Knocks Presents WWE NXT

Spoiler for NXT TakeOver: Unstoppable Results:

Hideo Itami def. Finn Bálor and Tyler Breeze in a Triple Threat match to become the #1 contender to the NXT Championship. Breeze almost had the match won after hitting Itami with the Beauty Shot, but the pin was broken up by Bálor, who then hit Breeze with the Sling Blade, but before Bálor could go for the Coup de Grace, he was knocked off the top rope and out of the ring by an enzuigiri from Itami, who subsequently hit Breeze with the Shotgun Kick for the victory.*

Bayley & Charlotte def. Dana Brooke & Emma. Charlotte won the match for her team, pinning Emma after a Natural Selection.

Baron Corbin def. Rhyno. As expected, this match was an all-out brawl, and Corbin won after hitting Rhyno with the End of Days.

Blake & Murphy def. Colin Cassady & Enzo Amore to retain the NXT Tag Team Championship. They greatly benefitted from interference from Alexa Bliss, who attacked Carmella at ringside, before pushing Amore off the top rope while the referee was distracted. After the match, Bliss left with Blake and Murphy, who lifted her onto their shoulders and allowed her to hold their titles in the air.

Sasha Banks def. Becky Lynch to retain the NXT Women’s Championship. Banks emerged victorious from the show-stealing match after making Lynch tap out to the Bank Statement. After the match, Lynch received a standing ovation from the Full Sail crowd as she made her departure.

Kevin Owens vs. Sami Zayn for the NXT Championship went to a no contest. Zayn and Owens fought around the arena, Zayn getting the best of Owens, until a Pop-up Powerbomb into the ring apron brought the match to an abrupt end. Owens continued to beat down a helpless Zayn, defying the referees and even headbutting General Manger William Regal, until a message appeared on the big screen for Owens, reading: “Joe is coming”. The show went off the air with Owens' eyes fixed on the message, contemplating its meaning.

*In this world, Itami didn’t injure himself. Not gonna let real life mess up my plans.

It's now very common to hear people say, 'I'm rather offended by that.' As if that gives them certain rights. It's actually nothing more... than a whine. 'I find that offensive.' It has no meaning; it has no purpose; it has no reason to be respected as a phrase. 'I am offended by that.' Well, so fucking what.

JOE

If you somehow fuck Owens vs. Joe up then you should just give up. So don't fuck it up, because I don't want you to give up.

Re: Knocks Presents WWE NXT

I almost missed this, more than excited to see what you can do with an NXT brand that has all types of potential.

Especially with Joe coming.

Good luck brother, I'll be reading when I can.

Re: Knocks Presents WWE NXT

Here's the first show, a little later than anticipated, but oh well. Enjoy!

***

May 27, 2015; Winter Park, FL

The show begins with a video package recapping NXT TakeOver: Unstoppable, showing Hideo Itami defeating Finn Bálor and Tyler Breeze in a Triple Threat match to become the number-one contender to the NXT Championship, Blake and Murphy retaining the NXT Tag Team Championship against Colin Cassady and Enzo Amore after interference from Alexa Bliss, Sasha Banks retaining the NXT Women’s Championship against Becky Lynch, and finally Kevin Owens fighting Sami Zayn to a no contest for the NXT Championship after the match was stopped following a Pop-up Powerbomb by Owens into the ring apron, continuing to assault Zayn and even headbutting General Manager William Regal, before a message appeared for Owens on the big screen, reading: “Joe is coming”.

After that, the opening credits play and the camera cuts into Full Sail University, where the fans are chanting “NXT!”. Rich Brennan welcomes us to the show, hot off the heels of TakeOver.

***FIGHT*** The NXT Champion Kevin Owens walks out, getting a mixed reaction from the crowd. Wearing a ‘KO’ shirt and black pants with his title over his shoulder, Owens slowly walks down the ramp and steps into the ring, taking a microphone before walking into the middle of the squared circle.

Kevin Owens: Last week at TakeOver…

Owens pauses, noticing the noise that the crowd is making, and waits for them to quieten.

Kevin Owens: Last week at TakeOver… I did exactly what I said I was going to do. I made good on my promise… and once and for all… I destroyed Sami Zayn.

Boos from the crowd.

Kevin Owens: And I made sure… that Sami will never set foot in a NXT ring ever again.

More boos from the crowd.

Kevin Owens: But as much as I’d like to reminisce about last week… I didn’t come out here tonight to talk about Sami Zayn. Sami Zayn is in the past, where he belongs. After all, the future is now in NXT, and my future… is doing exactly what I did to Sami last week to Hideo Itami when I defend my NXT Championship against him.

Mixed reaction from the crowd.

Kevin Owens: Y’see, two weeks ago, I was in the back watching the show just like everybody else… and Hideo Itami, just like Finn Bálor, just like Tyler Breeze, was asked if he would rather face Kevin Owens or Sami Zayn for the NXT Championship. And without hesitation, without even having to think about it, Hideo said he’d rather face me, purely because according to Hideo… I’m a (airquotes) “bad person”.

Owens rubs his jaw, smirking.

Kevin Owens: And lo and behold, last week at TakeOver, Hideo defeated Finn Bálor and Tyler Breeze, and became the number-one contender to the NXT Championship!

Cheers from the crowd.

Kevin Owens: Now I know that the English language isn’t your strong suit, Hideo… but I know that what you said wasn’t a mistake, and now that you’re my next challenger… you’re gonna have to pay for it. Because number one… nobody in their right mind should want to step into this ring with me, because everybody that has stepped into this ring with me… has gotten hurt.

A brief "kill, Owens, kill!" chant starts up.

Kevin Owens: And number two… from day one, since the day I came to NXT, I made it crystal clear that I do this for my family, so my wife and two kids can have the life they deserve, and I’ve proven that I will do whatever it takes to give that to them. So when somebody says that I’m a “bad person”, when somebody questions my integrity, I take it pretty damn personally! What I did to Sami Zayn? That wasn’t even personal… so just imagine what I can do to you.

Mixed reaction from the crowd.

Kevin Owens: Last week, I fought Sami for this NXT Championship, and now he’s never going to set foot in this ring again. And after the day comes when we fight for this NXT Championship, Hideo… neither are you.

Mixed reaction from the crowd.

Kevin Owens: Oh, and before I leave, one more thing, I almost forgot. As far as “Joe is coming” goes…

Big pop from the crowd.

Kevin Owens: … if you are who I think you are, Joe… then I never had you down as the type to play mind games. But hey, I don’t blame ya’ for taking your time. So whenever you do decide to show up… I’ll be right here waitin’ for ya’, bud.

With that, Owens goes to leave the ring… ***REGALITY*** when the General Manager, William Regal, walks out! Looking in a foul mood, Regal storms down to the ring and takes a microphone, getting in Owens’ face straight away.

William Regal: Were you planning on explaining what the bloody hell the matter with you was last week?!

