SmackDown comes to you live, this Thursday night, from the Arco arena in Sacramento California. With the No Way Out PPV just three day’s away, this Thursday night represents the last chance for the WWE superstars to make an impression going into their respective match up’s on Sunday, February 17th, 2008 at No Way Out from the Honda centre, in Anaheim California.



IS IT ALL LINKED?

The WWE has been in a constant state of alert, ever since the Game, triple H was attacked over two weeks ago on Monday night Raw, by a mystery attacker. Then, ten days later, on WWE Smackdown, one week ago, Stephanie McMahon was found unconscious on her locker room floor. The prime suspects, being Randy Orton and Vince McMahon were not in the building during the alleged attack, clearing them of any wrong doing. The question as posed, if not McMahon or Orton, then who? It was this past Monday night on Raw, it was sensationally revealed that Stephanie McMahon had not in fact been attacked on Raw, as had previously been thought. It turns out that Stephanie had in fact been drugged. A shocking revelation that stunned the wrestling world. Later on during the same Raw broadcast, Triple H was informed that his locker room had been ransacked. But why? According to security, whoever was in Hunter’s locker room, was looking for something and the game has no idea what. Is it all connected, the attacks, the drugging, the destruction of the Games locker room and if it is, just who is behind it all and why exactly are they doing this?



STEPHANIE, DESTECTIVES AND MORE….

After being the victim of the drugging, last Thursday night on SmackDown, Stephanie McMahon will return to WWE television this Thursday night, however Stephanie will not be returning alone. As a result of what happened to Stephanie, there has been a police investigation opened up, with the view to discover who was behind the drugging of Stephanie McMahon. According to reports, Stephanie is in a foul mood and has stated that she doesn’t plan on waiting around for the detectives to get to bottom of this, she has promised she is going to get to the bottom of this herself. Just what does Stephanie have in mind? Not only will Stephanie be out for answers, but the Game Triple H will be out to discover just who had the audacity to destroy his locker room last Monday on RAW. WWE security are said to be on high alert following the events of last Monday night with extra security men and women being drafted in. Will we finally get some answers, or even a clue as to what this is all about, Thursday night? You’ll just have to tune in to find out.



HOGAN AND FLAIR, A TAG TEAM IN TURMOIL!

The tag team partnership of Hulk Hogan and Ric Flair, although unorthodox, had been very successful. The duo, last week on Smackdown, following their contract signing for a match at WrestleMania discovered that they had also signed up to take on the reigning tag team champion, Mark Henry and Big daddy V. The chairman of the WWE, Mr McMahon had tricked the two legends into teaming up, in the hope that they would not be able to co-exist. However, much to the chagrin of the Mr McMahon, Hogan and Flair overcame the odds and defeated Mark Henry and Big Daddy V, winning the tag team championship belt in an historic and memorable WWE moment. The respect between the two men had been unquestionable, they had bought expressed how much they respect the other for what they had done in the wrestling industry. Therefore it seemed Mr McMahon’s plan had been an unsuccessful one, that it of course, until Monday night on Raw. The issue of trust arose, with Hogan claiming that Ric Flair, all along had set out to destroy Hulkamania for good. Meanwhile Ric Flair claimed Hogan was only out for himself and wanted to end Ric Flairs career and remain in the spotlight at any costs. During their tag team title defence match, it became apparent just how much had changed in four days. With neither man trusting the other and tempers flaring, the inevitable happened and both men traded blows in the middle of the ring. So what now, they are still the tag team champions, but how are they ever going to be able to co-exist together in the ring after the events Monday night!



“I’VE SEEN HIM, I’VE SEEN THE UNDERTAKER”

Those were the words uttered by Edge, Monday night on Raw. It was a night Edge may never forget for the rest of his life. From the very start of the broadcast, it was evident that Edge was not himself. He appeared dazed, confused and was extremely jumpy. It was we thought a result of the haunting message delivered by Paul Bear last Thursday on Smackdown, claiming the Undertaker will be reborn and he soon will return to the WWE, in search of Edge. However Edge’s actions were that of a mad man, answering his door with a baseball bat in hand, listening out for noises, rambling to himself and claiming he needed to go into hiding. Vickie Guerrero eventually got Edge to reveal what had caused this drastic change in character. Edge informed Vickie that he had seen the Undertaker. The two then decided to flee the arena together, but it didn’t go to plan. On arriving at the parking lot, Edge discovered his car was gone and that his parking space was now occupied by a hearse. In the back of that hearse, was an open coffin containing an effigy of Edge. Paul Bear then revealed himself to be the driver, before driving the hearse off into the night, leaving Edge a terrified and shattered man, on the his knee’s in the middle of the parking lot. Will the mind games continue this Thursday night? Only time will tell.

Just twenty-four hours removed from Sports Entertainment’s only interactive Pay-Per-View Cyber Sunday and Raw comes to you this Monday from the Wachovia Center in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania. After such a night, what can we expect to see as the road to the Survivor Series begins?

Last night John Cena once again successfully retained his WWE Championship against Randy Orton, this being the fourth consecutive Pay-Per-View win for Cena. Orton comfortably won the ballad which came as a surprise to some, as Shawn Michaels was yet to lose an interactive vote up until this point in time. Cena looks to be ready to shrug off Orton, but rumour has is it that Orton is ready to take another bite at the bone. Will the Legend Killer get a chance at the WWE title again, and if he does, will he be successful in claiming it?

Also last night we saw the return of D-Generation X, albeit for one night only. With Randy Orton being voted into the WWE Championship match against Cena, Triple H and Shawn Michaels teamed up once again to take on the World Tag Team Champions the Redneck Wrecking Crew Lance Cade and Trevor Murdoch. The match ended in victory for the King of Kings and the Heartbreak Kid with the two hitting their respective finishers to get the double pin. Angry with his loss, tonight one half of the champions Cade challenges HBK to a one-on-one match. Will Cade even the score or will the Heartbreak Kid make it two in the matter of twenty-four hours?

At Cyber Sunday Beth Phoenix won her first ever Woman’s Championship in a Battle Royale featuring Raw and Smackdown! divas as well as ECW vixens. Ever since coming to Raw Phoenix has been on a phenomenal streak and the Glamazon doesn’t look to stop there. It has been confirmed that the new Woman’s champion will be in action tonight. After already being under the pump by Phoenix, who will feel the wrath of the Glamazon for a second consecutive night or can they perhaps overcome and overwhelm the champ?

In the only Raw title change of the night, Mr Kennedy was selected by the public to face Jeff Hardy for the Intercontinental Championship which ended up with Kennedy capturing the title after hitting the Mic Check. Tonight the new champion teams up with the ‘Samoan Bulldozer’ Umaga to take on Hardy and Carlito. Will Kennedy go two for two in the span of a day or will the Rainbow Haired Warrior get the last laugh for now?
