Re: 2007 & Beyond - The Second Fucking Coming

RAW Feedback

Good that you didn't open the show with a promo as you had an obsene amount of them inbetween the show. Victoria beating a face Gail Kim, I imagine is just an exhibition match without any meaning. I like the hug to get the crowd a little more supportive

JBL interview led me to believe that he would play a huge part in the battle royal but that can't be right . I can never picture Melina's character all that well but Morrison and Randy interaction was a good foundation for what's to come in the main event. Make Randy Orton a little less of a pussy plz. Atleast he's a man with agenda. A little more balls and he'll be Triple H of the 2000s

Awesome promo with Coach. If nothing else this provides for some intriguin humor. Much better than whatever that was you had last week. DUMBO Coach > Inappropriate Coach. Coach should hit the moves on the Glamazon tbh but that'll happen eventually, it better
I didn't think the knee injury bit would come to play tonight but strong minor angle especially for a women's feud. Crap recap wasn't all bad assuming nothing else happened in the match. Striker should do something, he's not THE jobber in this thread is he ?

The Victoria promo started off good and ended kind of wierd. Mickie being scared = . Beth being scared = . Otherwise, another good promo. The Big Bad Reigns is getting some good exposure with MVP. Another Orton manipulation tactic. Interesting to see how little of this actually works for the match. Awesome hype segments going on throughout the show. I don't understand why superstars watch the backstage interviews but not the segments. Wierd like that

Shawn Michaels promo was a little iffy. I just don't enjoy this type of Michaels anymore. Better character needed for him imo. His persona when he feuded with Cena IRL was awesome. Shawn Michaels (Mr. Born again Christian) acting like this condescending teen dude doesn't interest me. Haas beat Jobberno say words. Interesting...
The portrayal of Angelina is awesome. I'm loving it a lot and the portrayal of JBL is really dickish, which is good

Kurt Angle's character is better than Michael's atm but this interview was kind of what we'd expect. Needed but not that much. AMW getting some steam is good but RAW needs a new tag title feud. Draft coming 'nytime soon? Orton/Umaga promo topped both the others, maybe because this was the only real one The content of the RVD promo is the same that we heard from Angle except worse for him

You put all your eggs in one basket for this show and it paid off. The elimination of JBL so fast setup something for the future and now Angelina has more things to hold over his head. Angle going next was fine as well. Then with RVD and HBK eliminated, Orton was the only real possibilty. Don't get me wrong, I knew Orton would win from the get go (I really did) but to make him the only logical choice is too predictable. RVD|HBK will most definitely have a match at 'Slam. Orton's depiction was 'tastic and MVP and Morrison playing him and Orton winning without any help makes him look sort of strong. I wouldn't buy a main eventer like him running from two mid carders tbh but that's just me. The promo at the end was a little too generic unlike the one Edge delivered a couple of weeks ago, saying that he wasn't getting a title shot. This got the point across and we've got a main event for SummerSlam so nothing much to critique

The show was promo stacked and the main event was awesome. Some random stuff thrown in there too. Pretty good show

Re: 2007 & Beyond - The Second Fucking Coming

July 16th Raw Review:

Last week’s show really got me excited for the huge battle royal this week, should be a great match. Coach’s stip was pretty good … way to keep the playing field level.

Gail and Victoria having a good face vs. face match is good … and a nice change of pace from the tag matches and other matches involving Vicky the past couple weeks. Never really in doubt that Victoria was going to win but Gail did better than I expected. The embrace was good and I can’t wait for the match between Vicky and Mickie. SummerSlam plz.

Never miss a chance to get JBL on the mic and Todd Grisham is really just a joke when someone like JBL has the stick. Great explanation of what happened last week but I think this is just a cover-up for JBL … I think he is scared going into the main event. Great segment nonetheless and JBL will last a while tonight … but I don’t see him winning. Third to last person in the ring, imo.

Very good segment between Orton and Morrison. I love the character that Randy is slowly becoming. He has always been arrogant and he has always been a great wrestler … but now he is becoming a master manipulator … and seeing Morrison just take the bait was awesome. Morrison wants to be a star and I guess that he will trust Orton to help him get there. Interested to see what Randy says to MVP.

Kinda weird segment with Beth and Coach. I understand that Coach (Legend) is obsessed and attracted to Beth but I didn’t get the ending. “Knee Injury”? Elaborate plz … unless I missed something really obvious.

Crap recaps are OK, imo … especially when Striker is in the match. Good that he has his storyline going still … being on TV every week … but Doane gets the solid win … rematch with Morrison very soon would be nice.

Mickie in a wheelchair is pretty good … now I understand what you meant by “knee injury”. I guess this is why the match won’t take place until SummerSlam … but Victoria is quite serious with Mickie. Good little speech and now it REALLY looks like Mickie’s title reign is coming to an end … because she is scared of Victoria. Great way to get the Women’s Champion on the show with her challenger.

LMAO at Reigns!! More time on the mic plz. Orton comes into his locker room and very good that he is making MVP think that ‘Mags and Morrison are working together. So now Orton and MVP are on the same side. I really hope this doesn’t blow up in Orton’s face … I want Edge vs. RKO at SS.

Good interview from Michaels and the Maria comment was nice. No masking his hate for RVD … with the “garbage wrestler” comment. HBK has been in big matches before and I like how you touched on that. I don’t see HBK going to SS … at least not to face Edge … RVD would be a good choice though.

