WWF Monday Night Raw
January 2, 1995

The Raw video package plays as the announcers Vince McMahon and The Heartbreak Kid Shawn Michaels welcome us to the very first edition of Monday Night Raw for 1995. Vince McMahon wishes everyone a Happy New Year. Vince and Michaels plug the matches for tonight. We will see the modern day kamikaze Hakushi against Duke Drose. Plus we will see King Kong Bundy in action. Later on in the King's Court, we will see Bret 'The Hitman' Hart. Lex Luger will also be seen in action tonight. What a way to kick off 1995 as we begin with the trash man.

Duke Drose vs Hakushi. This was a great back and forth battle to kick off Raw in 1995. Finish sees Drose block a right hand and deliver an atomic drop and Hakushi goes into the ropes and Drose follows up with a clothesline. Drose tries bringing Hakushi back in for a suplex from the apron but Shinja grabs the leg of Drose so that Hakushi falls on top of Drose. Shinja hangs onto Drose's leg so he can't kick out and Hakushi gets the 3 count. Winner @ 10:00 Hakushi. The crowd is stunned as the ref didn't see Shinja's actions from outside. Shawn mentions how smart of a move that was and puts over Hakushi in the Royal Rumble.

A promo for the Royal Rumble is aired and Baywatch's Pamela Anderson will be there at the Rumble. She's going to escort the winner of the Rumble down the aisle at WrestleMania XI.

Lex Luger vs Buck Quartermaine. A very impressive win for Luger. Winner @ 1:42 Lex Luger.

Jeff Jarrett calls in. Jarrett talks about how he is in the studio right now finishing up his album. Jarrett says his first year in the WWF is complete and he was the hottest thing in the WWF, and it'll continue in 1995. He says he will debut his first single next week live on Raw.

Well Dunn vs Mike Bell & Scott Taylor. Winners @ 1:40 Well Dunn.

A Royal Rumble Report plays as Todd Pettengill promotes the Royal Rumble. Todd runs down the card which will see the following matches: Bigelow/Bundy/IRS vs Luger/Headshrinkers, New Hart Foundation defending tag gold against Adam Bomb and Mabel, Backlund vs Bret in a I Quit match. Ramon/Undertaker vs Yokozuna/Crush. Todd then promotes the Royal Rumble Match. Baywatch's Pamela Anderson will be making an appearance at the The Royal Rumble. She will be escorting the winner of the Rumble down the aisle at WrestleMania XI. Superstars enter every 90 seconds Todd then goes over the list of some of the participants announced for the Royal Rumble Match. Bulldog, Ramon, Hakushi, Tatanka, IRS, Jarrett, Bigelow, Diesel, Kid, Lawler, Plugg, and Lex Luger. We hear pre-recorded comments from Bam Bam Bigelow. Bigelow says he is the crown jewel of the Corporation. He says at the Royal Rumble he will make a statement.

King Kong Bundy vs Chris Avery. Winner @ 1:03 King Kong Bundy. After the match Bundy vowed to destroy Luger at the Royal Rumble.