Owens looks puzzled as to what Regal is talking about.

Kevin Owens: What is there to explain?

William Regal: Have you lost your mind, sunshine?! Not only did you refuse to stop your assault on Sami Zayn, you headbutted your General Manager! I ought to strip you of that NXT Championship right now!

Not looking fazed one bit, Owens glances at his title over his shoulder.

William Regal: However… that is a measure I shall not be taking.

Mixed reaction from the crowd, as Owens laughs.

William Regal: The NXT Universe wants to see Kevin Owens defend the NXT Championship against Hideo Itami, and that’s exactly what they’re going to get!

Cheers from the crowd.

William Regal: But that does not mean that you won’t face consequences for your actions last week, Kevin. And it is with that in mind that I inform you that next week, you’re going to have a match!

More cheers from the crowd, as Owens looks content with that announcement.

William Regal: You need to be taught a lesson, so in our main event next week on NXT, it will be the NXT Champion, Kevin Owens, going one on one with… ME!

Huge cheers from the crowd, as Owens smirks.

Kevin Owens: With all due respect, Mr. Regal, that is a… really bad idea. You’re healthy, you’ve got a great job, and if you wanna put that at risk just to teach me a lesson, then go ahead. But that's exactly what Alex Riley tried to do when he left that announce table to fight me, and look where he is now! And y’know what? Headbutting you last week… felt pretty damn good. And it was exactly what happens to people who put their hands on me, which by the way, is what you did, so if you ask me, you had it coming.

The camera focuses on the look of sheer disdain on Regal's face.

Kevin Owens: But as far as people who step into the ring with me goes… that’s a whole different story. Because if you think I hurt you last week… then you have no idea… what you’ve got coming next week.

Owens drops the microphone and winks at a scowling Regal, before leaving the ring as his music hits.

***SUPERHUMAN*** The lights go out in the arena and spotlights beam down on the stage as Baron Corbin walks out, getting a mixed reception from the crowd. Corbin makes his way down the ramp and enters the ring, taking a microphone.

Baron Corbin: Last week at TakeOver… I showed Rhyno and the entire NXT Universe… that there is only one unstoppable force in NXT.

Mixed reaction from the crowd.

Baron Corbin: And if there’s anybody left that doubts that… then whoever they are, they can come down to this ring right now… and find out for themselves.

Corbin drops the microphone and waits for somebody to answer his challenge… ***MASS APPEAL*** and after several moments, SOLOMON CROWE walks out with a microphone!

Solomon Crowe: Baron, Baron, Baron. I know what you’re thinking, big guy, and yeah, you already beat me two weeks ago… but that doesn’t mean for a second that I don’t think I can beat you! So what do you say we pick up where we left off?!

The crowd cheer as Crowe removes his jacket, drops his microphone and sprints down the ramp, entering the ring and immediately taking the fight to Corbin!

1 - Baron Corbin vs. Solomon Crowe

Crowe catches Corbin off guard at the start of the match and gets in a lot of early offense, but Corbin soon shuts him down and takes control of the contest. Crowe doesn’t back down an inch though, and does some damage at every opportunity afforded to him, but unfortunately for ‘The Honey Badger’ there aren’t many opportunities against Corbin. Crowe manages to avoid being hit by the End of Days when Corbin goes for it, but afterwards he is clotheslined over the top rope and out of the ring by ‘The Lone Wolf’.

Corbin hits Crowe with some open-handed chops up against the guardrail on the outside, before lifting him onto his shoulder and charging towards the steel ringpost, looking to send Crowe face-first into it, but at the last second Crowe slips off Corbin’s shoulder and pushes him into the ringpost! Crowe then grabs a groggy Corbin by the head, and throws him into the guardrail! With the referee having just counted seven, Crowe rolls back into the ring as Corbin recovers on the outside. Corbin slowly moves towards the ring, but before he can get back in the ring, the referee reaches the count of ten! Solomon Crowe wins via countout!

Winner via countout - Solomon Crowe @ 4:24.

He did it! Crowe gets to his feet and has his hand raised by the referee to loud cheers from the crowd, having just defeated Corbin, albeit via countout. Crowe’s post-match celebration doesn’t last very long though, as Corbin enters the ring, charges forward and flattens Crowe with a big boot! The crowd boo, as Corbin unloads on Crowe with stomps before lifting him back to his feet. Before he can proceed any further… ***TUSK*** RHYNO COMES RUNNING DOWN TO THE RING!

The crowd explodes with cheers as Corbin drops Crowe and faces the onslaught of Rhyno, who slides into the ring and immediately unloads on Corbin with right hands! Corbin fights back with rights of his own, and the two powerhouses go at it in the ring, until Rhyno eventually forces Corbin backwards into the ropes, charges forward, AND CLOTHESLINES CORBIN OVER THE TOP ROPE AND OUT OF THE RING! Corbin gets to his feet, and after seeing Rhyno standing tall and Crowe now on his feet, he elects to make his departure, albeit with a scowl on his face. Rhyno then grabs Crowe’s hand and raises it in the air to cheers from the crowd as the victor’s music hits.

In a post-match interview from NXT: TakeOver Unstoppable last week, Renee Young is stood with Bayley and Charlotte.

Renee Young: Bayley, Charlotte, earlier tonight at NXT TakeOver: Unstoppable, you defeated Dana Brooke and Emma. How are you guys feeling?

Bayley: I feel great right now, Renee. You know how I feel about Emma, and it’s about time that Dana found out what it was like to lose.

Charlotte nods in agreement.

Bayley: All I want now is to get Emma one-on-one in that ring one more time, I can move on and focus on becoming the NXT Women’s Champion.

Charlotte: You saw what a sore loser Dana is after the match, Renee, and I’d love to have the chance to make her feel like that again. But more importantly, I want that NXT Women’s Championship back from Sasha Banks. As great as it was teaming with you tonight, Bayley, if I have to go through you to get another match with Sasha… I will.

All of a sudden, the mood becomes tense.

Charlotte: But until then… let’s keep celebrating.

Bayley and Charlotte both smile, although they both look a little uneasy doing so, and they hug before leaving together.

***VOIX DE VILLE*** The screen becomes black and white, the lights go out, a man in a white suit appears on the big screen brandishing a loudspeaker and exclaims “Gather ‘round everyone and witness the debonair devastation of such exquisite sophistication!” Spotlights shine down on the stage, and look who it is, it’s The Vaudevillains! Making their first appearance on TV in a while, Aiden English and Simon Gotch get a good reception from the NXT faithful as they shake hands before making their way down the ramp and into the ring, where Elias Samson & Mike Rallis are waiting for them.

2 - The Vaudevillains vs. Elias Samson & Mike Rallis

I won’t waste your time; this match is all about The Vaudevillains. Making their return to television (or whatever device you choose to watch the WWE Network on), Aiden English and Simon Gotch look thoroughly impressive against Samson and Rallis, and finish Samson off with a rolling fireman’s carry slam by Gotch, followed by a senton bomb from English for the victory.

