6 DAYS UNTIL THE ROYAL RUMBLE

CENA IS BACK AND GOING FOR GOLD!

Last Monday night saw the shocking return of the former WWE Champion, John Cena. After suffering a torn pectoral muscle several months ago that forced him to relinquish the title he held for so long, it was the current holder of the same relinquished title that was shocked the most to see Cena. Randy Orton was relieved to have survived the challenge of Triple H the week before, but was stunned to see Cena return and lay down the reason behind his return, he wants the WWE Championship back.

And with Orton uncertain on just what condition Cena is in, he decided to gamble and try to take advantage by giving Cena his rematch at the Royal Rumble, but made the match a TLC Match. With the added stipulation, it gives Orton the opportunity to test Cena’s condition, but could we see Orton cause his own downfall. When the two meet in a tag team match last week, the fierce rivals fought there way the crowd before the match could end. With so much drive in both superstars, just what can we expect to see this Monday just six days before they go at it at the Royal Rumble?

STEPH HAS THE POWER, BUT THE McMAHON MEN PLAY THE GAME
Just when Vince McMahon thought he and his two sons, Shane and JBL had all the control on Raw, he found out pretty quickly that it wasn’t going to be that way for very long. His daughter Stephanie McMahon-Helmsley announced in front of the world that her mother Linda had given her the final twenty five percent stake in the company to level the playing field and split the power crisis on Raw. She took advantage too last week as she made one hell of a main event, with Shane and JBL taking on her husband.

Triple H would have himself a mystery partner which turned out to be Ric Flair. However, it took a down turn as the McMahon men along with Orlando Jordan used the numbers game to their advantage, which resulted in both The Game and The Nature Boy ending up on the wrong end of a beat down. We also found out that both Triple H and Mr. McMahon’s sons will take part in this Sunday’s Royal Rumble match. We can only wonder what chaos will go down this Monday night in Minneapolis.

PUNK TAKES THE TITLE, CAN HE WIN IT THIS SUNDAY?
CM Punk has pushed boundary after boundary with the Intercontinental Champion, Jeff Hardy, but just when you thought he couldn’t stoop any lower, last Monday night he may just have pushed Jeff too far. After being put in tag team action, they were left to go at it when Punk used Jeff’s title belt as a weapon to knock him down before beating Jeff with his own move, the swanton bomb. However, Punk was not done and took off with the title belt that he hopes to win this Sunday at the Royal Rumble? Jeff must be dying to gain some retribution on Punk for everything he’s been put through since the Survivor Series, will he be able to exact some revenge just six days before their highly anticipated match up?

KENNEDY & JERICHO MAKE AMENDS
Suffering the pain of a loss two weeks ago, Chris Jericho and Mr. Kennedy were forced to team up with a place in the Royal Rumble at stake for the winners. With Jericho still livid after being sneaked attacked after beating Kennedy at Saturday Night’s Main Event, he snapped and lashed out at Kennedy during the match. However, when Kennedy came round, he retaliated and gave Jericho another taste of The Mic Check, the move that cost them the match.

It also cost them the spot in the Rumble as Jeff Hardy took advantage by removing Kennedy from the ring before Jericho tasted defeat. However, last week, they were given a second chance and both victorious in their matches, and this coming week, they will go at it in six man action when Jericho joins forces with Jeff and Rey Mysterio to take on Kennedy, CM Punk and Elijah Burke. With just six days to go before the Rumble, it sure should be an explosive match up.

IS THE GLAMAZON RATTLED?
It’s not very often, if at all you see Beth Phoenix intimidated, however last week may have given the WWE Womens Champion something to think about. It was two months ago that The Glamazon, whether purposely or not, put Victoria in hospital with a severe concussion following a shot to the head with her title belt. Victoria fell to the floor, but hit her head on a steel chair as she fell, causing her to lose blood as well as suffering the concussion.

And last week The Glamazon was in for a surprise as she was told there was something waiting for her in her locker room. There was. . . Victoria. The also intimidating diva had sprung a surprise on Phoenix and made it clear she was looking for payback, making it very clear that she was not intimidated by The Glamazon. With Victoria making her in ring return this week against Jillian Hall, will the Womens Champion be watching closely at the next contender to her throne?

ARE WE SEEING LOVE’S YOUNG DREAM?
It looks like that we could well be seeing young love blossom in front of our eyes between Cody Rhodes and Kelly Kelly. Ever since helping Kelly out of a difficult situation from The Colon Brothers two weeks ago, it appears that they are both very smitten with each other. Just when it looked like it would be a perfect night for Cody after qualifying for the Royal Rumble at Eduardo’s expense, and having met Kelly met backstage, Eduardo and Carlito struck yet again, paying him back for the defeat earlier on and for possibly interfering in Eduardo’s attempts to charm Kelly the week before. This Monday night will see Cody and Carlito go at it, and with both men already in the Royal Rumble match, who will emerge with a big win going into Sunday night?

FINAL RUMBLE PLACES ON THE LINE
Raw has just two places left in the Royal Rumble match, and this week we will find just who will occupy those spots. Tommy Dreamer meets Santino Marella, and in addition we will see the in ring debut and return of Ron Killings and Orlando Jordan respectively. Having insulted Jordan backstage last week on his first Raw appearance, will Killings be able to follow up for a big victory, or will he suffer at the hands of Orlando?

CONFIRMED FOR THIS WEEK

Jeff Hardy, Chris Jericho & Rey Mysterio
vs. CM Punk, Mr. Kennedy & Elijah Burke

ROYAL RUMBLE QUALIFYING MATCH
Tommy Dreamer
vs. Santino Marella

ROYAL RUMBLE QUALIFYING MATCH
Ron Killings
vs. Orlando Jordan

PLUS

Cody Rhodes
vs. Carlito

vs. Jillian Hall

JD SPURS SMACKDOWN REVIEW

So Edge is in Canada so it’s going to be quite good for him tonight as well as Shawn Michaels getting a lot of heat; because of the Screw Job. Edge’s speech was a little to real? Involving too much ‘real world’ if you know what I mean? Using stuff about Americans shooting people in collages etc. Don’t think they would mention that kind of stuff but at least he didn’t go on about the Montreal Screw Job. Hmmm Shawn Michaels is right … get over it Canada. A good start to the opening promo which is what it should have been ... Edge, the Canadian against the guy who screwed the Canadians favourite. There match at the Rumble will be good. Oh Edge had his own countrymen turn on him, should have seen that coming. And well Tista coming in spices thing up after what has happened over the last couple of weeks. Shawn Michaels line “Don’t give him what he wants” wow ultimate cheese lol. Couple of things didn’t make sense … e.g “If it was up to me Edge and I could shut you up by giving you want” … and Shawn is the World Heavyweight Champion not the WWE Champion if I’m correct? But these were minor things which I don’t really care about because well I understand what you mean mate  . Cool match for tonight but he won’t win me thinks as well as I don’t understand Shawn’s last comment but oh well.

