TNA iMPACT preview! June 5th 2008 – From the iMPACT zone, Orlando!
We are now just three nights away from Slammiversary and TNA’s sixth year anniversary, tonight we make the final stop on the road to Slammiversary, and we will witness all the fallout from last week’s dramatic iMPACT plus a massive main event!
Ever since Sacrifice Christian Cage and AJ Styles have been trying to get their revenge on their respective enemies, Christian on Rhino and Tomko, and AJ Styles on Kurt Angle, but so far both Styles and Christian have so far failed in their attempt to gain their revenge. Last week the two rivalries crossed over as Christian Cage battled Tomko and Rhino’s Angle Alliance boss, Kurt Angle. Kurt Angle won that match after a distraction from Rhino but a three-on-one beat down then ensued on Christian, only for AJ Styles to save the day and clear the ring with a steel chair. AJ and Christian looked very unsure of each other at the end of the show with all their history together, but tonight they must put everything behind them as they team up to face off against Kurt Angle and Tomko in the main event. Can Christian and AJ co-exist? And who will come out on top in this huge main event? And will Christian Cage reveal who he has chosen to be the Special Enforcer for his Grudge match against Rhino this Sunday?
This Sunday’s King of the Mountain match will feature six wrestlers and over the past few weeks we have seen five wrestlers qualify for the match, those being the champ Samoa Joe, Booker T, Bobby Lashley, Robert Roode and Scott Steiner. Last week Jim Cornette announced that a battle royal on tonight’s show would determine who would take the six and final place in the KOTM match. Who will win the battle royal and win the final place in the famous KOTM match?
A couple of weeks ago the Motor City Machineguns made a challenge to tag team champs LAX, challenging them to a tag team title match this Sunday at Slammiversary. But so far there has been no decision from LAX, and last week we saw them come out after the Guns’ match and applaud the team from Detroit, leaving us all wondering yet again. Tonight the two teams find themselves in a strange predicament as they team up, will they co-exist and pick up the win? And will we get an answer from LAX regarding the challenge to a title match this Sunday?
Gail Kim shocked everyone last week when she answered the open challenge from Awesome Kong to a title match this Sunday, Kong was hoping to face off against a new talent but Kim came out instead, and despite Kong initially rejecting Kim’s challenge, Jim Cornette overruled her and made the match, but with an added stipulation, it is an ‘All of Nothing Match’, meaning the loser will never get a shot at the title as long as the other holds the title. Tonight there will be a contract signing, what will happen when these two ladies come face to face just three nights away from their next battle?

The Sandman after more than a year away from the WWE returns to ECW in a manner most befitting of an ECW original. With the strike of the cane, Tommy Dreamer falls flat on the mat as the Sandman stands triumphant over his still body.
Triple H, after a month long absence returns to SmackDown with a vengeance. After secretly booking a match against WWE Champion Edge, he revealed himself to the fans of Key Arena and to the WWE Champion himself. Armed with his signature sledge hammer, the King of Kings gave an ominous warning to Edge and all those in attendance that things are about to change.

This Thursday night, TNA Wrestling returns to Spike TV starting at 9PM for two hours of Total Nonstop Action as the journey to the July 13 Victory Road Pay-Per-View begins.
The below is a preview of what is scheduled to take place on the broadcast. As always, matches are subject to change.
-Samoa Joe’s opponent for Victory Road will be determined this Thursday, as Christian Cage, Booker T, Rhino and Kevin Nash will square off in a 4 Way Match, with the first person to get a pinfall, claiming victory.
-TNA Knockout Champion Awesome Kong lost $25,000 of her own money last week, as ODB interfered to help Charlotte take the money. ODB issued a Challenge for a Title Match, and we can confirm Kong will give her decision on the show.
-Last week Alex Shelley became the first person to Qualify as a member of Team TNA, this week another Qualifying Match will be held between Shelley’s tag-team partner Chris Sabin and Johnny Devine.
-Jim Cornette has announced that TNA Tag-Team Champions LAX will get a Rematch with James Storm and Robert Roode, last week Storm and Roode decided not to compete, leading to LAX laying a beatdown on the two.
-Also on iMPACT! Abyss will take on ReliK, last week Abyss put Scott Steiner through a table after Steiner tried to gain revenge from Slammiversary. Will Steiner have any plans for Abyss this week?
-Plus there will be more news and matches announced for the upcoming July 13 Victory Road Pay-Per-View event, from the Reliant Arena in Houston, Texas.
