Looking ahead to the Royal Rumble

From what we have learnt over the course of the last month or so that only four people have been considered for winning the Royal Rumble match, but our sources haven’t disclosed those names to us. However, we have been advised that several different Wrestlemania main events have been discussed back and forth for a long time now and some of those include, The Undertaker vs Randy Orton, Ric Flair vs Randy Orton, Triple H vs John Cena, Triple H vs Randy Orton vs JBL, Shawn Michaels vs MVP, Shawn Michaels vs Edge, Shawn Michaels vs Umaga and last of all, Shawn Michaels vs The Undertaker vs Edge vs Umaga. Take from that what you will folks.

Royal Rumble Match

The topic of who will win the Royal Rumble has obviously dominated the rumour mill for the last week, and we have it narrowed done to three winners. From what we have seen recently and baring in mind from the matches we have heard could main event Wrestlemania, it seems to indicate that the front runners are Triple H, Ric Flair, The Undertaker and Umaga.

There is the possibility that The McMahon’s could possibly cost Triple H his spot during or after the Rumble match, so a screw job could come in to play there. The Undertaker and Umaga are the interesting ones, and since they have been feuding recently with neither man losing any credit, it seems that it will be one of these two that will win the match in our opinion. Umaga has been on a role recently, being pushed very hard, and is considered a main event waiting to happen on Smackdown. With Taker winning a Battle Royal on Smackdown Friday night, that could also give a hint to where the winner is coming from.

We must also stress that the promotional videos hyping the Kane’s return will lead to Kane returning with as a heel with the mask, but it will not be at the Royal Rumble as it is seen that he must either win the Rumble or wait until after to make his return so that he isn’t booked weakly. The Taker/Umaga feud could also continue during and after the match this Sunday, leading to a possible triple threat match at Wrestlemania. Ric Flair’s career could be coming to an end, and with this possibly being his last Wrestlemania this year, we may see him go out with a bang and one last run. However, with Umaga’s push and creative’s love for a shock, we’re going with the Samoan Bulldozer.

Our Prediction: Umaga

WWE Championship
TLC Match – John Cena vs Randy Orton (c)

A tough one to call for sure, but with the booking going in, it looks like Orton is being pushed strongly. It is believed there aren’t any concerns of The Legend Killer going into Wrestlemania as the main event, but it would be hard to see the main event with John Cena. With there having to be a winner, we could see Cena take the title and Orton trying to get his title back going into Mania, and since their feud has hardly kicked into gear, that seems a strong possibility.

Our Prediction: John Cena

World Heavyweight Championship
Shawn Michaels (c) vs Batista vs Edge

It seems that there could only be one outcome here, and that is a Shawn Michaels victory. However after he became the World Champion back in 2002, he went on to lose it a month later. If that is to repeat itself again, Edge would be the only one to take it off him. It seems that an Edge/Michaels feud could be a possibility too after the Rumble, but we’re hearing Edge could be moving back to Raw soon. With Michaels only winning the title last month, it’s an easy one for us.

Our Prediction: Shawn Michaels

Intercontinental Championship
Jeff Hardy (c) vs CM Punk

This is the match aside from the Rumble that we think most people are most looking forward to. Going in, it looks like Punk has this one wrapped up. However, we believe that the feud is far from over, and with that in mind, it leads us to the expectation that we may see a dirty finish that will see the feud continue towards Mania. It seems clear that Punk will not lose clean, so that either means that he wins the title or there will be a No Contest or DQ of some sort. That is the avenue we see most likely.

Our Prediction: No Contest or DQ

Cruiserweight Championship
Chavo Guerrero vs Kenny Dykstra (c)

This again has a very likely outcome to us. Despite Chavo being booked strongly, we see that as a way just to make Kenny’s win all the more impressive. There is no way Dykstra is losing the title and we see that the best Chavo can hope for is for some dirty tactics by Dykstra to either backfire for a DQ, or the heel tactics will actually give Kenny the win.

Our Prediction: Kenny Dykstra

***Please wait until the official preview is posted before leaving predictions, and also remember that these are not spoilers and have just been written like any wrestling website before a PPV, designed to create confusion!***

One Night Stand has been posted in WWE Reloaded. What has happened between the five men that took part in the singapore cane match? Has The Undertaker's career died, or has it lived to see another reign as World Champion? Did Triple H overcome the odds and defeat Randy Orton in the last man standing match? All this and so much more can be answered by checking out One Night Stand in WWE: Reloaded.

