Enslaved Comments

Very good promo to kick start the show, Cruiserweight Title gives something for the Cruiserweights on your show to scrap over and four solid guys to be put in the match. Benoit retiring was the best way to go around getting him off the show. Jericho/Joe confrontation was very good, and I liked the way that you got both Jericho and Joe’s different characters across. Joe/Christian should be good, and I am expecting that eventually both Jericho and Joe get into a title match leading to a triple threat match.

Not surprised to see LAX get involved, as I expected that when they came down to the ring. Sounded like a very good match, and I have a feeling that we might get a triple threat tag team match in the future.

Rhyno promo was a very good intense promo, and his character was good. Noble being pushed straight into a feud with Rhyno is good to see, as he deserves a push.

Lesnar squashing people like a bug is always good to see. But him being in proper feuds and matches is a lot more entertaining.

Another good on character promo here from Christian to hype up his match with Joe, as KOP said you got both sides of Christian off very well and look forward to his match with Joe on the next show.

Loving the way you are booking Noble, especially with the way you made him walk out of his match with Rhyno. Keeps both men looking strong. Also good to see a botch happening in this thread, as I can only think of Szumi who otherwise writes a botch in his matches.

Decent promo here hyping the Cruiserweight division, one too many appearances for Jamie though I believe.

Good intense promo by Hassan, was a shame what happened to him IRL as I liked him a lot back then. However good to see him getting a push in this thread, was expecting to see CM Punk come out any time however.

Fantastic main event which was very well written, and despite it’s length kept my interest throughout. Very brutal match would of expected a better ending to the match however seeing how brutal the match was, but however make Edge’s finisher look very strong. Lol at Styles after the match, exactly what he would say.

Overall was a great show, some very good booking and some great matches and promos throughout kept my interest. Look forward to your next show.

I wonder who the mystery men are. My bets are on Roderick Strong (due to the Double Underhook Powerbomb move) and Jack Evans, Aries's stablemates in Generation Next.

Nick_619 Review
Roster: I enjoyed reading your roster and who you have on it. I found that the Pacific Championship is a great title and well thought of. 9/10

Backstory- I like the way you have gone into full detail with the backstory, good idea with the fan and Heyman having Coffee. I liked that bit with the fan and how Heyman decideds to re boot the wrestling company which was very good and was hooked on with it. 10/10
Opening promo- The promo between Jericho and Cage was great and very detailed and well done. The commentary was great but just to point out there were a couple of "made up" words that the people do not use 8/10
Matches- Big drop with the matches how there was only one. I would have expected a bit better show reading that GREAT backstory but there is always room for improvement 4/10
Main Event- Another Big drop is also doing the Main Event in recap also lowered some marks. The reason is because you done one match full and then switched too recap. I suggest you stick to one 5/10
Grammar- No spelling Mistakes or Grammar 10/10
Overall Rating: 46/60 76.6%

Crusierweight division, huh? Sweet add. A lot of cats can't pull off the Crusierweight division, but I think you can do it. I hope Bryan Danielson can pull it off. Benoit loses his number one contender's spot. A shocking twist. Very unexpected. Well, Benoit's retirement was almost expected, though. Joe and Jericho coming out was a nice way to rekindle the feud. Christian Cage is a nice add. I kinda wanna see a No. 1 contender's match between the three, but it's cool.

Ah. So the ride of momentum for LAX continues. This is kinda a drag. I mean, yes. They've established themselves, but whose gonna oppose them? The WGTT. I'm just interested to see where you're taking this.

Rhino seemed in character in his interview. Fired up and set to go.

Not too sure about this one. I mean, yeah, it's an okay Jamie Noble promo, but I supose it was okay.

Another Lesnar squash. I mean, damn, PANA! What the hell! These Lesnar squash matches are getting super old super quickly. If you don't put him in some sort of feud, I'm gonna explode into a million pieces! Seriously! I mean, damn! Okay, that's enough of that.

A very long, yet in character, Christian Cage promo. I liked it. Hoping to see Jericho added to this sha-bang anyway.

Noble/Rhino, huh? I loved when Jamie missed the hurricanranna. Very original and laughable. Awesome heel tactic with Rhino running off. A very good move. Hopefully, a rematch at some point.

