YoungBloodChampion reviews DH6's Monday Night Raw

This is the third BTB I've read where McMahon introduces Kennedy as his son. Okay, I guess. I'm interested as to where you'll go with it.

Good to have Beth Phoenix retaliate with a non-title match win. The clean win was a given, but good job non the less.

Regal books Jericho and Kane at N.W.O. This could be the start of a nice feud.

This McMahon promo was pretty useless. I mean, we get it. The McMahons will be ringside for Kennedy's first match. Everyone's happy. Blah, blah, blah, blah, blah!

Great choice of actions by Maria. I like how she still retains her face role by refusing to get the steel chair. Smith coming to the rescue of Maria at the end was a good way to begin a feud.

Good Triple H promo. He was very much in character and focused. I hate the Trips thing. Freakin' get rid of it.

Awesome distraction from Jericho for Lashley to get the win. I assume that by Jericho's actions after the match that he's a heel. Should be a slobberknocker.

Stone Cold coming out like that was pointless. He says he's the greatest superstar of all time? Stone Cold wouldn't come out like that unless Vince is acting up. Orton's attack seemed like a decent way to start a feud, though. I can see Stone Cold making an appearance at N.W.O.

Regal should've never made Carlito/Morrison. They're friends. That sets up for a screwjob. Whatever. Anywhere, I like how Morrison compared himself to Kane in that promo.

The McMahons helping Kennedy win was less than decent, but expected. I suppose it's a great way to get Kennedy some attention.

See? Screwjob. Morrison beats Carlito. Didn't see that coming. But, a great way to set up another N.W.O. match.

Good to see Santino get the last laugh in the end and take out DH. Him grabbing Maria was another given. I can see a big feud between the two over Maria.

Awesome win for Triple H. The ending was even better, what with the RKO countered into SCM and then the pedigree to end it. Triple H getting the advantage over the two at the end heats up the eventual match. But as I've learned, the person with the most momentum heading into the PPV eventually loses, but we'll see.

Overall: 83/100 = B

Looking pretty good, guys. The Rock, awesome SD, too. I'm interested as to how you'll take this Elimination Chamber thing. I promise you I'll review the next SD! By the way, the stuff in bold are things I had to come back and edit in this review. Anywhere, Good luck in the future, guys. I'll be reading.

P.S., I'm almost to afraid to make my N.W.O. predictions because I might not win this time. I might do it again for kicks anyway.

Default Re: WWE: A New Year Revolution

The Rock’s review for DH6 RAW
It will be a short review DH.

McMahon Promo:
I hate how WWE made Hornswoggle Vince’s son. I always thought it should bee Mr. Kennedy. I liked this promo.

Beth Phoenix vs Mickie James: I liked this match. Beth catching Mickie in mid a real good idea. I haven’t seen anybody get out of Beth’s cradle suplex, but I liked it. Mickie seems to be flying a lot in this match. Beth winning was a good idea. I hope there is maybe a Phoenix/James match for the title at a Pay-Per-View soon.

Jericho Promo:
A good promo and nonetheless. Jericho seemed in character throughout the promo. Coach was in character to.

McMahon Promo: Vince is in a good mood. Why wouldn’t he though he just got rid of Hornswoggle. Lol. Kennedy having a match later in the night seems good.

Jeff Hardy vs Santino Marella:
For some reason, the only part of this match I liked was the ending. Santino and Maria are a good couple and make money so I hope that you don’t split them apart.

Triple H promo: A pretty good promo. Trips seemed on character.

Lashley vs Kane: This match would be so cool to actual see, but I guess I will have to stick with reading it right now. The ending was good and I liked it.

Austin Promo: Best part of the night so far. Orton coming out is just so good. I hope that this elevates into something. One thing i didn't like is how he said he is the greatest superstar of all time.

Steph Promo: I liked it very much. Stephanie was in great character.

Morrison Promo: Morrison was in great character. Carlito and Morrison match should be great.

Kennedy Match: I didn’t really enjoy this match. Maybe it was just me.

Morrison vs Carlito: I don’t think Carly would lie down, but I like it. Makes their tag team continue.

