Re: EWE (Extreme Wrestling Entertainment) by LegendofBaseball
TUESDAY NIGHT SHOWDOWN
Live on NBC
Tuesday, February 19th, 2008
Upper Marlboro, MD (Show Place Arena)
// EWE_Pro_Wrestling.Com Live Feed Version without Commercials //
DARK MATCH
Chris Chetti beat Adam Flash (PWU Fame) in 9:08 with the "Amytiville Horror".
***OPEN FEED***
This week's edition of Tuesday Night Showdown opens up with the usual video, to Metallica's "Some Kind of Monster", showcasing the EWE Talent in all its glory and prowesses of skill. The video ends and the cameras take us inside an unfamiliar and larger building than the Hammerstein Ballroom, the Show Place Arena in Upper Marlboro, Maryland. A small graphic appears at the bottom of the screen; on the left side, reading "LIVE! UPPER MARLBORO, MD!" The cameras pan around to a rather large crowd (some parts of the arena a bit blacked out to show the not totally filled out capacity of the venue, still, by the looks of it, the larger floor sections look all sold out and filled with fans). We're then taken to some sort of suite in the upper decks of the arena where we are officialy welcomed to tonight's broadcast by Joey Styles & Jesse Ventura, their backs turned to the massive crowd behind them.
Joey Styles - "Welcome to Extreme Wrestling Entertainment, you are watching Tuesday Night Showdown, alongside myself, the one and only Jesse "the Body" Ventura, I am, Joey Styles and Jesse, tonight, as we step outside of our home away from home, the Hammerstein Ballroom, Upper Marlboro gets to be the first ever city to witness EWE action live, and what an action packed show we have for our fans just mere days away from the Super Brawl Weekend!"
Jesse Ventura - "Positively Joey Styles, two title matches, plus, the gigantic 8-Men Tag Team Matchup with all 8 of the participants in the 8 Men League Challenge this weekend, and I can just feel it in the air, something big is bound to happen once we close out this show."
Joey Styles - "You might be right, but, let's not waste any time, and like it's been reported on EWE_Pro_Wrestling.Com just a few days ago, EWE Officials have decided to bring to the EWE yet another Championship, the Junior Heavyweight Championship, and right now, six of the EWE's top junior wrestlers will take part in this 6 Men Gauntlet Affair to crown the very holder of that Belt so let's take it down to ringside with Bob Artese to kick off Tuesday Night Showdown with a bang!"
Cameras turn now to the longer (in walking distance) and larger (instead of being up a stage with some small stairs, a simple metallic setting with the EWE letters and a brand new double "TNS" & "Tuesday Night Showdown" neon setting stands in between the black curtains, just below the digital screen and the rest being covered by a giant black curtain) entrance way.
***WHAT YOU KNOW ABOUT THAT?***
The first performer to make his way out from the back is none other than the Old School Heroes' own, Michael Shane, accompanied to the ring by Traci Brooks and a shower of well derserved boos.
***NO SLEEP 'TILL BROOKLYN w/ STAYIN' ALIVE (REMIX) INTRO***
Out next is the FBI's own "Big" Sal E. Rinauro, a huge smile on his face, being escorted to the ring by the fiery Trinity, sporting the Italian colors and sporting them proudly.
***REVOLVER***
Joey Styles - "All 6 wrestler will make their way out to the ring, and, courtesy of a random drawing that was made earlier today, each wreslter will be stepping into the ring according to their respective number of entry, which thus far, have been kept a secret to all of us."
Receiving a mild pop, Shane Helms makes his way out to the ring, sporting a somewhat similar look than what the mainstream fans of wreslting have been accustomed to seeing him in, long trench coat, doo rag, and his trademark wrestling thights. Helms makes his way first EWE TV appearance tonight and has a tremendous opportunity to catapult himself right at the top of the junior division here in the EWE if he can win the Jr. Heavyweight Belt.
***HYBRID STIGMATA***
ROH's special entrant into this Gauntlet Match makes his way next to the best pop of the night. Delirious remains standing and jumping around after walking out from the back and quickly runs down to the ring, running around and making a lot of ringsiders move out of Delirious' way, especially the wrestlers who just slid under the bottom rope and into the ring to escape this somewhat raving lunatic. Delirious finaly rolled back in and perched himself down in a corner, looking at his opponents moving back out of the ring.
***THE POTION***
Another good pop for the next participant, Sonjay Dutt. Looking to bounce back from his defeat at the hands of David Young a couple weeks back, Sonjay looks pretty confident tonight and relaxed as he steps into the ring, setting up the first 2 wrestlers to start this gauntlet in Dutt & Delirious.
***LYING FROM YOU***
And the last and final entrant, Billy Kidman. Kidman gets another good pop from the crowd as he takes time to clap a few of the fans' hands and make his way around the ring, sizing up the rest of the competition, himself being a true veteran of these kind of wars going back to the days of the old WCW.
