Re: WWE Unleash the Fury
We open up to a battlefield to see warriors fighting. The warriors are all fighting and duking it out as we notice in particular one fall down onto the ground after being shot with an arrow.
Narrator:
A true warrior is one that can fight ‘til the end despite being knocked down.
We head back into the battlefield to see one warrior get knocked down with a punch to the face and his mouth falls down into the sand. The warrior slowly gets back onto his feet and pulls himself up spitting sand out everywhere.
Narrator:
There are many inspiring characteristics in a warrior such as courage…
We now notice that the warrior that was shot in the stomach with the arrow is trying to get back onto his feet.
Narrator:
Aggressiveness…
The warrior that was knocked down to the ground is back up ready to fight as he charges at the one that knocked him down.
Narrator:
And many other admirable traits that are inside of them.
We notice now that the warriors are starting to die as the battle is starting to make it’s way towards the end.
Narrator:
But the one true admirable trait inside of a real warrior is the fact that they can be the last one standing!
There is only one warrior left as he lets out a big battle cry as he holds his sword high in the air and cups his hands yelling out to the heavens.
Narrator:
For the twentieth annual year the WWE superstars are all assembled once again to do battle
Highlights of many current WWE superstars in action are shown.
Narrator:
Thirty warriors will step into that ring tonight but twenty-nine will become like the other warriors that came before them.
Past highlights of the Royal Rumbles in the past are shown with superstars being dumped to the outside of the ring.
Narrator:
Those twenty-nine warriors will realize that a dream has come and passed them by.
It shows highlights of competitors in the past verbally angry after being eliminated by numerous methods such as attacking others, slapping the mat, etc.
Narrator:
But when the dust has settled…
We now head back into the battlefield to see a big cloud of dust suddenly come up.
Narrator:
We will know that one person in this world is here and has arrived…
The dust starts to get lighter as we start to see notice something or someone.
Narrator:
That they have came here with a reason and purpose…
The dust slowly continues to fade away.
Narrator:
And we will know that this warrior is destined for greatness.
Suddenly the dust is all gone as we notice the back of a helmet of a warrior. The warrior slowly turns around and takes his helmet off to reveal Mr. McMahon!
Mr. McMahon:
For tonight thirty warriors have arranged to come do battle here in the Alamo. Only one will make it out of here with the dreams that they have dreamt their whole life.
Mr. McMahon pulls his sword out and holds it.
Mr. McMahon:
Tonight these warriors are not here to make friends but instead are here to become bitter enemies…
Quick and fading highlights of friends and tag partners turning on one another to eliminate one in the match are shown.
Mr. McMahon:
For we all know that on this night you cannot trust anyone but yourself…
Mr. McMahon puts his helmet back on as we suddenly head to a black screen with a bible quote on it.
Narrator:
"The bows of the warriors are broken,
…but those who stumbled are armed with strength. – 1 Samuel 2:4
Suddenly after the bible scripture disappears we head out to see the Royal Rumble logo come across the screen.
Narrator:
And now Raw, Smackdown, and Castrol GTX proudly present to you WWE Royal Rumble!
Drones by Rise Against hits now as the theme song for the Royal Rumble plays loudly in the arena. The camera pans across the arena as we see the set up which has two big opening doors playing off the Ancient Rome theme. The camera then situates itself on the commentating team at ringside as we head over to them to get the night kicked off.
Jim Ross:
Hello one and all and welcome to the twentieth annual Royal Rumble. I am Jim Ross and here is my partner Jerry “The King” Lawler.
Jerry Lawler:
JR I’ve been waiting for this night for a while. Probably since last year’s WrestleMania because tonight is the official beginning of the road to WrestleMania!
Jim Ross:
We all find out one of the WrestleMania main events after tonight but don’t let that hinder tonight’s matches.
Jerry Lawler:
Oh it won’t JR because so much is riding on the line tonight as Raw brings two big matches to the table as well! Our World Tag Team titles will be defended as Ric Flair and Charlie Haas teams to take on Shelton Benjamin and Elijah Burke!
Jim Ross:
Rumors have been going around that the ECW Originals have bought tickets tonight to sit right over at ringside (the camera pans over to show an empty row of seats) and they might be here for our Raw main event as Randy Orton defends his WWE championship against ECW original Rob Van Dam!
Jerry Lawler:
Tazz and Michael! Take it away!
Michael Cole:
Thanks a lot guys and I know Raw has some big matches tonight but still that doesn’t mean Smackdown’s isn’t any bigger.
Tazz:
Oh indeed Cole because Matt Hardy gets his first one on one United States title match against Mr. Kennedy and then of course the I Quit Match!
Michael Cole:
That’s right as Edge meets Kurt Angle with the World Heavyweight title on the line as the first person to have to say I Quit will lose!
Tazz:
But there is no doubt that the biggest match of the night has to be the Royal Rumble match and that is why we are all here!
Michael Cole:
Thirty men all enter but one will leave the winner. Will we have a shock winner like last year in Rob Van Dam? Anything is possible in this melee.
Tazz:
This has to be one of my favorite pay-per-views Cole because anything can happen in that Royal Rumble match and we only see it once a year!
Michael Cole:
And we’re going to go ahead and kick the night off with the United States title being defended here tonight.
Turn Up the Treble hits across the arena as the doors swing wide open for the United States Champion Mr. Kennedy to make his way down the ramp. Kennedy unhooks the title off of his shoulder as he slides into the ring and holds his hand in the air as he looks to the heavens. The mic drops from above as Kennedy grasps at it and the fans suddenly hush with a few Kennedy sucks chants being thrown out.
Mr. Kennedy:
It is my honor and privilege to be the first person that you see here tonight at the Royal Rumble! Tonight I will make history as I will retain my United States Championship and then I will walk out the winner of the Royal Rumble as well. But first off the following contest is scheduled for one fall…
The fans boo Kennedy as he looks around the arena.
Mr. Kennedy:
Introducing first he is the United States Champion weighing in at a slick and slender 245 pounds, I hail from Green Bay, Wisconsinnnnnnnnnnnn!!!
Kennedy makes his way to the turnbuckle as he holds his title in the air.
Mr. Kennedy:
Misterrrrrrrrrrrrrrr Kennedyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyy!!!
Kennedy holds the title up even higher.
Mr. Kennedy:

Kennedy jumps down off of the turnbuckles as he hands his title over. Live for the Moment hits at this time as out comes the challenger. Hardy plays to the fans throwing up the V1 symbol as he slaps a few hands with the fans. Hardy gets into the ring and climbs the turnbuckle playing to the fans before he jumps back down.
Tony Chimmel:
And the challenger from Cameron, North Carolina weighing in at 225 pounds, Matt Hardy!!!

Michael Cole:
Matt Hardy has done it Tazz. He has finally won the United States Championship and this has to be his biggest title victory yet!
Tazz:
I think he might cherish those tag title runs with his brother but there is no way that they can top this title win tonight!
Michael Cole:
Hardy goes from being the hunter to the hunted as you can bank on it that many superstars on Smackdown are now gunning for his title.
Tazz:
Once again congratulations to Matt Hardy before becoming the new champion and it’s a great win for him over the former champion Mr. Kennedy.
We head backstage to see Cryme Tyme walking down the hallway. JTG and Shad both share a quick handshake with one another before they stop in front of a door. They open the door and walk in to see Raw GM Jonathan Coachman, Smackdown GM JBL, Torrie Wilson and Candice Michelle from Raw and then Ashley Massaro from Smackdown all backstage with the tumblers to draw numbers.
Shad:
J look!
Shad points to JTG to show that they are all leaving the room. Both JBL and Coach walk down the hallways discussing something as the divas walk and head out to their locker room.
JTG:
They must be on a break!
Shad:
Look there’s all those balls in there. If we get two of them we’ll be in the Royal Rumble match!
JTG:
CHYEAH BOY!
JTG and Shad slowly creep their way into the room. They both peek in front of the door as they slowly walk in and reach in to grab a ball. JTG goes to open it to see what number he has and it’s number one!
JTG:
Da’yum! Ma’yne!
Shad:
Keep diggin’
JTG reaches in once more and pulls out 14. He throws it back in and then finds the lucky number 30! JTG goes to place it in his pocket but he hears someone.
Voice:
Ahem!
Cryme Tyme freezes in their tracks. They both slowly turn around and notice that it is the CEO of the board Mr. McMahon! JTG and Shad both look at one another and then both drop the ball back into the tumbler.
Mr. McMahon:
May I help you gentlemen?
Cryme Tyme tries to come up with something but they can’t. They can’t think of any off the wall things to say but suddenly an idea hits JTG out of nowhere.
JTG:
Um yes (unsure of what to say) we were here to um count each and every one of them to make sure they were all there. Right Shad?
The crowd pops as Mr. McMahon tries to keep a straight face.
Shad:
Yeah that’s it. It looks like they are all fine and ok. Some of our homeboys told us that we needed to come by and count them so we did.
Mr. McMahon gives them both a blank stare.
Mr. McMahon:
Do you two actually think that I believe that?
JTG:
Um we…
Shad:
Sure?
JTG and Shad both share a look and then bust out laughing.
Mr. McMahon:
Listen I’m not here tonight to play these dumb little games. So both of you are dismissed. Just don’t be coming back in here and messing with stuff. I’ve already got enough stuff on my mind tonight. I don’t need some people like you trying to sneak your way into the Royal Rumble match just because you didn’t get in it.
JTG:
CHYEAH!
JTG and Shad both walk over and take off their gold and put it around Mr. McMahon’s neck. Mr. McMahon looks at Shad and JTG and Cryme Tyme tries to get him to smile but he really doesn’t want to apparently. Cryme Tyme leaves as the camera follows them out the door.
Shad:
What’s wrong with homeboy Vince?
JTG:
No tellin’ Shad. You don’t think Linda isn’t well…
Shad:
Nah she’s gotta’ be givin’ him what he wants!
JTG and Shad share a laugh as they walk out and head towards the backstage area as we now head back down to ringside.

