World Wrestling Entertainment Presents:
No Way Out Preview!
Sunday February 8th 2009
MGM Grand Garden Arena
Las Vegas, Nevada

Three weeks ago at the Royal Rumble, then five nights later on Smackdown, matches between John Cena & CM Punk were both meant to be their 'final encounter' for the World Heavyweight Championship. The same now goes for their match scheduled for tomorrow night in Las Vegas when CM Punk defends his world title against Cena inside a steel cage, as ordered by Mr. McMahon after Punk gave his daughter Stephanie the GTS two weeks ago. All three matches between these two for the world title have ended in controversy and the returning Chairman of the Board has ensured that we will finally discover who deserves to be World Champion by surrounding the ring with the unforgiving steel. It's fair to say that Punk isn't happy that he has to defend the title against Cena again, still believing it's an agenda to make Cena champion instead, somewhat proved by Stephanie's actions at Night of Champions in a quick count that saw Cena crowned new World Heavyweight Champion. Cena however didn't want any part of it and forfeited the title on Smackdown several days later, leading to the supposed final encounter at the Rumble three weeks ago.

The Straight-Edge Superstar wasn't about to stand by and see himself screwed out of the title, so he recruited a long time acquaintance in Homicide to help him get the job done. The then General Manager of Smackdown, Tazz tried to even it up but instead hit Cena by mistake with a steel chair when aiming for Punk who was goading into hitting him. Stephanie was furious and Tazz subsequently quit due to her constant interference, and Punk was about to eliminate Stephanie when Homicide again was a factor in his rematch with Cena two weeks back. After the match he & Stephanie again had words, leading to the GTS that has seen Stephanie stay away from Smackdown ever since. It did however bring the shock return of her father Mr. McMahon who returned with a vengeance, making this huge cage match to settle once & for all who should be World Heavyweight Champion. He's sworn he won't be a factor in the outcome as Stephanie was and is happy for Punk to be champion if he can beat Cena.

Is Vince being truthful? If so, who will come out on top between Cena & Punk in their final encounter and head into Wrestlemania as the defending World Champion?

We're still buzzing from the amazing Royal Rumble match from three weeks ago where for the first time ever the WWE Championship was defended. The odds clearly implied a new champion would be crowned and there was in 'The Heartbreak Kid' Shawn Michaels. The Showstopper lasted the entire match to win his third Rumble, taking the WWE title from his long time friend, Triple H. The Game was forced into defending his title from the number one spot, and he wasn't able to go the entire way like the new WWE Champion despite going a long way. He became the 27th elimination when Randy Orton made sure it wouldn't be the most impressive title defence in history. The King got even, distracting Orton, leading to his elimination by Michaels. It came down to Michaels & The Undertaker, and both Orton & Taker will be out to fight for another opportunity for a shot at the WWE title along with Chris Jericho & Triple H in this fatal four-way elimination match.

Two weeks ago on Raw both Taker & Jericho booked their spots in the number one contender match but Orton & Triple H fought to a no contest after an RKO through the announce table on The Game. It left Eric Bischoff with a difficult decision to make as to who would fill the final spot in what was supposed to be a triple threat match, but the WWE Champion himself almost pleaded with Bischoff to give both Orton & Triple H the chance too. Bischoff listened to the champion and didn't stop there, making Mr. Wrestlemania the special guest referee, meaning the fate of all four potential challengers lies in the hands of the man they're all looking to meet at Wrestlemania for the richest prize in the industry. It's fair to say that there's tension between Michaels and both Triple H & Jericho, and Orton's still hell bent it would seem on getting even with The Game for putting him on the shelf for a couple of months at Survivor Series. With four former WWE Champions going at it where only one can survive with the current champion in charge, it sure is one match that you sure won't want to miss.

Who will be the last man standing in Vegas? Who will be the one to go on to Wrestlemania and challenge Mr. Wrestlemania on the stage he excels at?

Ever since debuting on Raw last summer, 'The Celtic Warrior' Sheamus has been mighty impressive, quickly becoming the Intercontinental Champion in September. He's only suffered pinfall defeats at the hands of The Undertaker & Kofi Kingston, but he made up for the surprise defeat to Kofi by defeating him to retain his title at Night of Champions. He has however let his frustration get the better of him in the last three weeks after Rey Mysterio eliminated him in the Royal Rumble match to deny the Irishman's goal of replicating The Ultimate Warrior's feat of holding both the WWE & Intercontinental titles at the same time. Sheamus's response was to drag Rey out of the match and beat the hell out of him, ensuring Rey couldn't continue in the Rumble. He wasn't done there though.

24 hours later on Raw he attacked Rey once more as he & Mystico were defending their World Tag Team titles against The Epitome of Excellence in a match that had no disqualifications after the controversy in their previous title match at Night of Champions. The furious Irishman's attack was so severe that Rey was taken to a local medical facility, suffering cracked ribs, leaving Rey's partner, Mystico absolutely livid. He went about getting his hands on Sheamus two weeks ago but they were separated by officials, leading to the Intercontinental Champion calling him out this past Monday night. What he did get however was Eric Bischoff who informed him that he would have to deal with his actions when he defends his title against Mystico in Las Vegas tomorrow evening. What The Celtic Warrior didn't count on was Mystico appearing out of the crowd to catch him by surprise, realising that he can't afford to let the Mexican get the better of him again when the title is on the line 24 hours from now.

Will Sheamus pay for costing Rey & Mystico their titles by losing his own? There'll be a big crowd hoping so, that's for sure!

Michael Cole & Matt Striker said it best on Friday night that since becoming the first ever Diva's Champion at The Great American Bash last July, Beth Phoenix has looked very comfortable as champion until recently. The arrival of the rather eccentric O.D.B. has brought some chaos to the diva's division and she's definitely got under the skin of The Glamazon. In recent years it's Beth who's intimidated many divas, but now she finds herself up against someone who's not in the least bit afraid or intimidated by her. No one has managed to defeat O.D.B. on Smackdown and The Glamazon will have a mighty task on her hands to do just that when she meets O.D.B. one-on-one for the first time tomorrow night.

Will she be able to inflict the first defeat of O.D.B's Smackdown career or will The Glamazon's comfortable title reign come to an end?

It's going to be the first time we see a TLC match decided by either pinfall or submission which is fitting given the significance & history of Edge & Christian as well as this match. They helped make the now highly anticipated TLC match just that all those years ago when they were record setting tag team champions, but now they're anything but a team. The Canadian siblings are both hell bent on beating each other. Christian has been out to prove he has what it takes to achieve what his older brother has in his absence, fighting his way to world titles & Wrestlemania main events.

Edge however is out to settle the score for losing to Christian at Summerslam and show his brother it was a one-off and he will always be in his shadow. Another defeat to Christian would be unthinkable for The Rated-R Superstar but for Captain Charisma it would put him in serious contention for the world title shot he's dreamed of for so long. With Wrestlemania just around the corner it could be the perfect opportunity to stake a case for a shot at the gold either John Cena or CM Punk will carry into the United Kingdom for the 25th anniversary of the biggest night in sports entertainment.

It was Christian's idea to make the challenge but will it be a decision he regrets or one that will put him on the road to becoming one of the biggest superstars in the company? Whichever way it turns out it's bound to be one hell of a fight and a brutal one with so much at stake.

If there was a Slammy award for the most bitter or jealous superstar at the end of last year, Ted DiBiase will most likely have won it. The award he wanted & felt he deserved was that of 'Breakthrough Star of the Year' which went to Matt Sydal, the United States Champion at the time and the current King of the Ring. Unfortunately for Sydal when their paths crossed at the Royal Rumble, DiBiase's bitterness got the better of him and took it out on Sydal, so much so that he was advised not to defend his title against Dolph Ziggler.

Despite a brave effort he fell short of retaining it, but he wasn't about to let DiBiase get away for his part in losing the title he fought so hard to win & keep. As DiBiase later went on to win the Royal Rumble, the now former United States Champion made his way out to try & get his hands on him. The distraction as DiBiase entered the ring led to Ted being eliminated in a flash by Bob Backlund, something DiBiase hasn't got over ever since. He blames Sydal for costing him the chance to be WWE Champion and with Sydal ready to go once again they'll both be out for some serious revenge, but who will get it?

We all know who the fans voted for to be the Breakthrough Star of 2008, but will Sydal win this match too to further anger DiBiase?

The rivalry between the fellow British groups on Smackdown has grown & grown for months & months, even after Harry Smith's ankle was broken last December at the hands of The Empire. We saw Paul Burchill & Smith's stand-in, TJ Wilson lose the WWE Tag Team titles at Night of Champions to Wade Barrett & Drew McIntyre in dubious circumstances, but The British/Canadian collective got even when they played a part just a few weeks later in The Empire losing them to Paul London & Brian Kendrick. Just this past Friday when both teams were a match away from battling it out for the right to earn another title opportunity, the rivalry went up another notch.

In the first of the semi final matches in the tournament to crown new number one contenders, Barrett & McIntyre fell short against the determined duo of Bobby Lashley & Charlie Haas, much to the amusement of Burchill, Smith, Wilson & Natalya Neidhart when the two groups crossed paths moments later in the back. It was The Empire who were laughing later though when they caused a distraction that saw Burchill & Wilson fall short against the Mexican team of Alberto Del Rio & Chavo Guerrero. Their paths crossed again backstage, leading to Harry letting Barrett know that his ankle is healed and he's cleared for action, something that Mr. McMahon heard & pounced upon, making a match between them for this Sunday. Crucially though, they will be left to battle it out by themselves as everyone else was barred from ringside to make it a fair fight.

Will it be a fair fight? Will it be a welcome return to the ring for Harry Smith or will Barrett inflict the same pain on him he did when they were last in having broken his ankle?

>Prediction Template<

World Heavyweight Championship - Steel Cage Match
John Cena vs. CM Punk (c)
Winner: I've gone back and forth on this, Nige, but I think I've finally made my decision that JOHN CENA will walk out of this match the new World Heavyweight Champion. It's always hard to call a match like this when a big storyline is lurking in the background (Punk/McMahons), but eventually, it came down not to "who will win this match", but, "what is the bigger picture for WrestleMania?" I think you've got a few surprises left on the road to Wembley which is a good thing, but it comes down to this - if Punk loses, he can continue his feud with the McMahons, which I'm guessing is leading to someone stepping up for the McMahons and facing Punk at the big show. But if Cena loses? What does he do at WrestleMania? Punk's been champion for a long time in this thread, and I think it's time for a change. Funnily enough that change isn't going to be with Cena, because I sense where you're going with the world title, which I'll get to in another match prediction in a minute. I strongly predict that the finish to this main event will be somewhat similar to the end of the Money in the Bank PPV in 2011 when Punk won "clean" over Cena, except it wasn't clean, because there were distractions from Vince and John Laurinaitis. The likely outcome will be Vince coming out, without DIRECTLY interfering, and "costing" Punk the world title. Works for both Cena and Punk - Cena can say Punk is bitching and that he won fair and square, whereas Punk will complain that it's all a conspiracy and most likely challenge the McMahons to a hostile takeover match at WrestleMania 25.
Method of Victory: Pinfall
Match Placement: 7/7

Number One Contender Elimination Match for the WWE Championship at WrestleMania XXV
The Undertaker vs. Chris Jericho
vs. Randy Orton vs. Triple H
Winner: Right off the bat I'm eliminating both Chris Jericho and Randy Orton from the running. Jericho just won't win. As for Orton, I feel that if he were to be challenging for the WWE Championship at WrestleMania, you'd not taken the title off of Triple H, and I can't see you doing an Orton vs. Michaels face vs. face feud. It COULD happen, but I don't think so, because I think your other title match will be that. That being said, that leaves Triple H and Undertaker as your two potential challengers to face Michaels at Wembley. To be honest, I feel like either way you book it, we're going to know who's going to win. If you do Triple H vs. Michaels, Michaels retains. Why would Triple H, as a heel, win the title back he just lost at WrestleMania? If you go with Taker vs. Michaels, Taker's obviously winning the title and keeping the streak. So out of those two scenarios, which could both work, I think you're going to go for a crowd-pleasing moment at WrestleMania, so what better for Brits than good ol' TAKER winning the WWE Championship after one hell of a match? As for Triple H, I can see Orton being involved in his elimination, leading to Triple H beating the hell out of Orton on Raw and setting up a grudge match for Mania.
First elimination: Jericho, via pinfall, by Orton (He'll probably aggravate Michaels and be the one to get a Super Kick, and then stumble into an RKO from Orton)
Second elimination: Triple H, again, via pinfall, by Orton
Final elimination: Orton, via pinfall, by Undertaker
Match Placement: 6/7

Intercontinental Championship
Mystico vs. Sheamus (c)
Winner: I can't see SHEAMUS dropping the belt just yet, let alone to Mystico.
Method of Victory: Sheamus via pinfall
Match Placement: 3/7

TLC Match
Christian vs. Edge
Winner: Although you could say that Edge is "owed" the win here because he lost in the match between these two back at SummerSlam, Christian has a much bigger point to prove by winning this match. He's the one who's never won the World title, and I think WrestleMania will be his time. CHRISTIAN to win this match and stake his claim against World Champion Cena at WrestleMania, and do what Edge could never do, beat Cena clean for the belt.
Method of Victory: Christian via pinfall
Match Placement: 4/7

Diva's Championship
Beth Phoenix (c) vs. O.D.B.
Winner: Random guess, to be honest. BETH PHOENIX to retain the gold, but most likely under questionable circumstances.
Method of Victory: Beth Phoenix via pinfall
Match Placement: 2/7

Plus

Matt Sydal vs. Ted DiBiase
Winner: What better way than to kick off No Way Out with MATT SYDAL hitting his patented Shooting Star Press and picking up the victory?
Method of Victory: Sydal via pinfall
Match Placement: 1/7

Harry Smith vs. Wade Barrett
Winner: HARRY SMITH
Method of Victory: Harry Smith, via submission with the Sharpshooter
Match Placement: 5/7

>Bonus Questions<

How many title changes will there be? 1, the World Heavyweight Championship
Will Mr. McMahon screw CM Punk out of the World Heavyweight Championship? Depends who you ask! He won't "screw" Punk out of the title, but his appearance at ringside will distract Punk enough for Cena to win the belt
Will Shawn Michaels super kick anyone as Guest Referee? Yes, Chris Jericho

Looking forward to it Nige!

*Video Promo*
From Night of Champions (December)

Punk escapes again, slipping down Cena’s back and he shoves him right into Tazz, knocking the GM down and rolling towards the apron after clashing heads with Cena. The challenger looks shaky too and Punk looks to take full advantage, spinning him round in a flash, trying to lift him up for the GTS!!!. . . . . Cena doesn’t let him and jumps down to his feet straight away to lift Punk off his feet and onto his shoulders, this time connecting with the F-U!!!. . . . .

It’s crazy loud in the arena with the ref & Tazz still down as Cena goes for the cover anyway, hooking both legs, forgetting there’s no-one there to make the count. A pop breaks out in the crowd as Stephanie McMahon-Helmsley walks down the ramp, surprising Cena as he sits up, and as she enters the ring, she tells him to make the cover. Cena does just that and Stephanie makes her way across to make the count. . . . .

1. . . . .

2. . . . .

. . . . .