*DING-DING*
Gauntlet Match
Junior Heavyweight Championship
Michael Shane w/ Traci Brooks Vs. Big Sal E. Rinauro w/ Trinity Vs. Shane Helms Vs. Delirious Vs. Sonjay Dutt Vs. Billy Kidman
Once the bell rings, Delirious just goes into a frenzy, rolling around the ring and just throwing Sonjay off his game. This gets the ire of Ventura up even more with his disdain for the Ring of Honor wrestlers, as Joey Styles is quick to explain that Delirious was chosen by EWE Officials not at random, but because they felt he had showed quite a lot of stride when he appeared in the 6-Men Tag Team Impromptu matchup at Retaliation alongside ROH Champion Nigel McGuinness & Bryan Danielson in a winning effort against the Hangmen3 (Pearce, Albright & Whitmer). And that Delirious would surely add an air of unpredictability to what promises to be a fast paced and high octane contest. Delirious & Dutt really opened this matchup with quite the fury and intensity, mostly working each other's arm for a few seconds before going into overdrive. Dutt picked up the quick first elimination when Delirious was attempting a Top Rope Back Suplex on Dutt. Dutt elbowed Delirious off the top rope and flew through the air with the Hindu Press for the pinfall elimination @ 1:15. Next to come in: Billy Kidman. Kidman didn't jump Dutt but there was no rest period for Sonjay either. After a bit more than a minute of intense action, Dutt wasn't able to pick up where he left off and Kidman was able to get the upper hand of Dutt quickly. But Dutt found a way to keep himself in this matchup by all means necessary. Kidman was perched on the top rope and hooked Dutt for a Super BK Bomb. At the last split second, Dutt reversed the hold into a Super Hurrancanrana and immediately pinned Kidman hooking both his legs after both men had crashed hard on the canvas @ 2:45. Next up: Big Sal E. Rinauro. Unlike Kidman, Rinauro was quick to attack Dutt as he was trying to get his wits back about him. But, Rinauro's cocky italian nature played to his disadvantage and after having put Dutt down for a few near falls, Rinauro took too long on a Springboard Guillotine Legdrop and was the victim of the 2nd ropes Springboard Corsckrew Sento & Moonsault respectively as Dutt picked up his 3rd straight win in this Gauntlet Match!! @ 4:25.
Next up is:.... Apparently Michael Shane but, instead of going in immediately, Shane walked over to Shane Helms and sent Traci over to whisper something in Helms' ear. Helms seemed eager to lisent to what Traci had to say and, agreed to step in the ring before Michael Shane. Michael Shane received quite a few jeers from the crowd as he allowed himself some more rest on the outside while Helms went out to do his bidding, Helms looking outside of the ring at Shane and motioning that after he took care of the beaten down Dutt, it would be him and Shane for the belt, to which Shane nodded in agreement with a cocky smile, Traci over on his shoulder, winking at Helms. Helms turned his attention quickly back to Dutt and was a true surgeon in the ring once he locked himself on the task at hand, Sonjay Dutt! Sonjay had done, thus far, the impossible, elimination half of the men in this match in less than 5 minutes. But this insanely quick action took its toll on Dutt and Helms worked over on Dutt for the next 5 minutes, not able to put him out. Dutt kicking out of Helms's every move. Helms put Dutt down with his modified Neckbreaker and then targeted in on Dutt, ready to take him out with the Shining Wizard no. 2. Helms charged but Dutt ducked down and hooked Helms up with a School Boy!! Referee's in position and administers the count on Helms and Dutt pins Helms out of nowhere!!!!! @ 11:09. Helms can't believe it and tears off his doo rag off his head!! Helms walks past the referee and picks Dutt up, VERTEBREAKER by Helms on Dutt!!! Helms storms out of the ring while referees just come down to escort him backstage. Michael Shane stayed on the outside and then quickly jumped up on the apron, having finally reached his time to enter the match. Shane climbs up to the top rope from the outside and flies through the air, connecting with the Picture Perfect Elbow on Dutt! Referee John Finnegan is a bit unsure of whether to count or not but does so after the verbal abuse dished out by Shane while waiting for Finnegan to make the cover. Finnegan drops down and counts Dutt's shoulders down and... urghhh, we have ourselves our very first EWE Junior Heavyweight Champion in Michael Shane @ (11:41)
Joey Styles - "What a robbery!! Michael Shane barely even spent more than 5 seconds in the ring and you're going to tell me he's our very first Junior Heavyweight Champion!?!?!!
Traci slides under the bottom rope and jumps into Michael Shane's arms while the referee presents Shane, reluctanly, the spankin' brand new Junior Heavyweight Championship Belt (somewhat similar to the 1986 edition of the WWF World Title in its shape). Traci grabs a hold of it and while Shane poses with his arms held high up in the air, Traci wraps the belt around Shane's waist.
Jesse Ventura - "You're just mad because your favorite didn't win Joey Styles, admit it, you don't like Michael Shane very much and you're just mad because Sonjay entered as one of the first men in that ring while Michael Shane drew up a late number!"