So is Bobby McNabb the brother of Donovan McNabb? Nice jobber names, Mac. Haas goes through the motions again and I was kinda disappointed because I thought we’d see another Haas promo … but the storyline has me intrigued. Hope the heel turn is pretty good … because I see that coming.

JBL is still cocky and ready to go … contrary to what I thought originally. Angelina is a little worried but JBL insists everything is OK. Keep dishing out the awesome JBL lines plz.

Solid interview from Angle … not really much more he could say. Talking about 2007 so far was good and I like that he is still getting mixed reactions … because the face turn hasn’t really happened yet. Angle to dominate the battle royal … but not win it, imo.

Nice way to get the four best teams on Raw on TV … but you were right … SD tag division >>>>>>> Raw tag division. Anyway, very good match between the eight men and AMW and RWC deserve the spotlight as it seems another rematch is in the works. RWC can’t get off their finisher and AMW beats them at their own game … getting the win!! Great that they look to be back on track … can’t wait to see what happens next.

Orton really is trying to manipulate everyone else in the main event … and here is Umaga and AAE. Orton’s explanation of why everyone wants to get rid of Umaga was gold but AAE isn’t really buying Orton’s concern. This may be where things turn bad for Orton … and I think he may slip up when trying to work out a deal with ‘Mags.

RVD is the only man we haven’t heard from yet and his interview was very good. Great way to get himself over … talking about pinning Shawn Michaels back in May. He is finally back in the main event and he doesn’t want to be anywhere else … gotta love his chances in the BR … which is next!!

JBL is the first to go!! I thought he’d last pretty long but I guess Angelina was right … he did turn everyone against him. So Angle is gone too!! My two picks to last long (besides Orton) are the first two gone. Umaga has been dominating but I see him getting thrown out pretty soon. SCM to RVD!! Great way for Michaels to get over as a heel … using the low blow. RVD comes back in and eliminates HBK!! Awesome feud, imo. Down to Orton, MVP, Morrison and Umaga. Morrison and MVP save Orton … and dump Umaga out of the ring!! MVP and Morrison working together!! Orton gets rid of Morrison!! MVP and Orton and … Orton gets rid of Porter!! Orton is going to SS!!

Edge on the Tron~! Edge congradulates Orton … and then drops the bombshell!! I love how sly Edge is as a face … that’s one good thing about him as either a heel or a face. TLC!! This is what I thought way back when Edge won the belt and now it is confirmed!! Should be a great main event for the biggest part of the summer!!

Mac, I need to think of some more creative phrases than … “you are the best” … “top notch show” … but I can’t right now. :P This should has been building for weeks and it didn’t disappoint. All of the great manipulation (pt. 1 and 2) ended up working out for Orton … and SS is gonna be huge!! Can’t wait for the next show … 10/10.

Sick SS banner, tbh.

Re: 2007 & Beyond - The Second Fucking Coming

Thanks for the Starrcade review. Twas quite the pleasurable experience to read .

Raw looks to be a standard Mac Classic. Hey, I just coined a phrase! 'Mac Classic', y'know, instead of 'Mat Classic'. That pwned, quit playing. Anyway, review in the next couplez, as I'm real busy, and I gotta get Legend some feedback first.

Flair > Jobber mods, imo.

Re: 2007 & Beyond - The Second Fucking Coming

Eh something different opening things up off the bat with a women's match but it's happened before plenty of times on Raw so I can't complain. It's only a matter of time until Victoria takes the title off of Mickie or well she should. She seems to be the top diva set to take it off of Mickie when and if that day comes.

JBL's interview was good but I still enjoyed last week's more than this one. It was good for what it was worth but really I don't see JBL winning tonight despite an Edge/JBL program sounding very intriguing.

I'm really digging this conniving character of Orton that you have. I mean come on we know Umaga/MVP didn't form a tandem. I'd love to see this plan come to fruition and it succeed. Orton vs. Edge the blowoff match is bound to take place soon and SummerSlam is just the perfect place for it.

Eh I'm guessing when Beth brought that note in it was about Mickie. This could really turn interesting as I thought Victoria might be the one to take the title but I could see Beth taking Mickie out while she's injured and gaining the title somehow. Either way I'm tuning in to see what happens.

Doane getting back on track is good and can't help but notice that Striker was used two weeks in a row. Nice as he's a very talented superstar that doesn't get much attention and I don't even give him much now.

I love how you give the divas a lot of attention in here even if it is because of your obsession with Mickie James. Either way though it certainly is not a storyline you see every day in the Divas division and well I've changed my mind now on the way this feud is going.

Yes! The conniving Orton continues. I really think if this plan does work out like he's wanting it to he will be challenging at SummerSlam.

Eh the HBK interview was good but really didn't catch my attention too much with it. To me it just seemed like another Battle Royal hype promo which of course has been greatly hyped but maybe it's just me.

Eh, back to back squash matches. Doane/Striker to you might not be a squash match but to me it seemed like it was. This Haas thing is certainly something different but I'll just go out on a limb and say he's losing his mind.

JBL's segment is great and I think we all know that his plan is going to backfire and it's all going to be because of HBK. It makes sense, it needs to take place, and it will take place. As far as Angle goes I can see him getting some good time in the match but no way do I see him winning it. Where he goes from here I have no clue but he'll have something to do come SS.

Don't really care much about the tag match but still I think the tag division is solid despite what you think. It's not the best but still it's decent compared to what the WWE has tbh.