ECW; Viewer Discretion Advised

SPECIAL ANNOUNCEMENT:
ONE NIGHT STAND

After a great deal of deliberation amongst WWE officials, it was announced earlier today that One Night Stand would be removed from the Pay Per View Schedule!! Instead, the tri-branded event will merge the Smackdown, RAW, and ECW events for the week and be broadcasted for FREE on the USA Network!!

All three general managers were immediately informed, and they ensured that they would work together for the night to make sure the event was Pay Per View quality anyway! With that announcement, they made a huge six man tag match for the main event: WWE Champion Triple H, World Heavyweight Champion Undertaker, and ECW Champion Kane will be taking on former champions JBL, Edge, and The Big Show!!

Several more inter-brand matches are to be announced as time draws near, so stay tuned!!

ECW; Viewer Discretion Advised – Edition #4
“BURNING DESIRES”

Scheduled For: May 27, 2008
Live! From Colorado Springs, Colorado

----------

After a grueling Tables Match at the Judgment Day Pay Per View, the Big Red Machine Kane is still the ECW Champion.

Chavo Guerrero put up a valiant effort to regain the championship at Judgment Day, even his worst of haters would have to admit. However Guerrero would suffer a brutal fate, being driven through a flaming table at the end of the match. Chavo is expected to be out until August for burn treatments but the ECW show must go on!! With Guerrero out of the picture, ECW General Manager Armando Estrada is left with one major goal for the night: Find a number one contender. So for the fourth edition of Extreme Championship Wrestling, Estrada promises a 6 Man-Battle Royal for the main event of the night, which will feature some of ECW’s top superstars. The winner of that match will be named the number one contender for the ECW Championship! Which one of those six men will prove their desire to be champion burns the most? You’ll have to tune in to find out!!

ALSO:

**The ECW General Manager has announced that he will be hosting a very series of matches, in which the winners will be given a huge opportunity!! Estrada is set to shed more light on this opportunity at the top of the event; however, he has announced the following matches.

The Miz vs. Ken Kennedy
Rob Van Dam vs. John Morrison

**The Hurricane will once again put his Cruiserweight Championship on the line. The match will also double as the night’s “Battle of the Brands” contest.

Rated-R Champ presents:

WWE: Road to WrestleMania 24

WrestleMania 24 Card

WWE Championship Triple Threat Match:
Randy Orton (c) vs. Triple H vs. John Cena
At No Way Out, John Cena exercised the WWE Championship Match he received for winning the 2008 Royal Rumble, only to win the match after Randy Orton slapped the referee. Later that night, Triple H won RAW's Elimination Chamber to receive a WWE Championship Match at WrestleMania. John Cena later qualified for the match after he defeated SmackDown!'s United States Champion, MVP, making the title match a Triple Threat. Which of these very-capable men will leave Orlando with the WWE's top prize?

World Heavyweight Championship Match:
Edge (c) vs. Undertaker
After Edge defeated an injured Rey Mysterio, and Undertaker won SmackDown!'s Elimination Chamber at No Way Out, it was finalized that the two would meet at WrestleMania. After Edge was using Curt Hawkins and Zack Ryder to help him win matches, Undertaker secretly took an apprentice under his wing. His apprentice was revealed to be Kevin Thorn, but was renamed Six by his master. Will The Undertaker's undefeated streak live on, or will the Rated-R Superstar successfully defend his World Championship?

WWE Intercontinental/Career-Threatening Match:
Mr. Kennedy (c) vs. Ric Flair
When Mr. Kennedy defeated Jeff Hardy for the Intercontinental Title, he decided to have another whack at trying to retire the Nature Boy. Ric Flair later accepted, on the condition that he put the title on the line. Kennedy later forged an alliance with the WWE Champion Randy Orton, and Flair used his friendship with Triple H to combat the two. Kennedy and Orton later suffered a fallout, but Kennedy did not lose sight of his match. With both men equally confident that they will be the victor, will we see a new champion, or the end of Ric Flair's historic career this Sunday?

