A 4 Hour Survivor Series Card looks good...are you planning on making the 4 main pay-per-views 4 hours, because I think it would be a good idea.

Well normally they would be 3 hours but Summerslam is the 20th edition and Survivor Series is in the UK so is extra special.

This could be your greatest PPV yet. Keep it calm with no major run in's or anything like Vengeance and the Vince/Flair/Shane situation. This is the better brand for me and i can't wait to read

ThewrestlingObserver.com

Over the past few months the WWE has seen it's fanbase rise. This may be down to the arrivals of Austin, The Big Show, Eric Young and Trish Stratus but facts don't lie. Smackdown has received it's highest numbers since January 2006 with the cage tournament to crown a number one contender. The pushes of Santino and Orton's dominance are also factors in helping the RAW side acheive higher status with the number USA Network who recently signed a 3 year contract extension. This, coupled with the highly successful Vengeance, which created a few modern day classics like Rob Van Dam vs. Shawn Michaels, with the ending forever etched in history as one of the most extreme of all time. Also, Orton vs. Cena, a match of true phsycology and an amazing ending. Smackdown, still recovering from the loss of Benoit hit back with tremendous form which spread the last 6 weeks and the card has been widely acclaimed as the best this year across the Internet. Undertaker/Edge, the match that never was but could be the greatest Smackdown only main event we have had in a long while. Punk/Kennedy is seen by many as a dream match and will certainly not dissapoint, we also have King Booker and Finlay facing off, made all the more juicer by Booker verbally abusing Finlay backstage after a house show in Kentucky. On to Summerslam; with 3 matches already announced, a rematch of Cena/Orton, a War Games match and Mysterio/Santino this event surely could take some beating if you look at the first 3 matches, 2 of which are rematches and were critically acclaimed by viewers. The big question on everyone's lips is who is the final man? Could it be Triple H? Spelling the end of DX? Is it The Rock, it could even be Bret Hart but one thing is for sure, TNA has a lot of work to do.

On to TNA, after a rather abysmal PPV, Victory Road. A few names have been released and are now working the Indy scene, these include Jerry Lynn and Rhyno (the latter recently pulled out of a WWE deal) Jeff Jarrett has stated he will do all he can to stop the force of the WWE but it looks like the WWE are getting stronger and stronger.
A few notes to get you pumped for the Great American Bash.

Some real good news there and adding some real intrigue into this whole War Games situation. It shouldn't be Triple H, but should be a big name. Nice way to hype the pay-per-views too mate

‘Always’ by Saliva blasts through the speakers as the camera cuts to Michael Cole and J.B.L.

Michael Cole: Ladies and Gentlemen, welcome to the extravaganza that is the Great American Bash, an event steeped in history, hopefully some more will be made here tonight.

J.B.L: You can bet your bottom dollar it will be! We have Edge going one on one with the Undertaker, for the first time ever! That’s huge, bigger than Michael’s Cole’s ears.

Cole: Yes…. We also have the chance to main event Summerslam coming up; 5 men all vying for a place to battle for the World Heavyweight Championship plus MVP defends his gold against Matt Hardy!

J.B.L: We will come to that later, now it is time for the first match of the evening, King Booker, his majesty himself. Against the peasant Finlay, it should be a very physical battle, one which I have felt too many times and it is one of the reasons why I am sitting here with this loser…

Chimel: Ladies and Gentlemen, this match is scheduled for one fall. Introducing first, from Houston, Texas. Weighing in at 256lbs, King Booker!

*ROYAL CORONATION* plays as Booker struts down to the ring with his wife Sharmell, accompanied by a chorus of boos. Booker steps in the ring and raises his little finger to the crowd as Queen Sharmell majestically takes off his crown.

Chimel: Introducing his opponent. From Belfast, Northern Ireland and weighing in at 236 pounds, Finlay!

*I LOVE TO FIGHT* hits as Finlay walks down to the ring in a frantic pace, clutching his shillelagh and placing it in the corner of the ring.

