World Heavyweight Championship
John Cena vs. CM Punk (c)

I can't see past Punk to be honest. The push you have given him has been so big and has been so great, to be honest, that it would be a letdown if Cena were to win at the moment. Plus, Cena has only been on Smackdown for a little while and I think this feud has more legs with Cena chasing, rather than vice versa. But thats even if this feud continues, I wouldn't be opposed to seeing Cena wander off elsewhere.

WWE Championship
3 Stages of Hell

Batista vs. Triple H (c)

Triple H only won at Survivor Series so I don't really see any reason to give Batista the belt back so early. Maybe at Wrestlemania after months of chasing, but I see Hunter winning in a screwy fashion here. This feud definitely has legs to continue and I fully expect it to do so. I can see this being MOTN, also.

WWE Presents Night of Champions 2008

Sunday 21st December 2008
Live from the Quicken Loans Arena
Cleveland, Ohio

*The Opening Match*

WWE United States Championship
Matt Sydal © w/Mickie James
vs. Alberto Del Rio-Ramirez

Closing Minutes:
Del Rio-Ramirez is in control and he knows it, watching intently as Sydal struggles to claw his way back up to his knees. The Mexican doesnít want to give Sydal anymore time and menacingly heads across the mat, dragging the weary United States Champion up from his knees and onto his shoulders. The challenger has the King of the Ring where he wants him and smirks sadistically into the crowd with Sydal not showing any resistance, and with Mickie looking really concerned on the outside, she can only look on as Del Rio-Ramirez connects with a FIREMANíS CARRY DOUBLE KNEE GUT-BUSTER!!. . . . .

Sydalís writhing around on the mat with the challenger looking down with a sick smile on his face, now switching gears and heads over to the apron, stepping through the ropes to climb up to the dizzy heights of the top rope. The fans are trying to warn Sydal, as does Mickie as his intense opponent steps off the top rope for a DIVING SENTON!. . . . . No, Sydal rolls to safety towards the corner as Del Rio-Ramirez crash lands on the mat to a big pop. Mickie starts banging her hands into the apron, getting the fans going and getting behind the United States Champion as both he & Del Rio-Ramirez pick themselves back up.

With the fans against him, Del Rio-Ramirez isnít happy at all as he watches the struggling Sydal using the ropes to help get back up in the corner. The Mexican snaps and runs right in at him, but Sydal turns at the right time to step out of the corner and the challenger runs chest first right into the pads. The King of the Ring reacts in a flash to dropkick his opponent in the back, quickly reaching back up to roll Del Rio-Ramirez up for a cover. . . . .

1. . . . .

2. . . . .

No, kick-out! The Mexican kicks out comfortably, not surprising too many people as both he & Sydal make their way back up, turning to face each other with Del Rio-Ramirez panicking with a wild clothesline. Sydal ducks it though and nails him with a SPINNING SAVOTE KICK TO A BIG POP!!. . . . . Mickieís all smiles on the outside as Sydal wastes no time in heading to the corner, climbing up to the top rope as the groggy challenger sits up, not at all sure of where he is. The champion watches closely, waiting for his opponent to make it back up, and as the Mexican gets to his feet and turns round, Sydal leaps off the top, connecting with a DOUBLE KNEE TAKEDOWN!!. . . . . The King of the Ring holds on for the cover with the fans counting along with the refís count. . . . .

1. . . . .

2. . . . .

No! Del Rio-Ramirez gets his shoulder up and bravely tries to fight his way back up to his feet. Sydal can smell victory and watches him intently, getting ready to strike, doing so with a kick to the gut and grabbing his challengerís head, holding it by his side before running the ropes, drilling Del Rio-Ramirez with an almighty SPRINGBOARD TORNADO DDT!!!. . . . . The fans are loving it as Del Rio-Ramirez lies there motionless on the mat with Sydal shifting round in a hurry to make the cover with the fans counting along again too. . . . .

1. . . . .

2. . . . .

. . . . . 3?

NO! Del Rio-Ramirez just about gets his shoulder up to the amazement of Sydal who sits up looking stunned. Mickie too canít believe it and some of the fans shake their heads. Sydal though shakes off the disappointment and turns his head, looking towards the corner again before standing right back up, making the short walk into the corner. With the fans starting to get excited again, the United States Champion steps all the way up top with his opponent beneath him, all set it would seem to fall victim to the SHOOTING STAR PRESS!!!. . . . . Some of the fans are on their feet as the challenger sits up with the ref checking on him, and the Mexican takes full advantage of the situation.

He pushes the ref back into the ropes, dropping Sydal into a seated position on the ropes. The fans are booing as a relieved & focused Del Rio-Ramirez pulls himself back up to his feet, going right after Sydal with a big smirk on his face. He climbs up to the second rope, setting him up for a suplex before climbing up to the summit with Mickie looking concerned, watching helplessly as Del Rio-Ramirez comes off the top, planting Sydal with a SUPER-PLEX!!!. . . . . Mickie looks worried as hell as Del Rio-Ramirez slowly shifts round on the mat to cover the non-moving Sydal, slowly hooking his leg. . . . .

1. . . . .

2. . . . .

. . . . .

NO! Sydal gets his shoulder up to a big pop as Mickie breathes a big sigh of relief in her boyfriendís corner. The challenger sits back up looking absolutely disgusted, clearly believing he had the match won there & then. He calmly makes his way back up though as the starry-eyed United States Champion lifts his head up off the canvas with his opponentís eyes locked on his every move. The Mexican backs away and looks set to explode as Sydal slowly makes it back up to his knees, and Del Rio-Ramirez shifts round, stalking Sydal with evil intent.

The King of the Ring is oblivious and Del Rio-Ramirez snaps, racing up at him to hit a DOUBLE KNEE ARM-BREAKER!!. . . . . Sydal falls to the mat and the challenger is right on him again to lock in the deadly CROSS ARM-BREAKER!!!. . . . . Sydalís in a world of trouble as he screams out with the Mexican writhing away at his arm, doing all he can to make him tap. The fans & Mickie donít want that to happen and got right behind him again, chanting his name to further anger the challenger. He doesnít relent and keeps the pressure on the champion with the fans doing all they can to keep him going, and it works as Sydal tries to drag himself towards the ropes.

Mickie shifts round on the floor and looks into her boyfriendís eyes, trying to get him to keep going, and he does, getting closer to the ropes. Del Rio-Ramirez starts to panic, seeing how close Sydal is getting but keeps the pressure applied, but itís all on in vain as Sydal stretches his foot out and throws it onto the bottom rope to a massive pop. Mickie takes a deep breath and the crowd cheer like mad, but the Mexican keeps the hold locked in until the count of four. Heís furious and stands back up in a hurry, trying to drag Sydal back up with him, but the ref keeps him away for the time being.

As Sydal struggles back up, Del Rio-Ramirez is right back on him and drags him away from the ropes, setting him up for a JAW-BREAKER!!. . . . . Del Rio-Ramirez stares intently into the stands with Sydal in his grasp, or so he thinks as Sydal fights back with a series of elbows. The King of the Ring staggers back into the ropes before coming back off them at Del Rio-Ramirez, right into a SUPER-KICK FROM THE CHALLENGER!!!. . . . . Sydal falls to the mat with Del Rio-Ramirez dropping to his knees right away, desperately making the cover with the ref rushing across the mat to make the count. . . . .

1. . . . .

2. . . . .

. . . . .

NO!!!. . . . . My god, Sydal got his shoulder up to the shock of everyone in the arena, especially his opponent. Del Rio-Ramirez sits up furiously and gets in the refís face, standing up and carrying on his protest, stating his belief it was three. The ref was having none of it, getting the challenger even more hot under the collar as Sydal begins to stir. He knows heís getting nowhere and turns his attention back to Sydal, slowly walking towards him with Mickie still looking deeply concerned for her boyfriend. The Mexican stares down at his opponent with fury before pulling him up to fire him angrily into the corner.

The King of the Ring hits them back first, and after giving the fans a dirty look, Del Rio-Ramirez runs in at Sydal, but Sydal lifts both his feet up into his opponentís face, sending him staggering out of the corner. With the fans cheering, the dazed challenger turns back round and Sydal steps out of the corner to level him with an ENZUIGIRI!!!. . . . . The fans cheer like crazy as Sydal takes a deep breath as he leans against the ropes on his knees.

Looking absolutely shattered, Sydal uses every last bit of energy he has to step through the ropes onto the apron and climb up to the top rope with Del Rio-Ramirez lying flat out beneath him. The fans rise to their feet as Sydal gets ready, steadying himself on the top before leaping up into the sky, coming down on Del Rio-Ramirez for the SHOOTING STAR PRESS!!!. . . . . He got it, all of it and reaches to the side, hooking the leg for the cover as the fans again count along. . . . .

1. . . . .

2. . . . .

. . . . .

. . . . . 3!

ďBorn to FlyĒ blasts out to a massive pop as Sydal leans back on his knees looking delighted & relieved to have retained his title. Mickie joins him in the ring and gives him a big hug as he stands up while the ref gets his title for him. The ref hands the title over to him and raises his hand while Sydal lifts his title into the air with a big smile on his face before heading over to the corner to celebrate with the fans.

Winner: By pinfall, and still the WWE United States Champion, Matt Sydal.

A video of a focused looking John Cena arriving in the building, head fixed straight ahead and travel bag in hand is shown, getting a mixed reception from the fans in the arena.

*Match 2*

World Tag Team Championship
Rey Mysterio & Mystico ©
vs. The Epitome of Excellence

Closing Minutes:
Mysterio & Daniels make their way back up, both fighting to get some much needed momentum, and itís Rey who looks to get it, unleashing some stiff kicks to the body of Daniels. He forces his opponent down to his knees and runs back into the ropes, but as he comes back Daniels shoots up from his knees and plants him with a RELEASE SIDE SLAM!!. . . . . Daniels doesnít go for the cover and immediately stands up and runs into the ropes, hitting a SPRINGBOARD MOONSAULT!!. . . . . He got all of it and this time goes for the cover, hooking Reyís leg as the referee goes to make the count. . . . .

1. . . . .

2. . . . .

. . . . .

No! Rey gets the shoulder up, much to the relief of the fans but the frustration of Daniels. He isnít happy at all and wastes no time at all in getting back up, dragging Rey up with him, firing him into the corner. Daniels charges across the ring, gunning for Rey and jumps up for a HIGH KNEE LIFT!. . . . . Rey avoids it though and steps out of the corner as Danielsí knee hits the pads and he falls to the mat.

He rolls away from the corner and tries to make it up to his knees as Mysterio steps through onto the apron and climbs up to the top rope with the fans cheering. The Mexican turns his back on the ring as Daniels stands back up and walks towards him, and Rey jumps up into the air, coming down on Daniels with an ASAI MOONSAULT!!. . . . . He got it and takes Daniels down, holding on for a cover. . . . .

1. . . . .

2. . . . .

No! Daniels gets the shoulder up and Rey goes right back to work, standing up and helping Daniels up to his feet too. He tries for an irish whip but Daniels reverses it to send Rey into the ropes. Mysterio comes back off them though and counters with TILT-A-WHIRL-HEAD-SCISSORS TO SEND DANIELS ONTO THE MIDDLE ROPE!!. . . . . The fans are going nuts as Rey stands up and dials up for the 619!!!. . . . . Daniels is in trouble as Rey, with the crowd on his side turns back to run the ropes, charging across and swinging through the ropes for the 619!!!. . . . .

Daniels pulls his head back though and hammers Rey in the gut. They both take a couple of seconds to get back up but Daniels runs into the corner and hits Rey with a SPRINGBOARD DROPKICK, KNOCKING HIM OFF THE APRON AND DOWN TO THE FLOOR!!. . . . . The fans are left disappointed now with it almost silent in the arena as Rey tries to sit up on the outside with Daniels standing back up with a smirk on his face. Kaval drops down off the apron and pulls Rey up, tossing him back into the ring but he gets a bit of a talking to from the referee.

Daniels isnít bothered though and drags Rey back up straight away, lifting him up off the mat and sending him crashing into the canvas courtesy of a SPIN-OUT POWER-BOMB!!. . . . . Reyís in trouble now and Daniels looks to take advantage and makes a cover with the fans watching on nervously, as does Mystico as the ref drops to his knees and counts the fall. . . . .

1. . . . .

2. . . . .

. . . . .

No, Rey gets his shoulder up to the relief of the fans and his partner. Daniels though isnít happy and stands right back up, dragging Rey closer to the corner before climbing up the ropes, shouting out for the BEST MOONSAULT EVER!!. . . . . Daniels comes off the ropes but Rey lifts his knees up into his opponentís gut, drawing a big pop from the audience. Both men are down and struggling, Daniels rolling around clutching his stomach. They both try & crawl towards their respective corners with Mystico & Kaval chomping at the bit to get in, and as Rey & Daniels both reach out and tag their partners, they race through the ropes and charge at each other.

With the fans getting into it, Mystico ducks a clothesline from Kaval and takes him down with an arm drag. Kavalís right back up though but canít stop the Mexican coming off the ropes and nailing him with a spinning wheel kick. The fans are getting right behind Mystico as he makes his way back up with Kaval crawling towards the corner. Mysticoís got his sights set on him and runs right at him as Kaval stands up against the pads, hitting him with another spinning wheel kick that takes the Mexican onto the apron.

Kaval falls forward onto the mat but quickly makes it back up to his knees as Mystico climbs up to the top rope with the fans willing him all the way up. Kaval turns round, and Mysticoís ready to strike, jumping off looking for a HIGH ANGLE CROSS BODY!!. . . . . Kaval though counters with a STANDING DROPKICK!!. . . . . Daniels stands back up on the apron with a smile on his face. Kaval thinks it could be over and scurries across to turn Mystico over and goes for a cover. . . . .

1. . . . .

2. . . . .

. . . . .

No! Mystico kicks out as Rey looks on a relieved man on the apron. Daniels shows signs of frustration, and so does Kaval as he leans back on his knees. Mystico starts to sit up and it springs Kaval back into action, casually taking his time in standing back up, eyes fixed firmly on Mystico, and as the Mexican makes it back up to his feet, Kaval runs past him into the ropes, jumping onto them to hit the TIDAL WAVE, A SPRINGBOARD ROUNDHOUSE KICK!!. . . . . Kaval caught him full in the face and jumps on top of Mystico, flat out on his back with the referee rushing across to make another count. . . . .