Winners - The Vaudevillains @ 3:14.

English gets to his feet and he and Gotch raise each other’s hands in the air to cheers from the crowd. The duo take a bow, and then shake each other’s hands and flex their free arms before leaving the ring.

Devin Taylor is stood backstage with the NXT Women's Champion, Sasha Banks.

Devin Taylor: Sasha Banks, last week at NXT TakeOver: Unstoppable, you and Becky Lynch stole the show. But in the end, you came out on top and retained your NXT Women’s Championship.

Sasha Banks: ‘Stole’ the show? (Scoffs) Devin… this is my show. And that’s exactly what Becky Lynch found out last week at TakeOver. Now I’ll give Becky credit, she put up a better fight than most have in that ring with me, but just like I thought, her best… just wasn’t enough. So now, we're back to everybody talking about how they want to be the next one to challenge for my title, and apparently that includes Bayley and Charlotte. Girls, I will gladly defend this title against either of you. But I don’t need to remind you, especially you, Charlotte, that no matter who’s in the ring with me… the NXT Women’s Championship… stays… with ‘The Boss’.

Banks confidently walks out of the picture, carrying her title over her shoulder.

__________________________________________________

***ACTION PACKED*** Alexa Bliss walks out with the NXT Tag Team Champions Blake and Murphy, getting heat from the crowd. Sporting new red highlights in her hair and wearing red attire matching that of Blake and Murphy, Bliss blows a kiss out of her hands whilst stood between her men on the stage before walking to the ring, the trio posing on the ring apron.

***THE PRICE IS RIGHT*** A cult favourite of the NXT faithful, Blue Pants makes her way out to a big pop from the crowd. Blue Pants makes her way down the ramp, playing to the crowd, and dances along to her theme song upon entering the ring.

3 - Alexa Bliss w/NXT Tag Team Champions Blake & Murphy vs. Blue Pants

In this match, Bliss displays a vicious side of her which the NXT Universe hasn’t seen before, which can be attributed to her new affiliation with the NXT Tag Team Champions, Blake and Murphy. Blue Pants, a friend of BAMF's rivals, Colin Cassady and Enzo Amore, has the support of the crowd firmly with her, and she puts up a good fight, getting in a decent amount of offense. It was always going to be Bliss coming out on top in this one though, and she does, putting Blue Pants away with a Sparkle Splash for the victory.

Winner - Alexa Bliss @ 3:01.

Bliss gets to her feet and has her hand raised by the referee to heat from the crowd. Blake and Murphy then enter the ring and raise both of Bliss’ hands, before the trio happily exit the ring together.

Greg Hamilton is stood backstage with Finn Bálor.

Greg Hamilton: Finn Bálor, last week at NXT TakeOver: Unstoppable, you faced Hideo Itami and Tyler Breeze in a NXT Championship Number-One Contender’s match. While you weren’t pinned, you were not victorious, and Hideo Itami will go on to challenge Kevin Owens for the NXT Championship. What’s on your mind right now?

Finn Bálor: First of all, Greg, I’d like to take the opportunity congratulate Hideo on his victory last week. Things got a little tense between us leading up to our match, but he’s still a good friend of mine, and just like everybody else, I hope he takes that NXT Championship from Kevin Owens. As for Finn Bálor's future, I-

Bálor is interrupted when Tyler Breeze walks into the picture, sporting his trademark vain look on his face as he looks at his phone before directing his gaze towards Bálor.

Tyler Breeze: I wouldn’t get your hopes up about Hideo, Finn. He’s not gonna take that NXT Championship from Kevin Owens. But if anybody can… it’s ‘The King of Cuteville’. And I was this close to winning last week and becoming the number-one contender. I had Hideo beat… but you stopped me, Finn… and I’m not gonna forget it.

Bálor and Breeze have a brief staredown, making Hamilton uncomfortable, until the latter walks out of the picture. After Bálor has left as well, Tye Dillinger walks into the picture, holds up a sign with the number 4 on it, shakes his head, and leaves.

__________________________________________________

***LOOK*** Jason Jordan walks out, not getting much of a reaction from the crowd. Jordan makes his way down the ramp with a smirk on his face, steps into the ring and takes a microphone.

Jason Jordan: In case any of you have forgotten who I am… my name is Jason Jordan. Got it? Good, because this is a face… that you’ll all need to remember. Y’see, everybody knows that if you wanna be a star in the WWE, and I mean a huge star, then you need to have… ‘the look’. Seth Rollins has the look.

Heat for Rollins.

Jason Jordan: Roman Reigns has the look.

Mixed reaction for Reigns.

Jason Jordan: John Cena? You’re damn right he has the look.

Heat when Cena is mentioned.

Jason Jordan: Y’know, they say the future is now in NXT, but I look around that locker room, and the only future that I see in NXT… is in the mirror. I’m six-foot-three, two-hundred-and-thirty-five pounds, and I’m the most legitimate athlete on this roster. Hell, I’d even say I’m the most athletically-gifted Jordan in the history of sports!

Jason Jordan > Michael Jordan.

Jason Jordan: You have your Total Divas, and now… you have your total Superstar. And if any of you wanna see him, all you have to do… (points thumb to himself) is look.

Jordan drops the microphone and outstretches his arms in a pose, signifying that he’s ready for action against Axel Tischer, who is already in the ring.

4 - Jason Jordan vs. Axel Tischer

Similar to The Vaudevillains’ match earlier, this purely serves to showcase the talents of Jason Jordan. The cocky upstart is in control for the entirety of this short match, showcasing his exceptional amateur wrestling skills, and finishes Tischer off with the Jordan Slam for the victory.

Winner - Jason Jordan @ 1:56.

Jordan gets to his feet and has his hand raised by the referee, getting heat from the crowd. Jordan outstretches his arms before leaving the ring, looking very happy with himself after that convincing victory.

__________________________________________________

Spoiler for COMING SOON:

__________________________________________________

***MAN WITH A PLAN*** The Brian Kendrick walks out, getting cheers from the crowd. Wearing a white jacket over his ring gear, Kendrick waves his arms around as he jogs down the ramp and enters the ring, running around in a circle with his arms outstretched.

***TOKIWAKITA*** Hideo Itami walks out to a big pop from the crowd. Itami points his fingers to the sky before making his way down the ramp, entering the ring and pointing to the sky again.

5 - The Brian Kendrick vs. Hideo Itami

Itami faces his first challenge as number-one contender to the NXT Championship, in the form of a veteran making his return to NXT, The Brian Kendrick. In what is by far the most competitive match of the night, Itami and Kendrick work well together, providing some fast-paced action for the NXT Universe, and Kendrick takes Itami to the limit, getting some near falls. The match comes to an end when Kendrick grabs Itami by the head, runs up the ropes in the corner and goes for the Sliced Bread #2, but Itami slips out of it, and Kendrick lands on his feet behind him after backflipping.