NO! Punk gets his shoulder up to a mixed reaction, not going down too well with Stephanie who doesn’t look happy as she stands up. Cena takes it on the chin though and shifts round to Punk’s legs. He tries to turn him over for the STFU but Punk kicks up at him, shoving Cena back and down to the mat. Cena’s up quickly though and goes back to Punk, but the World Champion sits up in a flash and pulls Cena down into a SMALL PACKAGE!! . . . . .

1. . . . .

. . . . .

2. . . . .

. . . . .

Cena kicks out after a slow count and Punk sits up staring angrily at Stephanie who stares back, guilt free as Cena makes his way back up. Punk gets back up too, walking right into an irish whip and he manages to grab onto the top rope. He holds onto them and Cena runs at him, into a raised boot from Punk who steps out to nail him with a THUNDEROUS ROUNDHOUSE KICK!!!. . . . . Cena falls in a heap and Punk goes for the cover, dropping to his knees and hooking both legs as Stephanie takes her time making her away across to make the count. . . . .

1. . . . .

. . . . .

2. . . . .

. . . . .

NO!! Cena gets the shoulder up after another slow count from Stephanie and Punk’s livid, and so are some of the crowd. There are some cheers too as Punk stands up and gets into it with Steph, having a right go at her and he gets a slap to the chops for his troubles as Cena sits up. Punk holds his cheek and nods his head with a smirk on his face. He looks into the crowd with Steph now looking a little uneasy. He turns back and she back tracks away from him as Cena makes it back up.

Steph looks relieved as she looks over Punk’s shoulder, setting off alarm bells for the World Champion who turns round to see Cena running at him and he ducks. Cena just manages to stop before he runs into Steph, but Punk spins him round in a flash to lift him up onto his shoulders and connects with the GTS!!!. . . . . Punk drops to his knees with a smile on his face to make the cover, but Stephanie stands still, refusing to count the fall to a ton of heat with some cheers mixed in. Punk leans back and looks over at her standing there without a care in the world.

The World Champion can’t believe it and stands up, taking his time and walking menacingly towards her. With the crowd going crazy he gets right in her face, having a real go at her and she gives it back, standing her ground as Cena comes round, starting to sit up. Stephanie again tries to slap Punk but he blocks it this time and shakes his head at her, and she realises she might just’ve made a mistake. Punk mouths something to her and lifts her up onto his shoulders, setting her up for the GTS!!!. . . . . You can’t hear yourself think.

It’s deafening in the arena as Punk turns round with Steph up on his shoulders, but Tazz is back on his feet and pulls her down, pissing Punk off no end who scoops Tazz up off his feet and nails him with the GTS!!!. . . . . Punk stares down coldly at the fallen General Manager with contempt, then turns his head to Stephanie who looks very worried. Punk goes to grab her again but Cena spins him round, catching him off guard to lift him up off the mat and send him crashing into the canvas with the F-U!!!. . . . . The crowd are split as Cena goes for the cover in a hurry and Steph darts across to make the count. . . . .

1. 2. 3.

Steph makes an insanely quick count, giving Cena the win and the world title, drawing a ton of heat in the arena. She goes to get the world title as Cena sits up in shock, not sure what to make of what’s just happened. Stephanie, without a shred of remorse walks over to him with the title and holds it out to him, and he reluctantly takes it in his hand and stands up with “My Time is Now” playing.

Steph grabs his arm and lifts it up in the air with Cena still unsure of how to deal with what’s gone on. Steph takes her leave and heads back up the ramp without looking back as Cena looks into the crowd with the world title in hand, clueless how to react as Punk sits up with the ref & Tazz still starting to stir. Punk’s livid as he looks up at Steph walking through the curtain, then turns to Cena who looks almost apologetic as the show comes to a close with Punk absolutely livid.

***

From Smackdown Four Weeks Ago

A seething CM Punk walks out to the stage where a Christmas tree is set up at the side to a largely negative reaction with Punk stopping & staring angrily into the crowd. Dressed in his street clothes he heads down the ramp, giving the fans dirty looks in the process, and as he enters the ring he walks right over to the apron and demands a microphone. He gets one and turns round, walking into the centre of the ring, looking furiously into the fans as his music grinds to a halt.

CM Punk:
I’m not here t’night t’ beat around the bush, I’m just gonna get right t’ the point. . . Stephanie McMahon Helmsley. . . F’ a while now she’s had a problem with how I act around here, how I say things that might not reflect the image this company tries t’ p’tray. Quite frankly I don’t give a rat’s ass what she or anyone else in her family or the board of directors think about my actions. The fact is I speak my mind and if anyone has a problem with that, that’s their deal not mine. Now you can imagine how what I’m about t’ say might just cause some concern for Stephanie an' the image she so cares about given what happened at Night of Champions.

“I’m all grown up now. . .”

To a largely positive reception, Stephanie McMahon-Helmsley walks out into the arena, not showing any signs of being intimidated by the furious Punk as she walks down to the ring, carrying a microphone with her while Punk watches her every step of the way.

CM Punk:
Well look who we have here. Y’know I’m surprised you had the guts t. . .

Stephanie McMahon-Helmsley: If I were you Punk I’d take a look in the mirror and at what you did Sunday night. Not only did you knock out one referee, you put your hands on the general manager, an’ then you put your hands on me, the executive vice-president of this company. You should consider y’self lucky you haven’t been fired, but trust me, I’ll have no problem doing just that if you force my hand. You might think you’re untouchable Punk but trust me you’re not.

CM Punk: The fact is you screwed me out of the title like you've screwed most of the guys in the back. You made that quick count regardless of what happened t’ Tazz an’ the referee. You also slapped me remember. You’re the one in the wrong Steph. You’re the reason the poster boy of the company has my title, an’ conveniently the other world champion on Raw just happens t’ be your husband. Is that a co-incidence or is it just me? All I know is you’re throwing your weight around an’ I’m not going t’ stand for it. You can stand there acting like you’ve done the right thing for the company like your dad did all those years ago, which f’ the record I agree with by the way, but this, this is diff’rent. I’m not walking out of the company t’ join the enemy with your title. You did what you did for a reason, a reason that’s totally b-s an’ you’re not gonna get away with it. Whether you like it or not I’ve got a rematch clause in my contract an’ I will get my title back, an’ if you get in the way again, I’ll make sure this time I do put you t’ sleep.

*Heat, some cheers*

“My Time is Now”

The crowd erupts as John Cena hits the stage. The new World Champion doesn’t look too happy at all despite his victory Sunday night and is barely holding onto his title as he carries it down to the ring with a microphone too, looking almost guilty as Punk stares at him every step of the way into the ring.

John Cena:
Punk, you’ve more than had your say dog. It’s my turn an’ I think you’ll wanna hear what I’ve gotta say.

All three of them look nervously at each other.

John Cena:
I’ve heard all y’have t’ say Punk, not just t’night an’ the point I keep comin’ back to is this. This whole time you’ve said you wan’ed me to earn my shot at the world title. A couple o’weeks ago I did just that, but Sunday night I didn’t earn this (holding up the world title). (Drops the title down again) I came here f’ a new challenge, that challenge being t’ win the world title f’ the first time, an’ as much as I wan’ed t’ get my hands on this, this ain’t the way I wan’ed it.

There’s some more uneasy looks between them.

John Cena:
I bust my ass winning that tournament t’ get that shot, an’ Steph, Punk’s right, you stuck y’nose where it didn’t belong. Whatever you think of Punk, he’s right about somethin’ else too, to us this ain’t about company image, it’s about bein’ the best in this ring, night after night week after week. T’ cut a long story short, (holds the title out) I don’t deserve this. As Punk’s pointed out time after time, you’ve gotta earn the right t’ be called the best an’ I didn’t earn it. Even though I stand here World Champion, I don’t wan’ it this way. It pains me t’ do this, but Steph, I don’t deserve this. As of this moment I’ve gotta forfeit the title.

Tazz, the General Manager of Smackdown is out on the stage and stomps his way down to the ring with all eyes on him.

Tazz:
Look, you don’t need me t’ tell y’what a mess this all is. Whatever happened Sunday we’ve gotta sort this out right now, an’ the way I see it there’s only one way we can do it. . . John, you wanna forfeit the title? I get what you’re sayin’ an' I respect your decision.

Tazz walks towards Cena and takes his title with Steph looking on, still not at all happy.

Tazz:
Let me deal with this. Sunday night was a mess an’ we’ve gotta move on. We need t’ make sure we get a worthy champion, an’ we will in just over three weeks at the Royal Rumble. There ain’t gonna be crap like the other night, we’re gonna make sure there’s a winner. It’s gonna be you two goin’ at it, one fall to a finish in a No Holds Barred match.

*Big Pop*

“13”
plays and all four of them look at each other with plenty of tension inside the ring.

From the Royal Rumble 3 Weeks Ago

The Straight-Edge Superstar looks wrecked as he gets up to his feet, very unsteady as he wearily looks into Cena's eyes, and Cena smirks at him. Punk's confused but not for long as Cena grabs him by the back of the neck and throws him down into the mat on his stomach. Cena jumps right down on him, crossing his legs to lock in the STFU!!!. . . . . Punk's in deep deep trouble with the crowd going crazy, split again as Cena puts Punk through hell. He's got nowhere to go and Cena's almost bursting a blood vessel to make him tap. Punk lifts his right hand up, trying to hold on with the crowd making a ton of noise. Cena holds on tight and Punk's just managing to hold on.

To his credit he keeps going and tries to drag himself towards the ropes, and as hard as he tries to stop him, Cena looks worried as Punk gets closer to the ropes, almost to within touching distance. Punk reaches out with all he has left for the bottom rope, and he might get there with a lot of the fans willing him on. He's going to grab it, but no, CENA STANDS UP AND DRAGS PUNK BACK INTO NO MAN'S LAND!!!. . . . . It's insane in the arena as Punk screams out with Cena desperate for him to tap, and it looks like he might. His hand gradually gets closer to the mat when out of nowhere, Raw's Homicide slides into the ring and stomps on Cena's head to a ton of heat.

There's some cheers too as Homicide puts the boots to Cena, breaking the hold with the ref powerless. Homicide's relentless as he pulls Cena up and fires him into the corner, following in with a hard clothesline and continuing to stomp & punch the hell out of the blindsided Cena. Punk crawls to the apron and rolls to the floor as Homicide inexplicably hammers Cena, but Cena fights back with right hands, fighting his way out of the corner. He blocks a right from Homicide and fires him into the ropes, and as Homicide comes back Cena takes him down with a LOU THESZ PRESS!

He unloads hell for leather on the Raw superstar, and as they both make their way back up, Cena slams him into the mat with the spin-out powerbomb, and with the fans cheering like mad, he signals for the Five Knuckle Shuffle, comes back off the ropes and hits it. Cena stands back up, in the zone and turns his head to see Punk slipping back in the ring with a steel chair. Punk stands up and runs at Cena, right into a kick to the gut with Cena lifting Punk up off his feet for the F-U!!!. . . . . Punk drops the chair and Cena turns to the cameras, getting ready to finish Punk. Homicide stands up though with the chair in hand and NAILS CENA IN THE BACK WITH THE IT!!!. . .

A ton of heat is thrown at Homicide as he drops the chair, glaring down without any remorse at all at the fallen Cena. Punk slowly stands back up with a sick smirk on his face and slaps Homicide on the shoulder. Cena though stars to stir, pissing Punk off, and the wannabe World Champion reaches down to pick the chair up and back away from Cena. A big pop breaks out in the crowd as Smackdown's General Manager, Tazz stomps his way down to the ring. He looks furious and he enters the ring staring at Punk and grabbing the chair from him.

Punk's pissed and he goes at it with Tazz with Cena slowly coming to and Homicide looking on. Tazz doesn't take any shit from Punk and tells him exactly what he thinks. Punk tells him it's no holds barred but Tazz says it's not meant to go down like this. Punk doesn't care and tries to grab the chair from Tazz, but the GM just shoves him back. He pisses Punk off even more and the former World Champion keeps taunting Tazz, calling him a joke & worthless. Tazz is getting angrier and Punk can see it. He keeps taunting him, telling him he can see he wants to hit him and dares him to.

Tazz resists with some fans begging him to hit Punk, and as Punk accuses him of having no balls again and tells him to get out of his ring, Tazz snaps and SWINGS THE CHAIR AT PUNK. . . PUNK DUCKS IT THOUGH AND CENA WALKS RIGHT INTO IT!!!. . . . . Cena falls in a heap with Tazz looking stunned. He can't believe what he's done and Punk just laughs, as does Homicide with the fans torn on how to react. The GM drops the chair and looks down in shock, then turns his back on the ring and leaving looking so guilty. Punk though loves it and he tells Homicide to pick Cena up, and the Raw superstar obliges.

Tazz turns round and watches with frustration as Homicide pushes Cena into Punk's path, and The Straight-Edge Superstar lifts Cena off his feet onto his shoulders, all smiles. . . GO TO SLEEP JOHN CENA!!!. . . . . Cena hits the mat and Punk turns to look at Tazz in the aisle as Stephanie McMahon runs out from the back, trying to get to the ring. Tazz grabs her though and tells her she's not getting involved again, much to Punk's amusement as he coolly covers Cena with Tazz holding onto a screaming Stephanie with the ref making the count. . . . .

1. . . . .

2. . . . .

. . . . . 3?

YES!. . . . . DING DING DING!!!

"This Fire Burns" hits to mostly a barrage of boos as the cocky Punk stands up with his arms in the air with the referee heading over to get his world title. Tazz lets go of Stephanie in the aisle and she goes mad, yelling at him, asking him what he was doing. He takes a look back at the ring to see the disgusted referee pass Punk his title and raise his hand then turns back to walk to the back, leaving Steph to look at the gloating Punk as he turns round with his title, being congratulated by Homicide.

They laugh between themselves and Punk lifts the title high up into the air, directly at Stephanie, pointing to the title and laughing with Steph absolutely furious. He turns back and walks over to the apron, taunting the fans this time by raising his title up with most of the fans booing. He doesn't care at all with Homicide looking down coldly at Cena as he opens his eyes, clueless as to what went down. Punk turns back again and throws the title over his shoulder, looking over at Stephanie and laughing again, infuriating the Executive Vice-President some more.

World Heavyweight Championship
(If Stephanie McMahon directly interferes, CM Punk retains the title)
John Cena vs. CM Punk (c)

Stephanie McMahon was indeed on hand, sitting on a fold-out chair at ringside, making Punk very uneasy throughout. He had enough of a battle on his hands in the ring with Cena hell bent on getting the world title back. He looked as though he was about to when after giving Stephanie a warning, Punk casually went to help him up, but Cena caught him off guard and swept his legs from under him before locking in the STFU. The torn crowd made a racket, both cheering & booing Cena as he ripped desperately at Punk's face, trying to make him tap out. Stephanie stood up on the outside and watched closely as Punk held on, lifting his right arm up with the ref asking him whether he wanted to quit.

He didn't though and fought his way to the ropes to a largely positive reaction from the crowd. Stephanie wasn't best pleased and sat back down. Cena shook off the initial obvious disappointment and watched Punk claw his way up by the ropes, and as the World Champion walked out to him, he lifted Punk up for the F-U. The fans booed again but Punk somehow managed to land on his feet, surprising Cena. Punk turned round and ducked a clothesline before nailing him with a roundhouse kick. Cena fell back, flat on the mat with Punk dropping to the canvas to make a cover, hooking one leg, only Cena managed to get his other foot on the rope to stop the count.