1. . . . .

2. . . . .

. . . . .

. . . . . 3?

NO! Mystico just gets his shoulder up to the relief of the cheering fans, and even Rey looks stunned on the apron. Daniels though is livid and calls for the tag from his partner. Kaval doesnít look too happy about it but walks over to his partner and tags him into the match. Daniels steps through the ropes with purpose, heading right over to Mystico and dragging him away from the ropes, setting him up for the ANGELíS WINGS!!!. . . . . Daniels stares purposefully into the crowd with Mystico motionless, or not as he counters with a back body drop to the surprise of most in the arena to send Daniels down to the mat.

Both men try to drag themselves back up, Daniels looking furious. He manages to reverse an irish whip and ducks his head as Mystico comes back, flipping over Daniels back to a pop, and as they both turn round in a hurry, the crowd goes nuts as Mystico leans back and levels him with an almighty SUPER KICK!!!. . . . . Danielsí feet buckle and he falls to the mat with Mystico dropping to his knees to make the cover as the fans join in with the count. . . . .

1. . . . .

2. . . . .

. . . . .

. . . . . 3?

NO! Daniels just about manages to get his shoulder up to the shock of everyone in the arena. Kaval looks like heís just dodged a coronary on the apron as Mystico sits up staring in shock at the referee. Rey calls out to him and asks for a tag, and The Ultimate Underdog gets it. Mysterio flies into the ring, looking to wrap up the match with Daniels all but out of it. Rey charges across the mat and knocks Kaval off the apron with a forearm shot. Daniels makes it back up, looking a little shaky as Rey looks down at Kaval before turning round to see Daniels glaring at him. Daniels runs right at Rey into a drop toe hold onto the second rope.

The fans go crazy again as Rey quickly dials up before running across the ring, bouncing off the ropes and coming back to this time connect with the 619!!!. . . . . The fans nearly blow the roof off the joint as Daniels is sent back pedalling across the mat, slowly making his way back up as Rey steadies himself on the apron. Kaval though stands back up and grabs Mysterioís boot, but Rey gives him a kick to the face for his troubles to fend him off. He focuses back on the groggy Daniels and hits the springboard for the WEST COAST POP!!!. . . . . . BUT NO, DANIELS COUNTERS WITH A SIT-OUT POWER-BOMB!!!. . . . . Reyís flat out and the ref rushes across the mat to make the count. . . . .

1. . . . .

2. . . . .

. . . . .

NO! Rey somehow gets his shoulder up and Daniels canít believe it. He sits up and drives his fist into the canvas, but he sees Rey is barely moving. He stands right back up and drags Rey towards the corner, then in record time he hits the ropes and this time connects with the BEST MOONSAULT EVER!!!. . . . . He got it and reaches to the side, hooking the leg as the ref again counts Reyís shoulders. . . . .

1. . . . .

2. . . . .

. . . . .

. . . . . 3?

NO! The crowd cheer like mad again as Rey lifts his shoulder up to deny Daniels & Kaval the titles. Daniels canít believe it and shakes his head furiously, shouting out loud. He sees Rey trying to lift his head up off the mat and stands back up, taking a couple of steps back and allows Rey to claw his way back up, and Rey is looking hurt. Daniels loses it and canít wait any longer. He walks over to Rey and fires him into the ropes, but he gets a shock as Rey counters with a SPRINGBOARD REVERSE CROSS BODY!!. . . . .

BUT NO!. . . . . DANIELS DUCKS AND REY TAKES OUT THE REFEREE!!!. . . . . Both men look shocked as the ref hits the deck, Rey more so, and heís left helpless as Daniels spins him round, kicks him in the gut and drills him with the ANGELíS WINGS!!!. . . . . Daniels desperately makes the cover but the refís not able to make the count and Daniels is pissed. He leans back and calls out to Kaval to do something, and his partner jumps down off the apron to grab one of the tag title belts. He slides it into the ring to Daniels who stands up with the belt in hand as Rey comes round with the fans trying to let Rey know heís in danger.

Mysticoís seen whatís happened though and races into the ring, running right at Daniels to take him down with a clothesline. The fans cheer as Daniels hits the mat but holds onto the belt. Kaval canít believe it and storms the ring, running right at Mystico, but the Mexican sees him coming and tosses him over the top and down to the floor. The fans cheer as Mystico looks down at him, but as he turns round he sees Daniels back on his feet with the title. They run at each other and Daniels swings the belt at him, but Mystico ducks it and steals the title from him and NAILS HIM WITH THE GOLD, SENDING DANIELS DOWN TO THE MAT!!!. . . . .

The crowd are going nuts but the ref sits up and sees what happened, then calls for the bell, disqualifying the champions. The decisionís announced by Lilian Garcia that The Epitome of Excellence are the winners by disqualification but that Rey & Mystico remain champions, not that Mystico or Rey look too happy about it as Rey stands back up. Theyíre handed the titles but still donít look too pleased about it as they leave the ring, and Daniels sits up confused as to whatís going on, as does Kaval on the outside with Daniels questioning the referee. He gets angrier as heís told whatís happened with Rey & Mystico walking to the back, leaving Daniels kicking the ropes in the ring.

Winners: By DQ, The Epitome of Excellence, but still the World Tag Team Champions, Rey Mysterio & Mystico.

Josh Matthews
is standing by backstage outside the locker room of the World Heavyweight Champion, CM Punk. Josh talks up the world title match later on between Punk & John Cena, confirming it will be the main event and how it is the biggest match of Punkís two-year WWE career. He says that many people believe that Punk has backed himself into a corner, putting a lot of pressure on himself to win, going onto say that several of the WWE superstars have given their opinion on who would leave Cleveland as the World Heavyweight Champion.

A series of clips are shown featuring superstars of Raw & Smackdown talking about the main event. Shawn Michaels speaks of how heís been in the ring with both men with it all on the line, calling them complete opposites in the ring but both equally as effective. He says that before Friday night he expected Cena to beat Punk and walk out World Champion, but that after his match with Punk on Smackdown, he saw just how determined Punk is and how itís made him rethink before eventually going with his gut and choosing Cena, but just.

Next up is ĎThe Rated-R Superstarí Edge and he talks about how much Punk has to win for the good of Smackdown and the whole WWE, claiming how better itíd be without Cena. The former World Champion goes onto say itís no secret Punk feels the same way and that they worked together to beat Cena at Survivor Series, saying he firmly believes that Punk will do the same again and beat Cena once again.

The Big Show, Rawís 7-foot plus monster says that heís sat back and watched a lot of people talk a lot of crap about Cena, Punk especially, stating that the World Championís going to regret every word heís said. Show talks about how Cenaís an easy target but how heís worked for everything heís got and how he doesnít listen to any of the negativity, claiming that he does all his talking in the ring. The Worldís Largest Athlete says that itís no secret heís good buddies with Cena so itíll come as no surprise heís backing Cena to win and make Punk eat every last word.

We now get the opinion of Batista and he speaks about his recent match on Smackdown with Punk, letting us all know how frustrated he was to let Punk outsmart him like that, but also saying how smart it was. He says it was very resourceful and you canít write him off doing something similar to beat Cena, giving his opinion that itíll take a hell of a lot to put Cena away. The Animal says that Cenaís one tough son of a bitch who doesnít know when to quit, stating thatís why he thinks Cena will become the World Heavyweight Champion.

Finally we hear from Triple H, the WWE Champion and he says that he understands how Punk feels about Cena and that both he & Punk are in the same situation, going into Night of Champions defending a world title. The Game says that heís watched Punk and believes he has what it takes to beat Cena, basing it on the determination Punk he has. He carries on to say that thereís no doubting how tough Cena is but that Punk clearly wants it and he believes he will get the job done one way or another just as he will against Batista.

*Match 3*

WWE Divaís Championship
Beth Phoenix © vs. Michelle McCool

Closing Minutes:
Beth is back on top, gaining some momentum as she helps McCool back up to her feet, firing her into the ropes, nailing her as she comes back with a double axe handle blow to the chest. McCool hits the deck but sheís not there for long as The Glamazon brings her right back up, right into a SLINGSHOT SUPLEX!!. . . . . The Divaís Champion is well in control now as she goes for the cover on McCool. . . . .

1. . . . .

2. . . . .

Comfortable kick-out by the challenger! Beth doesnít look surprised but quickly goes back to work, making her way back up to her feet and bringing her challenger with her, heading over to the corner. Beth lifts her up onto the top rope and climbs up to the second, setting her opponent up for a suplex. McCool blocks it though and shoves Beth down to the mat, catching her by surprise. The challenger takes a much needed breather as the Divaís Champion tries to claw her way back up, but as she gets up, McCool jumps off the top and nails her with a MISSILE DROPKICK!. . . . .

McCool caught Beth full in the face but sheís still struggling herself, rolling to the ropes and using them to help her back up on her feet while Beth too makes her way up to a vertical base. McCool really is struggling, showing the effects of the match so far as Beth wanders on over to her, but the challenger shows her sneaky side and rakes her in the eyes. The Glamazon steps away from the ropes covering her eyes as McCool follows out and takes full advantage to catch Beth with a HAIR-PULL BACK-BREAKER!!. . . . . Finally McCool manages to steal the momentum and wastes no time whatsoever in making a cover. . . . .

1. . . . .

2. . . . .

. . . . .

No, Beth just gets her shoulder up and McCool isnít happy. Grudgingly she stands back up, giving the squirming Beth a dirty look in the process. She takes a quick look at the ropes before running into them, coming off them for a SPRINGBOARD MOONSAULT!!. . . . . But wait, Beth rolls towards the ropes and McCool crashes into the canvas, getting a pop from the fans.

Both divas make their way back up and McCool turns round into The Glamazonís clutches, getting stomped in the gut before being lifted up off her feet and then onto the shoulders of the Divaís Champion. Beth means business and quickly slams her rival into the mat with a GUT-WRENCH SUPLEX!!. . . . . With McCool flat on her back, Beth goes for another cover. . . . .

1. . . . .

2. . . . .

. . . . .

No! McCool got her shoulder up but Beth isnít fazed and goes right back to work, shimmying round and turning McCool over onto her front to apply the CLOVERLEAF!!. . . . . Josh Matthews
is again standing by backstage outside the locker room of the World Heavyweight Champion, CM Punk. This time he says he is hoping to get a word with the World Champion, now knocks on the door to bring out Punk. The Straight-Edge Superstar steps out and is asked if he could possibly spare a couple of minutes of his time despite getting ready for his huge match with John Cena later on. Punk thinks for a second before agreeing, game face well & truly on as he gives up putting an elbow pad on and throws it back inside before letting the door close. Josh thanks him for giving up his time and asks him if he was feeling the pressure as his match drawa closer, bringing up the video footage from earlier where some superstars believed that Cenaís big match experience would give him the advantage.

Punk smirks at that and tells Josh that heís never been more ready, stating itís a match heís been getting ready for the last three months. He says it was just a matter of time after Cena wound up on Smackdown that heíd get a shot at his world title at some point given his Ďsuperstarí status in the company. Punk continues, admitting to Josh that heís put a lot of pressure on himself and he knows that, claiming itís about more than the title for him, saying that he has to show the powers that be thatís all about talent and nothing else. He says that for as long as heís been in the WWE, there are superstars who have had opportunities handed to them for reasons other than talent and that those with serious talent have been cast aside because the powers that be have no belief in them to be a Ďstarí.

He carries on by talking about how everyone in the locker room knows that thereís no one whoís been more fortunate with the opportunities than Cena, and how he believes itís his place to put Cena in his and make a stand despite the extra pressure itís put on his shoulders to beat him. The World Champion adds that he knows he has to deal with the pressure and admits that Cenaís a massive challenge because of the fight he has and not the talent he lacks, but says that he believes in every inch of himself to get the job done. He carries on to say that heís not one to say things he canít back up, claiming itís not his style but how he was going to use this opportunity heís found himself in to not just retain the world title but to do something right for the business, to make a change, making it about one thing & one thing only, about the best being the best and how the best was going to be him whether the McMahon family and powers that be like it or not. Punk stares intently into the camera for a couple of seconds before going back inside having clearly convinced Josh heís more than prepared for the match with Cena.

No, kick out from the gutsy Canadian. McIntyre doesnít look as happy now and picks himself back up, bringing TJ up with him and sending him into the ropes. TJ comes back and ducks a big boot, running through into the ropes, but as he comes back this time McIntyre nails him with A BIG BOOT!. . . . . He caught him this time and goes for another cover, hooking both legs with the fans nervously watching on as the ref counts TJís shoulders. . . . .

1. . . . .

2. . . . .

. . . . .

No, shoulder up from TJ. Drew isnít happy, starting to get frustrated by the Canadianís resilience and stands back up in a huff, dragging Wilson with him and setting him up for the FUTURE SHOCK DDT!!!. . . . . He stares angrily into the crowd and at Harry & Natalya on the outside as they watch nervously, but as Drew looks to drill TJ, the Canadian slips underneath to safety.

Drew turns round in shock and gets hammered with a series of stiff kicks to the body and then the knees. McIntyre drops to his knees and TJ unleashes some fury with a thunderous stiff kick to the side of the Scotís head. This time itís Drew on the mat and TJ drops to his knees to make the cover with the fans counting out loud along with the refís count. . . . .

1. . . . .

2. . . . .

. . . . .

No! McIntyre just about manages to get his shoulder up. TJís still hurting as he tries to sit back up and tries to crawl across to his corner to tag in Burchill, slowly getting closer to his partner. McIntyre comes round and crawls up behind him, trying to stop TJ by grabbing his foot, but the Canadian jumps up to tag in Burchill. The fans cheer as Burchill steps through the ropes with McIntyre looking worried on his hands & knees. The Englishman kicks the Scot in the chest and pulls him up to his feet, then fires him into the corner.