That damn Orton. That is all I can say.

Nice. Right from the ending I knew Orton was going to win when it came down to MVP and Morrison but still it was a sick finish to end the night with. TLC being announced is huge and SummerSlam is already going to be big enough. So many big matches going to be taking place, I'm really looking forward to seeing the final card that you throw up for it.

Re: 2007 & Beyond - The Second Fucking Coming

Raw Feedback

Been looking forward to this show something rotten. Hope it lives up to expectations

Another {squash} win for Victoria to kick off with. I guess she's proving herself a little a little more against guys like Trish Stratus and Beth. She's on fire to be honest, but I honestly still see Mickie coming out on top. This kind of build is almost identical to the pre-WrestleMania match ... and Mickster owned that night.

JBL has been awesome these last few weeks and he continues to be here. Great {bullshit} explanation for why he did what he did. Not playing his hand? Me thinks he was just being an egotistical prick last week to be fair. He's either winning this bad boy tonight or getting completely annihilated by everyone from the get go.

Well I guess this is the first part of the 'Manipulation' storyline for tonight. The business with the WWE Magazine and Ken Doane basically confirms that feud will be continuing. Loving Orton's role here; really great heel stuff from him. Melina as Morrison's voice has been getting her a lot of mic time recently, which = ratings galore. Loved the sly little aftermath between Orton and his boys. I guess Randy will be making the rounds tonight. Great stuff.

Coach is awesome. Beth is awesome. Awesome segment. Coach is smoooooooth ... but I'm smoother quite frankly.

'Twas a crap recap Don't know where this business with Matt Striker is going, but at least lil' ole' Kenny got some momentum back after his loss at Vengeance.

Intense segment between Vicky, Mickie, Coach and Beth. This 'injury' angle is quite similar to the one Mickie played before 'Mania, but I don't mind you rehashing it, because quite frankly this is EXACTLY the kind of chicken-shit character Mickie has been playing for all of this thread's existence. I expect something will happen to make sure it happens at SummerSlam still though. Very intense stuff from Victoria in Mickie's face at the end; probably the most mic time Vick has got in ages. There's no way she can possibly win the big match, otherwise Mick would look like her bitch.

Porter's mini stable is really starting to grow on me. Even though they're effectively an entourage for one man, 'Big Lu' {love it} and three hot mammas is always a great mix, and Porter owns. More mic time than I've ever seen for Lu tonight, and long may it continue. Bodyguards are better when they're a little bit ... human. Orton works his magic again. He really is on fire tonight and so are you with his cocky ass shit stuff. I expect his psycho side to emerge once again when he's going up against Edge and is getting desperate, but this has been a nice throwback to his '04 run I think. The guy is asking for trouble making up shit about 'Maga and Estrada though.

Short but sweet and very effective promo from Michaels here. Been really enjoying his heel/tweener character since WrestleMania. Nothing better than egomaniac heels, no sir. Ranjin got slightly owned unfortunately by HBK. Don't think I missed the line about the “ECW Garbage Wrestler” either. I suspected that he might be moving on to a feud with JBL, but after this kind of line, his business with RVD is far from over.

Very interesting character direction for Charlie Haas at the moment. Has trouble putting away a jobber and then has nothing to say. Not sure where this kind of angle is going. More than likely it will lead to a heel turn, but I'm not sure how exactly it will happen. He's not as bad on the mic as people seem to think, but a manager wouldn't be a bad idea.

Yeah, I can definitely see Angelina being proved right tonight. JBL's screwed to be honest. Another really nice segment between these two. Good chemistry you've created. Bradshaw was awesome with Jillian in '06, and this relationship smacks of that. Mysogyny.

Another solid interview, this time from Kurt Angle. You really have this guys smack dab down the middle of heel and face personas. I have no idea what he is. He's obviously the face in his feud with 'Mags, but then he beats the shit out of Edge, RVD, Doane and 'Lito and becomes the top heel again. Quite awesome and quite exciting each week this kind of unpredictability. No way is he winning the BR tonight thought. He and 'Maga have unfinished business.

Yeah, even though you've started to build a solid tag division on Raw, it's never going to touch the awesomeness of SmackDown. Nice match up here, and a chance for AMW to get some credibility back after weeks of defeat. I can see a blow off match between them and the RWC happening soon enough on Raw.

Estrada More manipulative goodness from Orton here, but even with a reduced role, AAE still steals the damn show. Love the way that out of all of the guys that Randy's played tonight, Armando the one that's seemingly got his own backup plan. The man is awesome. <3 him tbh.

Just like most of the interviews tonight, this one with RVD was short ... but sweet. I know you don't like him, and I know he isn't the greatest mic worker of all time ... but he's okay, and that's how you portray him. I personally do think he's WWE Championship material, especially with this kind of story you have for him: proving himself worthy as a Main Eventer. His feud with Shawn Michaels owns big time too.

