All the WWE and NXT Superstars are on the stage as RAW comes on air. Mr. McMahon’s music hits as he makes his way down to the ring.

After welcoming the WWE Universe to Raw, Mr. McMahon asks Triple H and Stephanie McMahon to join him in the ring, who are standing front and centre of all the superstars on the stage.

Mr. McMahon says that over the past few months he has been sitting at home watching all the WWE events and speaking to a lot of WWE Superstars from the past and present and have been talking about the performance of the Authority. Most have said that they have done a good job and doing well in promoting the future generation of WWE. Others however have said that they are only giving opportunities to those that do what they say. Hunter comes back and says that he has given title opportunities to Daniel Bryan, Roman Reigns and Dean Ambrose and none of them have towed the company line. Mr. McMahon says that he agrees with Hunter and he has what is best for business in mind. But he says that it is very important for WWE to be running a harmonious locker room. He doesn’t want superstars running amuck and taking their actions outside of the ring like we say at Money in the Bank. He announces that in order to improve back room morale he has hired two of the best technical wrestlers that WWE have ever seen. These two men have had many problems with the Authority over the years so they will able to help anyone who has a conflict with them. Both men are former WWE Champions and without further ado he brings out the two men.

Chris Jericho’s music hits first and he appears on the stage wearing a suit. The crowd go nuts and start chanting for Y2J.

The WWE superstars part down the middle as he makes his way down the ramp and into the ring. He shakes the hand of Mr. McMahon as Triple H gets in Jericho’s face before the two men are separated by the sound of Daniel Bryan’s music. The fans stop chanting for Y2J and start cheering for Bryan with a big Yes chant.

Daniel Bryan appears on stage also in a suit as he makes his way down the ramp and into the ring shaking Vince and Jericho’s hand. Triple H and Stephanie are furious at what is happening.

Mr. McMahon says that the reason that he has all the Superstars and Divas contracted to WWE out here tonight is that he has made a major decision regarding RAW and Smackdown. As of Battleground all WWE contracts will be no longer valid. The superstars on the stage are agitated after hearing this news and some are clearly angered by this. Mr. McMahon continues by saying that does not mean that the Superstars are being left high and dry. They will have one week to negotiate new deals with either the Authority or the team of Bryan and Jericho. The Authority will be running RAW and Bryan and Jericho will be running Smackdown. Each roster will have 30 spots available to both men and women of the WWE. Jericho and Bryan look very happy at what they have just heard whilst Stephanie cannot believe the news. Both pairs of GM’s will have their chance to pitch to the WWE superstars and Universe why they should sign with either brand later on tonight.

Mr. McMahon says that there is no obligation of these two brands to offer anyone a contract. With only 60 spots available superstars from NXT are available as well. The only superstars who do not need to negotiate a new deal will be the WWE World Heavyweight Champion, Seth Rollins, Tag Team Champs, Kofi Kingston, Xavier Woods and Big E and Divas champions, Paige. For all other superstars they must do their own deals and sign with either brand. If a Superstar or Divas are not signed to a brand they will be sent to NXT.

The WWE Superstars on the stage are impressed by this decision now and some are even clapping the announcement.

Mr. McMahon says that he has also been listening to the WWE fans about giving superstars the opportunity to capture the WWE World Heavyweight Championship. So tonight we will see a first in the WWE. On this one off, four hour special edition of RAW, a sixteen man steel cage number one contender tournament where the winner will be granted the opportunity to fight Seth Rollins at Battleground for the WWE World Heavyweight Championship in a Steel Cage. All tournament matches will be held tonight inside of that steel cage above the ring. A bracket showing the matches and potential matchups flashes onto the screen.

He says our first match begins after the break as the steel cage begins to lower.

Commercial Break

Upon returning from Commercial we see Neville and Kevin Owens in the ring with cage secured around them.

Match Number One: Tournament Match – Kevin Owens vs. Neville

Both men are putting on a very physical match after both men went through physical encounters at the Money in the Bank pay per view. Owens is utilising the cage more and throws Neville into it as well as keeping him between the ropes and the cage and runs into him. Owens tries to finish Neville off with a Push Up Powerbomb but as he pushes Neville up into the air John Cena’s music hits. Owens takes his focus off Neville, Neville manages to counter the Push-Up Powerbomb into a hurricanrana roll up. Neville manages to get the three.
Winner: Neville

John Cena appears on the titantron after the match. He calls out to Kevin Owens in the ring. Cena is not in the arena but appears to be at his home. He announces that last night after their match the doctors recommended that Cena take a few weeks off in ring action just to let his back and ribs heel. Cena is going to take their advice and not compete until Battleground where he will defend his United States Title in a Last Man Standing match against Kevin Owens. Owens says his on raising the NXT championship above his head.

Michael Cole : A huge announcement just then for Battleground with John Cena and Kevin Owens facing off in a Last Man Standing Match for the United States Title.
Byron Saxton : Owens won the first match and took Cena out in their second now with the gold on the line it just adds to the intrigue.
Michael Cole : Well, tonight on Monday Night RAW we have a very special edition that will be four hours long. We have already started with the first ever 16 man steel cage number one contender for the WWE World Heavyweight Title tournament.
JBL : We will see all these great matches later on tonight in order to determine who will face Seth Rollins inside a steel cage at Battleground for the gold.
Byron Saxton: Nevi lle is the first man to advance through to the quarters he will face the winner of our next match where Cesaro faces off with the Legend Killer, Randy Orton.
Michael Cole: But before we get to that match we must talk about the bombshell that Mr. McMahon dropped earlier.

A short clip showing the Brand Extension announcement is shown.

JBL : The Authority will now be solely in charge of RAW and the team of rookie GM’s Daniel Bryan and Chris Jericho will be in charge of Smackdown.
Byron Saxton: With Superstars being allowed to negotiate their own deals and have until Battleground to negotiate new deals.
Michael Cole: This puts the pressure on each individual Superstar to ensure that they go to the show that they think will get them to the top of the WWE
JBL: The opportunity to work under either GM pairing is something that can make or break any WWE career.
Byron Saxton: Well we have just received word that Kane and Cesaro have signed with The Authority and RAW.
Michael Cole: No real surprise there from those two men. Kane being the Director of Operations for The Authority and Cesaro took the big step last night to help Seth Rollins retain his title.
JBL: Two very astute signings that’s for sure.
Byron Saxton: I didn’t expect anything else from these two to be honest.

Match Number Two: Tournament Match – Randy Orton vs Cesaro

Cesaro and Orton are still nursing injuries after their attack by Brock Lesnar in the Money in the Bank Ladder Match. Orton and Cesaro have a very good match countering each other’s finishing moves. Orton tries to escape the cage over the top after hitting Cesaro with a DDT between the ropes. Before Orton can finish his climb to the top Cesaro manages to pull him down and deliver a heavy Uppercut to the chin. Cesaro covers Orton for the three and gets the win.
Winner: Cesaro

Backstage we see Daniel Bryan and Chris Jericho talking to a small group of superstars about the prospect of signing with the Smackdown brand. The Prime Time Players, Lucha Dragons, Heath Slater, Zack Ryder, Damien Sandow and Curtis Axel are listening intently to what they say as we cut to a commercial break.
Commercial Break

We come back from the break with King Barrett coming down the ramp.