Santino Promo: After this promo I think this could lead this something good. At least I hope it does!

Triple H vs Shawn Michaels: I liked this match. It was short. But I still liked it.

Overall: A good show. Better than last weeks. The matches was short, but I know that you have your reasons for not doing them in full and I also know that they will get better. A really good show.

DH6's Raw Feedback

Solid way to open the show, with the McMahon's coming down and explaining all about Hornswoggle. It would have been a little bit wierd if you had kicked off with something else to be honest, as this is easily your biggest angle right now. I had hoped that Vince might do a grand introduction for Mr. Kennedy, but nonetheless I was glad to see him come down to the ring. Hopefully you can put an original twist on the 'Kennedy as McMahon's son' storyline.

Beth should never have dropped the belt in the first place Really good women's match from the sound of things, although I question whether jobbing the Champ out will do much for her credibility.

I still think that a feud with Kane is kind of below Jericho at this point in his career, despite the way you are trying to get him over as a monster heel again. Probably a decent match will come from the two at NWO, and Y2J better go over.

I'm liking this Kennedy angle already. If you make him like the Prince of the WWE or something, using his familiy as a stable, it will be awesome. Vince has probably set him up with a nice squash for later tonight.

Ah, Santino owns all really, so I was a little disappointed to see him lose, but in terms of storyline advancement it worked nicely with Maria refusing to get the chair. I don't think Marella works as well as this angry heel you are portraying him as; he works better as a comedic heel. I'm not sure, but was he already in a feud with DH Smith before tonight?

Blah, sounded like a fairly bog standard promo from Triple H. At least you're going with the intense angle for him, rather than the stupid jokes he usually throws out there when he is a face. I hop Orton takes him out

Personally I think that Bobby Lashley should have gone over Kane clean. At this point in their careers, Lashley could do with the push more. I guess it furthers the feud with Jericho though. It was a little wierd having Y2J first appear on the Titan Tron and then run down to the ring with his music later on. It was a pretty brutal assault in the end by Jericho on Kane, and it seemed a little heelish if you ask me.

I'm not too sure about inventing a new film for Austin to star in {'Raise Hell' is cheesy}, but I was actually looking forward to a good segment between Austin and an up and coming heel perhaps. Orton coming out was a bit of a surprise, as he really doesn't need to get into a confrontation with Stone Cold. I'm glad you're still pushing the sociopath Orton who just randomly attacks people. It makes him much more effective for me. I never expected the Punt to Austin, but I hope this isn't setting up some kind of WrestleMania feud, as I want Orton to retain at NWO.

Interesting backstage segment between Kennedy and Stephanie McMahon. I'm guessing this is hinting at the inevitable Kennedy/Shane feud, with KK battling his 'brother and sister' for supremacy.

It's that you seem to be using John Morrison as the mic piece in his alliance with Carlito. Carly is awesome on the mic, and Morrison is not, so you might want to change that. I'm not really sure why Coach seemingly 'punished' them by putting them in a match with one another tonight. Coach is a heel, right? Carlito for the win plz

Oh no, Shelton Benjamin is relegated to a jobber? I hope this was a one off thing, since he needs to be in the IC title division. He looked pretty strong against Kennedy though, with KK having to use the chair to win. I can't wait to see was Kennedy does over the next few weeks.

Not many bigger legends than Stone Cold to kill, so by that reasoning, what Orton did makes a lot of sense

WHAT THE HELL~! Carlito just lies down? Is he Morrison's lackey or something? I did not like this at all, man. Seems like a bit of a waste of a good talent for me.

Goddamn, Santino is an absolute psycho in this thread. I personally think he should go over DH Smith in this feud.

Another HBK/Hunter match this week? Wow, you're certainly driving this. I just hope that you aren't setting up another feud between the two. A clean finish surprised me, and I was disappointed to see that it was Hunter picking up the win. The aftermath was wierd, mainly because Triple H got up from the RKO far too quickly for my liking. At least this pretty much confirms that Triple H won't be winning come No Way Out.

