ECW

Honestly, so far, this new incarnation of ECW hasnt filled me with much hope. Okay, it's only two weeks old, but imo, it could've done with a really hot angle to kick start the show, but it's failed to do that. Right now, I get the feeling this is a third brand of the WWE, and not a stand alone entity. Maybe that's what you're aiming for, but I dont think it is. Not only that, but it's bordering on becoming as irrelevant as the WWE ECW if it continues on this route. If this ECW is to succeed, it needs an edge (and I dont mean the Rated R Superstar variety).

Anyway, surprising win for Stevie over Sabu to advance in the tournament. Nice to see Richards gain a win, even if it is down to the interference of a certain Monty Brown (assuming The Pounce = the giveaway).

Meh, Monty Brown > Cor Von. Name issues aside, I've always liked the Alpha Male, so he's a good addition to any roster in the WWE. His entrance to ECW was forgettable though imo, taking out Sabu, because he does whatever he wants. Not exactly cutting edge (two non related Edge puns in three paragraphs.)

Liking 'Dashing' Danny Doring. And he could certainly be a fixture in this thread with the right type of build. Doring giving Snow head = Priceless btw .

'Bayou Beast'. Another name I'm liking. Theodore Long as a manager > Theodore Long as a referee > Theodore Long as a GM. Good move putting him back as a manager, and it'll be nice to see what you do with Mack.

Kennedy (who looks like he'll get a real chance to get spotlight in this brand) and RVD get the predictable win, but you called it that way anyway, so no surprises. From here, it looks nailed on that Kennedy meets RVD in the final, but imo, it looks too obvious right now, so I think one of them will lose out before that.

Credit where it's due, Dreamer vs Sandman in the main event is definately more of an homage to old school ECW than a third WWE brand. Like that both men got to let loose, and ultimately the right guy went over, as Dreamer rocks .

---

Friday Night Smackdown

HBK coming to the ring to kick things off is certainly the right way to kick off proceedings given his big switch on Monday. Michaels & Edge get their first face off out of the way, and we're cooking up a great world title feud to roll into WM.

Havent followed the last week or so of SD, so I've missed what's been going on with Punk. Whether this is just kicking off a feud with Regal or the continuation doesnt matter really, as giving Punk a veteran like Regal should be a good platform for him to settle in as a WWE guy, and get him a couple of high profile-ish wins against a grizzled veteran.

I like the fact you havent buried the guys who have been buried IRL. Dykstra of course being a prime example of that. I dont see him winning the U.S Title any time soon, with Matt Hardy just getting his run started, but it's a solid little feud to get Hardys reign rolling.

Huge win for the youngster, and surely that = a title shot for Dykstra. His pairing with Ashley is cool too, as she's just as irritating .

MVP vs Cena @ No Way Out is certainly the one match (bar the main event), that stands out for me on that card. HUGE opportunity for MVP, and y'know, I think with help from Finlay, he might just pull off the upset.

WM spoiler - Angle to face Triple H. Should be awesome. Seeds have been planted there, and now we'll just sit back and watch the story unfold. It's been a while since they met, so it's fresh, which is what WM always needs.

Meh, Deuce & Domino just dont do it for me. If they are sticking as champions, I hope they play no part at WM. Very uninspiring tag team that lacks any real excitement. On the other hand, it's nice to see the CW title feud continue to develop.

Surprised to see Punk vs Regal making the card for No Way Out. Certainly would appear to show your intent to give Punk a push, and quickly. MITB spot at WM loom methinks.

Looks to me like Rey Mysterio is lost in the shuffle on Smackdown. No real feud for him would lead me to thinking he's just keeping low until MITB time where he could play a massive role. He should beat Burchill next week though, you'd think so anyway.

Excellent build up for the mammoth tag match at NWO, with the BOD getting the upper hand this evening. Nicely done too, with a slight touch on the lights and appearing schtick.

No shocks that the #1 Contender for WM beats Henry. Aftermath puts HBK over even more, outwitting the champion and his lackey with SCM into the chair, and face accordingly. I was expecting some sort of mention to the tag match at NWO at some point on the show, but it never came .

