DH6's SummerSlam Feedback
The opening video package was great, especially since it revolved around Shawn Michaels
Good to start things off with a moderate type match that has high stakes. This may sound odd, but I like your sentence leg. They're not too long, but they're not too short - just in the middle. The match started out slow, but that was expected as well as realistic for these two. A lot of countering, which was good between these two technical wrestlers. I like the fact that there weren't a lot of covers, because that would be realistic between these two, tbh. "Booker hinted at a face turn." That line was very interesting, and it gives me belief that when Booker does lose this match (obvious that he will) and goes back to Booker T, he'll slowly turn into a face. Booker started to take control, which is good considering he's the heel (I think

). The match was fairly back and forth for the most part. Back and forth matches are just as good as WWE Style matches where the face gets control, then the heel for a while, then the face. Sharmell trying to interfere when Booker and Finlay were on the outside was realistic, since if Booker is no longer king, she'll no longer be queen. I'm sure she likes to be queen. Things really opened up with the Houston Hangover, one of my favourite moves in Booker's repertoire. Very descriptive words in your match writing, which enhances it for the reader, such as myself. Thought Booker had the match with his feet on the ropes, but good decision to have the referee spot his feet. Hornswoggle makes an appearance!! A lot of action happened here at once, and it was sort of confusing. Sharmell hits Booker -- which costs him the match! Great finish, and I think Booker will leave Sharmell which would be better for a face turn.
The lime green font is awfully hard to read. I know it suits the SummerSlam colours, but it hurts my eyes. Having the participants sort things out themselves is very unique? Are they just going to have a vote or what? I guess I'll have to wait and find out.
If Maria is still ditzy in your thread, I don't think she would call Orton 'Mr. Orton'. Orton's first sentence was long, bunched together, and confusing, which unfortunately helped set a tone for the interview. The interview got better, but there were several times where there would have been crowd reactions. Is Maria in some state where she gets smart for periodically? Her line really shocked me, as did this interview. I expected more out of Orton, but I guess I was disappointed.
I think the superstar should come out before Lilian Garcia does their introduction, as that makes far more sense. Trish is good as both heel and face, so I can't argue over her heel status. Trish taking a back seat right off the get go was both excellent and realistic. Victoria and Mickie double teaming Trish was good, and it would have gone over well with the fans. Sometimes you would get carried away with your sentences, and they were so long with so many conjunctions that it was extremely confusing. I think if you read it all over you would have noticed your mistakes and fixed them, which definitely would have helped. Trish hitting a cross body isn't exactly like her, and I don't think she should have used it because she's heel and cross bodys help get a good reaction. It became clear that Trish was going to win the match, because Trish got the first four covers in the match up. Definitely some favourtism - Trish should never have dominated like that against Mickie James and Victoria, who have a lot of credibility. Beth Phoenix~! At least this match got somewhat interesting. Trish takes advantage and wins the title. Expected, but we'll see where she goes from here.
Another interview, but whatever. Giving a tag team an interview is somewhat rare, but I like that you're doing it as it's not done often. Not the greatest interview, though. It was too short, and Dykstra didn't even talk at all. I don't have problems with short segments, but I think it would have been better if Dykstra talked to carry on with the interview.
Everyone going after Chavo was pretty good, and Mark Henry trying to protect him was even better. I don't think they would have been able to take out Henry, even with Palumbo's help. Having the eight men pair off in single battles was great, and it's probably the best way to divide them all up. Having pin falls being broken up is awesome and realistic, because chances are a fall will be broken up with so many men in the matchup. Some of the action was really good and exciting, which was reasonable for this type of match. Cruiserweights = Ratings, imo, especially when you throw a bunch of them together in one ring. Thought Young was gonna get it with the Running Big Boot, but having it broken up locked away his chances of leaving with the title. 'Botched Back Suplex' - That was realistic, because wrestlers seem to botch a lot of things, including Funaki. This match went longer than I thought it would, and maybe it was too long for what was necessary. Pretty shocked that Chavo got the win, but I guess every title can't change hands. The finish was okay, but it got some controversy mixed in, which was great.
It seems as if RVD and Lashley are both heel? I like Lashley as heel, but not RVD, but whatever works for your booking plans. As expected, Vince did all of the talking, but I thought everyone else might get in a line or two about getting pumped up or something.
A ladder match is always expected to bring in ratings, however, some ladder matches haven't. It seems as if a lot of the matches on the card involve at least 6 people, which is a little overload. Doing a recap is different, and maybe it's because you didn't have a lot of time? Not really liking Cryme Tyme in a Ladder Match, but they're a creative team and I know that they'll do some pretty unique shizzle. [/ganstaattempt] There wasn't a lot of climbing, which definitely upset me. It would have been better match writing to have more ladder climbing since there's so many men. You definitely wrote a lot for recapping the match, which enhanced it quite a bit. Londrick winning was probably your best choice, but I don't see them winning the titles so soon. It just wouldn't be realistic, though they might go into a feud with the champions.
By the sounds of this interview, Batista is heel. Heel Batista = ratings, tbh, so keep him heel~! Third interview of the night, which isn't too good. Another short interview at that, which didn't help whatsoever.
I'm glad that the video package was short, because this match doesn't deserve a long video package. Why did Santino put his belt on the desk? Didn't make a lot of sense to me, so maybe you can clarify that. A pin so early rarely happens, but it should happen seldomly so I'm glad that it did happen. Santino spits! That could be a really neat tongue twister