Bloody hell Morrison … slow down! He talks in bunches and quite slow or that’s how I see it maybe he spoke to much in a bunch here. Good match for Masters and McIntyre … Masters getting the win is fine with me it was a nice match to opening Smackdown and well was okay I guess. Good office promo with Regal and Kenny … I like his character and I kinda of like Chavo as the face here as well. Regal saying Kenneth annoys me lol … but it goes with his English stereotyped character. I guess the next match is four corners match? And yes good match … lots of good moves … Miz and Morrison is a good win for me as I like them.

I think for this next promo it had the makings of a good promo but the text need to be spread out in my opinion it’s too bunch up. It was a good one … MVP being the cocky guy he is. Benji and he would make a good tag team I think … this might be what you are building towards. Next match I pretty sure that Shannon Moore will be pinned and not get in the Rumble. Nice match and my prediction was right … great psychology between the two guys near the end and well one or the other will eliminate the other in the Royal Rumble me thinks. Just clicked … Kane = Royal Rumble!

Nice interview for the First Blood match … which by the way should be great, he really built Umaga to be the monster he is. He jumped in and out of his accent but sometimes you were writing with and sometimes you were not but that doesn’t really bother me, makes me laugh when you write it. Chris Harris = Snooze … nah I don’t mind him but I hope his push stops after the Rumble, just don’t like him that much. Really good match, best match so far and was a good length …. It could be worthy of a PPV match I thought it was that good. Good for Hardy to pick up the win as US Champ … great match man.

Matt Bentley introduced hey? Coolies … Edge was basically repeating himself from the opening of the night. Now it is time for the big main event, which isn’t the main event. Undertaker vs. Umaga … should be a great one. Starts off great with Umaga hitting a Samoan Drop and Undertaker getting up really, really, really fast to get out the way of the Wreckin’ Ball. Well Umaga getting busted open was a surprise but then with the ref down I didn’t really surprise me. And then Undertaker got busted open but the ref is still down … well he gets back up and sees Undertaker bleeding … shame Undertaker should of won I think but if these two fight some time in the future Undertaker will win for sure.

Great Main event and match of the night back and fourth like a great match should be … and then seeing Tista come down and ruin it all was the sensible thing to do and well setting up the three way for Royal Rumble is good. But my prediction … Michaels retains …

Overall it was a solid show not as good as last RAW but still good. The opening promo should have been better to be honest but the Main Event made up for that as did Taker and Umaga … so really good matches as well as the solid ones at the start. All good and the Rumble is shaping up nice.

Great Raw preview Nige, I can't wait for the show. The McMahon storyline is great and I can't wait to see what happens next. It'll be interesting to see what happens with the Jeff/Punk rivalry too, I'm really into this feud and I can't wait for the match at the Rumble, I can see Jeff getting one up on Punk though heading into the Rumble as Punk has been in control in recent weeks. I'm looking forward to Killings' in-ring debut too. Let me know when it's up and I'll review, sorry I didn't review your Smackdown I've been busy recently, but I enjoyed reading the show and the two main events were great. I'm off to the Bridge soon for the game, wish me luck!

Good preview Nige. I think one interesting angle in your thread at the moment is the Cody Rhodes/Kelly Kelly angle, because it's different and not something many people would do. I'm intrigued to see where it's headed.

Obviously all of RAW's other feuds are interesting as well. Hopefully Orton re-injures Cena in their TLC match for the WWE Title.

  • Cena & Jeff Hardy taking on Punk & Hardy, with the ending showing Orton and Cena brawling to the back, through the crowd

“Burn in my Light” hits & Randy Orton walks down to the ring in casual clothes with the WWE Championship over his shoulder

***MAJOR HEAT***

Randy Orton:
It was this time last week that we all got one of the biggest shocks in a long time, when out of nowhere, we witnessed the return of John Cena

***BIG POP***

Randy Orton:
I have one piece of advice to offer all of you. . . enjoy it while it lasts, because all the celebrations aren’t gonna last much longer. In fact, you have just six days until you witness John Cena meeting the biggest obstacle of his life. . . ME! . . . You might all like to think that John Cena is going to walk into our TLC match at the Royal Rumble and just throw me to one side, but let me reassure you, that is not gonna happen. I’m not just one of the challengers that you’ve been able to dispose of with ease John, you’re going head to head with The Legend Killer. The man that put you on the shelf. . . the man that has taken out legend after legend after legend, and most importantly the man who will leave Madison Square Garden this Sunday night as the WWE Champion

***HEAT***

Randy Orton:
It’s not arrogance, it’s just the truth John. In case you’ve not seen what’s been going on while you’ve been laid up at home, I have dominated everyone who has got in my way, more than you ever did or could even dream of. . . And I’ll let you on a little secret John, I’m going to dominate you too. . . just like I did when I nearly tore your arm off. . . And best of all John. . . this Sunday, it’s all legal, everything goes

***BIG POP***

Randy Orton:
You all talk about the fact that I’ve never been in a TLC match, but that means absolutely nothing. . . I’ve walked into matches I’ve never competed in before and won. . . I WALKED INTO A HARDCORE MATCH WITH MICK FOLEY, AND I WON. . . I WENT INSIDE A STEEL CAGE AGAINST “THE NATURE BOY” RIC FLAIR AND BEAT THE GREATEST OF ALL TIME. . . I STARED DEATH IN THE FACE WHEN I FACED THE UNDERTAKER IN A CASKET MATCH AND CAME OUT VICTORIOUS. . . AND WHO CAN FORGET THE LAST MAN STANDING MATCH AGAINST TRIPLE H LAST YEAR WHEN I BECAME THE WWE CHAMPION, DEFEATING THE GAME. . . IT DOESN’T MATTER WHAT MATCH IT IS OR WHO THE CHALLENGER IS, THERE IS NOBODY ON THIS PLANET WHO IS CAPABLE OF BEATING THE LEGEND KILLER, EVEN JOHN CENA. . .