Punk was gutted but he felt the end was near and got ready for the GTS, stalking Cena as he dragged his way back up using the ropes with Stephanie watching nervously. Cena looked groggy and staggered out into Punk's path and the GTS, and Punk hit it, smirking like mad at Steph before confidently dropping to his knees to make the count, but Cena shocked everyone by getting his shoulder up at two. Punk leant back and couldn't believe it, neither could the fans or the relieved Stephanie, and she was the one smirking at Punk this time. He was furious and stood back up, dragging Cena with him for another GTS. Cena offered no resistance and looked out of it until he caught everyone by surprise again, this time countering by grabbing Punk's knee after being dropped for the GTS to lock in the STFU instead.

It was deafening in the arena as Punk screamed out in pain, clinging on to his title with Stephanie again jumping up from her seat. She walked right over to the apron, staring right at Punk as he fought for his title when a ton of heat broke out in the stands. Homicide walked out from the back, heading down the ramp, catching Steph's attention. She stormed round to the ramp and stood in his way, yelling at him to get back, and the ref saw him too and joined Steph on the outside to try & get Homicide away from the ring. Cena was puzzled and looked round to see what was going on. He broke the hold and stood up, walking over to the apron, inviting Homicide in with Punk writhing around on the mat.

Homicide looked up at Cena, standing firm as Punk slowly made his way back up to his knees. The ref & Stephanie managed to force him back slightly, and as Cena then turned round and walked over to Punk, he pulled him up to his knees, getting a low blow from the World Champion. That got a mixed reaction and Punk jumped up, lifted Cena onto his shoulders and hit the GTS for a second time. Homicide pointed at the ref to turn around, and he did, running back into the ring as Punk made the cover, getting the three to retain his title to another mixed reaction. "This Fire Burns" hit and Homicide smirked at Stephanie who shook her head, holding her head in her hands.

Punk sat up with a smug look on his face, looking right at Stephanie who stomped back towards the ring. She got in the ring and grabbed the world title from him, confusing Punk slightly. The ref left the ring and Punk walked towards Stephanie, telling her to give him the title. Clearly she didn't want to but he grabbed it from her and was screaming at her eventually to raise her hand. She wouldn't though and turned to walk away when Punk grabbed her hand. She turned back and slapped him, infuriating Punk, so much so he dropped his title and lifted Steph up onto his shoulders for the GTS. The fans were stunned as Steph tried to wriggle free, but she couldn't and Punk dropped her head onto his knee to another deafening mixed response from the crowd.

He then lifted his title back up off the mat and looked down without a shred of the remorse as the referee along with several officials including Arn Anderson & Dean Malenko ran down to check on her, quickly calling for help as Punk left the ring to join Homicide. They watched as Cena too then checked on her with EMT's rushing down to attend to Stephanie who lay there flat on her back. Cena stood up and stared up at Punk with disgust as he simply lifted his title up into the air as Smackdown came to a close with Stephanie flat out on her back on the mat surrounded by officials & EMT's.

"This Fire Burns"

The World Heavyweight Champion, CM Punk walks out to the stage without a care in the world, joined by Homicide who stands alongside him.

He looks down at the ring and heads down there in his street clothes, followed by Homicide to see a steel cage hovering above it, slightly confused by it as he enters the ring and picks a microphone up off the apron. Punk walks into the centre of the ring and takes another look up at the cage before smirking at the fans again with Homicide also looking up at the cage as the music cuts and brings out the boos even more.

CM Punk:
So I hear t'night my actions from last week are going t' be dealt with by some representative of the board of directors, an' ever since I put Steph t' sleep last week I've been told how I should explain my actions. Well I'm sorry to disappoint you but the fact of the matter is I don't have to explain my actions to anyone, an' if those people can't' figure it out f' themselves then that's their problem, not mine.

*Mixed*

CM Punk: Finally we're back t' where we were before Stephanie stuck her nose where it didn't belong. She's not here now t' stop me going on t' Wrestlemania as the World Champion where I deserve t' be the main event. It might not've come about in the best way but Stephanie's always stood f' sexual equality. It was her f-y-i that tried t' slap me last week. She tried t' put her hands on me so I intr'duced her face t' my knee. Like I said, not ideal but it is what it is. She's gone an' she's not stopping me anymore. The same goes f' Tazz. In fact, no one will stop me. . . no one. . .

"No chance, that's what you've got. . ."

A huge roar breaks out in the arena and even Punk looks stunned as he & Homicide turn and look up at the stage to see Mr. McMahon walk out with the crowd going nuts. The Chairman of the Board stops at the top of the stage and stares down intently at Punk, causing some unease for the World Champion. Vince turns and looks into the shell-shocked crowd before heading down the ramp with purpose as Punk & Homicide look on, and after stomping his way up the steps, he walks right past them, giving them a filthy look in the process. He collects a microphone and his music cuts, bringing out a huge amount of cheers from all sides of the arena. He turns to look into the crowd and turns back to Punk, glaring right at Punk, who starts to enjoy the situation.

Mr. McMahon:
You've run your mouth f' way too long. Now you're going t' listen t' what I have t' say.

*More Cheers*

Mr. McMahon: I took the time out t' think about what was important in my life both personally and professionally, an' in that time I've realised that is my family, not just my sons but my entire family. That includes my wife Linda, my grandchildren and of course my daughter Stephanie.

*Mixed*

Mr. McMahon: So as you can imagine, that's why I'm here t'night, because of what happened at the end of the show last week, and even though I've taken some time away from the business day t' day, it doesn't mean I've not been watching. It's still my company, the company you've run down f' months now, the company that signs your pay cheque may I add so I still have a vested int'rest in what happens here. Fast forwarding t' last week I saw you, the World Heavyweight Champion put your hands on not just your boss and a woman but my daughter, an' Punk, no one puts their hands on my baby girl. . . See Punk there's still a big question as to whether you deserve that title. I don't disagree that Stephanie got involved in your match with John Cena at Night of Champions, but in all three of your matches against Cena where the title's been on the line, we've not seen a deserving winner yet. That's why in just over a week's time at No Way Out in Las Vegas Nevada, it will be CM Punk defending the World Heavyweight Championship one more time against John CENA.

*Huge Pop*

Punk is seething.

Mr. McMahon:
Oh that's not all, believe me. Not only will you defend the title against Cena, t' make sure we get a deserving winner, that match will take place inside a fifteen foot high steel cage.

Later that night

Steel Cage Match
John Cena vs. Homicide

Homicide was on the edge as Cena went for the F-U, but the Brooklyn native slipped down and tossed Cena face first into the cage. After some recovery time he turned to climb the cage, getting close to the top when Cena sat up, eventually saving the day by pulling Homicide back over the cage head first before hitting a superplex off the top rope. The fans loved that, but Punk didn't! He sat there with a face like thunder as Cena went on to make a cover, but Homicide kicked out. Cena then tried to leave the cage, only for Homicide to stop him, grabbing his leg and dragging him back in. They dragged themselves back up with Cena dodging a facewash attempt and then swiftly planting Homicide with the F-U before dropping to his knees to lock in the STFU. The majority of the crowd cheered as Cena applied the pressure to Homicide who fought it for as long as he could before he had no choice but to tap out. "My Time is Now" blasted out to a loud mixed reaction, mostly cheers with Punk looking furious at the announce table. Cena got his arm raised and then turned to look at the World Champion, staring right at him with Punk standing up, staring right back at him. Punk responds by defiantly lifting his world title up into the air as Smackdown comes to a close with Mr. McMahon looking on still from the stage.

*Video Recap*
From Smackdown Two Nights Ago

John Cena, The Undertaker & Randy Orton
vs. CM Punk, Triple H & Chris Jericho
Special Guest Referee: 'The Heartbreak Kid' Shawn Michaels

The Viper had none of it and hit an RKO through the table to a huge roar from the Melbourne crowd. They loved it as Michaels then checked on both Orton & Trips who were barely moving, just as Punk dragged himself back on the apron with a steel chair in hand he got from under the ring. Michaels didn't have a clue, and as Taker was getting back up, Cena turned his head back to the action and tackled Punk in time. Cena then grabbed the chair for himself and lined up Punk, but as he swung it at him, he ducked like he did on Raw two weeks ago with Cena again nailing Taker by mistake with the chair. Taker fell back to the mat with Cena in shock, but he turned to see Punk go for a roundhouse. This time Cena ducked and dropped the chair before sweeping Punk's leg and applying the STFU to another massive pop with some boos too. Punk was screaming out in pain, trying to hold on, not that Cena was the legal man. Michaels turned his head and saw what was going on and slid back in the ring, clearly thinking Cena was the legal man as he tortured Punk. Punk eventually tapped and H.B.K. called for the bell, confusing Cena but he got on with it, getting his hand raised. "My Time is Now" hit and Michaels went back to check on Orton who was moving and Trips who started to open his eyes. Punk rolled out of the ring and Cena posed for the crowd as Taker sat up behind him with a face of fury. As he then stood up glaring at Cena, Cena turned round and realised he might be in trouble. He walked over to Taker and tried to apologise, but Taker had none of it and grabbed him by the throat to chokeslam him down to the mat. The fans loved it and Taker turned to the side, looking at Michaels who was still by the wreckage as Orton & Trips were sitting up, then some boos came from the crowd as Jericho slipped back in the ring unbeknown to Taker. He then turned, confused by the boos, turning into a Codebreaker from the self proclaimed best in the world. A ton of boos broke out as Jericho stared down at Taker, and then towards Michaels as "Break Down The Walls" played. Punk sat up on the floor and looked in the ring to see Jericho standing over Taker, as did H.B.K. as Smackdown came to a close.

__________________________________________________________________________________________________

Cena is in the ring holding a microphone and his music cuts, bringing out of the boos as he stands in the centre of the ring with those angry boos being thrown at him as well as some cheers from the younger & more sympathetic members of the crowd.

John Cena: I'm not gonna waste any time here. It's a big night f' me included but there's something that I just had t' come out here an' say. . . Friday night on Smackdown as I'm sure you all know I was part of a six man tag team match, an' one of my partners was The Undertaker.

*Big Pop*

John Cena: Unfortunately not f' the first time I accidentally hit The Dead-Man with a steel chair, but let me repeat that word accidentally. I get why Taker's mad an' I don't blame 'im. I just wan'ed t' come out here t'night an' apologise f' what happened a couple of nights ago as well f' what happened on Raw the other week. I want Taker t' know that in no way whatsoever did I mean to do what I did. Taker, I hope you can accept my apol. . .

*GONG*

"Rest In Peace"

The lights are out and the crowd are going nuts as smoke blows around the aisle and The Undertaker emerges from it, getting an even louder reaction from the Vegas crowd. Looking as menacing as ever he makes his way down to the ring, eyes focused on the ring and the man inside it, and as he takes the steps, he brings the lights on to another big roar from the fans as a growingly more concerned Cena watches on. Taker steps through the ropes, eyes locked firmly & menacingly at Cena, and The Dead-Man walks right towards him. Cena takes a big gulp as he looks up at Taker as the music stops, tension aplenty in the ring as Cena expectantly appears to be waiting for a reaction from the phenom staring coldly at him.

"Sexy Boy"

The fans are on their feet again as the WWE Champion, Shawn Michaels walks out into the arena in a referee's shirt ready for the elimination match to determine who'll face him at Wrestlemania. Taker & Cena briefly turn away from each other & look up at Michaels as he heads down the ramp into the ring with purpose, and as he steps inside, he walks past them and Cena takes his leave, making his way to the back with Michaels going to collect a microphone. His music cuts and he gets one as Taker removes his jacket, giving Michaels centre stage.

Shawn Michaels: Like John Cena, I'm gonna get right t' the point. Nobody knows how important this match is more than me, but behind that curtain t'day I've heard a lot of rumours going round that yours truly is here t'night to abuse my power as the special guest referee. Let me make this crystal clear; I might've suggested that it be fatal four-way t'night but I never, not once asked or suggested I be the referee but here I am. My job is t' call this right down the line an' on my kids' lives that's exactly what I'm gonna do.

"BREAK THE WALLS DOWN. . ."

A very serious Chris Jericho walks out to heat from the fans as Michaels hands the microphone back with Jericho looking up at him all the way, shaking his head at the WWE Champion, clearly not believing what the Texas native just said. As he gets in the ring, the self proclaimed best in the world at what he does stops & looks at Shawn with a wry smile on his face, shaking his head again as he walks towards him, letting him know exactly what he thinks. The Heartbreak Kid tries to convince him but can't and gives up, turning his back on an angry Jericho who just stares angrily at the back of his head!

"TIME T' PLAY THE GAME. . ."

Triple H
steps out from the back a man on a mission to a chorus of boos, staring down at the ring, bottle of water in hand as he pours it over his head and heads down to the ring with Taker, Jericho & Michaels watching. The Game stares right back every step of the way until he walks round the floor and climbs up on the apron, taking a swig of water before turning to look into the stands of the MGM Grand Garden Arena. The former WWE Champion leans back & throws his arms up into the air, spraying the water into the front row, staring intensely before turning to step into the ring, and as he steps inside he gazes right over at the Michaels, the man who took his title at the Royal Rumble three weeks ago. The Showstopper looks back, not intimidated by The King of Kings with Taker & Jericho also looking at their latest opponent to enter the ring.

"I hear voices in my head. . ."

The fans almost blow the roof off the joint as Randy Orton strolls out to the stage with a purpose. He looks really up for this as he gazes down at his opponents & Michaels who all look up at him. The Viper sets off down the ramp, all eyes on him as he fearlessly makes his way to the ring, intently stepping through the ropes, taking the time to try & stare out each of his opponents who all stare back at him with everyone hell bent on winning the shot at the WWE Championship at Wrestlemania.

*The Opening Match*

WWE Championship Number One Contender Elimination Match
Special Guest Referee: Shawn Michaels
The Undertaker vs. Randy Orton
vs. Triple H vs. Chris Jericho

First Elimination:
The Game stands back up with Orton getting to his knees and Trips is pissed The Viper won't stay down. He back tracks into the ropes but Jericho slaps him across the back and races through the ropes to the shock of Triple H. Michaels ushers him out of the ring as Jericho runs at Orton from behind and takes him down with a one arm bulldog. He rushes right back up to run the ropes, jumping on to them for a LIONSAULT!!. . . . . Jericho hits it, coming down on Orton and reaches to the side to hook the leg and make the cover. . . . .

1. . . . .

2. . . . .

. . . . .

Orton kicks out to the fans' relief and Jericho takes it on the chin, not looking all that surprised at all. The Canadian goes right back to work, standing up and going right to The Viper's legs, lifting them off the mat, trying to apply the WALLS OF JERICHO!!!. . . . . Orton fights it though and powers out, sending Jericho back & down to the mat, and as they make their way back up, Orton strikes with an inverted side back-breaker.

The fans get behind The Viper as Jericho rolls under the bottom rope out of harm's way, or so he thinks. Orton's got that scary look in his eyes as he stands up and looks towards Jericho. He strolls menacingly across to the apron, grabs Jericho by the head and drags him through the ropes on to the second rope, hanging him on there by his feet. The fans start to cheer again and Orton gets them cheering as he drills the Canadian with a SPIKE DDT!!!. . . . . Jericho's out of it and Orton turns him over to hook the near leg. . . . .

1. . . . .

2. . . . .

. . . . .