McIntyre hits the pads and Burchill runs in at him, hitting him with a clothesline across the upper torso. The fans cheer even louder as Burchill steps back from the corner with Drew slowly walking out into a BACK-BREAKER!!. . . . . Burchillís fired up and gets right back up, watching Drew struggling to get onto all fours. As soon as McIntyre makes it up, the Englishman grabs him around the upper torso with both arms and tosses him behind with an OVERHEAD BELLY-TO-BELLY SUPLEX!!. . . . .

The fans are feeling it as Burchill gets some momentum going and follows up the suplex with a STANDING SHOOTING STAR PRESS!!. . . . . Heís swung the momentum in his & TJís favour with Barrett looking worried in McIntyreís corner, and as the Scot struggles back up to a vertical base, Burchill takes him right back down with a JUMPING NECK-BREAKER!!. . . . . The champions are on top and Burchill goes for the cover, hooking the leg as the ref runs round to make the count. . . . .

1. . . . .

2. . . . .

. . . . .

No, Barrett hits the ring to break up the count, stamping on the back of Burchillís head to stop the three count. TJís not happy and is ushered out of the ring by the referee as Barrett heads back to his corner all smug. Smith & Natalya arenít happy either as they watch on as Burchill and then McIntyre claw their way back up. Burchill looks a little groggy, but so does McIntyre as he misses with a wild right, stepping right into place for the C4!!!. . . . .

The fans cheer as Burchill gets ready to end it, but Barrett panics and storms the ring. Burchill sees him coming though and lets go of McIntyre to grab the onrushing Barrett by the head and toss him over the top rope and down to the floor. The fans cheer as The Empireís leader hits the floor, but as Burchill turns back round and walks away from the ropes, McIntyre stomps him in the gut and drills him with the FUTURE SHOCK DDT!!!. . . . . Burchillís out of it and the Scot goes right for the cover, hooking the leg as the ref makes the count. . . . .

1. . . . .

2. . . . .

. . . . .

. . . . . 3?

NO! TJ races into the ring and stops the count with a stamp to the back of McIntyreís head. The fans cheer, but Regal & Katie arenít happy, and neither is Barrett as he reaches inside the ring and drags TJ out. Wilson doesnít see it coming and Barrett fires him into the steel steps to an almighty thud. Heís all but out of it and Natalya wanders round to check on him, but she doesnít get much of a response. The lights are well & truly out as Harry too walks round, getting into it with Barrett who steps back up onto the apron as McIntyre & Burchill try to make their way back up to their feet.

Drew makes it back up by his corner and tags in Barrett who wastes no time in stepping through the ropes as Burchill just about makes it back up to his feet. Barrett urges him turn round, taunting his fellow Englishman, and as Burchill turns round, Barrett lifts him up off his feet and into position for THE WASTELAND!!!. . . . . Or so he thinks as Burchill slips down his back to safety, surprising the hell out of Barrett who turns round into a stomp to the gut and the C4 OUT OF NOWHERE!!!. . . . . The fans are cheering like mad as Burchill goes for the cover straight away, hooking the leg as the ref hurries round to count the fall. . . . .

1. . . . .

2. . . . .

. . . . .

. . . . . 3?

McIntyre breaks it up with a desperate diving axe handle to the back of Burchillís head, getting a ton of heat from the crowd. The refís livid, as is Harry as he stands up from checking on the groggy TJ. The ref gets right in McIntyreís face and ushers the unapologetic & uncooperative Scot back to the corner, but he stands his ground as both Burchill & Barrett sit up. Regal takes something out of his jacket pocket and slides whatever it is across the mat towards Barrett who picks the object up. He then slides it onto his knuckles, clearly proving itís brass knucks with the fans trying to warn Burchill as both men make it up to their knees.

Smith sees whatís happening and jumps up onto the apron, trying to tell the ref whatís going on. The ref tells him to get down as Burchill turns round to face Barrett who NAILS HIM IN THE FACE WITH THE BRASS KNUCKS!!!. . . . . The fans boo like mad as Barrett takes them off his hand and puts them in his trunks as Regal runs round and pulls Harry down off the apron, going at it with him as Katie & Natalya also slug it out. With Burchill flat out, Barrett drops to his knees and makes the cover with the fans booing the refís count. . . . .

1. . . . .

2. . . . .

. . . . .

. . . . . 3?

YES, WE HAVE NEW WWE TAG TEAM CHAMPIONS!!!. . . . . A chorus of boos ring out in the arena as TJ just fails to break the count, still hurt but looking devastated as he lies across the mat. ďBritanniaĒ hits as McIntyre joins Barrett in the ring, as do Regal & Katie with Harry & Natalya looking on furiously from the outside. Harry drives his fists into the apron as The Empire are handed what are now their tag team title belts, proudly raising them into the air with Katie going to get the Union Jack. She waves it emphatically behind the new champions with the fans continuing to boo the Brits who look down laughing at the fallen now former champions.

They then leave the ring all smiles, looking back as they back up the ramp with the titles in their possession. Harry & Natalya join TJ & Burchill in the ring as Burchill comes round, not knowing whatís happened but he sees The Empire laughing in their direction, raising the titles again with the crowd still booing. The UK Pack, Wilson & Natalya all stare furiously up at the remorseless new champions, Regal & Katie who stand there with the titles raised high into the air, and thereís no way itís over for these two teams.

Winners: By pinfall, and the new WWE Tag Team Champions, The Empire.

A video shows a split screen of John Cena & CM Punk psyching themselves up and warming up in their respective locker rooms for their World Championship showdown coming up very soon, both men looking bang up for the battle that awaits.

WWE Championship
3 Stages of Hell Match
1st Fall: No Holds Barred, 2nd Fall: Tables, 3rd Fall: Last Man Standing
Batista vs. Triple H ©

1st Fall Closing Minutes:
The Game watches intently as Batista makes his way back up, and Triple H goes right for him, hammering him with a right hand. Batista blocks it and fires back at the WWE Champion, pummelling him with right hands, putting him down onto one knee to a pop from the crowd. The Animal turns back and runs the ropes as The Game stands back up, getting sent straight back down with a DIVING SHOULDER TACKLE!. . . . .

The fans like that too as Triple H crawls over to the ropes, using them to pull himself back up with Batista standing back up too, eyes locked on his rival. Trips makes it back up and turns round, but The Animal charges right at him, CLOTHESLINING HIM OVER THE TOP AND DOWN TO THE FLOOR!. . . . . The fans cheer again as Batista joins him on the outside, helping Triple H up and sending him into the security wall, and again the fans love it.

They cheer as the challenger puts the boots to The Game, taking out some built up frustration on him, but he doesnít settle for that and pulls him back up. He drags him closer to the ring-post and tries to whip him into it, but the WWE Champion reverses it and sends Batista FACE FIRST INTO THE STEEL POST!!. . . . . Triple H drops to his knees, using some serious energy having sent Batista into the post. He takes a short breather before getting back up with The Animal coming round.

The King of Kings walks over to the timekeeperís table and picks up a steel chair, getting some heat from the fans who try to warn the oblivious challenger. Triple H calmly walks back over to Batista as he makes his way back up and drives the chair into The Animalís gut. Batista slumps forward and THE GAME BRINGS THE CHAIR CRASHING DOWN INTO BATISTAíS BACK!!!. . . . .

Batista hits the floor with the fans watching nervously, some booing as Triple H drops the chair and drags The Animal back up. Itís not easy lifting the dead weight and shoving him back in the ring but he manages it. He climbs back in and again tries to drag his opponent up, and he does, trying for an irish whip, but Batista reverses it and plants The Game with a SPINE-BUSTER!!. . . . . The fans cheer as Batista shuffles forward on the mat to make a cover. . . . .

1. . . . .

2. . . . .

. . . . .

No, The Game gets his shoulder up! The fans arenít happy about it but the suffering challenger takes it on the chin and slowly makes his way back up, walking over to the ropes and shaking them in a frenzy, getting ready it would seem for the BATISTA BOMB!!!. . . . . Triple H sits up, oblivious as to whatís waiting for him as Batista turns round and walks menacingly towards him. The challenger helps his rival up and gets him in position between his legs, but the WWE Champion fights dirty, dropping to his knees and LOW BLOWING THE ANIMAL TO A TON OF HEAT!!. . . . .

Itís legal though and both men fall to the deck, showing the strain of the battle so far. It takes them a while to drag themselves back up to their feet, but The Gameís up first and delivers a hard stomp to the gut with Batista still struggling. Triple H wastes no time, meaning business as he pulls Batista into his body and drills him with THE PEDIGREE!!!. . . . . He hit it and Batistaís not moving as The Game turns him over onto his back and makes the cover. . . . .

1. . . . .

2. . . . .

. . . . .

. . . . . 3!

The Game picks up the first fall, going some way to retaining to his title.

Winner of the 1st Fall: Triple H by pinfall.

2nd Fall Closing Minutes: The Game positions one of the two tables in the ring up against the turnbuckle pads as Batista claws his way back up, unaware of what Triple H has in store. The WWE Champion turns round and sets his sights on his former Evolution team-mate, helping him up from his knees and tries to fire him into the corner and through the table.

Batista reverses it though and sends The Game across the ring towards the table, but Trips puts the brakes on just in time. He turns round as quickly as he can and runs back at the angry challenger, running right into a SPINNING SIDE SLAM!!. . . . . The fans show their support for Batista again as he picks up the other table thatís lying on the mat. He sets it up and goes after Triple H, dragging him back up and sets him up for the BATISTA BOMB!!!. . . . .

The fans are going nuts as he lifts Triple H up above his head, but the WWE Champion fights back with some right hands to the skull, forcing Batista to back pedal away from the table and drop The Game on his feet. Triple H turns to the side and runs the ropes, coming back to hit Batista with a HIGH KNEE SMASH!!. . . . . It puts The Animal down but heís soon back up, turning round into a kick to the gut and a FLOWING DDT!!. . . . .

Triple H has the momentum on his side now as he looks to put his rival to bed, pulling the table towards them both. He bends down and drags Batista back up, setting him up for a SUPLEX THROUGH THE TABLE!!!. . . . . The Animalís title hopes look in serious jeopardy as The Game looks to put him away, but Batista blocks it and fights his way free with a couple of elbow shots to the side of Tripsí face. The Game looks unsteady on his feet and turns back round into a ONE ARM SIDE SLAM!!. . . . .

The fans again show their support for Batista as Triple H crawls across the ring on his hands & knees towards the corner where the tableís set up. Batista stands up and watches whatís going on, sensing an opportunity as he moves the other table out of his path and backs up into the corner opposite The Game. He locks his eyes on Triple H who slowly picks his way back up, not knowing whatís waiting for him with Batista ready to explode, and he does as Triple H turns round, charging across the ring TO SPEAR THE GAME THROUGH THE TABLE TO LEVEL THE MATCH TO A MASSIVE POP!!!

Winner of the 2nd Fall: Batista.

3rd Fall Closing Minutes: Both men drag themselves back up to their feet, both struggling to do so. The Game looks to strike the first blow, but Batista blocks it and nails him with a right hand to the skull. He fires Trips into the ropes but The Game holds onto them, pissing Batista off. The challenger runs at him, running into an extended elbow from the WWE Champion. He sends The Animal staggering away from the ropes, and as Batista turns round The Game runs out at him, right into a SPINE-BUSTER!!. . . . .

The Gameís down and Batista stands back up, heading back to the corner where he leans against the pads, watching as the ref counts The Game down. The WWE Champion doesnít look like heíll be down for ten as he lifts his head up off the mat and rolls onto his side. He makes his way onto his knees and up to his feet with Batista grudgingly stepping out of the corner and stomping Trips in the gut, pulling him into place for the BATISTA BOMB!!!. . . . . Itís deafening in the Quicken Loans Arena as Batista stares intensely into the cheering crowd, but The King of Kings catches him off guard with a back body drop.

The fans are left disappointed as both men roll around on the mat, trying to get back up, and as they do, Triple H walks over towards the ropes where Batista gets up. The WWE Champion kicks him in the gut and sets him up for the PEDIGREE!!!. . . . . The crowd boo but Batista fights back with a back body drop of his own, lifting Triple H over the top rope and down to the floor below. Again the fans cheer as The Game rolls around on the floor with Batista leaning against the ropes getting his breath back.

He watches as Triple H crawls on his hands & knees towards the apron, reaching his hand under the apron to pull out his trusty sledgehammer. The Animal sees it and steps through the ropes, going after his rival and dragging him up to his feet to drive his head into the apron. The Game drops the sledgehammer and Batista rolls him back into the ring under the bottom rope. The crowd erupts as Batista looks down at the sledgehammer and picks it up himself, then heads back into the ring with The Game sitting up.

The WWE Champion looks stunned & panics as he sees Batista stand up with the sledgehammer in hand. The fans are loving it as Triple H begs for mercy with Batista gradually walking towards him menacingly, taunting him too. Slowly The Game stands back up and continues begging as Batista gets closer, but he gets too close as the WWE Champion kicks him in the groin to a ton of heat. The sledgehammer drops to the mat along with Batista and The Game looks on with a big smirk on his face. The Animal rolls around on the mat and Trips coolly walks over to the sledgehammer and picks it up with a sick smile on his face.

He backs away from Batista, allowing him to stand back up, but it takes time and he hasnít got a clue whatís in store for him. The WWE Champion taunts him, urging him to get up, getting ready to take his head off, and as Batista gets back up, The Game runs at him and SWINGS THE SLEDGEHAMMER AT HIS FACE, BUT BATISTA DUCKS IT AND RUNS THE ROPES, BOUNCING OFF THEM TO RUN BACK AND RIP THE GAME IN HALF WITH A SPEAR!!!. . . . . The crowd erupts again as both men hit the deck with the sledgehammer falling out of The Gameís grasp.

Batista sits up as the ref starts the count on Triple H, and the WWE Champion isnít moving a muscle. The Animal might be on his way to regaining the WWE title, but maybe not as Trips lifts his head up off the canvas. He tries to stand back up with Batista back on his feet, cursing as he watches Triple H struggle back up to his feet as the ref counts to eight. The Animal doesnít look happy but walks across the mat with intent, dragging The Game into place for the BATISTA BOMB!!!. . . . . Itís deafening in the arena as the intense Batista gets ready to seal the deal, not noticing Triple H reaching down to grab the sledgehammer.