ECW Feedback

Hmm, not alot of people start their shows with a match. Some even have commentary first before the match you didn't, I'm not criticizing though as its better to not jump onto the bandwagon. Richards against Sabu, Sabu was my favorite to win but I'm pleased you give Stevie the chance with a upset victory. Doubt he will win it all though.

Cor Von on ECW is awesome as I really liked him and I wish he never left, I like how he did the pounce on Sabu last match. I have a feeling your going to make him look strong by just destroying everybody? I hope he gets a good push though as he deserves it

First off laughing my arse off at “Doring just gave head to Snow”. I don't actually know who Doring is So I can't comment much on the match. He gets a decent victory over Snow which is good.

Theodore Long on ECW? I don't understand does he run ECW and SmackDown or something? Sorry if I seem an idiot lol. Anyways I don't know this Rodney Mack dude, must be before my time is he a oldie if you know what I mean???

I'm loving this thing with Kennedy, him hating being on ECW is quite enjoyable to read. I like how he doesn't wanna wrestle but is then made by Heyman. I can see Kennedy and Rob Van Dam getting the win and maybe the two start brawling?

I was right! Rob Van Dam and Kennedy easily defeat FBI, imo. Kennedy then attacks Rob Van Dam with the Mic-Check which furthers their 'feud' and gives the tournament more credibility. I think either Rob Van Dam or Kennedy will win the tournament and then win the ECW title. Most likely Rob.

Two ECW legends against one another, Nice! I'm pleased Dreamer got the win as he is more over imo. Like how they showed respect for each other being friends, and how Dreamer helped Sandman back up.

Overall, A very good ECW imo. Good booking decisions and you have a good thing going with Kennedy and also the tournament is shaping up to be Awesome. Its only the early going for ECW but I can see its going to be awesome when it gets more people on the roster.

SmackDown! Feedback

Nice promo to start things off, I like how Shawn Michaels is facing Edge at WrestleMania. It was obvious Edge would cut him off or something but it was still good how he went over everybody he has beaten at WrestleMania. Would of liked to have seen Shawn Michaels vs. Edge but I guess you have to save it for the Royal Rumble. Shawn Michaels vs. Mark Henry is decent, I guess.

William Regal and Taylor are awesome imo. Good to see CM Punk get the win but you made it so that Regal and Taylor still looked strong which is a good booking decision. If Punk had finished it with the Go 2 Sleep Regal would have looked weak.

I like the Hardy and Dykstra feud you have going, is Ashley a heel diva since she is with Dykstra? I hope to god you don't put the United States Title onto Dykstra. Please don't do that, continue the feud by all means but keep the title on Hardy

An upset win on Hardy by Dykstra, I still hope you don't give Dykstra the strap. To answer my own question before I think Ashley is a heel diva as you had her run into the ring and congratulate Dykstra.

You answered the criticism I see, as you had MVP say he doesn't like doing dirty work for people. I like how Finlay reassured him by saying he was doing it for himself and if he beat Cena he would guarantee himself into stardom.

Kurt repeated himself abit then imo. Decent promo, I think that Angle might appear at WrestleMania and interfere with Hunter, but thats just my opinion. He said he wants to appear at WrestleMania so thats why I think that.

Deuce and Domino as tag team champions? I like London and Kendrick. I wish they could be champions forever Oh well, I guess if your wanting to push Deuce and Domino this is the best way. I see they won them cheating like they usually do which is good, as it would have been less effective if you made them win cleanly.

I wonder who the new Number One Contender will be? I don't think it will be Chavo as it would be too obvious. Dykstra versus Hardy for the title Please don't give the title to Dykstra, CM Punk versus Regal is an okay announcement

Squash match for the heel Batista? I like how he calls out Kane but Undertaker comes out too, Next week on Friday Night SmackDown, Batista and someone versus Kane and the Undertaker? I can read minds

Shawn Michaels got the win over Mark Henry which is no surprise. Orton attacking him was abit of a surprise but they do have a tag match at No Way Out. Edge attacking Michaels before Orton was no surprise however, still I enjoyed reading

Overall, A great SmackDown. The booking decisions were awesome, you had the right people win under the right circumstances Keep up the good work, Raw should be good as will No Way Out.