Here are your winners and the NEW World Tag Team Champions…Shelton Benjamin and Elijah Burke!
Match Length: 9 Minutes, 54 Seconds
The ref receives the titles from ringside as he awards them to Burke as Burke comes back from the outside after helping Benjamin back up. Burke and Benjamin both hold their newly won titles high in the air as Haas rolls Flair out of the ring. Flair keeps on repeatedly saying that he’s sorry and Haas tells him its ok. Haas and Flair both make their way out of the arena together as they leave the new tag champs in the ring to celebrate their win.
Jim Ross:
Tough break there for the tag team champions tonight and it seems that Flair is really sorry for the loss.
Jerry Lawler:
Flair and Haas were oh so close to retaining their titles but they weren’t able to tonight and we’ve got our first new tag champions of the new year!
Jim Ross:
I have no doubt in my mind that Shelton Benjamin and Elijah Burke will make two great champions as they are young up comers.
We head backstage to see that Randy Orton is standing by with Todd Grisham.
Todd Grisham:
Randy in just a few moments you are going to be going one on one with Rob Van Dam for your WWE Championship. Just last week you attacked Mick Foley RKO’ing him on the chair sending a message to RVD. So ton…
Randy Orton:
Todd it was a message. You are right about that one. But tonight I’m going to do more than “send a message” to Rob Van Dam. I’m going to literally kick his ass off of Raw and send him to ECW where he belongs with those other crazy untalented old pieces of shit called the ECW Originals. I’ve proven that I can hang with them because didn’t I just take out Mick Foley like you said this past week. It’s the THIRD time that Mick Foley has tried to mess with me and failed once again in a hardcore environment.
Todd Grisham:
A big part of your match tonight is that the ECW originals won’t be allowed at ringside since you were able to talk to Raw GM Jonathan Coachman about this.
Randy Orton:
I shouldn’t have to deal with them because I’ve already proven just what I can do to them. I’ve shown that one simple RKO can go a long way. To be honest I have no clue why Rob Van Dam is even going to wrestle tonight because he knows that he is going to get his ass beat. Todd I don’t need to hop around the ring like a moron to win matches. I do just what it takes and it’s very simple for what it takes to win. R…K…O!
Todd Grisham:
Rumor has it going around that the Originals have bought tickets and that they will be here for the match? Does this concern you?
Randy Orton:
Why should I be concerned about those idiots? If they even try to get involved they are going to end up arrested. You know I thought I could trust Paul Heyman but he used me. Heyman used me so he could get ECW back but tonight I’m going to tear apart one of his first big projects in RVD. I’m going to expose ECW for what it really is tonight and ruin the so-called “dream” that they all have. I’m going to show that ECW coming back really isn’t a dream but more of a nightmare for every single person on that roster.
Orton walks off as the camera cuts to ringside to reveal that the ECW originals along with Paul Heyman have bought seats to sit at ringside. In come Sandman, Tommy Dreamer, Balls Mahoney, Al Snow and Stevie Richards as they all sit down. We head back over to ringside to the Raw commentating team.
Jim Ross:
Business has just picked up King because now the ECW originals are here and it’s all thanks to those tickets they have in their hands!
Jerry Lawler:
This is not right JR! They should not be here because Jonathan Coachman barred them from appearing tonight.
Jim Ross:
They have every right King. They paid money for their tickets and they are not “wrestlers” right now but they are just “fans”
Jerry Lawler:
I still don’t think it’s right JR but regardless they are here and now let’s take a long look back at the feud between RVD and Randy Orton.

