Rated-R Champ's Rated-R Review (WrestleMania 24)

MITB: A fast-paced match, although at points, I wondered what happened to the contestants and had to look back. It was hard to follow, but very enjoyable. I didn't really like Kennedy winning, but I'll see where this goes. The aftermatch promo felt a little off for Kennedy, unless he's a face here. My apoligies, I'm a first-time reader.

Triple Threat Tag Titles: I don't really remember if triple threat tag matches can only have 2 men inside at a time, with anyone being able to tag in, and eliminations taking place, but other than that, it was a great match. The teams of Chavo/Rey and Booker/Finlay were interesting, and I was wondering what happened with Melina.

Kennedy/Hardys Promo: So I guess Kennedy's a heel. Anyway, it was a good way to get heat for the guy, but didn't really sound like Kennedy. The Hardys, however, were in character.

Lashley/Lesnar: A dream match for some, and even though it was good, it wasn't what I was expecting. I was thinking lots of suplexes and whatnot, but it was still a good match. Of course Flair would return once the ref was down, but I didn't see him costing Lashley the match.

Orton Promo: Orton a face? Hopefully he's not booked the way he was in reality during his face run. Anyway, the promo still showed Orton's jackass side, so good job.

Dumpster Tag Titles Match: I'm not sure why Christian would be working for Edge, since we've seen them fallout before, but the match itself was not a letdown. I didn't think Kennedy would try to do anything after what happened earlier, but the interference was enjoyable. Another good match.

Rock/Santino Promo: Haha, Santino was just great, his lines were hilarious. The Rock was also very in character, but I'm not too sure if WWE is allowed to say WWF on their programming.

Hart Promo: I wasn't expecting Hart to come out, hell I didn't expect any of these guys to come out. It was a great promo, although Rock getting punked like that makes him look weak.

Angle Promo: Angle's determination shined really well here, and it hyped the match well, but I don't think he'd say goddammn in the same promo twice.

Angle/Jericho: So Jericho is the mystery opponent? My first thoughts were, "Jericho's already back," but then I realized that this BTB is pretty old. Anyway, this was very long, but it was good. I didn't get some parts, such as Angle tapping. Of course, Jericho would win his return match, so no complaints here.

DX Promo: It seemed off for DX. I made out that they're heels, but I still didn't like it too much. They seemed too serious for DX. Their supposed to not give a damn at all, and they claimed not to, but they still sounded too serious.

Edge/Orton: Man, what a match that was. I was seriously pulling for Edge, since he is my favorite wrestler, but it made sense for Orton to get the win. It is WM, and faces usually walk out as champion.

DX/BoD: I didn't realize that this was No DQ. It would've made more sense if that was stated. Of course, BoD go the win, can't end 'Taker's streak, especially in a tag match, but since I prefer HBK over HHH, I was hoping that Hunter would've been the one that got pinned.

Cena/Batista: Another dream match for some. But unfortunately, this wasn't as good as I thought it'd be. I doubt Cena's shoulder block is powerful enough to send Batista out of the ring, and I don't think Cena could give him a stalling suplex, either. The match didn't flow well either, with Batista hitting his bomb on Cena, then a surprise F-U? The ending was also disappointing. A roll-up for the victory in the main event at WM? It just doesn't seem right, especially since Batista was the challenger, and won the title with the roll-up. The ending with Batista and Orton seemed a little like a knock-off of the classic Eddie/Benoit moment. Batista turned on Orton, and never really seemed like friends, so I didn't really like it, either.

Overall: As a first-time reader, I was unfamiliar with some things, but I'm not going to take anything away from that. The promos were alright, and the matches were fantastic as well, except the main event. Also, the divas segment between the the WWE Title and DX/BoD matches didn't really fit in, and could've been on RAW instead, or have the Women's Title Match at 'Mania. 7.5/10.

WrestleMania Review

MITB
Great, fast paced match. A lot of action, although didn't flow the best and was kind of hard to understand. I also had to look back a few times. But still a very entertaining match that had everything. Great choice for an opening match and great result with Kennedy getting the W. Hopefully he's in line for the push of his career. The little interview afterwards was okay. A few grammar mistakes but still good. Well done, 8/10.