Match Number Three: Tournament Match – Mark Henry vs Roman Reigns

Roman Reigns dominates the match hitting a spear and Superman Punch to take Henry down in a very quick and short match.
Winner: Roman Reigns

Roman Reigns gets on a mic after the match and calls out Brock Lesnar. Roman tells the WWE Universe that last night Brock robbed him from winning the Money in the Bank contract. He demands that Lesnar come down to the ring and face him like a man. Paul Heyman comes out alone he tells Roman that Lesnar will be making a statement later on tonight he just got caught up earlier doing some promotion work for his sponsors. Reigns refuses to accept the answer from Heyman but Heyman comes back and says that Reigns should go back stage and get ready for his match with Kane or Barrett before focusing on Lesnar. Heyman walks backstage as we go to commercial.

Commercial Break

Match Number Four: Tournament Match – King Barrett vs Kane

Kane enters the cage and immediately charges at Barrett. Barrett is on the back foot from the start of the match but he can’t escape from Kane. Kane hits Barrett hard and looks to deliver a huge choke slam. Barrett manages to escape the move and hits a big boot. Barrett manages to get Kane into the corner and looks to pound him with some knees and fists. Barrett looks to hit a running clothesline in the corner but Kane moves out of the way. Barrett bounces off the turnbuckle and is met by a huge chokeslam. Barrett kicks out of the cover. Barrett counters a leg drop from Kane. When Kane gets up he gets hit by a massive Bull Hammer. Barrett covers him for the win.
Winner: King Barrett

Barrett walks out of the cage and up the ramp but before he gets to the top Kane grabs a mic. Kane tells Barrett that this is not the last time that these two will cross paths and he will not forgive him for taking away the chance to win the Money in the Bank Contract.

Backstage we see The Authority talking to Seth Rollins, Cesaro and J and J security. They have just learnt from Mr. McMahon that because J and J aren’t signed as in ring talent they do not need to be signed like the other superstars. Triple H is discussing some of the names that they are looking at signing before Bryan and Jericho get their hands on them. Names mentioned included The Big Show, Sheamus and Bray Wyatt.

Commercial Break

Michael Cole : Well we are halfway through our first round match ups here in the Sixteen Man Steel Cage Number One Contender Tournament for the WWE World Heavyweight Title.
JBL : That’s right Cole, we have seen Kevin Owens get distracted by Cena to allow Neville to advance.
Byron Saxton : This was followed by Cesaro delivering a thunderous uppercut to Randy Orton before he managed to escape to get the pinfall victory.
JBL : That means that Cesaro and Neville will face off later tonight.
Michael Cole : The other match confirmed so far will be between King Barrett and Roman Reigns after they defeated Kane and Mark Henry respectively.
Byron Saxton : In other major news RAW have only confirmed two superstars in Cesaro and Kane, whilst Smackdown have yet to sign anyone.
Michael Cole : Jericho and Bryan will be appearing later tonight to discuss with the WWE Universe why the superstars should be signing with them on Smackdown.
JBL : It’s no surprise that Cesaro and Kane have signed with RAW, Cole, they are Authority men so no reason for them to go anywhere else.
Byron Saxton : I wa nt to see where Mr. Money in the Bank ends up we haven’t heard from him just yet.
Michael Cole: Well i t is now time to head back into the cage for our next match.

Match Number Five: Tournament Match – Dolph Ziggler vs The Miz.

Dolph gets the early advantage and tries to take The Miz down early. Dolph eventually works Miz into a corner and tries to work Miz over. Miz manages to reverse the situation and gets Dolph into the corner. Miz hits a running clothesline into the corner. Miz starts to climb out but Dolph joins him up the top of the cage. Miz and Dolph start throwing punches on the top of the cage at one another. Miz loses his spot and crashes to the mat. Dolph climbs over to the other side and onto the floor.
Winner: Dolph Ziggler

Backstage the Authority have walked into the Superstars locker room and are addressing them. Their main argument is that the Authority have been working in this industry booking matches. Jericho and Bryan have never booked anything in relation to the WWE and anyone that signs with them, obviously doesn’t want to be in the WWE Championship matches anytime soon. Sheamus stands up to the Authority and says that he has made his decision and he will announce it after kicks R Truths head in after his match. Sheamus walks out and heads to the ring.

Match Number Six: Tournament Match – Sheamus vs. R Truth

Sheamus and R-Truth lock up early but Sheamus gets the upper hand and shoulder tackles Truth to the mat. Sheamus manages to throw Truth into the cage. Truth tries to fight back off his knees but Sheamus gives him a knee to take him back down. Sheamus throws Truth between the ropes and the cage and delivers several forearms across the chest. R Truth is draped on the ropes between the cage. Sheamus runs across the ring and delivers a thunderous Brogue Kick. Truth slumps to the mat. Sheamus tells the ref to open the door as he walks out of the cage.
Winner: Sheamus

Sheamus leaves the ring to go grab a microphone. Sheamus tells everyone that he is now a member of RAW. He tells everyone that what he just did to Truth is a message to anyone thinking of signing with RAW that is what he can do. Sheamus says that Dolph Ziggler better be watching because his next.
Commercial Break

Michael Cole: Well just before the break Sheamus and Dolph Ziggler advanced in the Number One Contender Tournament with Sheamus also announcing that he was signing with RAW. What do you think of that John?
JBL: Sheamus knows what the Authority can do for his career it’s a no brainer if you ask me.
Byron Saxton: The Authority has screwed over and turned their back on so many individuals how can you trust them John, I would be signing with Jericho and Bryan if I had the option no questions asked.
Michael Cole: Well that is now 3 to RAW and Smackdown haven’t signed anyone yet.
JBL: I think that the Authority will sign everyone they want and leave Smackdown with the rest.
Byron Saxton: Don’t write Jericho and Bryan off someone will want to sign with them soon I just know it.

Match Number Seven: Tournament Match - Dean Ambrose vs Kofi Kingston.

Dean Ambrose has a determined look on his face as Kofi is accompanied by the New Day at ring side. Dean dominates the early going but as he tries to escape one side Xavier Woods starts climbing up. Ambrose jumps back down and continues the assault. Kofi manages to hit a Trouble in Paradise on Dean. He tries to climb over the top to the encouragement of New Day but Ambrose pulls Kofi back in by the hair as he goes over the top. Ambrose nails a Dirty Deeds off the top of the cage on Kingston. Ambrose ends up on top of Kingston and he gets the three.
Winner: Dean Ambrose

Big E and Xavier Woods rush into the ring and help Kofi Kingston. Big E picks up Kofi and carries him off to the backstage area. Ambrose finally manages to walk out of the ring and up the ramp clearly in some discomfort. He is met by Jericho and Bryan as he walks through the curtain. Bryan and Ambrose talk to one another about signing with Smackdown. Ambrose likes the sound of that but he needs some time to think about it because he has some unfinished business with the Authority and if he signs with Smackdown he won’t be able to finish that off. Ryback walks past Jericho and Bryan and says that he has done some thinking. He is bringing the IC title with him to Smackdown and he doesn’t care what happens with the rest of the WWE locker room.
Match Number Eight: Tournament Match - Ryback vs. The Big Show

Ryback is confident on winning this match after beating Big Show the night before at the Money in the Bank PPV. Big Show starts the match dominant once again throwing Ryback into the corner and grinding his face into the cage. Big Show tries to run into the corner but Ryback moves away again like he did at the Pay Per View. Ryback tries for the meat hook and he nails it. Ryback is now calling for the Shell Shock. Big Show stops Ryback and delivers a choke slam. Big Show pins Ryback in the middle of the ring.
Winner: The Big Show

Big Show grabs a mic after the match and is standing on the outside. He mentions that he just heard that Ryback agreed to go to Smackdown with the Intercontinental Championship. The Big Show says that he wants the Intercontinental Championship and says that means he will be joining Smackdown. As he says that the Miz appears on the titantron. Miz says that he is going to be the next Intercontinental champion so he will be signing with Smackdown despite hating both Jericho and Bryan.