As soon as Kendrick hits the mat, he runs at Itami, who ducks a clothesline attempt, grabs Kendrick, lifts him up and hits him with a Fisherman Buster! Itami then gets straight back up and gets Kendrick to his feet. He Irish whips Kendrick into the ropes, before running off the ropes behind him, charging towards the incoming Kendrick, and nailing him with the Shotgun Kick! Itami makes the cover, and gets the three count, picking up the victory!

Winner - Hideo Itami @ 8:34.

Itami gets to his feet and has his hand raised by the referee to cheers from the crowd. Afterwards, Itami plays to the crowd, climbing to the second rope in the corner and motioning around his waist, indicating his intention to become the NXT Champion. However, Itami is suddenly pulled down from the top rope… by KEVIN OWENS! Owens gives Itami a kick to the mid-section before Irish whipping him into the ropes, and when Itami comes back, Owens lifts him up into the air, AND NAILS HIM WITH A POP-UP POWERBOMB!

Owens then picks up his NXT Championship and stands over Itami, raising it in the air with a grin on his face… when music starts to play, and does so for a few moments, before a message appears on the big screen, the words appearing one by one: “JOE IS COMING”. Once the message has concluded, the crowd explodes with cheers, and starts to chant “Joe!” repeatedly, as Owens stares at the big screen, lowering his title, a look of concern on his face just like last week…

END OF SHOW

Pretty Good show. I like how unlike WWE, you didn't have Sami Zayn appear on NXT so he could sell his "injures".

By the way, is Jason Jordan going to be getting a push?

A few minutes before the real NXT comes on the air, here's mine! Enjoy.

June 3, 2015; Winter Park, FL

The opening credits play and the camera cuts into Full Sail University, where the fans are chanting “NXT!”, and Rich Brennan welcomes us to the show.

***BREAK AWAY*** Adam Rose walks out, getting a mixed reaction from the crowd. Wearing a red fur coat over his ring attire and looking rather sombre without his Rosebuds, Rose makes his way down the ramp and enters the ring, half-heartedly playing to the crowd upon his arrival.

***CATCH YOUR BREATH*** Finn Bálor emerges on the stage to a huge reception from the crowd. Wearing a mask covering the lower half of his face and a T-shirt over his ring gear, Bálor makes his way down the ramp, pausing several times to outstretch his arms in time with his music, and enters the ring, posing again on the second rope in the corner.

1 - Adam Rose vs. Finn Bálor

Despite being considered the favourite in this match, Bálor has his work cut out for him with Rose, and the two have a highly competitive bout to kick off this week’s NXT. At one point, it looks like Rose is closing in on the victory after hitting Finn with his trademark spinning spinebuster and transitioning into a Boston crab, but Bálor manages to hang in there and make it to the ropes.

His resilience pays dividends, as soon after that sequence, Rose goes for the Party Foul, but Bálor slips out of it, runs off the ropes and hits Rose with the Switchblade! Finn gets Rose straight back up and Irish whips him into the ropes, before charging towards him and connecting with a running dropkick! Rose falls to the mat, and Bálor rolls him over onto his back, before climbing to the top rope, and nailing Rose with the Coup de Grace for the victory!

Winner - Finn Bálor @ 5:33.

Bálor gets to his feet and has his hand raised by the referee to cheers from the crowd. Before Bálor can leave the ring though, he is jumped from behind… by TYLER BREEZE! The crowd boo as Breeze, who said he wouldn’t forget about TakeOver, knocks Bálor down to the mat and showers him with stomps. Breeze eventually lifts Bálor up to his feet, but when he does, music starts to play, and those three words appear one by one on the big screen again: “JOE IS COMING”.

The crowd goes wild, and Breeze stares at the screen in confusion as the message disappears. Meanwhile, Bálor, who has had time to regroup, runs off the ropes, and as soon as Breeze turns around Bálor hits him with the Switchblade! Bálor gets Breeze straight back up, Irish whips him into the corner, charges forward, and hits Breeze with a running dropkick! Bálor puts Breeze in position on the mat, before climbing to the top rope, as the cheers of the NXT Universe intensify. Bálor goes for the Coup de Grace… but Breeze rolls out of the way, under the ropes and out of the ring just in time!

Bálor rolls forward as soon as his feet touch the floor, and he watches on one knee as Breeze retreats up the ramp, holding the back of his head. Bálor gets to his feet and poses as his music hits again, not taking his eyes off Breeze for a second.

Devin Taylor is stood backstage with Hideo Itami.

Devin Taylor: Hideo Itami, you are now the number-one contender to the NXT Championship, but last week after your victory over The Brian Kendrick, you were attacked by the NXT Champion, Kevin Owens. What's going through your mind right now?

Hideo Itami: Like I say before, Devin… Kevin Owens is bad person. I watch him hurt my friends since he came to NXT, and last week… he tried to hurt me. But Devin, nothing he can do to me can hurt me as much as I’m going to hurt him… when I take the NXT Championship away from him. And I hope that tonight, Mr. Regal gives him what he deserves… and kicks his ass.

Having said all that needs to be said, partly in broken English, Itami walks out of the picture. After Itami has left, Tye Dillinger walks into the picture, holds up a sign with the number 2 on it, shakes his head, and leaves.

***CELTIC INVASION*** Becky Lynch walks out, getting a big pop from the crowd. Wearing the same entrance attire as she did at TakeOver, Lynch flicks her hood back and strikes her signature pose before lifting her goggles up to the top of her head and sprinting down the ramp, sliding into the ring and leaning through the ropes, posing again. Meanwhile, a new NXT Diva, Jessie, is waiting in the corner.

2 - Becky Lynch vs. Jessie

Competing in her first match since her valiant effort against Sasha Banks for the NXT Women’s Championship at NXT TakeOver: Unstoppable, Lynch squares off against Jessie, an Australian Diva making her debut. Jessie has a solid showing in her first match in NXT, especially given the quality of her opponent, and gets a decent amount of offense in against Lynch, but in the end ‘The Lass Kicker’ shows why she is among the very best, fully taking control of the contest in its closing moments, before applying a seated Fujiwara armbar, making Jessie tap out!

Winner - Becky Lynch @ 3:28.

Lynch relinquishes the hold and gets to her feet, having her hand raised by the referee to cheers from the crowd. Lynch strikes her signature pose, having returned to winning ways, and soaks in the adulation of the NXT Universe for a little while before leaving the ring.

Solomon Crowe is in the locker room, when he is approached by a smirking Jason Jordan.

Jason Jordan: Solomon Crowe. (Laughs) That was pretty bold of you answering Baron Corbin’s open challenge last week. I'll be honest, I didn’t think you’d live to tell the tale, but here you are.

Solomon Crowe: Yeah, thanks.

Jason Jordan: You’ve got guts, man. But guts can only get you so far in this business. What will take you to the top… is having the look. And right now…

Jordan examines Crowe from head to toe.

Jason Jordan: … you don’t have it. With a few changes, though, I think you could. I mean, I'd start with the hair, but that's just me. So if you need any help with becoming a real WWE Superstar, all you have to do… (points to himself) is look.

Jordan slaps Crowe on the shoulder before leaving. Once he is gone, Crowe scoffs, shaking his head.

***BELIEVE THE HYPE*** Mojo Rawley bursts out onto the stage, making his return to NXT, and receives cheers from the crowd. Rawley gets the crowd hyped up, before sprinting down the ramp and into the ring.

***TUSK*** Rhyno walks out, getting cheers from the crowd. Rhyno pounds his chest and throws his hands in the air before jogging down the ramp and entering the ring, climbing to the second rope in the corner and posing again.

3 - Mojo Rawley vs. Rhyno

It’s been a while since we’ve seen Rawley in NXT, and he approaches this match with his typical enthusiasm and intensity, immediately taking the fight to Rhyno. ‘The Man Beast’ quickly shuts down Rawley’s early offense though, and after brutalising him with a variety of slams and suplexes, Rhyno finishes Mojo off with a devastating Gore for the victory.

Winner - Rhyno @ 1:21.

Rhyno gets to his feet and has his hand raised by the referee to cheers from the crowd. As Rawley gradually makes a quiet departure, Rhyno grabs a microphone.

Rhyno: Baron Corbin…

Mixed reaction when Corbin is mentioned.

Rhyno: … we had one hell of a war at TakeOver. And I don’t know about you, but I say we do it again!

Cheers from the crowd.

Rhyno: Meet me in this ring next week, Corbin… and this time… how about we take it to the extreme?

Loud cheers from the crowd, as Rhyno drops the microphone, pounds his chest and throws his hands in the air before leaving the ring as his music hits.

__________________________________________________

Speak of the devil, Baron Corbin is watching the show on a TV in the locker room. He is approached by a microphone-wielding Greg Hamilton.

Greg Hamilton: Baron Corbin! We just saw Rhyno challenge you to a rematch next week, and he wants to “take it to the extreme”. Do you accept his challenge?

Baron Corbin: You can tell Rhyno… that I’ll be seeing him next week. And if it’s extreme he wants… then it’s extreme he’s gonna get.

Hamilton nods his head before scurrying away, as Corbin turns his attention back to the TV.

A “Vaudevillains Pictures Presents” vignette airs in black and white, titled “Gold Rush”. It describes The Vaudevillains' triumphant return to NXT last week, and in the spirit of the title of the vignette, shows Aiden English and Simon Gotch digging into the ground with pickaxes in front of an obvious green screen, until they find two poorly-made replicas of the NXT Tag Team Championships, at which point they celebrate, before shaking hands in true Vaudevillain fashion.

____________________________________________

***FIXED*** The Mechanics walk out, getting a lukewarm response from the crowd. Both wearing sleeveless denim jackets, Dash Wilder, wearing a backwards cap on his head, and Scott Dawson, wearing a bandana, make their way to the ring, where two local competitors are waiting.

4 - The Mechanics vs. Local Competitors

There isn't a whole lot to say about this match, which serves not only as a reminder to the NXT audience that The Mechanics are a tag team, but that they will be a force to be reckoned with going forward. They thoroughly dominate against their local opposition, and pick up the victory after a flapjack/double-knee facebreaker combo.

Winners - The Mechanics @ 2:16.

Dawson gets to his feet and he and Wilder have their hands raised by the referee after a very impressive showing. They both motion around their waists to the camera, signifying that they have the NXT Tag Team Championships in their sights, before leaving the ring. Once they have made their departure, Rich Brennan reveals on commentary that next week, Baron Corbin and Rhyno will meet in a No Disqualification match!

Greg Hamilton is stood on the stage.

Greg Hamilton: Ladies and gentlemen, please welcome my guests at this time… Alexa Bliss, and the NXT Tag Team Champions, Blake and Murphy!

***ACTION PACKED*** The NXT Tag Team Champions Blake and Murphy walk out with Alexa Bliss, getting heat from the crowd. All looking in high spirits, the trio approach Hamilton.

Greg Hamilton: First of all, guys, thank you for taking the time to address the NXT Universe. Blake and Murphy, you retained your NXT Tag Team Championships two weeks ago at NXT TakeOver: Unstoppable against Colin Cassady and Enzo Amore, but not without a helping hand from your new associate, Alexa Bliss. What-

Blake grabs Hamilton’s hand holding the microphone, and pulls it up to his mouth.

Blake: What are you trying to say, Greg? That Murphy and I needed Alexa Bliss to retain our NXT Tag Team Championships at TakeOver? Because if that’s what you think, then broadcast journalism clearly isn’t for you, because you obviously don’t have an eye for the facts. And the fact is, Colin Cassady and Enzo Amore never stood a chance against us.

Heat from the crowd, as Murphy nods in agreement.

Greg Hamilton: My apologies. Uh, Alexa, if you don’t mind me asking, where did this alliance with Blake and Murphy come from?

Alexa Bliss: There are two things that every woman loves, Greg. Winners… and being treated with respect. And those are two things that Carmella will never understand as long as she’s with those losers Enzo and Cass.

Heat from the crowd.

Alexa Bliss: And since she’s from Staten Island, if I was Carmella, God forbid… I wouldn’t have any respect for myself, either.

“Ohhh”s from the crowd.

Alexa Bliss: My boys Blake and Murphy, on the other hand, know how to treat a woman right, and they have the NXT Tag Team Championships to prove that they’re winners. As much as the NXT Universe loves Enzo and Cass, and wants them to be the champions… there’s one reason why that will never happen… and that’s the Blake… Alexa… and Murphy factor.

Boos from the crowd, as Bliss grabs Blake and Murphy’s hands and raises them in the air, the duo using their free hands to hold their titles aloft, to heat from the crowd. The boos soon turn to cheers though… as COLIN CASSADY, ENZO AMORE and CARMELLA walk out behind them on the stage! Eventually, Blake, Murphy and Bliss turn around to see their arch-rivals stood there, and as soon as they do, Cassady, Amore and Carmella attack!

The crowd explodes with cheers as Cassady and Amore target Blake and Murphy, whilst Carmella goes after Bliss, and Hamilton gets out of there. The action makes its way down to ringside, as Cassady, Amore and Carmella continue to dominate, and they get Bliss and the champs into the ring. Cassady Irish whips Murphy into the ropes before going for a big boot, but Murphy holds onto the ropes and then rolls underneath them and out of the ring!

