Default Re: Legend Presents: World Wrestling Entertainment

Great way to start the show with a very intense Triple H promo. Hunter was completely in character as was Bischoff. Van Dam being suspended was done to gain heel heat and was done well. However McMahon coming to the ring and announcing Van Dam being reinstated was the perfect ending to the great promo. It looks like Hunter and Van Dam will face one another at Mania.

Helms winning the match was expected, and it seems like Helms is in line for a push in this thread. As far as the segment with Edge/Carlito/Lita, I have a feeling that Edge will be using the MITB briefcase at Mania. Hopefully Carlito gets a spot in the MITB match at Mania.

Even though Hass and Benjamin can't get along as a tag team it looks like the two will be facing the Spirit Squad in an upcoming feud.

Surprised to see Victoria win via countout. However based on the ending of the match/segment, a possible heel turn for Mickie might take place.

Great segment with Cena and Bischoff. I think this Michaels/Cena feud is the best feud you have going at the moment. Cena as the intense face in this segment was great.

The Six Man Tag Match looked like a filler match, but was given some decent time, and Chavo gets the pinfall win for the upset win. I wonder if Chavo will be recieving a push in this thread soon?

Tension arises with Mickie and Trish and Ashley, while we see another great promo from JBL. Man this JBL/Flair feud is currently the best feud you have on Smackdown, and it's going to be huge when Flair returns.

Show wins a squash match but fortunately the feud with Show and Kane continues.

This was a great Angle promo here. I like how you're using the fact that Angle has never walked in and walked out of Mania the champion in this storyline.

What a way to end the show! Michaels continues with the mind games and cost Cena and Angle the match here tonight. And with Edge getting the pinfall victory for his team, I have a feeling that Edge will be cashing in his title shot at Mania against the WWE Champion!

Overall Comments: Legend, you are continuing to improve with this thread, and the buildup to Mania has been great. Looking forward to Smackdown and next week's Raw.

Raw Review

Strong promo from Hunter to kick things off. Usually, I wouldn’t like the authority figure (Bischoff in this case) being treated as a lackey of sorts to the star, but you’ve been treating Bischoff as ball-less for a good while now and it came across pretty well in this promo. Hunter’s promo, the Van Dam suspension and subsequent Mr. McMahon appearance tied everything together, developed the premise of their (presumed) WrestleMania match up and gave a feel good moment, in stark contrast to the ending of last week’s show. Nice work.

Not shocking to see Helms pick up the win here, but he seems to be in a state of limbo as he’s waiting for his WrestleMania program to begin. The victory does nothing more than enforce what we already know: Helms is a star on the rise. And I expect him to occupy one of the slots in the Money in the Bank ladder match.

I like the chemistry between Edge and Carlito; they play off of each other well, and it’s nice to see CCC rubbing elbows with someone significantly higher on the totem pole. Edge mentions Batista an awful lot and at the moment I’m banking on that being your SmackDown! main event. The tag team main event is looking particularly solid; expecting some problems between Angle and Cena and possibly an HBK appearance.

Decent segment all around though a bit forced it seemed. Benjamin came off a bit too arrogantly for liking at times and as you would expect, Kenny came off pretty generically. Still an adequate way to forward the storyline between Haas and Benjamin AND the tag team scene.

It’s gotta be heard building a feud that’s already played out on WWE television, while trying to make it unique and your own, but you’re doing a solid enough job her with Mickie, Trish and Ashley. The Mick walks away and her ever so slow heel turn continues.

Loved the intensity from Cena in this promo. It’s the way he should be booked and works well with his “everyman”, tough guy character. A lot of his phrases seemed forced though and didn’t really flow with the promo, but it still came together nicely and is one of the highlights so far.

MOTN so far. Quick question: The Angle Slam used to be called the Olympic Slam and I noticed that Haas used that move. Is that a variation of Angle’s move or is he using the same one?? Zipping along, Chavo picks up the win and much like Helms, he doesn’t seem to have much in store as far as a current feud goes but expect that to change as we inch more and more towards Mania.