WWE.com News and Notes

Looking at the Raw side of things first the show was said to have gone over well. There really was no doubt all along that the main event was going to be Shawn Michaels vs. Edge. It's a relative new feud and creative is very happy going into WrestleMania now with this match on the table.

It seems as if Carlito is going to be slowly turning heel once again. He started his current face run before WrestleMania last year but creative knows he works better as a heel. So really it doesn't seem as if it's going to be too much longer before we see the old Carlito back since hints have been dropped on Raw recently.

There had been talks of having Finlay interrupt the Fatal 4 Way this week but once WWE settled on Kurt intefering they felt that it was big enough. Apparently they didn't want to overshadow any appearance, etc. of Angle on Raw. Pretty much overcrowd the interference in the match is what was not wanted to be done.

Raw Roulette is making it's return to televesion next week for the first time in about three years and four months. There have only been two before so hopefully this one can deliver well in the ratings.

Charlie Haas's push is seeming to go over real well backstage. It all was a part of the grand scheme that started last August where he went on the streak of losing matches to finding a tag partner to now. Creative is really happy with how he's been built up and they feel he could be a big mid-carder by the end of the year.

Overall on the ECW scheme of things now ECW is starting to slowly kick off with a bang. Nothing really "major" has been done yet but there is a possibility of something soon happening in the near future. WWE wants to mix it up by using a bit of it's Extreme tradition but at the same time allowing stars to appear on ECW to "hone their craft" and then move back or to the main rosters.

Marcus Cor Von formerly known as Monty Brown made his television debut on ECW this week. Cor Von signed with WWE last September after he was released from TNA. Cor Von is liked backstage so they felt the best way to introduce him of course would be to shock the fans and have him Pounce the hell out of Sabu.

"Dashing" Danny Doring is a project of ECW writer Dave Lagana. Lagana likes Doring and the new character that he has and he feels that Doring has that "look" to do at least something decent on ECW. The character is kinda a resemblance to the Sylvan character "bar the Ambassador of Quebec" with the shades, long coat, and etc. Sylvan hasn't been seen on TV in months so Lagana felt fine by using this gimmick for Doring.

Rodney Mack will be making his return to the WWE on the ECW TV tapings on the 27th of February. Mack is coming back underneath a new nickname "The Bayou Beast" Apparently they are going to keep with his old character and all but add a new twist to it making him seem as if he is a dominant beast from the South.

Moving onto Smackdown now. Edge and HBK both kicked off their program rather well this week. Creative was happy with how the promo came off on TV and feels that they have many more good ones ahead of them.

Kenny Dykstra has been rewarded with a small push over the past few weeks. Dykstra is seen to have a good attitude and willing to listen backstage to advice from the veterans. Dykstra is only 20 years old so he is currently the youngest star on the roster and knows he doesn't want to make a bad rubbing on anybody backstage.

Kurt Angle is set to have a few weeks off on Smackdown. It seems as if Triple H vs. Kurt Angle will take place at WrestleMania as of now but it's unsure as of whether Angle will be set to go for WrestleMania. If so he most likely won't wrestle at all (and if he does it'll be small matches) WWE knows that they need one of their biggest stars at WrestleMania but if something were to happen WWE has a back up plan right now in effect if Angle can't wrestle.

Deuce and Domino coming in and winning the WWE Tag Team titles this early was unexpected but had to happen due to Brian Kendrick injuring his leg this past weekend at a house show. Kendrick worked the tapings with his leg taped but he'll be out until after WrestleMania.

Rey Mysterio indeed is "floating around right now" without a program. Currently he most likely won't be wrestling at No Way Out in a week but anything is possible.

Chris Jericho was not able to attend the Smackdown/ECW TV tapings Tuesday night so he wasn't able to come down after the HBK vs. Henry match of course.

And finally concerning No Way Out. No Way Out looks to be having eight matches but there is a possibility of one more being added. A few of the matches are set to run short so a few might be thrown out there. Last year's had nine and was a Smackdown only show so it seems as if WWE might throw out one more match.