No Disqualification Match:
Big Show vs. Floyd Mayweather
When Big Show made a surprise return to the WWE at No Way Out, he made an immidiate impact by attacking Rey Mysterio. His friend, Floyd "Money" Mayweather, was in attendance, and jumped the barricade to help Rey. In one of the most infamous WWE moments, Mayweather broke Show's nose with his lightning-fast punches. The two later meet in several confrontations, one of which saw Mayweather completely abandon Rey, feeding him to Show. Will the Best keep his undefeated streak intact, or will the Biggest begin a new era of dominance?

Money in the Bank Ladder Match:
Chris Jericho vs. CM Punk vs. Kane vs. Jeff Hardy vs. John Morrison vs. Chavo Guerrero
These six men qualified for the match in great fashion, and spent the following weeks trying to pick up victories over one another. Along the way, John Morrison picked up Kelly Kelly's love, Kane picked up the evil he apparentely put behind him, and Chavo Guerrero dropped the ECW Championship to Batista. The Mexican Warrior soon rebounded, winning a Battle Royale to become the last man to be entered in the match. Which of these six competitors will climb the ladder, retrieve the briefcase containing a guaranteed World Championship Match, and earn the moniker of Mr. Money in the Bank?

RAW vs. SmackDown! Match:
Shawn Michaels & Paul Burchill vs. The Edgeheads (Curt Hawkins & Zack Ryder)
RAW and SmackDown! General Managers William Regal and Vickie Guerrero concocted a brilliant match, pitting each brands' Tag Team Champions against each other after The Edgeheads won the WWE Tag Team Championships. Regal, who wasn't sure of his own champions, Carlito and Santino Marella, decided to host a tournament. Shawn Michaels, who decided that he didn't like the fact that he was off this year's 'Mania card, decided to team up with a young man that had caught his interest and earned his respect, Paul Burchill. The two won the tournament and the World Tag Team Championships, and will now face off against The Edgeheads this Sunday. Which brand will be proven superior?

ECW Championship Match:
Batista (c) vs. Shelton Benjamin
When Batista made a surprise visit to the Land of Extreme, he won a Battle Royale to determine the No. 1 Contender to Chavo Guerrero's ECW Title. He won the championship, and in Chavo's rematch, after the Animal defeated him, he was assaulted by ECW's Gold Standard, Shelton Benjamin. He was given an opportunity at the title, and after he pulled the win, he destroyed Batista's prized Bentley. This prompted the ECW Champion to decimate him in their title match, giving Shelton another try at the Grandest Stage of Them All. Can Batista retain his gold, or will Shelton make it the second year in a row that Batista loses top gold at WrestleMania?

WWE United States Championship Match:
MVP (c) vs. Matt Hardy
When the two lost the WWE Tag Team Championships, MVP punished Matt Hardy's knee to the point of keeping him off the Survivor Series PPV. Matt's condition was made worse when his appendix burst, keeping him away for even longer. In a Money in the Bank Qualifying Match against Kane, Matt's music began to play, causing MVP the match. Following this, anytime MVP was involved in a match, Hardy's music played. Porter had enough, and demanded that Hardy show his face. Matt did just that, and challenged him a match at WrestleMania, with the US Title on the line. MVP accepted, claiming to prove that he's better than Matt once and for all at 'Mania. Will MVp's prediction come true, or is he in store for a Twist of Fate?

WWE Women's Championship Match:
Beth Phoenix (c) vs. Mickie James
In a non-title match between the two Divas, Candice Michelle made her triumphant return, costing Beth the match. This lead to a No. 1 Contender's Match between Mickie and Candice, where Mickie came out on top. To prove her dominance over the women's division, Beth completely destroyed Ashley, sending her to the hospital with severe injuries. Will Mickie share the same fate, or will it include Women's gold?

Belfast Brawl w/ Hornswoggle's Custody Match:
Vince McMahon vs. Finlay
After Finlay revealed to the world that Finlay was not Vince McMahon's son, the Chairman of the Board punished him week after week, threatening to fire him if he was to be disqualified. Finlay later cracked, and demanded a match with Vince, where if he won, McMahon would return Hornswoggle's custody back to Finlay. McMahon agreed, but to completely mock Finlay, decided that no matter the winner, Hornswoggle's WWE contract would be terminated after the match. There is no doubt WrestleMania will be the last time we see the little guy, but will he come home to his rightful family with Finlay, or will McMahon make sure there's no chance in hell for a happy ending for them?