The fans try to warn him but he doesnít realise as he lifts The Game up above his head, and The King of Kings HITS HIM IN THE SKULL WITH THE SLEDGEHAMMER!!!. . . . . Batista falls to the mat after a soft shot from the sledgehammer and the WWE Champion falls with him. The Game drags himself back across the mat towards the ropes on his ass with the sledgehammer in hand, watching as the referee starts the count on the challenger. Batistaís not moving to the relief of Triple H, but he gets a shock as Batista starts to stir, getting a pop from the Cleveland crowd.

The Game canít believe it, but it wasnít a heavy shot that put him down, and as he sees Batista sitting up as the count gets to six, he too decides to get back up. He stands up by the ropes staring in anger as The Animal somehow claws his way back up to the delight of the fans, but Triple H has evil intent in mind as he glares at his rival with the sledgehammer in hand. Heís bursting at the seams as Batista steadies himself on his feet, still looking very groggy, and as he turns round, the WWE Champion explodes out of the corner and TAKES BATISTAíS HEAD OFF WITH THE SLEDGEHAMMER!!!. . . . .

Batista falls to the mat and is completely out of it with The Game staring down at him without an ounce of regret as the ref again starts the count, and thereís no sign of life from the challenger. The Game watches intently as the count gets to six and thereís still no movement from Batista, but his eyes open and he lifts his head up. Triple H backs away again, getting ready for another shot if Batista can get back up but he canít and the ref gets to nine as Batista tries to sit up. He canít and the ref counts to ten, then calls for the bell to a chorus of boos from the Cleveland fans.

ďThe GameĒ blasts out as Triple H drops the sledgehammer, staring down at Batista still before walking over to collect his title from the referee and getting his arm raised. He lifts the title defiantly up into the air, standing by Batista who struggles to sit up still. The WWE Champion walks over to the corner and poses with the title again, taunting the crowd in the process. He steps down and turns round, looking over at Batista, who barely manages to sit up, looking very emotional. Trips leaves the ring and heads back up the ramp, turning round again to pose with his title, lifting his title into the air with the fans still booing and Batista looking up at him, full of disappointment.

Winner of the 3rd Fall & The Match: And still the WWE Champion, Triple H.

Punk shoves Cena forward into the ropes, but Cena holds onto them. The World Championís pissed and runs right at him, but Cena holds the ropes down and Punk falls all the way down to the floor.

Cena follows him out as Punk turns over onto his back, trying to sit up and catches Cena with a drop toe hold, sending Cenaís head crashing into the security wall. Punk sits up a relieved man and heads back into the ring, standing back up and looking down at Cena struggling to get back up, and the World Champion flies into action, running back into the ropes and charging across the ring to throw himself through the ropes with a SUICIDE DIVE, TAKING CENA DOWN TO THE FLOOR!!. . . . . Itís met by another mixed reaction as both men roll around on the floor, but itís Punk whoís first up on his feet with Cena not far behind.

The World Champion helps him up and tosses him back in the ring, and Cena tries to make it back up, walking away from the ropes as Punk climbs back on the apron. He stays there, watching Cena closely while holding onto the top rope, and as Cena turns round, Punk leaps into action with a SPRINGBOARD CLOTHESLINE!!. . . . . The Straight-Edge Superstar takes Cena down again, and as he picks himself back up, Cena tries to sit up, and with a sick smile on his face, Punk runs at him and nails him with a SHINING WIZARD!!. . . . . Punk just nailed Cena in the face and looks to take advantage, going straight for the cover. . . . .

1. . . . .

2. . . . .

No, Cena gets his shoulder up to another mixed response and Punk sits up, showing some minor frustration at Cena hanging on in there. He watches Cena sit up, eyes all over the place and then stands up, focused firmly on his opponent as he sits up. Punk signals itís time for Cena to be put to sleep, and as Cena makes it back up, unsteady on his feet, the World Champion lifts him up off his feet and up for the GTS!!!. . . . . Cena fights it though all the way and slips down Punkís back, pissing him off no end.

He turns round and Cena whips him into the corner, running right in at him, but Punk lifts his boot up into Cenaís face, sending him staggering out of the corner. Cena picks himself back up and heads to the corner, pulling himself up to the second rope as Punk tries to get up to his knees. Cena watches intently and jumps off the ropes looking for a LEG DROP BULLDOG!!. . . . . But no, Punk pulls his head back and Cena lands on his ass. Some cheers come from the crowd as both men make their way back up with the ref checking on them both.

Cena turns into Punk and swings with a right hand but Punk ducks it and goes for a ROUNDHOUSE KICK!!. . . . . CENA DUCKS IT THOUGH AND PUNK TAKES THE REFíS HEAD OFF INSTEAD!!!. . . . . Both men look shocked, Punk more so, and as he turns round Cena acts on instinct and takes him down with a drop toe hold, then applies the STFU!!!. . . . . The roof might justíve come off the arena as Cena wrenches away at Punk, trying to make him tap. The fans are going mental as Punk tries to hold on, keeping his hand away from the canvas despite the ref being laid out on the mat.

Cena doesnít care though and keeps the pressure on Punk, and the World Champion taps out to a deafening noise, cheers & boos and Cena looks round to see the ref still out of it. He lets go of the hold and stands up looking really frustrated as Tazz, the Smackdown General Manager heads down the ramp and into the ring. He & Cena look at each other and Tazz takes his jacket off, seemingly taking charge of officiating duties. Cena nods his head and watches Punk squirming, then reaches down to drag him up and onto his shoulders for the F-U!!!. . . . .

Punk escapes again, slipping down Cenaís back and he shoves him right into Tazz, knocking the GM down and rolling towards the apron after clashing heads with Cena. The challenger looks shaky too and Punk looks to take full advantage, spinning him round in a flash, trying to lift him up for the GTS!!!. . . . . Cena doesnít let him and jumps down to his feet straight away to lift Punk off his feet and onto his shoulders, this time connecting with the F-U!!!. . . . .

Itís crazy loud in the arena with the ref & Tazz still down as Cena goes for the cover anyway, hooking both legs, forgetting thereís no-one there to make the count. A pop breaks out in the crowd as Stephanie McMahon-Helmsley walks down the ramp, surprising Cena as he sits up, and as she enters the ring, she tells him to make the cover. Cena does just that and Stephanie makes her way across to make the count. . . . .

1. . . . .

2. . . . .

. . . . .

NO! Punk gets his shoulder up to a mixed reaction, not going down too well with Stephanie who doesnít look happy as she stands up. Cena takes it on the chin though and shifts round to Punkís legs. He tries to turn him over for the STFU but Punk kicks up at him, shoving Cena back and down to the mat. Cenaís up quickly though and goes back to Punk, but the World Champion sits up in a flash and pulls Cena down into a SMALL PACKAGE!! . . . . .

1. . . . .

. . . . .

2. . . . .

. . . . .

Cena kicks out after a slow count and Punk sits up staring angrily at Stephanie who stares back, guilt free as Cena makes his way back up. 1. . . . .

. . . . .

2. . . . .

. . . . .

NO!! Cena gets the shoulder up after another slow count from Stephanie and Punkís livid, and so are some of the crowd. There are some cheers too as Punk stands up and gets into it with Steph, having a right go at her and he gets a slap to the chops for his troubles as Cena sits up. Punk holds his cheek and nods his head with a smirk on his face. He looks into the crowd with Steph now looking a little uneasy. He turns back and she back tracks away from him as Cena makes it back up.

Steph looks relieved as she looks over Punkís shoulder, setting off alarm bells for the World Champion who turns round to see Cena running at him and he ducks. Cena just manages to stop before he runs into Steph, but Punk spins him round in a flash to lift him up onto his shoulders and connects with the GTS!!!. . . . . Punk drops to his knees with a smile on his face to make the cover, but Stephanie stands still, refusing to count the fall to a ton of heat with some cheers mixed in. Punk leans back and looks over at her standing there without a care in the world.

The World Champion canít believe it and stands up, taking his time and walking menacingly towards her. With the crowd going crazy he gets right in her face, having a real go at her and she gives it back, standing her ground as Cena comes round, starting to sit up. Stephanie again tries to slap Punk but he blocks it this time and shakes his head at her, and she realises she might justíve made a mistake. Punk mouths something to her and lifts her up onto his shoulders, setting her up for the GTS!!!. . . . . You canít hear yourself think.

Itís deafening in the arena as Punk turns round with Steph up on his shoulders, but Tazz is back on his feet and pulls her down, pissing Punk off no end who scoops Tazz up off his feet and nails him with the GTS!!!. . . . . Punk stares down coldly at the fallen General Manager with contempt, then turns his head to Stephanie who looks very worried. Punk goes to grab her again but Cena spins him round, catching him off guard to lift him up off the mat and send him crashing into the canvas with the F-U!!!. . . . . The crowd are split as Cena goes for the cover in a hurry and Steph darts across to make the count. . . . .

1. 2. 3.

Steph makes an insanely quick count, giving Cena the win and the world title, drawing a ton of heat in the arena. She goes to get the world title as Cena sits up in shock, not sure what to make of whatís just happened. Stephanie, without a shred of remorse walks over to him with the title and holds it out to him, and he reluctantly takes it in his hand and stands up with ďMy Time is NowĒ playing.

Steph grabs his arm and lifts it up in the air with Cena still unsure of how to deal with whatís gone on. Steph takes her leave and heads back up the ramp without looking back as Cena looks into the crowd with the world title in hand, clueless how to react as Punk sits up with the ref & Tazz still starting to stir. Punkís livid as he looks up at Steph walking through the curtain, then turns to Cena who looks almost apologetic as the show comes to a close with Punk absolutely livid.

Winner: By pinfall, and the new World Heavyweight Champion, John Cena.

Awesome PPV. Alberto Del Rio vs. Matt Sydal was an incredible opener and one of the best matches of the night. Both the tag bouts were good reads, and the two main events were great. I'll edit this post and post an actual review later.

WOOOOOO! Tied 1st in the predictions.. lol.

>Headlines!<

>New Champs Crowned!<

We saw three new champions crowned at Night of Champions this evening, including a new World Heavyweight Champion in John Cena.

In what was an incredibly controversial ending to the match, Cena defeated CM Punk with the F-U thanks to a very quick count from Stephanie McMahon-Helmsley. After a roundhouse kick from Punk took out the referee, the Smackdown General Manager, Tazz came down to the ring to take over the officiating duties. That was until he too found himself on the mat when Punk accidentally pushed Cena into him. That brought Stephanie down to the ring, and if anybody was in doubt as to how strongly she felt about Punk as the World Champion, she made her feelings perfectly clear. Having counted a number of slow falls, she then refused to make a count when Punk hit Cena with the GTS.

Punk was livid and was only stopped from putting Stephanie to sleep by Tazz, but he then found himself on the receiving end of the GTS. Just as it looked like Stephanie was going to fall to the same fate, Cena came to the rescue and hit Punk with the F-U, leading to the quick count from Stephanie that gave Cena his first World Heavyweight Championship to add to his multiple WWE Championships. You can be sure Punk will have a lot more to say than usual on the last Smackdown of the year this coming Friday night, and so might Cena. Even the new World Champion looked very uncomfortable with how he won the gold. Itís going to be very interesting when theyíre all under one roof five nights from now on the Boxing Day edition of Smackdown.

The Empire also won the WWE Tag Team titles in controversial fashion when they defeated the makeshift team of Paul Burchill & TJ Wilson. In what was a very competitive battle to the finish, William Regal helped out his Empire team-mates by slipping some brass knucks into the ring and to the path of Wade Barrett. The leader of The Empire then used them to knock out Burchill to secure the titles theyíve set their sights on since coming to Smackdown earlier this year. Like Punk, Burchill, Wilson & Harry Smith might just have something to say this Friday on Smackdown.

The only other title change tonight came when Queen Kong continued her dominance over the Raw divas when she overcame Melina to become the new WWE Womenís Champion. Despite putting up a brave fight, like the rest of the Raw divas who have tried before her, she couldnít stop the behemoth that is Kong. Will anyone be able to stop her? If her undefeated streak is anything to go by she could be champion for a long time to come.

>Bischoff To Make History<

Earlier tonight, Rawís Head of Authority, Eric Bischoff promised to make an announcement on Raw tomorrow night that is going to make WWE history. He was playing it very coy and wouldnít elaborate any further on just what bombshell he plans to drop tomorrow night but the Raw superstars may well be in for a shock when they arrive in Hershey, Pennsylvania.

Whatever it is he has to say, make sure you tune into find out just how heís going to make WWE history.

Monday Night Raw Ė PREVIEW!
Monday 22nd December 2008
Live from the Giant Center
Hershey, Pennsylvania

Raw comes to you live from Hershey, Pennsylvania tonight less than 24 hours after last nightís Night of Champions pay-per-view. Rawís champions had a good night with only Melina failing to defend her title, the Womenís Championship against Queen Kong. The behemoth added the womenís title to her undefeated title, cracking some of Melinaís ribs in the process. Kong will be back in action tonight when she defends her title against Kelly Kelly. Will Kelly have more luck than the former Womenís Champion and somehow manage to end Kongís undefeated streak since coming to Raw?

Triple H successfully retained the WWE Championship against Batista in their Three Stages of Hell match where hell was very appropriate. How will he & The Animal be feeling just 24 hours after their brutal match?

Sheamus also retained his title, the Intercontinental Championship against Kofi Kingston in what was a very brave effort from the Jamaican who came so close to regaining the title. However the defeat wasnít what he will probably remember after his brother, Jay attacked him in the ring afterwards. It looks like things are about to boil over between these two, maybe tonight in Hershey. As for Sheamus, heíll have to step into the ring with the man he got himself disqualified against last week in The Undertaker. Can The Celtic Warrior avoid getting himself disqualified this week or will he be made to regret his actions from last week by The Dead-Man?

There was some controversy in the World Tag Team title match between Rey Mysterio & Mystico & The Epitome of Excellence. Christopher Daniels & Kaval were able to beat the champions but only by DQ when Mystico hit Daniels with one of their title belts that Kaval brought into the ring. Given how the challengers have felt cheated out of the titles even before Sunday night, their frustration is bound to be off the scale now. They will have the chance to take it out on Team Omega this evening live on Raw. Will Matt Hardy & Gregory Helms be able to take advantage of their opponentís frustration and put themselves in title contention?