Joey Styles - "It's not about who's favorites won or who got the better draw! It's about Michael Shane, I don't want to use that term but, to hell with it, it's about Michael Shane weaseling his way to victory!"
Jesse Ventura - "You know as well as I do that in professional wrestling a man's only goal is to win by any which way he can Joey Styles, so don't give me none of these excuses. It's enough I had to endure watching an outcast, that green lizard trying his best to impersonate a pro wrestler, just, let me enjoy this historic moment while I can!"
Joey Styles - "....Well, be that as it may, you're right about one thing, this is history in the making as Michael Shane... urghh, becomes the first ever EWE Junior Heavyweight Champion and adds yet another Championship to the Old School Heroes' stable!"
While receiving the boos from the crowd, Dutt in the background just getting back to, being helped by the referee, Shane & Traci walk back towards the locker room, close to each other, soaking in this historic moment while the Backseat Boyz make their way out from the back to greet them and taunt the fans and a far away Sonjay Dutt.
Joey Styles - "Standing by, with one half of tonight's Main Event, our colleague, Mean Gene Okerlund... I can't believe Michael Shane had to..."
Cameras cut to the backstage area, everyone's there, Mean Gene, as mentioned by Joey Styles, and then, the "heel" side of tonight's Main Event. Sid Vicious, towering right next to Mean Gene on Gene's right. Muhammad Hassan and Daivari stand on Mean Gene's left, while Kennedy is right there behind Mean Gene and Lance Storm stands with a cold stare on his face with Dawn Marie, jubilant, at his side besides Sid Vicious, Dawn Marie giving some intriguing stares to the big and tall Sid.
Mean Gene Okerlund - "Gentlemen, in just a matter of minutes now, you 4 will tangle with the other half of the 8 Men to participate in this weekend's 8 Men League Challenge at Super Brawl I, I have to ask, knowing that at Super Brawl you four will have to tangle and with such high stakes riding on all of your matches, how can you keep yourselves egos at the door?"
Mean Gene has barely finished asking his question that Sid Vicious begins spewing at the mouth, water flying around everywhere from his blond curls and from his face while he screams out in the microphone.
Sid Vicious - "Little Man! You need not worry about us!! We all know how important this matchup tonight is going to be! We are bound by partnership tonight! But once we win, the gloves are coming off, and no matter what they all think right now... they know that I am the Master... and Ruler...."
Dawn Marie moves in between Mean Gene & Sid and she sort of whispers in Gene's microphone to Mean Gene.
Dawn Marie - "Are the cameras rolling?"
With a huge innocent and naive smile on her face. Mean Gene looks down and then looks straight through the lens of the camera before Sid continues his speech, a bit flustered by all of this...
Sid Vicious - "Like I was just about to tell each and everyone of you... you know that I am the Master... and Ruler...."
Dawn Marie - "Look Mister, I don't know where you came from, but, I want to get some air time tooooo!!!"
With a winning tone to her voice. Before smiling for the cameras and pampering around. Mr. Kennedy then steps in.
Mr. Kennedy - "Look, we all know what we need to do tonight, and we all know who's going to win at Super Brawl, so let's not waste time with..."
Muhammad Hassan - "Before you mention my name, I think I should step in and tell you guys that as far as tonight's concerned, you'll have just follow my lead, and everything will fall into place accordingly."
Storm moves in from way back, getting the support of Dawn Marie who holds her man's shoulders as he speaks.
Lance Storm - "There's just one man everyone of you should be following tonight, and fearing at the Pay-Per-View, and this man is from Calgary..... Alberta...."
Mr. Kennedy - "This ain't from anywhere I know!"
A shuffle erupts between Hassan, Kennedy & Storm has Mean Gene tries to get some semblance of order back into this interview.
Mean Gene - "Gentlemen, gentlemen, please!"
Sid just grabs the microphone and pushes poor old Mean Gene away, but not down, and is fuming from every which way, sending his troops, so to speak, storming out of shot or far away from it.
Sid Vicious - "ENOUGH!!! THERE IS ONLY ONE MAN STRONG ENOUGH AND POWERFUL ENOUGH TO WALK IN FRONT OF YOU ALL.... And that goes for you to Samoa Joe.... AND HIS NAME ISSSSSS.... Sid.... Enough...Said."
Sid drops the microphone down and walks in front of the camera still screaming.
Sid Vicious - "YOUR LOOKING AT THE CHAMPION RIGHT HERE JOE!!! STING!!! THE MAN IS STANDING IN FRONT OF YOU ALLL BECAUSE I RULE THE WORRLLLDDDDDD!!!!!"
Image cuts back to ringside (mercifully).
***BABY HATES ME***
Joey Styles - "Well we're getting ready for our second match of the night but, what commotion, I don't think this team will be able to make it to the Main Event, let alone try and co-exist with one another!"
