives, one thing's for sure, we ain't never seen anything like Colt Cabana & Ace Steel."
Mean Gene - "Well indeed they are something special, last night though, they too were victorious in their matchup, against the Da Baldies, a team of rough New York City hoodlums, mathematically speaking, as far as tonight's concerned, a win from your opponents tonight, and, a win from the Backseat Boyz would automatically knock both you gentlemen and Da Baldies out of the League Challenge, so it's do or die for the James Gang tonight by all means."
Kip James - "We haven't come this far in this business by doing maths and looking at odds. The only thing we know how to do is get in that ring, give you the fight of your life and come at you guns blazing."
BG James - "It's simple Gene, these boys better catch us if they want us to hang, because together, we shakin' and struttin' and rollin' down victory lane, and Saints don't go praying on no Jesus, Lord or Savior in vain, because tonight you're facing none other than the James Gang!"
Kip James - "And if you aren't down with that, we've just go two simple words for ya!"
The James Gang leave the set, focused on tonight's continuation of the 4 Team League Challenge.
Mean Gene - "I thank you gentlemen, the James Gang & Second City Saints, set to do battle here tonight at Super Brawl I, let's send it back to ringside and to the voices of Lance Wright & Steve Corino for the next contest on this special edition of Saturday Night Wrestling, the Free-For-All!"
Cameras switch to ringside and the entrance way.
***NO SLEEP 'TILL BROOKLYN w/ STAYIN' ALIVE (REMIX) INTRO***
A mixed reaction burst out from the fans as the Sicilian Shooter, Little Guido Maritato makes his way out from the back, FBI baseball jersey on him, the Italian flag waving, and, being accompanied by the Full Blooded Italians' head cheerleader Trinity! Guido taunts the fans with the famous italian deragatory hand gestures before making his way inside of the ring and being praised by Trinity.
***HAIR OF THE DOG***
A nice little reaction follows the numerous boos and not-to-keen chants directed at Guido for LGM's opponent tonight, Chad Collyer. After a tremendous showing against Christopher Daniels on Tuesday Night Showdown but coming oh so short of capturing the EWE Television Champion, Collyer is looking focused and ready to put that loss behind him and getting back on the winner's side of things.
Singles Match
Little Guido Maritato w/ Trinity Vs. Chad Collyer
It took a few minutes for these two tremendous workers to get accustomed to each other. Maybe because the crowd was starting to get a bit hostile, waiting on the actual event to begin. Still, Collyer & Guido worked through a good techincal battle, shifting gears midway through the bout to appease the Baltimore fans, digging in their book of tricks to showcase some high impact offense that got the crowd back into it. Trinity was a constant pain in the butt for Collyer as she constantly ran around ringside, trying to be as much a presence in this match as she could. Collyer looked to hook Guido in the Double Underhook Powerbomb that would lead to him applying the Texas Cloverleaf, but being too close to the ropes, Trinity hooked on to Collyer's leg and Guido was able to drop back down on his feet and smack Collyer right across the face. With an Irish Whip, Guido caught Collyer coming back with a Spinning DDT that just planted Chad. Guido then hit the Sicilian Slice and looked to end this one by putting Collyer in the dreaded Sicilian Crab. But Collyer's tremendous leg strenght sent Guido flying in the nearest corner chest first. Collyer moved back up to his feet and ran at Guido who turned around, only to receive a Lariat across his chest with full force. Collyer then hooked Guido out of the corner with the Double Underhook Powerbomb. But instead of dropping him on the mat, he threw him against the corner with force!! Guido somehow remained on his feet, only to be hooked by Collyer for a Brainbuster Suplex with a roll into the Texas Cloverleaf!! Trinity tried desperately to get the referee's attention but out from the back came Matt Stryker; Collyer's partner, to stop her from screwing this one up for Chad. Tony Mamaluke ran out from the back as well but was stopped by Stryker who began to brawl with Tony as Guido tapped out to the pressure of the hold applied by Collyer @ (12:19).
Mamaluke & Stryker continued to brawl on the outside until Trinity jumped on Stryker's back to give Mamaluke the advantage. Trinity raked away at Stryker eyes and jumped off him while Mamaluke Irish Whipped Stryker in the steel ring steps. Mamaluke then stormed the ring, accompanied by Trinity as they now jumped Chad Collyer. They stomped him down until Stryker rushed back in, carrying a Steel Chair with him, as Mamaluke, Guido & Trinity scurried out of the ring and to the back.
Lance Wright - "I cannot believe that a pure wrestler such as Matt Stryker would first, put his hands on a lady, and then threaten to kill off his fellow wrestlers with a weapon such as a steel chair Mr. Corino!"
Steve Corino - "Matt Stryker was backed up against that proverbial wall and that's the only thing he could come up with, how shameful."
Lance Wright - "If karma does indeed exist, it will definitely come back and and bite Stryker & Collyer hard where the sun don't shine in the form of a full fledged FBI attack, I can guarantee the folks at home that much."
