Re: Extreme Championship Wrestling 2001- I Don't Need A Fuckin' Subtitle
You. Fucking. Asshole. lol
That was brilliant. I think I'm gonna have to start reviewing your shows soon dude. You had me. I'll admit it, you had RVD sounding so damn genuine then when you wrote "Van Daminator to Heyman" and repeated yourself, that really captured the moment of just how fucking huge it was. Awesome mate, fucking awesome.

Re: Extreme Championship Wrestling 2001- I Don't Need A Fuckin' Subtitle
Excellent and realistic promo from Heyman to start the show. I know that Heyman usually never appeared on camera unless he had to, so this was a great way to get the show started. Not surprised to see Spike get the win for his team, as it seems Spike is in the middle of a decent push in this thread. Jerry Lynn's promo while short was good and realistic as well. I like how this show has been built so far man. Corino gets the win over Low-Ki, and the feud looks like it's going to continue! New Jack is here! New Jack gets in some offense, but as you mentioned the numbers game is too much for Jack and Ki to beat. I'm surprised that you had Dawn and Francine in the ring without any drama between the two. Nova is coming back next week and I'm looking forward to his upcoming push in this thread.
You are the man! When I read this last night, I had a small feeling that you would be pulling a swerve, but not to this extent. This was excellent man! But I like how you were able to tie this segement back to the original reason why Van Dam and Rhino began this feud with Heyman. The Van Daminator to Heyman was great, and this is probably going to be a shoe in for next month's Most Creative Award or as you put it, the "Ode to Vince Russo Award." As far as the dark match, I'm not surprised that the match really never happened, as this is a feud to save for the next PPV, which is in May, booking time right?
Overall Comments: I have to say, I haven't been this surprised at how good of a show was since one of Wolfy's show last year and his feud with Angle/Hart. This show was excellent and I can't wait for next week's show. One question though, what is OOC?

OOC stands for Out Of Character. I don't understand what the % and the figures in the brackets mean in the quick results. Is that you rateing how good they were Szumi? My rating for the RVD shit would be 100%. That was fantastic. Best bit of booking I have read around here in a long time. AWESOME

Re: Extreme Championship Wrestling 2001- I Don't Need A Fuckin' Subtitle
OOC is 'out of character'. Just me talking, and not in the context of what's going on for the show.
Flagpole, the percentages and such are from EWR. I usually take them out for WF, and merely forgot. Don't worry about them. I'm editing them out now since I forgot too.
Thanks for the comments from you, and Paranoir. And Kid o, thanks for the review man. Much appreciated. While I'm not going to review SS, I still want to at least try and read or skim it, and continue to follow on with the solid BTB you have going on.

Re: Extreme Championship Wrestling 2001- I Don't Need A Fuckin' Subtitle
First off, you can notice the lack of Georgia text. That would be because this isn’t the BTB’er Szumi talking. It isn’t the person I portray on here, but a more personal me. This is Nick talking. But for the record, this is something I’ve always wanted to point out after watching a video AMP made. Szumi is pronounced Zoom-E.
Okay, now that I got that out of the way, it’s time to be more serious.
I know I’ve left in my sig that I have been thinking about taking a definite hiatus. That was a lie. Truth be told, I was heavily thinking of leaving WF altogether. I’ve been, and very much am, burnt out and overall fed up. It’s been a building process for months, and it is to the point now that if I don’t step back now, I will be leaving for good. In fact, if I didn’t have a talk or two with three of the guys I like and respect the most, Greg, Adam, and Daune, better known to WF as King of Pain, Renegade, and Wolf Beast, I’m sure this post would be me saying goodbye for good. However, after talks with them, and flat out persuasion by Wolfie, I won’t be leaving WF. At least not for good. However, that doesn’t change the fact that I am fed up with the politics and overall hypocrisy that goes on at this place, as well as that I am most importantly, burnt out from a creative standpoint.
The most important matter goes first, and that is everything mainly related to the process of BTB. For months, and now for more than a year, I have been contributing heavily to this zone in one major way or another. Whether it was with the BTB Newsletter, the first ever Promo Tournament, the innovations with promo writings in general, the BTB Yellow Pages, the Mega Standings… I’ve done a shit load. Let’s just leave it at that. Besides that, I’ve done BTBs, and some of which I’ve thought were pretty darn good, mainly The Trio Ownership and this current ECW project. That all adds up, and to be honest, I just feel a general lack of respect and appreciation for that, and along with my own frustrations, it leads to me being burnt out now. I need to make sure this is a process that breaks sooner than later, so it doesn’t lead to me leaving for good.
And the other aspect, that I won’t deny has pissed me off a lot more than it wanted to… the politics of this site and the hypocrisy that goes with it. I am fed up of being told one thing, guaranteed one thing, only for politics and hypocrisy to intervene and make matters different. I do not want to get into more details with it, because I don’t wish to air any laundry that I don’t personally feel like I need to air with this, so I will attempt to leave it at that. But I do admit that I am fed up and sick with the proceedings, and I know I’m not the only one; multiple people have voiced irritations with this. I did not want to let things of the sort bother me, but when it’s constant bullshit after constant bullshit, it adds up, and it leads to a breaking point. I was at that breaking point, but an old friend showed up randomly. That man, obviously, is Wolfie. Him and I chatted and caught up, and when the topics moved to BTB, I expressed all of my frustrations and such, and he was able to convince me not to leave the site altogether. Talking with KOP and Reney, as well, helped solidify that decision.
At this point, I’m not entirely sure how long I’ll leave. I’ll lurk around, and I’ll probably still show up to post the Mega Standings at the end of November, but I need to just step back. I need to forget about writing and booking a bit, and I need to just say “fuck it” to all the shit going on. I’d like to come back in December after finals are finished for college, and try to get everything back in order again. But again, I don’t know. I’ll come back at some point, that much I know. I’ll live up that promise to Wolfers. Whether it is with this thread, ECW 01, or not, I don’t know. At this point, I could care less. I’ve enjoyed writing this project, but that enjoyment has been eroded away. But when I do come back, I do plan on making things easier for myself in terms of booking and writing. However I do that, I don’t know. I’ll figure that out.
At this points, I’d just like to give a big thank you to Renegade, King of Pain, and of course, Wolfie. You three have been a big help today and over the past month or so. Other thanks go to the people who have read my work, supported my ideas and helped out, the guys who have been friends to me on here, and to everyone who has kept it truly real with me. It’s a trait I find to be lacking in too many areas. So again, thank you. I hope to be back in a little over a month, but depending on how life goes, maybe it will be sooner, maybe it will be later. I don’t know, and at this point, I don’t know if I even care.
Thank you for your time, and thank you for reading
Nick.