Jesse Ventura - "Wait 'till we hear from the other 4 men Joey Styles, what we saw what nothing but confidence from these 4, but, I'm sure that as we speak, Samoa Joe, Sting, Chris Jericho & Rob Van Dam are just waiting to get their cheap shots in on one another, with egos that big all stacked up into one package, their balloon's bound to burst at any moment!"
Meanwhile, Buff Bagwell makes his way out from the back, to the delight of the many female fans in the crowd, or so it would seem, as their frantic screams just amplify with each passing second. Buff gets a nice pop from the Maryland crowd, his number of years in WCW made him stample around that area and Buff is feeling quite at ease in front of a few fans he's probably wrestled in front of numerous times before.
***WE GONNA WIN (THEY GONNA LOSE)***
The opponent steps out from the back, two thirds of the Elite, "the Silver Tongued Pugilist" Elijah Burke, followed closely by his corner men for the night, another white towel; just like the one Elijah always carries out with him, around Sonny Siaki's neck. Siaki pumps Burke up as Burke prefers badmouthing and insulting the fans in the front row and making fun of "Buff Daddy" in the ring.
Singles Match
Elijah Burke w/ Sonny Siaki Vs. Buff Bagwell
This matchup starts off with your typical "heat-generating-tactics" from both men, as Elijah proclaims his greatness; failing miserably at it. While Buff Bagwell starts up a "BURKE SUCKS" chant. Both men feel each other out in their first time ever meeting in the opening seconds but, soon enough, after a quick flurry of offense from Bagwell, Burke gets the upper hand on his opponent and works a mat game on him to take away from Buff's undeniable strenght and tremendous bursts of energy. Buff tries mounting a comeback late in the match, but Burke remains strong and, with the encouragments of Siaki on the outside and, with the occasional trip of the leg, Burke is able to put this one away. Bagwell Scoop Slammed Burke down and hit the ropes, but; as it was just mentioned a few words back, Siaki tripped Bagwell's leg. Bagwell remained on his feet and went out after Siaki, lunging for him from the inside. Burke was able to, unbeknownst to Buff, step out onto the apron and catch Bagwell with a Running Knee right to the temple of Bagwell. Bagwell had the upper half of his body out in between the top and middle rope and after the brunt of that blow, wound up rolling over to the nearest corner. Burke moved back inside of the ring, put his kneepads down and rushed at Bagwell and connected with the Elijah Express, before adding a new maneuver to his arsenal, the Lung Blower (aka Back Stabber), immediately hitting it after having already put both of his unprotected knees in the spine of Bagwell. Bagwell receives the impact dead on and falls right back down on his back, Elijah covers Buff and gets the duke @ (6:38).
Elijah is helped back up by Siaki. Both men celebrate while Burke moves over to the camera on the apron and speaks out, telling everyobody at home that "The Elite is here to stay" and that "Many more men will fall victim to the "Burke Breakdown"!
*** Video promoting Super Brawl I, this weekend, the live event on Friday Night and the Pay-Per-View on Saturday Night at the 1st Mariner Arena in Baltimore, Maryland, special start time of 6 pm Eastern with the "Free-For-All" show on YES. ***
We come back to live action with, already in the ring, ready for the next match, Jason Cross being introduced to the crowd, receiving a minimal pop, Jason Cross' name not too familiar with the people in Upper Marlboro it would seem, still a competitor not to be taken lightly by anyone. The lights in the arena suddenly dim down....
***MISERIA CANTARE (THE BEGINNING)***
Joey Styles - "What?... What's..."
Nobody really knows what to make of this, Joey Styles clearly not aware of this change in the lineup. Jason Cross was supposed to take on Steve Corino right here and right now but it would seem as though CM Punk will grace the Show Place Arena with his presence, which, receives a great ovation from the fans.... And here comes CM P.....
Joey Styles - "Are you kidding.... are.... are you kidding me?!"
Out from the back comes Steve Corino dressed as CM Punk of old with some black basketball shorts and a Puma (tm) vest on, closely followed by Allison Danger, "throwing up the X" for the Straight Edge followers, a complete mockery of CM Punk and what CM Punk stands for! Tremendous heat falls on Corino and Danger while they make their way out to the ring. The lights go back on while Punk's music dies down. Still, Corino has remained quite serious, as has Danger, from the minute they stepped out from the back, staying in character? But which one!?
Corino and Cross step in front of each other, referee Jim Molineux stepping in between the both of them, explaining the rules of this matchup to them both, Allison Danger behind her brother, "massaging" his shoulders while he holds both his hands, loosening up his wrists a la CM Punk. Jim Molineux ask both men if they're ready but Corino yells out "Wait!". Corino points out to his vest and slowly takes it off.... revealing some fake tatoos all over his not very chiseled physique! A Cola-Cola emblem on his left shoulder, a bunch of cards all over the place, a web with the number "7" on his right elbow, and, of all things, the words "Old School Heroes" on his belly on a his hand tape, showing it off to the camera for added insult the inscription (starting from one hand and finishing off on the other) "Me Likes to Drink!". Jason Cross becomes quite impatient and gets into Steve Corino's face. From behind, Allison Danger with a low blow to Jason Cross!
