FINAL SMACKDOWN OF 2007!
24 HOURS UNTIL SATURDAY NIGHT’S MAIN EVENT – THE LAST SHOW OF THE YEAR!

WILL THE BEAST BE UNLEASHED ON HBK?

Last Friday night saw Shawn Michaels super kick his opponent at Saturday Night’s Main Event, the World Heavyweight Champion, Batista. For the last couple of weeks, The Rated R Superstar, Edge has been casting doubts about The Heartbreak Kid’s intentions as he gears up for his World Title match with Batista this weekend, and last week, the floodgates opened. After trying to persuade Batista earlier in the night as to Michaels’ history of turning on his friends, Edge was put in his place by Michaels and GM William Regal as the main event for the night was made with Edge facing Batista in addition to Michaels being given the role of guest referee.

And when Edge took his protests about a two count too far and slapped the show stopper, Michaels had enough and let fly with some sweet chin music, only for Edge to duck out of the way with the oncoming Batista walk right into it. Michaels looked shocked and had no choice but to reluctantly count the fall for Edge. The challenger to Batista’s title was quick to leave the ring afterwards, but when The Animal came round, he didn’t look happy at all. Have Edge’s words and Michaels’ mistake gotten to Batista?

THE DEAD MAN SENDS UMAGA A MESSAGE
After destroying The Undertaker over a week ago at Raw’s 15th Anniversary Show and costing him a shot at the World Heavyweight Championship at the same time, The Samoan Bulldozer returned to home turf last Friday night and left Shannon Moore lying in the ring after continuing his destruction from Monday night. However, after Armando Alejandro Estrada directed some comments earlier on to the phenom, the lights went out with Umaga and Estrada in the ring. When the lights came back on, the dead man was nowhere to be seen, but did it have enough of an impact to worry Umaga? And will the dead man be present this week?

GETTING READY FOR THE CAGE
With just hours separating Matt Hardy, Montel Vontavious Porter and a Steel Cage at Saturday Night’s Main Event, with all the problems they’ve been through, what will go down when these two set foot in Kansas? After defeating MVP last week in a tag team match which saw Matt team up with “The Nature Boy” Ric Flair as the United States Champion ****ed forces with Finlay. The Franchise Player must be fuming that his challenger this Saturday gained some serious momentum, and you’ve got to think he will be out to make a point this Friday night.

NEW TAG TEAM CHAMPIONS, BUT FOR HOW LONG?
We all knew that The World’s Greatest Tag Team and Chris Masters had their problems in recent weeks, but it all came to a head last week as Shelton Benjamin’s ego got to him at the wrong time as he decided to argue with Masters instead of watching on as Charlie Haas fell victim to a C4 from Paul Burchill to give The UK Pack the WWE Tag Team titles. With Burchill and Harry Smith now occupying the gold, their first duty will be to defend them this coming week against the former champions. Will the former champions be able to sort themselves out in time to claim back their titles?

DYKSTRA TAKES THE COWARD’S WAY OUT
Ever since becoming the Cruiserweight Champion at the Survivor Series last month, Kenny Dykstra’s ego has seemed to have grown each week. And after he failed to convince Smackdown GM, William Regal to change his No Disqualification match with Chavo Guerrero later on in the evening, Dykstra took matters in to his own hands. As soon as Chavo entered the ring, Dykstra showed his cowardice and sadistic side as he smashed him with the title belt across the skull. Chavo immediately fell to the mat, but Dykstra wasn’t done as he continued to pummel the head of Guerrero until the referee saw enough and stopped the match. We later found out that Guerrero was taken to a local medical facility where he was kept in for observations, and it appears he will not be in Kansas this week. What will the arrogant champion have to say for himself this week?

PLUS
Ric Flair returned to Smackdown last week after not being seen for months and months. After standing up to MVP in the V.I.P. Lounge at the top of the show, he and Matt Hardy beat MVP and Finlay to give Flair a winning return. Will we see “The Nature Boy” in action again this week when Smackdown comes to Witchita?