Michael Cole: Looks like we have some more signings to announce since we last had an update of the rosters. Smackdown finally signed three superstars in Intercontinental Champion, Ryback and two challengers in The Miz and the Big Show.
Byron Saxton: RAW has also added to their roster by signing King Barrett, Rusev and Sheamus to Cesaro and Kane.
JBL: Why would the Miz, Ryback and Big Show sign with Smackdown they should have stuck with the Authority.
Michael Cole: They obviously have faith in Jericho and Bryan to lead them forward. Anyway we have now decided the second round of our tournament to decide the number one contender for the WWE World Heavyweight Champion. Let’s have a look at the bracket.

Michael Cole: John and Byron who do you think will win this tournament after seeing the first round of matches.
JBL: I think Sheamus was very impressive he can definitely win this match.
Byron Saxton: I have three words for you Cole; they are Roman Reigns, Believe.

Backstage Daniel Bryan and Chris Jericho are talking to the Divas and they seem to have their attention. Naomi, Cameron, Tamina, Summer Rae and Rosa all agree to sign with Smackdown. Emma, Nikki, Brie, Natalya and Alicia are little more sceptical and decide to sign off with RAW.
Match Number Nine: Tournament Match - Neville vs Cesaro

Cesaro starts the match off with a running knee lift to Neville which Neville takes the full brunt of and sends him hard to the mat. Cesaro dominates the early going of the match until he makes a mistake and tried the swing only for Neville to counter with a step up enzuguri. Neville takes over the match and delivers some high risk manoeuvres that take Cesaro down. Neville tries to capitalise on the opportunity and starts climbing the cage. Kane, Rollins and J and J Security rush to ringside as Neville is reaching the top. Neville notices that they have opened the door for Cesaro to attempt to escape from. Neville decides to hit a Red Arrow off the top of the cage but Cesaro rolls out of the way. Neville crashes hard into the mat. Cesaro manages to crawl out of the ring into the arms of the Authority who are waiting at ringside.

Winner: Cesaro

Commercial Break

Upon returning from the break Daniel Bryan and Chris Jericho are talking to the male superstars. They are pushing the idea that they will teach everyone how to be better wrestlers and entertainers both in and out of the ring. They will be the fresh faces that push everyone to reach the next level. Most of the superstars appear to have smiles on their face at hearing this.

Match Number Ten: Tournament Match - King Barrett vs. Roman Reigns

Barrett is already at ring side. Roman Reigns joins the match and immediately starts out physically assaulting Barrett with lefts and rights on the mat after a hard takedown. Roman gets the fans behind him and delivers a thunderous Superman Punch that has Barrett staggered. Roman runs across the ring and delivers a spear. Roman pins Barrett in the centre of the ring.

Winner: Roman Reigns.

Roman gets on the mic once again and calls out Brock Lesnar. Roman this time says that he heard that Brock has arrived in the arena now after his earlier commitment and he wants to face him in the ring. Paul Heyman this time makes his way down to the ring and enters still without Brock. Heyman tells Roman that Lesnar is here and he has a message for Roman that he wanted to pass on. Heyman tells Reigns that Lesnar destroyed Roman yesterday because he was the man who made Lesnar lose his WWE World Heavyweight Title. Roman was the man who got beat for Seth Rollins to win the belt and now Brock is going to be taking his revenge slowly on Roman before he destroys Seth. Brock still has his rematch and will use that once he destroys the man who allowed Seth Rollins to be the champ. Roman tells Lesnar to bring it on. He will not back down. Lesnar comes out of the crowd and attacks Roman from behind and delivers two F5’s after one another.

Lesnar then locks in the kimura which Roman instantly taps out until Heyman calls Lesnar off. Lesnar and Heyman walk back up the ramp with Lesnar laughing as we go to commercial.
Commercial Break

Match Number Eleven: Tournament Match - Dolph Ziggler vs. Sheamus

Dolph and Sheamus have a heated battle which takes both men to the edge. Having battled each other many times the Brogue and Zig Zag are countered many times. Eventually Dolph goes on a run late in the match hitting multiple moves that ground Sheamus from drop kicks to a super kick and a bull dog. Sheamus is met by a Zig Zag which he manages to kick out of. Sheamus then tries for a White Noise but Ziggler slips out the back and meets Sheamus with a Zig Zag from behind. Ziggler gets the pin for the win.
Winner: Dolph Ziggler

Michael Cole : Now that we are getting to the pointy end of this tournament we now know that Cesaro will face Roman Reigns and Dolph Ziggler will face the winner of Big Show and Dean Ambrose.
JBL : One of those five men will be the number one contender for the WWE World Heavyweight Title.
Byron Saxton : My man Roman is still going John, what about your pick Sheamus?
JBL : Shut up Byron, after that attack by Brock I will be surprised if he even competes in the semi finals.
Michael Cole : Well we have learnt that Roman is under medical attention right now and will need to be cleared to compete later tonight. Well changing gear now more Superstars have signed with RAW and Smackdown.
JBL : That’s right Cole so far confirmed for RAW are Cesaro, Kane, King Barrett, Sheamus, Rusev, Curtis Axel, Damien Sandow, Jack Swagger, Alicia Fox, Natalya, Emma and the Bella Twins.
Byron Saxton : RAW have some big names that’s for sure but Smackdown have confirmed, Ryback, The Miz, The Big Show, Neville, Randy Orton, R Truth, the Lucha Dragons, Naomi, Cameron, Tamina, Summer Rae and Rosa Mendes.
Michael Cole: And we st ill haven’t heard where Dolph Ziggler, Roman Reigns, John Cena, Dean Ambrose, Brock Lesnar, Kevin Owens or Mr. Money in the Bank Bray Wyatt are heading just yet.
JBL: Well it’s now time for our final second round matchup between the Big Show and that lunatic Dean Ambrose. Let’s go Big Show.

Match Number Twelve: Tournament Match – Dean Ambrose vs the Big Show.

The Big Show gets the better of Ambrose in the early going of the match. Big Show manages to keep Ambrose fairly quiet only getting in a few punches. Big Show tries to squash Ambrose as he lays against the rope but Ambrose ducks and pulls the rope down. Big Show runs into the cage and somehow manages to get his right hand caught between the ropes after Ambrose lets go. Big Show is caught and Ambrose tries to take advantage of it by hitting a drop kick on Show’s knee. Big Show falls to his knee and Ambrose this time hits a running knee to the face of Show as he tries to free himself. Ambrose starts climbing to the outside of the cage and reaches the top just as Big Show frees himself. Ambrose manages to escape to the floor before Big Show can get to the door that he was going for.

Winner: Dean Ambrose.

