Congrats on the Mod spot.
This is three reviews at once, KOP, so bear with me. I'm a tad behind

The Cutting Edge is always a surefire way to kick off a show, and this particular edition with Angle as the guest was very interesting. I have absolutely no complaints with the characterisation, as in these kinds of situations all Edge generally does is say how
"unintimidated" he is, and Angle basically rants about how he is
"gonna' snap your damn ankle". There was plenty of that in here, which certainly helped it seem intense and personal. In my opinion, despite the fact that this match has been made into an "I Quit" Match, this feud has not been anywhere near as personal as it should be for a rivalry that has really been going on and off since Judgement Day of last year. Saying that, the Suplex through the table last week during the contract signing and tonight's Cutting Edge have definately upped the ante. BURCHILL~!!! Excellent, really excellent choice to re-invent his character like this. The Ripper/hooligan gimmick he uses is the one that will get him places, not the comedic pirate one. I have been wondering where he has been for a while, so it's good to see him back. I think his inclusion actually tips the scales, so that I would name the Angle/Edge feud now my favourite one in this thread leading into the Royal Rumble.
Matt Hardy is really picking up a hell of a lot of momentum lately. Obviously it's to set up Kennedy retaining come Sunday, but even so, it's great to see Matt winning on a constant basis. Hopefully this sets a precedent for the rest of the year. As for Chavo ... stop jobbing him out plz. The man is severely underrated and awesome.
Well I haven't been into this "Ladies Man" thing at all with Kenny, and this segment with Ashley did nothing for me. It came off as very bland and generic. Now I don't actually mind Dykstra on the mic; I think he's decent, but I think if you really want to push him you should have paired him off with a woman who actually has charisma. Ashley is blander than stale bread. I know you mark for Kenny though (I guess I do too

), so I look forward to seeing where this push goes.
Great hype to the Cruiserweight Championship match with the video package. At least you are giving the division some much needed attention. Good match between London and Noble as well, and it was a given really that Noble was going to retain. His reign with the belt has been pretty much flawless for a year. The only other guy who I would like to see with the belt is Kid Kash

As for the two guys who screwed London; it's so obvious they're Deuce and Domino I don't even need to say anything.
Lol @ Deuce and Domino. They're awesome on the mic to be honest. One thing though, when you're typing
"OOOOOH", it sounds a bit camp. I know the sound you are going for, but maybe it would be better writing it as "OH~!!!". Up to you though.
Nice little backstage segmeny from JBL and Edge. Burchill taking on Angle next week should be a treat if it is indeed a proper match, as Burchill is phenomenal in the ring. I just hope Ripper doesn't do the job and gets DQed or something. Angle as a nut is awesome, and so is angry JBL. Interesting about the 'Last Chance' stipulation to the match. Looks like Edge will have a different challenger come No Way Out then, but who could it be?
Wow, ECW really will be a roster full of jobbers, eh, KOP?

Anyway, I though Big Dave had qualified before tonight but obviously not. I can see him setting up his feud come the Rumble match. He better not win though.
Pretty bland interview from Rey Rey. Just the usual schtick he always gives about being the underdog. He doesn't stand a chance in the Rumble, but given then 'shock factor' you promised, I guess you never know.
Your WrestleMania tagline still sucks tbh
NOOOO~!!! Regal and Taylor have now become jobbers? I'm gutted. They were an awesome tag team. Oh well, at least CM Punk is being pushed. Anaconda Vise > Go 2 Sleep all the way.
If you give Mark Henry a quality manager I will be all in favour of this push he seems to be in the middle of. Decent promo from him though. He is always very interesting on the mic I find. I can see him, Umaga and Batista being the three monsters who completely dominate the Rumble match.
"retarted" really, Tazz? Anyway, pretty lackluster Main Event in all honesty. You could have gone with a six man tag or something. Both Kane and Henry have really done nothing of late, and are not Main Event level anymore. Regardless, stills surprising to see Kane go over so easily.

This really has felt quite similar to the Hardy/Orton feud of late due to the way that Randy has been completely dominated in the lead up to their Rumble encounter. I'm not all too keen on Heyman and ECW having to do all of Van Dam's talking for him, but I'll admite, Paul E. does make every segment he's in considerably more interesting. With ECW banned from ringside on Sunday at least we will get a nice clean match. However, is that person who Orton keeps speaking to on the phone still a storyline? You haven't mentioned it recently. Wow, huge Main Event for tonight with RVD/Foley versus Orton/??? in an Extreme Rules Match. Maybe too big? Seems like a PPV calibre match to me though. Umaga for Orton's partner plz.
Gregory Helms jobbing to Sabu = absolutely no ratings whatsoever. Helms is an awesome young wrestler, and Sabu is an over-the-hill spot monkey. I'm apalled, sir
Ah, another superstar just declaring how is going to win the match. I know Cena is so good on the mic he would make this fun, but even he can't distract me from the fact that there have been far too many of these.
MNM being in the Rumble match is a neat way of disguising the fact that they have now become glorified jobbers in the tag team division. Such a shame. Might as well split them up if that is the case. Haas and Flair get the win to give them some momentum, but Burke and Benjamin still come out looking the stronger. I still hope we get a title change though. Also, B&B need a team name.
Jericho being a bitch to the fans really is a disappointment. There were much better way you could have turned him back into a face. Palumbo blindsides him? Wow, those two really are through. I hope Chuck gets into the Rumble match, as he and Y2J need to beat the crap out of each other in that match.
Wow, Foley hasn't made an appearance since WrestleMania 22? That certainly is unrealistic for you, KOP. Ha ha, it might be a good return for him, as RVD needs some momentum heading into the Rumble, but it could also be a bad return, as he may take the pin fall.
Ugh, I think I hate you sometimes, KOP, you keep jobbing out all of my favourites like Helms and now Carlito