Great way to promote the crusierweight match. I like how this Austin/Danielson feud is turning out. Looking forward to the match!

Great Haasan promo. He was very much in character. Good to see he at least made an appearance before his match at the PPV. I look forward to a violent and exciting confrontation.

Sweet confrontation between the two. Awesome main event. A lot of innovative and violent moves that brought back the spirit of the old ECW. As usual, PANA, you delivered. A great legitamate win for Edge. I'm glad he retained. He's a goo superstar. Hopefully, RVD can recover from this huge loss and move on. I predict it'll be Edge/Samoa Joe at the PPV.

Overall: 95/100 = A

How do you and Boogey do it, man? You guys always seem to be able to pull it off. Me, on the other hand. I can't hold a show together without something happening. However, I'll give it another shot. I believe I can pull it off this time around. Your doing an awesome job, man. I look forward to your next exciting episode. I'll be reading.

Enslaved Review

Bryan Danielson is far too talented to be in the ring with anybody who does not hold the EPW Championship. Begin the motherfucking mega push plz. Still, the announcement of the Cruiserweight Championship {and the match to announce the champion} was well-executed. Benoit gone? Alrighty then. Loving heel Chris Jericho; golden here. Not sure why Jericho being out at the moment would change the Jericho-Joe match. Still, a rock solid main event level match booked for next week’s show.

While I enjoy LAX (or did before TNA completely dropped the ball with them), I thought this was only a decent segment overall. The match was quite strong, as you manage to get more out of your recaps than just about everyone else, but the aftermath left quite a bit to be desired. Seemed pretty tame when compared to the Border Toss into the steel. Probably should’ve ended it with that.

Rhino sucks. Promo was decent for what it was (and who it was), but I’d rather Noble get mic time to put this feud over.

‘Redneck Messiah’? I love it. Haven’t the faintest idea of what’s going on in this angle. One of the detriments of coming in mid-thread. :[

Squash. Better stuff for Lesnar is needed though, imo.

THE CAPTAIN~! The promo was actually pretty generic until the second to last paragraph, where he started to sound like he wasn’t just going through the motions.

Lol @ the ‘you fucked up’ spot. Countout finish doesn’t shocked me, as I figured we get a copout finish here, though I do wonder what Rhino will do in the coming weeks since Noble is in the CW picture.

I marked out for the attack on Aries. Dragon is awesome beyond belief, though the way the finish was written, I was confused. I don’t know who’s eyes Danielson was starting into. I’m guessing Noble, since that would his confusion.

Hassan’s promo/beat down from last week’s show was good stuff. First promo I’ve read that didn’t revolve around the victim/Arab gimmick he played in the WWE. Definitely a nice change of pace.

This week’s interview didn’t start off nearly as well, however. Hassan didn’t sound like a heel, or even a legitimate wrestler either. “… he made me and Daivari look like complete idiots when he still managed to defeat Sonjay Dutt despite our constant interference.” lmao, no one’s that honest. Picked up after that, and became a nice vehicle to hype the feud between Punk and Hassan. Stay away from the racist-victim stuff though plz.

Hey, asshole, we call 'em garbage cans here too sometimes. Sick main event, taking complete advantage of the No Holds Barred stip. I gotta say that this match was in stark contrast to the rest of the show, which has a decidedly smarkish flavor (in the good way). Anywho, I didn't hate the finish, as it put over Edge's finisher and I think Van Dam crashing and burning from the Five Star set it up perfectly. Strong finish to a good show.

EPW Online Oblivion Results

Match 1: Bryan Danielson def. Colt Cabana @ 9:32
In a solid match, that the crowd actually got into quite a bit, Danielson managed to force Colt to submit to The Cattle Mutilation. After the match The American Dragon beat the crap out of Cabana, and then got on the microphone and threatened all the Cruiserweights in EPW and tells them to take notice because if he can do what he’s just done to a guy Colt’s size, then imagine what he can do to a Cruiserweight.