Michaels looks up & sees Jericho's foot on the rope, stopping the count. Orton turns his head towards the referee, then at Jericho, grudgingly having to accept the count. He does just that and retreats to the opposite corner, getting ready to take Jericho's head off with the PUNT!!!. . . . . Jericho unwittingly claws his way up on to his knees with the fans cheering in anticipation. Orton looks ready to explode, almost salivating, and as Jericho gets to his knees he bursts across the mat and swings his boot at Jericho's head.

Jericho pulls it back though and jumps back up as and turns round going for the CODE-BREAKER!!!. . . . . No, Orton pulls back and Jericho hits the deck. The Viper drops to his knees, banging his fists into the canvas, watching Jericho struggle back up, and as he makes it up to his feet, Orton leaps up and plants him with the RKO!!!. . . . . The crowd erupts as Orton shifts round to cover Jericho, hooking both legs with the fans counting along with H.B.K. . . . .

1. . . . .

2. . . . .

. . . . .

. . . . . 3!

Elimination #1: Chris Jericho by Randy Orton (pinfall).

Second Elimination: Orton stands back up as Jericho rolls towards the apron and The Game enters the ring. Orton turns round and sees Trips running at him, then connects with a perfect standing dropkick. The fans are enjoying it too as both men make their way back up and Trips runs into a snap spinning powerslam. The fans continue to cheer as a pumped up Orton turns round on his knees and sets his sights on The Game, driving his fists against the mat. The roof's about to come off but Jericho stands back up and steps out towards Orton, and The Viper gets up as Michaels stops Jericho in his tracks.

Orton stands firm though and stares at Jericho, letting him know he's ready for what he's got as Trips drags his way back up behind him. H.B.K. gets Jericho to leave the ring, and Triple H spins Orton round to kick him in the gut, quickly forcing him down into the PEDIGREE, AND HE HITS IT!!!. . . . . Orton's head got driven into the mat and Trips turns him over in a flash to make the cover with Michaels dropping to his knees and making an honest count. . . . .

1. . . . .

2. . . . .

. . . . .

. . . . . 3!

Elimination #2: Randy Orton by Triple H (pinfall).

Final Elimination: Both men drag themselves back up and Trips tries for a whip but Taker reverses it to send The Game into the ropes. He hits them and holds on, pissing Taker off and he runs in at HHH, into an extended elbow that sends him staggering away from the ropes. The Game follows him out with intent, and as Taker turns round to face him, the former WWE Champion takes him down with a SPINNING SPINE-BUSTER!!. . . . . Taker lands hard on his back and The Game can smell blood.

He stands back up and urges Taker to do the same, then throws his arms back in the air, getting ready for the PEDIGREE!!!. . . . . Taker's in trouble, and as he stands up, Trips kicks him in the gut and tries to pull him into place, but Taker counters with a back body drop, much to the fans' delight. They again claw their way back up and Taker reverses a whip to the corner, following in with a hard clothesline. Taker grabs his arm and fires him into the opposite corner, racing across the mat again for another hard clothesline.

Momentum's swinging his way quick and he turns to run the ropes as Trips staggers out of the corner, right into a running BIG BOOT FROM THE DEAD-MAN!!. . . . . Trips hits the deck to another pop from the crowd but drags his way back up, turning right into a CHOKESLAM!!!. . . . . Taker got all of it and slammed him into the canvas. The Game's flat on his back, sprawled out on the canvas as Taker drops to his knees to make the cover. . . . .

1. . . . .

2. . . . .

. . . . .

NO!!!

The former WWE Champion just gets his shoulder up, much to the disappointment of the Vegas crowd. Michaels leans back on his knees looking slightly surprised, as does Taker, but the phenom gets back to it and rises to his feet. He looks intently into the stands and pulls down one his strap, then signals for the end with a cut throat gesture. The fans love it as an unwitting Triple H lifts his head up off the mat, and Taker gives him a massive helping hand. He pulls up off the mat and scoops him on to his shoulder for the TOMBSTONE PILEDRIVER!!!. . . . .

It's deafening but Trips fights for his life and slips down Taker's back to safety, then pushes him forward into H.B.K. The WWE Champion takes a tumble and stays down, looking like he clashed heads with the shocked Taker, but Trips takes advantage by dropping on to one knee and low blowing The Dead-Man from behind to a ton of heat. The fan boo the hell out of him as he stands up without a care in the world looking down at Shawn out cold and Taker writhing around. The Game cracks a wry smile and leaves the ring to look under the apron, pulling out his sledgehammer to even more heat.

The Vegas crowd make a right racket as he slides back in the ring, eying up Taker as he tries to make his way back up. Michaels is still out of it, face down on the mat as an intense Triple H locks & loads on the unsuspecting phenom when all of a sudden a big pop breaks out and John Cena charges down to the ring. He slides in to the ring, catching Trips off guard and tackles The King of Kings down to the mat. The fans cheer Cena this time and as he stands up, he picks up the sledgehammer Trips just dropped.

Looking like he's trying to make it up to The Undertaker, Cena gets ready to take off The Game's head with his own weapon as he makes his way back up with Taker doing the same behind him. Cena's bursting to take his head off and runs at him, DRIVING THE SLEDGEHAMMER IN TO TRIPS' FACE, BUT HE DUCKS AND TAKER WALKS RIGHT IN TO THE SHOT!!!. . . . . Trips breathes a sigh of relief as Cena looks down stunned at Taker laid out thanks to him again. The Game grabs Cena's shoulder and spins him round, right into a PEDIGREE!!!. . . . .

The sledgehammer falls to the mat and Trips kicks it out of the ring, then kicks Cena to the apron before dragging the dead weight that is Taker up to his knees, struggling to do so as Michaels starts to stir. The fans boo like mad as the former WWE Champion gets set to get the rematch he craves at Wrestlemania against the man who took his title in the Royal Rumble. Taker's helpless and Trips sets him up, then sends him spiralling in to the mat courtesy of a PEDIGREE!!!. . . . . Taker's not moving and The Game rolls him on to his back as H.B.K. lifts his head up off the mat to see Triple H making the cover. Michaels drags himself across the mat and makes the count to a chorus of boos. . . . .

1. . . . .

. . . . .

2. . . . .

. . . . .

. . . . . 3!!!

Michaels calls for the bell and "The Game" blasts out to even more heat from the Vegas crowd as a smug Triple H rises to his feet. The number one contender looks down with another wry smile as the WWE Champion drags himself up to his knees, watching as his Wrestlemania opponent throws his arms above his head again. It's clearly 'Game On' now, and as Shawn makes it back up to his feet looking unsteady on them, he & Trips stare at each other. There's so much tension between them with The Game looking very confident, almost laughing as Shawn shows some vulnerability.

To his credit he walks over and tries to raise The Game's hand, and he allows Shawn to do so, he takes serious pleasure in it, but as Shawn's about to let go, Trips turns him in to a kick to the gut and a Pedigree. His music cuts and the boos ring round the MGM Grand Garden Arena as the challenger for the WWE title stares down coldly at the man he'll meet in just less than two months on the biggest stage of them all. "The Game" hits again and he poses over Michaels, thrusting his arms back and taking great satisfaction in it with Cena coming to and Taker also starting to stir with The Game standing tall.

Winner: Triple H by pinfall.

Jim Ross:
I can't believe what we've just seen. Triple H may well be going to Wrestlemania to challenge Shawn Michaels but King, there's no doubt that John Cena played a big part, albeit by accident in costing The Undertaker the chance instead.

Jerry Lawler: He sure did JR, and if I were Cena I'd be a very worried man. It's not the first time it's happened, not by a long shot. The Undertaker already chokeslammed him on Smackdown after he got hit by a chair. I don't even get why Cena came down here in the first place.

Jim Ross: I'm only guessing here but I believe he thought by helping The Undertaker out here t'night when Triple H brought out the sledgehammer it'd make up for the previous accidents. Unfortunately I think John Cena may well regret coming out here but that's not the main story here folks because we'll now see at Wrestlemania. . . Triple H, the man who lost the WWE Championship in the Royal Rumble match will face Shawn Michaels, the man who took the title from him by winning the Royal Rumble. They've had quite the history King but we're in for a whole new chapter at the 25th anniversary of Wrestlemania in what should be a match for the ages.

*Video Recap*
From Smackdown Two Nights Ago

Mickie James w/Matt Sydal vs. O.D.B.

The Diva's Champion, Beth Phoenix was watching from announce table, getting a close look at her opponent for Sunday night, and O.D.B. was on typical form. Mickie was up for the fight though and came so close to upsetting the number one contender days before her title match with the Chick Kick, only for O.D.B. to get her foot on the rope before the ref could count to three. She then went looking for the Stratusfaction but O.D.B. threw her off her shoulders and down to the mat. She dragged Mickie up and fired her with force into the corner, then ran for a Body Avalanche. Mickie staggered out right into O.D.B's clutches and the BOOM!, a fireman's carry cutter to earn a big win and remain undefeated going into No Way Out and her shot at the slightly concerned looking Diva's Champion sat at the announce table. O.D.B. stood up with a big smirk on her face as Mickie rolled out of the ring under the bottom rope to Sydal. O.D.B. shouted at Justin Roberts to give her a microphone, and after crapping his pants he did with O.D.B. looking right over at The Glamazon. O.D.B. told Beth that she's going to kick her ass bad too Sunday like she just did to Mickie, but not just that, she was going to take that sparkly ass title of hers, not before challenging Beth to get in the ring with her if The Glamazon didn't believe her. Beth picked up her title and walked over to the apron and climbed on, then stopped herself getting in the ring before changing her mind again and stepping through the ropes. O.D.B. stormed at her and hammered away at her, clubbing & then stomping Beth to heat from the Australian crowd. Beth couldn't defend herself and O.D.B. stomped her back out to the floor. She picked the diva's title up and then picked up the microphone again too and looked down at Beth rolling around the floor to say that the title will soon be hers and called Beth a 'bitch'. She then dropped the title on the floor laughing and the music hit to more boos, making it more amusing to O.D.B.

*Match #2*

Diva's Championship
Beth Phoenix (c) vs. O.D.B.

Closing Minutes: O.D.B. picks herself back up and helps The Glamazon up from her knees, now tries for an irish whip but Beth uses her strength to reverse it and catches O.D.B. with a double axe handle to the chest. Some cheers come from the fans as the Diva's Champion looks to get the upper hand, but O.D.B. is getting right back up. Beth's got a look of real determination now as she welcomes her back up with a fierce kick to the gut and drags her head into her body for a SLINGSHOT SUPLEX!!. . . . . Great strength from The Glamazon, giving it all she can to hold on to her title, and she wastes no time in going for a cover. . . . .

1. . . . .

2. . . . .

No! O.D.B. kicks out and Beth leans back on her knees, taking a mini breather but she has to get back to work quickly as O.D.B. rolls on to her side. The Glamazon heads to the corner and climbs up to the second rope, watching O.D.B. every step of the way back up and she dives off for a CROSS BODY!. . . . . No, she's caught by O.D.B. and tossed back across the mat, FALLAWAY SLAM!!. . . . . O.D.B. kips up with a smirk on her face as the champion writhes around on the mat hurting from that impact, much to the amusement of the challenger. O.D.B. takes a step back and looks like she's getting ready to rip Beth in half with a spear.

Beth doesn't have a clue as she crawls to the corner & uses the ropes to help get back up, and as she gets up to her feet, O.D.B. charges across the mat for the SPEAR, BUT BETH SIDESTEPS IT AND O.D.B. CRASHES INTO THE PADS!!. . . . . The fans are cheering now as Beth regroups and O.D.B. drags herself back up, struggling as she turns round in a spin in to Beth's grasp and the Diva's Champion tries to lift her into position for THE GRAND SLAM!!!. . . . . The fans cheer but it's a struggle with O.D.B. fighting it and she does, and both divas turn to face each other with O.D.B. levelling Beth with a thunderous short-arm clothesline!

She just cleaned Beth's clock and stares down at her angrily, but quickly drags her back up to send her crashing back first in to the pads. Beth slumps against them as the challenger storms in at her, BODY AVALANCHE!!. . . . . Boy did she get all of that and she backs up with her eyes locked on The Glamazon as she staggers out in to the path of her challenger. O.D.B. doesn't mess about and lifts her up on to her shoulders, time for the BAM!!!. . . . . No, Beth counters, spinning round on her shoulders to hit a DDT!!!. . . . . The crowd loved that.

Beth fighting to keep hold of the diva's title but they both look wrecked as they try to make their way back up to their feet but the fans start to stand up looking towards the aisle. The camera switches to a shot of Raw's Women's Champion, Queen Kong worryingly headed down to the ring looking as menacing as ever with the two Smackdown divas completely unaware of her impending presence. As they get back up, Kong enters the ring and hammers O.D.B. down from behind her, leaving the ref no choice but to call for the bell. The fans boo as Kong targets her fellow champion, nailing her with a devastating lariat.

The ref tries to keep her away but can't as Kong drags Beth up off of the mat and lifts her high up into the air for a GORILLA PRESS SLAM!!!. . . . . The behemoth just drops Beth, staring eerily into the stands. O.D.B. makes it back up and Kong turns to see her on her feet again, but she's not on them for long as Kong plants her with a TWO-HANDED CHOKESLAM!!!. . . . . O.D.B. is down & out, Beth is trying to crawl towards the ropes, but Kong walks slowly towards her and drags her back and up to her feet. Beth looks powerless as Kong scissors her between her legs, then hits a SIT-OUT POWERBOMB!!!. . . . .

Beth is flat out, but Kong isn't done it would seem, slowly standing up and dragging the helpless Diva's Champion towards the corner. The undefeated monster climbs up to the top rope with Beth motionless beneath her, and you can hear the nervousness coming from the crowd before she leaps off, DIVING SPLASH FROM THE WOMEN'S CHAMPION ON THE DIVA'S CHAMPION!!!. . . . . A ton of boos ring round the arena as Kong leans back on her knees surveying the wreckage with no emotion whatsoever.

Winner: O.D.B. by DQ.

Michael Cole:
What on earth was that all about? I don't understand why Raw's Women's Champion would come out during this match and do what she has. I just don't get it.

Matt Striker: I'm shocked Michael. What I do believe is, we haven't seen the end of this. I think you'll get your answers very soon.

We're taken to the back where Eric Bischoff & Mr. McMahon are watching the surprising events on a TV in what looks like their shared office, both looking shocked themselves.

Mr. McMahon: Did you have any idea she was going t' do that?

Eric Bischoff: I swear I didn't. . .

We can heat the door open & slammed as a very agitated World Heavyweight Champion, CM Punk bursts in with Homicide, walking right up to Mr. McMahon.

CM Punk: Alright Vince let's get all this out in the open before whatever you've got planned f' my match later. I listened t' you when you said you weren't going t' screw me out of the title like your moron of a daughter did but I never honestly believed that, then Friday night Shawn Michaels is all of a sudden the special referee. We all know your hist'ry when it comes t' screwing people out of championships, an' look what happened. Cena 'beat' me when he wasn't even the legal man, an' if you so much as try that crap again t'night Vince I might as well walk out now. . .

Mr. McMahon: Whoa Punk, let me stop you right there. I genuinely had no intention of screwing you as you put it on Smackdown, and if I did plan on screwing you out of that title, don't you think I'd have waited until t'night so you didn't see it coming? As it happens I spoke with Shawn after the match the other night to point out his mistake and he admitted it was an honest mistake. He got caught up by what was going on outside the ring with. . .