The King's Court with special guest Bret Hart. The King's Court is set up as Jerry Lawler opens the segment by insulting the fans. Lawler hurls a bunch of insults at Bret Hart's family. The crowd chants "We want Bret." Lawler finally introduces Bret Hart and Bret comes out to a huge ovation. Lawler says he is not going to let Bret insult him this week. Lawler notes that the first time Bret appeared on the King's Court, Bret broke a no altercation contract and it cost him a lot of money. Lawler doesn't want to see any of that again because this is The King's Court and he calls the shots around here. Lawler talks about Backlund taking Bret out after the Survivor Series match. Lawler laughs and calls Bret a coward for not showing his face in the WWF since Survivor Series. Bret takes the mic off Lawler and reminds Lawler that everyone knows that Lawler is the one that's a coward, he's the one that asked for a no altercation contract. Lawler got a beating he deserved. Bret tells the King if he keeps on running his big mouth and keep on getting on his nerves, Bret promises Lawler that he'll shut his mouth once and for all. Lawler tells Bret to calm down and he changes the subject and asks Bret about not being WWF Champion in over a year. Bret begins to speak about how he doesn't care about that he cares about what his brother has set out to do to him. Bret says he has been home healing his injurys and Owen stull hasn't talked to Bret. He promised his fans he'd be back by the new year and now he's ready for the Royal Rumble. Bret is willing to put up his Royal Rumble spot against Backlund just to hear Backlund quit. Lawler cuts Bret off and puts over that Bret was voted as wrestler of the year again by the fans and gets the coveted number 30 position. Lawler calls Bret a fool. Shawn Michaels on commentary runs down how Bret just wants to please the fans and that's why Bret will never be WWF Champion again. Lawler makes another remark about Bret's mother, he tells Bret to bring her along at the Rumble so she can cry when Bret gets his arm broke by Mr. Backlund. Bret decks Lawler with a right hand and beats the hell out of him until Lawler retreats. Bret taunts Lawler much to the delight of the fans as Bret's music plays.

A video package plays promoting the main event for next week as Adam Bomb takes on Razor Ramon for a Royal Rumble spot. Aldo Montoya and Henry Godwin will also be in action. Vince and Shawn then discuss the 2nd anniversary of Monday Night Raw next week.

Steve King vs Davey Boy Smith. Bulldog with a very easy win. Winner @ 1:30 Davey Boy Smith. After the match crowd is cheering Bulldog as he celebrates the win. Vince tells us to tune in next week for the 2nd anniversary of Monday Night Raw. Vince wishes everyone goodnight as Raw comes to a close.

The show opened with a limo arriving as Pamela Anderson comes out of the limo. Many of the Rumble participants are very excited to see her. Pamela Anderson will be escorting the winner of the Rumble down the aisle at WrestleMania. We then go to an awesome Royal Rumble intro narrated by Vince McMahon as he introduces the participants and matches for Royal Rumble 1995. It’s time for the Royal Rumble. Vince McMahon and Jerry Lawler welcome us to the show. We are at the Sun Dome in Tampa, Florida. They hype up the matches for tonight. Only the Tag titles are on the line tonight. Then the main attraction of the night is The Royal Rumble match. It’s every man for himself and the winner of the Rumble receives a WWF Title Match at WrestleMania XI. Jerry Lawler is so excited for the Rumble and he can’t wait to see Pamela Anderson. We're ready to go for our first match.