Kid Kash continued with a one hundred percent last week as he defeated Super Crazy, a week after he and Jamie Noble were reunited and saw off Crazy and his tag team partner Jimmy Wang Yang. And this week it will be Noble’s turn to represent The Pitbulls when he goes one on one with Yang. Can The Pitbulls continue their streak, or will there be a spanner in the works?

CONFIRMED FOR THIS WEEK

Shawn Michaels
vs. Finlay

WWE TAG TEAM CHAMPIONSHIP REMATCH
The UK Pack (Paul Burchill & Harry Smith) (c)
vs. The World’s Greatest Tag Team

Jimmy Wang Yang
vs. Jamie Noble

Coming Soon.

The End or the beggining?

After falling down in ratings several rumors have been going around that the company may shut down. However Vince McMahon denies the rumors are true! He also says on the next episode of RAW he will make one of the biggest announcements ever in history,He also changed Smackdown from Friday BACK TO THURSDAY! The question is that will WWE still fall down or will they rise.

Impact 3/13 is up!

Fallout From Rebirth
We have a new TNA-NG Heavyweight Champion! “The Phenomenal” AJ Styles captured his fourth reign as World Heavyweight Champion when he defeated “The Olympic Gold Medalist” Kurt Angle, Tomko, and “The Samoan Submission Machine” Samoa Joe in a grueling Fatal Four Way last Sunday. Have alliances been broken? Was this planned all along or did AJ just simply take hold of opportunity when it presented itself? A very special sit down interview with “The Professor” Mike Tenay and the new TNA-NG Heavyweight Champion promises to answer these questions and more!

Kurt Angle was understandably confused and upset after the match. The former World Champion will be on hand Thursday. How will he react?

Samoa Joe has not been medically cleared to compete, but he will be in the building Thursday. There are many questions surrounding the shocking attack on Joe by Matt Morgan. Will any of them be answered Thursday?

Following Sunday's brutal 2 on 2 Streetfight and the bloody aftermath, a furious Booker T has demanded time. He promises a special message to Robert Roode. The heat between the two continues to rise as this already explosive situation reaches the boiling point.

The TNA-NG Tag Team Champions are in action as they take on the Latin American Xchange in a non-title bout.

A Pride Division #1 Contenders Match. Sonjay Dutt will face Tomko with the winner facing the new TNA-NG Pride Division Champion “Maple Leaf Muscle” Petey Williams in the first of the regular biweekly title defenses next week. After coming up short at Rebirth, Tomko has another chance to get within reaching distance of championship gold.

Also: The TNA-NG Knockouts will be in action. Chris Sabin of the Motor City Machine Guns will be in action. The new TNA-NG Pride Division Champion Petey Williams will be on hand for a special presentation.

All this and much, much more on a special post PPV edition of TNA-NG Impact! Link is in sig as always.

WWE World Championship – Impact! Tournament Final
Steel Cage Match
Chris Jericho vs Kane

***By TKoW***

Kane has been dominating the match for the last few minutes with some big power moves. The Big Red Machine has also used the deadly walls of the Steel Cage to his advantage to further assault Y2J...

