EWE_Pro_Wrestling.Com (02/21/08)
''Exclusive Second City Saints Promo + Location for next EWE PPV Changed.''

Hello fans, this is James Salazar with another EWE blog update, straight from the EWE Offices. Right off the bat, we have important news for our fans in Orlando.

On the 29th of March, the EWE was set to present ''Wrestling Classic'' at the Amway Arena, home of the Orlando Magic, right next door to the Orlando Downtown Recreational Complex that was set to hold a double shot of shows for the 28th and 29th of March for Ring of Honor's big ''Dragon Gate Challenge II'' & ''Supercard of Honor III'' respectively.

Our bid to host our Saturday night Pay-Per-View there has been turned down by the Amway Arena officials since our competition is set to host a very unique night of their own there as we speak.

But, not to worry, the state of Florida will get to witness Extreme Wrestling Entertainment Action first hand on the 29th of March as we get to crown our very first World Heavyweight Champion.

But fear not, as we have a new home for our Wrestling Classic Pay-Per-View! On Saturday March 29th 2008, the EWE is set to revive the old Miami Arena with hot wrestling action straight from up north with all of the stars you've come to love and hate live for our 3rd ever Pay-Per-View Event! Tickets will go on sale this coming Tuesday, so be sure to call the Miami Arena box office to get your hands on these hot tickets!

Now, let's talk a bit about the present. This weekend the EWE presents the Super Brawl Weekend and we've received via our EWE Video Crew a very special message from the Second City Saints directed towards the Old School Heroes that was taped this past Tuesday in Upper Marlboro, here's the link, enjoy!

((LINK))

The setting is outside of the Show Place Arena in a nearby park. Not so much illuminated, but still, a few spotlights clear up the space so that it's not totally a rape-friendly area. The camera walks up slowly to a roundabout area where a few benches lay in the ground, a few garbages can lay a waste, and the Second City Saints lay on the benches, CM Punk sitting in the middle of one the bench, Ace & Colt Cabana between him, Tammy resting on Cabana's knees. The ground looks wet, and there's some light rain dripping down. The Saints are dressed up with their usual grunged up urban like attire; hoodies, ragged jeans, baseball caps and tuques, while Tammy looks a bit out of her element, a huge ''Canuk'' like coat on her, the hood of the coat covering up the bottom part of her face and mostly her hair, her hands wrapped tightly inside of the pockets of this warm attire.

CM Punk - ''So, it's come to this. In just a couple of days now, the Second City Saints are set to wage war against the Old School Heroes. Colt & Ace looking to become Tag Champions, myself, looking to hold on to the ECW Championship. A Championship I brought with me from Stamford. I know I've got lawyers up my ass and that I've got Paul Heyman trying to talk some sense into me, telling me to drop that belt and that everything will be okay. Will it really be okay? Steve Corino... will dropping the belt to some suits & ties really break this feud apart from the very bottom of the well.... I don't think so. I think you've always been jealous of just how disciplined I was. I think you've always been jealous of me be younger than you. I think you've always been jealous of not having burst out onto the scene at the same time I did, because when you were in your prime in ECW, I was making my debut in the world of professional wrestling through dedicated training and discipline. And I guess the rest's history.''

Ace puts his hand over Punk to stop him.

Ace Steel - ''Guys, hold on, Punk, sorry to cut you off, but, I think you're forgetting something here... Remember at the first show, when, Acid & Kashmere got the big win over us thanks to Michael Shane?! Well... I know where you're going with this, and we all know this was all Steve's big plan to get some heat from the fans and get his last big run by taking you out and forming a group that could take your army out as well...''

Cabana cuts Ace off, looking at Ace, Punk & getting nods from Tammy when he speaks.

Colt Cabana - ''Woah, Ace, don't we all know that already... no?! Am I not right guys?! I mean, this is why we're here no?! To set the record straight?''