Lex Luger & Headshrinkers vs Bam Bam Bigelow & King Kong Bundy & IRS. Headshrinkers are with Captain Lou and Afa. Ted Dibiase accomplices his men. All men except Bundy will be in the Rumble match tonight. Luger and Dibiase have a stare down as Sionne and IRS start things off. IRS shoves Sionne, Sionne shoves IRS back and IRS goes down to the mat. IRS gets up and slaps Sionne in the face. Sionne tries going after IRS but IRS decides to tag in King Kong Bundy. Sionne immediately charges at him and punches away, trying to get him towards the ropes, but Bundy barley budges. Bundy blocks a few punches and headbutts his way out of Sionne's grasp. He chops away and sends Sionne to the ropes and catches him with a belly to belly, and right back up with a leg drop! Bundy kneels down on Sionne's chest with his knee and grabs the ropes for leverage, but the referee makes him break it up. Bundy stalks around before hitting the ropes and landing on top of Sionne with a huge elbow drop. He goes for a cover with a hook of the leg, one, TWO -- kickout. Bundy lifts Sionne up and locks him in a rear headlock into a chinlock. He tries to transition into a bow and arrow, but Sionne's able to break his arms free and roll away! Bundy gets up off his knee and tries to squash Sionne with another big elbow drop, but Sionne rolls out of the way! Sionne stumbles up in the corner, trying to regain his composure, and Bundy tags out. Bigelow is now in and Sionne misses a clothesline. Bigelow applies a reverse chinlock, Sionne gets back to his feet and breaks the hold and Bigelow rakes the eyes. Bigelow came charging and Sionne backdrops him over the top rope as Bigelow lands right on Dibiase. Sionne goes on the offense and applies a chinlock, Bigelow breaks free and delivers a roundhouse kick and gets a 2 count. Bigelow grabs Sionne's legs opens them and kicks Sionne right into the lower abdomen. Bigelow hits an inverted atomic drop and delivers some European uppercuts in the corner. Sionne fights back with some right hands but Bigelow pokes Sionne in the eyes and dropkicks Sionne through the ropes. Bigelow then knocks Sionne back down with a baseball slide dropkick. Bigelow posed while Sionne layed out on the floor. Bigelow distracts the ref and Corporation gets some cheapshots on Sionne. Luger and Fatu get over and save Sionne. Bigelow goes back on the attack on Sionne after Dibiase rolls him in. Bigelow then sends Sionne hard into the corner. Bigelow then connects with an elbow drop off the top rope and gets a 2 count. Northern light suplex and another near fall. Bigelow applies a sleeper hold as Bigelow is trying to wear Sionne down. The crowd gets behind Sionne as he gets back to his feet and breaks the hold with a back suplex. Now both men are down. Both men beginning to get back up and double tag to Fatu and IRS, as they trade punches. Fatu with an Irish whip and follows up with a delayed vertical suplex and gets a near fall. Fatu then hits mounted punches in the corner and IRS counters with an atomic drop. IRS attempts an insiguri, Fatu catches by the leg but IRS nails him with the insiguri with the other leg and gets a near fall. Now can IRS tags back out to Bundy. Bundy wants Luger. Bundy picks up Fatu and throws him at Luger who tags in and pounces on Bundy and hammers away. Luger chops, punches and kicks away as much as he can. He kicks him borderline below the belt and bends him down and he's gonna try for a slam. HE TRIES -- HE TRIIIIES -- NO, Bundy falls on top! He rushes towards the ropes and grabs on for dear life as Luger tries to roll him up from behind, but Bundy holds onto the ropes and he goes to sit down but Luger moves! Luger gets up to a knee as Bundy pops up holding his ass in pain and Luger chops Bundy violently into the corner! He chops Bundy EXTREMELY hard 5, 6, 7 times in a row and Bundy's planted back firmly. Luger rushes across the ring to the other corner and goes to charge -- but he's stuck! Dibiase's holding onto his leg fro the outside! Luger tries fighting him off but before he can, Bundy runs from the other corner and nails a splash! Luger stumbles out and Bundy catches him with a belly to belly suplex! Headshrinkers dive in to go after him but, IRS and Bigelow are in! Fatu and IRS go over the top from a Fatu diving splash, while Bigelow tosses Sionne out and goes after him. Bundy with a Avalanche and he hooks the leg for the three. Winners @ 15:12 Million Dollar Corporation. Jerry Lawler puts over how great the Corporation looks as a unit. Corporation celebrates and taunts Luger.

Backstage, Todd Pettingill drools all over Pamela Anderson and she shows off all the presents the WWF wrestlers got her.

Bret decides not to suplex Billy but ends up placing Billy on the top rope and clotheslines BILLY GUNN out and the crowd goes nuts. Billy is furious and he has to leave, Billy throwing a tantrum outside the ring. We are now down to the final 4. Lawler again changes his prediction and picks Undertaker and Vince tells him to make up his mind. We have Diesel and Undertaker in one corner and Razor and Bret in the other corner. Razor whispers in Taker’s ear talking strategy as Diesel and Razor go at it in one corner and Taker and Bret battled in the other corner. Taker connects with a backbody drop out of a corner irish whip and follows it up with a press slam and a clothesline. Diesel ducks a punch from Bret and hits a back suplex. Razor turns around and Taker hits Razor with a clothesline. Taker then hits a vertical suplex on Razor. Looks like this is going to be the end for Razor. Taker then delivers a press slam and almost eliminates Razor. Razor starts stumbling around and he’s on the ropes. Taker then clotheslines Razor over the top rope. Taker thinks he’s got rid of Razor and goes after Bret who is now beating down Diesel. Razor is hanging in there desperately. Razor manages to get back in and fallaway slam to Undertaker. Diesel with a right hand on Ramon. Diesel throws Undertaker to the floor and eliminates UNDERTAKER. The crowd is not pleased to see Undertaker being eliminated and Diesel is pleased to see Undertaker being eliminated from The Rumble.

