After what is being considered the most important night in Ring Of Honor history, the new year is shaping up to be something completely different than what ROH has seen in the past. In just one night, three new champions were crowned, and all three sets of champions have different motives. First, the new ROH World Champion, Chris Hero, along with his entourage of Sweet & Sour Inc. Hero is all about proving he's the absolute best athlete in any sport today. Despite his Resilience members abandoning him, he continued to fight against the No Remorse Corps, specifically their leader Roderick Strong, which lead to his big championship win. After making history by becoming the first ever Ironman Champion, Erick Stevens is looking to make 2008 the year that he shows he deserves his spot in ROH.
Wednesday Night WarzonePreview
The war between Bryan Danielson and Takeshi Morishima that's waged on for months looks to be coming to an end soon. Both men are beaten, bloody, and battered from all the fighting. Morishima, a behemoth in the ring that ran through the competition as ROH World Champion like a tank, has even shown signs of being broken down. Danielson's list of injury continues to grow, starting with the 'shot heard around the world' which broke Danielson's orbital bone, followed by the twenty stitches Danielson is preparing for the imminent final battle between the two indivuals, and wants to practice on one of Morishima's toughest opponents ever and NOAH-mate, Naomichi Marafuji. Marafuji has a list of clean wins over top talent, but a win over Danielson would skyrocket him into the title contention he desperately seeks. It'll truly be one of the biggest rematches in ROH history as two of the best wrestlers in the world meet in the ring on Wednesday Night Warzone!
Erick Stevens sees the Ironman Championship as a belt that represents determination, endurance, and courage. Stevens displays all three traits in every one of his matches, and he wants it to continue in the new year. Wanting to be known as a 'fighting champion', Stevens is willing to defend his belt on the first ever Wednesday Night Warzone and continue to make history. The opponent he selected is none other than this former stablemate Matt Cross. Stevens decided that no one is more deserving of a title shot than Cross, who he feels also displays the three previous traits every time he steps into the ring. Having teamed in many different situations, both men are very aware of how the other man thinks and works in the ring, making the winner of the match a real toss-up.
Pissed-off is an understatement regarding the current mood of the Briscoe Brothers. They killed themselves every night they stepped in the ring during 2007 to make the ROH World Tag Team Championships the most important titles in the world, and put on many classic matches in the proccess that without a doubt took years off their lives. However, after reigning on top of the world, they came crashing down in a blaze of glory when the Age Of The Fall finally ended their 9 month reign as champions. The Age Of The Fall didn't just take their titles, they took their dignity by beating them senseless after the match just to prove a point. Needless to say, the Briscoes are looking for payback. In order to get their payback though, they have to prove that they deserve the rematchin the first place by winning a big match. Enter the Vulture Squad. Manager Julius Smokes feel as if the Vultures have been slacking recently and lacking direction, so they need to step it up if they want to be taken seriously. Beating the former champions is exactly the step in the right direction that Smokes is looking for. Which team is willing to pull out all the stops in order to stake their claim as the next challengers to the tag titles? Only time will tell.

Some of you may already know that I've returned to BTB with a new thread, WWE: The Road to Wrestlemania. I'll be kicking off the thread with an episode on Monday Night Raw, on New Years Eve. Here's the preview for that show.
WWE MONDAY NIGHT RAW PREVIEW
We've all seen Jeff Hardy on the role of his life, starting off at Survivor Series where him and Triple H both remained the sole survivors of the Traditional Survivor Series match. The role would continue when Hardy got a win over Triple H at Armageddon, when Mr. Kennedy got himself involved in the match for an unknown reason. We'll see if Jeff Hardy's big winning streak continues this Monday Night on Raw, when he teams up with someone who is very familiar with Randy Orton, Chris Jericho, to take on the team of Randy Orton and "The Samoan Bulldozer," Umaga.
Speaking of Mr. Kennedy, like stated above, Kennedy screwed Triple H out of an oppertunity to wrestle for the WWE Championship at the Royal Rumble, but the reason for the screwjob is still uncertain. It has been reported that Triple H has been furious since Armageddon, and has not had a chance to address the fans due to the Tribute to the Troops show. This week, Triple H finally gets his chance to demand an answer from Kennedy, but will Kennedy have an answer? Or will he back out? Find out this week.
In other news, with the unexpected closing of the ECW brand, the ECW Extremists currently have no settlement on the WWE Roster, but General Manager William Regal has promised us that some of ECW's talent will be on Monday Night Raw this week, and they may perhaps find their permenant spot on the WWE roster, on Monday Night Raw.
Some championship gold will be on the line this week on Raw as well, when Maria challenges "The Glamazon," Beth Phoenix for the Womens Championship. Maria came short at Armageddon, but can she get the job done and fulfill her dream which is to become the Womens Champion?

The new GM of Raw JBL has been announced on WWE.com already but he & Vince McMahon still haven't come to terms on a contract yet. McMahon has demanded that the Last & Final Contract Negotiation be on the first Raw of New Beginnings. Its definitely gonna be heated.
Also with the interference from Kenny Dykstra in their match & his brother Matt taking Dykstra out, Jeff Hardy got distracted & allowed Randy Orton to get away with a victory. What will Jef have to say on Raw this Monday ?
Beth Phoenix tore a hole into Candice Michelle at the Royal Rumble we'll see what new diva is in Beth's path of destruction on Raw this week.
Carlito & Santino got into a fight after losing their match to Rhodes & Holly. Carlito delivered a devistating backcracker to Santino after being slapped. Santino is sure not to take this one lying down.