CM Punk - ''Guys, you're both right. So let's set the record straight... By coming over here to the EWE with my ECW Championship, I've put you guys on the hotseat. I wasn't even supposed to be coming over here with the belt, but I did, and I'm not regretting it whatsoever. But Corino and his guys, they're about to regret something this weekeend. And mostly Corino. 'Cause Steve Corino is set to regret the very moment he targeted me and my army. We might be slightly less bigger than you, but we've all got one thing in common, and that's the fact that we've scrapped the same walls to get to where we're at right now. And whether it be capturing tag team gold, or retaining a Singles Championship, the fact of the matter is, the Second City Saints are bound by one thing, and that's Chicago. And Steve Corino, your Old School Heroes, no matter how much they believe in you, the fact remains that you're there leader. We don't have leaders in the Second City Saints, because we're an army of one... and when one man goes down, the rest will do everything they can to get that man back up, even if that means risking life and limb for that one man. Numbers are just numbers Corino. In battle, numbers are meaningless. What matters is what's flowing through your veins and pumping in your heart. And what's pumping in our hearts is the pride of our hometown, the bond of our friendship, and our will to win. And no one you recruit, and nothing you put against us will ever break any of those things or any of us... And when the dust settles, the Second City Saints will be standing over you and your fallen heroes, and we'll put the past to rest, and we'll be the ones to set the example for what the EWE means to us. That the EWE is the future of professional wrestling. And that the Second City Saints are proud representatives of that movement, that rebellion against the suits & ties, the stockholders and the big marketing schemes. Some might follow us because they like our craziness, some might follow us because they like us to goof around in that ring, some might follow us because they're Straight Edge, it doesn't really matter why the people follow us, at the end of the day, they know, and we know why they follow us. And that's because when we say we're better than you, they know these words aren't in vain, and that these words mean the minute you think we're down and out, we'll pick ourselves up off that floor and we'll fight for all we've got, just to prove that point. Backseat Boyz, Steve Corino, this weekend is all about one thing... showing you why we're just that, better than you.''

Punk throws up the X, while Steel nods, and Cabana & Tammy flirt with each other. The producer thanks the guys for their time to end the interview. Tammy gets up and speaks out.

Tammy Lynn Sytch - ''C'mon boys, I'm freezing out here, let's go back to the hotel... that lingered on for a bit there, I can't even feel my hands and my face anymore!''

Colt gets up.

Colt Cabana - ''C'mon guys, let's go PARTY!!''

Ace gets up and sort of follows Colt.

Ace Steel - ''Punk? You coming?''

Punk sort of looks around and, reluctantly gets up and follows his boys and Tammy as the screen fades to black.

((LINK OUT))

That's all for me today fans, be sure to log on tomorrow for Paul Lewis' official Super Brawl I (PPV) Preview and to get the latest on what's shaking up in the EWE.

''Super Brawl I (PPV) Official Preview'' by Paul Lewis

Super Brawl I is Sold Out and coming to you live from the 1st Mariner Arena in Baltimore, Maryland tomorrow night at 7 pm Eastern time with a Special ''Free-For-All'' edition of Saturday Night Wrestling at 6 pm Eastern time on YES! (Already booked for the ''Free-For-All'', tag team action with Nova & Chris Chetti reuniting to take on the Boogie Knights (Mike Tobin & Danny Drake) and some singles action when the FBI's Little Guido Maritato takes on Chad Collyer).

Right off the bat, it's an emotional weekend for many of us here at the EWE as we say our final goodbye to one of our close friends. B-Boy will wrestle tonight against Super Dragon and tomorrow night, on Pay-Per-View, B-Boy will wrestle his last ever match of his career when he takes on long-time CZW rival Sonjay Dutt. B-Boy came out of retirement to accept bookings for the EWE but his stay will be cut short as nagging injuries have resurfaced, forcing B-Boy's hand in hanging the boots once more and this time for (sadly) good.

The Junior Heavyweight Championship will be defended for the first time ever tomorrow night on Pay-Per-View when Michael Shane defends his newly won belt against one of the best Junior Heavyweights of all-time, Jerry Lynn. The decision to give Lynn the first crack at the belt came when EWE Officials met with Sonjay Dutt. As he was the clear cut contender to Shane's belt, but, that he had other obligations for the night, he decided that Jerry Lynn should take his place, and, whomever walks out of Super Brawl the Jr. Heavyweight Champion, will take on Sonjay Dutt in a Title Match on the next Tuesday Night Showdown!