We also heard Eric Bischoff say last night that he plans to make an announcement tonight that will make history. He wouldnít say anymore but we donít have to wait too long to find out what it is he has in mind. Just what does he plan to say that will make history?

It promises to be an exciting night tonight in Hershey in the penultimate Raw of 2008. Make sure you tune in to find out what Bischoffís bombshell is and more as we head towards the 2009 Royal Rumble!

Confirmed for Raw tonight!

Womenís Championship

Kelly Kelly vs. Queen Kong (c)

Non-Title Match
The Undertaker vs. Sheamus

Team Omega
vs. The Epitome of Excellence

*Video Recap*
From Night of Champions last night!

Punk gets back up too, walking right into an irish whip and he manages to grab onto the top rope. He holds onto them and Cena runs at him, into a raised boot from Punk who steps out to nail him with a THUNDEROUS ROUNDHOUSE KICK!!!. . . . . Cena falls in a heap and Punk goes for the cover, dropping to his knees and hooking both legs as Stephanie takes her time making her away across to make the count. . . . .

1. . . . .

. . . . .

2. . . . .

. . . . .

_____________________________________________

Eric Bischoff
is standing in the middle of the ring with a microphone in hand looking very pleased with himself, ready to address the crowd with ďBack in BlackĒ playing but it comes to a stop, allowing the Head of Authority to speak.

Eric Bischoff:
Iíd like to welcome you all to what it is the penultimate Raw of 2008 aní I can promise you that weíre going to end the year with a bang, but tínight I am going tí make a huge announcement thatís going to make history, not this year however but next year. Iíll make that announcement later on aní I assure you itís worth waiting for. It doesnít just affect the superstars here on Raw but Smackdown too, and Iíve made sure that theyíre going tí tune in like all of you aní the fans around the world tí find out just what it is I plan tí say, aní believe me itís going tí be huge. Itís something thatís never been done in the histíry of this company, but yours truly is once again going tí make histíry.

Bischoff looks into the crowd, still looking very pleased with himself.

Eric Bischoff:
Fí now Iíll leave it at that so we can get on with the show. I have been told that Batista also has something he wants tí say tínight aní heíll be out here later tí speak to all of you but right now itís time tí do what we do best. Itís time tí get the action started.

Bischoff turns and looks up to the stage.

ďListen, this ainít no make believe. . .Ē

A big pop breaks out as a fired-up John Morrison walks out to the stage, stopping & posing in slow motion before heading off down the ramp into the ring, shaking hands with Bischoff. The Head of Authority leaves the ring and Morrison hits the corner, posing for the cheering fans on the second rope.

ďOh RadioĒ

A smug Zack Ryder strolls out to the stage to heat from the crowd, not looking impressed by them at all as he walks down the ramp, staring in Morrisonís direction, and The Monday Night Delight stares right back at him, ready for action.

*Match #1*
John Morrison vs. Zack Ryder

Morrison started on fire but itís Ryder who finds himself in the driving seat, dodging a springboard enzuigiri and taking The Monday Night Delight down with a SWINGING NECK-BREAKER!!. . . . . The Long Island Loudmouth wastes no time in scurrying across on his hands & knees to make the cover. . . . .

1. . . . .

2. . . . .

Morrison gets his shoulder up and Ryder isnít best pleased, showing some frustration as he stands back up and back tracks across the mat with his sights set on JoMo. Morrison sits back up, struggling slightly to make it back up to his feet with Ryder ready to pounce, and he does, charging across the ring for the ROUGH RYDER!!!. . . . . No, Morrison ducks it and takes Ryderís head off with a thunderous SUPER KICK!!!. . . . . Ryderís flat on his back and Morrison drags him by the arm towards the corner, and with Ryder motionless he races up to the top rope. The fans cheer as he reaches the summit and Morrison jumps off, coming down on Ryder for STAR-SHIP PAIN!!!. . . . . He hits it and reaches to the side to make the cover. . . . .

1. . . . .

2. . . . .

. . . . . 3!

A big pop breaks out in the stands as Morrison gets up to get his arm raised by the referee and he heads over to the corner again, climbing up to the second rope, celebrating with the cheering fans. He steps down and heads off into the opposite corner to do the same with Ryder sitting up, not looking at all happy. Morrison soaks up the ovation from the fans, but as he jumps down and turns round, Ryder runs at him and takes him down with a clothesline.

The fans boo the hell out of the Long Islander as he puts the boots to Morrison, stomping all over him with real anger. Just as he did minutes ago, he steps away from Morrison, stalking him for the Rough Ryder. The Long Islander stares across angrily, urging Morrison up, but another pop comes from the crowd as Justin Gabriel runs down the ramp and slides into the ring.

Ryder only sees him at the last minute and runs at him instead, but Gabriel ducks and Ryder hits the ropes. Gabriel turns round and charges at him, clotheslining Ryder over the top and out of the ring. The fans cheer again as Ryder hits the floor and Gabriel helps Morrison up to his feet, both staring at Ryder as he stands up, staring back at them shaking his head as ďThis Ainít No Make BelieveĒ plays again.

Winner: John Morrison by pinfall.

Jim Ross:
Once again King, Zack Ryder showed heís a bad loser, but thankfully Justin Gabriel didnít let him do tí John Morrison what heís done tí him recently.

Jerry Lawler: Ryderís a complete douche J-R. He got what he deserved tínight from Justin Gabriel, aní itís been a long time cominí.

Jim Ross: Well King, someone else who might get whatís coming to him tínight is the Intercontinental Champion Sheamus. Last night he successfully defended his title against Kofi Kingston, but last week he was in a match with The Undertaker aní got himself disqualified. He mightíve thought he got away with that but tínight he meets The Dead-Man again, aní after what he did last week you wouldnít wanna be in his shoes when he steps inside the squared circle with the phenom.

Jerry Lawler: Youíre absolutely right J-R. One other personís shoes I wouldnít wanna be in tínight are Kelly Kellyís. She might have a shot at the womenís title but that means she has tí get in the ring with the new Womenís Champion, Queen Kong.

Jim Ross: I donít envy Kelly either King. Queen Kong has been nothing short of dominant since coming tí Raw not so long ago aní last night she defeated Melina, cracking Melinaís ribs in the process to become the new Womenís Champion. Tí cut a long story short, Kelly Kelly could be in a world of trouble later on.

Jerry Lawler: No doubt about that J-R but did you hear what Eric Bischoff said before about his histíry making announcement? What dí yíthink thatís about?

Jim Ross: Iíve no idea. When it comes to Eric Bischoff you donít know what he has up his sleeve but I sure canít wait tí find out what it is he plans to announce later on. He however isnít the only one who has something tí say tínight. You heard it from Bischoff too moments ago that ĎThe Animalí Batista will come out here later this evening. We heard earlier tíday that there was something he planned tí say aní I wonder if it has anything tí do with his three stages of hell match from last night where he lost tí Triple H who after last night remains the WWE Champion.

Jerry Lawler: It was a brutal match we saw last night J-R. I canít help but think heís picked up some kind of injury or something like that but weíll find out soon enough I guess.

Jim Ross: That could well be the case King aní since weíre on the subject of last night, what a show it was. We saw three new champions crowned including a very controversial title change on the Smackdown side of things where John Cena defeated CM Punk tí become the new World Heavyweight Champion with a very large assist from Stephanie McMahon-Helmlsey.

Jerry Lawler: A large assist? She handed it to him on a plate. I dread tí think what CM Punkís going tí say on Smackdown this week.

Jim Ross: Well Punkís not been shy until now, one can only imagine what heíll say Friday night but Punk wasnít the only one involved in a controversial decision at Night of Champions. The Epitome of Excellence, Christopher Daniels aní Kaval havenít been shy either about how they feel they should be the World Tag Team Champions, aní last night they had a one-on-one shot against Rey Mysterio aní Mystico, aní once again they came away empty handed.

Jerry Lawler: Well J-R, I have to admit Iíve felt sorry for them in the past. They kind of had a point as far as the tournament went. They were the only team to win their way through to the final, but last night they were the ones that brought the belt into the ring. It mightíve been Mystico who used it but they were the ones who brought it into the ring. They canít really have a lot to complain about as far as that one goes.

Jim Ross: Iím sure theyíll see it diffírently King aní weíll see them tínight because theyíll be in action against Team Omega, Matt Hardy aní Gregory Helms in what wonít be an easy match fí them off the back of last night. They might well lose their undefeated streak here tínight in Hershey, Pennsylvania. . . Someone else in action tínight King is The Big Show when he goes one-on-one with The Miz. That I will look forward too.

Cody Rhodes & Joe Hennig are shown walking through the back, seemingly headed for the ring, both in their ring gear and looking very focused.

Jim Ross:
It looks like King weíre going tí be joined by Cody Rhodes aní Joe Hennig. Weíll find out what they have tí say when we come back. Donít go anywhere folks. Weíll be back in a few moments.

*Commercial Break*

ďOut To KillĒ

Cody Rhodes & Joe Hennig
casually walk out into the arena to a chorus of boos from the Hershey crowd. They continue to boo the duo as they make their way down to the ring, and as they step inside, Cody walks over to the opposite side to collect a microphone. His music cuts, allowing him to speak with the fans still booing, not going down well with Cody who waits for them to pipe down.

Cody Rhodes:
As of this moment our World Tag Team Champions find themselves without number one contenders. Last night the now former number one contenders failed to get the job done, meaning that Rey Mysterio aní Mystico need new challengers. It goes without saying that there is no one more deserving than myself aní Joe.

*Heat*

Cody Rhodes:
Simply we have evírything going for us. Aside from our obvious talent, we have a legacy like no other. We were born to succeed in this business. Our fathers are both in the Hall of Fame and one day weíll be there too as the greatest tag team in WWE history.

*More Heat*

ďI spit in the face of people who donít want tí be cool. . .Ē

A decent pop breaks out and The Colon Brothers, Carlito & Eddie hit the stage with Carlito holding a microphone, and he holds his hand up, asking for his music to be cut, and it is, but Cody doesnít look happy at all in the ring with the interruption.

Cody Rhodes:
Forgive me fí being rude, but how dare you interrupt me.

Carlito: As it happens Cody, thereís a reason weíre out here. Basically we heard what ju just said aní thereís something we waníed tí say too tí you aní your pretty little boyfriend.

The crowd laugh but Cody & Hennig arenít amused in the least.

Carlito:
Hey look, thereís another team who waní a shot at the tag team titles, aní like you, our fatherís in the Hall of Fame too. What ju gotta say about dat Cody?

Cody Rhodes: Well actually there is one thing I have tí say about that, well ask. Who exactly is your father?

Thereís an intake of breath from the fans as Cody looks up intently at Carlito & Eddie, and they donít look at all impressed with him & his big mouth.

Cody Rhodes:
Iím kidding of course. I know who you are father is. Well more I was told when I asked who on earth he was when he was inducted in the first place and I know that Iím not the only one who wasnít sure who he was. In fact Iím sure most of these people donít know who he is either so Iíll tell them. Basically heís some guy from. . . what country is it? I think it was Puerto Rico right? Anyway it doesnít matter, no one knows who cares about him or what country heís from. All I care about is itís a joke heís in the Hall of Fame, just like you two thinking you deserve a shot at the tag titles, let alone being out here with someone whose fathers have actually accomplished something and deserve tí be in the Hall of Fame.

*Heat*

Carlito:
Huh. Ju can talk about our father all ju want but weíre proud of him aní what heís done fí us aní evíryone back home in Puerto Rico, aní ju two, youíre not as special as ju think.

Cody Rhodes: Thatís funny, but if you actually believe that. . .

Carlito: . . . We do, aní thereís a way tí prove it, if ju got the guts dat is. How about ju aní me have a match. . . right now?

*Pop*

Cody Rhodes:
You want a match with me?

Cody laughs with Hennig before looking back up at Carlito & Eddie.

Cody Rhodes:
Thatís one of the funniest things Iíve heard in a long time. Youíre on.

Cody heads back across the apron and hands the microphone back to Lilian Garcia as a referee walks past The Colon Brothers, and Carlito places his microphone on the stage and heads down the ramp with his brother, staring right at the smug Cody.

*Match #2*
Carlito w/Eddie Colon
vs. Cody Rhodes w/Joe Hennig

Itís been an even battle all the way and itís still that way as both men pick themselves back up with Cody firing Carlito into the ropes, but as the Puerto Rican comes back he flips over Cody and sends him spiralling into the canvas with an OVERDRIVE!!!. . . . . The fans cheer and count along with the referee as Carlito hooks Codyís leg. . . . .

1. . . . .

2. . . . .

No! Cody gets a shoulder up and Carlito takes it on the chin, standing back up and running into the ropes for a SPRINGBOARD MOONSAULT!!. . . . . But no, Cody rolls forward. Carlito does well to react and lands on his feet as Cody makes his way back up. Cody turns round and Carlito leaps up into the air for a HURRICANRANA!!!. . . . . He takes Cody down and holds on for a cover. . . . .

1. . . . .

2. . . . .

No, kick out from Cody. The fans & Eddie are left disappointed as both men hurry back up to their feet with Carlito running past Cody into the ropes, jumping up onto the second rope for a SPRINGBOARD BACK ELBOW SMASH!!. . . . . Cody counters though with a PERFECT STANDING DROPKICK TO THE BACK OF CARLITO!!. . . . . Cody sits up looking very focused as he crawls across to turn Carlito over and go for a cover. . . . .

1. . . . .

2. . . . .

Kick out from Carlito and Rhodes isnít happy. He picks himself back up and brings Carlito with him, setting up for a DDT!!. . . . . Cody stares into the crowd, wasting some time in the process and giving Carlito the chance to force him back into the pads. The Puerto Rican escapes his opponentís clutches and Cody staggers out into his path and a SINGLE ARM DDT!!. . . . . Cody got drilled and heís not moving. Carlito goes right for the cover, turning him over and hooking the leg with the fans again counting along with the ref. . . . .

1. . . . .

2. . . . .

. . . . . NO!