***HEAT***

Randy Orton:
. . . YOU ALL WANNA BELIEVE THAT JOHN CENA IS AT A HUNDRED PERCENT, BUT LET ME TELL YOU THAT HE IS MAKING THE BIGGEST MISTAKE OF HIS CAREER. NOT ONLY AM I AT THE VERY TOP OF MY GAME, I WILL FINISH THE JOB I STARTED THIS SUNDAY WHEN I FINISH THE CAREER OF JOHN CENA

***TONS OF HEAT***

Randy Orton:
He might think he is ready to go, he might think he has what it takes to climb that ladder at the Royal Rumble, but John, make no mistake about it, this is a match you can’t win. Your head is on the chopping block, ready to be taken off its shoulders, and this Sunday I will be your executioner. I will take your career and finish it just like that, making your return the shortest return in the history of this business while I continue my destiny to be the greatest WWE Champion of all time

***HEAT***

Randy Orton:
YOU CAN BOO ALL YOU LIKE, THE SIMPLE FACT IS, THERE IS NO ONE INCLUDING EVERY SINGLE ONE OF YOU WHO WILL BE ABLE TO RAIN ON MY PARADE AFTER I’M DONE BEATING CENA THIS SUNDAY. YOU HAVE NO CHOICE BUT TO ACCEPT THAT I AM THE FUTURE OF THIS BUSINESS AND THIS IS THE RANDY ORTON ERA. JOHN CENA’S TIME AT THE TOP IS OVER, IT’S MY TIME TO SHINE, AND I GUARANTEE THAT’S WHAT I’LL DO THIS SUNDAY NIGHT WHEN I DO THE WORLD ONE BIG FAVOUR WHEN I FINISH JOHN CENA ONCE AND FOR ALL. . .

“My Time is Now” blasts out & John Cena walks down to the ring with a smile on his face

***BIG POP with some boos***

John Cena:
Woah, woah, Randy, Randy, woah. . . calm it down already. You don’t have to worry about me being one hundred percent, all you’ve gotta worry about is me taking back the WWE title

***HUGE POP***

John Cena:
Randy, when you tell these people I’m not one hundred percent, you’ve hit the nail on the head. How the hell can I be one hundred percent after what you did four months ago? But you better get ready Randy, because that’s what I’ve been doing from the very second I got out of my operation, doing everything I can to make sure I’m ready to get back as quick as possible to walk into this ring, look you in the eyes and beat the holy hell out of Randy Orton

***BIG POP***

John Cena:
I’ve had sleepless nights, lying awake, imagining every last act of violence that’s gonna fall your way when we finally meet. And low and behold, we’re just six days away Randy, just six days. In six days time Randy, you are gonna have the toughest fight of your life, and like you said. . . it’s all legal. I CAN WRAP AS MANY STEEL CHAIRS AROUND YOUR BIG, OVER SIZED HEAD, SHOVE AS MANY BOOTS UP YOUR ASS THAT IT CAN TAKE AND BEAT YOU UP SO BAD YOU’LL NEVER HAVE THE CHANCE TO PUT ME ON THE SHELF AGAIN

***POP***

John Cena:
But Randy, you need to remember one ever so small detail. . . I know you’ve got a lot going on in that head of yours, but you need to understand just what you’re letting yourself in for at the Royal Rumble. . . I hurt people Randy, and then I beat them. . . something you don’t, and something you won’t do this Sunday night. You’ve never beaten me Randy and it’s not gonna happen anytime soon

***POP***

John Cena:
YOU’RE WALKING INTO THE LIONS DEN AND YOU’RE NOT GETTING OUT ALIVE. AFTER EVERYTHING YOU’VE PUT ME THROUGH AND HAVING TO LISTEN TO ALL THE CRAP THAT’S COME OUT OF YOUR MOUTH, YOU BETTER GET READY TO HAVE YOUR ASS KICKED LIKE IT’S NEVER BEEN KICKED BEFORE, BECAUSE AT THE ROYAL RUMBLE RANDY, I WILL TAKE THE ORTON ERA AND PUT IT FIRMLY IN THE PAST, JUST LIKE MY INJURY AND ONCE AGAIN CLIMB THE LADDER AND BECOME THE WWE CHAMPION

***BIG POP***

John Cena:
And Randy, I can see it in your eyes. . . you’re worried. You know that you can’t beat me. That’s why you took me out like the coward that you are. Deep down Randy, beyond the act that you’re putting on right now, you’ve already resigned to the fact that come Sunday night, you will be losing the WWE Championship

***BIG POP***

Randy Orton:
THAT’S CRAP. YOU DON’T SCARE ME. YOU NEVER HAVE AND YOU NEVER WILL

“No Chance in Hell” comes through the speakers as Vince McMahon walks out to the top of the ramp with a microphone in hand

***LOTS OF HEAT***

Vince McMahon:
Can I just say how great it is to have John Cena back on Raw

***POP***

Vince McMahon:
YEAH, THE CHAMP IS. . . Oh sorry John, I see that the champ is here, it’s just not you

***HEAT***

Vince McMahon:
John, I have to say it really hasn’t been the same since you’ve been away. . . It’s better, and you know why? . . . Because the McMahon men now control Raw and everyone has to obey us, including you John. . . And since you’re arguably the biggest star aside from me and my sons, it makes sense that tonight you learn just how things have changed around here. And you will learn, because right here tonight in that very ring, it’s going to be John Cena going head to head with my boys. . . JBL and Shane O Mac. . . in a No Disqualification match

***MAJOR HEAT***

“No Chance in Hell hits again as Cena shakes his head and Orton smiles, then claps the announcement as Vince turns round and walks to the back with a smile on his face too

***COMMERCIAL BREAK***

Jim Ross: Tonight folks we will see the in ring debut of Ron Killings when he takes on Orlando Jordan for a place in this Sunday’s Royal Rumble. . . But that’s not all, not by a long shot

***VIDEO PROMO***

***CUT BACKSTAGE***

We see Maria getting her make up done when her make up artist finishes up and walks off

***POP***

Maria stands up from the chair and turns round when Melina walks into her

***HEAT***

Melina:
Hey, watch where you’re going

Maria: I’m really sorry Melina, I didn’t mean to. . .

Melina: You’re right you’re sorry. I would slap you across that face of yours, but it looks ugly enough tonight. What happened?

Maria: Nothing

Maria looks really upset as Melina just grins

Melina: Hey don’t cry Maria, I’m sure some typical guy from Minneapolis will take pity on you tonight. I mean that’s the best a bimbo like you can do, some loser from a disgusting state like Minnesota

***HEAT***

Maria:
I like Minnesota

***POP***

Melina:
Well you would Maria, it’s full of losers and no hopers. It’s just so plain and boring. . . kind of like you

***HEAT***

Maria’s becomes even more upset, only for Santino Marella to walk up to them both

***HEAT***

Santino Marella:
What do we have here? Maria, why you cry? It must be-a because you do not have me in your life anymore right? . . . You will be okay some-a-day Maria, but you only have yourself to blame. I mean look at this radiant beauty we have here. Melina is beautiful, she is not a bimbo and only good for one a-thing like you Maria. Melina is how you say a real woman. In fact, how would you like-a to escort me to the ring for my match tonight?