Match #3
WWE Championship
Randy Orton (c) vs. Rob Van Dam
The bell is rung and the match is now underway. Orton and RVD both circle one another as an ECW chant breaks out at this time. The ECW originals at ringside are the main ones stirring up this chant to try and get behind RVD during the match. RVD does the thumb taunt to E-C-W instead of saying his name. Orton then heads to the middle as both men lock up as Orton uses his power to force RVD down onto the mat. Orton still has the hands locked in on RVD as RVD is down on his knees in the ring. RVD starts to fight his way back onto his feet but Orton quickly responds with a kick to the sternum knocking the challenger right back down onto the mat.
Orton taunts Van Dam as he is down on the mat now as Orton kicks RVD in the stomach. Orton picks Van Dam up before dropping RVD back onto the mat with a scoop power slam. Orton then looks back down at RVD and bounces off the ropes before slowly dropping a knee right onto the throat of RVD. Orton looks down at Van Dam as Van Dam grabs at his throat as Orton proceeds to step on the throat of RVD. The ref has to come over and break it up, as Orton won’t take his foot off the throat of RVD. The ref talks Orton into stopping as Orton steps back and then drops another knee onto the throat of Van Dam.
The WWE Champion picks his challenger back up before he backs RVD into the corner. Orton hits RVD with a big European Uppercut before he reaches back and slaps the chest of RVD as hard as he can. Orton then turns around and sends Van Dam flying into the turnbuckles. RVD hits the turnbuckles back first rather hard. RVD is still in the corner as Orton charges into the corner and hits a big corner clothesline sending RVD reeling out of the corner. Orton backs up and grabs Van Dam as he comes out of the corner to connect with a big Vertical Suplex dropping RVD right in the middle of the ring. The WWE champion throws Van Dam over and makes the first cover of the match.

Orton picks Van Dam up off the mat and knocks him right back down with a right. Orton looks right at the forehead of RVD and then punches RVD in the forehead many a time as RVD falls down onto the mat. Van Dam has yet to hit a move in the match, as it has been all Orton in the first few minutes of the match. Randy Orton looks at RVD down on the mat as he walks over and locks in a Chinlock.
Orton is wrenching away at the neck of Van Dam trying to get the ECW original to submit early on in the match so he can retain the title tonight from the get go. Orton watches RVD start to use the crowd to his advantage as they all start big RVD chants. RVD suddenly starts striking Orton in the stomach with some big elbows before Van Dam gets back onto his feet. RVD flips Orton over with a snapmare before he springs off the ropes and dropkicks Orton right in the back of the head. Orton falls onto the mat grabbing at his head as RVD is still on the mat but crawling towards the ropes.
RVD looks around the arena as he gets Orton back onto his feet. RVD finishes off Orton with a roundhouse kick after a few rights are thrown. RVD then proceeds to thrust Orton into the turnbuckles in the corner. RVD hits two more turnbuckle thrusts before he does a back handspring and finishes it off with the third and final of the turnbuckle thrusts. RVD comes out of the corner as he watches Orton fall down onto the mat on his knees. RVD then runs into the corner and dropkicks Orton head first into the middle turnbuckle! The fans go wild as RVD stands up in the middle of the ring and does the R-V-D thumb taunt to a nice pop.
Van Dam walks over picking the WWE champion back up but Orton was able to surprise RVD with a few rights to the stomach. RVD yells out in pain as Orton is still down on his knees but is able to slowly start to wear RVD down with the rights to the sternum. RVD backed up but Orton tripped RVD up face first before sending him into the turnbuckle face first. Orton gets help from the ropes to pull him up before he grabs RVD and picks him back up. Orton ends up Irish whipping RVD off into the ropes as RVD comes back right into a picture perfect dropkick from Orton! Orton throws Van Dam over before hooking the leg.