What is bound to be a brutal affair and maybe the most violent match of the night, Justin Credible & Tommy Dreamer will tangle in the Stairway to Hell Match. Paul Heyman's creation, which pitted the Sandman & Sabu against one another in early 1997 will resurface for the 4th time only and for the 2nd time ever on Pay-Per-View. For Dreamer, this is more important than winning any titles, it's all about putting this feud against Credible to rest for good and finding that peace within that has eluded him for more than 7 years now when he was dropped on his neck, on Barbed Wire, in the middle of the ring in Los Angeles at ECW's HeatWave 2ooo against Credible. If you want blood, you'll be more than satisfied when these two put the dukes up and go at it wihtout reserve.

What started as your once in a lifetime Dream Match has escalated into one of the hottest competitive feuds in all of wrestling. Tajiri & Daniels, the perfect match for one another in that ring, but also, the best of enemies. Their match at Super Brawl will mark the one month anniversary of their classic encounter at Retaliation. This time, the stakes have doubled. Pride has let way for Championship Gold in the form of the EWE Television Championship. Daniels has been on a tear since winning the Gold and has put down every Challenger that has come his way thus far. Tajiri will get his first crack at Daniels and the TV Belt. The 15 minute tv time limit is still in play, and it could very well prove to be Daniels' easy way out at Super Brawl.

Our brothers from the Ring of Honor get to shine on Pay-Per-View for the second straight month. These Showcase matches have been getting rave reviews from fans of the EWE who had never heard of ROH before, and this time, the ROH Tag Team Champions the Briscoes, come to the EWE and Pay-Per-View to put the belts up and defend them against their nemesis in the Age of the Fall. The two newest of members of the Age of the Fall, Joey Matthews & Sterling James Keenan will try and prove their worth to their fellow AOTF'ers by upsetting the Briscoes, but more than that, it's the Age of the Fall's crusade that could take center stage and finally put a dent in the Briscoes seemingly umpregnable armor. Rain will be at ringside for her men and she could very well prove to be the decided factor in this all important match for ROH and its Tag Team Champions.

And speaking of tag teams, the 4 Team League Challenge will get underway this weekend, closing out on the Saturday Pay-Per-View. The Backseat Boyz with their win at last month's Retaliation walk in the League Challenge with a 2 points advantage over all of other three teams. It's now all up to either Da Baldies, the James Gang or the Second City Saints to step up and work their way ahead of the Backseat Boyz to be crowned the first ever pair of EWE Tag Team Champions. It's the Da Baldies' toughness, the cunningness of the Backseat Boyz, the experience of the James Gang and the never say die attitude of the Second City Saints, all for one, one title, the EWE Tag Team Championship.

And then there were 4, the 8 Men League Challenge will also rage on this weekend, 8 wrestlers who've qualified through various ways in the past few weeks, most of them by being the last 8 of the 20 participants in the Battle Royal at Retaliation, the others, winning all important matches on Tuesday Night Showdown. When the weekend's over, we will have in front of us the 4 men that will move on to Wrestling Classic where, we will finally crown our first ever EWE Heavyweight Champion. This weekend's all about endurance and stamina, a possible 7 matches for all 8 wrestlers in 48 hours. A huge mountain to climb, but the reward at the end is more than worth it. It's Lance Storm, Samoa Joe, Muhammad Hassan, Chris Jericho, Sid Vicious, Rob Van Dam, Mr. Kennedy & Sting. And 4 of these men will be one step closer to glory when Super Brawl comes to a halt. Some will look for a taste of that all elusive gold they've never tasted. Others, longing for past memories of times on top. But in the end, it's about being the flagship of the EWE. the EWE Heavyweight Champion.