Razor and Bret then work out a deal to help eliminate Diesel. They double-team Diesel as the crowd rally behind him. Diesel is very fatigued. Bret holds Diesel as Razor comes off the ropes going for a right hand but miscommunication ensues as Diesel moves at the last second and Razor accidently hits Bret sending Bret to the apron. Diesel hits Razor with some right hands and then throws Razor into the ropes and Razor bounces off the ropes where Bret is at, but Bret getting back up to his feet pulls the ropes down and RAZOR RAMON goes flying over the top rope to the floor. Bret was trying to get in the ring but he pulled the rope down which eliminated Razor. Bret is back in and now we are down to the final 2. Diesel who was nnumber 18 and Bret Hart who was number 30 are the final 2. Pamela Anderson is clapping. Only one of these men will be going to WrestleMania and will face Yokozuna. Diesel and Bret exchange lefts and rights until Bret rakes Diesel's eyes. Bret comes off the ropes and Diesel catches him and drops him with a sidewalk slam. Diesel goes for the Jackknife but Bret slips out and blasts Diesel with a swining neckbreaker. Now all Bret has to do is throw Diesel out but Bret taunts Diesel and tries mocking him by going for The Jackknife. Oh no not this way, Bret is going to throw Diesel over the top rope by doing Diesel's own move on him. What an insult this would be for big daddy cool. Bret blows a kiss to Pamela Anderson and said this victory is for her. Bret goes for the Jackknife but Diesel counters and backdrops Bret to the floor to ELIMINATE BRET HART and Diesel wins the Rumble @ 57:54. DIESEL HAS WON THE ROYAL RUMBLE. The crowd is going nuts, what an ovation for Diesel.

Diesel's music hits as he celebrates in the ring and now he’s joined there in the ring by Pamela Anderson. She will be leading Big Daddy Cool to the ring at WrestleMania. Pyro shoots in the sky as Diesel is standing on the turnbuckle celebrating. Jerry Lawler is irate and the crowd is going nuts here for Diesel. Now he has a huge opportunity of becoming the WWF Champion. Diesel will be going on to WrestleMania to face Yokozuna for the gold. Vince calls this one of the greatest Royal Rumble matches ever. History has been made tonight with Diesel coming out on top as the Royal Rumble winner. Vince thanks the fans for joining us. Diesel did his taunt as the show comes to a close.

While I admire your willingness to try something different, you inherit a major problem by default, that being 1995 was poor! I at 29 years old lived through WWF in 1995, but back then it was awe inspiring. 20 years later and thanks to the WWE network I look back and ask, WTF!!! Still, this is an opportunity to reinvent the past. There were some decent works in 1995, namely HBK, Waltman, Bret, Owen and Taker (if you allow him to be.) Best of luck with the project. Elevate the good works, move away from the childish characters, but refrain from delivering the attitude era 2 years earlier!