Here we go. The big one. Have to laugh at poor JBL's fate in the match. 8 seconds? Yeah, it was either that or he was winning it. I would guess at a multi-man match for the IC title at SummerSlam now, maybe with Porter, Doane, Morrison {and possibly Haas} in the running. Surprised to see Angle go so early, and not via Umaga, but I guess he was just to prove a point that Orton is a sly bastard. Great interchange from RVD and HBK, with Shawn being a sneaky SOB and kicking Rob out, but Van Dam gets his revenge. If this doesn't get a match at SummerSlam then I don't know what will. Should be great. Van Dam to go over plz. Orton's plan works to perfection with Morrison and Porter taking out Umaga, but it was pretty funny how the two youngsters had been working together all along. Really good showing from MVP and Morrison though, for two guys who have barely been there that long, they look a million dollars now. Orton looked a beast at the end though, taking out both Porter and Morrison single handed. Brings back some credibility after losing to RVD and Carlito two weeks running. Had to happen. Edge/Orton the final encounter was inevitable and sorely needed. Like others have said, the aftermath promo from Edge was simple and a tad generic ... but it made its point. TLC Hell of a match that should be. Bit of an anti-climax now that Edge is already Champ though, unless you plan on swerving us with an Orton victory. Plz Great first match to 'Slam though, with many more to follow I'm sure.

Really was worth the wait this show, Mac Daddy, after all the hype. The road to SummerSlam should be a real treat. Keep it going

Re: 2007 & Beyond - The Second Fucking Coming

WCW Rules' Review of Mac Daddy 'O's RAW

Hmm... interesting; starting off RAW with a Women's Match. Different, but cool. From the get go, I kinda knew Victoria would win, as she's been receiving quite a monster push as of late. I like Victoria as a dominant face, and I hope she defeats Mickie James. Hehe, your JBL = Da Shit! I'm always finding myself enjoying JBL's promos in this thread, and this was no exception. Nice dig at liberals, LOL. It was quaint how he detailed everything he did last week, and glorified it per his character. What a fool; he'll get what's coming to him in the end, perhaps in the Battle Royale tonight, since he douped everybody last week.

Haha! I love the Legend Killer's manipulation tactics, they're so... well done! It seems as if he's a master manipulator, and John Morrison fell into his web of lies, just like last week. Ooooh, I like this crafty Orton, interesting character. I imagine they'll be teaming up later on in the Battle Royale, only for Orton to betray him in the end. Great promo, Mac Daddy. Hehe, Coachman; quite an interesting situation you've got written for him, what with Beth and all. Hmm... a paper? And it reads knee injury, which is strange. I'm guessing for Mickie James? Scared, is she? I like it.

Ugh... Striker? Good thing he lost; he's a jobber, and nothing more. Though I'm not too keen on Doane either, at least he's more bearable than America's favorite Teacher. I laugh at Ken's nickname, Phenom. Like Morrison before me, PUH LEEZ. Victoria's fucking hot when angry, and this was no different. She's pissed and my savior in this thread wants her shot at your baby, Mac Daddy! Make it happen, brotha, or else!

Hehe, another scheme from the Legend Killer. This show's quite contained, just like last week's. I seem to like 'em, TBH. It makes 'em more personal. Reigns was gold in this promo, and MVP was used effectively, and Orton... Orton's just da man. I think he'll win, if only because of his craftiness and his feud with Edge.

HBK was kinda flimsy in this here promo, his character out of whack for sometime, and going back. If this was intentional, cool, if not, oh well. Things happen. No passion here, which sucks because I like passionate HBK, more stronger than this weak HBK you've got going on. Something's going to change for him, I think, and in the future. Well... Charlie "No Charisma" Haas. Surprised to see he wasn't totally dominant, and McNabb? actually got in some offense, the cousin or brother of the other jobber. LOL; nothing to say, Haas? His character might undergo some change, I hope. He's just too bland, which is why he couldn't work the mic.

Hehe, JBL's full of himself and arrogant, and that'll be his undoing. Angelina knows what she's 'talkin about, Wrestling Gawd! Heed her words, y'fool.. Poor Angle; after reading all his losses in that one paragraph, I feel pity for him. Short promo, but surely did the job. Hyped the Battle Royale from his point of view, and that seems to be the focal bit of the entire show, which is cool, in a way, but can be a bit toned down in places. Heh, nice inside joke with the Tag Teams. Smith/Holly is a decent tandem but this second/third generation bullshit is starting to get to me, TBF. Redneck Wrecking Crew? Bleh. Not too fond of AMW either, and the RKO Army is weak, pathetic IMO. AMW wins a rather meh match, which spells some good for them.

Ah... AAE. So fucking cool. Of course, Randy comes in with his manipulative words, and Armando, reluctantly, obliges him. I liked the last line from Armando, good shit. Some final hype for the ME from RVD, which was expected, seeing as he was the last of the main guys to get some word in. RVD was alright in this promo, nothing too fancy. Now, let's read that Main Event.

LMAO! JBL going out first; I knew karma was going to be a bitch for him, and indeed, in eight seconds, a record! JBL's blathering got him into this mess; what a fool. Angelina was right, and he was so wrong. Umaga begins to dominate, and the stars pile on him. I like Orton trying to get on everybody's good side by eliminating one of the men who wasn't too involved, Angle. Gives him so leverage, so to speak. Oooh, poor RVD. The band played a song, and it wasn't to RVD's liking. With him gone, I'd imagine Michaels is next, and will ya look at that? I was right, but by RVD! I smell a match for them at Summerslam, perhaps a rubber one. Dammit, Umaga is out, and that leaves MVP, Morrison, and Orton in the ring. I like that MVP and Morrison are getting time in the limelight, but I know Orton will win. Oh, John's out, and so is MVP! Nice one, I knew the Legend Killer was going to win. After all the intrigue, cunning, and manipulation he has shown in the last few weeks, it was only a matter of time... Ugh, our WWE Champion, Edge. Hmm.. he get's to choose a stipulation? Wait, lemme guess. What's Edge good at? Oh nice, TLC! A TLC match between Edge and Orton should be great at Summerslam.