Wow, I was expecting this but you came out and bluntly said what needed to be said. I salute you for trying with the ECW thread and knowing that because it's not some WWE sham, you knew it wouldn't be hugely viewable but you kept on.
I hope myself, Wolfy and KOP have done enough to help you return soon, whenever that be.

Re: Extreme Championship Wrestling 2001- I Don't Need A Fuckin' Subtitle
After talking with you, both today and these past few weeks and months, I know you have been finding it hard. Having such a hectic life does not help. Maybe stepping away is exactly what you need, I hope so anyway. I want my Szumi back as soon as possible.
Just take care, Nick and remember, I am always around if you need someone to talk to. I can be serious as well you know.

Re: Extreme Championship Wrestling 2001- I Don't Need A Fuckin' Subtitle
First off, I want to say that you are a person who keeps it real and that is something that is very respectable. As you mentioned you've done a whole bunch of things in this thread, that I and I'm sure some others feel that went at time unnoticed. Outside of Wolfy, IMO, you have done the most in this thread to help pull this part of the forum out of its slump. The BTB Newsletter is one of the best things about this section, and though I was never apart of the newsletter, was something I looked forward to reading when each issue was posted. The same applied and applies to the Mega Standings and the great idea of adding the Yellow Pages to the section. As far as the point of being burnt out, hey it happens to everyone. I know bookers might think that I don't get burnt out because at times I post two to three shows a week, and a PPV just about every month, but I get burnt out, as there were many times I wanted to quit the thread as well.
I will say that I'm glad that you're not leaving the site entirely. But I will admit that it is good to take a step back for a moment. Last Year and part of this year I had to do the same thing. With jobs, college, trade school, or higher education following high school, and just life, at times it becomes very hard at times to work on a BTB. And at times it comes to a point when you have to step back and not think about it. As I've said to you before your two solo threads (The Trio Ownership and the current ECW thread) were two of the most creative and original threads that I have read as I've mentioned to you before that you still have the Best WCW themed brand ever in BTB history.
Like Renegade mentioned though, I hope that you do return soon, whenever that might be. However as we all know, Life>BTB. Take care man and I hope to see you return to BTB, whenever that might be.

Re: Extreme Championship Wrestling 2001- I Don't Need A Fuckin' Subtitle
Wow.
I think I might cry! After having talked to you for the past week about this, it's completely understandable. You're in college now, it makes a lot of sense as to why you are making this move for now at least. You've indeed contributed a lot with us doing the newsletter, etc. You do need time away and trust me, it's the best feeling in the world after taking a month or so off.
And after hearing all your options if you return, you know which one I like the best. I'll catch up with you on MSN. Later, Nick.

Cyah Nick. You have had some good times in BTB, and I have read through all of them. The WWE with Spart, the Trio and the ECW's. I know what you mean, and respect your decision.
(BTW - I knew it was Zoom-e )
