Just posted my first NGW show here is a quick sample of a promo.
Mark Jindrak: Look at these joke champs. Or should I say ‘chumps’? They call themselves the real tag team champs but Alex and Chris tell me whom have you beaten to call yourselves legit NGW tag team champs? You sure as hell haven’t beaten the two of us, have you?
Alex Shelly: Chris I’ll take this one…Look at the two of you. You’re nothing more then WCW castoffs, oh no wait, you both were in WWE weren’t you, combined for a total of less then two years I think. Mark who teamed with Lance Cade before getting drafted to Smackdown. You both were billed as the future of the wrestling business no less then five years ago. Sean what titles did you hold in the WWE. You took off to Japan to partake in K1 kickboxing, what made you come back? Is it cause you kept getting your ass handed to you match after match? Hmm, wasn’t that the same thing that happened to you during your wrestling career?
Wanna see more? Follow the link in my sig, you review I'll review yours. Thanks.
Last night’s Cyber Sunday was considered a success backstage, and that is an achievement considering there was no Triple H, Undertaker or Shawn Michaels actually wrestling on the card. It was thought that Triple H would get the votes to face Randy Orton, but it turns out that there was only one vote separating the two of them. The angle that will come out of it will see Triple H blaming Vince, since he made the announcement and that Punk will get some kind of push off of his title match.
From all accounts Raw tonight will see the start of the major storyline we mentioned several weeks ago. It appears that it could be based around the Triple H/Mr. McMahon rivalry, although it is still being kept top secret, with only a few insiders knowing what will go down, which is said to be an absolute bombshell that will change the face of Raw for the next several months at least.
The build up to the Survivor Series will also start and it is being said that the show will feature several traditional elimination matches, and possibly the most star filled one ever too.
One of the big talking points from the show last night is that we saw the return of the Save_Us. videos, indicating that Chris Jericho has indeed signed a WWE contract and will be returning soon, although no plans for his return have been disclosed and will most likely remain that way. On another interesting note, it appears that Ric Flair has settled his differences with the WWE and will be making a return soon, but again, we are not aware of what is in store for him when he does return. We have heard absolutely nothing about the status of Shawn Michaels either as he continues to take a break from the road. With Jeff Hardy & Punk getting a push on Raw, don’t expect to see him make a return very soon.
Back to last night and while it was considered a big shock, Jeff Hardy’s win over Mr. Kennedy was seen to work out best for both of them. Jeff’s work rate and performances lately have been better that at any other point in his career and he is on the verge of becoming a top star on Raw, causing a stir on whether Shawn Michaels or Chris Jericho will return to the brand in the near future. Creative decided that a win over Kennedy would really give Jeff the attention he deserves and make it a springboard for what he does next, while keeping his Intercontinental title run going. Kennedy’s loss was seen as no big deal to creative as he hasn’t really hit the heights on Raw yet, but is considered a main event waiting to happen, and losing in a ladder match to Jeff wouldn’t hurt him as much as a normal match would have. This was the reason behind Kennedy’s interview after the match last night.
Many people were shocked to see Finlay get the rub over Rey Mysterio too last night, but it has been said that a steel cage match was the expected match stipulation and had that been the case, Rey would have gone over Finlay. The only reason that Finlay did defeat Rey was that it was seen that Finlay could not use the words “I Quit” due to his character, that is why Rey lost in the manner he did, being knocked out by a high impact chair shot from Finlay. Rey didn’t have any problems losing in this way as it wasn’t down to him doing a job and it keeps the feud going a little longer. With Rey having lost to Chavo Guerrero last year, it was also seen that he couldn’t quit either and that was the reason behind the unexpected finish.
The most controversial angle of the night was in the highly anticipated clash between Matt Hardy & MVP. With opinions split, no one knew how this was going to go and it seems creative were going to take the flack for it. The decision was made as it was felt that the feud has a lot more gas left in the tank and that MVP isn’t quite ready for the step up with Edge having just come back to the brand, and an extended run as US Champion would help him get more credibility. The reason for Matt’s chair shot and disqualification was to keep Matt over too and extend the feud with MVP retaining in as most controversial fashion as possible, but showing Matt can beat him too.