Quick segment between Trish and Mickie was okay. We’re still very much in the “opening” stages of this feud, so this didn’t give us to much to go on - just a bit of intrigue to keep this thing going.

Just awesome. I mark for your JBL promos. I don’t think I’ve read one which I didn’t thoroughly enjoy. Bradshaw’s running down of Flair’s injuries and including the cold and flu was golden. Highlight of the night. I hope Flair comes back soon. The exchanges could be legendary; that’s how good your writing has been with this feud so far.

The following match and segment just seemed like a way to keep it going and get both on TV. If you were doing it to fill time, this was the right move, but if you were doing it to make sure that they were on - I would have left Kane and Show off of the program and just had the announcers do a quick recap. Just as effective, in my opinion. Anyway, Kane vs. Big Show doesn’t exactly scream “classic” on the biggest stage of them all, but it should be a spectacle.

Tremendous passion showed by Angle. His character was pretty much dead on point with the talk of being the best and such but I expect him and Cena to pretty much coexist in the main event. Cena-Angle doesn’t look particularly intriguing, since as you alluded to, it’s been done before, but I anticipate Michaels sneaking in there some way.

Strong main event as expected; Cena and Angle were treated as a step or two head of the heels, which could’ve turned out to be detrimental but it worked out perfectly with the Michaels distraction letting them pick up the win, keeping Cena and Angle strong, and continuing the Michaels-Cena build. Good stuff and we’re almost guaranteed to get ourselves a triple threat at WrestleMania with the way HBK’s distraction affected Kurt Angle.

Another quality show, Legend. You seem to be getting consistently better with each and every show; this one being no different. Keep up the good work.

RAW Review
The opening promo was handled nicely; especially the characterizations of Triple H, Eric Bischoff, and Vinnie Mac here were fine. Didn’t like the usage of the word “damn” in this promo because I believe it was over used big time. Caps are getting repetitive though; don’t over use them. The ECW part in this promo was handled nicely too. Great promo, Jonathan. <3

I really hope that this feud here between Helms and Eugene ends tonight. I haven’t really been entertained with this show. Just a bland feud. So hopefully, we see something better for Helms in the future. Good booking choice here too, by having Helms take a win over Eugene. Nice match up, but I hope that this feud ends now. However, I don’t think that this’ll end because Helms used the low blow to beat Eugene. I just hope that this doesn’t continue. Hope.

Loved the way how Carlito burned the fire inside Edge’s body here. I don’t know why, but week after week, Edge insults Batista, and it looks to me that Edge will use his MITB clause against Batista, at SmackDown. I’m interested to know it, bro. Nice promo too, hyping up the main event of tonight’s show.

Currently, there are three feuds in your BTB that I enjoy reading more, and they are Lashley/Heyman-The Undertaker, HBK-Cena, and Benjamin-Haas. Once again, you entertained me, and I’m still liking the way you’re building up an upcoming feud between them. Should be an awesome rivalry. Also, onto the promo; surprisingly, everyone (and that includes everyone) entertained me here. Not generic.

Loved how Victoria destroyed Ashley last week, btw. The situation between the women’s division is really getting interesting week after week. Didn’t expect Mickie to just give the win to Victoria via count out. Looks like a good booking decision, and you know it, I’m interested to know what’s gonna happen next.

Nice promo again that actually hypes up the main event, and the feud of Shawn Michaels and John Cena. Bischoff and Cena’s characters looked fine to me in this promo, but some words repeat a lot in your promos, and I don’t really like the flow of the promo after reading repetitive words in it. The promo ended in a great way though. Nice promo, but just try to avoid repeating some words, and keep the dots (…) away. The dots also don’t need to repeat most of the times. Also, the main event of WM needs build up too – Don’t forget.

I wasn’t really excited about this match up, but the amount present in this match up was great, and it made me feel good about this match. Loved the ending specially, with Chavo creating a huge upset. Chavo vs. Masters wouldn’t be a feud that I’d like to read, btw, but I’ll give a chance. I’ll see what you can do with these two workers, and let’s see what you do with Benjamin and Haas too.