Match 1- King Booker vs. Finlay

FULL MATCH:
The match begins with Finlay and King Booker staring each other down. Booker then motions below the ring towards Hornswoggle before shaking his head. Finlay, taking disgust to this starts punching Booker and forcing him in the corner. Finlay then unloads lefts and rights to the face and chest of Booker, sending him to the floor before Booker manages to roll out of the ring, trying to recover from that brutal onslaught. The crowd are booing heavily as Finlay comes out of the ring and goes after Booker, whilst in pursuit Queen Sharmell slows Finlay down and as Finlay starts to go after Booker again the King manages to push a set of steel steps in to Finlay’s path, tripping him up. Booker rolls him back in the ring before unleashing a few elbows to the chest of Finlay, whose head is poking under the bottom rope. Booker cockily gets on to the canvas and taunts to the crowd but Finlay kicks out at the ankle of Booker, forcing him to fall over and out of the ring. Booker, who is distraught at Finlay’s actions starts to yell at the referee, Sharmell ****s in the argument at ringside, momentarily distracting the referee which is just enough time for Booker to sneak in to the ring and poke the eyes of Finlay. Now Booker has the advantage he lands a few place kicks in to the legs of Finlay to try and get the Belfast Bruiser off of his feet. Finally Booker manages to coop up enough strength to scoop Finlay off of his feet and placing himself in the middle of the ring and hitting a running powerslam. Booker, rather exhausted puts a hand over Finlay’s chest for the pinfall.

Finlay gets a shoulder up but Booker is going absolutely berserk at the referee but the referee orders Booker to calm down, Finlay, who notices what is going on grabs the legs of Booker and attempts a roll up whilst holding the tights.

The official notices Finlay has the tights and gives him until 5 to release the hold, which he does almost instantly. Finlay uses the ropes to get to his feet and starts verbally abusing Booker and telling him ‘To get the hell on his feet’ the crowd are loving it but Booker fails to comply to his orders so Finlay takes things in to his own hands, quite literally by grabbing the hair of Booker, hoisting him up to his feet. Finlay unleashes a few trademark European Uppercuts to the face of Booker, one of which was an extremely stiff shot to the nose of Booker. Finlay pulls away from the King as the official manages to check on him, Booker pans towards the camera which reveals he has a bloody nose. Booker doesn’t take lightly to that punch and starts unleashing fierce punches to the stomach of Finlay before giving him a stiff shot in return. Finlay responds by back handing the chest of King Booker, a la Ric Flair. Finlay attempts a clothesline but Booker ducks the move and squares Finlay right in the face with a massive roundhouse kick. Booker then valiantly climbs over Finlay for the pinfall attempt.

Finlay yet again gets a shoulder up, much to the dismay of Queen Sharmell and King Booker. Booker gets straight up on to his feet and bounces off the ropes and attempts a leg drop but Finlay rolls out of the way just in time. Booker brings Finlay up to he is kneeling on one knee, much like he is bowing to King Booker, Booker then proceeds without mercy to kick Finlay straight in the gut. Booker throws Finlay across the ring like a ragdoll. Booker then taunts to the crowd again, who are booing him with extreme hatred. Finlay, meanwhile, has just managed to get on his feet, using the ropes and leverage to reach a vertical base. Booker then runs at Finlay but in a split second Finlay swaps the direction of his body and swivels around, completely sidestepping the move and leaving Booker flustered and prone to attack. Finlay manages to lift Booker in to the air and with a swift and fluent movement throws Booker to the outside with a back body drop. Booker is aghast on the outside as his Queen manages to get him on his feet and talks to him before sending him back in the ring but as the referee is turning around Booker clips the heels of the referee which allows Sharmell the time to nip in to the ring and take off her stiletto. She looks like she is about to clock Finlay around the head with it but Finlay sees it coming and grabs her hand and throws her in to the corner, leaving her slumped in the corner. It seemed like it was Booker’s plan all along as Booker rushes the ring and hits a Russian Leg Sweep on Finlay, sending his head bouncing straight off of the canvas. Booker gets up to his feet and it looks like he is about to do the Spinaroonie as his eyes widen but he calmly collects himself and rebounds off of the ropes before raising his little finger aloft before crashing down on Finlay’s larynx with a vicious knee drop. Finlay is then dragged over by Booker who climbs to the top rope and without notice attempts a flying axe handle from the top rope but Finlay sticks his foot out, hitting Booker straight in the bloody nose, sending him in to the corner in a heap. Finlay does regain composure in little to no time and he seems to have gained the advantage as Booker is still reeling from the kick. Finlay grabs Booker by the neck and places him in a DDT-like position. Finlay hooks his ankle around Booker’s, who tries relentlessly to elbow his way out of trouble but Finlay is having none of it and plants Booker with a massive Crucifix DDT. Finlay hooks the leg of Booker and goes for his first meaningful pinfall in this match.