In the Enslaved recap, we see Paul Heyman’s announcements at the start of the show. After that we’re treated to another showing of the destruction of The Latin American Exchange during the Juventud Guerrera & Psicosis versus The Worlds Greatest Tag Team match up. We’re shown a few cut outs of the Muhammad Hassan promo before the Enslaved recap ends with a few minutes of the Main Event Extreme Rules match between Edge and Rob Van Dam.

Match 2: Hernandez & Homicide def. The Dudley Boyz @ 14:39
In a much better match than the last time these two teams met, but it’s still not very good because The Dudleyz are shit now. The momentum swings several times, The Dudleyz were in control largely at one stage as they looked set to hit the 3-D on Homicide, but fortunately for the Notorious One, Hernandez made the save, taking out Bubba-Ray with a huge Spear just before they could complete the 3-D. This proved to be the major point of the match as from there after, LAX dominated and after a bit of help from Konnan on the outside, the Tag Team Champions showed their sublime team work and managed to nail the Elevated Diving Bulldog to Bubba to finish off the match.

The following is from PWInsider:

Quote:
The Samoa Joe/Paul Heyman situation is expected to take another twist in the next few weeks. In an effort of what’s supposed to be Samoa Joe trying to impress Paul Heyman in order to gain a World Title show, it’s expected that many ECW Legends will be thrown in against him. Whether he runs over them or not is still unknown, but the storyline is expected to start as soon as next week. This storyline is expected to firmly establish Samoa Joe as a Main Eventer and may even result in him winning the EPW World Championship.

With the Cruiserweight Championship being bought into EPW, it’s expected that several big names will be introduced into the company. At this stage Billy Kidman and possibly Kid Kash seem EPW bound, while discussions have also been held with Mexican Superstar, Mistico and legendary Cruiserweight, Ultimo Dragon.

The CM Punk – Muhammad Hassan feud is expected to be a lengthy one. As of this moment, Punk is scheduled to come out on top in the feud but Heyman and co are said to be very pleased with Hassan at the moment and he may come out of the feud looking the better, but they still have no intention of ending CM Punk’s undefeated streak (ie. No pinfall/submission). The feud is likely to span 2 or possibly even 3 Pay Per Views. Don’t expect to see their match at Redemption be a 20 minute epic, because the card is expected to be stacked thus meaning the Pacific Championship match may be shortened as a result. Down the track though, these two could be involved in a very long match mainly because Heyman is keen to showcase CM Punk in a long match to show what he can really do.

Rob Van Dam’s debut is thought to be a huge success. Van Dam was always going to be Edge’s mystery opponent, but before Chris Benoit was forced into retirement, RVD was actually supposed to be injured in kayfabe by Edge so he could get some time off but now with Benoit gone it’s likely RVD will continue on for a little while before having a few weeks off.

RVD’s debut isn’t the only major coup for the company, as another huge name is expected to debut in the next few weeks. As of this stage we are unsure as to who it will be, most signs point towards The Big Show being that man, but that is mostly speculation. Abyss is another name that has been thrown around, but his isn’t really a main steam name.

Finally, don’t expect to see the Tag Titles reign of The Latin American Exchange end anytime soon. LAX are said to be the safest champions of the three in the company. Heyman wants them booked as a dominant force, that can take out anyone and with them interfering in any tag team match we see at the moment, it’s hard to argue that they aren’t.
OOC: Well, that’s that. Just wanted to kick a bit of life into the thread. Thank you everyone for your reviews, they’ll be returned soon. At this stage I want to check out KOP’s Royal Rumble first and foremost. I need to leave some comments on Reney’s Raw and Legend’s SD when he gets it up too. Also I’ll be checking out Kane01’s No Mercy when he posts that as well. Next show will be up in a few days. I don’t have time for a preview, but since it’s a recap it’ll be okay. It’s by no means a huge show, just one to advance a few storylines and get us closer to the PPV. Hence why it’s in recap. Not really expecting any reviews for Online Oblivion since there's nothing to review.

Yes, basically. It's a 30 minute internet based show, just to give a little bit more exposure to talent that don't always get a gig in the one hour Enslaved timeslot. It's not much and it never will be more than a couple of lines explanation. This was the first edition of it and it'll continue on for a while yet.