Cody just gets his shoulder up and Carlito canít believe it, looking stunned, as does Eddie on the outside. Carlito grudgingly stands back up and watches Cody as he struggles his way back up. Hennig panics and jumps up onto the apron, not going down well with Carlito. He walks across the mat with the referee, both getting into it with Hennig as Cody makes it back up. Carlito turns back as the ref deals with Hennig, but Cody runs right at Carlito.

The Puerto Rican sees him coming and steps to the side with Cody just about putting on the brakes before running into his partner. Eddie runs round on the outside as Carlito slips behind a relieved Cody to hit the BACK-STABBER!!!. . . . . The fans cheer as Eddie pulls Hennig off the apron and knocks him to the floor as his brother on the inside pulls Cody away from the ropes and hooks both legs for the cover. . . . .

1. . . . .

2. . . . .

. . . . . 3!

ďCoolĒ hits again and Eddie joins his brother in the ring, both enjoying his victory as Cody rolls to the outside, and as both he & Hennig sit up, they donít look pleased to see The Colons enjoying Carlitoís victory and the Puerto Rican duo laughing at them, infuriating Rhodes & Hennig.

Winner: Carlito by pinfall.

Jim Ross:
I think Cody mightíve learned a lesson tínight King that maybe he should think twice before opening that big mouth of his.

Jerry Lawler: Heís got quite the ego has Cody aní itís taken a knock tínight J-R, but what a good win this is for Carlito. He sure made his point alright.

From Night of Champions last night!

Kofi gets ready to strike again, not showing the same enthusiasm as before, still looking disappointed from moments ago as the dazed Intercontinental Champion turns around and steps away from the ropes. Kofi goes right for him, jumping up for the TROUBLE IN PARADISE ONE MORE TIME. . . . . NO, SHEAMUS DUCKS IT AND COUNTERS WITH THE BROGUE KICK!!!. . . . . Kofi drops to the mat and the intense Irishman doesnít hang around in making a cover, dropping to his knees and hooking both legs as the ref makes the count. . . . .

1. . . . .

2. . . . .

. . . . .

. . . . . 3!

ďWritten In My FaceĒ hits and the Intercontinental Champion stands back up smugly, getting his title passed to him and his hand raised, standing there lifting his title up into the air, banging his chest intensely before leaving the ring. He heads back up the ramp smirking at the fans, but heís passed on his way back up by Kofiís brother, Jay who heads straight into the ring as Kofi sits up, looking right at him with starry eyes. Jay stands there staring at him and starts to laugh at seeing his brother sitting up, still groggy after the Brogue Kick. He then smirks at his brother and nails him with a swift kick to the face.

The fans boo the hell out of him as he drops to his knees and starts pummelling his brother with a series of hard right hands to the face. The boos get even louder and there are chants of ďYou SuckĒ as he continues nailing Kofi, but a series of officials join the referee in trying to drag him away, and they do with Jay agreeing to back off, and he does, staring with serious anger at his battered brother as he leaves the ring and heads back up the ramp with the officials following and some of them checking on Kofi.

_____________________________________________

Jay, Kofi Kingstonís brother walks out to the stage and stops, getting boos thrown at him from the fans, not that he looks bothered as he heads down to the ring. The boos continue as he enters the ring and collects a microphone, staring into the crowd with something clearly on his mind that he wants to get out of his system.

Jay:
Last night my brother got exactly what he deserved. He got what heís deserved fí a long long time aní I loved evíry minute of it.

*Heat*

Jay:
I donít just mean what I did after he lost but the fact he lost aní didnít get the Intercontinental title back. I was backstage watching the match like all of you but I was praying fí something diffírent tí you people. The thought of Kofi being a champion again made me sick, but thankfully he lost.

*Heat*

Jay:
You can boo me all you want but Kofi got what he deserved for walking out on his family all those years ago. He walked out on me, but more importantly he walked out on our mother, leaving her without having the guts tí say goodbye. Thatís why Iím glad he lost last night aní I donít regret what I did. Iíve waited a long time tí do what I did aní Iím not sorry one bit. You all might like Kofi but the fact is heís selfish, heís gutless aní deep down he knows i. . .

ďS.O.S.Ē

A massive roar breaks out and Kofi Kingston walks out into the arena, not in a good mood at all as he stomps down the ramp, eyes fixed firmly on his brother who stares right back at him. Kofi steps inside and shrugs his way past Jay to get a microphone, then turns back staring angrily at him.

Kofi Kingston:
You done?

Jay: Not by a long shot. Iíve waited a long time tí say. . .

Kofi Kingston: . . . No, Iím telliní yíJay, youíre done. . . You wanna know somethiní? I was gonna take this with me to my grave, but since youíre hell bent on makiní my life hell I think itís time I told you the truth. . . See all this time you thought I walked out on you, on mom, I didnít.

Jay: What you talkiní about? You know what yídid.

Kofi Kingston: Yeah I do, aní so does mom, only what sheís told you all these years isnít what actually happened. Yeah I mightíve left without telliní you but mom, she knew aní she gave me her blessing. It was my. . .

Jay: . . .Yeah right. Donít you think youíve lied enough?

Kofi Kingston: Itís the truth. It was my idea not tí tell you. That way youíd be pissed me aní not mom. I didnít want you blaminí mom fí me leaviní. I didnít want you hatiní her. It wasnít fair on her, but me. With me gone it didnít matter how much you hated me. Iím not gonna stand here aní say I feel good about what I did but I had a chance tí do what Iíve always waníed tí do, what you knew I always waníed tí do when I grew up, aní here I am. Do I regret what happened? Damn right. Do I regret cominí here? Hell no.

*Pop*

Kofi Kingston: This is what Iíve waníed fí so long. You know that better than anyone bro. . .

Jay: . . . HEY, first off, donít call me bro, aní donít think I canít see what youíre doiní. You might be able tí fool these people but you canít fool me. I know youíre a liar Ďcause thatís what youíve been doiní since you walked out on us. You people need to realise what heís really like. Heís not the person you think he is. Heís nothing but a lying bitch.

Kofi Kingston: Yíknow what? Iíve told you the truth. If you donít wanna believe it, thatís your problem not mine.

Jay: My problem huh? My problemís you. My problemís trusting you, believing you. Iíll never be able tí trust you again. I hate you fí what you did, aní even if you did tell mom you still walked out on me, your little brother, without a care in the world aní Iíll always hate you fí that. Iíve hated your guts from that very day when I wondered why you hadnít come home aní I still hate you now. I hated you so much I changed my surname so I donít have tí share yours, Ďan from that day, you know what I promised myself? I said tí myself that one day Iím gonna make you pay fí what you did, aní when I saw you on ECW aní then on Raw, you wanna know what I did? I learned tí wrestle too so one day I could come here aní beat you in the middle of this ring, not just how I did last night but beat you one two three.

*Heat*

Kofi Kingston: You might have it all planned out but thereís one thing you didnít think about. . . Iím not gonna fight you.

*Boos*

Jay: Is that right? Let me see if I can change your mind.

Jay gets right up close to Kofi, getting right in his face, talking smack and he spits in his face. The crowd canít believe it and boo him as Kofi wipes the saliva from his face. Kofi looks stunned and gets real angry with Jay staring right at him without an ounce of regret, and it looks like Kofiís about to punch him, but he stops himself and turns away. Jay looks furious and jumps on his brotherís back, clubbing him down to the mat and he keeps on pummelling to a ton of heat from the Pennsylvanian crowd. He backs away as Kofi sits up, struggling to make it back up before Jay nails him with the Trouble in Paradise, getting even more heat. He coldly stares down at his brother lying there before turning round and heading back up the ramp with the fans booing the hell out of him.

Jerry Lawler:
I think Kofiís got a real problem here J-R. As much as he doesnít wanna fight his brother, I donít think heís got much choice. Jay wants tí fight him so bad he wonít stop until heís done it.

Jim Ross: I agree King but I donít know if Kofi will let himself get bullied into it. All we can do is wait aní see.

*Commercial Break*

Kofi Kingston & Jay
are being held apart in the back by a group of officials with Kofi desperate to get at his brother with Jay taunting him when Eric Bischoff walks into the shot.

Eric Bischoff:
HEY, break it up, now.

The officials ease up on them and they listen to Bischoff, still staring at each other though.

Eric Bischoff:
This has got tí stop aní Iím sure as hell not gonna let this happen evíry week. The way I see it thereís only way weíre gonna settle this, aní I heard what yísaid Kofi but thereís no way round it. You will have tí fight him, in the ring, at the Royal Rumble, aní just tí make it a bit more intíresting, the winner will get a spot in the rumble match. Now get them the hell out of here before thereís any more trouble.

Security do as theyíre told and escort them out of the building with Bischoff watching, making sure they leave the arena.

From Last Week!

Brooklyn Streetfight
JTG vs. Homicide

JTG shocked everyone, especially Homicide by fighting through the pain. He was at the mercy of his former rookie who set up a table on the outside, putting JTG on it before climbing back on the apron, setting himself up for a frog splash. JTG got the fans going when he sat up just at the right time and stepped off the table as Homicide went crashing through it. To the shock of many, Homicide kicked out in amongst the wreckage, leaving JTG stunned & frustrated. As the match was then coming to a close, JTG was in the driving seat having rolled Homicide back in the ring. Homicide crawled across the mat as JTG once again picked up the baseball bat, not seeing Homicide grab a steel chair, keeping it close to his body.

As he then dragged himself back up, he hid the chair out of JTGís sight who was getting ready to strike with the bat, but as he stepped into his opponentís path, Homicide smashed him in the skull with the chair. The fans werenít happy but Homicide was, staring down with no remorse at all at seeing JTG flat on his back. He then threw the chair down before dragging his former mentor back up, up into place for the Gringo Killer, a back-to-back double under-hook piledriver, driving JTGís head into the steel chair on the mat. JTG was out of it and the incredibly determined Homicide made the cover, gaining the biggest win in his WWE career. He didnít show any sign of satisfaction at the bell, just staring down at JTG with contempt before eventually leaving the ring with the majority of the crowd booing him back up the ramp.

*Match #3*
Eugene w/Goldust
vs. Homicide

Eugeneís not really had a look in but heís got a chance now having avoided the Frog Splash. He & Homicide pick themselves back up and Homicide whips Eugene into the ropes. He ducks his head as Eugene comes running back to kick him square in the head. Homicideís head snaps back up and Eugene lifts him up off his feet onto his shoulders for an AIR-PLANE SPIN!!. . . . . The fans cheer as he spins the New Yorker round, making them both dizzy before dropping Homicide on the mat.

Heís not down for long though as both men shake off the dizziness, and Eugene looks to keep the momentum going by grabbing his opponent by the head. He runs into the corner and connects with the BATTERING RAM!!. . . . . Again the fans cheer as Homicide hits the deck and rolls away from the corner. Eugene though climbs up to the top rope, watching as Homicide claws his way back up, turning round into a DOUBLE AXE HANDLE FROM EUGENE!!. . . . . The fans are loving it and he looks to wrap up the win, going for a cover and the ref rushes across the ring to make the count. . . . .

1. . . . .

2. . . . .

No! Homicide gets his shoulder up and Eugene canít believe it, looking devastated as he looks in desperation at the referee. He gets told it was two and is left with no choice but to stand back up, and Homicide isnít far behind him. As Eugene tries to help him up, Homicide drives his fist into Eugeneís gut. He jumps back up and goes for an irish whip, but Eugene reverses it, only as Homicide comes racing back he takes him down with the WEST BROOKLYN LARIAT!!. . . . . Homicide means business, glaring intently at Eugene as he slowly sits up.

He drags him back up to his feet and whips him into the corner, then runs in at speed and drives his boot into Eugeneís kisser for a FACE-WASH!!. . . . . Eugene falls forward, flat on his face with Homicide showing no emotion whatsoever. He wastes no time at all in dragging him up off the mat and into the centre of the ring, setting him up for the GRINGO KILLA, A BACK-TO-BACK DOUBLE UNDER-HOOK PILE-DRIVER!!!. . . . . He stares into the crowd, all business as he drops to the mat, driving Eugeneís head into it before going for the cover. . . . .

1. . . . .

2. . . . .

. . . . . 3!

Homicide gets the win and his music hits, still not showing much emotion as he gets his arm raised, staring blankly into the crowd before leaving the ring, heading back up the ramp with a job well done as Goldust slips in the ring to check on his partner.

Winner: Homicide by pinfall.

Jim Ross:
This Homicide sure as hell is making an impression as of late. He means business King.

Jerry Lawler: Heís all business, no doubt about that J-R aní I sure wouldnít wanna mess with him.

Leticia Cline is standing by backstage at the interview set.

Leticia Cline:
Please welcome my guest at this time, The Miz.

The camera zooms out and shows The Miz standing there next to Leticia, and heís not looking in one of his better moods at all.

Leticia Cline:
Miz, in a few moments youíll be going one-on-one with The Big Show. What are your thoughts going into the match with The Worldís Largest Athlete?

The Miz: Really? What are my thoughts? First of all I think the whole world knows I shouldíve been at Night of Champions in my hometown last night competing fí gold evíryone knows I deserve. Evíry week I make evíryone stand up aní take notice of the superstar that I am. Thereís no one in this company that is a big a star as me. You go to Hollywood aní evíryone knows The Miz, but instead I donít have a damn match. Do you have any idea how embarrassing that was? I was in my hometown of Cleveland where evíryone was expecting tí see me steal the show like only I can but I was made tí look like a joke, like a nobody, like all those people sat out there right now. Aní if thatís not enough, tínight I have tí wrestle a big freak in a town full of freaks, but yíknow what Leticia? I can see the light at the end of the tunnel. In four weeks thereís the Royal Rumble aní we all know what happens if you win the Royal Rumble. You go onto headline WrestleMania tí fight for the world title aní no one deserves that more than The Miz, then Leticia I will be a champion, the champion of the world.

Miz stares intently into the camera and it eventually fades out as we go to commercial.

*Match #4*
The Big Show vs. The Miz

The Miz has toughed it out and finds himself with an opportunity after dodging a leg drop from The Worldís Largest Athlete. They both make their way up to their feet with Miz backing up into the corner, and looking very focused and eager to make up for the failed leg drop, Show runs in at him. Miz again though dodges the attack and steps out of the corner as Show runs into the pads with force.