Melina: I’d love to

Santino Marella: See Maria, Melina is a real woman. . . Now why don’t you run along and check your hair. . . Haha, let’s go Melina

***HEAT***

Maria looks really upset as Santino & Melina laugh as they walk down the hall

***CUT TO THE ARENA***

“Cool” hits & Carlito makes his way down to the ring alongside his brother Eduardo with big smiles on both their faces

***HEAT***

As he gets into the ring, Carlito walks over to the far side and asks for a microphone

Carlito: Tonight you are going to see Carlito finish the job me and my brother Eddie started last week on Cody Rhodes. . . What the hell is wrong with dat guy? He should know by now dat you don’t mess with The Colon brothers. . . And y’know Cody, you can even bring dat skank of yours if ya want her to see me beat the crap out of ya like last week and the week before dat. . . Y’know what they say Cody? . . . Third time not lucky for you. . . Now dat’s cool

Cody Rhodes’ music hits as makes his way into the arena with a fierce look on his face, running down to the ring and sliding inside

***POP***

***MATCH #1***

Cody Rhodes
vs. Carlito w/Eduardo

ENDING:
Carlito walks across to Cody and throws a right hand at him, but it’s blocked by Cody, who then hits him with a couple of rights of his own, putting Carlito on the back foot. Cody then grabs Carlito by the head with his left hand and then nails him with a BIONIC ELBOW. . . . . Carlito drops to the mat, but Cody doesn’t look for the cover, instead reaching down and dragging Carlito up into position for a DDT, but Cody wastes a second, allowing Carlito the time he needs to escape and slip behind. He then spins Cody round and tries for a whips into the ropes, but it’s reversed by Cody, and as Carlito comes back, he surprises Cody with a running knee lift to the side of the head. He then runs through off the ropes, comes back and nails Cody with a clothesline across the back. Carlito smiles as he looks to have the match in control, then taunts Cody as he picks himself back up. With Cody almost back on his feet, Carlito turns round and runs into the ropes, turns round and goes for the SPRINGBOARD BACK ELBOW. . . . .

But as he falls back, Cody counters with a STANDING DROPKICK RIGHT TO THE BACK OF CARLITO. . . . . The crowd cheer loudly for Cody as both men drop down to the mat. Eduardo is angry on the outside and walks round to the timekeeper’s table, then grabs a steel chair. He then walks over to the apron and slides into the ring, and at the same time, Kelly Kelly comes running down the ramp, looking worried. Both Cody and Carlito then stand back up and turn round as Eduardo then walks over and swings the chair at Cody, but Cody ducks it with Carlito right behind him. Just as the chair is about to hit Carlito, Eduardo is able to stop himself from hitting his brother, but Cody slips behind Carlito and pushes him in the back, pushing him into Eduardo, knocking Eddie down to the mat. With Carlito groggy after banging heads with his brother, Cody kneels down and rolls Carlito back in a roll up as the ref counts 1 . . . . . 2 . . . . . 3.

AFTERMATH: Cody’s music comes through the speakers as he holds the chair in his hand, seeming to prepare himself for a possible retaliation. Carlito stands back up and thinks about it, but then slips under the bottom rope before pulling Eduardo out too and walking up the ramp. Kelly looks relieved as she then climbs in the ring at the side of Cody and puts one arm around his shoulder. He turns round a little surprised, reluctantly taking his eyes off The Colon Brothers. He keeps hold of the chair as Kelly then kisses him on the cheek and strokes his arm with Carlito and Eddie looking back angrily at them

***COMMERCIAL BREAK***

Mr. Kennedy and Elijah Burke are stood up in their locker room with Layla

***HEAT***

Mr Kennedy:
Last week, we were unstoppable, beating the World tag Team Champions to rightly earn our place in the Royal Rumble match. You could even say we breezed it, as a couple of guys like us should. We’re two of the biggest up and coming stars in this freakin company, and we’re gonna prove that tonight when we breeze through our opponents yet again Elijah my man. . . And like we had each others back last week, we’ll do the same tonight and then this Sunday in the biggest match in the history of professional wrestling, the Royal Rumble when the inevitable strikes and I, the fast rising superstar in the WWE. . .Mr. Kennedy become the number one contender for Wrestlemania baby

***HEAT***

Burke looks a little angry

Elijah Burke: Woah, wait just. . .

CM Punk then walks in the room with Jeff Hardy’s Intercontinental Championship around his waist, and stands right up beside them

***LOTS OF HEAT***

CM Punk:
You probably know why I’m here guys. . . we need to talk strategy for tonight

Mr Kennedy: What do you think we were just doin?

CM Punk: Well Ken, that’s all well and good, but if anyone here knows how to beat these three guys tonight, it’s me. Just ask Burkey boy here, he’ll tell you how I owned his ass last year and beat him in a record number of matches. And since I’ve got Jeff Hardy’s number Ken, something I see you couldn’t do as well as the fact I’m the only former World Champion here, I have the know how and the experience that we need to pull through tonight

Burke & Kennedy look at each other, looking a little pissed

Mr Kennedy: I’ll tell you what else you have apart from the damn ignorance to walk in here and talk to Mr. Kennedy like that. I don’t care who the hell you think you are, and judging by the fact you’ve got someone else’s belt around your waist, you’re not just an ass, but you’re a thief too

CM Punk: It’s just what we call a formality, no need to work yourself up about it, considering it has nothing to do with you anyway. But if you wanna bring that up, it’s fine. This title will be mine Sunday night, that’s if Jeff doesn’t come to his senses quick and realise it’s best for him not to turn up at the Royal Rumble

Mr Kennedy: It seems to me like you’ve got a little fantasy world going on there Punk as well as carrying someone else’s title, but then again it’s better than carrying some bingo hall title that means jack. . . You wanna talk to me about being a former World Champion, get real. That was ECW, it means nothing. This is Raw, in fact it’s Raw is KENNEDYYYYYY

***HEAT***

CM Punk:
Who’s living in a fantasy world now huh? The last time I checked, Chris Jericho owned your ass at Saturday Night’s Main Event

***POP***

Mr Kennedy:
You wanna go there huh? Let’s go there shall we?