Glad that this promo was kept short and sweet. Loving the way how this feud between the women’s is progressing too. After reading this promo, I expect either a triple threat or a fatal four way match at WM for the title. I could be wrong though, so let’s find out. Mickie was outstanding in this promo though.

Wow. I’m loving the creative ideas that you’re bringing in for this feud between JBL and Ric Flair. JBL was once again… great. The flow seemed good to me, and the length was just fine. Good promo to add more fuel to the feud between JBL and Flair. The “fractured cheek bone…” paragraph was just awesome. Made me laugh. Great promo.

We get ourselves a typical squash match here. Good for Big Show’s dominance, but the aftermath was even more interesting. Just like Peter, I’m also thinking for some sort of a gimmick match between Big Show and Kane at WM.

Thankfully we get to hear something from the WWE Champion. The promo itself started way too off, but then in the ending, it got better. Those three dots everywhere in this promo just killed the flow to me. Didn’t feel this promo to be honest with you. But when Angle started talking about Cena, it got better. The main event of the WM still needs MORE build up, but you’re still focusing on the Cena-Michaels feud.

Great main event, and at the first time I read Edge pin Cena – I was shocked. I re-read it, and took a sigh. Cena doesn’t really look weak after getting a loss here. HBK’s music hitting, and distracting Cena was the perfect way to end this match, but still, the main event of WM needs more build up than this. Let’s see what you do next week though, but I just hope that the WM’s main event gets its real build up. Solid show.

WWE Friday Night SmackDown! Preview February 17th, 2006

This week Friday Night SmackDown! comes to you from Norfolk, Viginia a mere seventy-two hours away from SmackDown's first huge PPV of the year: No Way Out.

And what a Main Event General Manager has confirmed for this Friday. On wwe.com, Long announced that it would be the men that assaulted the team of Paul London and Brian Kendrick last week, the WWE Tag Team Champions MNM, facing off against not only the legendary Undertaker, but also the "Phenom's" No Way Out opponent, the World Heavyweight Champion Batista! For the last few months we have witnessed the rivalry between Batista and The Undertaker grow, and in just two nights it comes to a head, but will they be able to co-exist, or will they simply want to tear one another apart? MNM are perhaps the perfect team to capitalise on this dysfunctional tandom, but will they be too pre-occupied with their No Way Out challengers in London and Kendrick?

Last week, having finally had enough of the months and months of war between John 'Bradshaw' Layfield and Matt Hardy, Teddy Long gave the fans what they wanted and made a decisive match between the two for No Way Out. Hardy has been defending the honour of "The Nature Boy" Ric Flair ever since JBL put the sixteen-time World Champion out of action at the Royal Rumble, and last week interrupted Bradshaw's so-called 'Nature Boy Dedication Ceremony.' Will we see another confrontation between the two tonight, or will JBL continue on his jealous rampage against Ric Flair and all those who respect him?

Maybe the most hated man on the SmackDown! roster right now, Randy Orton last week told the world that he would not wrestle on Friday nights until Teddy Long gave into his demands and gave him another shot at the World Heavyweight Championship. Long has until No Way Out to give his answer, ot Orton has promised to take his ball and go to Monday Night Raw. Will the "Legend Killer" get what he wants, ot will Teddy Long show some more of that fighting spirit we have all come to respect?

The combustible Bobby Lashley will be in attendance also in Norfolk, still showing a new side to his personality, ever since his confrontation with The Undertaker at the Royal Rumble. Two men have made it their business to get in Lashley's way since them: one of them, the Fighting Irishman Finlay will face Lashley at No Way Out in what should be the most physical contest of the evening; the other, the returning Paul Heyman, has been dropping hints and persuing Lashley over the past few weeks. Will we discover his agenda tonight?

Rey Mysterio will also be in action, as he gets in some preparation ahead of his huge tag team match at No Way Out. It will be the team of Mr. Kennedy and the United States Champion taking on Rey Mysterio and an as of yet unannounced partner. Mysterio has had his problems with both Kennedy and Booker for weeks now, but does he still have an ace up his sleeve?