Backstage we are with the trainer who is assessing Roman Reigns. Roman tells the trainer he has no feeling in his right arm after Brock locked in the Kimura. The trainer tries to get Roman to lift his right arm but he can’t do it without being put in pain. The trainer tells him that his night is done. Roman tries to convince him to let him compete but the trainer won’t budge he tells Roman that he is out of the tournament.

The Authority are watching a monitor with Cesaro and tell him that he has a bye for the next round and is through to the final. Seth Rollins tells Cesaro that he didn’t need his help at Money in the Bank and will prove that once he beats his arse at Battleground inside the steel cage. Cesaro says that Rollins wouldn’t be the champ if it wasn’t for him. Kevin Owens interrupts what is going on. Owens tells the Authority that he will sign with them only if they can manage to get Cena on their brand because he wants to make his life a living hell after costing him the chance to win the tournament. Stephanie tells Owens that they have been in contact with Cena and that he has agreed and will be signing his contract this week. Owens says that he will sign when Cena signs.

Commercial Break

Cesaro comes down to join the commentary booth to watch the match.

Match Number Thirteen: Tournament Match – Dolph Ziggler vs Dean Ambrose

Both men are visibly tired after already competing twice already tonight inside the cage. Dolph and Ambrose have some visibly marks of their matches earlier. Dean Ambrose starts the match physically attacking Ziggler. Ambrose tries to start climbing early but Ziggler tracks him down and brings him back down into the ring. Both men end up down after a double clothesline by each other. Dolph eventually gets an upper hand and tries to lock in a Sleeper Hold. Ambrose manages to escape by throwing Ziggler into the cage. Ambrose tells Cesaro to watch this and looks to lock in the Dirty Deeds. Ziggler manages to counter and score a quick roll up for the win.
Winner: Dolph Ziggler.

Dolph and Cesaro stare off at each other through the cage as we head backstage to Bryan and Jericho in their office.

Jericho: So Daniel so far we have got a solid roster building but we really need some big names to sign.
Bryan: I know we have both had problems with this man in the past but he could be exactly what we need to give us some of the other top names.
Jericho: Cena? Roman? Who?
Bryan: Wyatt.
Jericho: That man is twisted are we sure we want him running around backstage?
Bryan: YES, YES, YES, YES.
Jericho: Well you can be the man who finds him and get him to sign.

The crowd continue the yes chant as we go back to the ring.
Match Number Fourteen: Paige and Emma vs. The Bella Twins

Paige starts the match with Brie and dominates the early going tagging in Emma. Brie manages to draw Emma into her corner where Nikki attacks her with the ring rope while the ref is distracted by Brie. Nikki and Brie double team and tag out leaving Emma in their corner multiple times. Emma manages to get free after she dodges a clothesline from Brie that sends her flying in to the turnbuckle. Emma makes the hot tag to Paige who cleans out and hit Nikki with a Ram-Paige to get the win.
Winners: Paige and Emma

Commercial Break

Backstage we learn that this week’s Smackdown will have the main event of Roman Reigns, Dean Ambrose and Dolph Ziggler vs. Cesaro, Kane and Seth Rollins.

Daniel Bryan is walking around looking for Bray Wyatt but no one has seen him all night. Bryan runs into Roman Reigns and asks him if he has come up with who is going to sign with. Roman just says before Smackdown he wants to sit down and think over both offers before he makes his decision.

Money in the Bank Pre Show – Panel: Renee Young, Booker T, Corey Graves and Byron Saxton.

The panel look at all the matches coming up on the main card before crossing to the ring for the first match.

Pre Show: King Barrett vs R – Truth.

R – Truth makes his way out to the ring first with his own version of his sceptre and gown. King Barrett’s music hits but he does not appear on the stage. His music restarts but Barrett slides in from the other side of the ring and hits Truth in the back with his sceptre. Barrett goes nuts repeatedly striking Truth with his weapon. Barrett rolls out of the ring and starts walking up the ramp and grabs one of the many ladders at ringside. Barrett rolls back into the ring and puts the ladder up on top of Truth. Truth hasn’t moved since the attack and Barrett has now grabbed a mic and climbs the ladder. Barrett proclaims that as the King of the WWE he should be in the Money in the Bank match and not competing on the pre-show against some peasant. Barrett says he will not leave the ring until someone from the Authority comes out and puts him into the match officially. J and J Security make their way out to the ring and try to reason with Barrett who is still on the ladder and Truth is still laid out under the ladder. Barrett refuses to listen to Mercury and Noble. He jumps off of the ladder and picks up his sceptre and smashes both Noble and Mercury with the sceptre. We hear Kane over the loud speaker calling for security. 20 security guards run down the ramp and surround Barrett. Barrett tries to keep them at bay with his sceptre. Eventually one security guard manages to take Barrett down from behind. Kane has made his way down the ramp and into the ring he tells security to throw Barrett out of the arena and he will deal with him personally tomorrow night on RAW.

Back up to the panel for a final wrap before the main show starts. Booker T predicts Roman Reigns and Dean Ambrose will win the two main events, Corey Graves thinks Randy Orton and Seth Rollins whilst Byron Saxton thinks that Kevin Owens and John Cena is going to steal the show later in the night.

Main
Card

The Authority makes their way down to the ring to start the show. Triple H and Stephanie McMahon are followed by Kane, J and J Security and Seth Rollins. Triple H has a microphone in his hand and tells everyone that tomorrow will be a history making four hour edition of RAW. Mr. McMahon will be returning to make a special announcement regarding the future of the WWE. Stephanie says that’s they are unaware of what her father is going to announce and that the Authority know that he will do what is best for business. The Miz is in the ring to start Smackdown with the set of Miz TV set up.

The Miz: Welcome to Smackdown, you are looking at the next WWE Intercontinental Champion, but unfortunately there are two behemoths that think they can stop the Miz. But you see nothing will get in my way of being the champ. Not someone who is as wide as the ring or someone who constantly wants to eat.

The Big Show’s music hits and he makes his way down to the ring.

The Big Show: Now Miz I don’t know how you think you are the next Intercontinental champion when I know that it will be me.
The Miz: Now Show you may think that just because you can literally squash any of your opponents just by sitting on them that doesn’t mean you can beat me.
The Big Show: Miz if I wanted to I could rip your head right off, right now.

Ryback’s music hits and he comes down to the ring.

Ryback: Hold it there boys. Nobody is going to be taking this Intercontinental title off me. I will be holding this belt as long as I choose to be.
The Miz: Nobody wants to listen to you big boy. Everyone came here to listen to me.

The crowd boo the Miz. Neville’s music hits and he appears on the stage with a mic in hand.

Neville: Now Miz hold your horses. If I remember correctly on Monday night at RAW I beat you. So that means that I just took your spot in the claim for the Intercontinental championship.

Neville has made his way into the ring now and joins the three men.

Neville: I want a sh….

The Miz attacks Neville before he can finish what he has to say. Ryback and Big Show start going at as well and all four men are just going wild attacking each other. Eventually Ryback and Neville clear the ring of Show and Miz.

Jericho and Bryan appear on the Titantron and the crowd give a loud pop.

Chris Jericho: Hold it right there boys.
Daniel Bryan: Lets settle this properly. Later on tonight all four of you will be involved in a match. That match will be a tag team match.
Jericho: Ryback and Neville you two will team up to take on the team of the Big Show and the Miz.

Neville and Ryback shake hands with a smile on their face as Miz looks angry at the decision.