And last but not least, the ECW Championship Match. All the money that has been spent on lawyers, trying to keep this whole situation with CM Punk's departure from Stamford have made this one of the hottest feuds anywhere at the moment. Steve Corino was in the 8 Men League Challenge but when he saw the spotlight slip away from him and move over to CM Punk, the jealousy that has been brewing between these two men for almost 6 years now has come to its boiling point. Former ECW Champion Steve Corino with Allison Danger in his corner, to challenge CM Punk, the current ECW Champion, with Tammy Lynn Sytch in his corner. It's not just a title match, it's not just a grudge match, it's not just the Old School Heroes against the Second City Saints. It's all about the ECW Name. It's been dragged through mud, spit on, laughed at, and ridiculed long enough. CM Punk & Steve Corino will hold nothing back, no matter if they ''f@ck up'' or make this ''awesome'', the ECW name will rise out of the ashes like a Phoenix at Super Brawl, and when all the dust settles, the ECW name will have been saved from forever ending doom, by either its cursor, or its savior, either way, the ECW Championship Bout will be all about the ECW Spirit living on for eternity.

Fans, if you can't find tickets for this show, I don't blame you, but please, do whatever it takes for you and your friends to catch this historic event in the EWE's short lived history. Maryland has accepted us with open arms earlier this week with Tuesday Night Showdown, now they get to see us break the packaging loose and burst out in an all out war against Sports Entertainment in the first ever EWE Double Shot Weekend starting tonight and ending on Pay-Per-View tomorrow night. Now the future of this business has the biggest stage it could ever wish to shine upon. It's up to you folks at home to support the future of this business by either watching the live feed on our website or by calling your local cable provider or satellite company to order Super Brawl I!!!

So long.

''ROH ''Eye of the Storm'' Recap + ROH & EWE Agree on 2 Talent Exchanges.''

Hi fans, this is James Salazar, early Saturday morning, as I make my way to the 1st Mariner Arena after talking on the phone for 3 hours with our good friend Chris Lovey, who gave me the rundown for last night's ROH Event entitled ''Eye of the Storm''.

Deer Park was hit with tremendously bad weather and many ROH wrestlers were missing from last night's card, which left ROH officials with no other choice but to re-shuffle their night's card of action and come up with a 1 night Tournament to determine a new Number 1 Contender at Nigel McGuinness' Championship in the months to come.

Luckily for us, the dream match between the returning 2 Cold Scorpio and Tyler Black did indeed take place and neither men were left to fend for themselves in the cold blizzard that hit the Long Island region.

The first Round matches of the tournament went as follows:

-''American Dragon'' Bryan Danielson defeated Rocky Romero.
-''Mr. Wrestling'' Kevin Steen defeated Delirious.
-''The Generic Luchadore'' El Generico defeated Austin Aries (upset?!)
- Go Shiozaki (Pro Wrestling NOAH Fame) defeated Necro Butcher.

Before intermission, ''Super Agent'', Larry Sweeney, along with Chris Hero, Matt Sydal & Lizzy Valentine introduced their newest ''Sweet & Sour Inc.'' member, but not before Claudio Castagnoli crashed the party and said he had just made it to the arena and almost had two crashes on the way there. Claudio tried challenging Hero to an impromptu match, but instead, Sweeney offered Claudio a matchup against Matt Sydal. Claudio pushed Sydal to the side and went nose to nose with Hero until Adam Pearce ran out from the back. Pearce pearl harbored Claudio and Hero & Sydal & Sweeney all jumped Clastagnoli. Hero put Claudio down with the Hero's Welcome before Adam Pearce ascended the top turnbuckles and dropped a big Guillotine Legdrop on Claudio. Sweeney then announced Pearce as his newest acquisition.

*INTERMISSION*

Back from intermission, the tournament continued with the two Semi-Finals matches:

-''Mr. Wrestling'' Kevin Steen defeated ''American Dragon'' Bryan Danielson. (upset no. 2!?)
- Go Shiozaki defeated El Generico.

A 4 Corner Survival match followed, pitting Pelle Primeau, Mitch Franklin, Human Tornado and Jason Blade against each other. Jason Blade pinned Franklin to escape out of Deer Park with the win.

The Dream Match between Scorpio & Tyler Black followed. Both men went at it full speed for the opening 5 minutes, and, once they were both accustomed to one another enough, it was a game of ''can-you-top-this''. Black had a hard time countering the power game of Scorpio but showed 2 Cold he wasn't the only one who could take to the air with ease. In the end, the Age of the Fall ran down to ringside and while Jimmy Jacobs distracted the referee, Zach Gowen smacked Scorpio against the side of the head with his prostetic leg and enable Black to score the big pinfall victory after the Small Package Driver.