Last week, Cruiserweight Champion Kid Kash issued an Open Challenge for No Way Out to all cruiserweights, and tonight we will get a look at some of his competition, as Teddy Long has promised us a cruiserweight showcase tag team match up.

Also, watch out for the team of William Regal and Paul Burchill, as they look to get one over on their rivals, the Mexicools. They will all be in attendance in Virginia. Friday Night SmackDown! at 8/7 central on Friday night. Don't miss it; it's going to be a SmackDown! to remember...

With three more days to go for No Way Out, SmackDown looks really great. You've build up WM and No Way Out perfectly, so I expect nothing but a solid show. MNM vs. Batista and Taker would be good, and I won't be surprised if Taker and Batista have some miscoummincations with each other. The JBL/Matt Hardy storyline, and Lashley-Heyman/Finlay looks intriguing too. All the matches, especially the cruiserweight showcase tag team looks good. I know that you'll build up this cruiserweight match for No Way Out greatly because you're a huge mark of Kid Kash. Looking forward to the entire show, Jonathan. Should be an awesome show.

Looks like a strong show coming up. I know Batista and The Undertaker are the two top stars of the brand, but I think MNM can get a much needed rub if they are able to hang with them in the main event.

JBL promo plz.

Yeh, I read the last Smackdown that you posted so most of this stuff is still fresh on my mind. I'm guessing you're going to be posting it soon so whenever you do get it up, I'll give you some feedback on Smackdown.

Now onto the show, MNM vs. 'Tista/'Taker is going to be huge. Really is. But the main thing I'm looking into is that Orton storyline. Hopefully more will be revealed, lol.

Anyways, like I said, I'll hit you up with a review on this later when you get it up.

SmackDown; February 17th, 2006; Norfolk, Virginia;

~ Opening Video

~ Pyro

The crowd is on their feet in Columbus, as we quickly cut across to Michael Cole and Tazz at ringside.

Michael Cole: We are just Forty-Eight hours away from SmackDown’s first Pay-per-view of the year, we are forty-eight hours away from No Way Out, and we welcome you to Norfolk, Virginia for one hell of a show.

Tazz: No doubt, no doubt, Cole. We’ve got some Cruiserweight action lined up for tonight ahead of Kid Kash’s invitational this Sunday, and you know how much I love the Cruiserweights, baby.

Michael Cole: Not only that, but we will see William Regal and Super Crazy in one-on-one action ahead of their tag team match at No Way Out, as will Rey Mysterio. But I’m most excited about our Main Event tonight.

Tazz: Oh, man, me too, Cole. Teddy Long made the announcement in the week and it’s gonna go down right here tonight. The WWE Tag Team Champions MNM taking on the team of … The Undertaker … and his No Way Out opponent … the World Champ Batista! Oh man!

***I Walk Alone*** The crowd EXPLODES with a tremendous reception for their World Heavyweight Champion, Batista, who marches down the ramp in a suit, leather jacket and shades, looking dapper as always. He carries his title belt, as he sets off his thunderous pyro and enters the ring.

Batista calls for a microphone from Tony Chimel and is handed one immediately. “The Animal” waits for the crowd to die down a little, soaking in the “Batista” chants, before raising the mic up.

Batista: Y’know, I’ve held this title (pats belt) right here for ten months – that’s ten months. Almost a year. I’ve faced guys from Triple H (huge heat), to JBL (huge heat), to Eddie Guerrero (great pop), and Randy Orton (huge heat). I’ve faced all of them … but not ONE of those men has ever got me as PISSED OFF as I feel right now!

Pop from the crowd.

Batista: Ever since I came to this place four years ago … all I’ve done is fight, all I’ve done is look my enemies – all I’ve done is look my OPPONENTS in the eyes … and beaten them one after the other. What I don’t like – what I HATE … is when you face someone who won’t look you in the eye – when they won’t stand with you toe-to-toe … and when all they wanna do is get inside your head – play MID GAMES – and try (Smirks) to intimidate you.

Slightly mixed reaction, as the fans know who Dave is referring to.