Awesome show, Mac Daddy. Some things were a bit off, but the promos were stacked and the ending match was brilliant. Filler matches in between were... meh, though. Not as strong as your last show, but still good leading into Summerslam, I think. Can't wait for Smackdown, TBH. Review, IMO.

I don't understand why superstars watch the backstage interviews but not the segments.
The way I figure it is the interviews and matches are televised "in-house," while the segments aren't. That's how I've treated it (recently at least), though the WWE has broken that consistently.

I wouldn't buy a main eventer like him running from two mid carders tbh but that's just me.
Not running cause he's scared though, he's running because it's a battle royal and two people of equal or bigger size could dump him over the top without it being too hard.

Thanks . To answer a question of yours from a few months back, that's the reason I didn't want to use Jillian. I wanted this partnership to be different than the rest of Layfield's where he's kinda just a dick for no reason. Angelina has an opinion, says it, it annoys JBL to no end, but he keeps her around because she has his best interest in mind and clearly knows what she's talking about.

Yeah, quite a few iffy tandems; I know. I haven't bothered to build any up on Raw outside of the RWC in the last year, which is the problem.

Thanks for all the reviews though. I think I've made all the rounds though...

Friday Night SmackDown! - July 20th, 2007

Between The Rock and a Hard Place

The night kicks off with ‘The People’s Champion’ THE ROCK coming down to the ring to a monster ovation. He grabs a microphone, and says that he doesn’t want to wait until the GAB, instead, he wants Cena, Batista, Rock and he wants them now.
The crowd erupts …
…but get even louder, when MR. KENNEDY makes his way down to the ring. KK grabs himself a mic, and says no offense, but Rock can’t get Cena tonight, because KK’s got himself a match with The Boss tonight.
The Great One immediately fires back by saying if he needed Kennedy’s permission, he would’ve asked for it. The tension between Rock and KK immediately picks up, and the crowd knows it … but before it can go to far, ‘The Animal’ BATISTA, ‘The Boss’ JOHN CENA, and ‘The Nature Boy’ RIC FLAIR step out onto the stage. Flair does the talking for the bunch tonight. Naitch says he can see that the match in two days will be a cakewalk because the massive egos of KK and Rock can’t get along for five minutes talking to one another, let alone long enough to beat two of the most dominant athletes to step foot into a wrestling ring. That’s why, Naitch says, when Batista beats either of those two chumps, he’ll beat Kennedy and regain his World Heavyweight Championship.
Cena takes offense, and snatches the mic from Flair. He tells Naitch that Batista won’t win a damn thing, and if he thinks so, he’s more senile than he looks. The Animal steps up and into Cena’s face, and once more the crowd rises in anticipation of a clash. That doesn’t happen, however, as The Rock tells all three to just bring it.
The heels do just that, running down to the ring! Rock & KK more than hold their own, with Kennedy going at it with Batista as Rock battles Cena, but the numbers game catches up with Rocky, when NAITCH HITS A LOW BLOW, and The Boss follows up by laying Rock out with the FU!! Opposite Cena, KK BLASTS Batista in the face with the World Title belt, knocking him out! Flair attempts to help his protégé, but KK DRILLS him as well! KK lets out a “KENNEDY” to a strong pop …

…but he’s soon tripped down to the canvas, and put in the STF-U by Cena!!!

The World Title hits and remains on the ground in front of both Kennedy and The Boss, and they both glare at the prestigious championship while the devastating hold is applied, KK fading away, while Cena screams with intensity.

Inside of her office, Stephanie McMahon is on the phone … but that’s soon interrupted as Teddy Long and Mark Henry storm into her office. Steph hangs up, and notices that T-Lo is sporting a black eye. She asks him what happened, and Long scoffs, saying he knows damn well that she sent Triple H to do that to his eye. McMahon seems confused, and rightfully so, but Long doesn’t buy it, and goes into one of his awesome racial tirades, even managing to get in a shot or two at Finlay, Henry’s opponent for the GAB. After listening to Long go on and on, Steph merely responds that Long will have an opportunity tonight to take out all his frustrations … in a MATCH … against FINLAY!! Both Henry and Long begin to shout in frustration, but Steph ignores them, picking up the phone and dialing some numbers as they continue to scream.

The first match of the night isn’t exactly competitive, as the former United States Champion William Regal takes on Funaki. Poor Funaki gets slaughtered by a pissed off Englishman, who simply beats him from pillar to post, before dropping him on his head with a Regal Plex, and forcing him to submit to the Regal Stretch @ 2:56.
After the match, incensed, Regal grabs himself a microphone, and lays into CM Punk, trashing everything he stands for, before stating that he’s gonna put an end to this rookie’s ‘push’ before it even gets started. The Straightedge Superstar steps out onto the stage, receiving a nice ovation. Punk doesn’t say a word, merely standing with a cocky smirk, as Regal looks like he’s ready to … uh … blow the fuck up.

We then cut to a sit-down interview, taped earlier in the week, with Tazz talking to Chavo Guerrero. Tazz asks Chavito about his upcoming GAB match with Rey Mysterio and what the recent disputes between the two has done to their friendship. Chavo responds by saying that he loves Rey Mysterio … but that’s not what this is about. Guerrero says that, in recent weeks, Mysterio has disrespected Chavo … by touching on some real truths. Guerrero states that he has been fine with coasting in this business … but not anymore. At the GAB, he will correct his past wrongs by beating Rey Mysterio clean in the middle of the ring; no cheap shots, no tricks, nothing, except Chavo Guerrero beating his friend, and establishing himself as a true force in this business.