CLOSING MINUTES: Kane picks Jericho up from the mat. The Big Red Machine puts his right arm between Y2J’s legs and his other arm just under his head, then menacingly looks at the crowd, pulls Jericho upwards and crushes Jericho’s abdomen onto his knee with a backbreaker. Kane doesn’t drop Jericho and delivers another painful backbreaker. Jericho yells in pain as Kane now drops Jericho and goes for the pinfall: 1- 2- Jericho kicks out after two. An angered Big Red Monster picks up a helpless Jericho by his head and pulls Jericho to the right-hand side of the ring (where the announce teams look). Kane viciously slams Jericho’s head into the unforgiving wall of the steel cage. Jericho falls backwards onto the mat as Kane sadistically smiles and the crowd boo the Monster like mad. Kane picks up Jericho and slams his head once more into the cage, but this time doesn’t let Y2J fall to the ground, but instead rakes Jericho’s face against the steel cage wall, which almost feels the skin off the face of Jericho. After a few agonising scrapes against the cage Kane keeps hold of Jericho’s head and pulls back hard, slamming the back of Jericho’s head straight into the canvas. Jericho turns over on the mat so that his face is facing the canvas whilst Kane takes a moment to regain his energy. Jericho turns back over and we can now see that Y2J’s face has been busted open. Kane looks down on Jericho’s bleeding face and smiles psychotically, enjoying the ugly sight of another human being’s flesh being torn apart.

Kane pulls Jericho to his feet and throws Y2J to the upper-right corner of the ring. Kane charges forward but Jericho somehow manages to throw himself out of the way, and Kane is thrown forward with his chest hitting the turnbuckle and his head crashing into the corner of the steel cage! Kane shakes it off for a moment but before Kane can escape the corner Jericho runs forward and with all the energy he has dropkicks Kane from behind, sending the Monster’s face back into the cage! As Kane stands dazzled for a moment in the corner Jericho rallies the crowd and the New York crowd cheer wildly and proudly for the Ayatollah of Rock and Rolla. Kane is still in the corner but has turned around and is looking at the ring when Jericho runs at Kane and dropkicks the chest of the Big Red Machine, pushing Kane’s back into the turnbuckle. Kane shows pain not much as the Monster would do, holding his chest and slowly steps forward. Jericho goes to kick Kane in the gut but Kane blocks by holding Jericho’s left leg, but after hopping on one leg Jericho jumps up and hits Kane with a hard enziguri right to the back of the head of Kane! Jericho now sees his chance whilst Kane is down and tugs at the legs of the Big Red Monster, looking for the Walls of Jericho. Jericho twists and tugs more but Kane will not give in and powerfully kicks Jericho off, sending Y2J back to the corner. As Kane pulls himself up, Jericho runs forward from the corner, but Kane reverses with a Huge Tilt-a-Whirl slam right in the centre of the ring.

The boos being to rain down on Kane from the New York fans as the Big Red Machine has had enough, and raises his right arm, wriggling his fingers, signalling the Chokeslam is on its way. Jericho stands up in a daze, selling the Whirl slam and unknowingly turns round into the monstrous hand of Kane, which is now wrapped around Jericho’s throat. Kane throws Jericho’s other arm over his own and lifts Jericho in the air for the devastating Chokeslam, but Jericho uses a lifeline by wrapping his arm around Kane’s head just in time and counters into a drilling DDT! A battered Y2J rolls a fallen Kane over and puts an arm over the Monster, going for the pin: 1--2--Kane gets a shoulder up! The MSG audience boo the Big Red Machine as the despaired look on Jericho’s face tells a story of its own. Jericho’s despair turns to anger as Jericho stands up, yelling “get up you son of a b*tch!” to Kane. Jericho stands waiting to pounce as suddenly Kane sits up, but Jericho runs and dropkicks Kane in the face!! Jericho takes a moment to breathe as Kane uses the ropes to pull himself to his feet. Kane turns round and looks at Jericho, who is standing just in front of the left-hand side of the ring (opposite the entrance ramp). Kane looks furiously at Jericho and charges, but Jericho cleverly trips Kane and the Monster is catapulted face-first into the steel cage wall! Kane yells as Jericho swiftly rolls Kane up looking for a pinfall! 1-2-Kane explodes out of the roll-up! Jericho quickly gets to his feet and turns round only to be met by a blasting Big Boot from Kane! Kane shakes his head and walks to the cage door, not wanting to fight any longer. New York’s loyal fans jeer and boo the Big Red Monster as he tries to undo the lock in the cage door.