HEAT Tapings

Test def. Val Venis
Torrie Wilson def. Candice
Shelton Benjamin and Elijah Burke def. The Highlanders to retain the World Tag Team titles

------------

I might edit in some news and notes if I forgot some later. Anyways as you can tell I've posted a few of the past few week's shows in recap. Well that will continue for this week so I can get to No Way Out. I have or never did have any desire to write No Way Out in full as it's really not THAT big of a Pay Per View but still...it'll be recapped in detail. Other than that look for a recapped Raw tomorrow night most likely.

ECW Feedback

Quality bout to kick the night off with. Richards and Sabu are two of the Originals with a bit more credibility. I really did have Sabu down as a dead certainty to advance mind you, so having him lose was a ... nice change, especially if it means an unsung legend like Stevie Richards getting a little bit of a push. POOOOOUUUNNNNNCCCCEEEE~!!! I will be doing that weekly from now on, just to let you know, because The Alpha Male is in the house. A feud with Sabu will be a great way to debut Cor Von in ECW. I hope Elijah Burke is on his way too. I don't really have a problem with the name change either. Brown or Cor Von?? They're both good.

Wow, you're certainly high on this Doring fellow aren't you?? I wish I actually knew who he was, but I'm afraid I don't. You mentioned in some notes that he's like Sylvan, so I'll go with that in my head. HEAD~!!! Now that's what I call old school. You've got a dirty mind, sonny jim

The Bayou Beast, WTF You have to love the originality of it. Is that all your own invention, becauseif it is it's very nice. Plus, Teddy Long getting his groove back on as a heel manager makes me happy. I honestly can't remember all that much about Mack though. I'd be careful not to turn ECW into land of the heels though.

Kennedy is awesome in ECW already. You won me over with it last time, as he just gets to dominate the entire show really. Love the idea of him teaming with RVD against the FBI; kind of reminds me of what happened earlier this year with Kennedy and HBK, with KK hitting the Mic Check after the match. If these two don't meet for the ECW Championship at WrestleMania, I'll be very surprised.

Like Wolfy said, it's definately a respectful move to have these two guys Main Event the show, really showing the stakes. I too would have chosen Dreamer to advance, simply because I think he has more left in the tank than Sandman. Great way to close the show. So now it's Richards/Kennedy and RVD/Dreamer??

SmackDown! Feedback

With Edge and HBK together in a feud at least you have a guranteed great promo each and every week eh?? Solid way to kick off the show with their first real one-on-one encounter{Orton and Jericho absent}, which cranks up the tension. I think the similarities should be built on. The choice of Mark Henry for Michaels' opponent fits Edge's character perfectly, stacking the odds against The Showstopper. I expect HBK to get back to his giant killing ways though and put Henry down.

Wow, this CM Punk/Bluebloods feud has actually been given quite a lot of attention hasn't it?? I honestly didn't think it was anything other than a squash feud to build Punk up more. Hopefully this leads to the Punksters first PPV appearance.

I agree with Wolfy that it is good that you a pushing guys like Kenny who disappeared in reality, but I think the manner in which he went over Hardy damaged Matt's credibility as champion somewhat. Hardy has only held it for a short while, and I think he should have gained more momentum before losing. A title decider at No Way Out now looks a certainty. I still have no idea why Ashley is there though

There we go, that makes much more sense now with MVP just wanting to break through the glass ceiling with a win over Cena at No Way Out. Makes more sense than simply having Porter simply being someone's lackey.

I'm really enjoying this set up for the Hunter/Angle feud at WrestleMania, especially with the emphasis on Kurt's injury. With him being out for a few weeks, I can see Hunter really bringing some intensity to the feud, but I do think it's a nice way to build it.

NEW TAG CHAMPS~!!! Ignore Wolfy, Deuce and Domino are a great heel team no doubt. They're no Cade and Murdoch admittedly, but they're still entertaining as hell if given time to shine. Jamie Noble has to be interfering only because he's bored without any challengers.

Chavo Guerrero plz. JBL has to make it happen. Punk getting a PPV spot so early in his career has me hopeful of a MITB spot for him. Hardy should deal with Dykstra quite comfortably though.

Rey Mysterio is now officially the most directionless man in the WWE I thought the Edge/Burchill appearance seemed a bit random at first, but if it serves to set up a small, short Burchill/Rey Rey feud for the next couple of weeks it could work.

