Re: PWG

Hey man. This looks like a cool project. You have an immense roster at your disposal and hopefully you can make the most of it.

You said it's your first time doing something like this, the biggest piece of advice I have is to keep going with it and have fun. All the best man, I'll be reading.

Pro Wrestling Guerrilla Purchased by Goliath Sports LLC.

For Immediate Release

The Los Angeles based professional wrestling organization Pro Wrestling Guerrilla has been sold to the American sports promotion company Goliath Sports LLC. The sale will be effective at the beginning of the year.

Former owner Excalibur has stayed on as a minority owner and as a liaison to the board of directors on behalf of the wrestlers.

“I see this sale as a way to grown the company and make it grown to heights I never dreamed were possible,” Excalibur said. “I’m glad that I am staying on board in some capacity and am excited to be along for the ride.”

Goliath Sports LLC. Is headed by its president Paul Heyman and a nine-member board of directors. Several of the more prominent board members include Frank Ramirez, a billionaire media mogul from Mexico, and Phil Knight, the founder of Nike.

Paul Heyman said in a press conference held earlier this week to announce the sale that this will not be a rehash of ECW, but will be a fresh, contemporary wrestling promotion with talent from all around the world.

“Our goal is to be unique and to give the fans something new,” Heyman said. “ECW and everything else I’ve been involved with is in the past. PWG is where my heart is now.”

Heyman also announced at the press conference that PWG has formed a partnership with international wrestling promotions Lucha Libra AAA and New Japan Pro Wrestling. PWG has also surveyed the current independent wrestling scene in the United States for the best talent available.

“Yup, we’ve signed some guys, but you’re going to have to watch the shows to find out who those guys are.” Heyman said. “All I ask is that the fans give us six weeks, and if you’re not convinced that we are giving you a great product then feel free to change the channel back to the USA Network. But we will give you our heart and every bit of ourselves to make this product all it can be.”