After momentarily shaking off Amore, Blake runs at Cassady, who rocks him with a big uppercut which sends him staggering away into the ropes, where Murphy reaches into the ring and grabs Blake by the legs, tripping him up and pulling him out of the ring! Bliss is now alone in the ring with Cassady, Amore and Carmella. They form a line in front of a terrified Bliss, prompting her to frantically scramble away and leave the ring, reuniting with Blake and Murphy. The trio make their way up the ramp, wanting no part of their rivals tonight, as Cassady, Amore and Carmella stand tall in the ring and their music hits, whilst the crowd fervently chant “How you doin’?”

The NXT Champion Kevin Owens is pacing back and forth in the locker room, mobilising his neck whilst holding his title over his shoulder. Eventually, he stops and takes a deep breath, before walking out of the room and heading towards the ring.

***REGALITY*** The NXT General Manager William Regal walks out to a big pop from the crowd. Wearing a purple and gold robe over his ring gear, Regal waves to the crowd before making his way down the ramp and stepping into the ring, removing his entrance attire.

***FIGHT*** The NXT Champion Kevin Owens walks out, getting a mixed reaction from the crowd. Carrying his title over his shoulder, Owens marches down the ramp and enters the ring, glancing at Regal before raising his title in the air.

5 - Kevin Owens vs. William Regal

Regal comes into this match wanting to teach Owens a lesson in respect, while Owens comes in wanting to do one thing: fight. Regal shows that he’s still got it, displaying his technical wrestling prowess with an extra edge to it given the circumstances of this match, while Owens brings his usual intensity in his wrestling, but at the same time the NXT Champion has a little fun, mocking Regal on several occasions.

Regal almost picks up the victory after connecting with the Knee Trembler, which forces Owens to kick out at two-and-a-half. Fortunately for Owens, he manages to stay out of the Regal Stretch, otherwise he may have suffered his first defeat in NXT. Instead, after Regal rocks Owens with a big forearm to the head, he backs into the corner before running out to go for another Knee Trembler. However, instead of connecting with it again, Regal runs into a Pop-up Powerbomb out of no where from Owens! With that, Owens makes the cover, and picks up what must be one of the most satisfying victories of his career.

Winner - Kevin Owens @ 9:49.

Owens gets to his feet and snatches his NXT Championship out of the referee’s hands, raising it in the air with a grin on his face to a mixed reaction from the crowd. Owens steps on Regal’s chest on his way out of the ring, before making his way up the ramp and holding his title aloft once again on the stage to close the show.

END OF SHOW

Re: Knocks Presents WWE NXT

June 10, 2015; Winter Park, FL

The opening credits play and the camera cuts into Full Sail University, where the fans are chanting “NXT!”, and Rich Brennan welcomes us to the show.

***TUSK*** Rhyno walks out, getting cheers from the crowd. Rhyno pounds his chest and throws his hands in the air before jogging down the ramp and entering the ring, climbing to the second rope in the corner and posing again. Rhyno then grabs a microphone.

Rhyno: BARON CORBIN!!

Mixed reaction when Corbin is mentioned.

Rhyno: I came here tonight for a fight! And I don’t know about you, but I don’t feel like waiting around all night, so let’s do this RIGHT NOW!!

Cheers from the crowd, excited to see a brutal match-up. ***SUPERHUMAN*** Several moments later, the lights go out in the arena and spotlights beam down on the stage as Baron Corbin walks out, getting a mixed reception from the crowd. Corbin makes his way down the ramp, but before he can even make it into the ring, Corbin is attacked by Rhyno, as this No Disqualification Match abruptly gets underway!

1 - No Disqualification Match
Baron Corbin
vs. Rhyno

NXT kicks off with a bang, with a No Disqualification Match between two Superstars whose rivalry revolves solely around domination. Unlike the match of the same stipulation between Corbin and Bull Dempsey back at NXT TakeOver: Rival, this time the competitors take advantage of the lack of rules, as both Corbin and Rhyno use steel chairs and kendo sticks to assault each other with, and the action even spills into the crowd momentarily after Rhyno clotheslines Corbin over the barricade. Rhyno puts Corbin through a table with an elbow drop from the top rope, but Corbin kicks out at two-and-a-half.

The match comes to an end when Rhyno runs at Corbin, but Corbin picks up a steel chair and drives its head into the mid-section of Rhyno! Corbin then drops the chair to the mat, grabs Rhyno by the arm, pulls him in, lifts him up, and hits Rhyno with the End of Days on the steel chair! Corbin rolls Rhyno over onto his back, makes the cover and gets the victory, defeating “The Man Beast” once again!

Winner - Baron Corbin @ 8:53.

Corbin gets to his feet and ignores the referee’s attempt to raise his hand, raising it himself to a mixed reaction from the crowd. Corbin looks back at Rhyno, still lying on the mat, and smirks before leaving the ring. Once Corbin reaches the stage, music starts to play, and for the fourth week in a row, "JOE IS COMING" appears on the big screen, drawing cheers and a "Joe!" chant from the crowd. Corbin looks up at the message, and doesn't seem fazed by it, before the message disappears and Corbin walks backstage.

The NXT General Manager William Regal is sat at his desk in his office, the camera placed directly in front of him.

William Regal: Good evening, ladies and gentlemen. It is my honour to announce that on July 4th, live from Tokyo, Japan on the WWE Network, Kevin Owens will defend the NXT Championship against Hideo Itami. It’s going to be a truly historic night, and-

Regal stops when Colin Cassady, Enzo Amore and Carmella walk into his office.

William Regal: Can I help you?

Enzo Amore: Yeah, damn straight ya’ can. You saw what happened at TakeOver! Me and Cass should be carryin’ them tag team belts right now, but we ain’t, ‘cause them sweet boys Blake and Murphy have started gettin’ freaky with Alexa Bliss!

Carmella: That’s right! And after that trash she said about me last week, I wanna tear her friggin’ hair out!

Colin Cassady: Whaddaya’ gonna do about it, boss? Whaddaya’ gonna do?

William Regal: I’ll tell you what I’m going to do. I’m going to put you in the ring with Blake and Murphy next week.

Amore, Cassady and Carmella like the sound of that.

William Regal: But this time, Carmella isn’t going to be in your corner, she’s going to be in that ring with you, and Alexa Bliss will be as well with Blake and Murphy, so all six of you can get your hands on each other.

Carmella is delighted by that news.

William Regal: As far as the NXT Tag Team Championship is concerned… a victory next week would go a long way for you. I hope that’s made your journey into my office worthwhile.

Enzo Amore: ‘Ey, you the man, Bill. Good to seetch.

Colin Cassady: Yeah, real MVP.

The trio, very happy with the outcome of their meeting, leave the room. Regal looks perturbed by something.

William Regal: (Mutters) It’s William.

Regal shakes his head, before attending to some paperwork on his desk. Shoutout to the real NXT for already having this six-person tag team match on TV, BTW. Thanks, guys.