Hm. So here we are. First ever Recap of Enslaved, next weeks will be the same. This show is more of a filler, just to progress a few storylines with nothing dramatic in it, hence why it's recapped. I'm not expecting much in terms of reviews because I never offer a great deal in my feedback of recaps, but any comments are welcomed and highly appreciated.

RECAP - May 16

Enslaved by the Motley Crue blares out and around the Hammerstein Ballroom as Joey Styles and Kevin Nash welcome us to the show and gives us a run down of the agenda for the evening namely Christian Cage taking on Samoa Joe which will be a chance to impress Paul Heyman before he names a new Number One Contender as well as the first Cruiserweight Showcase match being held tonight featuring Austin Aries and an unknown opponent.

The fans are hot for the start of the show until Edge’s music blurs out and around the Hammerstein Ballroom. The World Champion is greeted by huge heat is he made his way out with his belt secured around his waist. Edge immediately grabs a microphone and proclaims that tonight is a great tonight because it is the first time in weeks he has not been involved in a big match. He goes on to say that tonight the champ can rest after he miraculously managed to hold on to his World Championship. He reminds us in that recent weeks he’s managed to convincingly defeat the likes of Chris Benoit, Rhino, Christian Cage and Rob Van Dam. He then says not only did he beat RVD but he decimated him, he destroyed him and he said with that his hopes of becoming EPW Champion were shattered as well. Naturally the crowd shits on his words before Edge goes on one of his typical pissing and moaning rants about the fans not giving him the proper respect that he not only deserves, but he has earned! He goes on to say that he is the most dominant champion in the history of Professional Wrestling and he challenges anyone in the back to prove him wrong. And shock horror, with that said out comes Rob Van Dam to a massive ovation. RVD struts out with his head bandaged and microphone in hand before staying at the top of the aisle to say his piece but he can’t even get a word in as Edge immediately cuts him off saying that Van Dam shouldn’t have bothered showing up tonight because last week he beat him at his own game he beat him under Extreme Rules, that means no more second chances, he goes to the back of the cue and needs to earn another shot. RVD says that’s exactly what he intends on doing if he has to but luckily for him it’s not Edge that makes that decision – it’s Paul Heyman and if Heyman grants him another rematch he guarantees that the winner and NEW EPW World Champion will be none other than “everybody’s favourite wrestler… and mine, ROB VAN DAM!” RVD does his thumb taunt as the fans chant along as WALK hits again and RVD leaves the arena as we head to a commercial.

- COMMERCIAL -

In the first match of the night we have our first CRUISERWEIGHT SHOWCASE match which pits the undefeated Austin Aries against BILLY KIDMAN! Kidman arrived to a decent reaction. The two put on a fast paced match with plenty of high-flying and reversals. Just when it looks like Aries is about to put Kidman away after he nailed a Brainbuster and he headed to the top rope, presumably for the 450 but Jamie Noble came running down the aisle and jumps up on the apron but he is met with a boot to the face from Aries, knocking him down to the floor before he leaps off the top rope and nails the 450 Splash to perfection. Aries gets the win @ 5:29 but isn’t given any time to celebrate as Noble slides into the ring and immediately starts laying the beat down on to the victor before eventually nailing the DOUBLE KNEE GUTBUSTER! Noble then locks in the STF to Aries all the while Bryan Danielson walks out to the top of the aisle simply taking things in with a wry smile on his face as suddenly the two unknown accomplices of Austin Aries run down the aisle to make the save for Aries causing Noble to exit the ring before they can lay a hand on him.

The camera heads backstage to find CM Punk walking down an aisle when he is grabbed my Maria and she asks his thoughts on Muhammad Hassan and Daivari’s assault on Colt Cabana, Aries and himself, two weeks ago? Punk says this is now much more than just about the Pacific Championship. He says Hassan took it upon himself to make this personal between them, not only did he take him out but he took out two people that he has more respect for then he will ever have for Hassan. Punk then says that Hassan is going to find out the hard way that his obsession is Wrestling and that his addiction is competition so that means he’s going to stop at nothing to make sure he holds on to the Pacific Championship while exposing Hassan for the fraud that he is as well. He then reminds Hassan that his name is CM Punk and he is better than him.