Booker kicks out in the nick of time. Queen Sharmell nearly had a heart attack in the process. Finlay then sets his gaze on Queen Sharmell and unleashes a toothy(less) grin. Sharmell shrieks and tries to run in high heels but Finlay easily catches up to her and he lifts her on to his shoulders and carries her in to the ring. This was a foolhardy mistake, and a rather amateur one, from Finlay as Booker gets to his feet and hits a sidewalk slam on Finlay. Booker again drags Finlay towards the corner and climbs up to the top rope and signals for the Houston Hangover but Finlay valiantly gets to his feet and goes to the first rope and scales it. He steps up to the second rope but Booker unleashes punches to the face of Finlay as he starts to teeter at the edge of the ropes but a sudden adrenaline burst comes out of nowhere and Finlay manages to muster up enough energy to get to the third, and top, rope. Booker is in a state of shock, like he has just seen a ghost as Finlay hooks the arm of Booker around his own. Finlay is attempting a superplex but Booker blocks the move at the last instant but Finlay counters this with a very risky shoulder charge on the top rope, but fortunately it pays off as Booker starts to lose his balance and Finlay is able to connect with the top rope superplex as the crowd are chanting HOLY SHIT. Finlay, seemingly out of breath and energy, manages to scoop one arm over the chest of a heavily-breathing Booker and goes for a pinfall.

Somehow, someway Booker kicked out of this predicament but that seems to have taken a lot of energy out of him. The referee notices both men are down and has no other option but to start a ten count.

Finlay gets to his feet but still looks heavily shaken after that massive move. Booker gets to his feet several seconds later but has to be willed on immensely by his wife, Queen Sharmell. Booker gets to his feet but turns around and finds Finlay lunging towards him but the quick thinking Booker trips Finlay up and he goes face first in to the adjacent steel post. Booker laughs and mocks Finlay who is left rubbing his head in frustration. Booker screams at Finlay ‘Get up knave’ but this only spurs Finlay on further. Finlay gets to his feet and goes toe to toe with Booker but Booker rakes the eye of Finlay and kicks him in the mid section before hooking his arm around Finlay’s neck and he hits a swinging neckbreaker. Booker looks to go for a pinfall but ‘trips up’ the fallen body of Finlay. Booker crawls over to Sharmell who hands him her shoe! Sharmell protests to the referee on the canvas that ‘her baby is hurt’ so the referee tries to reason with Sharmell as Finlay gets to his feet. Finlay slowly turns around but it met with a smirking Booker who clocks him around the head with Sharmell’s stiletto. Booker is laughing immensely as he grabs Finlay and with ease kicks him in the mid section, rebounds off of the ropes and hits the scissors kick to down Finlay. Booker knows the win is academic and collapses over Finlay in celebration and hooks the leg, meanwhile a little green hat pops out from under the ring.

Hornswoggle! Hornswoggle runs across the ring, distracting the referee and King Booker and breaking up the imminent 3 count. Booker grabs hold of Hornswoggle but manages to slip out of the King’s grasp and is met by a smirking Finlay who kicks Booker rather low and hits a thunderous piledriver which shakes the foundations of the ring. Finlay goes for the pinfall in the middle of the ring.