Tag Team Title Match
Another good match, although again a bit hard to understand at times. Had some good action and spots, and I like the interesting teams of Booker/Finlay,a nd Rey/Chavo as the Los Guerreros. I wish MNM could of won the titles but still good match, with a good ending. 7/10, good work.

Hardys/Kennedy promo
Not really neccesary, but good all the same. All were in character, and I like how Kennedy said that they will always stay in the tag team division and then Hardy got really defensive. Lol good work with that, and also the brawl afterwards where Kennedy escapes shouting at the Hardys. You really need to work on your grammar though. 8/10.

Lashley vs Brock
Good match, flowed pretty well, still not perfect punctuation but getting better. A dream match on paper, and it delivered for the most part. I like that other guy expected it to be full of suplexes and to be really physical, but it wasn't. It was still good though. Liked how Flair returned again once the ref was down, and I love it how he cost Lashley the match. Well done on a good match, 7/10.

Hardys vs Christian and Foley
Wow, Christian and Foley as a team, never seen that before. But I guess it could work. The match it self was far from a letdown, Kennedy coming out and interfering was a bit stupid, but still enjoyable enough. 6/10 for a match that flowed well.

Rock/Marella Promo
Reasonable promo. Humor was good, Santino's character wasn't quite right, but The Rock's was good, although I think you over did it with Rock's lines. But still, nice promo, maybe we will a lil thing between these two, should be good.

Hart Promo
Not the best promo i've ever read. None were really in character and the punctuation was terrible. I just didn't really like the whole concept of it. From it not being very realistic, to having The Rock put in a sharpshooter, to The Rock all of a sudden turning against Bret. It just didn't work for me, sorry. 5/10.

Angle promo
Great promo here, Kurt's character was perfectly done, and like how he doesn't give a damn who his opponent is. The fact that he says that he will break the guys ankle makes the match much bigger, I really have no idea who Benoit has chosen. I bet it's someone big though. Overall a great promo here, 8.5/10.

Jericho vs Angle
So it's Jericho hey? Great match here, very long which was good. Good action and flowed nicely for most. Didn't understand all of it but still what a match. Jericho was always going to win but i'm glad you kept it in the air for a long time. Well done, 8.5/10.

DX promo
Pretty good promo. In character pretty well were trips and HBK. Some of the things they said were pretty big. love how they are being very arrogant and don't car how the match is as long as they lay the BoD out. Just a quality promo throughout, 8/10.

Orton vs Edge
Amazing match. So mucha ction and was very entertaining. Flowed nicely and I love the result. Really could of gone either way but I guess that since it's WM,a nd orton was the face, it was more likely to happen. But you kept us waiting which was good. 8.5/10. Nice!

DX vs BoD
Prret good match. Nice length, and flowed okay. Taker and Kane were always gonna win, Taker wasn't going to lose his streak in a tag match. But anyway nice match, 7/10.

Cena vs Batista
A real letdown here, thought it was going to be a classic, but really didn't like it at all. A rollup? What were you thinking?! It's the Wrestlemania ME. And it just didn't flow very well either at all. This match let down the show quite a bit. 6/10.

Overall
Overall a pretty good WM. Didn't like the ME or the Bret Hart promo at all though. You also really need to work on your punctuation, it's terrible sorry. Anyway I still give this show a 7/10. If the ME and Hart Promo were replaced it could quite of easily got an 8.5. But still a good show, i'm impressed and I salute you for sticking with this thread for so long. Well done, keep it up.

AJJet's review of Wrestlemania

Wrestlemania is a big event, and only few people can write one really good. I am looking very forward to the Wrestlemania.

S1: The opening was pretty good. With a number of wrestlers saying things. This is going to be one hell of a event. The opening match as the MITB is ok. It shouldn't really be the opening of Wrestlemania, but I can deal with it. The opening of the match was really good. Some very good spots in the match. Picking Mr. Kennedy was a good decision as he could easily be a great main eventer. The promo quickly after the match was not needed as it could have been saved for the next Raw or a little bit after the match. I am not to sure about the length of the match. It seems very short for a MITB match.