Overall this was a fairly decent show, showing why you are one of the better 'new' wave of bookers around here. A couple of rather wierd booking decisions {Carlito, Morrison} let you down, but I can definately see potential. Keep it up

Tommy Dreamer will take on Ric Flair in another Elimination Chamber qualifying match.

Confirmed for Smackdown!

I finished Smackdown earlier than i thought, so here it is. It is in recap.

WWE Smackdown!
Newfolk, Virginia
February 8th, 2008

The Smackdown theme song plays throughout the arena. The pyro then goes off. The camera shows some fans before you hear Michael Cole voice. JBL is not accompanied with him. Michael tells us about some of the matches tonight including the three-elimination chamber-qualifying matches. He then sends it up to Tony Chimel who announces the next match, which is an Elimination Chamber qualifying math.

Chimel introduces Rey Mysterio out first. Rey gets in the ring and salutes the fans. Mark Henry’s music hits next and Chimel introduces him. Henry has the hardcore title on his shoulder.

Match #1
Elimination Chamber Qualifying Match
Rey Mysterio vs Mark Henry
The match was mostly controlled Mark Henry. Henry has Mysterio down on the ground. Henry comes off the ropes looking for a big splash. He jumps, but Mysterio moves out of the way just in the nic of time. Henry starts to get up. Henry gets up to his feet, and Mysterio jumps onto the second rope and goes for a big splash, but Henry caught Mysterio in mid-air. Henry goes for the world’s strongest slam, but Mysterio somehow withers out of it. Mysterio starts to kick at the knees of Henry. Mysterio manages to get Henry down to one knee. Mysterio comes off the ropes and delivers a huge kick to the head of Henry. Henry shakes it off though and gets on his feet. He proceeds to Mysterio, but Mysterio gets a drop-toe hold right into the second rope. Mysterio comes off the ropes. 619! It doesn’t take Henry down though! Mysterio jumps on the top rope. Mysterio jumps off the delivers a huge drop kick to the chest. Henry goes down. Mysterio gets on the top rope again and jumps off and gets a springboard on Henry. Mysterio covers. 1-2-3!

Mysterio gets up to celebrate. He turns around right into a clothesline from hell by JBL. JBL calls for a microphone. JBL says that the wrestling world better get ready. Cause JBL “The Wrestling God” will be returning to the ring. He will be returning to win championships. He will be returning to rid the WWE of losers like Rey Mysterio. “The Wrestling God” has returned.

****Commercial Break****

Tony Chimel announces the next match, which is another qualifying match. He introduces the competitors, which are Jimmy Wang Yang and The Great Kahli

Match #2
Elimination Chamber Qualifying Match
Jimmy Wang Yang vs The Great Kahli

The match has been pretty much a squash match with Jimmy Wang Yang getting very little offense. The Great Kahli has Jimmy Wang Yang in the corner. Kahli gets Yang out of the corner and throws him across the ring. Kahli then gets Yang up and puts both hands around the neck of Yang. Kahli lifts him up and gets a double handed chokeslam. Kahli isn’t done though. He gets Yang up and puts the vice hold on him. After a while, Kahli lets go off it and then puts a foot on Yang’s chest. 1-2-3

Camera goes backstage to Josh Matthews and Rey Mysterio. Matthews ask Rey Mysterio how is felt to become the first person to qualify for the Elimination Chamber match. Mysterio said that words couldn’t describe how he feels. He has the chance to become World Heavyweight Champion once again.

****Commercial Break****

Camera shows Teddy Long in his office. Edge walks in. Edge complains to Teddy Long telling him that he wants a match tonight. Teddy Long tells him to calm down because he will get a match. And it will be against. The Undertaker! The crowd gives a huge pop, as Edge looks scared. Camera cuts to the ring.

Tony Chimel announces the next match. He then introduces both teams Jesse and Festus. He then introduces the two hometown people in the ring. One of them is wearing pants. His name was Dustin Star. The other was wearing tights. His name was Derrick Star. They were both brothers.