He staggers out of the corner and Miz races up to the top rope, eyes locked on Show and he jumps off, connecting with a MISSILE DROPKICK!!. . . . . Itís just about enough to put the big man down, but not for long. Miz goes back to work, knowing he has work to do and again hits the ropes, the second rope where he hits Show with a LEG DROP BULLDOG!!. . . . . Showís face hits the canvas and Miz uses a lot of his energy to turn the giant over onto his back so he can make the cover. . . . .

1. . . . .

2. . . . .

Show kicks out comfortably but Miz is in the zone, standing up and getting ready to seal the deal, urging Show up for the SKULL CRUSHING FINALE!!!. . . . . The fans boo and try to warn the giant as he picks himself back up, but Miz struggles to get him in position, allowing Show the chance to slip out of his opponentís clutches. Miz isnít happy and he swings wildly at Show, but Show blocks it and headbutts his opponent down to the mat.

It draws some cheers from the fans, and as Mr. Hollywood makes his way back up, Show grabs him around the throat and sets him up for a CHOKE-SLAM!!!. . . . . The fans get excited but Miz fights back, stomping Show in the gut, forcing him to let go. Miz turns back and runs the ropes, comes racing back at Show, running right into a KNOCKOUT PUNCH!!!. . . . . Miz is out of it, flat on his back and Show drops to his knees with the fans cheering again to make the cover. . . . .

1. . . . .

2. . . . .

. . . . . 3!

Itís over and The Big Show stands up to a large pop from the Hershey crowd, getting his arm raised by the referee before walking over to the ropes and posing for the fans looking very happy indeed at the victory.

Winner: The Big Show by pinfall.

Jim Ross:
Well The Miz might notíve delivered tínight King but The Big Show did, aní with the Royal Rumble coming up, who on earth is going tí be able tí stop him going onto WrestleMania?

Jerry Lawler: I donít know J-R. Getting him over the top rope isnít going tí be easy fí anyone. If you have tí ask me who the favourite is for the Rumble right now, youíre looking at him right there, The Big Show.

Todd Grisham is standing by in the back outside Sheamusís locker room.

Todd Grisham:
Later on tínight the Intercontinental Champion Sheamus will go one-on-one with The Undertaker in a non-title match. Last night he was able to retain his title against Kofi Kingston aní I came here tí get a few words with him.

Todd knocks on the door and waits for a response, and he doesnít have to wait long as the Intercontinental Champion, Sheamus opens the door and steps out, seeming to be fairly relaxed.

Sheamus:
Todd, what can I do for yífella?

Todd Grisham: I was just hoping to ask you a few questions if thatís alright?

Sheamus: Sure, no problem.

Sheamus lets the door shut behind him, giving Todd his full attention.

Sheamus:
So what you wanna ask me fella?

Todd Grisham: Firstly, congratulations on your victíry last night in retaining the Intercontinental title. . .

Sheamus: . . . Todd, that was never in question. I was always gonna beat Kofi aní I proved that de win he got against me was a fluke, just like I said it was ever since it happened. Dare were some people stupid enough tí doubt me but I proved Ďem all wrong, aní never again will I be pinned or beaten full stop.

Todd Grisham: Well thatís a strong statement, especially considering that tínight youíll be taking on The Undertaker, a man you lost to, albeit by disqualification last week, aní some people are saying that you took the easy way out to avoid another defeat.

Sheamus: People can say what dey want. De fact is I had a big title defence at Night of Champions. I wasnít gonna jeopardise my chances, but what happened happened in the blink of an eye. I never meant tí get disqualified aní datís de truth. Fí dose people who donít believe me, Iím gonna prove Ďem wrong tínight like I proved Ďem wrong last night when I beat Kofi by beating de dead-man one two tíree.

Sheamus looks down the camera meaning every word and turns back, going back into his locker room.

Kelly Kelly is shown making her way through the back, ready for action when she takes on Queen Kong for the Womenís Championship when we come back after the break.

Sheís in trouble and Kong has her at her mercy, dragging her back up and setting her up for a POWER-BOMB!!!. . . . . Kong stares coldly into the crowd before lifting the champion up above her head and sending her crashing into the canvas.

Itís almost silent in the arena as the fans watch helplessly with Melina flat on her back, but Kongís not satisfied, staring down at Melina and she drags her towards the corner, once again climbing up to the second rope with the fans looking really worried for Melinaís well being, and they have every right to. Kong takes her time and then dives off the ropes, landing on Melinaís chest with a DIVING SPLASH!!!. . . . . Melinaís done and the fans know it as Kong makes the cover. . . . .

The new Womenís Champion stands up and grabs the title from him, staring at it before lifting it onto her shoulder. She again stares scarily into the stands with her music playing and Melina still not moving with the referee going to check on her as Kong turns her head, looking over with no remorse whatsoever and the title now in her possession as Melina tries to sit up holding her ribs.

*Match #5*
WWE Womenís Championship
Kelly Kelly vs. Queen Kong (c)

The new Womenís Champion has been nothing short of dominant and Kelly is in a whole world of trouble as Kong just watches her struggle back up to her feet. Kong menacingly walks towards her and pulls her up from her knees and sends her into the turnbuckle pads with force. Kelly slumps against the pads as Kong takes her time before running in at her and squashing her with a BODY AVALANCHE!!. . . . .

Kelly falls flat on her face and Kong shows no compassion for her whatsoever, calmly dragging her a couple of feet out of the corner before climbing up to the second rope with Kelly motionless in front of her. The fans look worried as Kelly lies there on her front with Kong on the second rope, and the Womenís Champion dives off, landing on Kelly Ďs back for a DIVING SPLASH!!!. . . . . The fans look really concerned for Kelly as the intense Kong turns her over and makes the inevitable cover. . . . .

1. . . . .

2. . . . .

. . . . . 3!

Kongís music hits as she takes her time standing back up, still showing no emotion as sheís passed her womenís title by the referee, not letting him raise her hand. She scares the referee off in a hurry and she turns her head to see Kelly ever so slightly lifting her head up off the mat. The menacing behemoth drops her title and slowly walks towards her fallen opponent, causing more concern for the fans. She reaches down and drags Kelly up off the mat, dragging her into the centre of the ring and setting her up between her legs.

Kong stares coldly into the stands before lifting Kelly up above her head before planting her with a SIT-OUT POWER-BOMB!!!. . . . . The fans boo the Womenís Champion loudly as she lets go of Kellyís legs, staring menacingly at her for several seconds before slowly standing back up and grabbing her title. Her music hits again as she stares into the stands with the fans continuing to boo the unstoppable monster.

Winner: Queen Kong by pinfall.

Jim Ross:
Iíve seen some dominant females in my time King but I donít think any of them compare to Kong. I donít think anybody will be able tí stop this woman.

Jerry Lawler: I donít think many of the guys in the locker room would be able tí stop her either J-R. I know I wouldnít want tí get in the ring with her. She scares the hell out of me. God knows what the rest of the divas must be thinking watching her. I think Iíd want tí go tí Smackdown.

Jim Ross: Youíre not the only one. This woman is taking the diva division by storm aní destroying evíryone in sight.

*Video Recap*
From Night of Champions last night!

*Match #6*
Team Omega w/Shannon Moore
vs. The Epitome of Excellence

With Rey Mysterio & Mystico watching at ringside from the announce table, Daniels & Kaval have had their attention taken away from their opponents. Clearly still angry from last night, frustration starts to get the better of Daniels as he looks on in shock at Helms getting his shoulder up after the BME! He stands up and gets into it with the referee, sure heís been cheated out of a three count. He doesnít see Helms sitting back up and using the ropes to help get back up.

He turns round and sees Helms in the corner, then runs in at him, but Helms turns to the side and drives his elbow into his face, sending Daniels staggering away from the corner. The fans get behind Helms as he climbs up to the rope, eyes fixed firmly on Daniels, and as he turns round he springs into action and off the ropes for a FROG SPLASH INTO A DIVING CROSS BODY!!. . . . . Helms forces Daniels into the mat and holds on for the cover. . . . .

1. . . . .

2. . . . .

No! Daniels kicks out and both men hurry back up to their feet with Hardy & Kaval watching on intently from the apron. Daniels reverses an irish whip and sends Helms into the ropes, but he flies under an outstretched arm as he boucnes back. The pissed Daniels turns round as Helms comes back again, colliding as they take each other down with a double clothesline. The fans encourage Helms to tag in Hardy as both men crawl towards their respective corners, both making the tag to their partners. Matt & Kaval fly into action, Matt ducking a wild clothesline and taking Kaval down with a SIDE EFFECT!!. . . . .

The fans are right behind Matt as he brings Kaval up with him, firing him into the corner and running in at him, nailing him with a clothesline. He holds onto Kavalís head and turns round, running out of the corner to plant him with a BULLDOG!!. . . . . Itís getting pretty damn loud in here as Matt stands back up and heads over to the corner, pulling himself up to the second rope. The fans continue to cheer as Matt sizes up Kaval before stepping off the ropes for a DIVING LEG DROP!!. . . . . He hits it and wastes no time in going for the cover. . . . .

1. . . . .

2. . . . .

. . . . .

No! Kaval gets his shoulder up and Matt looks gutted. He quickly shakes it off with the fans still cheering and gets back up, stalking the squirming Kaval for the TWIST OF FATE!!!. . . . . Daniels stands back up and sees the danger as his partner sits up. He races through the ropes and into the ring, running right at Hardy, but Matt sidesteps him and takes him down with a RUSSIAN LEG-SWEEP!!. . . . .

With Daniels down, Matt stands back up to a pop, but he makes a mistake in looking down at Daniels, giving Kaval the chance to run past him into the ropes and jump onto the second rope for the TIDAL WAVE, A SPRING-BOARD ROUNDHOUSE KICK!!!. . . . . Matt falls back to the mat and Kaval scurries across to hook both legs for the cover. . . . .

1. . . . .

2. . . . .

. . . . . 3!

Helms looks shocked on the apron as Matt rolls out under the bottom rope with Kaval standing up to get his arm raised. With their music playing, Kaval gives Daniels a helping hand up off the mat, but he too doesnít look all that happy despite their victory. Daniels looks over at the announce table and the tag team champions, then walks over to the apron and asks for a microphone, getting one and still looking very angry.

Winners: The Epitome of Excellence by pinfall.

Christopher Daniels: I donít need tí tell anyone how much of a joke this is becoming. Yet again we stand here having been cheated out of the tag team titles.

*Heat*

Christopher Daniels: First there was the tournament where only we won the right to compete for the titles, then at Survivor Series we forced to compete against two other teams who hadnít won all their matches like we did.

The unhappy Daniels turns round, turning his attention to Mysterio & Mystico.

Christopher Daniels:
And then there was last night. We beat the champions you see sat there. We won the match, but you donít need us tí tell you that do you?. . . Up Ďtil now weíve played nice up aní trust me, itís best fí you if you do the right thing tí keep it that way by giving us the rematch we deserve, because I promise you this, weíll get one one way or another. . . mark my words.

Daniels drops the mic and both he & Kaval stare intently at the World Tag Team Champions who look back at them, not sure what to make of their rivalsí statement.

íThe Animalí Batista, not looking his usual self, fairly low key is shown walking through the back, headed for the ring and his announcement coming up after the break.

ďIn The EndĒ

The fans almost blow the roof off the joint as a low key Batista strolls out to the stage in his casual clothes, taking his time in looking into the crowd before eventually heading down the ramp to the ring. The Animal enters the ring to a big pop and walks over to the other side, asking Lilian Garcia for a microphone and he gets one. He turns round and walks into the middle of the ring, looking a bit emotional as he looks into the stands, still getting cheered with his music coming to a halt. He takes his time but eventually lifts the microphone up to his mouth.

Batista:
I have to admit I planned tí be standing here tínight as the WWE Champion. Unfortunately thatís not how itís panned out but I can stand here knowing I gave it evírything I had last night.

*Pop*

Batista: The bottom line is, aní as hard as it is to admit, the better man won aní that man was Triple H.

*Major Heat*

Batista: Trust me, that was hard for me tí say. It doesnít matter how he did it, we both knew the rules goiní in aní he got the job done. Heís still the WWE Champion, Iím not aní Iíve got no choice but tí deal with it.

The Animal takes a brief pause, trying to compose him slightly.

Batista:
Iíve had tweníy four hours tí think about things but the truth of the matter is Iíve been thinking about things fí a while now. Iíve been thinking about the future fí a long time aní Iíve had to accept that Iím getting tí the age where my body canít go through many more matches like last night. I know that I wonít be able tí compete at the level that I have fí much longer.

Batista takes another short pause with the crowd starting to feel a bit uneasy.

Batista:
Iíve thought back through what Iíve achieved, winning a Royal Rumble, headlining WrestleMania, winning world titles. Iíve accomplished more than I ever thought I would aní I came to a realisation. Basically thereís nothing left for me tí accomplish aní the longer I stick around, the more I put my body through, the more damage I do aní one thing I sure want is a good life fí myself after I retire. Itís made me think about whatís best for me aní fí my family. I know Iíve been lucky enough to be here, tí wrestle in front of you guys, main event WrestleMania aní travel the world but there comes a time when you have tí walk away.

*Some Boos*

Batista: The hardest thing is tí know when itís the right time tí walk away. Iíve spent more time talking with my family lately, my friends aní Iíve come to the decision that the time is right fí me tí walk away aní retire now.

*Lot of Boos*

Batista: I knew the decision wasnít going tí be popular aní I respect you guys so much you wouldnít believe but Iíve got tí do whatís right fí me. I wanna walk away from the business while Iím still in good shape. Iíve seen people forced tí retire in wheelchairs aní Iíve always said thatís not gonna be me. I understand that thereís gonna be some people who wonít be happy with the decision Iíve made. I just hope you can understand why Iíve made it.

Again The Animal takes another little pause.

Batista: The last thing I wanna do is thank you guys. If it wasnít fí you supporting me through the years Iíd neveríve got the chance tí do the things I have aní Iím truly grateful to all of you.