WWF Monday Night Raw
January 30, 1995
PALMETTO, FLORIDA

The announcers Vince McMahon and Ted Dibiase welcome us to the show. They plug the matches for tonight. Vince McMahon greets Bam Bam Bigelow, via satellite, from his home in Asbury Park, New Jersey. Vince asks Bigelow about what happened at the Rumble. Bigelow seems extremely annoyed and clearly reading off a teleprompter. He says that he apologizes for his actions at the Royal Rumble and let his anger get the best of him and would be considering seeking treatment at an anger management facility. Suddenly, Bigelow stops and chuckles to himself. He says on second thought, he's not sorry at all. And he knows that Vince, Gorilla, whoever else -- none of them can do a damn thing about it because he's got Mr. DiBiasie in his corner and they'll sue the pants off this place before LT even can. Bigelow says he's not one for lawsuits, he's one for breaking bones and busting up faces, and he says if LT was a real man like he claims he is by being some stupid fake football player, then it's time for him to man up. He says his suspension is up just in time for Wrestlemania, and he'll be there and he challenges, no he dares LT to show up and be a man.

Jacob & Eli Blu (w/ Uncle Zebakiah) vs The Bushwhackers. Blu Brothers look very solid here. Bushwhackers were their fun self mixed with their sheepherder days. Heel miscommunication leads to the Battering Ram and Bushwhackers win. Winners @ 13:32 Bushwhackers. After the match Bushwhackers music hits but Blu's beat the holy hell out of the Whackers. Zeb gets in the ring and joins in on the beating. What a statement Blu's are making as ref's are out to restore order. Finally Men on a Mission come running down and Zeb gets out of dodge. Blu's go right for M.O.M and they block right hands and hammer away on Blus. M.O.M all over Blus as they brawl. Mable is taking out his anger on them. Zeb is able to pull them to safty. Zeb saved his men as they back up the aisle. Oscar starts rapping as they taunt Blu Brothers.

David Sierra vs Henry Godwinn. Godwinn seems like he wanted to prove something here. Winner @ 2:12 Henry Godwinn.

Jerry Lawler has Mr. Bob Backlund as his guest on the King's Court. Jerry Lawler apologizes for the reception Backlund receives, despite having sworn never to apologize again after having to apologize to Duke "The Dumpster" Droese last year. Lawler asks if it's true that Backlund is now refusing to release his chicken wing until his opponent yells, "I quit, Mr. Bob Backlund." "Once I procure the chicken wing," he says, the opponent must say those words. Jerry casually corrects him by saying, "secure" instead of "procure," but makes an exception for himself. Backlund reiterates that no one is exempt from the chicken wingy, "including yours truly." He is referring to Lawler. Backlund then puts the chicken wing on Lawler, who promptly says, "I quit, Mr. Backlund." Backlund releases the hold, but as he walks away, Jerry clarifies that he only wished to quit the interview, not the hold. Backlund then comes back to the ring, leading Lawler to pretend that Bret Hart was coming to the ring, then escape the ring during the momentary distraction.

The announcers Vince McMahon and Ted Dibiase welcome us to the show. They plug the matches for tonight. They talk about Bam Bam Bigelow's botched apology last week via satellite. Episode: 105
Mid Hudson Civic Center
Poughkeepsie, New York
April 3, 1995

A recap of all of the big WrestleMania moments airs to start the show. Vince McMahon and Mr. Perfect welcome us to the New Generation of the WWF and Raw. They unveil the brand new Raw set. A brand new video wall was placed in the center. They then announce that Men on a Mission will still be facing Owen Hart and a partner of his choice.