CM Punk: . . . Why should I believe a word you say? I might be the one being made out to be the bad guy f' what I did t' Stephanie but we both know that I'm the victim here.

Mr. McMahon: Look, I'm not gonna lie. I can't stand here an' pretend I don't hate your guts, whether it be for bad mouthing my company, the same company may I add that signs your very lucrative pay cheque ev'ry month or f' what you did to Stephanie, but t'night this is all about business. I'm going t' sit here with the man who tried t' run me out of business an' watch your match with John Cena with absolutely no plan in place to screw you out of the World Heavyweight Championship. T'night the best man will win. That's why I made this match so we can finally find out who deserves t' be World Champion, you or Cena. If that's you, as much as I hope it's not I'll have no choice but to accept it, and just so we're clear if your hired help gets involved t'night you know what'll happen. You'll be stripped on the spot. . .

CM Punk: . . . Yeah yeah I know all that. I just hope f' once you keep t' your word, 'cause if you don't I swear t' god there'll be hell t' pay. If you do though I will be the one who walks out of that cage t'night and into Wrestlemania as champion. The thought of you an' Stephanie actually watching makes it even better so I can rub it in your stupid faces that I'm the undisputed World Heavyweight Champion.

Looking incredibly determined, Punk looks Vince right in the eyes before turning around to leave the room, followed by Homicide.

Eric Bischoff: You're not really going t' let him get away with what he did t' Stephanie are you?

Mr. McMahon: One way another, it may not be t'night but mark my words, he'll get what he deserves.

The camera zooms in on Vince's face, not looking at all convincing.

John Cena, looking hot & bothered after what went down earlier is shown pacing back & forth in the back and a slightly hesitant Josh Matthews walks towards him.

Josh Matthews: John, any chance I can get a quick word with you about what just happened out there?

John Cena: Josh, I don't wanna talk about it. The only thing that matters right now is getting ready f' my match with Punk, that's it.

Cena rubs his hands across his face and storms off up the hallway.

*Match #3*

Harry Smith vs. Wade Barrett

Closing Minutes:
Smith's gained the upper hand and the fans are with him as he looks down intently at Barrett, struggling on his knees. Smith pulls him between his legs and sets him up for what looks like a powerbomb, but wait Barrett counters with a back body drop. Both men drag themselves back up with Harry turning back to run the ropes but he runs right in to a RELEASE BACK BODY DROP!!. . . . . Smith's face smashes in to the mat and the man from Preston, England (like me ) wastes no time in dragging Smith up to his knees and he plants him with a SIT-OUT POWERBOMB!!. . . . . Barrett got all of it and holds on for the cover. . . . .

1. . . . .

2. . . . .

. . . . .

No, Smith gets the shoulder up! The fans cheer, not appreciated at all by an angry Barrett. Wade stands back up looking determined to put Smith to bed as he bends down to pull him up, firing him straight into the ropes and this time connects with a SPINEBUSTER!!. . . . . This time it's Harry's back that crashes in to the canvas, and again Barrett goes for the cover in a flash, hooking the leg. . . . .

1. . . . .

2. . . . .

. . . . . .

No, kick out again from Smith. A cheer comes from the crowd again as Barrett leans back and stares over at the referee, but he has to go back to work with Smith squirming. Barrett again drags him back up, this time locking in an abdominal stretch. He pulls away at Smith, making Harry scream out in pain. The ref's right there to ask him if he wants to quit, but he doesn't, not for a second. He fights it, holding on for dear life despite the pain that's written all over his bright red face. Barrett looks desperate to make him quit. Smith doesn't though and digs deep, countering with a hip toss.

The fans like that & cheer as Harry tries to shake off the cobwebs. He doesn't have long though as Wade gets right back up. Wade turns & sees Smith still hurting and runs at him for a falling clothesline. Smith ducks it and scoops Barrett up on to his shoulder as he turns round. He turns to walk in to the corner with the fans cheering, expecting to see the running powerslam, but Wade slips down and shoves Harry chest first into the pads. He hits them hard and as he turns round, he staggers out towards Barrett who swiftly lifts him up on to his shoulders for The Wasteland.

Boos ring out, but as Barrett stares intently in to the stands, taking his time, Smith reacts and drives his elbow into the side of Wade's head. He falls down on to his feet behind Barrett and grabs him around the waist, looking for a german suplex, but Barrett slips round in a flash to grab Harry and then send him FLYING THROUGH THE ROPES IN TO THE RING POST SHOULDER FIRST!!. . . . . Wade drops to one knee and takes a little time to recover as Smith pulls back clutching his shoulder, and Barrett shoots back up to lift him up one more time for THE WASTELAND!!!. . . . . He hits it and Smith rolls towards the ropes with Wade crawling across on his knees to make the cover. . . . .

1. . . . .

2. . . . .

. . . . . .

. . . . . 3?

NO!

Smith gets his foot on the rope, setting off a big pop in the Vegas crowd. Barrett looks up and can't believe it, then screams at the referee. They both stand up with Barrett getting right in his face, absolutely furious as Smith rolls on to his side. Barrett continues to go at it with the ref standing his ground, but as the ref goes to check on Harry, Barrett goes in to his trunks, pulling out some brass knucks like at Night of Champions. The fans boo and the ref sees them as he turns round.

Barrett looks stunned and the ref orders him to take them off, pissing Wade off no end but he has no choice and hands them over. The ref walks over to the apron to hand them over to the timekeeper with Barrett walking towards Smith, pulling him up but Smith levels him with a right hand that knocks Barrett stone out. He falls flat on his back and Smith takes some knucks of his own off and puts them back in his trunks, and as the ref turns back, Harry goes for the cover with the fans counting along with the ref. . . . .

1. . . . .

2. . . . .

. . . . . .

. . . . . 3?

YES!

Harry stands up to a big pop, getting his arm raised with "Britannia" playing. He's got a big smile on his face and heads over to the corner, standing on the second rope to soak up the moment, still smiling like mad on a big return victory. He stands down and sees Barrett coming round slowly, amusing Harry greatly before he leaves the ring and heads back up the aisle, slapping hands with the fans, stopping to raise his arms up in the air one more time, loving being back & back with a win as a starry-eyed Barrett sits up looking clueless as to what just happened.

Winner: Harry Smith by pinfall.

Michael Cole:
Well Harry Smith took a leaf out of Wade Barrett's book here t'night an' you just know that's not going t' set well with Barrett or The Empire one bit. Either way it's a great win f' Harry on his first night back after three months out. I think he's going to enjoy the rest of the night here in Vegas, as well he should.

Standing backstage just away the production area and close to a screen are Paul Burchill, TJ Wilson & Natalya Nedihart, all three of them looking over the moon.

TJ Wilson: Now that, that was great.

Natalya Neidhart: It sure was.

Paul Burchill: Here he is, the man of the hour.

In walks Harry Smith, fresh from his big victory, smiling at the sight of this friends there waiting for him.

Paul Burchill: Congratulations.

TJ Wilson: Yeah, great job my man.

Harry Smith: Thanks guys. Man that felt good.

Natalya Neidhart: I bet.

With the exception of Wade Barrett, the remaining members of The Empire, William Regal, Drew McIntyre & Katie Lee walk into the scene, but they don't look at all happy.

Harry Smith: Hey look who it is. I'm guessing you guys aren't here t' congratulate me but I think this calls for a drink or two. . .

TJ Wilson: . . . or ten?

Harry Smith: Yeah! I mean we are in Vegas after all. How about I go get showered an' we all go out celebrate?

Paul Burchill: That sounds like a great idea.

TJ Wilson: Sure does. I'm in.

Natalya Neidhart: Me too.

Harry Smith: Great, let's go.

The UK/Canadian crew prepare to walk off but Smith stops, looking back at The Empire members

Harry Smith: Later guys. Have a good night. . . we sure will!

The Empire members look pissed, turning & looking angrily at their rivals walking off laughing & joking.

*Match #4*

Intercontinental Championship
Mystico vs. Sheamus (c)

Closing Minutes:
Sheamus is letting his anger get the better of him and drags Mystico up off the mat, lifts him off his feet and into a BEARHUG!!. . . . . The Intercontinental Champion squeezes the life out of the Mexican but there's life in the crowd as they chant Mystico's name. He looks worn out but tries to hold on, and he fights with everything he's got, responding to the crowd. He hammers down on the Irishman's head, forcing him to break the hold go and drop the challenger on his feet. The Mexican takes the fight to The Celtic Warrior and connects with a spin kick to the stomach.

Sheamus slumps forward and Mystico pulls him into place for a LEG TRAP SUNSET FLIP POWER-BOMB!!. . . . . Again the fans react, but so does Sheamus as he counters with a back body drop to send Mystico back down to the mat. Neither man's down for long as they try to make their way back up and Mystico looks to strike first with a spin kick. Sheamus grabs his boot and spins him round, then kicks him in the gut and drills him with a SNAP DDT!!. . . . . The Intercontinental Champion looks up grinning, very confident as he turns the motionless challenger over on to his back to make the cover. . . . .

1. . . . .

2. . . . .

. . . . .

NO!

The fans cheer as Mystico gets his shoulder up, surprising the hell out of Sheamus as he looks up in shock. He can't believe it and stares down furiously at Mystico as he starts to stir, and that pisses Sheamus off even more. He's pissed as he stands up and backs away from his opponent, retreating to the corner and banging his chest, getting ready for the BROGUE KICK!!!. . . . . Mystico claws his way back up, unaware of what's waiting for him with Sheamus's eyes locked & loaded on him.

He's all set to burst out of his boots, and as Mystico turns round, The Celtic Warrior charges across the mat, but Mystico ducks the boot. The fans cheer again as a stunned Sheamus puts the brakes on and turns round into an ENZUIGIRI OUT OF NOWHERE!!!. . . . . Mystico got all of it and Sheamus falls flat on his face with the fans going nuts. The Mexican challenger desperately shuffles round on the mat, turns Sheamus over and hooks the leg for the cover. . . . .

1. . . . .

2. . . . .

. . . . .

NO!

Sheamus just, and only just gets his shoulder up to the disappointment of the fans. Mystico sits up looking disappointed too, holding his face in his hands. Sheamus starts to come round and Mystico has to carry on, and does so. He stands up and brings Sheamus up with him, then tries for an irish whip. Sheamus reverses it though, but as Mystico comes back off the ropes he catches Sheamus by surprise, hitting TILT-A-WHIRL HEADSCISSORS!!. . . . . The fans love it, and as both men frantically make their way back up to their feet, Sheamus turns into a HURRICANRANA FROM MYSTICO!!! . . . . .

1. . . . .

2. . . . .

. . . . .

No, again Sheamus denies by Mystico by kicking out just in time to save his title. The challenger doesn't have time to mope about it as Sheamus picks himself back up, giving Mystico no choice but to do the same. He turns & runs the ropes as Sheamus gets to his knees, but Sheamus shoots up and catches him with a THUNDEROUS IRISH CURSE BACK-BREAKER!!!. . . . . Mystico just got his spine smashed into the Irishman's knee and Sheamus goes for the cover, hooking the leg as the ref makes the count. . . . .

1. . . . .

2. . . . .

. . . . .

NO!!!

Mystico hangs on and the fans cheer! Sheamus can't believe it as he leans back shaking his head furiously. He can't believe it and drags the battered Mexican back up, setting him up for the HIGH CROSS!!!. . . . . Mystico's hanging on by a thread, and it looks all over as Sheamus lifts him up above his head and steps out of the corner. Sheamus looks smug, but not for long as Mystico slides down his back, landing on his feet to another pop from the Vegas crowd. Sheamus turns round shocked, right into a SUPER KICK TO THE KISSER!!!. . . . . Mystico got all of it and Sheamus is out for the count with the challenger falling down on top of him for the cover as the fans count along with the ref. . . . .

1. . . . .

2. . . . .

. . . . .

NO!!!

Sheamus again gets his shoulder up and Mystico drops his head into his hands, devastated, thinking he had the match & title won right there. Mystico takes some time standing back up with Sheamus still down on the mat, giving Mystico the chance to run the ropes for a SPRINGBOARD MOONSAULT!!. . . . . Sheamus rolls away as Mystico crashes into the mat. They both pick themselves back up with Sheamus gunning for Mystico and runs right at him as Mystico backtracks into the ropes to drop toe hold Sheamus on to the middle rope.

The crowd erupts as Mystico stands up nodding his head and turns back into the ropes, storming back across the mat for the TIGER FEINT KICK, AND NAILS IT!!!. . . . . Sheamus falls back to the mat, but not for long as Mystico steadies himself on the apron. The crowd are loving it as a dazed Sheamus drags himself back up, and as he turns, Mystico hits the springboard, coming through the air, down into a BROGUE KICK FROM SHEAMUS!!!. . . . . He caught him out of nowhere and Mystico is out, giving an intense Sheamus the chance to make the cover, hooking both legs as the ref makes the count. . . . .

1. . . . .

2. . . . .

. . . . .

. . . . . 3!!

Sheamus retains but what an effort from Mystico, but Sheamus doesn't look too happy as he stands back up, staring down at his beaten opponent. He's passed his title and gets his arm raised with his music played, but as the ref lets go of his arm, Sheamus looks back at Mystico, who lifts his head up, eyes all over the shop. Sheamus drops his title and walks back towards him, then grabs his head to pull him back up off the mat. The fans boo and get a dirty look from the angry Celtic Warrior as he again sets Mystico up for the High Cross! He stands there and looks into the stands, giving the fans more filthy looks, then raises Mystico up into the air. . .

"BOOYAKA BOOYAKA. . . ."

The crowd blow the roof off the joint as Rey Mysterio (injured three weeks ago by Sheamus) emerges from the back and runs down the ramp to the shock of everyone, especially Sheamus who lets go of Mystico to get ready for Rey. Mysterio's eyes are locked on Sheamus and he slides in the ring wearing jeans a T-shirt. Sheamus charges at him but Rey ducks a clothesline and unloads with some stiff kicks to the chest that put Sheamus down on to one knee. It gives Rey the chance to check on Mystico, but Sheamus is back up quickly and he's pissed.

He charges across at Rey who steps back towards the ropes and catches Sheamus with a drop toe hold on to the second rope to another huge roar. Rey dials up, getting the crowd going even more before he runs the ropes bursts across the mat and swings through the ropes for the 619!!! Sheamus staggers back across the mat as Rey stands up on the apron, sights set on the man who cost him & Mystico the tag titles, and the Intercontinental Champion turns round in a spin, inviting Rey to hit a seated senton.

He takes Sheamus down but not for long. Sheamus turns and stares furiously at Rey, then runs right at him, but Rey leans back into the ropes and pulls down the top rope to send Sheamus spiralling down to the floor. The Irishman hits the floor to another big cheer as "Booyaka 619" plays again with Rey going to help Mystico back up, and as Sheamus sits up on the floor, he stares angrily at the both of them, absolutely livid with Rey & Mystico staring right back at him.

Winner: By pinfall, and still Intercontinental Champion, Sheamus.

Jim Ross:
Sheamus might've retained the Intercontinental title t'night King but it looks t' me like Rey Mysterio is hell bent on getting even with The Celtic Warrior.

Jerry Lawler: It sure does JR. We all know what Rey can do. Sheamus might regret picking a fight with him if you ask me.

Standing by at the interview set is Josh Matthews.

Josh Matthews: Ladies an' gentleman please welcome my guest at this time, 'The Rated-R Superstar' Edge.

The camera zooms out and there stands 'The Rated-R Superstar' Edge looking very serious indeed.

Josh Matthews: Later on t'night Edge we'll see the first ever tables ladders an' chairs match that will be decided only by pinfall or submission when you take on your brother Christian. Two nights ago on Smackdown we saw you on the end of the con-chair-to. I guess I have to ask just how you're feeling after what happened the other night going in to this huge match with Christian.

Edge: You wanna know how I am? Physically Josh I'm fine, I'm good t' go. I'm ready t' beat the crap out of my little brother who seems t' think he's got my number all because he got one win over me at Summerslam. As f' Friday night he got lucky again. I guess mentally I'm a little wound up as I'm bound t' be when I've got him running his mouth the whole time. I wasn't thinking straight the other night an' he took advantage. T'night though that's not gonna happen. I'm not gonna let what happened the other night happen again, no way. I'm not letting him get the better of me one more time. It's time he found out not just why I'm the big brother but why I'm a former World Champion an' he's not. He's gonna find out that I will be World Champion again very soon an' why he's not on my level. That one win will mean nothing after I'm done beating the crap out of 'im in a match I made famous. I was the one that speared Jeff Hardy off that ladder an' carried us to victory in the first ever TLC matches. Just like it was back then, after I've beat him t'night, all the talk will be about me an' no one will give a crap about my little brother other than the paramedics who carry him out of this arena. Then while he's in the hospital, this Friday night on Smackdown he'll be looking at the man who put him there an' the man who'll be going back-to-back in Wrestlemania main events f' the world title while he goes back t' mediocrity. That Josh will happen, I promise you that.

Edge looks intently down the lens, turns to Josh and walks off, leaving him in no doubt that he's ready for his TLC match with Christian.

*Match #5*

Matt Sydal w/Mickie James vs. Ted DiBiase w/Maryse

Closing Minutes:
Sydal & DiBiase are both tiring as they pick themselves back up. Ted goes for a weak whip attempt to the corner and it's reversed by Sydal who follows in tamely, running into a raised boot that sends him staggering out of the corner in a spin. DiBiase drags himself up to the second rope, and as Matt turns round, Ted jumps off and hits a double axe handle. It puts Sydal down but not for long. Mickie watches nervously from the outside as her boyfriend immediately pulls himself back up.

Ted watches him every step of the way and turns back to run the ropes, bounces off them and takes Sydal down with a clothesline across the shoulder blades. The current King of the Ring hits the deck again, but he still shows that all so typical courage to fight on. He's given a helping hand from a determined DiBiase though who grabs his head and spins it round so they're back-to-back, then falls to the mat, taking Matt down with a neck-breaker. The former Intercontinental Champion shimmies round, not rushing at all to hook Sydal's leg and make a cover. . . . .

1. . . . .

2. . . . .

Sydal gets his shoulder up, not really surprising his rival as he sits up, turning to the crowd momentarily. Maryse is shown in his corner, eagerly watching as her boyfriend goes back to work, eyes fixed firmly on the Breakthrough Star of 2008 as he drags his way back up. Ted's glaring at him and shifts behind him, lifting his own arms up, seemingly getting ready for DREAM STREET!!!. . . . . It's looking ominous for Sydal, and as he gets up, DiBiase pounces, trying to apply THE MILLION DOLLAR DREAM!!!. . . . .

He's going for the submission but Sydal tries to hold him off before he can lock it in, keeping his arms raised. Encouragement comes from Mickie and the crowd as DiBiase starts to panic. Sydal pulls one arm free and swings it back into Ted's upper body, getting himself free and putting Ted on one knee. Sydal turns round as Ted stands up and swings his right hand at him, but Matt ducks and connects with a FEINT ENZUIGIRI INTO A HEADSCISSORS TAKEDOWN!!. . . . . The fans are impressed, as is Mickie as she applauds her boyfriend in his corner.

Maryse is looking worried, and as both men make it back up to their feet, a rattled DiBiase turns into Sydal's body and a CYCLORAMA, A BELLY-TO-BELLY MOONSAULT SLAM!!. . . . . It's getting loud up in here as Sydal stands up & acknowledges the crowd, nodding his head, feeling the momentum & confidence growing. DiBiase's stuttering big time, struggling as he tries to get up on to his knees. The former United States Champion gives Ted a helping hand and fires him into the corner, and this time he doesn't take it easy, running at him with force, driving his elbow into DiBiase's face.

Again the fans cheer as Ted slumps down the pads, sitting up against the pads as Sydal backs up, gearing up for another charge, bursting across again for a DOUBLE LEG KICK TO THE KISSER OF THE THIRD GENERATION SUPERSTAR!!!. . . . . Ted falls on his side and Maryse walks across looking worried as she checks on her boyfriend's condition. Sydal though stands up and pulls him away slightly from the ropes to make a cover, hooking both legs as the ref makes the count. . . . .

1. . . . .

2. . . . .

. . . . .

No! Ted gets his shoulder up to the relief of the beautiful French diva at ringside. Mickie looks slightly frustrated but again encourages her boyfriend, and Sydal sees Ted's barely moving still. He stands back up and drags Ted slightly closer to the corner, then climbs up to the top rope with the fans going crazy, knowing what's coming. Maryse does too and panics, jumping on the apron to distract Sydal. Distracts him she does and he tells her to get down, but Mickie paces her way round the floor to pull Maryse down.

Maryse doesn't appreciate it at all and slaps Mickie, pissing Mickie off no end and she responds by tackling Maryse down to the floor. She unloads on her as a stunned Sydal looks on, taking his eye off of his opponent, and it's costly as DiBiase's back up and hammers him in the gut. Ted climbs up to the second rope and pulls Sydal's head down under his arm, then climbs up to the top rope, getting the crowd going a bit, knowing what's coming, and Ted goes for it, SUPER-PLEX BY DIBIASE!!!. . . . . Ted's back hits hard too, and Mickie stands up, warning Maryse before turning to look inside, immediately concerned as DiBiase sits up signalling it's over before shifting round to cover a motionless Sydal. . . . .

1. . . . .

2. . . . .

. . . . .

NO!

Sydal just gets his shoulder up to a big pop from the Vegas crowd, and Mickie takes in a big deep breath on the outside. DiBiase can't believe it and shakes his head, stands up and screams at Sydal to get back up, circling him again, ready to strike. Sydal's hurting from the super-plex though still as he gets to his knees and Ted's getting itchy feet, getting more agitated, and as Sydal makes it up to his feet, DiBiase sneaks up from behind going for DREAM STREET!!!. . . . . He grabs Matt's arm but Sydal slips free behind DiBiase and rolls him up. . . . .

1. . . . .

2. . . . .

. . . . .

Kick out from DiBiase. Both suffering they rush their way back up, Ted up first and he misses with a wild clothesline. Sydal strikes quickly with a kick to the gut, following it up with a HUGE TORNADO DDT!!!. . . . . Sydal just drilled him and Ted's out for the count. The King of the Ring quickly stands up and drags his opponent into the corner, then steps through the ropes to climb up to the dizzy heights of the top rope with the fans going nuts again. DiBiase's not moving and Mickie stands in Maryse's way as Sydal looks down, steadying himself before leaping up into the air and coming down on Ted for the SHOOTING STAR PRESS!!!. . . . . Even more cheers ring round the MGM Grand Garden Arena as Sydal reaches to the side and hooks the leg. . . . .

1. . . . .

2. . . . .

. . . . .

. . . . . 3!

Sydal gets the win and he leans back on his knees looking so relieved. Mickie gets in the ring and hugs him with Maryse looking furious. Mickie kisses Matt and they stand up with the ref raising his hand as well as Mickie. Sydal takes a brief look down at Ted as he rolls out of the ring, but Sydal hits the ropes, celebrating his win with Mickie applauding, getting a filthy look from Maryse again. Sydal soaks it up, smiling at the reaction from the crowd before stepping down looking at DiBiase getting back up on the outside, staring back at him full of fury. Maryse helps him keep his balance as they walk round to the aisle with Mickie gloating in the ring with a smug look on her face. She kisses Matt again as Ted continues staring back at them, shaking his head with frustration again as Sydal turns to the crowd again, enjoying the moment unlike his beaten angry opponent.

Winner: Matt Sydal by pinfall.

Michael Cole:
Matt Sydal picks up the win t'night folks. Maybe now DiBiase will keep his mouth firmly shut after Sydal just proved he more than deserved t' be voted the Breakthrough Star of the Year.

Matt Striker: The only critic Sydal's had is Ted DiBiase. After this win t'night that should change. My question is where does Sydal go from here? He's still got his rematch for the United States Championship. That Michael will be a great match when it happens with Dolph Ziggler.

Michael Cole: You're absolutely right Matt. Even with broken ribs he came so close to retaining his title at the Royal Rumble but there's no doubt that Ziggler is a terrific athlete. Now DiBiase's out of the way Sydal can focus solely on getting his title back. Whether or not he will is a diff'rent story but he's got a great chance. You can never underestimate Matt Sydal as he showed again here t'night in Vegas.

Watching on a screen in the back, Elijah Burke & Layla stand with Burke nodding his head with a big smile on his face.

Elijah Burke: Man I'm pumped Matt beat that jackass.

Layla: Well I hope you care about our wedding next weekend as much you do about Matt's match t'night.

Elijah Burke: Hey baby, you know I do. In fact I got a little surprise for ya.

Layla: Really?

Elijah Burke: Oh yeah. I thought since we were comin' t Vegas this weekend I'd throw you a party an' some of the other divas, Vegas style. . .

Layla: . . . Are you serious?

Elijah Burke: You bet ya, but it ain't t'night baby. It's t'morrow night. I got us a great room t'night. . .

A delfalted Ted DiBiase walks into the scene from the ring with Maryse, very much amusing Burke.

Elijah Burke: Don't look like that dog, you got what was comin', an' just f' the record I loved it.

Layla: Baby he's not worth it.

Elijah Burke: It's cool. I'm sure if this spoiled ass big mouth bitch knows what's good f' 'im he won't come anywhere near Matt or Smackdown ever again.

Ted DiBiase: For the record, I don't listen to people like you. I'll do whatever I want.

The arrogant DiBiase turns & walks away with Maryse following, giving Burke & Layla a dirty look too

Elijah Burke: Punk.

Footage from earlier in the day is shown when Christian arrived in the arena and Josh Matthews tried to catch up with him.

Josh Matthews: Christian, can I speak to you for a minute about your match tonight with Edge?

Looking fairly relaxed, Christian stops.

Christian: Sure, fire away Josh.

Josh Matthews: Well I think a lot of people were surprised by the con-chair-to to Edge Friday night. After that as well as beating him at Summerslam last year and eliminating him from the Royal Rumble, do you think you have your brother's number going in to the tables ladders an' chairs match t'night?

Christian: Y'know what Josh, I wish it was that simple. Sure I've had a few things go my way but all that means nothing if I don't win t'night. I'm not gonna think about all that's happened. I know what I've gotta do. I've heard some people say I've got a big advantage of the con-chair-to. I don't think that's the case but all I can say is that I'm gonna do ev'rything I can t' make sure I finish the job I started Friday night. This is as big as it's got f' me Josh. It's not gonna be easy, it's not gonna be fun either, trust me. It's gonna be an all out fight but I'm ready. I've been ready f' this f' a long time.

Josh Matthews: Well I wish you all the best t'night. Good luck Christian.

Christian: Thanks Josh. I'll catch y'later.

Still looking calm yet focused, Christian heads up the hall.

*Video Recap*
From Smackdown (30/1)

We're taken to a made-up interview set with Matt Striker sat in-between Christian to his left and Edge to his right, all on stools armed with microphones with Edge & Christian both staring at each other.

Matt Striker:
Gentlemen I'd like to thank you both for taking the time to join me. Obviously we're here to talk about your match next weekend at No Way Out in a TLC match proposed by you Christian where the winner will be determined for the first time in a TLC match by pinfall or submission. Given your recent history as rivals with your history as one of the most successful tag teams the business has ever seen, it seems appropriate that you'll meet in this match you have so much history in. You've met twice since Christian returned last year with one win a piece, most recently yours Edge on Smackdown a couple of weeks ago after Christian's victory at Summerslam. This match you could almost call a rubber match. Christian, is that something you had in mind when you made the challenge last week?

Christian: After hearing all that about our history it'd be easy f' me t' sit here an' lie just to agree with you but the truth is it was a spur of the moment thing. I ran down t' that ring an' when I ducked that chair shot from Adam, then grabbed it myself, that's when it hit me. Thankfully the chair didn't but inspiration did. I was still angry after he sneaked the win over me the week before. Even eliminating him in the Royal Rumble didn't make up for it. I was full of frustration. That cheap win was still eating away at me an' I know he wasn't going t' let it go, me throwing him out of the Rumble. . .

Edge: . . . You're damn right I won't an' it's a good thing you know it. You sure as hell will in Vegas next Sunday when you're looking up at the stars after I beat you like I did the other week.

Christian: Yeah, we'll see. It's about time we both moved on. I didn't come back here to argue with him for the rest of my career. I came here t' climb all the way t' the top of the business. I can't do that until this is over an' done with, an' after I beat him at No Way Out like I did at Summerslam, I'll move on to what I came back for, to be a world champion.

Matt Striker: Let's get back to the TLC match. It's a match that you helped make famous. We've seen some amazing TLC matches since but it's a match that you two certainly helped make what it is. It even helped cement your status as one of the best tag teams in the history of the WWE. I don't think many people will f'get your spear off the ladder Edge at Wrestlemania 17. . .

Edge: . . . You're right Matt. No one will f'get that. What they have f'got. . . wait. What they did f'get was Christian. No one noticed you'd gone bro because despite us being Edge and Christian, it was all about me. I was the one who went on to be the star. I've done it all. I've done it all in kinds of matches like this one. When you made that challenge last week C, you had no idea what you were getting in to. You might've been there f' those early TLC matches but you were there in the shadow, the shadow of my spotlight. You went into the shadows f' years after that, while I, the star of the team went on to win the King of the Ring, Money in the Bank, world titles an' headline Wrestlemania. You've done none of that. I carried you the entire team we were t'gether. Your one win at Summerslam you talk about was a one off, a total fluke. They happen, but it won't happen again, trust me.

Matt Striker: Christian, what's your response to that?

Edge smirks right at his brother and Christian sits up properly on the stool getting quite serious.

Christian:
Y'know it's hard to argue with a lot of that. There's no doubt he went on to big things, all the way t' the top. I won't get into how he's won some of those things an' some of the other things he's done but the fact is he's been where I plan to. As f' Summerslam, he can call it a fluke if he wants but we'll find out at No Way Out if it was a fluke or not.

Edge: You might've caught me off guard an' stopped me at the Rumble, but this is right up my street. I know that world title shot is within grasp an' you're not stopping me this time I promise you that. Once I'm done beating you, CM Punk or whoever's champion then, I'm gonna be World Champion again. That's not me being arrogant, it's the truth. It's only a matter of time before that title's back around my waist. You can say whatever you want C, nothing's gonna change that, least of all you.

Matt Striker: How do you respond to that Christian?

