By this time next week expect most storylines to be solified, and most of the RR card from the Raw side of things to be set up, along with the SD side of things as well. At the moment the WWE is coming in after New Year, and it may start releasing talent unneeded off the rosters, and expect some of the new gimmicks to be pushed, and in the coming months some of the stale gimmicks / face or heel people to be fresher and probably different then what they are now.
Sounds good. NYR was probably going to be a throwaway PPV anyway. I'm beginning to wonder who will be released.
WrestleMania rumors are hinting at an Edge vs. Undertaker WM ME this year, with Edge cashing in MITB on one or the other brands title, and The Deadman winning the RR. Its a possibility at the moment, but nothing is certain as of yet. Its a likely possibility even though a rumor, and its been said to be `penciled in` for WrestleMania. And another thing that is rumored this year, is a possible `Batista vs. JBL` rematch from the Summer, since Batista doesn't really have any challengers left.
Interesting to see this. Would've really liked to see this happen in the future, as it means someone's streak would end. And if it does, please put Taker over.
In other news, the WWE has been switching the venue around as of late for WrestleMania 22. With its new line up, WWE knows they can sell a lot more tickets at a larger location, and quietly WrestleMania 22 has been moved to `The Astodome` aka now known as the Reliant Astrodome. 5 years ago it was WrestleMania 17 from The Astrodome, where the 67,925 attendance record for The Astrodome was set, and with all the fans tickets that were bought already being transfered for Detroit. $3.5 Million was grossed from this, and with of course higher ticket prices from back then, its very much expected that this may very well break the current record grossed amount of $3.9 Million at WrestleMania 18 from the skydome.
The Astrodome is a great venue, and I hope you capture the atmosphere well.
Expect new talent to influx into the WWE before, and after WrestleMania. The first will be a man by the name of `Finlay`, who was/is a trainer for the WWE, and now he is coming to the ring. His debut it said to be happening this month, if not in the up coming weeks, Finlay is expected to debut at the Royal Rumble. He is being said to be joining the SD brand, but its not for certain, yet likely besides that fact. Expect this superstar to have a good impact, and its also said that he's going to be sort of an irishman..
Will be looking forward to see how you push this "Finlay" character lol...
And last but not least, more rumors are surfing of a possible Hogan, Austin, or Rock appearance soon to start a build to a WrestleMania program. All of them could start programs, or non of them could. It depends at this moment if Hogan can work, meaning can he work well with Vince in general abou ta deal, and if not Austin, or Rock are both possibilities for a WrestleMania feud.
Now this could be awesome. Even more awesome would be to see ALL THREE!
I'm kidding. Hogan not so much, but hopefully Austin and Rock are in programs, as it could make this more exciting.
Expect Raw by Friday at the latest, and Wednesday earlier, enjoy the notes.