***Video hyping the Super Brawl PPV and the many ways to watch it as it unfolds in a matter of minutes***
Cameras switch back to the EWE Set with Joey Styles & Mean Gene Okerlund.
Joey Styles - "Well fans, the minutes are ticking away before we go live, on Pay-Per-View, for Super Brawl I, and Mean Gene, the big one tonight, for the ECW Championship, a feud that has been brewing for years and years now, the leader of the Old School Heroes, the self-proclaimed Independent God of Professional Wrestling, Steve Corino, set to challenge the Straight Edge Disciple, and leader of the Second City Saints, CM Punk."
Mean Gene - "Well there is no doubt that these two men have something very heated going on right now and, with what we saw just a couple of days ago on Tuesday Night Showdown, the level of intensity and hatred between these two men has got to be at an all-time high but Joey, you can't forget about the role the people outside the ring will play in this bout."
Joey Styles - "Allison Danger, the sister of Steve Corino, always a dangerous presence at ringside, but to counteract that, a couple of weeks ago, our former colleague here for EWE TV, the Original Diva, Tammy Lynn Sytch, offered her services to the Second City Saints and more than anyone else, CM Punk, and, it would seem that Tammy is the missing piece of the puzzle when it comes time to make this one on one contest between Corino & Punk just that, a one on one match."
Boos can be heard through the walls of the 1st Mariner Arena as Joey Styles & Mean Gene cock their eyebrows, not knowing what's going down. We then hear voices coming from the ring via microphone.
??? - "Hold off the presses people, hold it right there Joey & Scheme Gene, hold it right, there!"
Joey Styles - "What?!... we were supposed to send it to the video pack... we have to... we have to send it to the ring?! Gene?"
Gene looks at Joey Styles confused as he is. Cameras switch to the ring where, along with the... Old School Heroes, Steve Corino is standing in the middle of the ring, sporting a silver silk shirt with black slacks, sunglasses over his eyes.
Steve Corino - "There won't be no hype videos, and there won't be no hype at all.... I've had enough of waiting, so... CM PUNKKKK!!!! Get your juvenile punk butt OUT HERE!! RIGHT... NOW!!!"
Corino and his cohorts (Johnny Kashmere, Trent Acid, Christopher Daniels, Allison Danger, Michael Shane & Traci Brooks) stand in the middle of the ring, looking out at the entrance way, waiting for Punk to come out. Corino walks around intently, getting rid of his sunglasses and throwing them down on the ground, giving his last bit of instructions to his team.
Steve Corino - "C'mon Punk!! Don't make me waiting!! Don't make me come back there and snatch you from reading your comic books!!"
The Old School Heroes then all reach the ropes, looking out at the entrance ramp again. Suddenly, a voice speaks out from the confines of the building.
??? - "Hey, Steven!! Up here!!"
A large spotlight illuminates a section of the arena, while the crowd goes berzerk as CM Punk, Colt Cabana, Ace Steel & Tammy Lynn Sytch stand in the sea of fans. The Old School Heroes direct their attention towards the Second City Saint, Corino pretty upset.
CM Punk - "Steve, Corino... You stand in the middle of the ring with your army that you've formed. And I stand here with mine. If you want to go right here and right now..."
*CHEERS*
CM Punk - "I ain't got no problem with that... But, but, we're pretty un-even guys, wouldn't you say?"
Looking over his shoulders over at Cabana & Steel.
CM Punk - "But that's okay, 'cause I know of a couple of people in the back that would like nothing more than to come out here right now and beat you up good. Boys, let's go!"
*CHEERS*
The SCS started descending through the crowd while the Old School Heroes look around confused, looking for the other group of people CM Punk was just talking about.
*CHEERS*
Through the entrance way this time, Jerry Lynn, Jason Cross & Mickie James come out to a big pop as they have the OSH surrounded! The Lynn group and the SCS finaly reach ringside as the OSH try and prepare themselves for this beatdown drag out affair that's about to explode. Corino pushes his men forward as he tries to escape! Only for Jason Cross to run after him at full speed, and, helped by the Baltimore crowd who stops Corino from jumping the barricade, he throws him back into the ring and everybody fills up the ring for an all out BRAWL!!! Tammy & Traci jump at each other and rolled down and around to the outside, scratching and clawing away at each other. Mickie & Allison brawling through the sea of men!
Lance Wright - "It's complete pendamonium!!!"
Joey Styles - "Fans!! Oh my Godd!! You still have time to order Super Brawl I!!! We're out of time, the Pay-Per-View starts right now!!! Get him Punk, c'mon!!!"
Lance Wright - "Call SECURITY!!!!"
The scene in the ring is total mayhem, people moshing over each other, security finaly stepping in to stop the fight, helped by officials, but still, wrestlers struggle free from order and continue this pier six brawl as the copyrights logo appears at the bottom of screen, the screen fading to black, the raucous crowd being heard full blast as the "Free-For-All" edition of Saturday Night Wrestling comes to and end!!!
***END FEED***