**: The tag team match looks very good. Once again I don't like how the matches are in order espcially for Wrestlemania. There were some points the match was alright, but I loved how Los Guerreros won the match. I haven't followed your BTB much after I reviewed you last time. But Booker T & Finaly sounds weird as a tag team, but they worked well in the match!

S3: I am not too sure about seeing Kennedy once again. Anyways Mr. Kennedy hitting Hardy was pretty good. If they don't start a feud this is going to be very pointless.

S4:I really enjoyed this match as Bobby Lashley was a replacement for Brock Lesnar, and now this match was good. Everything went well. Brock Lesnar winning the match was really good. Ric Flair accidentally hitting Bobby Lashley is interesting. I wonder how he will react to that!

S5:Foley/Christian as a tag team is pretty weird, but I am not happy to see Mr. Kennedy in Wrestlemania again! That's three times. I hope I don't see him again. Anyways I was hoping for the Hardyz to get the win, but it's alright. Hmm, seeing Hart/Austin/Rock in a ring is pretty amazing. There were some ok parts in the promo, but you need to improve your grammar.

S6:This is a match I love. Angle and Chris Jericho. Y2J returning is good, and I am not surprised that he's returning. I hope Chris Jericho will get a really good push in this BTB. There were some grammar mistakes, but there was a lot of kickouts in the match, but there isn’t nothing wrong with that. DX versus & BOD is a good. The interview was pretty decent. Can’t wait for the match.

S7: I honestly don’t think that the WWE Championship should be this low in the card. But this is a match is great. Edge versus. Randy Orton. A match that I would love to see in a real Wrestlemania. It’s pretty realistic for Randy Orton to win the WWE Championship. I hope Orton will get a real good title reign.

S8: A DX versus. BOD is one match I would really like to see. Triple H & Shawn Michaels versus. Taker/Kane. The best team won as it would be crazy if Undertaker & Kane lost. Everything was written pretty good.

S9: TBH this match was alright. I am not to interested in a Cena/Batista match. I didn’t even want Batista to win which is a surprise as I don’t like Cena. Anyways the aftermath was real good.

Overall: This was a pretty good PPV. The main event wasn’t that good, but everything else was pretty decent. There were some pretty surprising moments, and good matches.

8.5/10

MOTN: Edge vs. Randy Orton.

POTN: Bret Hart promo

1st week after WrestleMania 24- Raw

Raw

JR and King welcome everyone to the show
after the pyros have finished going off

“Burn in My Light” hits as Randy Orton makes his way down to the ring with his newly won WWE Championship, he gets a huge ovation from the crowd.

Orton begins to speak but he is cut off from more cheering from the crowd, they finally let him talk.

Randy Orton: It’s good to be the champ! I don’t want to take too much of your time I just want to say thank you, if it wasn’t for all of you I wouldn’t be the WWE Champion right now. Last night during my match with Edge I was done, I was finished and then I looked up and saw thousands of my fans cheering me on willing me back to my feet and in the end that is what got me home. Last night,i ended The Legend of Edge before it ever got started. I thank you all and I will not let you all down.

Fan cheeeeeeers

Orton: It feels great to be the WWE Champion and one thing i promise you all is that Randy Orton will hold this Title for a very long time to come because right here tonight the era of Randy Orton beguns.

“Metalingus” begins playing through the arena as Edge with a serious look on his face makes his way down to the ring,Edge gets a lot of boos from the crowd.

Randy Orton: Shouldn't you be in the back crying for loosing the WWE Title.

Edge just stares him for a moment.

Edge: Randy I just wanted to come and congratulate you and tell you that, you wont be holding my WWE Title for a long time because im coming to get it back from you and bring it home where it belongs.….. Orton I want my rematch!
Randy Orton: Ok. You want your rematch you got it tonight, me and you one on one for the title!

The crowd cheers for this match.

Edge: No no no, I don’t want my rematch tonight, I want it at Backlash. Five weeks Randy, in five weeks I will regain my title!
Randy Orton: Screw that lets go now!

The crowd cheers more.

Edge: I would Randy but I have a better idea, instead of us fighting right now I plan on making your live a living hell between now and Backlash!