Meanwhile behind him, Jericho is slowly coming to his feet. Kane now looks irate as he is having trouble with the lock when from behind Jericho runs and pushes Kane, with Kane stumbling forward and the Monster’s head especially ramming into the cage door. The weight of Kane’s body against the door has forced it open! Jericho’s eyes widen as he pulls Kane out the way and tries to escape the cage! Kane is busted open, but Kane still has some power left in him and clubbers Jericho’s back again and again, then pulls Jericho hair and brings him to the centre of the ring. Kane wraps his hand around the throat of Jericho, throws Y2J’s other arm over his own, picks up Jericho high into the air and slams Y2J back into the ground with a humungous Chokeslam!! The New Yorkers are furiously booing Kane, who has a heartless, sadistic look on his face, staring down and laughing to himself at a broken Jericho. After a few moments Kane goes for the pinfall: 1-2-Kane breaks his own pinfall! Joey Styles and The Coach question Kane’s motives as the Big Red Monster stands up and does a deadly cut-throat gesture, signalling that he wants the Tombstone Piledriver. Kane grabs the head of Jericho and pulls a defenceless Y2J to his feet. Kane keeps a hold of Jericho, looking him in the face and smiling, saying “it’s over Jericho, it’s over”. Kane then picks Y2J up and throws his body onto his right shoulder, but out of desperation Jericho struggles on Kane’s shoulder. Jericho manages to slide off, and resorts to nailing Kane with a low blow! The audience roars with cheers for Jericho as Jericho takes a moment regain his energy while Kane crumbles to the floor of the centre of the ring. Whilst Kane is down Jericho runs to the ropes, jumps from the second one and nails Kane with a hard Lionsault! Jericho pulls the leg of Kane and goes for a pin: 1--2--Kane kicks out!!

Jericho punches the mat with both fists in fury as Kane remains lying on the mat. Jericho walks over to the ropes and begins to climb the punishing steel cage. Jericho pulls slowly, taking a step at a time as the crowd continues to cheer their hero on, but suddenly behind Jericho, Kane sits up yet again in the ring! Jericho unknowingly continues to climb the cage when Kane turns round and attacks the back of Jericho with a club with his right arm! Jericho stumbles whilst trying to balance himself on the top rope as Kane now climbs onto the top turnbuckle! Jericho is holding onto the cage for dear life as Kane has balanced himself by standing on the top turnbuckle and holding onto the cage with his right arm. Kane grabs Jericho's head with this left arm and rams it into the steel cage wall. Jericho staggers but manages to hold on tightly to the cage wall. Kane furiously grabs Jericho's head again and one more time slams it into the cage wall, yet a battered, bloody Y2J is STILL holding onto the cage! An enraged Big Red Monster goes to crash Jericho's face into the cage for a third straight time but Jericho blocks Kane's left arm with his right, manages to tug the arm, and makes the Monster lose his balance and land crotch-first onto the turnbuckle!! The fans are going crazy as Jericho now doesn’t look back and pulls himself up the cage! Kane is down on the mat from the low blow as Jericho has now reached the top of the cage! Jericho rolls over the top of the cage as Kane sits up inside the cage!! The fans are going absolutely insane as Jericho climbs down the cage and jumps off with his feet touching the floor!! Jericho has done it!!!

Justin Roberts: HERE IS YOUR WINNER AND THE NEWWWWWW WWE WORLD CHAMPION…CHRIS JERICHOOOO!!!

Joey Styles: OH MY GODDD!!!! JERICHO HAS DEFEATED KANE!! JERICHO IS THE FIRST-EVER WWE WORLD CHAMPION!!

AFTERMATH: Jericho is lying on the floor as Theodore Long walks over and presents Jericho with the NEW WWE World Championship belt!! Inside the cage Kane has stood up and in fury rattles the cage structure with brutal strength! Some officials (including Teddy) help Jericho to his feet, and Y2J musters all the little energy he has left from this unforgiving battle to raise his arm, holding up the WWE World Championship!
