Re: BTB Advertisement Thread
Here is a preview for the first show in my new thread... Save_BTB.222. Along with a sneak peek at the opening promo.
Raw Preview
If Wrestlemania 17 proved anything to the world, it's that indeed anything can happen in the WWF. Before last night, nobody would have dreamt that former arch enemies, Vince McMahon and "Stone Cold" Steve Austin could ever form any sort of union... However that's just what happened when the WWF champion helped Austin defeat the Rock and become the new WWF champion. This week on Raw, both men will be in the building. Will Austin explain his actions? And what will other WWF superstars have to say on the matter?
At Wrestlemania, 5 new champions were crowned... But for some, their reigns are already in jeopardy. Two men have been granted rematches for the belts they had going into Wrestlemania, and both of these matches will take place on Raw. Tune in to see Raven attempt to reclaim his hardcore title from the big red machine Kane, whilst Test challenges "latino heat" Eddie Guerrero for the Europeon title that was stolen from him.
It's confirmed that other big names, such as Chris Jericho, Triple H, William Regal and The Big Show will also be in the building... However it's also been rumoured that Shane McMahon will be there. After he defeated his Dad, Vince at Wrestlemania in a street fight, this could only lead to a volatile situation.
Tune in to Raw to witness what is sure to be the explosive aftermath of Wrestlemania 17.
Quote:
WWF Raw
A video package is presented, showing the highlights of the spectacle known as Wrestlemania 17... These include the breathtaking spots from the TLC match in which Edge and Christian cemented their legacy by becoming seven time WWF tag team champions... The brutal brawl between Triple H and The Undertaker, where the American Badass would ride out still undefeated on the grandest stage of them all... The emotional rollercoaster that was Shane McMahon beating his father in a street fight, with the help of his previously sedated mother... and of course, the moment that sent a shiver down the spine of the business... the heart-stopping handshake between WWF chairman Vince McMahon, and his arch nemesis Stone Cold Steve Austin.
After this a more familiar video package is shown. This one shows glimpses of Raw’s most chaotic and iconic moments over the years whilst “All together now” plays in the background. Once it ends, we are taken into the arena, where the stage is currently being lit up by the pyro blaring out of it... When the fireworks come to a halt the noise is replaced by the screaming fans. The camera pans around them and we see signs such as “Why Austin Why”... “Sellout 3:16”... “DTA: Don’t Trust Austin” and “this is not a Stone Cold sign”
J.R: 18000 people have jam packed the Toyota centre to witness what is sure to be a historic night. Hello everybody this is Jim Ross alongside Paul Heyman, and Paul after what we saw last night at Wrestlemania... I just don’t know what we can expect tonight.
Paul Heyman: Last night showed us that anything can happen in this business. Wrestlemania 17 will be remembered forever... remembered as the night that 5 new champions where crowned... It’ll be remembered as the night the world bared witness to classics such as TLC 2, Triple H vs The Undertaker, Chris Benoit vs Kurt Angle, the list goes on. But most of all it’ll be remembered as the night that Steve Austin made the most successful comeback in the history of the WWF.
J.R: Well perhaps that’s how you’ll remember it. But i’ll always remember that shocking image of Stone Cold Steve Austin shaking hands with Vince McMahon... i’ll remember it as the night, that Steve Austin sold his soul to the devil!!!
*No Chance in Hell*
The crowd erupts into a chorus of boos as the WWF chairman, Vince McMahon makes his way out onto the stage. A huge grin spread across his face.
J.R: Speak of the chairman.
Vince struts down the ramp, ignoring the jeers he’s receiving from the fans at ringside. He then climbs onto the ring apron and orders ring announcer Lillian Garcia (who was still in the ring after introducing him) to hold the ropes open for him. With a look of disgust on her face, Lillian obliges. Once he’s entered the ring Vince requests her microphone before she leaves the squared circle (once again she follows his orders)... at this point his music stops, but he has to wait a few more seconds for the fan’s boos to quieten down before he can speak. Yet Vince’s smile doesn’t falter.
Vince McMahon: Well I think it goes without saying that Wrestlemania 17 was a huge success.
There’s a quiet but mixed response from the fans. Some cheer in agreement that Wrestlemania 17 was an astounding show... whilst some continue to boo anything Vince says and does.
Vince McMahon: Indeed... when my time on Earth comes to an end.
Vince is suddenly interrupted by a huge cheer from the fans. Understandably the chairman loses his smile at this point, and his expression turns into one of immense anger... However he continues his sentence as though nothing happened.
Vince McMahon: When my time on Earth comes to an end, Wrestlemania 17 will be yet another historic event, i’ll be remembered for.
His expression now becomes more sombre.
Vince McMahon: However... for me personally. Wrestlemania 17 came with a whole spectrum of emotions... on the one hand. I was beaten and humiliated by my FORMER son... Shane McMahon.
There’s another mixed reaction from the fans. Some cheer the fact that Shane beat his dad. Whilst others boo because of Vince referring to Shane as his “former son”. However Vince’s smile returns.
Vince McMahon: But on the other hand, you could say... Well you could say, that at Wrestlemania 17, i acquired... a new son.
The fans boo in disgust, causing Vince to momentarily pause.
Vince McMahon: For those of you that weren’t privileged enough to see this historic moment take place... I’m going to give you a second chance... Roll the tape!!!
J.R: Oh i don’t think i can watch this again.
Paul Heyman: I could watch it all day.
A small video package is shown on the titantron. It displays some of the highlights from the main event between the Rock and Stone Cold, focusing mainly on the points where Vince helped Austin defeat the Brahma Bull. At the end the colour fades away and it shows Austin brutally beating his opponent with the chair followed by the handshake between him and McMahon in slow motion... Afterwards we are taken back to ringside where we find Vince, still smiling in the middle of the ring with the crowd booing him.
Vince McMahon: Now i know you’re all wondering how this union between Steve Austin and myself came into fruition... You all want answers right?!
The crowd cheer in response to the question.
Vince McMahon: Well if the decision was up to me, then quite frankly, i’d say you people don’t deserve any answers.
Unsurprisingly, this time the fans boo.
Vince McMahon: However that it isn’t for me to decide... for you see, I have left that decision to the man in question... And that man is going to make this decision, right now.
An excited muttering spreads over the arena.
Vince McMahon: So without further ado, let me introduce to you...
*Glass Shatters*
The familiar sound of Austin’s theme music causes the fans to go into a frenzy. The Texas Rattlesnake appears on the stage holding onto one end of his new title belt in his right hand. Vince pauses for a second, seemingly a little bewildered that he was interrupted... but quickly regains his composure and finishes his sentence.
Vince McMahon: YOUR NEW WWF CHAMPION!!!... STONE COLD, STEVE AUSTIN!!!
Austin walks down to the ring without giving any of the fans a second glance. Most of the people are booing him, however some continue to cheer the champion, obviously reluctant to boo their hero.
Paul Heyman: It’s you queue J.R
J.R:.... I considered this man my best friend... Damn it, i thought i knew this man.
Paul Heyman:........ Well if you’re not going to do it..... IT’S STONE COLD, STONE COLD, STONE COLD, BY GAWD IT’S THE RATTLESNAKE.
Once he enters the ring, Austin poses on the turnbuckles of each corner, in his usual manner . Even though most members of the audience are jeering him, everyone still seems to want to get a photo of the champ... Once he steps down from the final turnbuckle, he walks over to Vince, who hands him his microphone. The two men stare at each other for a second or two before Steve turns away and looks down at the mic... At this point the music stops, and in it’s place is the continuous reaction from the Texan crowd... Austin waits a few seconds for them to quieten down, but then just talks over them anyway (which causes them to shut up, since they want to hear what he has to say). He turns his attention back to Vince.
Steve Austin: Whilst i’m flattered that you consider me a son, don’t go expecting Stone Cold to sit on your knee and call you paps.
This comment causes Vince to look a little nervous.
Steve Austin: All you need to do, is make sure that this here belt, stays on this here shoulder, and this relationship will work fine and dandy.
Whilst McMahon begins to regain his composure, Austin turns his attention to the fans for the first time.