Glass shatters and Stone Cold Steve Austin appears on top of the stage as he gets a big pop from the crowd.Stone Cold Steve Austin appears on top of the stage.

First of all i would like to congratulate Randy Orotn for winning the WWE Championship and secondly since Edge wants his rematch at Backlash so i have got no problem with that but as of now I can tell you that you wont be fighting right now but you will be fighting later tonight, right here tonight it will be the former WWE Champion Edge with his stupid little brother Christian going up against the new WWE Champion Randy Orton and the partner of his choice!

The Crowd cheers as Austin’s music hits and he leaves, Orton and Edge stare each other down.

*Commercial Break*

All the divas make their way down to the ring for the WWE Women’s Championship Battle Royale.

WWF Womens Championship Battle Royale

Finish: Beth Phoenix, Candice and Mickie are the final three, Candice and Mickie double team Phoenix and manage to get her out of the ring. They begin brawling and Candice gains the advantage, she hits a hard clothesline and almost throws Mickie out of the ring but Mickie lands on the apron and rolls under the bottom rope.

They begin brawling again and Mickie hits a huge DDT out of nowhere, when she tries to throw Candice out, Candice wraps her legs around the head of Mickie and she manages to pull Mickie over the top rope as well. They fall together and hit the floor at the same time.

Winner: Draw

The replay is shown again and again and we see that both the divas touched the floor at the same time so as a result Mickie remains the champion.

CROWD CHEEEEERS

Aftermath: Mickie celebrates with her title in the ring and Candice gets into the ring and they begin staring each other down. Mickie and Candice then hug each other as both leaves the ring as the fans cheeers for them.

“Turn up the Treble” begins playing and Smackdown’s Mr. Kennedy makes his way to the ring with his newly won Money in the Bank Briefcase.

Mr. Kennedy: Please welcome to Raw the new Mr. Money in the Bank,MR.KEENNNEEDDYYYY!..............Kennedy. I just wanted to come to Raw tonight to show off my new briefcase, I wasn’t going to wait till Friday to have a celebration, no way. Last night at WrestleMania i proved to the world that i am without a shadow of a doubt the greatest wrestler ever. Last night it was 6 men who put their bodies all the line just for one thing only and that is (kisses his briefcase) this briefcase. This briefcase is the prove that i will be your next WWE CHampion and let me tell you all it will come as a surprise because i can cash in my MITB anytime i want. It will be my choice so the WWE Champion Randy Orton and the WHC Batista should start looking out for their selfes because you never know when Mr.Kennedy shows up.

You suck chants from the crowd

Kennedy then goes to the top and pose to the crowd before The Hardy Boys make their way to the ring through the fans area as they get a great reaction from the fans.

The Hardy’s jump on Kennedy and begin punching him. Both unleashes furious strikes on Kennedy but before they can do any serious damage Steve Austin appears on the titan-tron.

Steve Austin: Hang on a second! So Kennedy since you like raw this much and since you like to mess with The Hardy Boys so I am gonna go ahead and make a little match here tonight. The Hardy Boys will take on Mr. Kennedy in a handicap match! A referee better get out there because this match starts right now!

Kennedy who got outside gets a shocking look on his face as he gets his briefcase and tries to run for his life but The Hardy chases him down and gets him back in the ring.

*Commercial Break*

When we return from the commercial break

The Hardys v Mr. Kennedy is already in progress.

Finish: Mr. Kennedy has managed to take advantage of Matt Hardy continually stopping him from making a tag to Jeff. Kennedy hits a hard clothesline on Matt and then locks in the figure four leg lock, Matt is screaming in pain as Jeff runs in and breaks up the hold. Matt uses the ropes to get back to his feet but before he can do anything Kennedy comes from behind and hits a chop block before locking in another figure four leg lock, this time however Matt is able to get to the ropes to break the hold. Kennedy whips Matt into the corner and tries to hit a clothesline on Matt but he Matt ducks which sends Kennedy face first into the turnbuckle, Matt out of desperation hits a bulldog on a startled Kennedy which leaves both men down. Matt crawls over to make the tag to Jeff as Kennedy crawls to the other corner but he realises no one is there so he just tries to pull himself back to his feet using the ropes. Jeff gets tagged in and he quickly runs in and ambushes Kennedy from behind. He then whips Kennedy into the ropes and hits a beautifull hurricarana. Matt then joins Jeff as Jeff grabs Kennedy legs and both hits a double leg drop while Jeff jumps on Kennedys mid cestion and Matt jumps on the upper body. Matt then whips Kennedy into the corner and The Hardy's connects with poetry in motion. Matt then goes for the Twist of Fate but Kennedy pushes Matt as he goes straight into Jeff who falls on the mat as Matt looks back Kennedy attempts to hit the mic check but Matt fights out of it and hits the twist of fate followed by a Swanton Bomb from Jeff. Jeff quickly covers Kennedy for the victory.