Immediately after the bell rung, the Vulture Squad (Ruckus & Jigsaw) ran down to ringside and a tag team match was on hand. Ruckus & Jigsaw came out victorious in this one when Gowen was the recipient of a trio of top rope splashes and crazy flip dives from Scorpio, Jigsaw & Ruckus. Scorpio then partied with Jigsaw & Ruckus and told the ROH Fans that they'd be in the back getting high all night, so, if anyone had added ''good stuff'', they could get in through the back door and come party with them.

The festivities let way for the all important Tournament Finals Match pitting Steen & Shiozaki against one another.

In a tremendous wrestling match, ''Mr. Wrestling'' Kevin Steen pulled off the big win over Shiozaki and earned himself a future ROH Championship bout against either McGuinness, Danielson, or whomever is the Champion once his Title Shot comes along.

After the show, EWE Officials contacted two of Ring of Honor's most promising wrestlers to sign them to an exclusive talent exchange contract between ROH & the EWE and we are glad here at the EWE to welcome Kevin Steen & El Generico to our official Roster and you should them debut on EWE Television in the weeks following this weekend of action.

I will be back later on today with a recap of last night's action from the 1st Mariner Arena to give you all the details about what happened in the 4 Team & 8 Men League Challenge plus much more from the first night of the Super Brawl Weekend of Action.

Later.

''Super Brawl I (Friday Night Live Show) Recap''

I'm on my way to the arena as we speak, this is James Salazar, and you are reading another one of my official blog updates. The ''Free-For-All'' edition of Saturday Night Wrestling is just about getting ready to start as we speak in less than 20 minutes and if my cab driver doesn't get a move on, I'll be very, utterly p'oed!

But, I've got a job to do and I'm going to do right now. As I promised for those of you who logged in earlier on in the day, this is my recap from last night's first night of Super Brawl Action.

As always, the festivities got underway with our Ring Announcer Bob Artese welcoming everyone to the 1st Mariner Arena and to Night 1 of the Super Brawl Weekend.

The 8 Men League Challenge got underway with 2 matches:

- Chris Jericho def. Lance Storm with the Rock 'N' Rolla (aka Codebreaker).
- Rob Van Dam def. Mr. Kennedy with the Van Daminator.

Both men earned themselves 2 points in the ''8MLC''. Next was the start of the 4 Team League Challenge with Da Baldies taking on the Second City Saints. Colt Cabana dropped Devito with the Colt .45 for the victory in this wild brawl that spilled all around ringside. The SCS earning themselves 2 points in the ''4TLC''

8 Men League Challenge (Continued):

- Sting defeated Muhammad Hassan with the Scorpion Deathdrop.
- Samoa Joe defeated Sid Vicious by submission with the Kokina Clutch after a gruesome and hard fought battle by both men. Joe slipping out of a Chokeslam and hooking on his dreaded choke and never letting go of Sid.

4 Team League Challenge (Continued):

- the James Gang defeated the Backseat Boyz when BG & Kip dropped Acid on his neck with a Spike Piledriver!

Next up was Super Dragon taking on B-Boy. Before the match, Dragon spoke out on his long time opponent in B-Boy and said he would hold nothing back even if this was supposed to be B-Boy's big night to shine before his last hourrah! Both men wrestled their hearts out but in the end, Super Dragon defeated B-Boy without showing any remorse with a Super Psycho Driver. After the match, B-Boy still extended his hand to Super Dragon and in the end, respect prevailed between the two men.

8 Men League Challenge Round 2:

- Mr. Kennedy def. Lance Storm with the Mic Check.
- Rob Van Dam def. Chris Jericho after reversing the Lion Tamer into a Small Package for the quick pinfall. Even though Jericho looked flustered, he and Van Dam still shook hands.

The SHIMMER Championship was up for grabs next when Cheerleader Melissa challenged the seemingly unstoppable Sara Del Rey. Del Rey was out alone for this one, so the level playing field was evened up for Melissa in comparison to their first contest against one another at Retaliation. Both women poured their hearts out for the Championship in just around 15 minutes, grabbed the crowd in the palm of their hands. Melissa was looking as sharp as ever, but in the end, the brute strenght and uncanny toughness of Sara Del Rey proved too much for Melissa to overcome. Del Rey hooked Melissa for the Royal Butterfly and dropped her back and neck first against the corner turnbuckles in a sick display of body bending, only to then hook Melissa in the Japanese Stranglehold and driving both her knees against Melissa who passed out to the sheer pressure of this hold, giving Del Rey the victory. Melissa was helped to the back but reports indicate ''she'll be okay''.

