WWE: The Comeback
Quote:
After Summerslam, despite it being a semi-successful Pay Per View, Vince McMahon knew what he had to do to make the WWE a better place. After all, the ratings had been dropping steadily for nearly a year now. Vince declared, "After Summerslam, WWE will make it's almighty comeback!".
The first step to becoming a better company was to make roster cuts. From Raw, Vladimir Kozlov was the lone man cut. From Smackdown however, there were many changes. The Boogeyman, Paul Birchill, Tatanka David Taylor, Simon Dean, Nunzio, Vito, and Sylvan were all cut. Another change came too. Kane and Kurt Angle were traded to Smackdown for Chris Benoit and Joey Mercury.
The second step was a hard one for Vince. After looking at all the ratings closely, he saw one show was no where near the expectations. ECW was failing by the minute and there was nothing Vince could do about it; except for cancel it. That he did, and all the ECW wrestlers except 6 were either released or sent back to OVW.
Vince also found a way to resign former superstars to Raw and Smackdown. He found a way for 6 figures to make their return to the WWE.
Will WWE make it's "comeback? Or will Vince's hard work to improve it fail?

Re: WWE: The Comback
This is quite impressive as I like the main roster changes. I like Boogeyman and his gimmick so I don't like how he was released. The main thing I like is Mercury and Benoit going to Raw. Benoit can have some main event type matches with HBK. Also Mercury can either reform MNM or feud with Nitro for the title. The Only thing I would've done is get the Hardyz together on one of the shows, they're a great tag team.
Anyways good luck and I hope we can exchange reviews.

Get off the forum then, re****ers aren't welcome here.
This looks great guys, the roster cuts were good but the trade looked a bit one sided. Nice results for Summerslam, and the ECW superstars not being revealed makes something to look forward to so good job and good luck. I think you made a typo in the thread title by the way.

Well as for the trade. He had plans for Kane, and at that time, Kane was on Raw. I put him on the Raw and Smackdown roster though. So that made Kane and Benoit. Then he said I could have Mercury and he got Angle because he wanted him, but he thought he was in TNA. Angle quit the WWE Aug. 25, and Summerslam was before that. So I gave him up.
And thank you so much Jae. I never noticed that typo! lol. Gotta get it corrected. Thanks.
And I will post the Raw preview after a few more replies. Thanks to all the repliers so far.

Re: WWE: The Comback
I like what I've seen so far.... This should be exiting. Although I don't like the release of the Boogeyman. But what I do like is the trades. Kane on SD could re-unite The Brothers of Destruction, and Benoit on Raw could give him some great Main Event competition. I'll be watching and reviewing.

Re: WWE: The Comback
Looks good Nathan. I'm glad you finally got back on your feet.
Are we going to do the BTB Idol Tournament this year? I'd love to help.