Bryan Danielson then appears on camera in another backstage location with a wry smirk on his face, fresh off his little cameo appearance only moments ago. The American Dragon says he’s in a great mood at the moment because he’s just watched three of his opponents at Redemption beat the hell out of each other, he says he’s quite happy to sit back and watch his opponents destroy each other prior to the Pay Per View thus making them easier targets for him. Danielson says at Redemption he will prove to the World and more specifically to Austin Aries that he is the Best Wrestler on the Planet when he out classes nine other competitors and becomes the inaugural EPW Cruiserweight Champion.

- COMMERCIAL -

We return from Commercial to see Brock Lesnar making his way to the ring with a big shower of heat being thrown upon him. The familiar music of Colt Cabana then hits and the popular youngster then makes his way down to the ring in his usual upbeat fashion but he is naturally very sceptical. Colt puts up a bit of a challenge to Brock but we all know this is just a glorified squash as eventually Lesnar’s power becomes too much as the finish of the match arrived after Lesnar nailed a Spinebuster to Cabana as he shot off the ropes which he followed up with a Powerbomb before finishing Colt off with a devastating F5 @ 3:49

Once the bell rings Lesnar requests a microphone and starts proclaiming that he is unstoppable~! He goes on to say that Christian Cage’s win at Out of Exile was nothing but a fluke and if it wasn’t for the referee getting knocked unconscious he would never have lost. He then reiterates that he is the most dominant force in EPW and no one in that locker room can beat him.

Paul Heyman then appears on screen backstage. He introduces himself and says that he hopes that we are enjoying the show this evening. He puts over the situation with the Number One Contendership to the EPW World Championship, he says there are many possible candidates such as Christian Cage and Samoa Joe and tonight those two have a match that will go a long way towards determining who will have the opportunity to face Edge for the World Championship at Redemption. He then focuses his attention to Samoa Joe. He says that Joe wants to impress him and he knows it, Heyman says for Joe to make the most of his match against Christian tonight because it’s the last time for an INDEFINITE amount of time that his matches WILL NOT have a stipulation. He says starting next week every one of his SINGLES matches will have a certain stipulation. Heyman says in order to impress him Joe needs to show him that he’s willing to do whatever it takes, he needs to do have the heart, the passion, the desire and the will to prove that he wants the EPW World Championship by taking things to the EXTREME! Heyman closes by reminding Samoa Joe that he’ll be watching his match tonight against Christian before wishing him luck and walking off camera.

- COMMERCIAL -

We return to commercial to see the entrances of Juventud Guerrera and Psicosis before The Dudley Boyz then make their way out to an absolutely huge ovation. The two teams put on a good match, well as good as can be expected from a match involving The Dudleyz. Juvi and Psicosis dominate for the most part, using their speed to really get the upper-hand and ware out The Dudleyz. Eventually though the momentum swings and Bubba-Ray Dudley manages to bust out a couple of big power moves and put the brothers back in control before they subsequently nail the 3D to Juventud Guerrera, but as soon as the referee is about to make his third count he is PULLED OUT OF THE RING BY HOMICIDE! LAX IN THE HOUSE! The crowd unleash a massive mixed reaction as Psicosis leaps down off the apron but ‘Cide dodges it and nails the GRINGO KILLA on the outside meanwhile Hernandez is in the ring fending off both of the Dudley Boyz with Juventud Guerrera still laid out following the 3D. The match is ruled a No Contest @ 5:24 while Bubba and D-Von double team Hernandez, as they both whip him off the rope but Hernandez explodes off the ropes and nails a double clothesline, knocking them both down. Hernandez brings D-Von to his feet before throwing him over the top rope and down to the floor, he then turns to see Bubba rising to his feet but he wastes no time as sets the fat lump up and nails the BORDER TOSS! The crowd shits on Hernandez as THE WORLDS GREATEST TAG TEAM hit the ring! The crowd pops big for Shelton and Haas. Haas is the first to advance at Hernandez but he is taken down by a huge CRACKERJACK! Shelton then goes after Hernandez, as the two trade right hands when suddenly a loud CRACK is heard around the ballroom! Homicide has inadvertently taken out Hernandez with a steel chair. Homicide was lining Shelton up for the chair shot, but Benjamin saw it coming and ducked it cuasing ‘Cide to crack Hernandez right over the fucking head. Homicide looks absolutely stunned at what he’s just done when suddenly Shelton Benjamin nails SUPERKICK out of no where knocking down the smaller of the tag champs to the floor. Shelton grabs the steel chair and lays it on the canvas before he picks up Homicide and nails the T Bone Suplex! The crowd pops huge as Shelton Benjamin is the only man left on his feet with a heap of bodies down around him. Haas slowly rises to his feet as the two celebrate, playing the crowd who seem to finally really be getting behind them.