We go backstage to the office of The Authority.

Triple H: Well looks like we’re getting closer to our roster being done. The main thing we need to sort out now is just a few of the big stars.
Stephanie McMahon: Well we know that Roman Reigns, Dolph Ziggler, Brock Lesnar, Kevin Owens, John Cena, Bray Wyatt and Dean Ambrose are all still free agents. We can’t let Bryan and Jericho get the upper hand and sign these men.
Triple H: Kane, who do you think we should go after first?
Kane: Bray Wyatt as Money in the Bank holder would be vital to our RAW brand.
Mercury: I want Owens, this kid is something that us in the Authority need to get our hands on and nurture as one of our own.
Rollins: I want my hands on Dolph. As the number one contender to the WWE World Heavyweight Championship after you lost Cesaro WE need to make him pay.
Cesaro: Dolph is someone I need to get revenge on for taking that opportunity away from me.
Noble : Cena , he’s the United States Champion, we can’t let Smackdown have both the Intercontinental and United States Title.
Triple H: If we sign Owens and he wins at Battleground we will have the gold.
Kane: Owens made it perfectly clear the other day on RAW that he goes where Cena goes.
Stephanie McMahon : So I guess we go after Cena which will give us the United States title and then we get Owens to follow suit.

Back from the break we are in Daniel Bryan and Chris Jericho’s office who are talking strategy.

Daniel Bryan: We need to start signing some of these superstars that are available to us or we will end up regretting it.
Chris Jericho: I know, I have spoken to Dolph, Roman and Dean during the week again and we are in with a shot but they want to focus on the main event first.
Bryan: What about Bray have you managed to talk to him.
Jericho: Nobody has seen or heard from him since the Money In the Bank match. Daniel I don’t know where he is.

Dolph Ziggler: We have all had problems with the Authority over the past year. Let’s just get through this match and do what we have to do with our contracts after that.
Roman: Well I’m thinking that Seth is going to squirm his way out of this match Dolph. As long as you stay commited to winning the match and not just destroying him we should be fine.
Dean: Never trust what that worm Seth is going to do in that ring.
Dolph: Don’t worry about Seth and I, tonight my sole focus is on winning this match.

Match Number Three: Heath Slater vs. R Truth

Slater starts the match out solidly and gets the upper hand early on. Truth manages to get on a bit of a role before he hits the Lie Detector to get the win.

Stephanie: So Mr. Jericho how is your roster coming along.
Jericho: We are getting close to closing some deals but still have a long way to go.
Stephanie: Ahh good to hear that you are getting so close to signing some superstars because I was just going to file all these contracts that I just had signed.

Stephanie flips through the folder and Jericho is shocked to see some of the names on the list.

Jericho: How did you convince The Prime Time Players to sign a deal with you I was just on the phone to them and we were almost done with our deal.
Stephanie: Oh you see Chris, I am not going to give up any of my secrets but I will say that at Battleground we now have a match for the WWE World Tag Team Titles locked in. It will be The New Day vs. The Prime Time Players vs. The Ascension vs. Los Matadores.

Stephanie shows Jericho the signed contracts of the Prime Time Players, the Ascension and Los Matadores.

Stephanie: Oh and you can add Adam Rose, Heath Slater, Fandango and Zack Ryder to this list of contracts.
Jericho: Now why would they want to sign with the Authority?
Stephanie: You see Jericho, you just put these four in matches earlier tonight and none of them where happy with how you handled them in their matches. So they want someone who actually knows how to book a show not just someone who is a wrestler.

Stephanie walks away laughing at Jericho.

Triple H: Cena wants in but Jericho has been speaking to him as well. He said Monday he will let us know.

Stephanie McMahon: He will don’t worry we’ll make sure that he does.
Triple H: We just need to feed Cena’s ego and he will be ours and that will mean Owens as well.

Main Event: Seth Rollins, Kane and Cesaro vs. Roman Reigns, Dean Ambrose and Dolph Ziggler.

Kane and Roman start the match out and it is very physical. The faces manage to work through some tags and separate Kane from his team mates. Towards the end of the match we have Cesaro and Ambrose as the legal men in the match. Chaos starts to happen when all six men are in the ring. Rollins and Ziggler take each other over the ropes to the outside and start fighting each other into the crowd. Reigns has his sights set on Kane and delivers a Super Man punch. Cesaro is next in line but Lesnar appears on the titantron with Heyman. Heyman calls out to Lesnar who has a baseball bat in his hands. He is standing next to truck. Lesnar takes one swing at the truck and shatters the window. Reigns is pissed and runs up the ramp. Lesnar continues his assault on the car as the camera returns to the ring where Ambrose has delivered a Dirty Deeds to Cesaro. Winners: Seth Rollins, Kane and Cesaro.

Backstage we see Reigns arrive in the carpark with his car damaged with dents and broken windows. Lesnar is standing on top of the car. He yells to Reigns that he will destroy him at Battleground just like his car. Reigns picks up the baseball bat that is on the floor next to the car and throws it at Lesnar. Lesnar dodges out of the way and just laughs at him in a sinister way. Heyman ushers Lesnar off the car into a car that is on the other side of the car away from Reigns as he looks on at the car driving off with Lesnar and Heyman inside as Smackdown goes off the air.

The Authority open RAW in the ring.

Triple H: So tonight marks the first night of the brand extension and so far us here in the RAW camp have managed to sign 24 of the top WWE superstars.

Stephanie McMahon: That means that we only have six slots left to fill. Meanwhile Smackdown has thirteen spots to fill on their roster. So obviously we can’t stand to sign all the talent that is left on the roster.

Triple H: Superstars such as Brock Lesnar, Kevin Owens, John Cena, Dean Ambrose, Dolph Ziggler, Roman Reigns and Mark Henry are all still available and we will be doing our best to ensure we get the best results for our roster.

Stephanie McMahon: So tonight we have decided to ensure that we get the best superstars for our roster.

Triple H
: We have hired out two suites up in the grandstand for these seven superstars to take in all of the action here on RAW. How you going guys?

Stephanie McMahon: We know seven into six don’t go so first in will get the contracts and the last man left will have to go and sign on that B+ show run by Daniel Bryan and Chris Jericho.

Triple H: So our first special treat for these guys will be some great action with WWE World Tag Team Champions The New Day and The Ascension competing in a ten man tag team match against the Prime Time Players, Los Matadores and Jimmy Uso.

Stephanie McMahon : That will also be coupled with Cesaro and King Barrett going at each other in one on one action.

T riple H: And to top it all off our main event will be the WWE World Heavyweight Champion, Seth Rollins teaming with Kane in handicap action against Heath Slater, Zack Ryder and Adam Rose.

Stephanie McMahon: So let’s kick off the action with our opening bout the huge ten man tag team match.

The Authority starts exiting the ring as the New Day make their way down the ring with the fans chanting New Day Sucks.

Match Number 1: Kofi Kingston, Big E, Xavier Woods, Konnor and Viktor vs. Titus O’Neill, Darren Young, Fernando, Diego and Jimmy Uso.