After a very long count Booker manages to kick out. Finlay leaves a few choice words for the referee as he gets to his feet. Finlay picks Booker up and looks to go for an inverted DDT but Booker manages to swivel his arms and place in the Book End but Finlay elbows the face and nose of Booker and Irish whips Booker on to the rope and picks up on to his shoulders. Finlay parades Booker around the ring before attempting to go for the Celtic Cross but Booker manages to slide out of the grasp of the fighting Irishman but catch Finlay in a roll up.

Finlay, with all of his might, kicks out, but only just. Finlay crawls over to the corner, seemingly to get some breath when the referee spots Hornswoggle causing havoc with Sharmell so goes out to push the little critter back under the ring but Finlay has managed to pick up the shillelagh and he smashes Booker in the head with it. Booker is now out cold. Finlay lifts a lifeless Booker on to his shoulders and hits the Celtic Cross, he wants this over and done with as soon as possible so quickly goes for the pinfall.

Sharmell puts Booker’s foot on the rope, unbeknown to Finlay and the referee but it still stands as a 2 count. Finlay then notices what Sharmell has done and goes outside the ring and chases after Sharmell again. Finlay tackles Sharmell but out of view of the referee Sharmell hits Finlay with Booker’s solid gold sceptre. Booker winks at Sharmell as he goes to the outside of the ring and throws Finlay back in. Booker lifts Finlay up and kicks Finlay in the stomach and hits the Scissors Kick and goes straight for the pin.

Chimel: The winner of this match, via pinfall, King Booker!

The crowd boo immensely at the duo of Sharmell and Booker as they strut back up the ring and laugh at a downed Finlay who is being accompanied by Hornswoggle.

Cole: He cheated! King Booker cheated to win the damn match and it’s all because of his wife, Queen Sharmell!

J.B.L: So you didn’t see that damn midget nearly cost his Majesty the win? Booker was simply adapting to the surroundings, from one fine man to another Josh Matthews is talking with Chavo Guerrero backstage.

Josh: Chavo, in a matter of minutes you have to go one on one with Eric Young….

*Chavo grabs the shirt of Matthews and pulls the mic over to his mouth*

Chavo: It doesn’t matter if I have to face Superman, I will be walking away with that title still around my waist and with my man here Mark Henry, nobody can stop us. I will pick up that rookie’s body and I will pin him 1-2-3 in the middle of the ring and it will send a message to the lazy fat ass slobs at home and every single wrestler in the WWE that I am the best Cruiserweight in the world today.

*Chavo pushes the chest of Mark Henry quite aggressively*

Chavo: C’mon big man let’s go kick some pathetic ass.

Tony Chimel: This match is for the Cruiserweight Championship and is scheduled for one fall, introducing first, from British Columbia. Weighing in at 220lbs, being accompanied to the ring by Chuck Palumbo, Eric Young!

*SHOWTIME* hits as Eric Young makes his way to the ring, slapping the hands of the fans along the way.

Chimel: Now, the Cruiserweight Champion, weighing in at 210lbs, from El Paso, Texas. Accompanied to the ring by Mark Henry, Chavo Guerrero!

*OOH CHAVO* hits as Chavo Guerrero and Mark Henry make their way to the ring followed by a chorus of boos.

Match 2- Cruiserweight Championship Eric Young vs. Chavo Guerrero ©

FULL MATCH:
The match starts with a rather reluctant Eric Young circling around Chavo Guerrero. Chavo then urges Young to grapple with him, Eric turns to the crowd who cheer in approval. Eric starts grappling with Chavo but the more experienced Chavo manages to get the upper hand and locks in a headlock on Young before releasing the hold but pouncing on Young again, this time applying a wrist lock. Young manages to cling on to the ropes, forcing Chavo to release the hold but Chavo slyly pushes Young over to the turnbuckle. Chavo runs at Young with intent but Young uses the ropes to flip out of the way and on to the outside of the ring but Chavo hooks his arm around Young and hits a suplex to Young which sends him back in the ring. Chavo goes straight for the cover,

Young manages to kick out but Chavo doesn’t look deterred as he goes up to the top rope to measure Young. Young manages to stagger on to this feet but Chavo leaps off of the top rope and attempts an axe handle but Young, simply out of luck, flinches and ducks out of the way but manages to catch Chavo in a remarkably perfect drop toehold. Young opens his eyes to see Chavo fallen on the floor. Young leaps on him for the cover, it surely won’t grab him the win.