GWE Dynamite! 02-21-2008 Preview!
This week, the superstars of GWE travel to Reno, Nevada, for another hour of thrilling Dynamite action inside the Lawlor Events Center!
Last week GWE already wrote history, as the main event of Dynamite was Rob Van Dam versus Hulk Hogan for the GWE Global Championship. The match lived up to the expectations, pleasing fans worldwide. And in the end it was Hulk Hogan who was left standing with the championship held high.
This week, Hulk Hogan will be opening the show with an important message. Will this message concern the Global Championship, or some other hot issue?
Also last week, we saw the rather dubious debuts of The Invaders, James Gibson and Kid Kash. They intervened in the tag team match between the Basham Brothers and Kidman and Kazarian, but said they didn't have any personaly issues with any of them. Will they be popping up again this week, or lay low for the time being?
Last week, Carlito Colon, GWE's Bad Apple, vowed to make an end to the career of Rey Mysterio. Carlito advised Rey to grow eyes in the back of his head, because Carlito could be showing up behind him any time he wants. Will Carlito live up to his promise this week, or postpone the judgment?
And as far as confirmed wrestling action for this week goes, we will see Danny Basham battling Psicosis and Sean Waltman, the X-factor, taking on Scott Taylor.
Don't miss all this thrilling action and excitement, this Thursday, only on the ESPN network!

Show can be located here: Dynamite!

Raw Preview for January 1st:
At Starrcade, history was made! WCW was eliminated, and Mr. McMahon defeated Kurt Angle in a Street Fight to keep the WWE in business! In addition to that JBL, successfully defended his World Heavyweight Championship against Shawn Michaels!
However with that said, Starrcade and the year 2006 is over. With the first Raw and WWE show of the year to take place, back at the Garden, what will happen? The Road to the Royal Rumble will also take place, as Raw will have two qualifying matches for the Rumble.
Plus, Mr. McMahon will address the WWE in a "Victory Speech!" What will the Chairman of the WWE have to say, just eight days after the biggest match of his career?
All this and much more on Raw!
Raw has been posted!