Big E and Titus start the match and physically get into the match with one another. Eventually all ten men end up in the ring in a wild brawl. Everyone takes each other to the outside leaving only Diego and Xavier Woods in the ring. Xavier Woods gets hit by a Hammerlock Swinging DDT. Viktor comes in and nails a Double Underhook Powerbomb on Diego. Fernando spins Viktor around and meets him with double knees to the face. Kofi Kingston rolls into the ring and nails a Trouble in Paradise to Fernando. Jimmy Uso comes back with a superkick sending Kofi out of the ring. Big E spins Jimmy around and delivers the Big Ending. Titus comes back into ring and nails the Clash of the Titus. Konnor lifts Titus up and nails a Fall of Man. Darren Young joins the action and delivers a Gut Check. Xavier Woods manages to connect with the Lost in the Woods as Young is getting up. Diego tries to sneak back in and roll Woods up but Woods holds on to the ropes and gets the pin for the win.

Winners: Xavier Woods, Kofi Kingston, Big E, Konnor and Viktor.

There is a new theme music that plays instead of the New Day’s theme. It’s the NXT Tag Team Champions, Blake and Murphy. They run down to the ring by running down the ramp and immediately run straight through Xavier Woods. Kofi Kingston tries to come to the aid of Woods but he is met by a Superkick by Murphy. Big E meets the same fate of a super kick. Murphy stacks Kofi on top of Woods as Blake climbs the top rope and nails a Frog Splash on both men. Blake and Murphy stand in the ring with the other three tag teams on the outside looking at the NXT Tag Team Champions.

Commercial Break

Backstage we are in the office of the Authority. They are all just talking before they are interrupted by the Meta Powers.

Curits Axel: What you gonna do after going back on your word brother?

Macho Mandow: You told the Meta Powers that we would be facing the Prime Time Players brother.

Curtis Axel: We need a match tonight to prove that we should be in the tag title match at Battleground.

Triple H:
Are you done? I’ll give you a match. This match will be for a spot in the WWE World Tag Team Titles match at Battleground.

Curtis Axel: That’s what we want to hear brother.

Macho Mandow: Ooo yeah.

Triple H : It will be against RAW’s latest tag team, the NXT Tag Team Champions, Blake and Murphy.

Stephanie McMahon: Now get out of here and never demand anything again or we will tear up your contracts.

The Meta Powers walk out of their office.

Stephanie McMahon: Alright so now that we only have four slots left on our roster we need to make priorities.

Triple H: Kevin Owens needs to sign but he will only sign where Cena goes.

Stephanie McMahon: Well let’s get Cena to come down to the ring later tonight with Kevin Owens and get them both to sign on the dotted line.

Triple H: That will leave us with two spots.

Seth Rollins: I want Dolph Ziggler. Mr. McMahon has told me that whoever I lose the title to I will take their spot on the roster. He needs to come to RAW so I am not working under those buffoons on Smackdown.

Triple H: Well that makes it easy, Dolph it is.

Cesaro: Dean Ambrose has already said that he wants me so I think if you put a contract in front of him giving him a match against me at Battleground he’ll sign.

Kane: So we’re going to let Smackdown take Brock Lesnar and Roman Reigns.

Stephanie McMahon: We need to do what’s best for business.

Match Number Two: Brie Bella w/Nikki Bella vs. Natalya

Natalya dominates the match early working over the back of Brie Bella. Nikki Bella decides to get involved in the match and double teams Natalya.

Result: Natalya by disqualification.

The Bella Twins continue the double team on Natalya. Emma runs down the ramp and makes the save for Natalya as the Bella Twins retreat out of the ring as Emma makes it in.

Backstage we join Heath Slater, Adam Ryder and Zack Ryder who are talking to one another.

Zack Ryder: It seems like we have a great opportunity tonight to show the Authroity how good we are.

Heath Slater: When the lights are bright the One Man Rock Band will stand tall.

Adam Rose: The Rosebuds are no longer with me but it’s now time for me to push to glory. I will be using my main event to get the win over the WWE World Heavyweight Champion.

Zack Ryder: Cool it bro, we need to work together to beat the Authority tonight.

Adam Rose: I will show you both how to get the job done.

Adam Rose walks off leaving Heath Slater and Zack Ryder alone.

Match Number Three: Sheamus vs. Jack Swagger

Sheamus meets him and nails a Brogue Kick laying him out.

Sheamus screams to the boos of the crowd as we go to break.

Cesaro dominates the early going in the match and tries to hit a big uppercut. Barrett counters and looks to nail his Bull Hammer but Cesaro sees it coming and ducks out of the way. Cesaro bounces off the ropes and hits a hard clothesline. Cesaro puts Barrett into the swing and spins Barrett seven times. Cesaro waits and delivers the Neutralizer for the win.

Winner: Cesaro

Kane meets Cesaro on the stage and shakes his head in approval shaking the hand of Cesaro looking back at Barrett in the ring.

Kane: Barrett you think that you and I are done. Well we’re not. You and I will be facing each other on the pre-show at Battleground.

Renee Young is up in the faces suite up in the grandstand.

Renee Young: I’m here with Roman Reigns, Dean Ambrose, WWE United States Champion, John Cena and the number one contender to the WWE World Heavyweight Championship, Dolph Ziggler. Now boys you have just been informed that all four of you plus Brock Lesnar, Kevin Owens and Mark Henry will be summoned to the ring later tonight where Triple H and Stephanie McMahon will attempt to get you all to sign with RAW. All of you are obviously tossing up between RAW and Smackdown.

John Cena: You know what Renee all of us have spoken to both brands and have come up with the terms that we want to agree with. Both brands know and I guess we all know have to see what they come up with and decide from there.

Dean Ambrose: It all comes down to who you want to beat and the best way to get to the top. I have a beef with Cesaro right now and I need to take that into consideration.

Roman Reigns: The man that has been taking it out on me lately is Brock Lesnar and he is sitting on the other side of this arena. We will be in the ring later tonight together and there will be fireworks. But I need to look after myself first and then take care of business after that.

Renee Young: And Dolph you hold the key to Seth Rollins future as well. Should you win at Battleground he ends up taking your spot on the WWE roster that you sign for. That could mean that he leaves the Authority should you go to Smackdown.

Dolph Ziggler: I don’t care about Seth, I care about the WWE World Heavyweight Title. Very few people have held that belt and I want to be the next man to do so. Wherever I end up will be Seth ends up because I will be taking the gold.

Renee Young: Well there you go these four men will be in the ring later tonight with Kevin Owens, Mark Henry and Brock Lesnar opposite them.

We go to the backstage area where Renee Young is with Kevin Owens, Brock Lesnar, Paul Heyman and Mark Henry.

Renee Young: I’m here with Kevin Owens, Brock Lesnar and Mark Henry and in a few moments you will be heading into the ring to the Authority and the offers that they have put forward for you. What can we expect?

Kevin Owens: My mission is to stop the John Cena juggernaut. Wherever he goes I will go and I will be taking his United States Title with me at Battleground.

Paul Heyman: Well Renee, I must say that my client Brock Lesnar and I know what we want and until we get what want we will not be signing anywhere.

Mark Henry: For me it’s all about the pain and nothing else. If I can be given the free license to wreak pain and havoc on who I want then that will be the best for me.

Renee Young: Well there you go final words from three of the hottest free agents in WWE right now.

In the ring Triple H and Stephanie McMahon are standing with RAW clipboards in their hands the ring is set up with four tables, two chairs behind each table and a podium in the middle of the ring.

Stephanie McMahon: I would like to invite all seven of our special guests down to the ring.