Nothing really special about the build up for the BOD/Umaga and 'Tista. I don't think Big Dave has done much of anything but squash jobbers like Shannon Moore, so I hope his match at No Way Out straightens him out.

No shocks at all that Michaels managed to run right through Mark Henry and head ninto 'Mania like a house of fire. I think perhaps Burchill should have done more than just get complete flattened, and if Orton was there ... where was Jericho?? Luckily, I read your notes, so I understand why he wasn't. A bit of tension between the face team perahaps? The heels need dominance anyway.

Monday Night Raw
Monday February 12, 2007
Portland, Oregon

Raw kicks off tonight with Chris Jericho making his way down the ramp. Jericho says that he has some important things to talk about here tonight but first off he needs to apologize to one man and one man only…Shawn Michaels! Jericho says he knows that HBK and himself have a troubled history but now he’s past that. Jericho says that he’s regained the trust of the Jerichoholics back (minor pop) and that now he’s ready to move on past those days. Jericho says that it was his fault he wasn’t at Smackdown and for that he wants to apologize. Jericho calls out HBK but instead out comes Chuck Palumbo. Palumbo hasn’t been seen since he hit Jericho backstage. Palumbo walks down challenging the character of his former friend. Palumbo says that he knew Jericho was always like this…a little bitch! Palumbo says that when he was backing Jericho up he knew that he (Palumbo) would always have to do the dirty work. Chuck asks Jericho what is he going to do now that he doesn’t have him in his corner at WrestleMania? Chuck keeps on provoking Jericho for a bit before the music of Randy Orton sounds across the arena. Orton walks down the ramp challenging the character of HBK as well. Orton reminds the fans that Jericho “let his friend HBK” get laid out in the ring twice in one week! Orton says he never did that to Edge and that he never will! Orton reminds Jericho about their big tag match this Sunday and how Jericho probably will “back out” once again. Orton teases Jericho for a bit longer before out comes the Raw GM Jonathan Coachman. Coach says that he’s tired of hearing it between these two. Coach books a big tag match tonight with Randy Orton teaming with Chuck Palumbo to take on Chris Jericho in a Handicap Match! And if HBK interferes Coach has talked to Smackdown GM JBL and HBK will be STRIPPED of his title shot at WrestleMania 23!

Raw kicks off tonight-in big fashion with the Number One Contender’s Tag Team Battle Royal. The match features the teams of Cade and Murdoch, The Highlanders, MNM, Cryme Tyme, Val Venis and Viscera, and Matt Striker and Test! All six teams go at it for a while and the first team to be gone from the match happens to be Val and Big Vis after Test greets Val with a Big Boot to the head sending Venis over the ropes! The refs have to get Viscera to get out of the ring since only one team member has to be eliminated. Shortly after the Highlanders find themselves gone after Rory is dumped out of the ring thanks to a big clothesline from big Shad! A surprise elimination takes place next as Mercury and Nitro hit the Snapshot on Cade and dumped Cade out of the ring bringing it down to three teams in MNM, Cryme Tyme, and Striker and Test! Shortly after the elimination of Cade and Murdoch, Nitro gets dumped out surprisingly thanks to the power of Test! This leaves the match down to the two teams in which we see Cryme Tyme isolate Test in the corner with double-teaming before JTG and Shad team up to hit the G-9! Cryme Tyme both grab Striker throwing him out of the ring and earning a title shot next week here on Raw! JTG and Shad celebrate their wins as we cut backstage to see Burke and Benjamin watching on TV not looking too much impressed.

Shortly after this we head backstage to see Ric Flair being interviewed. Todd asks Ric about his two big losses the past week and Ric says that yes he has had a few rough weeks. But Ric says that this week will be even better because he’s going to make that no good son of a gun…Charlie Haas tap out in the middle of the ring. Flair says that he’s been betrayed many times but he feels this one might have hurt the most. Flair says that for someone to turn on the WOOO! Limousine ridin’, jet flyin’, wheelin’ and dealin’, kiss stealin’ son of a gun! WOOO! Is crazy! And now Flair will show Haas this Sunday just how much of a “submission specialist he really is” WOOOOOO!!!