***RECOGNITION*** Charlotte walks out, getting cheers from the crowd. Charlotte outstretches arms and shouts “Woooo!” in true Flair fashion before walking down the ramp, showing the back of her “Do it with Flair” shirt over his ring attire. She handstand flips forward at ringside before entering the ring, handstand rolling backwards to her feet, as the debuting Cassie waits in the corner.

2 - Charlotte vs. Cassie

We’ve got another Australian Diva making her NXT debut this week, this time in the form of Cassie, who, like Jessie last week, has a tough task ahead of her against Charlotte. Cassie proves that she belongs in NXT in this match, not making it easy for Charlotte by any means, but the former NXT Women’s Champion is never in any real danger of losing, and eventually “The Nature Girl” puts the newcomer away with Natural Selection for the victory.

Winner - Charlotte @ 3:04.

Charlotte gets to her feet and has her hand raised by the referee to cheers from the crowd. Charlotte gives the NXT Universe another “Woooo!”, but before she can leave the ring, she is attacked… by DANA BROOKE! The crowd boo as Brooke knocks Charlotte down to the mat, hitting her with a few stomps, before getting her up, lifting her onto her shoulders, AND HITTING CHARLOTTE WITH A SAMOAN DRIVER! The boos continue as Brooke gets to her feet and poses over the fallen Charlotte, looking very pleased with herself, before leaving the ring as her music hits.

Devin Taylor is stood backstage with The Mechanics.

Devin Taylor: Dash Wilder, Scott Dawson, last week on NXT you looked very impressive in your victory. What can we expect from The Mechanics in the future?

Scott Dawson: What you can expect, Devin, is the NXT Tag Team Championships being around our waists real soon. We look around the tag team division here in NXT, and we don’t like what we see. Blake and Murphy needed a girl’s help to retain their titles at TakeOver. Enzo Amore and Colin Cassady talk more than anybody else in this place, and they have nothin’ to show for it. And The Vaudevillains? Hell, they don’t even belong in this century.

Dash Wilder: We don’t need nobody’s help, we don’t need to talk, and we don’t need no stupid gimmicks. We ain’t the flashiest, but we’re the best tag team in NXT, and as soon as we get the opportunity, we’re gonna have the NXT Tag Team Championships to show for it.

Scott Dawson: Now if you’ll excuse us, Devin… we’ve got work to do.

After fitting their new catchphrase into the interview, Dawson and Wilder make their way out of the picture. After The Mechanics have left, Tye Dillinger walks into the picture, holds up a sign with the number 3 on it, shakes his head, and leaves.

***LOOK*** Jason Jordan walks out, getting heat from the crowd. Looking overtly smug, Jordan saunters down the ramp and enters the ring, outstretching his arms before pointing his thumb to himself, as his opponent, Steve Cutler, waits in the corner.

3 - Jason Jordan vs. Steve Cutler

As was the case two weeks ago, Jordan is again the beneficiary of a squash match, serving to make him look good. “The Total Superstar” makes quick work of Cutler, looking highly impressive in the process, and hits him with a Jordan Slam for the victory.

Winner - Jason Jordan @ 1:37.

Jordan gets to his feet and has his hand raised by the referee, getting heat from the crowd. Jordan outstretches his arms in a pose before leaving the ring, having picked up another impressive victory.

Backstage, Emma is warming up for her match with Bayley later tonight, when she is approached by Dana Brooke. They both look overjoyed to see each other.

Both: Hey!

The two of them share a hug.

Emma: Nice work out there earlier, by the way. She totally had it coming.

Dana Brooke: Thanks! I just talked to Mr. Regal, and he told me that I’ve got a match with Charlotte next week!

Emma: That’s great!

Dana Brooke: Yeah! I’m gonna give TapouT something to think about after I’m done with her. I’ve gotta go, good luck against Bayley!

The two of them hug again, before Brooke leaves, and Emma resumes warming up.

The NXT Champion Kevin Owens is stood in the locker room, when he is approached by Greg Hamilton. Owens picks up his title, hoisting it over his shoulder.

Greg Hamilton: Sorry to bother you, Kevin, but we heard from General Manager William Regal earlier tonight that you will defend your NXT Championship against Hideo Itami on July 4th in Tokyo, Japan, live on the WWE Network. What are your thoughts on this?

Kevin Owens: (Laughs) Y’know, Greg… usually I’d be mad at you for coming in here uninvited, and as soon as this interview is done, I’m gonna give you five seconds to leave the room. But defending this NXT Championship against Hideo Itami, in Japan… that’s the second-best thing I’ve heard all day.

Hamilton looks perplexed by Owens saying “second-best”, but says nothing, out of fear of the NXT Champion.

Kevin Owens: I mean, it’s so perfect, I’m struggling to find the words to describe how I feel. Not only do I get to single-handedly destroy Hideo’s hopes of becoming NXT Champion… but I get to do it in JAPAN! His own backyard, where he became an international superstar. But Japan isn’t going to see the same Hideo Itami that became a star over there, no. They’re going to see Hideo Itami like they’ve never seen him before, and that’s not just defeated… but decimated… by me. And that is exactly what he deserves. Now usually, that news would make my day, but see, Greg, my day was already made… when I heard that Sami Zayn was gonna be here tonight.

Greg Hamilton: Do you have anything planned for Sami Zayn? I mean, he just had surgery on his shoulder.

Ignoring the question, Owens winks at Hamilton, before leaving the room.

***BELIEVE THE HYPE*** Mojo Rawley bursts out onto the stage, getting cheers from the crowd. Rawley gets the crowd hyped up, before sprinting down the ramp and into the ring.

***#MMMGORGEOUS*** Tyler Breeze walks out, getting a mixed reaction from the crowd. Holding his phone with his selfie stick, Breeze makes his way down the ramp, his eyes fixed on his phone, and poses on the ring apron before entering the ring, lying on the top rope in the corner opposite Rawley.

4 - Mojo Rawley vs. Tyler Breeze

Not to be disheartened by his loss to Rhyno last week, Rawley is a lot more competitive this time around, and enjoys a few spells of having the upper hand during this match, hitting some high-impact maneuvers. In the end, though, “The Hype Man” has nothing to show for it, as just when he is building up a head of steam and runs off the ropes, Breeze nails him with the Beauty Shot from out of no where! “Prince Pretty” makes the cover, and picks up the victory, avoiding an upset.

Winner - Tyler Breeze @ 4:25.

Breeze gets to his feet and has his hand raised by the referee. A smirking Breeze grabs his selfie stick and takes a selfie stood in front of the fallen Rawley, before leaving the ring.

Backstage, Bayley is warming up for her match with Emma, which is next.

__________________________________________________

Spoiler for NEXT WEEK:

__________________________________________________

***TURN IT UP*** Bayley walks out, getting cheers from the crowd as they clap along to her theme song. Wearing an “I’m a Hugger” T-shirt over her ring attire, Bayley gives air high-fives to the NXT Universe before making her way down the ramp as inflatable tube men rise from the ground, and entering the ring, air high-fiving the crowd again.