Winners: The Hardy Boys

Aftermath: The Hardys get Kennedy to his feet then both double teams him to throw him outside the ring. Hardy celebrate their victory as Kennedy on the floor holding his head.

A video package showing highlights of Wrestlemania 24 are shown including Batista and Randy Orton’s victory celebration.

*Commercial Break*

When Raw returns Muhammad Hassan is in the ring with Daivari preparing for his hardcore title defence.

“Huka Blues” begins playing and Sabu runs down to the ring, he gets a good reaction from the crowd.

Hardcore title match: Sabu v Muhammad Hassan©

Finish: Sabu takes the advantage after a trash can shot to the head of Hassan, Sabu then continues to hit Hassan with the trash can until the can is too compacted to use anymore, Sabu covers but only gets a two count. Sabu continues assaulting Hassan with hard punches, Hassan gets back to his feet but is met by a flying steel chair thrown by Sabu, this sends Hassan over the top rope and down to the floor where he lands hard, Sabu sets up a chair in the ring which he uses to run and jump onto the top rope; he jumps off and hits a summersault plancha on Hassan. Sabu continues attacking Hassan using anything he can find around the ring, he then whips Hassan into the barricade but when he tries to dropkick Hassan over the barricade Hassan moves which causes Sabu to miss and fall down onto the mat. Hassan tells Davairi to get a table which he does; he sets it up between the ring and the barricade. Hassan blasts Sabu in the face with a steel chair which busts Sabu open; they then roll him onto the table as Hassan climbs onto the apron. Hassan runs and dives off the apron using his body to crush Sabu through the table; Hassan covers but somehow Sabu kicks out. They roll Sabu into the ring and Hassan tries to hit him in the head with a chair but Sabu ducks and then dropkicks the chair back into Hassan’s face, Sabu then sets the chair up and attempts the triple jump moonsault but Hassan hits a drop toe hold on Sabu which sends him crashing face first onto the steel chair. Hassan then leg drops Sabu’s head crushing it down onto the chair. Hassan then hits his finishing move Downward Spiral on the steel chair and cover him for the three count.

Winner: Muhammad Hassan.

Aftermath: Hassan and Daiviari celebrate with the title as Hassan kicks Sabu one more time in the head before leaving and spitting on the matas he gets booos from the crowd.

Candice and Mickie are in Steve Austin’s office.

Candice: Don’t lie Mickie you know your feet hit the floor first and I should be the womens champion, just admit it!

Mickie: Candice I am sorry, I can’t be sure what happened but they called it a draw and we have to live with it.
Candice: But…..

Steve Austin: Listen here ladies, we all saw the footage again and again and we saw both of you landed on the floor at the same time and I hate matches being ended as a draw especially when a title is one the line which is why at Backlash we will settle this once and for all in a one on one match which will see Mickie defend her title against you Candice.

Candice smiles and leaves, Mickie shoots Austin a concerned look and walks out.

*Commercial Break*

"Medals” hits and Kurt Angle makes his way to the ring, he gets a lot of boos from the crowd.

Kurt Angle: I know what all of you are thinking, he is gonna come out here and run his mouth about how he was cheated at Wrestlemania and its damn true that’s what I am gonna do! How can you expect me to win against an opponent I couldn’t even prepare for? I would love to see Chris Benoit go out to the biggest show of them all not knowing who he was going face, unable to prepare properly! Now that would be funny!

The crowd boos.

Kurt Angle: Last night Jericho winning was a fluke and if he gets in the ring with me again, I promise you I will beat his ass. Oh it’s true, it’s true!