After the break our second match of the night takes place as Umaga goes one on one with the Big Red Machine Kane! Kane is making a special appearance from Smackdown tonight and these two men put on a decent match in the ring. Nothing really special comes out of it and of course it ends in controversy whenever Batista runs down to the ring and spears the living hell out of Kane! Kane gets double teamed on by Batista and Umaga until the lights go out! Batista and Umaga ditch the ring now as Estrada helps lead Umaga back up the ramp! Batista and Umaga turn around to see flames burst up after a big strike of lightning hits the stage! Batista and Umaga look at the flames behind them as Kane sits up in the ring and Undertaker is behind him! The Brothers of Destruction are both kneeling right now doing their signature pose as we head to a commercial.

After the break we come back to see Triple H being interviewed via satellite. It is presumed he is not here tonight but of course all of the fans know how these segments work! Anyways JR and King question Triple H about Kurt Angle screwing him over last week and Hunter says that Angle will get what is coming to him in due time. See Triple H doesn’t play these games and he is already pissed that he is not main eventing WrestleMania AGAIN this year! Hunter says he’s not going to put up with this crap anymore and he has one person to blame for it…Kurt Angle! Hunter says that he’s sat back for too long without saying or doing something but he feels now is the time! Hunter says that next week here on Raw…he’s got a surprise for Kurt Angle! JR and King speculate on what the surprise is but nobody knows as we head to a commercial.

Back in the ring the third match of the night takes place as its Charlie Haas against…Ric Flair’s son Reid Flair! Reid gets a decent ovation since he’s training right now in OVW but Haas works over Reid for a bit. Reid does get a bit of action in as he rolled Haas up briefly but only got a two count! The fans were excited as this young man could have almost up set Haas. But shortly after that Haas pretty much snaps just throwing Reid around everywhere with the three German Suplexes! Haas quickly locks in the Haas of Pain forcing Reid to tap out but he won’t let go! Haas is yelling like a madman until Ric Flair comes running down the ramp! Haas of course ditches and then slides into the crowd as we see Ric attend to his son Reid in the ring.

Backstage after the match Maria interviews Carlito. Maria asks Carlito about his match this Sunday at No Way Out to which Carlito responds with that he will be the one walking out with the Intercontinental title. Carlito reminds the fans that he is a former Intercontinental champion and the coolest of them all! Carlito says that the fans have seen a recent attitude change in Carlito but Carlito is back to himself now! Carlito closes it off with spitting the apple at Maria as she wipes it off her face as we head to a commercial break.

The fourth match of the night pits Carlito taking on Eugene in a quick squash match. Carlito runs right over Eugene before finishing him off with the Back Cracker! Carlito gets the mic once again talking trash about Jeff Hardy before we see Hardy hit the ring! Hardy rolls into the ring before kicking Carlito in the sternum and dropping him with the Twist of Fate! Hardy makes his way to the top rope climbing up for the Swanton but Carlito rolls out of the ring! Hardy stares down Carlito from the top rope as Carlito backs his way up the ramp.

Backstage John Cena is shown standing in front of the camera. Cena talks about how Finlay has been a thorn in his side for the past few weeks or so. Cena says that this Sunday he puts a halt to that whenever he runs right through Finlay’s representative MVP. Cena says that MVP is a wannabe baller and nothing more. Cena laughs at how he states he makes the most money and just laughs at a few more general things about MVP. Cena says that all of that aside this Sunday he puts his feelings and thoughts aside and goes out there to do one thing…whip some ass!

After the break the WrestleMania 23 video airs and shortly after we see an announcement stating that the first Class of 2007 Hall of Fame member will be announced next week here on Raw!

We get a brief divas match to hype up the Battle Royal this Sunday that sees Mickie James take on Melina in a rematch from two weeks ago. Mickie got a pinfall win last week over Melina but this week Melina returns the favor after she drops Mickie with the Inverted Split Leg Bulldog onto Mickie. Melina gets the win and celebrates stating that she’ll be the next Women’s champion! Melina teases all of the fans until we see all of the divas run down the ramp. Maria tackles Melina as we see all 10 divas from Raw, Smackdown, and ECW that will be in the match going at it right now. The Women’s Champion Victoria walks onto the ramp watching her competition beat one another up before Sunday.