The Open House rules continue until the end of the year and with Jeff & Punk getting decent pushes on Raw, it is said that not only the likes of Jericho, Michaels and Flair could be switching brand when they return, but also injured stars like John Cena, Bobby Lashley & Gregory Helms, plus big stars currently on the rosters could also switch. The injured superstars could possibly make a return and announce that they will debut as soon as they are healthy. Only Lashley could return before the end of the year and appear on television in competitive action.
Mick Foley impressed backstage with his performance as Smackdown General Manager last week and is considered to be a possibility to take over permanently, although no decision has been made yet. Other names being mentioned to have a trial run are Dusty Rhodes, Ted DiBiase, JBL, Eric Bischoff, The Coach and also William Regal who showed his displeasure at being over ruled last night, meaning a switch is possible.
On the TNA front, Booker T indeed made his much speculated debut at the Impact tapings. The WWE are said to be not even slightly bothered about Booker going over there and feel that their ratings will never surpass 1.2 following the debuts of Kurt Angle, Sting & Christian Cage with ratings still remaining at the same figure.
That’s all for now folks and stay tuned for more updates.

The Aftermath of Hell.
The fans in attendance never expected to see their favourite superstar and WWF Champion Stone Cold Steve Austin join Mr McMahon's Corporation last week, but thats exactly what they did see. After a hellacious match with The Rock, Stone Cold Steve Austin attacked Mankind and then joined the Corporation for a beer as the broadcast came to an end. Fans after the broadcast went on to say it was the most shocking thing they have ever witnessed. Tonight on Raw Is War Stone Cold Steve Austin will be kicking off the show telling us all why he turned his back on his fans and the business. What does The Rattlesnake have to say, and will the rest of The Corporation show up?
Last week Degeneration X were ruling the roost when they captured both the World Wrestling Federation Tag Team Championships, and the WWF Hardcore Championship in the same night. Even though Triple H had left the night before, it looked like DX were as high as they ever had been. Tonight on Raw Is War Road Dogg will have to defend the Intercontinentsl Championship against last weeks winner Val Venis. Will Degeneration X be able to keep all the momentum this week, or will the loss of their other co-owner be too much for them?
The on-going rivalry between Goldust and Ken Shamrock continued last week when ken came down to ringside during Goldust's match with Val Venis. ken Shamrock came down and took Ryan his younger sister back up the ramp. This caused Goldust to get counted out trying to save Ryan. Is Ken Shamrock trying to save his baby sister from Goldust, or is there something between the two men which is more ferocious than we think?
Good Ole Jim Ross made a return last week to Raw Is War when he celebrated with proffesional boxer butterbean. Tonight on Raw Is War Jim Ross will be making his return to the announce table. He will replace Michael Cole. Will the fans be happy to once again hear the familiar tune of Jim Ross, and will the roster be just as happy, also what will Michael Cole have to say on the matter?
WWF Commisioner Shawn Michaels reported in an exclusive interview during the week that he has huge plans for this weeks episode. Michaels said it will be as shocking as Austin joining The Corporation, if not bigger. What can Shawn Michaels have in store, and will it indeed turn out to be as shocking?
The Brood made an appearance last week on Raw Is War pledging to focus their attention on someone. Who could they have been talking about, and what will they do this week on raw Is War?
And finally The Ministry came out last week and revealed that they will pick one member of The Corporation off one by one until only Vince McMahon is left. Then if that wasn't shocking enough The Ministry incorporated a new member, Kane! At Wrestlemania they picked out Big Boss Man, who will they pick off this week on Raw Is War?
Tune into Raw Is War to see all of the above unfold in Pittsburgh Pennsylvania.
Will be up this weekend!