At least Jeff Hardy is the Intercontinental Champion, which makes it bearable I suppose. Still, if you want to surprise me with the RR winner it had better be good.
Oh yeah, Umaga is Orton's partner~!! 'Mags is still undefeated right? Once who start posting shows in full again I can't wait for Estrada to get on the mic more.
Oh no, not another Rumble hype. This time from HUN-TOR. More of the same as Cena really. You have alot of star power in this match to be honest, but I honestly hope no one too big wins it.
Well at least Shawn Michaels' Rumble hype was done in a more interesting fashion. Masters has been a jobber in this thread since he dropped the Intercontinental Championship last year, so the result was never in doubt. As for HBK's words on the mic afterwards, he is one of the many superstars who I really hope do not win the Rumble. Someone young and fresh plz.
Nice little promo from RVD and Foley. Foley intense ECW mode is always good. The Main Event sounded wild as well. It was wierd to see Van Dam get taken out of the equation so soon, but Foley held his own really well, actually getting 'Maga to go through a table, before Orton RKO's him on a chair for the win. I'm quite surprised that Randy picked up the win tonight, as he will almost certainly be retaining this Sunday (I hope

). Still, this could be played off as a bit of an injury to Van Dam before the big one, thus helping Orton win. You never know.

An Over-The-Tope-Rope Battle Royal tonight? I remember this happening in real life. I think they had guys like Kane, Miz, Benoit etc. but Undertaker interfered and killed everyone. So long as you don't do that I'll be happy. Finlay for the win plz.
Ugh, Regal and Taylor really are jobbers now I guess with Regal taking his turn to lose to CM Punk this week. Hopefully Punk's push starts to get big following the Rumble and heading into WrestleMania.
Well I wonder how many Rumble hypes we will get tonight? Here's one already from Big Dave Batista. I'll give you a bit more credit, since this was about the Battle Royal tonight as well. Still, I hope we don't get any more of these.
Yay, Deuce and Domino's push begins. They're likely to be shoved into a feud with The Hooligans fairly quickly, since you don't really have any other tag teams right now.

@ MizTV. It's so cheesy I almost like it. Almost. Matt Hardy and Mr. Kennedy's feud is getting some really nice attention in the lead up to their match. This is another nice segment from the two of them, with Kennedy mentioning the fact that they have been feuding since No Way Out last year. That really is quite impressive, to have two guys go at it one and off for almost a year and it not get boring. The brawl at the end was fairly equal in the end, but the whole build to this feud has me assuming that Kennedy will retain. Both men should put in great performances in the Rumble though. They deserve it.
I love the pairing of Edge and Paul Burchill already. They seem a little bit like Jericho and Chuck Palumbo
used to be on Raw. Hopefully Burchill doesn't get jobbed out tonight.
Wierd business between Kenny and Ashley. Why would she accompany him to the ring if they aren't dating? Anyway, solid win for Dykstra over Jimmy Wany Yang, although I;m still waiting for this "Ladies Man" gimmick to really grab my attention.
Ah the unholy Cruiserweight alliance of Jamie Noble and Kid Kash. They are two of the best things on the roster if you ask me. I'm glad London and Kendrick are being kicked out of the CW division, as it kind of takes away from the Tag Team titles. Oh boy, Deuce and Domino are already proving how great they are in this thread. Champions plz.
Oh come on, how could you eliminate Finlay first?

Why do people not mark for Irishman as much as me? Kane going out early is fine, as is Mysterio (awesome powerbomb over the top). Batista kills Henry to win the match and is rolling into the Rumble. I can definately see 'Tista doing a Rikishi, a Diesel or a Kane and just completely dominating the match until he gets eliminated. Should be good to see.
Woah, woah, woah, less of the anti-English tripe, KOP. I consider myself British but it still hurts. Me and DC may have to whoop your ass

Anyway, solid promo from Angle (who I now hope loses because of his racist ways). I still don't know how he is going to say "I Quit". It's not in his character, and
certainly not in his face character. He should sustain an injury beforehand or something.
Good Main Event between Angle and Burchill. I think we have finally seen the way Edge will be getting Angle to quit on Sunday. Burchill completely tore the shit out of Angle's shoulder and arm, during and even after the match, and you highlighted it so much that I think this is the way Edge will win. I'm glad Burchill didn't job, as he is far too good at this point for that. Like with Orton ending Raw on top, I'm surpised by Edge's dominace here. I expected him to retain at the Rumble, and I guess I still do. It's just that it seems a little odd for both heel Champions to go into the PPV looking strong and then both win. I hope they both do though.
Overall these were three solid shows, KOP. As you probably know, I find the endless Rumble hype from certain superstars very dull, but at least that will be ending now. I have my problems with a couple of results. Ha ha
Just ignore me. Still, the Orton/RVD, Edge/Angle and Hardy/Kennedy feuds have all had awesome build of late and really have me looking forward to the Rumble this Sunday, as it should be a great PPV. Best of luck