Back from the break, we get a video package on the Hooligans-Carolina Connection feud, which has reinvigorated and elevated the tag team division to new heights in 2007. The video highlights that the competitiveness has turned into frustration, with The Hooligans aggravated by the apparent superiority of Benjamin and Helms, while The Connection are irritated with failing to recapture the belts on several occasions. Once the VP finishes, a Hooligans-CC confrontation is hyped up for later tonight, with London and Kendrick looking to call out their title contenders.

Kid Kash watches from ringside, as we get our second match of the night, with Chris Sabin taking on the Cruiserweight Champion Jamie Noble in a non-title match. Noble and Sabin put on a solid enough contest, not going too long, and in the end, a distraction from the Notorious K.I.D. allows Sabin to pick up the win, rolling Noble up @ 7:12.
Noble throws a fit, while Sabin holds up his hands in celebration, and Kash watches with a smirk from ringside.

We cut to another pre-taped sit-down interview. This time, Tazz sits with Rey Mysterio. Tazz asks Rey if he regrets making this feud with Chavo Guerrero personal. Mysterio states that Guerrero is the one making it personal, by conspiring against him at Backlash, originally lying about it on SmackDown, and effectively mocking him at Judgment Day. Rey says that this Sunday is not about friendship, or even hatred, it’s about respect. He continues, stating that Chavo will no longer doubt his ability or his heart after the GAB.

The third match of the night sees poor Teddy Long, with Mark Henry at ringside, take on ‘The Fighting Irishman’ Finlay. The two meet in the ring, and the second that the bell rings, Long tries to bail, but Finlay quickly grabs him, and takes him down with a lariat! The Fighting Irish Bastard then tosses him into the corner, and begins beating him senseless with hard right hands! Henry steps into the ring, quickly shoves the ref out of the way, and charges toward Finlay. The Irishman quickly sidesteps Henry, and tosses him over the top rope! Finlay then grabs Long, lifts him up, before planting him with the CELTIC CROSS! Finlay pins Long for the three count @ 1:41.
The crowd cheers as Finlay grabs his SHILLELAGH and rolls out of the ring! The Fighting Irishman looks ready to completely wallop the rising Henry … but quickly, several security guards run down to the ring to keep the two separated. With a look of ice, Finlay simply points his weapon at Henry, but The Silverback doesn’t seem impressed, slamming his chest with his fist, yelling at Finlay to bring it, just two days before they meet in a steel cage.

Josh Matthews waits in the ring, ready to conduct a big-time interview. Matthews states that he’ll be talking to both tandems in the WWE Tag Team Championship Match at the GAB, and soon brings out the champions, The Hooligans, and the challengers, The Carolina Connection, each team coming out to a mixed reaction. Matthews wonders whether or not this feud has gone from being about competition and tag team gold, and gotten into the personal area.
Helms states that for he and Shelton, it’s always about business, and this Sunday, they’ll be taking care of business when they take back the tag team titles.
London speaks up next and says that as far as he’s concerned, there is NOTHING more personal than the WWE Tag Team Titles, so yeah, this has ALWAYS been personal.
Kendrick grabs the mic from his partner, and states that for the last few months or so, everybody around this place has been treating The Hooligans as paper champions, continuously insinuating that the CC were the ‘uncrowned champs’, and it was only a matter of time before they took the belts, but yet, here they stand, a few months later, and The Hooligans still have the titles. Benjamin grabs the mic from Helms, and puts it as simple as can be, “Give us two more days, and we can fix that for ya’.”
The four incredibly talented wrestlers all stare around at one another, before Matthews ‘presents’ our tag team title match for Sunday, and the crowd lets out a nice ovation, with both tandems eyes locked in on one another.

Backstage, Kristal Marshall conducts an interview with ‘The Boss’ John Cena. The Doctor of Thuganomics hits on all the main points (the main event tag at GAB, the lack of chemistry between him and Batista, and his hatred of The Rock), before he moves onto tonight’s main event against Mr. Kennedy. The Boss states that tonight is merely going to be a preview of the SummerSlam M.E., because after he beats Rock & KK at the GAB, he’ll beat KK at SummerSlam and take the WHC. Cena then walks off, before we get a quick shot of Batista and Flair watching in the locker room, shaking their heads.

Stephanie McMahon sits in her office, and seems to be off in space, deep in thought … before TRIPLE H walks into the room. Dressed in his shirt and jeans, H walks over and taps Steph on the shoulder. McMahon turns to her ex-husband.

Stephanie McMahon: Two weeks in a row? People might start to think you actually work here.

Triple H: Hilarious.

Stephanie McMahon:
What’s this I hear about you assaulting Teddy Long last week?

Triple H: Assault? That’s what he said?

Stephanie McMahon: That’s what he’s saying.

Triple H:
… He blames whitey for everything. You gonna listen to that guy?

~ Stephanie rolls her eyes, not buying it; H continues.

Triple H:
Enough about Long. Who gives a crap? We’ve got more important things to discuss.

Stephanie McMahon: Like what?

Triple H: Come on, Steph. Like … the biggest superstar in this industry getting back what belongs to him. Triple H getting back the World Heavyweight Championship. And I need you to make that happen.