Orton tries to wonder what he is going to have to do to try and wear down RVD. RVD is not going to give it up though and it continues to show after he just kicked out. RVD looks around the arena and does the thumb taunt once more but this time to E-C-W! Van Dam once again decides not to cover as he goes and locks in a headlock on Orton.
RVD doesn’t keep the headlock on Orton too long, as Orton was able to get back onto his feet and shove RVD off into the corner. Orton looked at Van Dam in the corner as Orton charges into the corner. One… Orton slides back into the ring to break the count. The ref tells him not to leave the ring again but he does anyways as he rolls Van Dam right back into the ring. Right where RVD landed happened to be of course in front of the ECW originals! The ECW originals get a bit rowdy at ringside as one of them decides to say something to Orton! It was Sandman! Orton reaches back and slaps Sandman right across the face as Sandman looks ready to jump the barricade but the Originals hold him back knowing he would get in big trouble if he jumps the barricade.
Orton rolls back into the ring and looks at Van Dam on the mat. RVD is lying in the ring right now as Orton drops a knee onto his throat once more to continue the damage being built up on RVD’s body during the match. NO! It’s not enough because RVD gets his foot under the rope meaning that the ref must stop the count. Orton almost gets into an argument with the ref and he does so. Orton says that RVD didn’t get his foot on the ropes or anything but the ref points it out that RVD did get his foot underneath the ropes. Orton grabs his head not being able to believe that Van Dam was able to do that. Orton turns around to walk towards RVD but RVD trips up Orton face first into the mat. RVD can’t really do much otherwise as he is selling the kick to the head right now.
The fans start to rally behind RVD as the ref sees both men are down and he must start counting them out.

Orton preys on Van Dam as he has done all match long. Orton pounces on the mat with his fists daring Van Dam to get back up as Van Dam slowly starts to stir and I mean slowly. RVD gets back up onto his knees as Orton grabs him trying for the RKO but RVD throws Orton off of him as Orton lands on his back in the ring! Orton pulls himself towards the corner, as RVD stays on his knees in the ring for a bit. Orton walks over into the corner as he might be waiting to punt Van Dam in the head again?
Orton starts to pull the turnbuckle padding off as he slowly unties the back of it and throws it down onto the ground. The ref walks over and goes to place the turnbuckle back where it was but in the ring standing behind Orton is the Sandman! Orton turns around as Sandman is wielding the Singapore Cane as he swings and misses Orton but connects square on with Van Dam! Sandman looks pissed that he missed as Orton spins Sandman around and drops him with a thunderous RKO in the ring. Orton throws the Singapore cane to the outside. The ref turns around as he heard the sound but had no clue what it was. The Singapore cane of course was out of sight so he didn’t see anything and he must go by what is happening now.
Orton teases Van Dam to get back up once again as Orton watches RVD slowly pull himself back onto his feet after having been hit by the Singapore Cane shot from Sandman. RVD turns around right into the RKO courtesy of the Legend Killer and the WWE Champion Randy Orton! Orton falls down on top of Van Dam as he is able to hook one leg and the ref has no choice but to count the pin fall despite him not knowing what happened just a few moments ago.

Thanks. You remember that little deal we made a few weeks ago on Smackdown?

Randy Orton:
Well we did say that we were both going to head into WrestleMania as the champions. I’ve done my part…you need to do yours now.
Edge looks at Randy hesitantly.
Edge:
Randy there is nothing to worry about on that. I’ve got everything under control and there is no way in hell that Angle walks out of here tonight with my title.
Orton shakes his head in agreeance.
Randy Orton:
That’s good Edge. That’s what I want to hear. I had to go through hell to win my match so I’m expecting you to do the same thing. After all it’s just Kurt Angle! He’s got nothing on you.
Edge shakes his head in agreeance now as he smiles.
Randy Orton:
Just keep your part of the deal and then I can promise that I’ll keep my other half when we get to WrestleMania.
Edge:
Don’t worry Randy I won’t let Rated RKO down.
Randy Orton:
That’s right.