We then head backstage where we see a sore looking Austin Aries standing by with Christy Hemme. Austin says for the past couple of weeks, everyone has been wondering who the hell these two guys are that have been following him around. The two mystery guys step into picture. Aries said that it’s now the time for answers, he says next week these two make their debuts in a tag match against Muhammad Hassan and Daivari. Aries then reveals his friends to be none other than RODERICK STRONG and ALEX SHELLY and together the three of them form GENERATION NEXT! The crowd pops huge for the announcement since most of them new who Strong and Shelly were anyway. Aries goes on to say the path of Generation Next’s success will start at Redemption when he picks up the Cruiserweight Championship and that Strong & Shelly will stop at nothing to win the EPW Tag Team Championships, whether it be next week, next month, next year… it doesn’t matter because sooner or later Strong and Shelly will be the EPW Tag Team Champions.

- COMMERCIAL -

We return from commercial and Maria catches up with Muhammad Hassan and Daivari. Maria asks for Hassan’s thoughts on having to face Roderick Strong and Alex Shelly in their debut match in EPW next week. Hassan questions exactly who Strong and Shelly thing think they are? He says that these are two guys whose biggest claims to fame is drop kicking him off the top of a turnbuckle. He says that Roderick Strong and Alex Shelly are nobodies. He continues saying that Strong and Shelly are making the biggest mistakes of careers by trying to make their debuts at the expensive of himself and Daivari, he says that he’s going to make examples out of Strong and Shelly next week and use it as a chance to send an even bigger message to CM Punk. Hassan closes by telling Punk to make the most of his time as the Pacific Champion because very soon the title is coming home with him.

The camera then swings out to the arena where Samoa Joe is making his way out to some solid heat from the fans and it is time for our Main Event for the evening. Christian Cage makes his way out second to an absolutely deafening pop as he’s clearly still as popular as ever. Surprisingly Paul Heyman then makes his way out as well to a huge pop before joining Joey Styles and Kevin Nash on Commentary.

In a really good match, Joe and Cage get some decent time. Both of them get some good time in control while Samoa Joe has used plenty of dirty tactics in an attempt to try and secure the victory. The finish comes when Joe has Christian sat up in the corner, trying to set him up for the Muscle Buster but Cage manages to battle his way out with some kicks to the mid-section. Cage follows up the kicks with two right hands before he bounces Joe off the ropes and as he comes back he is met by a standing shoulder block. Joe bounces up but he is whipped off the ropes again but Christian and this time the Captain nails a big Clothesline! Just when Christian Cage looks to go for the cover the music of CHRIS JERICHO hits and Y2J makes his out to the tope of the ramp with his arms spread out wide. Christian looks pissed to see Jericho here again to make his presence known yet again in a big match, Cage doesn’t let it worry him to much as he turns to see Joe back on his feet and charging towards him, the Samoan Submission Machine bounces front first off the ropes and turns around right into the UNPRETTIER! Christian hooks the leg for the three count @ 9:24

The bell rings as Christian rises to his feet with a huge grin on his face, before climbing up the closest turnbuckle to Jericho before laughing at him and proclaiming “I’m Captain Charisma, you silly bastard!” Jericho looks noticeably upset, running his hands through his hair with a very displeased look upon his face.

Styles and Nash give us the farewells for the evening as well as a final hard sell for EPW being broadcasted from Detroit, Michigan next week before we see one last shot of Christian Cage celebrating as we go off the air.