Young barely gets a one in his first PPV match but tries to pump himself and waits for Chavo to get up to his feet and to everyone’s surprise Young knocks Chavo’s block off with a massive clothesline. Young takes the right leg of Chavo and twists it, causing Chavo to scream in agony. Young flips over the leg of Chavo but Chavo puts a lot of pressure in his lower back and both men perform a bridge but both men’s shoulders are on the mat so the referee counts the pinfall,

Both men get their shoulders up at the same time and, using all of their strength, get up on to their feet and Chavo swivels his body around and goes for a move similar to Christian’s unprettier but Young turns around and pulls the arms of Chavo, forcing him down as well, Young rolls his legs over but it caught in a pinfall attempt

Chavo rolls out of this pinning attempt and kicks Young stiffly in the head, both men get a standing ovation as Chavo comes out on top. Chavo gets on to the middle rope but Chuck Palumbo goes to distract Chavo but Mark Henry intervenes by pulling the leg of Palumbo and Chavo jumps out of the ring and hits a modified bulldog which sends Palumbo’s skull cracking in to the referee’s rendering him out of action. Mark Henry and Chavo swarm the ring and pick up a downed Young but Young knows what is going on and rolls away from Chavo’s punch and goes towards the ropes and plants Chavo to the floor with a springboard moonsault. He gets a little bit too big headed and starts punching Mark Henry but nothing will affect the Sliverback so Young gets out of the ring and manages to revive his partner, Chuck Palumbo. Palumbo and Mark Henry, who has now gone to the outside of the ring to confront Palumbo, stare each other down. Mark Henry then lays out Palumbo with one punch and leans him against the barricade and hits a big boot before lifting Palumbo up and with a gargantuan effort applies the bearhug to Palumbo who starts punching the face of Mark Henry, Henry then lays down a lifeless Palumbo and hits a World’s Strongest Slam on Palumbo to put him out of his misery. Chavo and Young meanwhile and brawling back in the ring as the referee just about gets to his feet. Chavo lifts Young up on to his shoulders and starts laughing, Chavo is about to drop him with immense force but Young manages to counter the move and Young hits a massive DDT which bounces Chavo’s head off the canvas. Young then places a hand over the chest of Chavo for the cover.

Chavo kicks out as Young has a look of amazement on his face. Young talks to himself quietly before getting some advice from Chuck Palumbo, who has since gotten to his feet, after security pulled the two men apart. Young knows what he must do and he goes to the top rope and waits for a groggy Chavo to get to his feet, slowly but surely Chavo does. Chavo looks up at Young and gets down on to his knees and ‘pleads’ with Young not to hit the Missile Dropkick. Young, feeling sorry for Chavo, goes over to comfort Chavo but, instead, Chavo rakes in the eyes of Young and cockily walks away and screams ‘Viva La Raza’ Young gets to his feet and starts to psyche himself up and then he lunges at Chavo with intent and unleashes lefts and rights to the face of Chavo who has to cover up to avoid facial damage. Chavo then rolls out of the ring and goes behind Mark Henry, to protect him, Palumbo goes over to Henry and knocks him off his feet with a tremendous big boot which sends the crowd wild! Palumbo then throws a rather scared Chavo back in the ring. Young quickly goes for the cover,

Chavo kicks out rather easily but Young hits a leg drop and straight afterwards cups his ear a la Hulk Hogan and is able to get a sustainable pop from the San Jose crowd. Young finally goes up to the top rope and patiently waits for Chavo to get on to his feet, placing in a few taunts to keep the crowd happy. Young glides through the air with ease and hits a missile dropkick straight in to the jaw of Chavo, completely sweeping him off of his feet. Young, sensing the end is near, goes straight for the cover,