Christian: Well t' me it's real simple Matt. Earlier in my career I, well we were guilty of looking past people. That's one of the things that's changed now. I'm not like that. I don't take anything f' gran'ed anymore. I don't look past anyone an' the same applies here. I know what's at stake but I also know how tough this is gonna be. As much as I wanna win an' go on t' fight f' the world title, unlike my overconfident brother I know I've not won anything yet. Make no mistake, I'm gonna give it ev'rything I've got at No Way Out. I'm gonna do ev'rything I can t' make sure I win that match, an' if it's enough an' gets me a shot at the world title, then you better believe I'm gonna go all out t' make my dream come true. Adam might've been in these big matches, won these matches but you've gotta start somewhere. He did an' now it's my turn. I didn't come back t' settle f' mediocrity. I came back f' matches specifically like these an' I'm ready. I'm ready bro, an' I hope you know it too. You underestimated me at Summerslam an' if you do it again, it'll be the same outcome an' you can forget about the world title f' the time being.

Tables Match
Christian vs. Homicide

The fans might've been expecting Christian to put Homicide to the sword fairly comfortably like they did with Cena last week, but like last week Homicide showed just how tough a fighter he is. With ladders & chairs also around the ring, he more than matched Christian and looked like he may have kicked some of his teeth out after a facewash. They both struggled trying to get the other through a table, but Christian looked on the verge of doing so after ducking a West Brooklyn Lariat to connect with the Killswitch. The fans were loving it and sensed victory as he dragged Homicide up, struggling with the dead weight before shoving him on to the table. He went up top when Edge came pacing down the ramp to a ton of heat. Christian didn't notice and The Rated-R Superstar jumped on the apron and shoved him off the ropes to even more boos. Edge slipped in the ring with a steel chair picked up from ringside as Christian rolled around on the mat. Homicide came round and stood up off the table, not looking at all happy to see Edge staring right at him. Edge stared back and Homicide reluctantly leaving the ring, allowing Edge to set his sights back on his brother with the chair locked & loaded. He pushed the ref aside and ran at Christian with the chair, swung at him but Christian ducked and turned round to kick him in the gut. He then stole the chair from his brother and drove it into his gut, and then slammed it across his back as Edge slumped forward. With Edge lying on his front in the middle of the ring with the fans going nuts, a light went off above Christian's head and he placed the chair under Edge's face to a monster of a pop. The fans were going crazy as Christian then went to get another chair, then stood above his out-cold brother, staring down intensely at him before hitting the con-chair-to! He continued glaring down at Edge who just lay there spark out with more cheers coming from the crowd. Christian's music hit and he looked up into the crowd looking like a man who means business with his TLC match with Edge just 48 hours away.

*Match #6*

TLC Match (Pinfalls &Submissions Only)
Christian vs. Edge

Closing Minutes:
Edge floors his brother with a flapjack, driving his face into the mat and stands up with a determined look on his face, turning to see a ladder there leaning against the corner. He doesn't hesitate as he gets back up, going right after it, picking it up and turning back, locked & loaded on his brother as Christian picks himself back up. Captain Charisma turns round and Edge steps out towards him with the ladder, but Christian reacts in a flash, DROPKICKING THE LADDER INTO EDGE'S FACE!!. . . . . It brings a pop from the crowd and Christian makes his way back up with a new look of intensity as he sees Edge writhing around on the mat.

Christian grabs the ladder and stands it up on the mat, then shoves it down into the chest of his brother. Edge rolls around again clutching his chest, then tries to make it back up to his feet, still hurting as Christian grabs the ladder and sizes The Rated-R Superstar up, and as Edge turns round, CHRISTIAN DRIVES THE LADDER INTO HIS FACE!!!. . . . . Edge falls to the mat and is laid out, setting a light off above his brother's head, and Christian stands the ladder up several feet away from his brother who remains flat on his back.

With the Vegas crowd cheering, he climbs up the rungs of the ladder, getting to the top to see Edge still motionless. Captain Charisma looks to the stands, looking for reassurance it would seem before composing himself on top of the ladder, and he takes a deep breath before leaping off, down towards his brother, HITTING A FROG SPLASH OFF THE LADDER!!!. . . . . Holy shit he comes crashing down on Edge and it's got to be over, and he reaches across to hook the leg, making the cover as the fans count along with the referee. . . . .

1. . . . .

2. . . . .

. . . . .

. . . . . 3?

NO!!!

My god, Edge got his shoulder up! Gasps come from the crowd, clearly shocked as Christian is as he sits up looking stunned, seeing the ref signal the two count! Christian looks gutted and drives his right fist into the mat as a groggy Edge lifts his head up off the mat, still not in a good way at all. Captain Charisma has no choice but to get on with it, and that he does. He stands up and the crowd show their support, chanting his name as he gets to his feet, and he regains the intensity, staring down intently at Edge as his brother tries to get on all fours.

Christian's focused, ready to pounce, and as Edge struggles back up to his feet, Christian jumps on him, grabbing him by the arms, twisting them round for the KILLSWITCH!!!. . . . . No, Edge pulls back, grabs Christian by the back of the head, EDGE-O-MATIC OUT OF NOWHERE!!!. . . . . Edge's fighting instinct helps him out and it's the older brother going for the cover as he leans forward to hooks the legs. . . . .

1. . . . .

2. . . . .

No, Christian kicks out to a pop from the Vegas crowd. Edge lets go of the legs, not looking at all surprised and he takes the time to get some breath back and recover. Chants of "Let's go Christian" come from the crowd, quickly getting under Edge's skin. He looks angrily into the crowd before standing back up, bringing Christian up with him, wasting no time in firing him hard into the pads. He again takes a quick breath before running in at his brother, but Christian counters with a pendulum kick, sending Edge stuttering out of the corner as he climbs his way up to the top rope.

The fans will him on, and as Edge turns round, Christian comes off the top with a MISSILE DROPKICK!!. . . . . Again the fans cheer, and as Christian stands up he sees a steel chair close by. He doesn't mess about and picks it right up as Edge unwittingly makes his way back up. Captain Charisma has a wry smile on his face, getting ready to strike, and he does as Edge turns into a VICIOUS CHAIR SHOT TO THE SKULL!!!. . . . . More cheers come from the stands and Christian drops the chair, then looks around with Edge flat out again.

Christian walks over to the apron and slides under the bottom rope, going to grab a table leaning against the security wall, setting off another big pop inside the MGM Grand Garden Arena. He slips it under the bottom rope and climbs back in himself, Edge still not moving a muscle. Christian sets the table up and reaches down to drag Edge up, and it's not easy, just managing to get him up and force him on to the table. The fans are right behind him, anxiously awaiting what's coming as Captain Charisma heads to the corner, climbing up to the summit, getting the crowd going big time!

They're loving it, cheering as he stares towards his brother, lying in wait on the table, and Christian wastes no time, diving off the top for a FROG SPLASH!!!. . . . . No, Edge throws himself off the table just in time and CHRISTIAN CRASHES THROUGH IT INSTEAD!!!. . . . . More gasps come from the crowd as their favourite lies amongst the wreckage out-cold with Edge looking over breathing a sigh of relief. He remains down, breathing heavily still as his brother remains motionless.

The fans look nervous, and they have every right to be as Edge drags his way back up and clears the brokentable out of the ring with the younger brother starting to come round. The Rated-R Superstar stares down with contempt at him, then backs away to the corner, watching Christian struggling to get up to his knees, much to Edge's amusement. Edge bends down and gets ready to explode out of the corner, and the fans know what's coming. They desperately try to warn the oblivious Christian, but as he turns round with his eyes all over the shop, Edge races out of the corner and TACKLES HIM WITH THE SPEAR!!!. . . . . Christian's done and Edge knows it, smirking into the crowd before hooking the leg. . . . .

1. . . . .

2. . . . .

. . . . .

. . . . . 3?

NO!!!

Christian somehow gets his shoulder up and Edge can't believe it, sitting up with the fans going nuts. They're cheering like mad as Edge stares in bewilderment at the referee who lets him know it was definitely a two count. Edge drives both hands furiously into the mat as Christian starts to stir, and that fires Edge up even more. He stands up in a huff and goes back to the corner. He gets ready for another spear as Christian crawls towards the corner, using the ropes to help get back up, struggling desperately to do so by himself.

Edge is steaming though. It's coming out of his ears, and as Christian struggles back up and turns round, Edge bursts across the canvas again for another SPEAR!!!. . . . . Christian sidesteps it and Edge runs into the pads! The fans cheer, and as Edge turns round in a spin, Christian grabs him by the arms and PLANTS HIM WITH THE KILL-SWITCH!!!. . . . . Edge is out and the fans are on their feet going crazy as Christian shimmies round, turns his brother over on to his back and makes the cover, sloppily hooking the leg. . . . .

1. . . . .

2. . . . .

. . . . .

. . . . . 3?

NO!!!

Edge this time somehow gets the shoulder up to the frustration of the crowd as Christian looks up stunned at the ref and drops his head back down instantly, devastated, thinking he had it won right there. Edge lives to fight another day and Christian's clearly gutted, sure as he hell he had the win in the bag. He shakes his head as he stands up, then sees the steel chair and takes another glance back to see Edge sitting up but looking in bad shape. Captain Charisma goes for the chair and turns round with Edge desperately dragging himself back up to his feet. He can't get his balance initially, but as he does, Christian psyches himself up one more time and walks towards him, lifting the chair up above his head.

Edge turns round and ducks his head in time, catching Christian off guard, and as Christian turns round, Edge stomps him in the gut. Christian drops the chair and Edge drills his head into the CHAIR WITH THE EDGECUTION!!!. . . . . Captain Charisma is out! Edge pulls back on the mat with a sick smirk on his face, revelling in seeing the crowd looking on disappointed to see Christian n trouble. Edge though thrives on it and he has an idea, standing up and leaving the ring to grab another chair. Boos ring round the arena as he slides back in, letting go of the chair before walking towards Christian, still completely out of it.

The Rated-R Superstar makes sure the chair Christian's head crashed into is under his face with him face down against the chair & canvas. Edge then stands up with that sadistic smile, getting more heat from the fans as he gets the other chair and goes back to stand over Christian, still motionless. Edge lifts the chair up above his lead like Christian did to him on Friday night then, then BRINGS IT DOWN, SMASHING IT INTO CHRISTIAN'S SKULL FOR THE CON-CHAIR-TO!!!. . . . . . That surely has to be it and Edge definitely thinks so, dropping the chair before confidently dropping to his knees and rolling Christian on to his back to make the cover. . . . .

1. . . . .

2. . . . .

. . . . .

. . . . . 3?

YES!!!

"Metalingus" blasts out and Edge leans back on his knees looking into the crowd with that smug grin with Christian lying in front of him. He slowly stands back up to get his arm raised, revelling in the heat, raising both arms in the air as the ref lets go, looking down smugly at his defeated brother who remains out of it. EMT's rush down to check on him, amusing Edge more as he looks on, turning to the crowd still too, leaving us in no uncertain terms how pleased he is to have beaten his brother.

Winner: Edge by pinfall.

Michael Cole:
What a match that was right there. Edge gets the win but I hardly think you can call Christian a loser after that Matt.

Matt Striker: No absolutely not. It was an incredible effort by both men in what was a fierce match. If the plan was f' them to move on after one last competitive match here t'night, I believe they've accomplished that.

Michael Cole: They sure have an' what a match it was. Congratulations I guess go to Edge on this night but if there was any doubts about if Christian could hang with his older brother, I think we all found out that he can compete with the very best in the toughest of matches, but again I say, on this night, congratulations go to Edge.

A showered & changed Triple H is shown walking through the back dragging a travel bag, maybe leaving the arena when he's stopped by Todd Grisham.

Todd Grisham: Hun'er, before you go can I get a quick word from you about becoming the number one contender for the WWE Championship at Wrestlemania?

Triple H: Yeah I'll give you a few words Todd. Like I've told him, no matter what Eric Bischoff says or does, he can't stop me getting my WWE title back. I said it'd happen and it will. At Wrestlemania I will once again be WWE Cham. . .

Into the scene walks Eric Bischoff in, clearly not going down well with The Game, but Bischoff looks perfectly relaxed by his win earlier.

Triple H: What the hell do you want?

Eric Bischoff: Well it's very simple. I came here to congratulate you on what was, well a very eventful victory shall we say?

Triple H: Cut the crap an' get t' the point.

Eric Bischoff: Well Hun'er what I have t' say is I can't change the outcome of the match as much I'd like to given how it ended so you will indeed challenge Shawn Michaels at Wrestlemania. That said there's still some issues we need to work out between you an' Randy Orton. After your match a couple of weeks ago that didn't work out the way it should so you're going to face him again, only this time like the main event coming up next it'll be inside a steel cage t'morrow night live on Raw. As f' t'night though, congratulations.

Bischoff turns & walks off smiling, leaving a pissed Triple H staring at him walking away.

Todd Grisham: Hun'er what are your thoughts on that?

Trips turns and stares right at Todd, clearly not at all happy, unnerving Grisham a fair bit.

Todd Grisham: Clearly there's still issues with you an' Randy with all that's happened since he returned. Is there nothing you'd like t' say about that?

Triple H: Yeah. Eric Bischoff is going t' be very disappointed again when I beat Randy like I beat ev'ryone else including him t'night.

The camera zooms in on the very serious looking number one contender for the WWE Championship.

*Video Recap*
From Smackdown Two Nights Ago

My Time Is Now"
hit and John Cena burst out to the stage to a big pop looking to be loving it in the land down under, saluting them before charging down the ramp and sliding in the ring, posing again before getting a microphone. He spoke about how in just a couple of nights he'd be going one-on-one with CM Punk one more time for the World Heavyweight Championship, only this time it'd be inside a 15ft high steel cage. That got the crowd cheering again and Cena looked & sounded excited, saying that he got a taste of it last week and how he can't wait to go to war one last time with the man who hates his guts more than anyone else on the planet, joking that that was saying something. He then said he understood Punk's scepticism though with Vince McMahon giving him another opportunity at the world but the truth of the matter is when they've met something's always happened but how that will all change when they meet inside the steel cage at No Way Out. He continued to say that Vince spoke to him about it and he believes he made the match for the right reasons, namely this time we'll get a fair winner where no one can interfere. He then promised to do what he's tried to all this time and finally beat CM Punk to go on to Wrestlemania in London, England as the World Heavyweight Champion. That got a mixed response, probably due to the Australian's dislike of the English! Cena though brought up how messed up it's all been with Stephanie McMahon getting involved and how he has a point to prove, mostly to CM Punk that he deserves to be challenging for the world title. He moved on to Punk and talked about what he did to Stephanie two weeks ago, saying it wasn't his place to pass judgment on Punk but called him a coward for putting his hands on a woman and if he has to be the one to punish him it's fine by him. "This Fire Burns" then broke out and the World Heavyweight Champion, CM Punk strolled out to the stage with Homicide to a mostly negative reaction with some cheers mixed in, and Punk looked in no mood to be messed with.

