TITLE HISTORY

WWE Championship

Randy Orton

The evening proved to be one hell of a roller coaster ride for Orton. The night started off with the Legend Killer being awarded the WWE Championship by Mr. McMahon after former Champ John Cena was forced to surrender the title due to injury. Then Triple H challenged him to a title match, which The Game won. But the night was far from over. Mr. McMahon told Triple H that he had promised the audience a Last Man Standing match and that he was bound to deliver; it would be Orton vs. Triple H for the gold. This time, Orton outlasted the Game to capture back the WWE Championship

Randy Orton had been what he was considering 'controlling Monday Night Raw', but at No Way Out, his demise was finally seen as, with a little help from 'Stone Cold' Steve Austin, Shawn Michaels was able to put Orton away with a little bit of Sweet Chin Music to win his first WWE Championship in 10 years, and his first general World Championship in 5 years.

Chris Jericho is expected to still be pushed into the WWE Title scene, but no word has been given when his next title shot will be, if he even gets one.

Vince is having trouble deciding what to do with Shawn Michaels and Triple H. He is considering sending one of them to SmackDown, or even having them feud again. The reason for them being in the handicap match was for them to be involved at the event somehow, but Vince is in a slump with what to do.

Smackdown news and notes

GM Vicke Guerrero has eliminated the Cruiserweight division. She is trying to get a new championship for Smackdown, but has not been succesful so far.

Raw and Smackdown are talking about a future trade. Since the women's division is on Raw, Smackdown is going to trade some divas for some mid card wrestlers. No word if anyone has been traded yet.

After an action-packed night from the Raw brand at New Year's Revolution, what will the consequences be for the winners and the losers?

For the second time, Randy Orton held onto his WWE Championship by fending off the lion, Chris Jericho. However, it took some leverage from the ring ropes to get the job done. How will the King of Bling respond to this?

Bobby Lashley made an explosive return by knocking off the man who injured him and the Intercontinental Champion, Mr. Kennedy. Does this solidify a future championship match for Lashley? Or did the Dominator just get lucky against the upstart from Green Bay?