Chavo kicks out at the very last instant from Young’s finisher which leaves Young flabbergasted. Young, still determined gets to his feet and brings Chavo with him and Irish whips him to the ropes and rebounds off and hits a belly to belly suplex in to a bridge but again Chavo rolls out of the pinning combination and Chavo has Young in a pre powerbomb position and is about to hit the powerbomb when Young hits a back body drop but before Chavo feels the force of the impact and hurts himself Chavo manages to grab the leg of Young and roll over once again and to the amazement of the crowd, Young is locked in none other than the legendary Guerrero submission, the Lasso from El Paso. Young is struggling and with all his might and tries to reach the bottom rope but Chavo’s experience outweighs Young’s heart as he drags Young in to the middle of the ring. The crowd are urging Young on and it looks like he is about to tap when he attempts a very unorthodox manoeuvre, he places both hands on the mat in front of him and turns his body around, this puts all of the pressure on the arms of Chavo and weakens him enough so Young can kick out at him and sending him flying across the ring, much to the delight of the crowd. Chavo gets on his knees and pleads again but this time Young has no mercy and knees him in the gut before lifting Chavo up and bodyslamming him. Young quickly goes for the pinfall,

Chavo kicks out, but only just. Young starts to rally with the crowd as Chavo reluctantly gets to his feet. Young takes a play out of Palumbo’s book, he revs up his motor and smashes Chavo in the face with a monster big boot. Young decides against going for a pinfall and instead lifts Chavo up to his feet and aims for a vertical suplex but Chavo blocks it just in time and then Chavo Irish whips Young in to the corner and places him on the top rope and punching him to weaken and wear him down. Out of nowhere Chavo hits a snap DDT which leaves Young out cold. Chavo drags Young to the middle of the ring and hastily climbs up to the top rope, he then hits a frog splash and the subsequent pinfall,

Young kicks out! The heart of the rookie is phenomenal as Chavo can’t believe it. Chavo calls out to Henry to grab the title belt, the referee tries to stop him, as does Palumbo who accidentally knocks out the referee. Henry passes the title to Chavo but Young ducks when Chavo swings at him with the belt but misses. Young starts to get some momentum, he then kicks Chavo in the gut, who still has the belt in his hands. Young goes for the powerbomb but Chavo strikes with the belt, it was a rookie mistake from Young as Chavo collapses on Young. The referee climbs in to the ring and slowly makes the count,

J.B.L: My man Chavo has done it again! He defied the odds and pinned that wimp 1-2-3! He truly is the greatest Cruiserweight in the world!

Cole: I’m not even going start on where you are wrong.

J.B.L: Then don’t. Josh Matthews is with the New Breed ahead of their handicap match later on tonight.

*The camera cuts to Matthews and Matt Striker, with Burke and Brown standing behind Striker*

Matthews: Matt, later on tonight the New Breed will face its toughest test yet; whoever gets a pinfall goes straight to the main event of Summerslam. There are 3 of you and 2 of them….

Striker: Ha, the monkey can count! My delinquent friend, don’t you think we already know this about this courageous dilemma set to us by Teddy Long and honestly we have fretted about it and come to a logical conclusion. You see, I don’t want my brain beaten by mindless fools like Edge or the Undertaker

*Pop*

Striker: No, my two men can beat the monotonous idiots, like they have already beaten half of ECW. I will admit that they have heart but after we’re through with them they will want to feast on their own younglings like the despicable little SOB’s they are because they are dumb and they are worthless. I have taught you a lesson today in gratitude, Joshua now get the hell out of sight!

*Matthews is seen backing away as the camera cuts to Matt Striker who has a huge grin on his face*

Chimel: Ladies and Gentlemen the next match is for the WWE tag team championship, the rules for this match are that only 2 men opposing teams are allowed in at one time.