Kennedy gets right in Punk’s face, only for Burke to get right in between them

Elijah Burke: SHUT UP THE BOTH OF YA. Get your heads in the game or we’re going down tonight. . . Between us, we can wipe the floor with those jerks we gotta face later on, so just pipe down and stop acting like asses alright, since we all know who the real leader of this team is right baby

Burke turns straight to Layla and backs off from Punk & Kennedy

Layla: Right baby

CM Punk: If that’s the way you want it, fine. I’ll just see you out there and we’ll see who’s who around here

Punk turns around and leaves the room with Kennedy looking absolutely furious

As Jillian comes back, she takes a swipe at Victoria’s head, snapping Victoria’s head and neck back up. Jillian then stops and pauses for a second before turning back into the ropes. She comes back at Victoria, but she reacts quickly, takes a step back and nails Jillian with a SAVOTE KICK. . . . . Another huge cheer comes from the crowd as she then reaches over and hooks both of Jillian’s legs for a cover 1 . . . . . 2 . . . . . Jillian just kicks out, but Victoria gets straight back on the case.

She stands back up in front of Jillian, then does a freaky shake before flipping back for a STANDING MOONSAULT. . . . . Jillian though gets her knees up and Victoria drops to her knees clutching her stomach. As both divas then slowly make their way back up to their feet, Jillian grabs Victoria by the arm and tries for an irish whip, but Victoria reverses the whip, but twists Jillian’s arm and whips her right back into her. She stomps her hard in the gut and then places Jillian’s head between her legs. She then lifts her up and plants her with the WIDOW’S PEAK. . . . . The crowd cheer as Victoria then turns round on the mat, turns Jillian onto her back and goes for a cover 1 . . . . . 2 . . . . . 3.

AFTERMATH: “Lady to Mess With” hits as Victoria stands back up and walks to the ropes in front of the announce table as she looks intensely at Beth Phoenix, who looks a little intimidated. ***BIG POP***

There’s a big pop coming from the arena as an intense looking Jeff & Sunny walk into the shot

Todd Grisham:
Jeff, you’re just six nights away from finally getting the chance you’ve waited for for so long now when you defend the Intercontinental title against CM Punk at the Royal Rumble. . .

***POP***

Todd Grisham:
. . . What’s going through your mind as you prepare for that match this Sunday?

Jeff Hardy: Todd, you know I’m an easy going guy, not much bothers me. . . But ever since CM Punk got on my back, he’s pushed me way too far. He’s pushed me way further than anyone else ever has. . . but it’s not a bad thing for me Todd. . . it’s a bad thing for Punk. . . He thinks he’s got our match wrapped up and he’s even taken my belt away from me he’s that confident. But let me make myself clear Todd, I am more than a match for Punk. You’ve pushed more boundaries than you should have with me. . . This Sunday, you’re gonna find out what makes Jeff Hardy so extreme, and then I will get my hands back on my title when I’m done beating you Punk. And, I’m gonna enjoy beating you more than I’ve ever enjoyed beating anyone my entire career

***POP***

Sunny is then passed the microphone by Jeff

Sunny: Punk, you know I’m a firm believer in the saying what goes around comes around. . . You’ve not only got to Jeff, but you’ve got to me too, and everything you’ve said about me hasn’t been forgotten. . . I’ve been called a lot of things in my life Punk, but I know that this time, you’re going to pay and get what’s coming to you. . . and I’m going to enjoy every last second of it

Jeff & Sunny look into the camera, still intense for a couple of seconds before walking out of the shot

Vince McMahon walks down the hall with a big smile on his face as he walks past officials, smiling at them

***MAJOR HEAT***

He walks up to a table where there is a coffee machine. The camera moves side on as he pours himself a cup, then turns round with a shocked look on his face. . .

Triple H & Stephanie McMahon-Helmsley are right there, Vince doesn’t know what to do, looking worried

***BIG POP***

Vince McMahon: Don’t you dare put your hands on me. You don’t want a repeat of last week when my sons beat the crap out of you

Stephanie McMahon-Helmsley: Actually dad, we kind of do want a repeat of last week. . . We couldn’t help but catch what you said earlier on with the match you made tonight. But since I have a little say of what goes on around here, I thought I’d slightly adjust that match

Vince McMahon: What are you talking about?

Stephanie McMahon-Helmsley: See dad, as much as I’m sure you’d love to see John Cena get beaten up by your loyal children tonight, I can’t let that happen. . . In the grand scale of things dad, I thought we would give these fans a real main event to remember going into the Royal Rumble. And since John Cena is facing Randy Orton at the Rumble, I thought we’d put Randy in the same team as Shane and JBL

Vince McMahon: Let me get this right, you’re making it a three on one handicap match

Stephanie McMahon-Helmsley: Dad, you know me better than that. We’re not going to have a handicap match, and it’s not going to be no disqualification either. . . See John Cena will have two partners tonight. . . two guys who don’t particularly like you

Triple H: Don’t like Vince. . . come on Steph, you sure?!

Stephanie McMahon-Helmsley: He’s funny isn’t he dad? . . . Seriously though, we’ll find just how tough your boys are tonight when they take on John Cena. . . Bobby Lashley. . . and of course, your favourite son-in-law and my beloved husband. . . Triple H

***BIG POP***

Vince McMahon:
YOU CAN’T DO THAT

Stephanie McMahon-Helmsley: I can say it again if you like dad, but it’s not going to change anything

Vince McMahon: You really are a bitch like your mother aren’t you Steph?

Steph smiles as she and Triple H turn round, but The Game turns back round straight away

Triple H: By the way Vince, I need you to send your boys a message for me. . . Tonight, The Game is coming to play

***BIG POP***

Triple H laughs at Vince before turning back round and walking up the hall with Steph while the zooms in on a very unhappy Mr. McMahon

Tommy Dreamer
vs. Santino Marella w/Melina

ENDING:
Santino and Dreamer both stand back up and Dreamer throws a right which Santino is able to duck. Marella then kicks Dreamer in the gut and feeds his leg in there, and as he goes for an enziguri, Dreamer ducks his head and lets go of Santino’s leg as he then drops to the mat. Santino gets to his knees, and Dreamer then pulls him up from behind, puts his head under his arm before sending him crashing down to the mat with a REVERSE DDT. . . . . A big pop rings out as Dreamer then reaches over to lift Santino’s leg as he goes for a cover 1 . . . . . 2 . . . . . Santino just kicks out, leaving Melina relieved on the outside as she claps and shouts encouragement towards Santino. Dreamer looks a little devastated before standing back up, reaching down and pulling Marella back up to his feet. He whips the Italian superstar to the corner and then takes a second before running in, but he runs into a lifted boot from Santino.