Vince throws it up to Ted Dibiase who is standing in the ring to start this show off. With Dibiase stands IRS, Kama, Tatanka, Bam Bam Bigelow, and King Kong Bundy. DiBiasie yells at all of them and says last night was supposed to be their night of nights. But it wasn't. DiBiasie notes that they have control of the Urn only because of Kama's quick thinking. DiBiasie says they're going to eliminate the Undertaker for sure. He then calls out Bam Bam Bigelow. The fans relentlessly mock him with chants of LT! LT! LT! and Bigelow just seems down and out depressed. DiBiasie says Bam Bam Bigelow was supposed to be the crown jewel of the Million Dollar Corporation when they started this whole thing over a year ago. But time and time again, all Bigelow has done is fail him. Last night was the biggest fail by losing against a man who had never wrestled a match in his damn life! He says the thought of Bigelow being his crown jewel absolutely disgusts him at this point. Bigelow snatches the mic. Bigelow tells DiBiasie that he's sorry. He said he was sorry last night, and he's saying it again. But there's only so many times the Beast from the East is going to say sorry before he starts saying other things. A very annoyed IRS grabs a microphone and tells Bigelow to watch his tone, and Mr. DiBiasie has done everything he possibly can to ensure that those of them in the MIllion Dollar Corporation don't screw up like Bigelow has for the past 16 months. Bigelow wraps his hands around IRS's throat. The rest of the Million Dollar Corporation swarms in and pulls Bigelow off. IRS goes to dart at Bigelow but DiBiasie stops him. DiBiasie grabs the mic and looks at Bigelow. He says if Bam Bam Bigelow thinks he is the Million Dollar Corporation, then it's time to prove it. DiBiasie drops the mic and the Corporation members let go of Bigelow. Everyone leaves Bigelow behind, who seems furious back in the ring.

Diesel thanks the fans for all the support, it's been a tough road to get to the top and now he's finally on top, he's the new WWF Champion. Vince asks Diesel to describe the feeling last night at WrestleMania? Diesel talks about his long journey to get to the top. He's worked hard for this. Last night it was the greatest moment of his life. A lot of people thought he would never become the champion but now he's got the big gold. The crowd roars. Diesel thanks the fans for their support. It felt so good to see his friends come down and celebrate with him. Now when he broke up with Shawn all he was thinking was he had to win the Royal Rumble. He won the Rumble match. Then he fought his way to get into the main event of WrestleMania and became the champion. Diesel puts over Yokozuna. He says even though Yoko may run America down he is still a great competitor and a great Champion. Diesel says he beat the best to become the best and now Big Daddy Cool is numero uno. From this day forward we're now into the Diesel era. Yokozuna, anytime you want a shot you got it man. This goes for anyone, you want it, come get it. Diesel's not going to back down from any challenges.

Shawn complains about Diesel always wanting to steal the spotlight from Shawn. Shawn says he knows he is the better man and he can and will beat Diesel for the WWF Championship. Shawn says that everyone should stand behind him and know their place like Sid does. Shawn says the only man who deserves to be #1 contender is him. Sid then gets in Shawn's face. Sid is screaming about Shawn disrespecting him. Shawn just shrugs him off and turns around to finish with Vince. Sid clotheslines Shawn from behind. Vince bails to the outside and Sid lifts Shawn up and begins murdering him with big kicks to the midsection. He grabs Shawn and sets him up powerbomb. Followed by another. Shawn looks hurt but Sid doesn't care third powerbomb. Sid goes for a fourth but out runs Diesel for the save. Sid escapes after only taking two right hands from Diesel. Sid walks to the back, laughing like a mad man. Diesel stands over the fallen Shawn Michaels and warns Sid not to come back.

Jarrett turns into the camera and says he will win the 1995 King of the Ring tournament.

The camera shot turns black and we've faded into a dark room. We see absolutely nothing but the darkness. Suddenly, a voice comes over the shot. You see, it is this simple. Two men enter, and one man leaves. It has been that way since the beginning of time, since the first time the sun rose over the earth. And it will be like that until the day the earth stops moving, when I tell it to stop moving. And if I don't get what's coming to me sooner or later, then the world will stop moving for alot of people. Throughout history, as warfare has become more advanced, people of earth have grown to fear the Atom Bomb, the H-Bomb, the Nuclear Bomb. Fear of the extinction of life. Yet, life continues on. Life continues on because mankind has yet to build a bomb strong enough to wipe out the entire world. I have. I have. And for Big Daddy Cool, for the World Wrestling Federation as you know it, that bomb, it is the powerbomb. Sid appears holding the world in his hands. I am the master and ruler of the world.