All seven superstars make their way down to the ring with Paul Heyman joining Brock Lesnar. Roman and Dean sit at one table, Cena and Ziggler the next. Brock and Heyman are on the other side of the ring with Owens and Henry taking the final table.

Triple H: Alright so as you saw earlier in the night we here at RAW are only left with four contractual spots left available after signing the NXT Tag Team Champions, Blake and Murphy.

Stephanie McMahon: That means that only four of you seven gentlemen will be able to sign with us here on RAW.

Paul Heyman interrupts Stephanie McMahon.

Paul Heyman: My name is Paul Heyman and I am the advocate for the baddest man on the planet, the man who put the one in 22 and 1. His name is Brock Lesnar and he hails from Suplex City. He wants you to know that he is and always has been the hottest free agent in WWE History. When Brock burst onto the scene in 2002 both RAW and Smackdown wanted his services and today is no different. I have been speaking to Chris Jericho from Smackdown and he has come up with an amazing offer for my client to take up. But you see I am a business man and it would be stupid for me not to listen to your offer Hunter.

Triple H: Well Paul our offer is simple for Brock. Brock we want to make you apart of the Authority and along with that comes all the perks of being a member of the Authority. You get the jet, you get the money and you get to decide your matches. Sounds like a pretty sweet deal to me.

Paul Heyman: Well Hunter that offer seems pretty fair to me Brock what do you think.

Brock Lesnar: I want Roman Reigns at Battleground.

Triple H: That can be arranged Brock, all you need to do is sign on the dotted line.

Triple H hands Brock the contract with a pen. Brock flicks through the contract. Paul Heyman puts his hand over the contract before Brock can sign. Paul shows Brock his phone before he answers it. Paul says some brief words to the person on the other end before hanging up.

Paul Heyman:
That was Chris Jericho he has upped his offer and included everything that Brock wanted. Looks like the Authority can’t get everything they want.

Paul Heyman tears up the contract before ushering Brock Lesnar out of the ring Brock tells Roman to look out at Battleground.

Stephanie McMahon: Ok so that doesn’t change anything for the Authority. We still know who we want and that is you John Cena. We want you and we know how hard you have worked and how much effort you have put into your career of being the face of the WWE. We respect that. We were the ones who gave you the month off from in ring action until Battleground before facing that man over there Kevin Owens.

Triple H:
John we know that you want to be the main man of WWE once again and we can give you the matches to do what it takes to get back to that level.

Kevin Owens interrupts Triple H.

Kevin Owens: You know what Hunter, you are saying what is wrong with John Cena and his ego. The WWE machine has constantly been producing the same garbage end result of John Cena being superman and overcoming the odds. He is on his way down the drain and come Battleground I will be the WWE United States Champion as well as the NXT Champion. No man in WWE history can ever say they have done that. You know what I will also take out John Cena whether it is at Battleground or after that. My mission here in the WWE is ruin the legacy of the super man John Cena.

John Cena: You done. Kevin at Elimination Chamber you managed to get the win at Money in the Bank the battle got the best of both of us. At Battleground in three weeks time the real Champ will stand up. I don’t care where I sign whether it be Smackdown or RAW. My legacy has and always will be strong whether it be here on Mondays or on Thursdays at Smackdown. I am only interested in looking after myself after I finish my career whenever that me.

Stephanie McMahon hands John Cena a contract. John Cena reads over it and points to one of the clauses.

John Cena: I like the looks of that clause right there.

John Cena signs the contract and shakes the hand of Triple H and Stephanie McMahon.

Kevin Owens: Bravo John you get a wish. But it looks like it’s just about to become your worst nightmare.

Kevin Owens snatches a contract off of the podium and signs it before thrusting it into the chest of Triple H.

Owens and Cena get nose to nose raising their respective titles as RAW goes to its final commercial break.

Commercial Break.

Back from the break we have only Dean Ambrose, Dolph Ziggler, Roman Reigns and Mark Henry still in the ring with the Authority.

Stephanie McMahon: Then there were two contracts left to sign. Dean Ambrose, the lunatic fringe, that is what you like to call yourself. What would you like from us to be able to sign with RAW.

Dean Ambrose: I want your man Cesaro. He cost me the WWE World Heavyweight Title at Money in the Bank.

Triple H: That can be arranged.

Dean Ambrose: And I also want a rematch with Seth Rollins.

Stephanie McMahon: Sign the contract and the wish is yours.

Mark Henry: I’m not going to sit here and watch you fall into all these Superstars demands.

Roman Reigns: Sit back down Mark or I’ll knock you out right now.

Mark Henry and Roman Reigns go nose to nose with one another.

Dean Ambrose is in the background and he has the contract still in his hands. Dean Ambrose signs the contract and then takes the clipboard and hits Mark Henry in the head with it. Chaos starts and the Authority flee the ring. Roman, Dean and Dolph destroy the set and Mark Henry eventually after being hit by a Superman Punch, Dirty Deeds and the Zig Zag.

Roman and Dolph stand in the ring looking at the last unsigned contract left as Dean stands over Mark Henry with his contract.

John Cena starts the show in the ring where he has a mic.

John Cena: Welcome to Monday Night RAW. It’s great to finally have sorted out my contract and having decided to sign with RAW, I’ve had a few fans come up to me asking why did I sign with the Authority after they have tried to screw with me for so long.

The crowd give a mixed reaction.

John Cena: Now I know that the Authority and I have never really seen eye to eye and the relationship between Daniel and Jericho and myself has been hot and cold over the years but that was one of the reasons I wanted to sign with them. However, as many of you are aware I have been around this business and industry for close to 15 years. So when the Authority came forward and offered me something that was going to allow me to look after myself going forward I couldn’t say no.

The crowd start to boo Cena and chanting “you sold out”

John Cena : No, I am not Seth Rollins and no I didn’t sell myself out. I signed the contract that allows me to ….

Kevin Owens music hits and he appears on the stage with his NXT Title draped over his shoulder.

Kevin Owens:
Now John, I don’t want to hear you talk. No one here wants to hear you talk about why you signed here or there. That doesn’t matter now. All that matters is that at Battleground in two weeks I will cripple you and that contract of yours will have to be torn up because you won’t be able to walk.

Kevin Owens has now made his way into the middle of the ring and is face to face with Cena.

Owens: At Battleground that gold will be mine and the fans will need to make sure their cameras are ready because that will be the last time they will see you John.

Cena: You done Kevin. Nobody thinks that I can beat you. Everyone has been saying that I can’t beat you but I’m not going to be just rolling over and handing you the title. If it was up to me Kevin I would kick your arse right now and you will never be seen again. However I can’t compete until Battleground so instead I have chosen your opponent for tonight. Oh and that match starts now.

Kevin Owens swings around as Zack Ryder’s music starts to play and he makes his way down to the ring.

Match Number One: Kevin Owens vs. Zack Ryde r

The match begins with Owens taking it to Ryder. Ryder hits Owens with an elbow in the centre of the ring. The match then heads outside the ring as Owens rolls out. Ryder and Owens scuffle on the floor and both men re-enter the ring. Owens off the ropes is hit by a dropkick from Ryder off the top rope. Owens is up and catches Ryder. He throws Ryder into the ropes and hits him with the Pop Up Powerbomb. 1…2…3.

Winner: Kevin Owens

Kevin Owens stares at John Cena who stayed at ringside as we go to commercial.