I'm sorry but the next half of the review is gonna be somewhat short because I don't have much time and just want to get the review posted. You wrote Mysterio and Marella together fairly well, and I think it would be quite interesting to see them battle it out in real life after this match. Mysterio getting the win was great, and pretty much expected at this point. I can see a rematch coming at Unforgiven, but I'm not 100% sure if it will happen.
Another interview~?! Way overboard here with interviews, and having so many makes you look somewhat like a lazy booker. Shawn had great character, and having Austin and The Rock involved was also great. The War Games Match is going to be absolutely fabulous, and I wish I could skip right to it, but of course, I won't. I'm glad that this segment didn't exactly stay as an interview, or else I would be quite angry. Good creativity and thought put into this segment, tbh.
Mr. Kennedy and CM Punk starting out are two excellent choices. I would love to see these two tear it up in a one on one match for about fifteen minutes or so. Don't think Punk should have hit a Bulldog so early, since it is one of his signature moves. The action before the first entrant was great, had good length, and was in good detail. I think this was a good spot for MVP to enter the match, as Punk taking on two heels helps his strength and credibility. The GTS without a cover is somewhat realistic, but not much. Maybe it wasn't the best time to hit it, and Kennedy could have been taken out with a Suplex instead - or something like that. Not alot of action between the next entrant, and maybe not enough. I assume Kane is face, but I could be wrong. Punk is eliminated first? That wasn't the best after he had his credibility built up somewhat. Kane better be face at this point, because 3 heels going at it would be pretty boring. Kennedy being the next to go was the best choice, probably because he had entered first and it would be realistic for him to finally get out of there. Matt Hardy as the last entrant is good, and I can see it coming down to Matt/MVP. Getting Burke out of there was a good move, since he's the weakest in the matchup. Undertaker?! Nope, but obviously someone 'related' to him so to say. This could lead to a future Undertaker/Kane match down the road. Great way to get rid of Kane, because he keeps his credibility, and it would have been hard to eliminate a monster anyways. MVP gets himself disqualified~!! I don't think those are the Gauntlet Match rules, considering you just had Kane get beaten down by a Lead Pipe.
This Video Package shouldn't have even been here, because it was about 20 seconds long and pretty effortless, tbh. The brawling before was not expected, but added for some creative booking. I think these two teams would put on a pretty generic match, so I'm not sure if I would want to see it in real life. However, it's your thread, so put feel free to put them up against each other, because there's no harm in trying it out. Again, watch how long your sentences are getting. WGTT as faces is a good choice, imo, and I like it. WGTT winning the titles is great, and I can see a Triple Threat for the titles down the road with WGTT, Deuce & Domino, and Londrick.
ANOTHER INTERVIEW!!!! Okay, I hate to say this, but you're turning into a lazy booker. This is the fifth interview, which is way too many for a show. It's also showing that you're not creative, when I know that you are. Creativity plz. Could Hassan be the person who attacked Kane? I think it's a swerve, but I'll wait and see.
Yay, not an interview! This segment was pretty good, though the delivery rate wasn't that great. Still enjoyable to read, and a rematch was expected to happen.
This video package was solid, and I assume the blue writing was the lyrics to the song? Brown getting a World Title push is different, but I'll have to see how it's being booked. No way he's walking out with the World Title. I expect Undertaker to do so, but not exactly sure. Edge taking a backseat is realistic, and I can see it happening. The three of them teaming up on Taker in the early going was good. It means that Taker will get back in the ring and clean house, which will build up his credibility as champion. There weren't enough pinning attempts for a Fatal Four Way Match, tbh. A Fatal Four Way should have at least 10 pinning attempts. Yours only had 5, which definitely isn't enough. Undertaker winning is a good booking decision, and I'd rather see him lose the title in a one on one match.
Interview

Not even going to comment because there's no point in having another interview.
Video package was pretty meh and short. First ever Triple Threat Last Man Standing Match is great, and should be pretty epic. Wonder if it will be better than the Triple Threat at 'Mania in real life. Having the first few counts fairly short is good, because if they were long, the person getting counted on would have to look weaker for the rest of the match. Orton locks in the Sharpshooter~! I don't think that was very good, and very unlike Orton. That move should only be done by Shawn Michaels, tbh. Or Bret Hart if he returns

. "For all of you who just thought we were guaranteed a new champion there go in to the corner and cry because this is Last Man Standing rules and they must be knocked down for 10 seconds" This line wasn't very good. Focus on the match writing please, not your own comments. Don't turn into Szumi

. Orton getting up after a Pedigree onto two chairs really surprised me, but it makes him incredibly strong which could lead to a victory for him. Triple H eliminated first! I knew it would be either Triple H or Cena, but I just didn't know which one it was going to be. Triple H helps Cena up? Very unique booking there, and could lead to a future HHH/Orton rivalry. Double countout!! This is going to lead to a future match between the two, no doubt. It will probably happen at Unforgiven, but at this point, it's unknown.
Pointless video package, tbh. I could tell what you were trying to do, but it was pretty much effortless, and it should have been far longer than that. Slacking off on the video packages isn't going to get you anywhere, imo. Having the heel team get the first entrant was realistic, because it will help the face team get some credibility, as if Flair needs it. Still, best booking decision you could do. Austin comes in this early? Not exactly liking it, as I think he should have been the last person to enter. I expect the entrants to be back and forth, but not sure, as I'm not familiar with the War Games Match. I think it would have been better to have some eliminations before everybody entered. Shawn should have entered last than Carlito, as it would have been more epic. Having it come back down to Vince and Flair was great, but Vince wins!!! Huge upset, and the Sledgehammer was an interesting way to do it.
Overall, the show was pretty good. Not as good as I had originally expected, but still pretty good. There were far too many interviews, and I mean far too many. Should only be about 1-3 interviews on a show, and you had around 6 or 7. The show got somewhat better as it went along. Read over your shows, because some of the sentences in your matches were too long and awfully confusing.