The World Champion told Triple H that this isn't a 2002-2004 episode of Raw which revolved around him talking crap week in week it, it's Smackdown 2009. He then accused Jericho of taking the easy way out in leaving Smackdown for Raw, insisting that he too could've done the easy thing and walked out on what was planned to be the 'John Cena show' but he stayed and won his world title back. He then let rip and said he was back to square one, that it was a load of crap that he has to face Cena again at No Way Out but that he would beat him by the book this time and put this whole thing to an end if it kills him. Punk admitted his win at the Royal Rumble wasn't the way it was supposed to end but he did what he had to, reminding Cena that even he said Punk was screwed out of the title and that by having Homicide get involved he was just making sure it didn't happen again. Punk refused to apologise and claimed he won't have to after he retains the title by the book on Sunday night, then he'll go on to do what he should, defend the World Heavyweight Championship in the main event of Wrestlemania. He again tore in to his partners for the night, Jericho & Triple H by saying he couldn't care less about either of them or their problems as the spotlight on the biggest stage of them all will be on him, rightly so as he's the best in the business, the future of the business, the inspiration to make wrestling what it once was because he is without doubt the 'benchmark' everyone will & should be compared to. He saved his last line for Cena and told him he can get his hopes up all he wants, it's his final chance Sunday and it won't end any differently, as when No Way Out comes to an end he'll hear the words, "the winner and still World Heavyweight Champion, CM Punk." That got more heat from the crowd as Punk's music hit again and he lifted his title up in to the air defiantly with Homicide alongside him and all eyes from the ring looking up at him with not one of them at all impressed at seeing his smug face looking right back at them.

*The Main Event*

World Heavyweight Championship
Steel Cage Match
John Cena vs. CM Punk (c)

Closing Minutes:
Cena's determined to finish Punk off and helps him up from his knees, but the champion fights back, shooting up to unload on Cena with stiff kicks to the gut, forcing Cena back towards the corner. Punk's fired-up and fires more kicks to Cena's mid-section, backing him into the corner and he doesn't relent. The Straight-Edge Superstar climbs up to the second rope to hammer away at the challenger's head, but Cena comes back at him to shove him down to the mat. It's met by a mixed response from the crowd and Cena climbs up to the top rope with Punk climbing on to his knees.

Cena keeps his eyes on Punk and comes off the top for a LEG DROP BULLDOG!. . . . . Punk dodges it and Cena hits the deck to another mixed response. Punk takes in a quick breath, sights set on Cena as he gets up to his knees. The World Champion watches intently and nails him with a vicious kick to the head, putting Cena flat on his back. Punk looks down and sees Cena's not moving, now turns his head to the side and walks across the ring to climb the cage.

Young, worried girly squeals come from the crowd as the World Champion tries to make his escape, but Cena rises up to his feet, turning in a panic to see Punk getting close to the top of the cage. He rushes across and jumps up to hammer in the lower back. Cena turns round and reaches up to grab Punk by the legs, lowering Punk down on to the top rope, then down on to his shoulders, walks out from the ropes and POWERBOMBS PUNK DOWN TO THE MAT!!!. . . . . Punk's down & out on his back and Cena drops to his knees to make the cover. . . . .

1. . . . .

2. . . . .

. . . . .

No, Punk gets the shoulder up! Cena sits up and takes it on the chin, standing up and hitting the cage to try & escape, getting another mixed response as Punk tries to sit up. Cena's climbing good and gets towards the top as Punk struggles back up to see his rival about to climb over. Punk runs across as quick as he can and jumps on to the ropes, reaching up to grab Cena's leg that just remains inside. The World Champion smashes it into the top of the cage and reaches up further to drag him over to force him off the cage and down to the mat. There's a big cheer coming from some sections of the arena, and Punk turns round on the ropes with a smirk on his face as he watches Cena dragging himself back up to his feet.

Punk looks incredibly smug and as Cena turns, he dives off the top rope for a CROSS BODY. . . . . BUT CENA CATCHES HIM, THRUSTS HIM ON TO HIS SHOULDERS FOR THE F-U!!!. . . . . Punk fights back and swings his elbow into Cena's head. He slides to safety down his back and shoves Cena forward. Punk falls to one knee with the force and Cena puts the brakes on. He turns round and goes after Punk, and the World Champion shoots up, SUPER KICK OUT OF NOWHERE ON CENA!!!. . . . . Cena hits the mat and Punk falls on top of him to hook the leg and make the cover. . . . .

1. . . . .

2. . . . .

. . . . .

No, Cena gets his shoulder up to deny Punk the win! Punk doesn't look happy as he leans back on his knees looking towards the crowd, and as Cena comes too, he stands back up and backs away, watching Cena climb back up. Cena's groggy as he gets his balance and walks out towards Punk who goes for a ROUNDHOUSE KICK, BUT CENA DUCKS AND LIFTS PUNK UP OFF HIS FEET ON TO HIS SHOULDERS FOR THE F-U!!!. . . . .Punk slips down again though in a flash, grabs Cena's shorts and SENDS HIM CRASHING FACE FIRST INTO THE CAGE!!. . . . . Cena's face rebounds off the cage and he spins round dazed into the GO TO SLEEP!!!. . . . . Punk hit and Cena is asleep, flat out and Punk drops to his knees to make the cover with some fans counting along too. . . . .

1. . . . .

2. . . . .

. . . . .

. . . . . 3?

NO!!!

Cena gets his shoulder up and Punk can't believe it. He looks shell-shocked as the fans both cheer & boo with Punk staring desperately at the ref hoping he's got it wrong but he hasn't. Punk batters the canvas with his hands, absolutely furious Cena kicked out of the GTS. Some of the fans look stunned too, but Punk has to get over it. Cena starts to come round, pissing the World Champion off no end. He calls for the ref on the outside to open the door, which he does, and Punk stands back up to walk across to make his exit. Cena drags himself across the canvas though and grabs out in desperation at Punk's boot.

Punk turn his head back and tries to pull it free, then tries to kick down at Cena with his other boot, but Cena sweeps his boot and Punk falls to the mat. He's not down for long and tries to get out again but Cena stands up and drags him back, tries for an irish whip to the corner but Punk reverses it and runs in, nailing him with a high knee strike to the kisser. Punk grabs Cena's head on impact and spins round to run out of the corner for a bulldog, but Cena pulls back and shoves Punk forward into the pads. Punk hits them force and staggers out into Cena, F-U FROM CENA!!!. . . . . He got it and it's deafening in the arena, filled with cheers & boos as Cena hits the mat to make the cover. . . . .

1. . . . .

2. . . . .

. . . . .

. . . . . 3?

NO!!!

This time it's Punk who gets his shoulder up and Cena's in shock as he sits up, but he quickly shakes it off, turns Punk over and applies the STFU!!!. . . . . The crowd erupts and Cena tears away at Punk's face, and the World Champion has to fight to keep his title. He screams out in pain, face crimson as Cena tortures him, doing all he can to make him tap out. Punk keeps his right arm raised, desperately trying to keep it off the mat with the ref asking if he wants to quit. He screams no but looks in real trouble with Cena still putting the pressure on, but Punk starts to dig deep, dragging himself across the mat, trying to get to the ropes, and he gets closer.

Cena tries to hold on and Punk gets there, getting another mixed response from the fans as Cena lets the hold go, only to stand up and try to drag Punk back. The World Champion turns himself over though and kicks up at Cena, sending him back & down to the mat. Cena's not down for long though, and as Punk uses the ropes to get back up to his feet, Cena watches him, so focused & determined to put him away. Punk looks all over the place as he just manages to get his balance, and as he turns round to walk towards him, Cena again lifts him off his feet on to his shoulders and PLANTS HIM WITH THE F-U!!!. . . . . Punk is done for and Cena knows it, standing up to another huge mixed response from the Vegas crowd and he calls for the door to be opened again. . . . .

*GONG*

The crowd goes nuts as the lights go, turning the arena into darkness for about 30 seconds, and as they come back on, the cage door is open and standing outside it is The Undertaker. The fans are loving it, going absolutely mental as he glares menacingly at a stunned John Cena. Cena stands there in shock as Taker climbs the steps and enters the cage with the fans still cheering like crazy. Punk's rolled to the apron as Cena watches, still gobsmacked as the phenom walks slowly but intently towards him. Cena doesn't know what to do as Taker stares right through him, then grabs him by the throat with the ref trying to tempt him out of it, CHOKESLAM TO CENA!!!. . . . .

The fans continue cheering but Taker's not done and makes his cut throat gesture, then reaches down to drag the helpless Cena up, scooping him over his shoulder and into place for the TOMBSTONE PILEDRIVER!!!. . . . . BOOM, TOMBSTONE CONNECTS!!!. . . . . Punk sits up looking absolutely stunned as Taker slowly stands back up, eyes on Cena the whole time, then turns to look up at the Wrestlemania sign hanging from the rafters. He turns back to look at Cena before leaving the cage with Punk and the ref still shocked. Punk watches Taker leave the cage and crawls across the mat opportunistically to cover Cena with the ref reluctantly making the count. . . . .

1. . . . .

2. . . . .

. . . . .

. . . . . 3!

Punk retains and "This Fire Burns" blasts out to a heavy mixed response again as the World Champion sits up looking thrilled with Taker turning back to watch without any shred of remorse. The World Champion stands up to get his arm raised by the referee in the ring, who shakes his head doing so as the ref on the outside collects the world title and hands it over to his fellow official. Punk receives it and throws it emphatically up into the air to more cheers & boos, grinning like mad with Cena flat out. Punk isn't done gloating and walks over to the corner and climbs up to the second rope, then stops & decides to climb to the top of the cage, sitting on top of it and raising his title again, this time with both hands, smug as hell with Cena starting to stir. The smile can't be wiped off Punk's face as he laughs away, clinging on to his world title as the show comes to a close!

Winner: By pinfall, and still World Heavyweight Champion, CM Punk.

Michael Cole:
CM Punk retains his title here t'night but that's not the story folks. The Undertaker cost John Cena the chance of beating Punk and leaving Vegas t'night as the new World Heavyweight Champion, seemingly because of what happened at the start of the night when Cena inadvertently cost him the chance to go to Wrestlemania to challenge Shawn Michaels for the WWE Championship.

Matt Striker: We can't be sure Michael but that's certainly the way it looks.

Michael Cole: Well if that is indeed the case what response what will we get from John Cena? What response will we get from Mr McMahon? He won't be at all happy that CM Punk has retained the world title in the circumstances he has t'night. That though ladies an' gentleman remains t' be seen. What we do know though is that CM Punk is still World Heavyweight Champion. Folks it's been a great night in Vegas but I'm afraid that's all we've got time for. We're now well on the road to Wrestlemania, and after what we've seen t'night that road will be a rocky one. F' now though, good night ev'ryone. Take care!

*End of Show*

No Way Out Review

Triple H is going to WrestleMania, I had a feeling this was going to happen, and to tell you the truth I hate that Triple H won this match to be honest but I can understand why you did it but what I don't get is why John Cena would get involved with this match? Why would John Cena cost The Undertaker a chance to necessarily go to WrestleMania as the #1 Contender, but you know Taker he is going to be gunning for Cena, that's for sure

It's going to be Triple H vs Shawn Michaels for the WWE Championship at WrestleMania 25 in Wembley Stadium, but Triple H has Randy Orton tomorrow night on RAW, Triple H might not even make it to WrestleMania especially when Orton gets through with him

I knew Beth Phoenix would retain all be it by DQ against ODB but that is not even the real story here, the real story is the WWE Women's Champion Awesome Kong coming on to the scene and laying out both ODB and the WWE Divas Champion Beth Phoenix, just goes to show you just how Kong is the most superior diva in the WWE and how no diva could take her on, what a statement

CM Punk the World Heavyweight Champion coming in with Homicide backstage as they confront Vince who is with the RAW GM Eric Bischoff, loved that, but I wonder what Punk is going to do later on tonight in the Steel Cage should Vince decide to screw him, well whatever Punk does, I know he is beating Cena like it is too obvious

Harry Smith cheated, he cheated, this man used brass knuckles to beat Wade Barrett but at the same time Barrett probably would've done the same thing but Smith beating Barrett at his own game, I love it, but nevertheless you know The British Empire are not through with Smith yet not by a long shot and they are going to want payback

Sheamus retains his WWE Intercontinental Championship against Mystico, honestly I could see that coming but at the same time what I did not expect was Rey Mysterio to return right after the match right after Sheamus was about to attack Mystico more, Rey then coming to Mystico's aid taking it to Sheamus with Sheamus in retreat, I loved it, I can see it now, it being Sheamus vs Rey at Mania

Sydal wins yet again, he beats DiBiase, I love it but at the same time Sydal continues to be on the rise and now he can set his sights on getting back his US Title and I see him doing that on the grandest stage of them all at WrestleMania 25 when he faces Ziggler but as for DiBiase, I wonder just what he will do now at WrestleMania 25

Edge defeats Christian in TLC, what a great match, definite Match of the Year candidate for sure, these 2 definitely stole the show but Christian after what he went through in this match he definitely deserves a push but as for Edge, he can set his sights on regaining the World Heavyweight Championship but as for Christian I can see him winning the Money in the Bank briefcase at WrestleMania 25

Main event with Punk retaining his World Heavyweight Championship against Cena all be it with Vince trying to cost Punk the title but then Taker coming out to cost Cena the title as payback for what happened earlier in the night, I wonder if you are leading to Cena/Taker at WrestleMania 25 and if you are, then great

Too subtle? Hopefully this clears it up.

Final Elimination: Looking like he's trying to make it up to The Undertaker, Cena gets ready to take off The Game's head with his own weapon as he makes his way back up with Taker doing the same behind him. The Game grabs Cena's shoulder and spins him round, right into a PEDIGREE!!!. . . . .

>Breaking News!<

>Triple H Is Going To Wrestlemania!<

Earlier tonight we saw Triple H become the number one contender for the WWE Championship he lost at the Royal Rumble three weeks ago by prevailing in the elimination match tonight to determine who will challenge Shawn Michaels at Wrestlemania.

It was however in controversial circumstances as the night opened with John Cena attempting to apologise to The Undertaker for an incident on Smackdown two nights ago when he accidentally hit him with a steel chair. It was the second time in a few weeks it's happened, but it happened for a third time tonight, playing a big part in The Game's victory. After Randy Orton eliminated Chris Jericho and Orton was then caught off guard by Triple H, it left The Undertaker & Triple H to battle it out for the shot at the WWE title on the grandest stage of them all. It looked like it would be The Dead-Man when he lifted The Game into place for the Tombstone, only for Triple H to push him into Shawn Michaels who was the special guest referee. Michaels fell to the mat and The Undertaker was on the receiving end of a low blow from Triple H who then went looking to his trusty ally, his sledgehammer. Appearing to attempt to make up for his recent mistakes at Taker's expense, Cena hit the ring to tackle The Game, and then he looked to use the sledgehammer on him, only yet again he hit The Undertaker before eating a pedigree, leaving The Game to seal his rematch for the title when he will now tackle his long time friend for the title he's been described as 'obsessed' with by The Heartbreak Kid.

It will be a match that everyone will be looking forward to when Triple H challenges Mr Wrestlemania, and rightly so as it should be an absolute classic.

Default Re: WWE: A Strong Response

I wonder what Triple H is going to have to say about his victory at No Way Out but more importantly now that Triple H will be in the main event at WrestleMania 25 at Wembley Stadium for the WWE Championship facing the WWE Champion Shawn Michaels, this feud to be perfectly honest we have seen this all before way back in 2002-2004 with their feud back then being dragged on for so long but also during that feud notice how it was Triple H who always came out on top during that, if you want this feud to even remotely be interesting or at least keep it interesting, Shawn Michaels needs to go over Triple H this time in their renewed feud

Just my personal opinion anyway