Singles Match
Steve Corino w/ Allison Danger Vs. Jason Cross
Referee Jim Molineux rings the bell and immediately Corino picks up Cross in the Fireman's Carry position... Go To Sleep! Corino covers Cross and gets the cheap win @ (0:06).
Out from the back comes a rushing and fuming CM Punk!!!! Unbeknownst to Corino Punk slides under the bottom rope and immediately tackles down Corino and begins wailing away at the Canadian native. Allison Danger comes up from behind and tears away at CM Punk's hair, draggin him away from Corino momentarily. Another huge pop as, less quickly, Tammy Lynn Sytch!!! runs to ringside and enters the ring, taking off her high heels and grabbing Allison from behind and dragging her down to the mat below, jumping on her like a raving (cat) lunatic!
Joey Styles - "Caaatttfighhttt!"
Jesse Ventura - "Somebody needs to stop this unprovoked attack on Corino and poor Allison Danger!!"
Both women roll around and find themselves rolling over to the outside. Meanwhile Punk has Corino back up and he Irish Whips into the nearest corner. Running Muay Thai High Knee from Punk connects on Corino. Punk calling for the Running Bulldog Jam!! Punk runs forward but Corino pushes Corino away and he rolls over to the outside. He grabs a hold of Allison Danger by the waist, lifting her up in the air and taking her away from Tammy while he scurries back to the outside. Punk's music hits as he helps back into the ring the Original Diva, Sunny. Punk calls out with a huge smile to Corino, listening to a make believe watch and counting down the seconds before they two officialy lock up. Tammy puts her hand on Punk's shoulder and extends her hand, as she promised, thus far, she's been loyal and has helped CM Punk in her battle in numbers against Steve Corino and his Old School Heroes. Punk accepts the handshake and Tammy lift Punk's arm in the air, showing him off to the quite happy Upper Marlboro crowd as we cut to a promotional video.

Cameras cut back to ringside.
Joey Styles - "It is now time for this week's Ring of Honor Showcase match, as we welcome to our broadcast position the voice of Ring of Honor and Saturday Night Wrestling, Chris Lovey."
Chris Lovey - "It's always nice to join you Joey, and, what a Showcase Ring of Honor has put forth here tonight. On one side of the ring, Brent Albright, his legendary father, Gary Albright, one of the most feared men in all of Japan for his tremendous suplexes and throws, teaming up with probably the stiffest kicks in all of wrestling right now, the No Remorse Corps own Rocky Romero and, on the other side of the ring you've got the Number 1 Contender at the Ring of Honor Title, Bryan Danielson to team up with ROH Champion Nigel McGuinness, this is one match I'm so glad I get to watch live."
***LO QUE PASO PASO***
First to make his way to the ring, Rocky "Azucar!" Romero. Sporting a NRC T-Shirt and sporting his usual grin, he jogs slowly while bouncing to the sound of his reggeaton type entrance music.
***I DON'T WANNA STOP***
The mood in the arena suddenly changes gear as one third of the Hangm3n 3 makes his way out to the ring, the most dangerous and lethal of them all, the Hired Gun, Brent Albright. Brent gets a few hand claps but mostly, the crowd remains kind of silent, mostly because they might be a bit unfamiliar with all these characters, but, soon enough, they will see just what Ring of Honor is all about.
***THE FINAL COUNTDOWN w/ INTRO EDIT***
Cheers echoe out from the Show Place Arena as the very familiar theme song to one of the greatest professional wrestlers in the world today blares out from the speakers. Danielson burst out from the curtain, jumping up and down and stretching out his shoulders, getting syched up for this all important bout. Danielson jogs down to the ring, clapping the fans hands and entering the ring to a good ovation as he poses for the crowd, sporting his very unique and William Regal like bourbon red like trunks, boots and knee pads.
***F@CKING IN THE BUSHES w/ LONDON BRIDGE INTRO***
And last but not least, Ring of Honor Champion Nigel McGuinness makes his way out from the back to quite a good reception from the Upper Marlboro fans. Nigel is focused as always, making his way over and around the ring, black shades covering up his eyes. He then slides under the bottom and turns, while still down, to face the crowd in front of him as he lays on his stomach, in between the apron and the bottom rope. Nigel then gets up in his very own fashion before throwing up his arms in the air, getting applauded by a large capacity of the ringside fans.
ROH Showcase Match
Tag Team Challenge Match
Brent Albright & Rocky Romero Vs. Nigel McGuinness (c) & Bryan Danielson
In the opening minutes of this contest, while Albright & Danielson wrestled a mat game, Joey Styles & Chris Lovey were quick to run down the history that will lead both McGuinness and Danielson to Ring of Honor's 6th Year Anniversary Show in Manhattan on the 23rd. The first ten minutes of this contest we're all about Danielson showing off against both Romero & Albright, McGuinness just staying on the apron and encouraging Danielson to remain in the contest, which didn't really sit well with the crowd whatsoever. Danielson blind tagged Nigel in, feeding him to Brent Albright. Nigel was quick to ask Brent to tag in Romero, the smaller of the two, Albright obliged but not before thinking about twice and even a third time. Nigel didn't stay in long and immediately tagged Danielson back in. Nigel then made his way down to the outside and jaw jacked with the perplexed fans. Danielson remained in the ring for the remainder of the match, getting worked over by both Albright & Romero, whom after some 25 minutes of being partners, started gelling pretty well. But Danielson was able to mount a comeback and get himself in very good position to win the matchup by his very own self. Danielson had hit Albright rushing into the corner with a vicious forearm shot and then, while ducking a Romero kick; that then connected with Albright and sent him tumbling to the outside, he Dragon Suplexed Romero out of his boots and then hooked in the Cattle Mutilation! Nigel blind tagged himself in by touching Danielson's nearest leg which angered the fans quite a bit. Nigel then pushed Danielson out of the way and worked over on the already out of it Romero, locking in the London Dungeon, to which Romero had to tap out to @ (29:02).
Danielson stood in the corner, soaking in sweat, exhausted from having spent almost nearly 30 minutes fending off the tremendous offensive power of both Brent Albright & Rocky Romero, all these efforts put to rest by Nigel's sudden cockiness and arrogance towards Danielson. Nigel was handed his title belt and he reached over to Danielson and raised his hand in the air, giving him the proper respect for having did 99 % percent of the work in this bout. Both men then started pissing off at the mouth, trying to figure out just what had happened. Nigel tried to apologize and Danielson sort of accepted until Nigel dropped his belt down and Short Arm Lariated!! Danielson out of his boot, before locking him the London Dungeon!!! A host of officials and referees ran down to try and stop this melee and Nigel obliged, the referees were able to get Nigel to exit the ring, only for him to arm himself with a Steel Chair and rush back in, slamming the weapon against Danielson's shoulder. Targeting it just mere days before their huge title bout! Nigel was showered with boos and was finally dragged out of the ring, still bad mouthing Danielson from a far.
Chris Lovey - "I can't believe that this is what Nigel wants the people watching to take as an image of what the Ring of Honor and what the Ring of Honor Champion and being the Champion's all about. This is nothing more than McGuinness knowing quite well he's never beaten Bryan before and that he'll do whatever it takes to finally exercise his demons, but Joey, that's taking it too far!"
Joey Styles - "After Bryan Danielson had been out there wrestling for damn near half an hour, Nigel McGuinness just blind sided the American Dragon and, Danielson looks seriously hurt as he's clutching on to his shoulder.... Chris we thank you for joining this week once again and best of luck with this weekend's Ring of Honor shows but I'm being told we must immediately send our cameras outside... what's going on outside?!"
Cameras take us almost nearly outside, in the parking lot area, which is opened up to outside because of these huge garage doors that remain open to air out the fumes of the many cars that come and go. A camera crew rushes towards the two visible form of life right next to the entrance of the actual arena. As the cameras get closer, we can clearly that one man is clearly one of the EWE's Commissioners, Ricky Steamboat, and the other, sporting a white bandage all over his head and his eye, Raven. As the camera gets even closer, we start to hear both of these men's conversation.
Ricky Steamboat - "Listen, Raven, I cannot let you go inside, the commission out here won't let us use as talent tonight because you're still prone to aggravating your injury, come on, don't go in there..."
Trying to put his hands on Raven, Raven then stops, puts his hands in his pockets and looks down before wiping the air that's free off of his face.
Raven - "I didn't come here as talent Ricky... I came here as Scotty... and, even though I've got all the respect in the world for what you did in this business, I won't have no problems whatsoever putting my hands on you if you don't let me go through."
Ricky takes his hands off of Raven and sighs, letting Raven pass.
Cameras cut back to the announce booth perched high in the rafters of the Show Place Arena.
Joey Styles - "I guess that Raven is officialy back with us after being forced out of action by Vampiro but... what could Raven, well, it's not even Raven we're supposedly dealing with here but Scotty Levy, I mean, what's he doing out here?"
Jesse Ventura - "I have no idea whatsoever myself, Raven was brutally attacked and his career his probably over, but, he shows up out here tonight, late, and, we don't even know if Vampiro is in the arena tonight as well."
Joey Styles - "Well, we have... wait hold on, they're telling me...."
Cameras switch positions and catch someone coming down through the crowd. A spotlight targets that man who's none other than Raven. Raven walks through the see of fans, down the stairs and then walks over through them on the floor before jumping the barricade and entering the ring, kneeling over to Bob Artese and grabbing a microphone from him, before settling down in the corner, arms perched on the middle ropes.
Raven - "You do want me so bad don't you?"
Raven then kneels and walks on his knees towards the middle of the ring.
Raven - "Then come and end me right now...."