Dreamer is knocked back by the boot as Santino then pulls himself up to the second rope and then leaps off, hitting Dreamer in the face with a FLYING SUPER KICK. . . . . Santino scurries across Dreamer hits the mat and tries to get a cover 1 . . . . . 2 . . . . . NO! . . . . . Santino can’t believe Dreamer kicked out of that one and has a real go at the referee, standing up and getting right in his face. Dreamer gets up behind Santino, and as Santino turns round, Dreamer stomps him in the gut and then gets him in position for the DREAMER DDT. . . . . A big pop hits again, but Santino reaches out and grabs the referee’s arm, then pushes him to the side slightly. It gives Marella just enough time to drop to his knees and low blow Dreamer while the ref can’t see with his back turned. As the ref turns back round and warns him, Santino takes advantage of Dreamer, pulling him up from his knees and planting him with a ROLLING CUTTER. . . . . The Italian Sensation then turns over and hooks both legs 1 . . . . . 2 . . . . . 3.

Jeff Hardy w/Sunny, Chris Jericho & Rey Mysterio
vs. CM Punk, Mr. Kennedy & Elijah Burke w/Layla

ENDING:
Burke pulls Rey up after getting a two count from the spinning sit down spinebuster. Burke is pissed and whips Rey hard into the corner, then pulls his kneepads down to his ankles before charging at Rey for the ELIJAH EXPRESS. . . . . Rey though runs out of the corner and then back towards the ropes as Burke reaches out and grabs hold of the top rope in time to stop himself crashing and burning. He then turns round out a still groggy Rey and runs at him, but Rey drops toe holds him onto the middle rope. The crowd get to their feet as Rey dials up, then turns round and runs the ropes, comes back and connects with the 619. . . . . A huge pop breaks out from the crowd as Rey stands on the apron with Burke picking himself slowly from his knees as Rey then springboards and connects with the WEST COAST POP. . . . . 1 . . . . . 2 . . . . . Kennedy breaks it up with a hard kick to the back of Rey’s head. Kennedy smiles but is caught short as Jericho runs in the ring and takes him down with a spinning wheel kick. The momentum takes Kennedy under the bottom rope as Burke and Rey remain on the mat as Kennedy then picks himself up on the apron. Jericho then runs into the corner and knocks Kennedy off the apron with a SPRINGBOARD DROPKICK. . . . . Another big pop comes from the crowd, only for CM Punk to charge into the ring as he then tosses Jericho over the top rope. He then turns back to lift Rey up and lifts him onto his shoulders for the GTS. . . . .

Jeff charges in as the referee loses all control. Jeff pulls Rey down off Punk’s shoulders, with Rey falling back to the mat as Jeff throws wild rights at Punk, knocking him back into the ropes, then Jeff clotheslines him over the top to the outside. Punk though lands on his feet and is met by a push to the chest from Jericho. Punk grins before taking Jericho out with a vicious stiff kick to the face. But as Punk turns back round on the outside, Jeff has hold off the top rope and springboards for a SLINGSHOT CROSS BODY. . . . . At the same time, Rey and Burke are back up as Jeff misses Punk and hits the mat. Punk drops to his knees and talks smack in Jeff’s ear as Rey ducks a Burke right and drop toe holds him onto the second rope. The crowd are amazed by everything that is going as Rey dials up before connecting with the 619 once again. He stands on the apron and waits as Burke staggers back up to his feet, then springboards for the WEST COAST POP. . . . . But Layla climbs up onto the apron and grabs Rey’s foot, who just drops to the mat face first. The crowd boo like crazy as the referee tells Layla to get down which he does. Burke then reaches down and drags Rey up to his feet before planting him with the ELIJAH EXPERIENCE. . . . . He rushes down and goes for the cover 1 . . . . . 2 . . . . . 3.

AFTERMATH: Burke’s music hits as he stands back up with a big smile on his face and Layla climbs in the ring to kiss, and then hug him as they look down and laugh at Rey. Jericho & Kennedy remain out of it on the outside as Punk grabs the Intercontinental Championship from ringside and then storms back up the ramp. Just as Punk gets to the ramp, Jeff comes round with Sunny knelt down by him and sees Punk leaving. Jeff then rushes back to his feet and runs after Punk as he gets towards the top of the ramp. Jeff then clubs the unsuspecting Punk across the back, forcing Punk to drop the title belt. The crowd cheer as Jeff starts to pummel Punk with right hands, at the top of the stage and as they brawl, knocks Punk towards the edge of the stage. Punk though, then kicks Jeff in the groin and lifts him onto his shoulders. Jeff fights it and is able to slip down the back of Punk’s shoulders.

As Punk then turns round close to the edge of the stage with Jeff even closer, who then lifts Punk over his head with a back body drop and off the stage. Punk lands hard in a long, but obviously soft planted box with more lying around. Jeff looks down with a crazy look in his eyes while the crowd goes nuts. Jeff then turns to look into the crowd, letting them know something heavy is coming as he then leaps off for a swanton on top of Punk. Huge cheers ring around the arena! Sunny looks on in shock from the bottom of the ramp before she runs up to the top and picks up Jeff’s belt. She looks down at them both before turning round and screaming for help from the back. EMT’s run halfway down the ramp and jump down to turn back to go and check on Jeff & Punk. Sunny looks down in distress as she holds the title belt close to her chest while the EMT’s continue to check over Punk & Jeff.

Kelly Kelly: Cody. . . I do want to stay out of their way, it’s just. . . well, I can’t keep away from you

***POP***

Cody looks a little confused

Kelly Kelly: I felt really bad about what happened last week. It felt like it was my fault you getting attacked like that and I didn’t want them to hurt you again tonight. You helped me a couple of weeks ago and I really appreciate you doing that. You’re such a nice guy Cody, there’s not a lot of guys like you

Cody Rhodes: Don’t worry about it Kelly, there’s, anybody would do the same

Kelly Kelly: They wouldn’t though Cody, that's why i'm here. . . And when I said I appreciate it, I mean I really appreciate it

Kelly looks deeps in to Cody’s eyes as she moves closer to him. Cody gets the hint and drops his travel bag, then kisses her, no holding back this time as they go for it