The crowd begins to chant “You Suck!”

Angle: Just shut up! What disturbed me the most last night was when our match was finished and after a while I saw Bret Hart...

The fans cheer at the sound of Bret’s name.

...coming out and applauding for Chris Jericho, that is just pathetic.

The crowd boo more loudly.

Angle: Instead Bret Hart should have come to the ring and raise my hand and congratulated for me my show stealing effort last night.

Crowd boos loudly.

Angle: Boo all you want I don’t care, because last night was a nightmare and it was a fluke nothing else.

Fans start up the “You Suck!” chant once again.

Angle: What I want right now is for Bret Hart to come out here and face me man to man! I have something to tell him and I want to say it to his face! I know you are back there Bret, just like last night this is your hometown and you were invited to come, now get out here and show me some damn respect!

Crowd boos loudly.

Angle waits impatiently for Bret Hart to come out.

Angle: I can’t wait all night!

Bret Hart’s music hits and he makes his way to the ring as the fans stand on their feet and cheer for their hometown legend and hero. Bret gets in the ring and goes face to face with Angle before grabbing a microphone.

Bret Hart: I heard what you said and I know what it feels like getting your ass kicked at the biggest stage of them all Wrestlemania.

Fans cheer

Bret: I don’t have any grudge on you Kurt in fact you are my favourite wrestlers in case you didn’t know.

Angle: Thanks Bret, I appreciate that and I don’t have any grudge against you either, it’s just that what you did last night really hurt me.

Bret: I went out there because you both had a great fantastic match and I liked that ana I applauded for the winner of the match which was Chris Jericho.

Fans cheer.

Kurt Angle: Ok, correct me if I’m wrong didn't you say last night that if you were to wrestle again you would love to wrestle Kurt Angle, the greatest technical wrestler alive today, hell of all time!

Fans cheer for Angle versus Bret.

Bret Hart: Yes I did say that but I said if I was to wrestle again but as you see I have gotten older and I am past my prime so I don’t think I can.

Fans boo.

Before Angle could say anything “Breakdown the Walls” begins playing and Chris Jericho comes out to a huge pop from the crowd as he walks to the ring, grabs and microphone.

Chris Jericho: Listen here Kurt you jackass! You know Bret can’t wrestle, he is too old, he has too many injuries and plus he would wipe the floor with an ass clown like yourself!

The crowd cheers.

Jericho: I know what you are trying to do and I won’t let that happen!

Angle: This is none of your business Y2Gay! You better stay out of this!

Bret: Both of you calm down. Chris I appreciate your feelings towards me but I look at Kurt and it reminds me of what he did to my best buddy Chris Benoit.

Fans cheer.

Bret Hart: Kurt, what you did to Chris Benoit was unacceptable and was a cowardly act.

Angle: That’s the past and he deserved it!

Jericho: Why don’t you just shut the hell up ass clown!

Fans cheer.

Angle: What’s your problem? All I want from Bret Hart is one more match, Bret Hart verse Kurt Angle at Backlash, so Bret what you say?

Fans cheer loudly.

Bret begins to speak but Jericho cuts him off.

Jericho: No the answer is no!

Angle: Why don’t you let Bret answer it?

Bret wants to say something but Jericho
continues arguing, Bret manages to calm him down.

Bret: So Kurt you want to face me, you want me to face you at the next pay per view Backlash, you want to beat me?

Fans chant one more match heavily

Angle: Yes and trust me I have been waiting for this match since I first saw you wrestle when I was a kid.
Bret: Ok….

Fans cheer as they think Bret is going to say yes.

Bret: Ok, I will let you know next week live on Raw, I will think about it and make a decision next week.

Jericho then says something to Bret and they both talk to each other, Kurt just looks at them smiling. Kurt then offers a handshake to Bret, as Bret begins to forward his hand but Jericho backs Bret away and they both leave as Kurt looks on in angrily.
Bret music plays as he and Jericho walk up the ramp, Kurt remains in the ring staring them down as the fans again chant "One more match".

Bret gets on the entrance stage and waves his hand to the fans before leaving as Jericho stares at Kurt from the ramp.