Commercial Break

We are back from the break and we are backstage with Dean Ambrose and Renee Young.

Renee Young: Dean, congratulations on signing your contract with RAW. Clearly one of the main reasons that allowed you to sign with RAW was a match up with Cesaro at Battleground. Earlier today it seems that Cesaro has agreed to facing you in that matchup which obviously makes you happy.

Dean Ambrose: Renee, Cesaro cost me the gold and now at Battleground, I’m going to remind him why he and no one else will be wanting to step into the ring with the lunatic fringe.

Renee Young: Well later on tonight Cesaro faces Barrett who has been having some problems with the Authority lately as well. Will you be watching that match closely?

Dean Ambrose: Renee, I might have to take a special look at that match.

Ambrose walks away with a crazed look on his face.

Match Number Two: Sheamus vs. Curtis Axel w/ Macho Mandow

They circle the ring and lock up. They tussle around the ring until Sheamus hits him with a headlock takeover. Axel gets up and powers him against the ropes. Backstage the Bella Twins are talking.

Nikki: Tonight I want you at ring side Brie to ensure that Amazon, Natalya doesn’t get involved in the match.

Brie: Don’t you worry Nikki I’ll be at ring side. Just take that bimbo Emma out. She has no business with us here in the top part of the Divas division.

Nikki: Once I beat Emma tonight, I want to get my rematch with Paige for the Divas Title.

Brie: Let’s do this.

The two divas head to the ring as we go to commercial.

Commercial Break.

Match Number Three: Emma vs. Nikki Bella

They lock up, and Nikki takes her down. Nikki sends her into the ropes and hits a shoulder block. Emma punches her back, but Nikki quickly comes back with a spine buster for a two count. Emma hits a pair of clotheslines before ducking one and hitting a running cross-body block. Nikki reverses a whip into the corner, but she misses an avalanche.

Natalya’s music starts to play which distracts Nikki and Brie. Nikki yells at Brie to try and get to her before she gets to the ring. Brie goes backstage looking for Natalya. Natalya however comes out from under the ring and attacks Nikki from behind. The ref sees this and calls for the bell.

Winner: Nikki Bella by DQ.

Natalya and Emma continue a double team assault on Nikki. Natalya locks Nikki in the Sharpshooter as Emma puts Nikki in the cross face as we go backstage.

We are in the office of the Authority and Seth Rollins is with Kane.

Seth Rollins: Tonight we face the Prime Time Players and I know that Dolph Ziggler is going to be watching me and King Barrett will be watching you. We need to make sure we focus on getting the result we want and making sure we don’t take any hits before Battleground.

Kane: Tonight we will destroy the Prime Time Players and take all the momentum going into Battleground in two weeks,

Seth Rollins: As long as you look after me in that ring tonight the WWE World Heavyweight Title will be able to stay around my waist.

Kane: Hold it there Rollins; I’m here to win the match you have to defend the title on your own. Whether I help you tonight or not won’t have an impact at Battleground.

Both men stare at each other as we go to the ring.

Match Number Four: Cesaro vs. King Barrett

The bell rings, and Cesaro dropkicks Barrett before giving him an uppercut. Cesaro punches away at him in the corner before having a whip reversed to the opposite corner. Barrett connects with a backbreaker before choking him on the ropes. Barrett knees away at him while in the ropes. Barrett then big boots him to the floor. Barrett goes to grab him, but Cesaro drops him on the barricade before giving him an uppercut. Cesaro throws him into the ring and connects with an axe handle off the top rope for a two count. Winner by Pinfall: King Barrett

Cesaro gets back to his feet and he is met by a huge roar from the crowd. Cesaro is looking around and as he turns around he is hit in the stomach by a Singapore Cane. Ambrose is in the ring going nuts with a Singapore Cane on Cesaro. Barrett is still in the ring and he has also been met by the Cane by Ambrose and the crowd are going nuts. Ambrose stands tall in the middle of the ring with the Cane in his mouth as we go to commercial.

Commercial Break

In the ring Blake and Murphy are together with their manager from NXT Alexa Bliss.

Alexa Bliss: Murphy and Blake are here to stay on RAW. You see last week against the Meta Powers everyone thought it was a big fluke. Now at Battleground in two weeks everyone will see why these two men are the NXT Tag Team Champions. We are open to any challenge for either these belts or the belts that these two will win at Battleground.

Los Matadores music hits and both men make their way to the ring with El Torito accompanying them.

Match Number Five: Los Matadores w/ El Torito vs. Blake and Murphy w/ Alexa Bliss.

Fernando and Blake to start. The action breaks down early and the Los Matadores clear Blake and Murphy from the ring. Big moonsault from Fernando to the outside to take the NXT champions down as a pair. Blake tags in, holds the ropes open for Murphy to send Fernando through them, and then takes it to Fernando in the ring. Blake wears Fernando down with holds. Fernando turns a wheelbarrow into a schoolboy for two.

Now it is Murphy with a chinlock. A handful of tights keeps Fernando away from the corner, but Fernando escapes and makes the tag. Hot tag action from Diego. Enziguiri drops Diego, then Blake with a distraction and there is interference behind the ref's back. Brain buster from Murphy and a frog splash from Blake ends it.

Winners: Blake and Murphy

Murphy and Blake pose in the ring with their NXT Tag Titles as we head backstage where Triple H is in his office with Dolph Ziggler.

Triple H: Dolph it has come to my attention that you still need to sign a contract as does Roman Reigns. We want you Dolph.

Dolph Ziggler: Why should I sign with RAW and more particularly the Authority. You have taken me out on multiple occasions and even fired me I am just giving you the right of reply to offer me a contract.

Triple H: Well I can respect that Dolph and also I honestly don’t expect you to just forgive myself or the Authority for the past. But I would say that you have had problems with Daniel Bryan and Chris Jericho and realistically they have been as responsible as the Authority for holding you down.

Ziggler: That is true.

Triple H: Wasn’t it Chris Jericho that stood in the middle of the ring and said that you had no talent.

Ziggler: He was.

Triple H: And didn’t Daniel Bryan knock you back to face one on one at Wrestlemania this year only to beat you in the Intercontinental Title Ladder Match.

Ziggler:
That’s true.

Triple H: These two men don’t care about you and they don’t know what is needed to make a superstar out of the talent that you have.

Ziggler: I must say you do have a point.

Triple H: Well here is our offer for you Dolph, take a look over it and sign it.

Ziggler: Thanks Hunter. But I need to think about it.

Dolph walks out with the contract in his hands.

Main Event: Seth Rollins and Kane vs. Prime Time Players

Kane and Darren Young start the match, but Seth Rollins quickly gets the blind tag. Young whips Kane out of the ring and levels Rollins with a spinning elbow shot. Young whips Rollins to the corner and makes the tag to Titus O’Neil. Young gets the tag, but the distraction from Kane allows Rollins to regain control and make the tag to Kane. Kane whips Young out of the ring, drapes him across the ring apron, and connects with a stiff knee shot to the chest. As we go to commercial.

Young tries to prevent Kane from entering the ring, but the referee tries to get Young back out of the ring. Young’s inadvertent distraction of the referee allows Kane to Chokesalm O’Neil. Rollins covers O’Neil and gets the three count.

Winners: Seth Rollins and Kane.

Seth Rollins and Kane celebrate with the Authority in the middle of the ring as we close out the show.