Jordan is quick to cover him, hooking both legs as the ref counts 1 . . . . . 2 . . . . . Killings gets his shoulder up, leaving Jordan frustrated. He stands back up, then reaches down and pulls Killings back up. He then hits him with three consecutive soft left handed jabs to the jaw, knocking Killings off balance, and then swings a hard right hand, but Killings ducks it. Killings then is quick to react, pulling Jordan into position and planting him with a DRAGON SUPLEX. . . . . Killings looks to wrap it up with the cover 1 . . . . . 2 . . . . . Jordan lifts his shoulder up to the slight surprise of Killings. Both men pick themselves back up slowly, and it’s Killings who gets the initiative by hitting Jordan with three hard right hands, knocking him off balance. Jordan looks a little groggy as he walks towards Killings, who goes for a SUPER KICK. . . . . Jordan though is able to duck it and pull Killings into position for a REVERSE STO. . . . . Jordan takes too much time though, allowing Killings to slip out of the grip and behind OJ. He grabs him around the waist and tosses him back with a RELEASE GERMAN SUPLEX. . . . . Jordan looks real dazed as he slowly gets back up to his knees, with Killings moving across the mat and pulling Jordan’s head under his arm. He then lifts him up into the air for a suplex, but instead of falling back to the mat, Killings lets go of Jordan, bringing him down into a CUTTER. . . . . THE TRUTH OR CONSEQUENCES. . . . . A huge pop meets that one, the crowd enjoyed that as Killings then turns a flat out Jordan onto his back and goes for the cover 1 . . . . . 2 . . . . . 3.

JBL & Shane McMahon are in their office with their ring gear on when Randy Orton walks in

***MAJOR HEAT***

JBL:
Randy, about the match tonight. . .

Randy Orton: John, John, I’m fine with it. I’m happy that Stephanie stuck her nose in my business and gave me the chance to wear down John Cena tonight. And after what you guys did to Triple H last week. . . that was very impressive by the way, and with my brief history of hurting Cena, we will be victorious tonight

***HEAT***

Randy Orton:
You know what I did to Cena four months ago, and I’m making it my mission to do that tonight to make sure Cena doesn’t get too disappointed at the Royal Rumble this Sunday where he knows, if he gets in the ring with me, I will end his career

***HEAT***

Randy Orton:
But that’s what I came to talk to you about. All this success we’ve had recently, we need to forget all about it and put it to the back of our minds tonight. The Royal Rumble is too important for all of us. I’ve got my title match with Cena, and one of you guys is potentially the next contender to my title. With that in mind, we need to make sure we keep together tonight, put the performance of our lives in to see Cena and Triple H suffer like they should

JBL: Randy, I know exactly what you mean. Being the businessman and the true wrestling god that I am, I do not know the meaning of the word stroll. I see each match like every other, and tonight is no different. Shane and I know the importance of staying focused and making Triple H suffer like he deserves. . . After what he did to our father, we will not rest until he well and truly gets what he has coming to him. . . Last week he was knocked from coast to coast, and tonight he will meet the clothesline from hell

***HEAT***

JBL:
And if there is any justice in the world, he too will not make it to the Royal Rumble this Sunday, it will be one of us, the children of the most successful businessman walking the planet who walks out of the glorious state of New York with an all expenses paid trip to Wrestlemania and a shot at the WWE Championship

***HEAT***

JBL:
But Randy, that’s not important tonight. The only thing that matters tonight is taking care of what our sister has put in front of us, and being the men as well as the athletes that we all are, we will do just that

Shane McMahon: Randy, don’t worry about us, we’ve got it covered. You go get ready, do whatever you gotta do and we’ll see you out there champ

The camera follows Orton after he nods approvingly and then walks out of the door, but from the other direction, Vince McMahon walks in, looking very agitated

***HEAT***

Shane McMahon:
What’s wrong dad?

Vince McMahon: I just got a phone call from your mother. . . She said she’s coming to the Royal Rumble this Sunday and she has something to tell us. . . all of us

Shane McMahon: Did she say what dad?

Vince looks straight past Shane and JBL

Vince McMahon: No, but it didn’t sound good

JBL smiles

JBL: Come on dad, what can she possibly have to say that’s going to effect us? . . . Come on, let’s go take care of business and then we’ll all go get the best meal money can buy, my treat. . . We’ll have to get the jet on stand by though, we all know they don’t serve quality food in Minneapolis

***HEAT***

Vince McMahon:
Okay

Vince looks worried and then follows as JBL and Shane walk out of the door

JR & The King run down the Royal Rumble card

JR: From Smackdown, we will witness what could possibly be one of the more chaotic title matches in recent memory when both Batista and “The Rated R Superstar” Edge challenge Shawn Michaels for the World Heavyweight Championship in a triple threat match

The King: And if you saw what went down in Canada last Friday night JR, there’s going to be a lot more to come before we even get to the Rumble this Sunday

JR: But that won’t be the only title match we’re going to see from our friends on Friday night, as the up and coming superstar Kenny Dykstra puts both his big mouth and the Cruiserweight Championship on the line against Chavo Guerrero

The King: JR, Kenny Dykstra and his big mouth have been running riot on Smackdown ever since he won the Cruiserweight title, but he may have fired up the wrong person in Chavo Guerrero this time

JR: And from our side of the bridge, we have one of the most highly anticipated match ups that I can remember when the two fierce rivals, Jeff Hardy and CM Punk finally meet one on one in the middle of the ring for the Intercontinental Championship

The King: JR, this match is going to have everything. . . We saw earlier on how much Jeff wants to get back at Punk for every disrespectful comment Punk has made about him, but Punk is so determined to make a statement at Jeff’s expense. I just can’t wait to see these two go at it

JR: Well you’re not on your own there King, but this is one match that could rival even the Hardy/Punk match when John Cena makes his long awaited return to pay-per-view since Randy Orton put him on the shelf all those months ago. . . Not only will Cena be getting a rematch for the WWE Championship, it will be a TLC Match, a match Randy Orton has never competed in

The King: That’s true JR, but Orton had never competed in a Casket Match before he beat The Undertaker. . . Randy Orton is so determined JR, I don’t think he will let anyone get in his way of keeping the WWE Championship around his waist

JR: That might well be the case King, but it doesn’t mean that he will be able to overcome the challenge of John Cena. . . But this is what it all comes down to. . . . the Royal Rumble match. . . 30 men will compete for just one spot at the big time at Wrestlemania in the most important match in the history of sports entertainment

The King: And with the competition we have in this year’s Royal Rumble, it’s so difficult to even think about picking a winner. . . You’ve got Triple H, JBL, The Undertaker, Umaga, Chris Jericho, Mr. Kennedy, Ric Flair, MVP, Bobby Lashley, CM Punk, Jeff Hardy, Rey Mysterio and even more

JR: It certainly will be one of the most highly contested Royal Rumble matches this Sunday night in Madison Square Garden

