Default Re: Legend Presents: World Wrestling Entertainment

Looks like I'm not the only one currently doing a Batista/Taker feud in BTB. Great way to kick off Smackdown as I like how Batista is being booked here, not afraid of Taker, and refusing to back down. The brawl was great booking and I'm looking forward to their match at No Way Out even more now.

Great match to start the show with man. I understand that the point of the match is to build up the tag team match between the two teams at No Way Out. With Regal winning though, I have a feeling that the Mexicools will get the win back at NWO.

The MNM promo was good, but Melina really seemed to be the only one in complete character. The main event should be good though, though I have a feeling that Taker and Batista are going to get into another huge brawl. Kid Kash's interview was good as it got Kash over as a cocky heel, and it looks like we might see a feud between Kash and Noble.

Noble and his team winning was not a surprise as it made sense for Noble to get the win, so should he lose on Sunday, it starts the rivalry between Kash and Noble.

Orton's promo was good despite some of the grammatical errors. As far as Bischoff coming out for the segment, it made the segment even better. Kennedy and Booker were great on the mic, though it's no surprise that Mysterio won the match and Booker attacked him in the post match segment. However I'm surprised that Chavo is going to be Rey's partner for the tag match at NWO. However like Teddy mentioned it's a one time only deal. I have a feeling though that Kennedy is going to get the win for the team and start a feud between himself and Booker.

Great promo from Heyman. Heyman was completely in character, and it looks like you're giving Lashley a push in this thread, albeit a small one. As far as the match goes, I'm surprised and glad that the match was not a squash. However Finlay attacking Lashley was great as it puts over the match some more.

Excellent JBL promo! This was well written from beginning to end. Matt Hardy is attacked by Orlando Jordan, and it looks like a reformation of sorts of The Cabinet. However I have a feeling that Flair will be returning soon, and a possible Mania match between the two will be taking place.

What a way to end the show man! Taker and Batista win by DQ! Mercury attacks Batista and Taker. Londrick returns and attacks MNM and Batista spears Taker. Man, that was all great booking and I can't way for No Way Out man!

Overall Comments: I mentioned before in this thread, that this is a thread that is really good in BTB, and has a lot of momentum heading into a PPV, and then onto Mania. Looking forward to the show.

SmackDown! Review:

Hot opening segment with Batista and The Undertaker. I’ve never quite seen that route taken in a face on face feud involving The Undertaker - where the opposing face points out what could be portrayed as cowardice by The Undertaker. Batista was strong and intense and though I saw a couple of spelling mistakes, it didn’t effect the overall flow. Taker came out and sounded pretty generic with a bunch of his quotes strung together but the brawl made up for it. Nicely done and has me not only looking forward to the main event at No Way Out but their tag match with MNM here tonight.

Ten minutes for Regal and Crazy? Seems quite a bit generous given their standing in the company but this was definitely a strong match up. Not a major shock to see Regal pick up the win neither was it shocking to see the way it went down. I must say I enjoy this team of Regal and Burchill. Solid way to kick the in ring aspect of the night off.

Short, sweet, and to the point. Might’ve had Melina do a bit more of the talking but this was laid out perfectly with the diva clearly taking the dominant role with Mercury and Nitro as angry bit players. Makes sense for them not to want to be in the match as much as it does Teddy to want them there. Nice work.

OOOOOOOOOOH!!! Cruiserweight hype~! And I love it. Big fan of Jamie Noble and I’m rather happy he’s looking to be one of the focal points of the division moving forward. Kash has received some tremendous build up so far and that looks to continue when he retains Sunday and faces Noble at WM. Calling it now!

Noble picking up the win is a smart move and merely reinforces my thinking that Noble is going to step up as the number one challenger after No Way Out heading into WrestleMania.

Another effective segment here, this time, with Eric Bischoff and Randy Orton. You’ve got Orton’s speech, diction and overall flow pretty much down to a T with the … pauses all taking place at the right times. Nice job hammering home Orton’s “raw deal” (no pun intended) that he’s gotten from Long over the past months or so, as it helps to make sense of why Teddy Long would pay him ANY mind. Bischoff’s speech was short but very effective and has made this one of the main selling points of the Sunday show now.

Simple but entertaining stuff done with Kennedy and Booker before the contest; adding a little “something something” to the match up. Mysterio picks up the win to pick up some momentum heading into No Way Out. As expected, he gets the beat down but CHAVO GUERRERO~! Figured he would be Mysterio’s partner. He came over kind out kind of late - Mysterio had gotten his ass kicked for quite a while but it made for more of an impact when he made his appearance. The stipulation announcement is a rather awesome one as well. I see Mysterio picking up the fall and challenging Booker, with KK getting into the MITB Ladder Match.