Raven drops his microphone down and rests on the back of shins, his head down. People's chatters can be heard as both announcers don't know what to make of this either. Suddenly the crowd lets out a collective gasp of "ooohhh" as someone just jumps out from under the ring. Vampiro burst out from under the ring, weirdly dressed with a leather samurai like kilt that starts a bit higer than his belly button. His face all covered in white with a few black marks over his eyes. Vampiro carries some sort of weapon with him and slides under the bottom rope behind Raven. Vampiro takes his weapon off of its case and reveals a samurai like sword. People start panicking, the announcers out of their minds as well. Vampiro takes a swing but stops to everyone's delight. Vampiro moves in front of Raven and then tries the same thing once more as about 20 members of security start rushing to the ring but are stopped once picks the microphone back up....
Raven - "This has nothing to do with any of you so leave us two alone... If I am to be slaughtered in front of millions and millions of people, so is his decision to let me end my days this way...."
Vampiro then throws his sword down and snatches the microphone away from Raven's hand.
Vampiro - "What is wrong with you Raven!?!!! You're driving me insane!!!! What will it take for you to just hit me.... to fight back!!!"
Vampiro then kneels in front of Raven who still hasn't lifted up his head.
Vampiro - "I'm begging you... just hit me!!!"
Raven doesn't move an inch. Instead, he drops down and rolls out to the outside, walking off past members of security and walks back towards the entrance way. Vampiro remains there, a look of disdain on his face. He then throws the microphone down hard on the mat and rolls to the outside and follows suit, continuing to ask Raven to hit him, the members of security ready to tackle Vampiro the minute he moves the wrong muscle. But Vampiro just stands besides and behind Raven, walking around him, just begging him over and over again to take a free shot at him while both men just exit with the members of security to the back.
There's a few seconds of silence from the announcers while a video package comes up. The video plays to Seether's "Remedy" in the background. The voice of Joey Styles does the narrating.
Clips of Tajiri & Daniels had both Retaliation and Tuesday Night Showdown (The night Daniels was crowned Television Champion).
Joey Styles - "What started as a wrestling dream match soon escalated into a full fledged competitive feud."
Clips of Daniels pinning Tajiri to win the EWE TV Belt.
Joey Styles - "And on February 12th 2008, The Fallen Angel grasped onto the EWE Television Championship by defeating the Japanese Buzzsaw in another wrestling clinic between the two."
Random clips of Daniels & Tajiri in action and making their way to the ring.
Joey Styles - "Now, this weekend, on Pay-Per-View, Christopher Daniels & Yoshihiro Tajiri go at it once more, the EWE Television Championship at stakes, at Super Brawl I."
Clips of Daniels and his opponent for the night; in action, Chad Collyer.
Joey Styles - "But before Daniels can get to Super Brawl he must defend his title against Chad Collyer, a protege of one Dean Malenko. Tonight, on Tuesday Night Showdown, Daniels & Collyer collide. Can Daniels make it unscaved to Super Brawl? Or will Collyer cause the upset and shuffle the cards up by putting his name in the hat and making the Daniels & Tajiri matchup a Triple Threat Match?"
The screen splits up in half, diagonally with both Daniels w/ Allison Danger (on the right) and Collyer (on the left) showcased with a digital "Vs." symbol appearing freezing the frame and ending this little montage.
Cameras cut back to ringside.
***HAIR OF THE DOG***
Chad Collyer makes his way out the ring, very striking in resemblance to his mentor and trainer Dean Malenko. Sporting a training vest, Collyer runs down to the ring, clapping the fans' hands, trying to get them to forget about what just happened a few minutes ago in the center of the ring.
***DISPOSABLE TEENS w/ DEPECHE MODE INTRO***
The lights in the arena dim down, a white spotlight illuminating the entrance way. Once the intro ends, the white light starts flashing back and forth and out from the back walks the EWE Television Champion Christopher Daniels accompanied to the ring by Allison Danger. The boos starts showering in, with a few hand claps dazzled in between. Daniels looks quite confident tonight, making his way to the ring, marching down convincingly and taking off his hoody before reaching the ringside area. Daniels jumps on the apron and taunts to the fans before entering the ring and locking in on his challenger for the night.