8 Men League Challenge Round 2 (Continued):

- Sid Vicious def. Muhammad Hassan with a Powerbomb.
- Samoa Joe & Sting battled to a 15 Minute Time Limit DRAW. (Both men receive 1 point)

***INTERMISSION***

Back from the intermission, we were treated to some Ring of Honor action. Sterling James Keenan set to take on Mark Briscoe, Rain, compsicuous by her absence tonight. Both Keenan & Briscoe mixed up well in the ring and both men were able to connect with some of their most recognized and tried, true and tested offensive maneuvers. In the end, when Mark Briscoe looked like he was about to put this one in the bag, Joey Matthews ran down to ringside and allowed SJK to grab his own cane and smack it against Mark Briscoe's back and then against Mark's windpipes, throwing the evidence away and rolling up Mark Briscoe for the quick and cheap win. Brother Jay ran down to ringside but the Age of the Fall quickly b-lined it in the crowd.

8 Men League Challenge Round 3:

- Muhammad Hassan def. Lance Storm by submission with the Modified Camel Clutch.
- Mr. Kennedy def. Sid Vicious with help from the Elite (Sonny Siaki & Elijah Burke) after the Greenbay Plunge. While Kennedy was distracting referee Jim Molineux, Burke & Siaki rushed the ring with Steel Chairs and decimated Sid. Burke then hit the Burke Breakdown (aka Lung Blower) on Sid, which then allowed Kennedy to climb to the top and drop across Sid's sternum for the payback victory.

Joey Matthews & Jay Briscoe were set to do battle next. And they did just that. While Matthews was walking down towards the ring, he was jumped by Jay and we had an out of control brawl all around the arena between both men. The match then moved back inside of the ring and officialy started. In the end, even after SJK's arrival, and Mark Briscoe's (clearly having trouble breathing after that vicious shot to the throat he received earlier), Jay Briscoe put Joey Matthews away with the Jay Driller. Setting up the Briscoes' Tag Team Title Defense tonight on Pay-Per-View.

8 Men League Challenge Round 3 (Continued):

- Samoa Joe def. Chris Jericho with the Muscle Buster.
- Rob Van Dam def. Sting with the Five Star Frog Splash in a Classic Bout.

The night was supposed to end on this very positive note, but, before the lights could be turned off, Steve Corino & the Old School Heroes (Allison Danger, Traci Brooks, Christopher Daniels & Michael Shane) walked down to the ring. They bragged about good they were and that they did not compete tonight because they were too good for a non-PPV audience. Their mouths were shut pretty quickly when a suprising trio consisted of CM Punk, Yoshihiro Tajiri & Jerry Lynn walked out from the back, accompanied by Tammy Lynn Sytch. Punk challenged Corino and his men to a 6 Men Tag Team Match and we had ourselves an Impromptu Main Event!

After an all out battle, in the end, CM Punk and his team won when Punk hit the GTS on Michael Shane for the pinfall victory!

Punk, Tajiri & Lynn celebrated in the ring while Corino regrouped his forces for tonight.

So, there you have it, I'm about to set foot inside of the arena and you still have time to call and buy Super Brawl on Pay-Per-View, because it is bound to be quite the night of wrestling action! So long!

I also wasn’t thrilled with the fast eliminations in the gauntlet but I understand why you did it. Having Traci proposition Helms was a unique tactic and the ending really put over Shane as a spiffy heel. He really does fit the profile of an Old School Hero. I guess Dutt needed the push the most after his loss to David Young a few weeks back because he’ll be facing B-Boy at the PPV. Although it was overkill having him pick up 3 victories in a matter of a little over 4 minutes.

The heel promo was enjoyable for the most part. Sid came across as a bumbling, raving lunatic which is a good thing since he’s a heel and it made me detest him.