***CHEMICAL MIND*** Emma walks out with her hands on her hips, getting heat from the crowd. Emma makes her way down the ramp with a smug look on her face and enters the ring, standing opposite Bayley, who looks laser-focused.

5 - Bayley vs. Emma

The animosity between these two is evident as soon as the bell rings, at which point they get straight into the action. Emma seems to have more fun out of the two, as she takes opportunities throughout the match to mock Bayley, such as air high-fiving the crowd, but nonetheless is effective in her offense, whilst Bayley is relentless in her pursuit of victory.

Momentum swings back and forth between the two throughout the contest, but it comes to an end when Emma climbs to the top rope after hitting a discus elbow smash, and waits for Bayley to get back to her feet. Bayley gets back up, and Emma flies from the top rope, hitting Bayley with a crossbody… but Bayley rolls backwards and rises back to her feet, holding onto Emma! Emma quickly slips out of Bayley’s grasp and goes for a clothesline, but Bayley ducks it, wraps her arms around Emma, and hits her with the Bayley-to-Belly Suplex! Bayley makes the cover, and picks up a huge victory!

Winner - Bayley @ 7:17.

Bayley gets to her feet, happy to have defeated her nemesis, and has her hand raised by the referee to cheers from the crowd. Bayley leaves the ring, high-fiving as many fans as possible on her way to the back, as Emma sits up, looking incredibly disappointed.

***WORLDS APART*** Sami Zayn walks out, getting a huge pop from the crowd. Wearing a hat, T-shirt and jeans and a sling on his left arm, Zayn makes his way down the ramp and pumps the crowd up with his free arm on the steps before entering the ring. Zayn takes a microphone, but waits to speak, as the crowd chant “Olé, olé, olé, olé, olé, olé!” deafeningly, bringing a smile to his face.

Sami Zayn: Man, is somebody chopping onions in here?

The singing continues for Zayn, who looks emotional.

Sami Zayn: (Sighs) You guys have no idea how much I’m gonna miss you. And that brings me to the reason why I’m out here tonight, which is to tell you… that this is gonna be the last time you see me for a while.

Boos from the crowd, who don’t want Zayn to go away.

Sami Zayn: I tore my rotator cuff, I underwent surgery, as you can see by this pain-in-the-ass sling I’m wearing… and the surgery was a success, thankfully, but… it’s gonna be a pretty long time before I can compete again.

The crowd starts chanting “Please don’t go!”. Zayn hasn’t actually had surgery yet, since this was taped one day after TakeOver, but let’s not tell anyone that.

Sami Zayn: I wish I didn’t have to. But that’s the bad news. The good news, though, is that my shoulder is all cleaned up now. So when I do come back, I’ll be one-hundred percent for the first time in a long, long time, since before I was even in NXT. And the first thing that I’m gonna do when I come back is find Kevin Owens…

Mixed reaction for Owens.

Sami Zayn: … and kick his ass.

Big pop from the crowd.

Sami Zayn: You’re lucky my arm’s in a sling right now, Kev, ‘cause if it wasn’t, that’s exactly what I’d be doing tonight. But from this day until the day I come back, I’ll be counting down the hours, the minutes, the seconds, until I can get my hands on you and pay you back for everything you’ve done to me since you came to NXT, whether you’re still the NXT Champion by then or not!

Cheers from the crowd.

Sami Zayn: Because NXT Championship be damned, it isn’t over between us, Kev, and quite frankly, it never will be. Until then, you’ve got everybody else to worry about, because I’m hardly the only one around here who has a problem with you. And as for all of you guys…

Zayn looks at the crowd, who respond with cheers.

Sami Zayn: This isn’t goodbye. I will see you soon, and-

***FIGHT*** Zayn is cut off when the NXT Champion Kevin Owens walks out with a grin on his face. Holding his title over his shoulder, Owens walks down the ramp and enters the ring, taking a microphone and standing in front of Zayn, laughing.

Kevin Owens: Sami, Sami, Sami… I guess TakeOver wasn’t the last time these people saw you in a NXT ring, was it?

Cheers from the crowd, as Zayn shakes his head defiantly.

Kevin Owens: Yeah… that’s gonna be a problem. This whole “I’ll be back” thing might work for you, for everybody else in the back, for these people… but it doesn’t work for me.

Heat from the crowd.

Kevin Owens: Y’see, Sami, I made a promise to the world that I would destroy you at TakeOver. And having known me for as long as you have… you know better than anybody that I’m a man who keeps his promises. And at TakeOver, seeing you lying on the mat, barely able to move… it felt a lot like I did what I set out to do. I even told my son that you’re not gonna be around anymore! But yet here you are, one arm, but still standing, and telling the NXT Universe that you’re gonna come back stronger than ever and kick my ass.

More cheers from the crowd, as Zayn nods his head.

Kevin Owens: What you don’t realise though, Sami, what these people don’t realise, is that by coming here tonight, by standing in this ring and saying these things… you’ve made sure that that is absolutely not going to happen.

Heat from the crowd.

Kevin Owens: Because seeing you in this ring tells me… that I didn't finish what I started at TakeOver.

Murmurs of concern amongst the crowd.

Kevin Owens: So take a moment, Sami. Look around you. Look at all of these people’s faces. Think about the great times you’ve had in this ring. Take it all in… one last time.

And with that, out of no where, OWENS NAILS ZAYN WITH A LOW-BLOW KICK TO THE GROIN! The crowd boo as a grimacing Zayn sinks to his knees and Owens stands over him with a sadistic grin on his face, before dropping his title and microphone, and knocking Zayn down to the mat on his side with a boot to the face, followed by some vicious stomps. Owens then stops, rolls out of the ring, lifts up the ring apron… and reveals a steel chair!

The heat intensifies as Owens slides into the ring with the chair and walks over to a helpless Zayn. “You’re never coming back!”, Owens shouts at Zayn, before raising the chair in the air… ***TOKIWAKITA*** … when HIDEO ITAMI comes running down to the ring!

The crowd pops huge for Itami, who slides into the ring and gives Owens a kick to the mid-section before he can use the chair, causing him to drop it. Itami and Owens proceed to furiously trade right hands, until Owens gains the upper hand with a knee to the mid-section. Owens pushes Itami away into the ropes, looking for a Pop-up Powerbomb, but Itami holds onto the ropes, drawing Owens in, but the champ is met by a boot to the face by Itami, sending Owens staggering backwards. Itami then charges forward, looking to go for a Shotgun Kick… but Owens moves out of the way, scoops his title up and rolls out of the ring!

The crowd boo as Owens hoists his title over his shoulder and backs up the ramp, shaking his head at Itami. Itami helps Zayn up to his feet, and Sami raises Hideo’s hand in the air as the latter’s music hits, telling Owens that Itami is the next NXT Champion, whilst Owens raises his title aloft, as the show comes to a close.

END OF SHOW