Triple H w/Stephanie McMahon-Helmsley, John Cena & Bobby Lashley
vs. Randy Orton, JBL & Shane McMahon w/Vince McMahon

ENDING:
Orton looks flushed with concentration as he pulls Triple H back up to his feet and tries to whip him into the ropes, but The Game reverses it and is able to whip the WWE Champion instead. And as Orton comes back off the ropes, Triple H connects with a high knee lift. The crowd cheer that one as The Game follows up by walking back into the ropes, then back, jumping up and hitting a knee drop down onto The Legend Killer. Instead of trying a pointless cover, Trips reaches down and lifts Orton back up to a vertical base, then whips him into the ropes. As Orton comes back, he looks in trouble as The Game steps forward and then plants him with a DOUBLE A SPINEBUSTER. . . . . The crowd cheer like crazy as Trips looks to be in be complete control and goes for the cover with JBL & Shane looking on nervously from the apron as Mike Chioda counts 1 . . . . . 2 . . . . . NO! . . . . .

The WWE Champion isn’t backing down, but he might be in trouble now as The Game stands back up and seems to be stalking him for the PEDIGREE. . . . . JBL then senses danger as he decides to step through the ropes and walks over to Trips, who turns round at the right time as they get right in each others face. Chioda then gets right between them before anything can happen as Orton starts to get to his knees. JBL is told to get back on the apron, which he reluctantly does, but Triple H doesn’t take his eyes off JBL, unaware that Orton is now back on his feet and pulls Trips’ head under his arm and plants him with the OVERDRIVE. . . . . Orton reaches his arm across Triple H’s chest as Chioda counts the fall 1 . . . . . 2 . . . . . The crowd cheer as Trips gets his shoulder up. Orton still looks a little worse for wear as he slowly gets back to his feet after crawling to the corner where he stalks him for the PUNT. . . . .

Just as it seems he is going to charge at The Game, Orton turns round and runs at Cena instead, knocking him off the apron by driving his knee into the chest of his challenger Sunday night. Orton then turns back round and sees Trips on his knees. He walks over and goes for the RKO as Trips stands up, but The Game pushes Orton back into the ropes next to Shane and JBL. Shane makes a blind tag, but Chioda looks of unsure who made the tag as Shane is about to enter the ring with Orton going back into The Game and hitting him with a forearm to the face. With The Game off balance, JBL then enters the ring and charges at Triple H, taking his head off with the CLOTHESLINE FROM HELL. . . . . Chioda then has to deal with Lashley as he steps through the ropes, looking angry as Chioda then tries to get him out of the ring. Lashley then pushes Chioda gently to the side and runs at JBL, taking him down with a SPEAR. . . . . Lashley walks back to his corner while JBL is rolls under the bottom rope to the outside where Vince checks on him. With Orton back on the apron too, Cena walks up behind him, shocking Orton as he is pulled down to the floor and Shane steps through the ropes and goes to cover Triple H.

He tells Chioda it was him who made the tag before the count starts 1 . . . . . 2 . . . . . Trips gets the shoulder up as Cena and Orton pummel each other on the outside by the announce table. It’s Cena though who gets the momentum and is able to grab Orton’s head and smashes it down onto the announce table twice. He then decides to strip it, scaring off JR & The King as they stand up and step away. Back in the ring, Shane pulls Trips to the corner, sitting him up against the bottom rope. He then walks over to the adjacent corner and climbs to the top rope, with Steph desperately trying to get her husband to come round in the corner. As Shane climbs to the top rope, he watches on in shock as Cena lifts Orton onto his shoulders and FU’s him through the announce table, getting a huge pop from the crowd. He stares down at Orton for several seconds as Shane then looks to hit the COAST TO COAST. . . . . Triple H though stands up and stomps Shane in the gut before he can get anywhere near the corner as he jumps through the air. The Game grabs Shane's head and places it between his legs and then plants him with the PEDIGREE. . . . . The crowd go wild as Trips then turns Shane over and covers him 1 . . . . . 2 . . . . . 3.

AFTERMATH: “The Game” blasts out as Vince looks on in shock from the outside while Stephanie claps and then climbs in the ring. She stares down at Vince while Cena gets in ring and gets arm raised with Lashley too. Trips points to the Mania sign that is hanging from the ceiling with Vince looking nervous while Cena walks back to the ropes and stares down at Orton to end show

Hey Nige, here's a few comments on RAW:

-I liked the promos for the show. You're getting good at characterisation (for some reason I LOL'd at Kofi Kingston's backstage segment).

-I'm not sure what to make of the Jeff/Sunny relationship. I just think that Jeff doesn't need Sunny. The only way that I think this relationship could help the Jeff/Punk feud develop further is if Sunny turned on Jeff and aligned with Punk.

-The Cody/Kelly storyline is developing nicely, and after what we saw on RAW, I think Kelly may be turning heel by revealing an alliance with the Colon brothers. I'm guessing we'll be seeing Kofi/Cody vs. the Colon brothers next week on RAW.

-I love how you keep referring to JBL, Vince and Shane as "The McMahon boys". This is another feud that is turning out well, and I'm guessing that Shane and JBL will eliminate Triple H at the Rumble. Although it could be the other way round.

Overall it was an enjoyable show to read. My only point of advice would be that you could've done more to hype the Royal Rumble event. It's one thing to continue feuds, and another to actually hype the theme of the event by using different devices e.g. having some sort of Over The Top Rope challenge on RAW, etc.

I'll be posting my Royal Rumble predictions when you post the final card.

^^^I got a lot of my shows done during my two week break a while back. I used that gap to perfection, but Smackdown that will be posted soon was only finished a couple of days ago, took me nearly three weeks with the limited time i've had available!^^^

I love it when people always assume turns are on the cards for almost every angle and read too much into things. I agree with the Jeff/Sunny relationship and it has been one of the situations that i have been thinking over a lot, changing my mind, but i know now firmly what i want to do

As for Cody and Kelly, i'm not going to give you a straight answer to completely spoil the situation, but what i will say is that i feel the two are what i would describe as a sweet, young couple who look right together. In turn it gives Cody more attention and the potential to develop a lot further than he could on his own, which is the whole point of the angle, as well as developing Eddie Colon too as a heel alongside Carlito. Like you say it's something different, and that's what i try to do consistently

Agreed! Storyline wise it continued normally as to build up Raw's two matches on the Rumble card, as well as the Triple H/McMahon feud. Smackdown will be completely different and i may have gone a little overboard with one aspect of the show, but it is definitely geared towards the Rumble match and of course, the World Championship match