Batista: But I AM NOT intimidated. I’m pissed off, I’m angry, I’m just about ready to snap – but there is NO ONE, and I sure as hell mean NO ONE, on this planet that can intimidate me, NO ONE that can make me nervous, and there is NO ONE who I am afraid of!

Crowd pops.

Batista: Undertaker…

MASSIVE pop from the fans, and ‘Tista looks a little taken aback.

Batista: Undertaker, let me just remind of something. I have held this title (Holds up World title) longer than you EVER have in your entire … long … ‘illustrious’ … career. I have made it my LIFE to CRUSH whoever and (Removes shades) is put in front of me. Game? Wrestling God? Legend Killer? Or … Deadman? They’re all the same to me.

Mixed response.

Batista: So this is how this is supposed to go right? I come out here now and talk … but The Undertaker … DOES … NOT … SHOW UP. He comes down to the ring whenever the HELL he wants to and makes some kind of a statement? Am I getting this right so far? WELL THAT STOPS TONIGHT!

A big pop this time for Batista, who boils with intensity.

Batista: Now, Undertaker, I’m gonna tell YOU how this is going to happen. See, tonight, there isn’t gonna be any mind games … there isn’t gonna be any arena blackouts … our sneak attacks … or disappearances. All there’s gonna be is YOU … Undertaker … dragging your ass down to this ring RIGHT … NOW!!!

Huge cheers from the fans.

Batista: Now, I know we have our match tonight … I know that we’re supposed to team up tonight to take on MNM … and don’t think I’ve forgotten for a SECOND what happened the last team you were my partner in a tag team match.

‘Tista fumes.

Batista: When you left me in the ring so that Booker T and Randy Orton could damn near cripple my quad? Remember that, Deadman? I sure as hell do. I know how your sick mind works … so just in case you try and little stunt like that again tonight…

A small “Rest In Piece” chant cuts ‘Tista off momentarily, and he gazes up.

Batista: Just in case you try and pull that stunt again … or Chokeslam me like you did a few weeks back … remember that I’m gonna be watching you all the time … and payback … well, let’s just say payback is a BITCH!!!

Another VERY mixed reaction for Batista’s intensity.

Batista: But I’m not waiting for later tonight – hell, I’m not waiting till this Sunday. I calling YOU out, Undertaker. I wanna see if the hype is all true … I wanna see if you really are the BADDEST … TOUGHEST … MEANEST guy that has ever set foot in this ring. Or are you nothing but … A COWARD!!!

The crowd actually boos now.

Batista: SO C’MON THEN, ‘TAKER … GET OUT HERE … NOW!!!

The fans are cheering too, clearly desperate for The Undertaker to make an appearance too. Batista is pacing up and down like the furious beast he is, ignoring the “Undertaker” chants reverberating around the arena.

Batista looks set to go backstage and drag the “Phenom” out, when…

*GONG*

The crowd pops with an incredible ovation as Batista lets go of the ropes and looks around the arena.

*GONG*

The lights go out.

*GONG*

The lights come back on and the audience goes wild as THE UNDERTAKER comes face to face with “The Animal”!!! Batista fumes, as the two giants step toe-to-toe with the other, nose-to-nose. The crowd is on their feet for this confrontation … and Undertaker raises his hand … but he has a microphone!

The Undertaker: BATISSSTTAA … three weeks ago at the Royal Rumble … this (Points to head) blood ran. When the blood flowed, I took it, and I signed … your death warrant with ITTTTT!!!

Batista barely flinches.

The Undertaker: You say you have held that GOOLLLDDDDD … around your waist for one … long … year? Well … the time … HAS NOW COME! The darkness has marked your name, Batista … the end has now arrived … as you currently hold … THE ONE THING THAT I TRULY DESIRE … THE WORLD HEAVYWEIGHT CHAMPIONSHIPPPPP!!!!

Huge pop, and Batista holds his belt firmly.

The Undertaker: This Sunday … there will be … NO … WAY … OUT! This Sunday … the year long reign of the “ANIMAL” WILL BE SLAIN by the hand of the “Dragon”. You have looked into his eyes before, Batista … AND YOU TREMBLED!!!