Backstage we see Randy Orton and Chuck Palumbo talking. Orton tells Palumbo that he knows he has a troubled history with Jericho but that tonight he needs to leave all things aside for Randy to take care of. Orton asks Palumbo if he understands and Palumbo nods his head! Orton walks off as Palumbo looks at him as if he was crazy!

The main event takes place as the WWE champion Randy Orton teams with Chuck Palumbo to take on Chris Jericho in a Handicap Match. King and JR constantly hype that if HBK interferes then he will lose his title match at WrestleMania thanks to Smackdown GM JBL! We notice halfway through the match that the World-Heavyweight Champion Edge makes his way down to the ring. Palumbo and Orton are dominating throughout the match right now before Palumbo was able to distract the referee! Edge ran into the ring charging at Jericho who was getting back onto his feet and Edge connected with a Spear but it was to his friend Randy Orton! Edge looks at what he did before he rolls out of the ring grabbing his title and panicking. Palumbo turns around right into the Codebreaker from Jericho! Jericho throws Palumbo over covering and getting the win! Jericho rolls out of the ring as we hear the music of HBK ring throughout the crowd. HBK meets Jericho at the top of the ramp as they have a small stare down but eventually turn towards the ring and watch on as Edge helps Orton back to his feet as Raw comes to an end.

Default Re: WWE Unleash the Fury

Heh, looks like I dropped in at just the right moment...

Monday Night Raw

Good to see the #1 Contender open up proceedings ... yet if I were reading for the first time, I wouldnt know it . Not a mention of Jericho going to the Raw main event of Mania in the opening moments of the promo, but an apology for HBK instead. Out comes Palumbo (pleased to see he hasnt been forgotten), and reignites his mini feud with Jericho. Then, out comes the champ, giving No Way Out a little hype, before we get our main event announcement - handicap match main event. Like the added stipulation on lack of HBK involvement, although handicap matches generally suck ass .

Never been too keen on Cryme Tyme, but they appear to be the only viable face team on the show to take on Gold Standard right now. If that's the case, you need a serious overhaul on the face side of the Raw tag division imo.

I'd doubt Charlie Haas turning on Flair would be his most bitter backstab in his career ... BUT- it is one of those things we always hear in this type of situation to try and add fuel to the fire. Could certainly be a crossroads for Haas at No Way Out imo. A win could send him skyrocketing, but a loss would likely see him stuck in the mid card forever.

More Undertaker tricks in the build up for the monster tag match. I see a heel win at No Way Out to give Umaga some momentum for his natural WM match with Taker, before doing the job.

Triple H gets to talk some more about Kurt Angle via satellite. This feud right now is poised to be the big one imo for WM. Just needs something massive to send it over the edge imo, and that could be whatever next weeks surprise is. Hope it's huge .

Reid Flair. TBH, I wasnt expecting to see this, with Haas taking on Rics son. Again, it makes things a little more personal now for the PPV. See my comments from the Flair interview earlier for my other thoughts here.

YAY!!! Carlito spits apples again . Good to see, as he works much better as a heel. The match with Hardy at No Way Out could be a real cracker.

Cena vs MVP could be a really interesting match on the No Way Out card. A win for MVP in any way would be enormous for him ... and I think he'll get it thanks to Finlay in order to really get the fireworks going in the Cena - Finlay feud.

Surely Mickie James is winning the Battle Royal?? The only real contender for Victoria imo, although if you wanted to follow WWE, you'd be going for this years Playboy cover girl. I dont see that happening here, so Mickie is winning ... hopefully.

Huge win for Jericho against the odds to boost his credibility. Orton though could do with a win now imo, as he lost to HBK last week, and now in a 2 on 1 environment lost to Jericho, even that it was due to a mix up, it's still a loss that would hurt. Clean win over Y2J at No Way Out would be the remedy imo.

Not sure what the deal is with Michaels and Jericho. Could there be some sort of double cross between them at No Way Out?? It doesnt seem likely, but something just doesnt seem right about their current relationship.