~ Stephanie sighs, scratching the side of her head a bit, as H shakes his head.

Triple H:
You said you needed to think. It’s been a week … so here I am.

Stephanie McMahon:
I … don’t have an answer for you yet.

Triple H: Jesus--

Stephanie McMahon: Sunday. Great American Bash. You show up, I’ll have an answer for you.

~ Hunter sighs, and runs his hands through his hair, before he nods, and turns to leave the office. We close in on Hunter’s face, clearly thinking, and H turns around.

Triple H:
Look … Steph. I know that you don’t want to feel that you’d be doing this for personal reasons … so I want you to think about this.
Who wants to see Kennedy take on Batista for the third time? Huh? Yeah, it’s a big match, but we’ve seen it. Or Kennedy versus Cena again? Hell, who wants to see Rock and Kennedy kiss each others’ asses for four weeks, before they wrestle a match of (air quotes) “respect”? Huh? I wouldn’t.

~ Stephanie folds her arms, defensive … but listening.

Triple H: But think about it … Mr. Kennedy defends the title against THE GAME!! Your boy, Kennedy, after all of the success, and the rumble win, and the Houdini escapes with the World Title intact, finally steps up against a man who can stop it all with one move. With one Pedigree, can send him back to mediocrity. With one Pedigree, can send his ass back to jerkin’ the curtain. Every pimple-faced teen in the audience watchin’, hopin’, wishin’, prayin’ that Kennedy can somehow, someway pull out the win against the big, bad, evil Triple H … who can DESTROY his entire CAREER … with only … one … Pedigree.

~ Triple H stares into Stephanie’s eyes, attempting to gauge her reception … but he can’t … so he continues.

Triple H: OR … or, Mr. Kennedy, after all the doubters saying he’s nothing but a fluke, a one-hit wonder, a wrestler who sneaks by, after all of that, Kennedy mans up, and puts The King of Kings down … keeps his belt … gets the respect, and becomes the hottest thing that this industry has ever seen … and where is he? He’s not on Monday Night Raw … he’s here on SmackDown, filling these arenas, bumping these ratings, boosting those buyrates. All the sudden, he’s got FX kissing your ass.

~ Steph … has become almost … enamored with the scenario Hunter lays out, eyes locked on H, who smirks.

Triple H: It’s right there for the taking. It’s The Game versus the World Heavyweight Champion! The Cerebral Assassin against The Mouth of Green Bay! It’s Triple H versus Mr. Kennedy! It’s … The King … versus … The Prince.

~ Almost unconsciously, it would seem, Steph lets out her trademark smirk, with the scenario that Hunter has laid out.

Stephanie McMahon: That’s catchy.

Triple H: Who wouldn’t pay to see that, huh? Two guys who can talk like we can talk, have our charisma -- Steph … we’d jam ‘em to the damn rafters … Just … think about it. See ya Sunday.

~ Hunter turns and leaves the room, while Steph leans back in her chair, rubbing her chin…

The fourth match sees the United States Champion Bobby Lashley take on ‘The Fallen Angel’ Christopher Daniels, just one of his three opponents at the GAB. Daniels struggles during the early going of the match up, miffed by Lashley’s power and explosiveness. Eventually though, the former CW Champ figures him out a bit, using his veteran experience and craftiness to avoid and stay in control of the bigger Lashley. Heading into the final stretch of the match, Daniels manages to sidestep an oncoming Lashley Spear, causing the U.S. Champion to tumble through the ropes and to the outside. The Real Deal comes up holding his right shoulder in pain. The ref quickly rolls out of the ring, and checks on Lashley, while Daniels taunts the crowd. After five seconds or so, the ref rolls back in the ring, and says something quickly to Daniels. The Fallen Angel quickly rolls out of the ring, grabs the U.S. TITLE BELT, and THEN DRILLS LASHLEY IN THE SKULL!!
The ref calls for the bell @ 8:22, and Lashley sort of … crumbles to the ground, still favoring his shoulder. As The Fallen Angel rolls into the ring, showing off Lashley’s title, several referees jog down the entrance ramp to check on The Real Deal. Soon enough, however, both MATT AND JEFF HARDY sprint down to the entrance ramp to a monstrous ovation! Daniels immediately ditches the belt, and rolls out of the ring, just as the Hardys slide in. Matt and Jeff watch Daniels scurry up the ramp, but soon their attention turns to the title in the middle of the ring. The two brothers both stare down at the prestigious belt they’ll be battling over in a couple of days, while the commentators give us the hard sell … and Lashley’s being looked over by the in-house doctor.

Backstage, Steve Romero stands by with the World Heavyweight Champion Mr. Kennedy. KK states that the last time he and Cena went one on one, it was KK that picked up the victory, and he plans to repeat the process tonight. But after what went down earlier, and what he’s been thinking about for a while now, KK says that after he picks up the pin fall at the GAB … he’ll be facing someone he’s never faced before at S-Slam. Romero asks the obvious question, whether KK is talking about The Rock or not, but Kennedy responds with “Think what you want”, before he walks off.

The main event sees Mr. Kennedy and John Cena do battle. After gaining a feel for one another starting late last year, the two young studs put on a very solid, evenly-matched contest. The finish comes when Cena counters the World Champion’s Mic Check, and gets him up for the FU … but THE ROCK, returning the favor from last week, slides into the ring, AND PLANTS CENA WITH THE ROCK BOTTOM, his second in two weeks!!! The referee calls for the bell, DQ’ing KK @ 12:39.