*Cheers*

Batista:
I appreciate evíry last bit of support Iíve ever had aní I mean that from the bottom of my heart, I want you tí know that. Iíll never fíget the support Iíve had, aní yínever know, this might not be the last time you see me in this ring, but fí now the timeís right fí me tí walk away. Thank you so much, you guys take care, I love you all.

Batista hands the microphone back to Lilian and applauds the audience as ďIn The EndĒ plays again. He tries to fight back the tears and manages to before leaving the ring and heading back up the ramp. As he gets to the top, The Big Show, Rey Mysterio & Finlay walk out to the stage and applaud him. He stops & smiles as they all walk towards him and take turns in giving him a guy hug before they all join forces to raise his hand, getting another big pop from the fans as The Animal again applauds the crowd, thanking the fans one last time.

*Video Recap*
From Last Week!

The Undertaker vs. Sheamus

The Celtic Warrior put up a brave fight against The Dead-Man, and he had to be. The phenom had to tough it out too, and his resilience made Sheamus furious when he tried to put The Undertaker away. After ducking a flying clothesline, he connected with a side-slam back-breaker, but it wasnít enough to put Taker away. He tried & failed as he looked to put the phenom down, and he then furiously stalked his opponent for the Brogue Kick.

He was almost salivating as Taker clawed his way back up to his feet, and Sheamus exploded as soon as Taker was up. Taker though ducked it and grabbed him around the throat for a chokeslam. The fans cheered as Taker got ready to send the Intercontinental Champion into the canvas, but Sheamus had other ideas and kicked the phenom square in the groin, getting himself disqualified to a ton of heat. The fans were pissed big time as Sheamus took in a few deep breaths while staring down at Taker before leaving to a chorus of boos.

He turned back to look at the ring with Taker sitting up with a face like fury, staring right at Sheamus when a big pop broke out. Kofi Kingston then ran down the ramp behind him and clubbed him across the back, then tossed him into the ring. The fans were going nuts, and as Sheamus stood up he turned round to have a pop at Kofi, forgetting all about The Undertaker rising to his feet behind him. Kofi was smiling, and Sheamus then turned round to see the phenom standing there.

He begged for mercy but Taker had none of it, walking over to him and kicking him in the gut before this time connecting with a chokeslam. Kofi was enjoying it, as were the fans as Taker then signalled for the Tombstone, bringing Sheamus back up to his feet before drilling him with the piledriver to a huge pop. Takerís music hit to another massive pop with Kofi laughing on the outside as Taker dropped to one knee for his trademark pose, as menacing as ever with Sheamus flat on his back.

*The Main Event*
Non-Title Match
The Undertaker vs. Sheamus

Taker started the match the stronger but Sheamus has been no pushover. Itís Taker now though on top & firing, pulling the weary Irishman up off from his knees and he sends him crashing into the corner. Sheamus hits the pads and The Dead-Man runs in at him at speed, nailing him with a clothesline. Taker doesnít let up and fires him into the opposite corner, running in at Sheamus again for another vicious clothesline.

The phenom grabs his opponentís arm and heads up to the top rope with the fans cheering, walking across the rope for some OLD SCHOOL!!. . . . . He hits it and the crowd love it! Sheamus is reeling as he picks himself back up, and Taker is right on him, scooping him off his feet and heading into the corner, dropping him head first onto the top turnbuckle pad for the SNAKE EYES!!. . . . .

Sheamus turns round in a spin as Taker runs back into the ropes, storming back across the canvas to drill his HUGE BOOT DOWN THE INTERCONTINENTAL CHAMPIONíS THROAT!!. . . . . The crowd are right behind The Undertaker as he lifts his right hand up into the air, getting ready for A CHOKE-SLAM WITH HIS EYES LOCKED ON THE SQUIRMING IRISHMAN!!!. . . . . Sheamus unwittingly claws his way back up, eyes all over the place with Taker set to pounce, and as Sheamus turns round, Taker grabs him around the throat.

Sheamus panics though and fires back at Taker, desperate to escape and swings his elbow into the side of the phenomís face. He fights his way free and fires Taker into the ropes, but as Taker comes back he ducks under Sheamusís arm and runs through, coming back off the ropes to drill Sheamus with a FLYING CLOTHESLINE!!. . . . . Another series of cheers come from the crowd as both men make their way back up with Taker running at the dazed Intercontinental Champion, drilling his head into the canvas with a RUNNING DDT!!. . . . . Sheamus is in real trouble and Taker knows it, going for the cover. . . . .

1. . . . .

2. . . . .

. . . . .

No! Sheamus just manages to get his shoulder up, but Takerís not fazed, calmly standing back up and signalling for the TOMBSTONE PILE-DRIVER!!!. . . . . The fans rise to their feet as Taker reaches down to drag the almost motionless Sheamus back up, scooping him up and into position, but Sheamus slides down his back and clubs him across the spine.

Taker slumps forward and Sheamus runs forward into the ropes, but as he runs at Taker, the phenom shoots up and grabs him around the throat, wasting no time on this occasion to lift him up off his feet for a CHOKE-SLAM!!!. . . . . BUT WAIT, SHEAMUS COUNTERS WITH A SNAP DDT!!!. . . . . The Intercontinental Champion drives Takerís head into the mat and he doesnít waste a second, quickly shaking off the cobwebs to make a cover. . . . .

1. . . . .

2. . . . .

. . . . . No!

The Undertaker gets his shoulder up and Sheamus isnít happy, sitting up with a face like thunder. He looks determined to put him away while he has a chance, and he brings Taker up with him, holding him around the upper torso with one arm. He glares intensely into the crowd and lifts Taker up, driving his back into his outstretched knee with the IRISH CURSE, A SIDE-SLAM BACK-BREAKER!!!. . . . . Takerís on the mat again and Sheamus thinks he has it, quickly going for another cover and hooking both legs as the ref makes the count. . . . .

1. . . . .

2. . . . .

. . . . .

No! The fans cheer as Taker gets his shoulder up but Sheamus is not amused in the least. He stands back up staring with anger into the crowd, giving them some seriously dirty looks as he retreats into the corner, watching intently as Taker sits up looking fairly groggy. The Celtic Warrior has Taker in trouble and he bangs his chest furiously as Taker claws his way back up, and as Taker turns round, Sheamus charges across the mat and takes his head off with the BROGUE KICK!!!. . . . . He nailed it and Taker falls to the mat with Sheamus smirking at the fans before dropping to his knees, thinking he has it in the bag as he hooks the near leg. . . . .

1. . . . .

2. . . . .

. . . . . 3?

No! Taker gets his foot on the rope to the relief of the crowd, but Sheamus sits up in shock to see it there on the rope. He canít believe it and stands up in a huff, staring down furiously at his opponent and he loses it. The Irishman steps through the ropes and jumps down to the floor, walking towards Lilian Garcia and grabbing a steel chair. The fans boo as he heads back to the apron and slides back inside as Taker sits up.

The referee goes right after Sheamus who barges past him, eyes locked on Taker, and as he makes it back up to his feet, Sheamus SMASHES HIM IN THE HEAD WITH THE CHAIR AND THE REF CALLS FOR THE BELL!!!. . . . . The crowd throw a ton of heat at Sheamus as he throws the chair down and stares down at Taker, clearly not regretting his actions as Takerís announced as the winner by DQ. It draws some cheers from the fans as Sheamus turns his head, looking disapprovingly into the crowd as Takerís music hits.

Winner: The Undertaker by DQ.

Eric Bischoff is shown walking through the back, on his way to the ring for his big announcement, up next!

*Commercial Break*

ďBack in BlackĒ

Eric Bischoff
is already on his way down to the ring with his music playing, entering the ring and picking a microphone up off the apron, and like earlier, the Head of Authority is in a very good mood.

Eric Bischoff:
Well I promised Iíd have an announcement for you tínight and the timeís come fí me tí let you in to what it is Iíve come up with.

Bischoff takes a brief pause and smiles into the crowd, looking very proud of himself.

Eric Bischoff:
Iíve always been an innovator. Iíve always pushed the envelope aní Iíve never been afraid tí make bold decisions if I think itís good fí business. Some of the decisions Iíve made have made histíry aní so will this. What I have to announce will make histíry, because for the first time ever, in four weeks at the Royal Rumble, the WWE Championship will be defended in the Royal Rumble match.

*Huge Pop*

Eric Bischoff: Yep, you heard me right. In just under four weeks, Triple H will be the first man to ever defend the WWE title in the rumble match, meaning 29 men from both Raw and Smackdown will have the chance to win the title in the same match.

*Pop*

Eric Bischoff: Only once has the WWE title been on the line in the Rumble, however this time there will be a champion going into the match who will have to outlast 29 men to walk out, still WWE Champi.

ďTime to play the game. . .Ē

A ton of heat breaks out as the WWE Champion, Triple H hits the stage with a face like thunder, also with a microphone in hand as he glares down at Bischoff, but Bischoff doesnít look the least bit worried. It seems like he should be as The Game walks down the ramp with purpose, joining him in the ring and staring right at him before walking slowly towards him.

Triple H:
Let me get this straight. You expect me to walk into the Royal Rumble and defend it against 29 other men? 29 men, in one match? Do you have any idea. . .

Eric Bischoff: . . . Look, I knew you werenít going tí be happy about this. . .

Triple H: . . . Aní you wonder why? Do you have any idea what kind of impossible situation youíre putting me in?

Eric Bischoff: Wait, Huníer, listen tí me. I understand what this involves but this is purely a business decision, but look at this from a diffírent perspective. Iíve heard you talk fí years about how you want tí go down in histíry as the greatest of all time. Well hereís your chance. This is the perfect chance fí you tí go down in histíry, not just as the only man tí defend the WWE Championship in the Rumble match but the only man to successfully defend the WWE Championship in the Rumble match? How does that sound?

Triple H: As great as that sounds, do you know what the odds are of that happening? Iím one man in 30. The Royal Rumble is the most difficult match tí win for a reason. Itís 30 men in a free fí all. Putting the WWE Championship on the line only makes that even more competitive. Surviving the Rumble is almost impossible at the best of times, but this? You might as well take the title off me now. In fact, I think thatís what you want. I think you want someone else but me as WWE Champion. . .

Eric Bischoff: . . . Thatís ridiculous. Like I said, itís a business decision. Iím giving the fans something theyíve never seen before. Iím making a huge match even bigger than it already is, aní Huníer, Iíd be doing it regardless of who the champion is. The fact youíre the champion didnít even come into it. I was thinking about this even before you won the title. Whether you believe me or not, thatís your choice, but itís the truth aní itís happening.

Triple H: Do you seriously expect me to believe that? Youíve had it in fí me fí a long time aní this is your way of getting one over me, but if you think Iím going tí take this lying down, youíre wrong. This is not happening.

*Heat*

Eric Bischoff: Iím sorry tí break it to you Huníer but Iím afraid it is happening, aní thereís not a thing you can do about it. Get used to it Ďcause Iím not changing my mind.

The WWE Champion walks menacingly towards Bischoff, trying it would seem to intimidate him.

Triple H:
If I were you Bischoff Iíd think seriously about that. You might be the man in charge around here but I can make life very difficult for you.

Bischoff smirks, not intimidated at all by The Game

Eric Bischoff:
If you think you can bully me into changing my mind, youíre wrong aní Iíd advise you to think twice about who youíre talking to.

Triple H: Youíre picking a fight with the wrong guy but Iím going tí give you one last chance tí change your mind before I do something I regret.

Eric Bischoff: Threatening me isnít going tí do a damn thing. Youíre defending the title in the Royal Rumble aní thatís that. Deal with it.

Triple H grudgingly nods his head and turns round to leave the ring, leaving Bischoff with a smile on his face. The Game turns round though and drops his belt, paces towards Bischoff, stomping him in the gut and planting him with a pedigree to a ton if heat from the capacity crowd. The WWE Champion glares down without a shred of remorse as Rawís Head of Authority lies flat on his back in the middle of the ring.

A pop breaks out as The Big Show paces down the ramp and into the ring, barging his way past Triple H to check on his boss & long-time associate. He sees that Bischoffís out of it and stands up, turning towards Triple H who picks his title up and looks back at Show before stepping through the ropes, still not looking at all sorry for what heís done with Show watching his every step back up the ramp. The Game turns back and looks down at the ring with Show still staring at him furiously.

Jerry Lawler:
If Triple H was looking fí a way out, heís sure going about it the wrong way. I think heís just made life a whole lot more difficult for himself.

Jim Ross: Without doubt King but you can understand why heís unhappy, not that I feel sorry fí the guy. In four weeks heíll have tí defend the WWE Championship in the Royal Rumble match against 29 other men whoíll be looking to walk out with his title. . . Youíve got tí give it tí Bischoff, but I wonder just how bad a decision The Game just made. The last thing heíd want tí do right now is piss Bischoff off. Either way, the Royal Rumble just got a whole lot more intíresting. For the first time ever, the WWE title will be defended in the rumble match aní I think weíre on a rocky road tí the Rumble. Weíll see you next week folks. After what weíve just seen, donít even think about missing it!

Breaking News: WWE Title To Be Defended in the Royal Rumble Match!

On Raw just moments ago we learned that at the Royal Rumble next month, Triple H will become the first superstar to defend the WWE Championship in the Royal Rumble match against 29 other men.

It's only the second time in history that the WWE Championship has been on the line in the over-the-top rope battle royal, but it will be the first time it has ever been defended in the biggest match in the WWE calendar. We also heard from Eric Bischoff that both Raw & Smackdown superstars will take part and we understand that the winner of the match will go onto WrestleMania to defend the title in one of the main events.

Wow after such an excellent PPV you followed it up with a great Raw

I like how you seem to have all the guys who arent or ahvent been in the WWE seemingly stitched into the WWE without a problem

The WWE Championship defended in the Rumble is the main thing to come out of Raw and you have made it hard to know who walks out of the Rumble as the champ, it could be anyone, but Big Show looks like a smart choice

I like the tag team divisions set up and with teams like Epitomy of Excellence they have a great connection that makes them compatible, hoping Daniel and Kaval can get their hands on the straps as I see a heel in Mystico maybe thats a WM match for him to take on Mysterio

Sorry for only a few words but as I read more I will post more descriptive reviews

Looking forward to the next read