Match #3
Jesse and Festus vs Dustin and Derrick Star

Jesse and Festus controlled the whole match with the Star brothers not getting any offense. Festus is in the ring with Dustin. Festus whips Dustin into the corner. He runs at him and hits him with a splash in the corner. Festus gets Dustin up and takes him over to his corner. He tags in Jesse who climbs the turnbuckles up to the top rope. Festus holds Dustin while Jesse jumps off the top rope and connects with an axe handle to the back. Jesse whips Dustin off the ropes and connects with a high elbow. Jesse tags in Festus who gets in the ring and drags Dustin over to the ropes. Festus comes off the ropes and jumps on Dustin. Festus then runs at Derrick and knocks him off the ring apron. He then drags Dustin over toward his corner, a little way from the corner. Festus tags in Jesse. Jesse climbs the turnbuckle, and Festus grabs Jesse and throws him off of the top rope and onto Dustin. Jesse covers. 1-2-3

****Commercial Break****

Camera goes backstage to Torrie Wilson and Ashley. They are standing around talking. Jamie Noble comes up. Noble says that they should come out with him after the show to a bar. He is paying. He then says that they can maybe come back to his place. Ashley slaps Noble. Noble smiles. He tells them that this man can wait.

Camera goes to the ring. Tony Chimel announces the next match, which is another Elimination Chamber qualifying match. Chimel introduces the competitors, which is Ric Flair and Tommy Dreamer.

Match #4
Elimination Chamber Qualifying Match
Tommy Dreamer vs Ric Flair

The match was really good with the best back and fourth action in the nights so far. Tommy Dreamer is in control of Ric Flair and he has a sleeper hold on him. Some of the crowd is behind Tommy Dreamer and some are behind Ric Flair. The reaction from the crowd is pumping up both men. Flair manages to get to his feet and then starts laying elbows in the gut of Dreamer. Dreamer lets go off the hold. Flair comes up with some chops that make Dreamer gasp for breath. Flair whips Dreamer off the ropes and then gets a shoulder block. Flair slaps his arms and then comes off the ropes, but Dreamer is back up and Dreamer connects with a shoulder block. Dreamer slaps his arms. Dreamer gets Flair up and takes him into the corner. Dreamer gets Flair in a tree of woe. Dreamer goes to the other side of the ring. Dreamer yells. SMACKDOWN! And then runs at Flair and connects with a drop kick. Dreamer gets Flair up and takes him into the middle of the ring. Dreamer gets ready for the DDT, but Flair slipped out of it. Flair grabs one of Dreamer legs. Flair trips Dreamer and then quickly locks in the figure four leg lock. Dreamer tries to wither around the ring, but to no avail. Dreamer taps out.

Camera goes backstage and shows Edge walking out to the ring. We hear Michael Cole say and that match is next!

****Commercial Break****

Tony Chimel announces the next match. Edge comes out looking worried. Chimel introduces him. Edge gets in the ring and waits for the Undertaker. The lights go out and Taker slowly makes his way to the ring. Chimel introduces him. Right as Taker gets into the ring, Edge goes on the attack.

Main Event
Edge vs Undertaker

The match was really good. Edge controlled the first part, but then Taker got one of his signature punches that took Edge down. Edge later gained the control back though after The Undertaker was about to run into him, Edge pulled the referee in the way and Taker ran into the ref. The ref is back up now. Edge has Taker in an armbar. The crowd is behind Taker. Taker makes it to his feet and Edge lets go off the hold. Edge kicks Taker in his gut though. Edge whips Taker off the ropes and goes for a clothesline, but Taker ducks and comes off the ropes and delivers a clothesline of his own. Taker gets Edge up and whips him into the corner. Taker runs at Edge, but Edge lifts his foot up and kicks Taker. Edge puts Taker in the corner. Edge gets on the second rope and starts punching Taker. 1-2-3-4-5-6-Edge raises his hands. Out of nowhere Taker grabs Edge up in position for the last ride and takes him into the middle of the ring. Edge lays a bunch of right hands to Taker. Edge frees himself. Edge kicks Taker in the gut. EDGECUTION! Edge covers. 1-2-UNDERTAKER KICKS OUT! Edge gets up. He gets in the corner. He waits for Taker to get up. Taker makes it to his feet and turns around, and Edge runs right at him looking for the spear, but Taker got out of the way. Edge stopped just in time not to go into the steel ring post. Edge turns around right into Taker who grabs his throat. Edge kicks him in the balls though Taker lets go as the ref calls for the bell. Edge scurries out of the ring.