Rock pounds his chest as he stares down, getting ANOTHER one up on Cena … but KK isn’t happy, spinning Rock around forcefully, and gets right into his face!

The crowd stirs as the two who’ll be partners in a mega tag match two days away begin to argue with one another, with Kennedy reminding Rock he told him to mind his own business, while Rocky responds by waving him off. KK possibly takes it a step too far when he puts his finger in The Rock’s face, and Rock gets ready to make him pay …

...BUT Rock is attacked from behind BY BATISTA!!

Kennedy thinks about helping Rock, but before he can make a decision, Cena spins him around, and rocks him with a hard right hand!! KK and Cena begin to brawl with one another, while Batista and Rock do much of the same, as we fade off the air, with our commentators giving the final hard sell for the mega tag team match and Great American Bash.

Re: 2007 & Beyond - The Second Fucking Coming

While I'm not doing my thread atm, I'll leave predictions on TGAB.

Mega Tag Team Match:
World Hvwt. Champion Mr. Kennedy & ‘The Great One’ The Rock
‘The Boss’ John Cena & ‘The Animal’ Batista
w/‘The Nature Boy’ Ric Flair
{If The Rock, Cena or Batista pick up the deciding fall, they earn a World Title Match at SummerSlam; if Kennedy wins, he chooses his SS opponent.}
I believe after the events that transpired on SmackDown!, that it will most definitely be Kennedy and The Rock getting the victory. And with your current HHH saga going along with him making the 'bid' to face Kennedy in 'The King vs. Prince' match, I believe it will be Kennedy getting the deciding fall.

Triple H’s Championship Fate:
Stephanie McMahon decides on The Game’s World Title Fate
See above.

WWE Tag Team Championship Match:
The Hooligans vs. The Carolina Connection
Don't think we'll see a title change here. Connection has shown they can hang with them over the course of this feud but I don't believe they'll take the belts. I expect some kind of gimmick match for Summerslam in a cap-off of this feud.

A Matter of Respect:
Rey Mysterio vs. Chavo Guerrero
Rey Rey definitely gets the victory here, and moves on to bigger and better things after this feud has taken up the course of most of the year in this thread since Chavo got retired at SNME.

Steel Cage Match:
‘The Fighting Irishman’ Finlay vs. ‘The Silverback’ Mark Henry
I can see this going either way, but I think you're pushing Henry to an extent considering the interaction between T-Lo and HHH. So I'll pick 'The Silverback' here.

United States Championship; Fatal Four Way Match:
‘The Real Deal’ Bobby Lashley vs. Matt Hardy vs. Jeff Hardy
vs. ‘The Fallen Angel’ Christopher Daniels
w/Allison Danger
Here's another toss up, imo. But Daniels has been showing major signs that he'll be taking the title during this fatal four way feud, due to the way he has been used. I can see either that, or Lashley continuing his reign as champion. I just don't see either of The Hardy's getting the victory in this one.

Cruiserweight Championship;
Triple Threat Match:
Jamie Noble vs. Chris Sabin vs. Kid Kash
I see the champion retaining here. Why? Not entirely sure, but it's my thought on it.

Singles Match:
William Regal vs. CM Punk
Punk wins because he's a young star who's going to be getting a push someday. No other reasoning.

Looking forward to this, I'll be reading and probably will comment on it if I have the time to. Keep it up, Mac.

Re: 2007 & Beyond - The Second Fucking Coming

Maccy, nicely shaped PPV...

Final Card for The Great American Bash
July 22nd, 2007
San Jose, California

Mega Tag Team Match:
World Hvwt. Champion Mr. Kennedy & ‘The Great One’ The Rock vs.
‘The Boss’ John Cena & ‘The Animal’ Batista w/‘The Nature Boy’ Ric Flair
{If The Rock, Cena or Batista pick up the deciding fall, they earn a World Title Match at SummerSlam; if Kennedy wins, he chooses his SS opponent.}

Rock vs KK @ Summerslam = RATINGS. No one wants another Super Ken/Batista feud and Cena can then feud with the retunring Undertaker during this time too. Therefore, ROCKY ftw. Plz?

Triple H’s Championship Fate:
Stephanie McMahon decides on The Game’s World Title Fate

Something big is going down here. Should be a good read

WWE Tag Team Championship Match:
The Hooligans vs. The Carolina Connection

CC have been built and built and look the sex of the tag division on SD! Therefore, I think they win. Possible MOTN.

A Matter of Respect:
Rey Mysterio vs. Chavo Guerrero

Rey needs this, Chavo can fuck off. I'm sick of seeing this feud. Rey can do MUCH better.

Steel Cage Match:
‘The Fighting Irishman’ Finlay vs. ‘The Silverback’ Mark Henry

Gonna be a slug, both will bleed. Finlay will win, Henry is shite, thank god for T-Lo

United States Championship; Fatal Four Way Match:
‘The Real Deal’ Bobby Lashley vs. Matt Hardy vs. Jeff Hardy
vs. ‘The Fallen Angel’ Christopher Daniels w/Allison Danger

Matt Hardy > The others.

Cruiserweight Championship; Triple Threat Match:
Jamie Noble vs. Chris Sabin vs. Kid Kash

Kash ftw, but sadly, Noble wins methinks.

Singles Match:
William Regal vs. CM Punk

No Jesus push plz.