EWE Television Championship
Singles Match
Chad Collyer Vs. Christopher Daniels (c) w/ Allison Danger
For almost the total duration of this 15 minute tv time limit Championship bout, both men battle it out in a see saw wrestling mat classic. Chad Collyer's extended workouts with Dean Malenko and his numerous trips to Japan being documented by Joey Styles thoroughly, and, for the better part of this matchup, Collyer has Daniels down on the mat, either working on his arm with armbars or reverse armbars or leglocks and the likes. Setting him up for the Texas Cloverleaf. In between these all too important wear down holds, both Daniels & Collyer were able to dish out some punishment in the form of their respective offensive arsenal. Daniels connecting but not putting away Collyer with a Reverse STO, a Flying Leg Lariat, the Falcon's Arrow & the Death Valley Driver just to name a few. Collyer on the other hand was almost able to score the upset on numerous occasions by connecting but not putting away Daniels with a Northern Lights Suplex, a Butterfyl Suplex, a Release German Suplex and a Hangman's Neckbreaker just to name a few again. In the closing minutes of this contest, Collyer was on the top rope while Daniels was groggily getting back up to a vertical base. Collyer flew through the air and connected with a Flying Crossbody Block. Daniels was able to reverse it into a pinning predicament but Collyer was able to kick out just in the nic of time. Both men were back up on their feet and Collyer hit a charging Daniels out of nowhere with a low dropkick right on Daniels' already worked-on knee. Collyer quickly picked Daniels up and hooked him for a Double Underhook Powerbomb. Collyer connected, staying on his feet and then looking to lock in the Texas Cloverleaf!! Daniels rolled over to his left and right and with this momentum threw Collyer off. Collyer cartwheeled his way back up to his feet and caught Daniels once again with a Double Underhook Powerbomb. Daniels reverses it into a Hurrancanrana!! Collyer rolls over back up to his feet with Daniels back up as well, kick to the gut, ANGEL'S WINGS!!!!!! Daniels by the last bit of strenght he has goes over and hooks the leg for the pinfall victory on Chad Collyer @ (14:02).
Both men received a standing ovation from the Maryland crowd as they both struggled back up to their feet. Collyer, holding his midsection walked gingerly towards Daniels & Danger and extended his hand to Daniels. Referee Mark Kehner gave the EWE Television Championship Belt back to Daniels who draped it over his shoulder while getting helped back up by Allison Danger. Daniels looked around at the appreciative crowd and then spit on Collyer's hand before storming out of the ring, taunting the fans and proclaiming himself the only one worthy of the fans' adulation. A camera walked up to Daniels and the Fallen Angel warned Tajiri that "At Super Brawl Tajiri, this belt is staying home to the Old School Heroes & the Fallen Angel". Daniels then turned around to face Collyer in the ring and laughed at his second fallen challenger.
Joey Styles - "I thaught we were finally going to see Christopher Daniels finally give someone else the proper respect they deserve, but it would seem that following in the Old School Heroes' leader, Steve Corino, there is no respect to be handed out from the Old School Heroes and no respect to be handed out from our Television Champion."
Jesse Ventura - "What do you expect him to do? Shake the hand of the man he's just pinned? For what? What does that prove? What does that do for Daniels? He's the Champ, he's defended his belt once more with a clean and technical wrestling match, and people expect him to have respect for the people he puts down in front of him?!"
Joey Styles - "Well maybe if Daniels showed a little bit of respect to his opponents he wouldn't have to deal with Yoshihiro Tajiri's buzzsaw like kicks at Super Brawl and I'm sure that Tajiri won't think twice before going after and targeting the neck and head of Daniels when he dishes out those lethal kicks to the probably soon-to-be former EWE Television Champion!!"
Jesse Ventura - "I can't believe what I'm hearing from you Joey Styles, maybe I should let you go over on Saturday Night Wrestling so you and Chris Money or whatever the heck his name is and do the commentary over there while me and the next ECW Champion Steve Corino and I do the commentary on THE show, Tuesday Night Showdown!!"
Joey Styles - "Well why don't you call your buddy Mr. Donald Trump, or maybe you'd like to me to call Mr. Shane McMahon, the son of one of your best friends ever? Fans, Lance Wright, urrgh, is standing by with the remaining half of tonight's Main Event..."
Cameras switch to the same location Mean Gene was in earlier on.
Lance Wright - "Mr. Ventura, I would love to hear you and Mr. Steve Corino do the play-by-play on Tuesdya Night Showdown from now on, but this is not why we're here right now!"
Samoa Joe, Sting, Chris Jericho, Rob Van Dam & Bill Alfonso make their way into the shot, coming from either the left or right side of the room, all surrounding Lance Wright, Alfonso blowing his whistle to mark the entrance of Van Dam mainly.
Lance Wright - "Because it's time, this is HYPE CENTRAL!!! And I have with me four good wrestlers who are just about getting ready to face 4 monsters of the ring in Lance Storm!, the proud son of Calgary, the leader of the Elite, Mr. Kennedy! the Great Muhammad Hassan! And the Master and Ruler of this Professional Wrestling World, Sid Vicious!! Gentlemen..."
Lance stops talking as Samoa Joe steps in, in front of Lance Wright, looking down at him with menacing eyes. Joe takes the microphone still in Lance's hands, until Joe pushes him off the set. Joe shakes his hand and then adresses his teammates for the night.
Samoa Joe - "Alright, look, we all know that if we can't work together tonight, these guys are going to try and get us injured before this weekend, and I'm sure all don't want that, so, for tonight, and tonight only, until Super Brawl rolls along, I think we should all agree that tonight, we should follow the man that deserves to be followed as our team captain, leader, whatever |