It’s almost hard to put into words how much I enjoyed this next segment with Lashley. The words were on point as always, but the way you wrote Lashley REACTING to the almost devilish speech (which was enhanced by the Bible reference) from Heyman was just superb. I don’t like to deal out the “feel goods” often but this was as perfect as it possibly could be. Very impressive; Easily the segment of the night.

Would’ve had Lashley come out second as it would have made more sense for him to have more time to come out after just talking with Heyman. As one would expect, Lashley plows right through Holly. The aftermath with Finlay was well done - alluding to Finlay’s tremendous experience and obvious craftiness. Lashley is definitely picking up the win at No Way Out, before his feud with The Undertaker but it was nice to see Finlay not blown away before a loss.

Another awesome segment here. JBL’s Flair impersonation has been done before - in both BTB and reality but that didn’t detract from his great promo. I thought it was borderline detracting from Bradshaw’s feud and match with Matt Hardy but those concerns were quickly put to rest with the attack on Hardy. The Figure-Four was a nice touch as well and managed to do a couple of things at once - building both feuds. I fully expect Naitch to show and cost JBL his match now; Can’t wait for their Mania match.

Awesome main-event. Happily surprised that MNM managed to get in a sufficient amount of offense in on the two biggest stars of the brand. Interference or not, having London and Kendrick in the main event and let alone, aiding Batista and The Undertaker, is a HUGE bump for them. I'd mark if you could make the tag division equal to the heavyweight division. The aftermath with Batista hitting the Spear but Taker sitting up was alright. Didn't love it - mainly because I'm no fan of Taker.

I grow more and more impressed with each passing show. Your match writing has always been solid but your promos and booking continue to do nothing but improve. Congratu-fucking-lations.

Smackdown Feedback:

As promised, here ya go. I know it's a bit delayed but still. Opening promo seemed fine but to me it seemed like Batista just repeated himself a bit too much. 'Taker's parts were fine and the ensuing brawl was of course expected as they normally happen at the show before the PPV.

Huge win for the Blueblood's captain so to speak in Regal. I liked the endign with the Half Nelson as that definently would seem like a sick move. Burchill interfering wasn't really a surprise and I miss his character he had back then. That intense English man character was great.

Another good promo here, really was. Wasn't expecting much as MNM can be generic at times but I did like it. It reminded me of some of their prior promos they used to whine about unfair advantages, etc.

Meh promo there. I didn't really like Kash at all and Noble's speech was rather wrong. Ya'll down here in the South means you all. So really it sounded like Noble was saying You all are going to lose the title. Makes no sense, haha. As for the match, normally I wouldn't really like 3 vs. 3 face matches but considering it's CW's and most of the time they have no build to their matches, it's fine.

Orton's promo was fine but seemed rushed at the end. It was like Bischoff came out there, spoke a few lines, and then bam it's over. Seemed too rushed and more could have came out of it of course. Otherwise, this is probably my favoritest storyline you have going right now as really anything can happen.

Nice to see Kennedy announce his partner's spot as that's rare. Um, no surprise Mysterio took the win tonight and for some reason, I thought Rey already had a tag partner for this Sunday. Maybe I'm forgetting haha. Chavo being the tag partner is interesting too and shame he won't stay on SD! as really, he has nothing going for him over on Raw, tbh.

Heyman's mind games were great and if we get Lashley/'Taker at 'Mania, that would actually be a decent match. Something tells me Lashley will eventually cave in and take Heyman's offer. Also, good win for Lashley over Bob Holly, who really hasn't done much here. The shillelagh shot was rather interesting as I thought a brawl could have been better than a right hand and then a shillelagh shot but it makes sense now I think about it because of 'Taker and Batista's brawl earlier.

Probably the best promo of the night here. JBL is always great in promos and this one was even better. I had no clue Jordan was still with JBL as not many people still have Jordan left in their BTB. The Figure Four was a nice touch and that must have been great to see JBL do it. Long's part in the promo was great as though JBL said only one thing but I could actually picture him saying it, etc. Great promo overall and like I said, this JBL/Flair feud is going to be HOT.

Great main event and the ending doesn't make either one of the teams look weak heading into NWO. Meh, the ending I wasn't fond of as I think both men having just sat up and staring down one another would have been better than a Spear but after I read that 'Taker did sit up after, I was fine with it.

Overall, great show leading into NWO. Nothing really was bad tonight, I saw a few spelling/gramar errors but that normally happens with everybody. So no big problem, here is some NWO predictions.

World Heavyweight Championship:
Batista © vs. The Undertaker

WWE Tag Team Championship:
MNM © vs. The Hooligans

Cruiserweight Championship; Open Invitational:

Tag Team Match:
