As it has been said a couple times in the thread, I'm using EWR, not TEW. I do have TEW, but I don't think there is a 2001 scenario out for TEW 2005 yet.

Good news. I can't wait for the Stinger to come out and do a match. Sting's matches are pretty good and he can almost work with anybody. I can't wait to see some of these feuds pan out and I am exspecialy into the Booker T/ WCW Planet Jarrett feud.

August 1, 2001- Freedom Hall, Louisville, Kentucky- 2:18PM

Eric Bischoff, Ric Flair, and Steve Borden were backstage in the Freedom Hall, the site of tonight’s Wednesday Nitro. The three men have been having a meeting for the past hour and eighteen minutes, and are currently wrapping up their meeting. The main talks have been about Sting’s return to TV, and what all to do with the feud involving Booker T/Ric Flair, and Jeff Jarrett/Scott Steiner/Mike Awesome. Right now, they are talking about who Booker T should drop the strap to. However, this has been a peaceful meeting. Eric Bischoff and Ric Flair have gotten along smoothly, almost as if they were friends.

Eric Bischoff: Okay, so are we in agreement Booker drops the title to either Jeff Jarrett or Scott Steiner?

Steve Borden: It’s the best idea to do. I agree with it fully.

Ric Flair: I think the idea is great Bischoff; Steiner or Jarrett would be good choices to win the World Heavyweight Title off of Booker T. However, if I make a suggestion, I really think we should go with Jeff Jarrett over Scott Steiner.

Ric Flair threw out his bait, now he waits for Eric Bischoff to go after him. However, it was Borden that called out his suggestion.

Borden: And why should we go with Jeff over Steiner?

Bischoff: Yeah Ric, you don’t own him a guaranteed World Title reign, now do ya?

Bischoff and Borden start laughing, knowing that what Eric said was a complete and total joke. Good thing they laughed too because that meant they couldn’t see the shock on Flair’s face when Bischoff said that. Flair’s jaw dropped, and his eyes widened. After seeing the two laughing though, he realized Eric was joking. He forced out a laugh.

Flair: Ha, ha, that was a joke funny joke, Eric.

Bischoff: I thought it was a pretty nice one seeing as ya know, that’s something I did left and right back in the day.

The trio all share laughs again.

Bischoff: But speaking of the old days, Ric, and you to Steve, I want to apologize to you both. I was a creep back then. I screwed you both over to make my name more famous, to make my creation more famous. I had no one to stop me, and I screwed you both over and over again. Now, thankfully, something like that won’t happen at least; I have you two to control me. But that’s not the point. The point is, I apologize to you Steve for forcing you to basically go on a year long hiatus, and screwing over your Title reign at Starrcade ‘97.

Borden: The Lord forgives all sins, and as do I. You’re forgiven in my eyes Eric, and are a new man.

Bischoff: Thank you, Steve. And Ric, well, I think we all know what I’ve done to you. I tried to fire you; I tried to humiliate you. I tried to turn you into a laughing stock, and ruin your legendary name. I apologize for that sincerely. I hope I have made myself up in your eyes because you have in mine. I’ve changed the way I look at you. I now see you as the legend you are, and an all around great man who I have utmost respect for.

Bischoff and Flair share a smile. Ric on the inside however, was yelling at himself. Bischoff now basically thought of him as a friend, but Ric was screwing over both Steve and Eric, and the company. He made that secret deal with Jeff Jarrett, promising him a guaranteed World Heavyweight title reign. He launched himself into a feud with Jeff, and made him a bigger star. He has set Jeff up for a title reign, and has almost seemingly become obsessed with Jeff. Ever since the meeting began, The Nature Boy had talked about Jeff Jarrett. He praised Jeff’s charisma and ring work a lot, and now once again that there was a silence, he started to talk about Jeff again, almost as if he had word vomit.

Flair: I don’t believe I ever said why Jeff should be champion, didn’t I?

Bischoff: No you didn’t say why, but I thought we kind of moved on from Jeff and the World Title thanks to my joke.

Flair: I guess we did, but that’s not the point. I should explain it. Jeff is the best talent we have in WCW. His ring work is as solid as it can be, both in a technical and brawling manner. His ring psychology and in-ring charisma is great, and he can work the mic and the crowd really well too.

Borden: We know, Ric, you’ve said all this stuff about five times now.

Flair: Oh… right.

Borden and Flair shared an uncomfortable stare. Bischoff saw it, and seemed to be thinking the same thing Borden was. What was Flair’s deal with Jarrett? They both realized he had been talking about Jeff profusely in their meeting lately, and it almost seemed like Ric was in love with the man. However, before anything could be discussed about it, Flair escaped the future problem.

Flair: Well hey guys, look at the time, it’s already 2:35. The pre-show meeting begins in ten minutes, and the taping starts at four. We better get out of here and go to the pre-show meeting with the talent.

Flair gets up out of his chair, and heads for the door. Bischoff and Borden stay seated.

Flair: Uh, are you two coming?

Bischoff and Borden give an uneasy stare at one another, but start to get to their feet.

Borden: Yeah… we’re coming.

Bischoff and Borden walked out of the room with Flair, and headed towards the meeting. However, both men were suspicious on what was going on between Flair and Jarrett. Something was up, but they had no idea just what it could be.

Tag Match - Al right but I don't like Bagwell and Luger coming to WCW and squsashing uprising talent.

Ric Steiner vs. Hugh Morris - Boring. I know your trying to fit in as much talent as possible but this shouldn't have been the way. The Lance/Morris thing was short and had of no explanation.

Booker T vs. Mike Awesome - This was a good main event and made Awesome have a purpose or being in the Jarrett/Steiner faction. Flair and Anderson coming out was very old school.

Overall, 7/10. Not one of your best but this is still the best new thread I have seen in months.

Thanks for posting some of your negatuves to the show. I shall try and clear things up.

~Lex Luger and Sting are best friends, so Luger is going to get some wins over his opponents. In this case, him and Buff will get the wins. Plus, they're veterans of the company, they deserve some form of a "push". O'Haire and Palumbo are lacking, and need some creative direction. Until then, job duty it may seem.

~I had Hugh vs. Rick to give Hugh a solid win, and let it be known Rick as no affliation whatsoever with Scott, Midajah, or the faction, since he was previously aligned with Steiner and Midajah. He sucked at Slamboree, so now he jobs for it. And for Lance and Hugh... the two have been feuding for a while now. Why wouldn't Lance want to cheap shot Hugh whenever he can?

~Yepp, Mike Awesome is the shit me thinks. Great talent, and can be a great enforcer, which he proved here. Arn and Ric coming out just show that the old son bitches still got a fight in them. I would love to have Arn wrestle in this feud, but realistically, it just can't happen.

~Only having six segments to deal with, it is hard to string together solid shows while building storylines. I believe I am doing the best I can to develop the storylines, while still having interesting segments to the show, and trying to keep it in an hour length. No worries though, i should be back up to primeitme after Souled Out, giving me the opprotunity to be more creative and unique with Nitro's.

~The next Nitro is almsot done. I'm going to try and get the preview up within the next 10 minutes before I go out. If I do, I'll just edit it in here.

Preview...

WCW Wednesday Nitro Preview- August 1, 2001

World Championship Wrestling will host its fourth edition of Wednesday Nitro on NBC this Wednesday night at 10 PM EST from the Freedom Hall, in Louisville, Kentucky! Join “The Voice of WCW” Tony Schiavone and “The Professor” Mike Tenay for another action-packed hour of World Championship Wrestling action!

Last week, Jeff Jarrett, Mike Awesome, and Scott Steiner struck again. The three men viciously attacked Booker T, and almost rendered him unconscious after Awesome put Booker T through the announcer’s table in their scheduled match-up. When all hope seemed lost, The Nature Boy, Ric Flair, and The Enforcer, Arn Anderson, came running down to the rescue with steel chairs. This week, WCW President Eric Bischoff has booked a 2 on 3 handicap match, featuring Booker T and Ric Flair versus Jeff Jarrett, Mike Awesome, and Scott Steiner. This match was requested by Arn Anderson and Ric Flair, who look to take it to the three men trying to gain power and control in the company. Can Awesome, Jarrett, and Steiner gain a valuable victory over Booker and Flair? Or will Booker T and The Nature Boy be able to fight the odds and win the battle tonight? Find out on Wednesday Nitro!

Also, the number one contendership for the WCW Cruiserweight Championship will be up for grabs tonight in a fatal four way match! The winner of the match will take on current champion “Sugar” Shane Helms at the next Pay Per View, Souled Out, on August 26. The four men participating in the match will be two-time champion Chavo Guerrero Jr., who lost the belt to Helms, former 3 Count member Shannon Moore, Lash Leroux, and Yung Dragon member Kaz Hayashi. This will be a fast and exciting match up that you won’t want to miss! Also on Nitro, the Filthy Animals, Billy Kidman and Konnan, take on the Mamalukes, Big Vito and Johnny The Bull! All this, plus appearances by Eric Bischoff, Arn Anderson, Lance Storm, and much, much more! Be sure to check out WCW Wednesday Nitro this Wednesday night, at 10 PM, only on NBC!

Confirmed Match:

Booker T & Ric Flair vs. Jeff Jarrett, Mike Awesome, & Scott Steiner
Filthy Animals vs. The Mamalukes
Chavo Guerrero Jr. vs. Kaz Hayashi vs. Lash Leroux vs. Shannon Moore

I meant the way that it was hyped this week felt flat.

Nice preview as it looks to be a good handicap match.