Teddy Long’s music hits just as Edge starts to make his way up the ramp. Teddy Long comes out and tells Edge that he will have a match at No Way Out. And it will be against a surprise opponent. And if Edge gets counted out or disqualified, he will lose his chance to main event WrestleMania! Edge looks angry as Smackdown goes off the air.

Default Re: WWE: A New Year Revolution

Hey, first time reviweing your show so here it goes...

Opening match- I thought that this match was good because it was very realistic. I see in a lot of threads that Mark Henry goes down after something so much as a right, but for this it took a while. It seems like Rey would do that also. Having a CW in an elimination chamber means a lot of high risk which should be great. Good opening contest.

Aftermath-JBL is back! I'd like to see how you use him in this thread as he is one of my fav's.

Match 2-Just a squash, i expected Khali to win. Might be a little boring having him in a big match like a chamber but i guess only time will tell.

interview-Hard to review promos in recap but it was something i can see Rey saying.

Tlo/Edge- sounds good, match later should be great. I think that could be used to main event a ppv, so having this on a weekly show is a gift.

Tag match- This mat h was good but more on the squash side. I don't know who the other guys were but i think Jesse and Festus will be getting a push soon.

Noble promo- i thought that Noble was in character and i could see it happening in real life. I think this promo would have hillarious if you wrote it out but as i said, hard to review recaps.

Dreamer/Flair- MOTN so far. 2 legends battling it out in the ring. I can honestly say that this match was not predictable at all. It was back and forth and while reading i thought Dreamer would win. Great match however Dreamer wouldn't yell Smackdown. He would still say ECW considering that he was with the actual company itself, not just the WWE brand. Also, having a 60 yr old man in an elimination chamber is...unusual.

Edge/ Undertaker- This was a hell of a match. I didnt see it ending cleanly which it didnt. Seemed very realistic like all of your other matches. Edge getting dq'd for a low blow was good booking as now you can use this match for a later time in a bigger situation. I have no idea who Edge's surprise opponent will be...I doubt Undertaker or Kane because i see both qulifying for the chamber in your next show.

Overall- Great show! I would have liked to see you write promos in full but i understand that school and a busy schedule gets in the way. I'm gonna keep reading yours and DH6's shows.

Thanks for the review hbknsting. I will return it. When you get your next show up just drop me a PM and I will review it! Here are some news and notes from the Smackdown side.

Quote:
WWE has just signed the Star brothers. They were two local jobbers at the latest Smackdown, but they later got signed to a contract. They will be in OVW for some time and are expected to make their WWE debut sometime after WrestleMania. They will still be the Star brothers, but their first name will get changed.

There are talks with in a trade with Smackdown and Raw. No word on who is getting traded, but there have been some rumors it is Mark Henry.

Raw Preview

February 12th, 2008
Greensboro, North Carolina

With just six days before No Way Out, what will implode between the superstars of Raw?

The three men involved in the Triple Threat Match for the WWE Championship will be involved in an official contract signing. Last week Triple H sent a statement, but how will Shawn Michaels and Randy Orton respond this week? And what will take place when all three men are in the ring at the same time?

Last week after Chris Jericho cost Kane his match against Bobby Lashley, The Big Red Machine went crazy, hitting everything at ringside. With Lilian Garcia next in the Kane's path of destruction, The Savoir wouldn't put up with it and came down to ringside. While the two brawled, Jericho got the better of the situation. What will happen this week when both Jericho and Kane compete in separate single matches?

The new duo of John Morrison and Carlito will compete this week in their first tag team match together against the World Tag Team Champions, Paul London & Brian Kendrick. Will the new duo be able to pull through for The Shaman of Sexy to gain some No Way Out momentum, or will the High Flyers once again show the world why they're tag team champs?

Find out the answers to these questions and more by tuning into Monday Night Raw.

Confirmed for Raw

Kane vs. DH Smith

Chris Jericho vs. Santino Marella

Paul London & Brian Kendrick vs. John Morrison & Carlito
