WWE.COM ‘BEHIND THE SCENES’

The wwe.com cameras picked up additional interviews this week, with both The Brotherhood and The Miz having messages for the WWE ‘Universe’…

*Oh, and I’m pretty much stealing 619IDH feature, but giving it a different title …because then, no one will notice …*

***
Backstage at Raw, Theodore Long is pacing, back and forth - moments after he was talked into a 5 on 5 Survivor Series elimination match, where not only will The Brotherhoods existence be at stake, but Theodore Long himself must get involved.

JTG: Oh man, yo, we got played out der’ tonight dawg.

JTG is slumped up against the wall, head down in anger, whilst the quiet force of Mark Henry intently watches Shelton Benjamin, with Alicia Fox rubbing the chest of the Black Diamond, soothing the former Intercontinental Champion.

Theodore Long: Dat boy made us out to be damn fools. Dat Matt Harday think he so damn smart, backing tha Brothahood into a corna like this?? Y’know what this is playas?? It’s another damn conspiracy from the man, passed down to the chosen white boy champion to implement!!

Henry continues to stare through Benjamin, whilst Monty Brown nods his head, listening to the preacher, Long.

Theodore Long: Well, lemme holla playas, never fear, because through hell or high water, you better believe I’ll think of somethin’ before Survivor Series.

Now, Benjamin can feel the eyes of Henry staring upon him, and turns, with a questionable look on his face.

Shelton Benjamin: Hey, Mark … you got something you wanna get off your chest?

Henry exhales, and steps forward, prodding a finger in Sheltons chest, before matter of factly talking to Benjamin.

Mark Henry: We wouldn’t be in this damn mess if it weren’t for you.

Benjamin rips his sunglasses off, irate with the suggestion.

Mark Henry: We all bust our asses for you in the Cage, and ya still screwed up. You failed to live up to your end of the bargain. We’ve all had to take a damn backseat and let you be the star of this group, and I’ve just done bout had enough of watching you piss away everything we’ve worked for our asses for.

The Black Diamond shakes his head.

Shelton Benjamin: What?? You don’t think I’m up to it??

Mark Henry: Alls I’m sayin is, you got us in this mess. Now, we’ve all gotta put this group at stake … Teddy has to get involved … all for your benefit?? Whole thing stinks if you ask me. You aint bigger than this group.

Theodore Long steps in to dissolve the tension.

Theodore Long: Now playas, lets just cool off, ya feel me. Last thing we wanna do is implode, because that’s exactlay what that damn Hardy wants.

With Brown patting his back, Henry decides to step back.

Mark Henry: Just so long as you know, boy. This is all on your head, Shelton. And come Survivor Series, you’d better perform, cause I’m sicka carryin yo ass.

That comment sends Benjamin over the top.

Shelton Benjamin: Carrying me?? Hey, where was this group before I joined it?? I didn’t see no Intercontinental Champions before I jumped on board. You don’t need to worry about me carrying my end at the Survivor Series. All it was, was a bad night at Nemesis. I’m good enough to win back the Intercontinental title- hell, I’m World Championship material-

Benjamin stops for a moment, and thinks.

Shelton Benjamin: Hell, screw that, I’ll go prove it. I’m gonna go see Bischoff and I’m gonna tell him I want a piece of Christian next week. Then we’ll see who carries who.

Shelton brushes past Henry, storming out of the dingy room, with Alicia running out after him, calling his name. Henry - unmoved - just looks to the door, saying nothing.

Fade.

Holding up a hand held camera, the face of The Miz fills the screen, with the reality TV star breathing heavily.

The Miz: I … am still … undefeated.

No, he’s not. He’s lost - more than once.

The Miz: Tonight, Rey Mysterio took advantage of an injured man. I shouldn’t have had to even compete … yet, because of the warrior I am, I showed up here tonight, for all my Mizfits, even to my own detriment.

Holding his neck in pain, Miz speaks again.

The Miz: As far as I’m concerned, tonight’s result should be stricken from the record books, and Rey Mysterio should be fined and suspended for taking advantage of an injured co-worker. He could’ve caused me a career ending injury.

Wincing, Miz pauses for a second, then starts again.

The Miz: But fear not, Mizfits … for I will recover, and I will bounce back, better than ever … and still … undefeated.

Once more, Miz groans, before eyeing the camera one last time.

The Miz: (Weakly) Hoo-rah.

Clicks the handheld camera off.

Anyways, just a few minor things written, I wont do these too often, just as I see fit - plus, it‘ll give me a bit of practice in writing promos, because, well, it‘s been a while. On another note, I’ll continue to rattle through posting these shows more quickly than usual. They’re just sitting gathering dust at the moment, and the Survivor Series is completed with the matches pretty much in full detail, but I haven’t written the promos out for the show, just.

Look out for Raw in a couple of days time.

Default Re: Being The Booker

Monday Night Raw | October 22 2007 | New Orleans LA

Highlights package of last weeks main event contract signing, which saw the anticipated Christian vs. John Cena rematch at Survivor Series scrapped, and changed to a triple threat match - featuring Umaga as a third man, following the controversial finish to the Nemesis main event.

NO Opening Video

NO Pyro

The show opens up, cold in the arena, with the rabid fans in ‘Nawlins’ loud and raucous for the first show in the city since WrestleMania week …

**JUST CLOSE YOUR EYES**

And the volume rises, with the World Heavyweight Champion - who captured the title in THIS city seven months ago - making his entrance, pounding his chest as always, looking happy as he perhaps evokes memories of his last time in the city. J.R and Coach note that Christian meets Shelton Benjamin tonight - at the request of Benjamin - in the main event, before they hype the Survivor Series main event, and throw out the statistic that the last THREE champions to have won a World Title at WrestleMania and hold it through to Survivor Series and defend the title (Hulk Hogan WM VII, Bret Hart WM X & Shawn Michaels WM XII) have gone on to lose the title at Survivor Series.

Once in the ring, Christian soaks up the cheers, asking the fans to “excuse me for a moment while I drink this in.” He smiles, and naturally reminds the fans that seven months ago he walked into the Superdome at WrestleMania with a dream, “and seven months later, I’m right back in the Big Easy, STILL living my dream!!” He then briefly talks about the challenges he’s overcome since winning the title, focusing mainly on beating Umaga at Summerslam against the odds, cheekily adding with a smirk, “Yeah, trust me, I‘m never gonna stop bangin that drum.”

Christian then moves on, stating that he faces an even bigger mountain at Survivor Series in the form of an unpredictable triple threat match, reminding the fans that he doesn’t need to be pinned to lose the title, “but not only that, the two challengers are both hell bent on taking THIS away from me.” Christian goes over John Cenas quest to recapture the title he lost at WrestleMania, plus Umagas desire to be champion too, bluntly and honestly telling the fans “my back is against the wall come November 11 … but that’s in three weeks …”

And, with that, Captain Charisma turns his attention … to the announce table. He looks out and points to the floor, telling the fans “tonight, I got a personal matter to deal with.” Christian reminds everyone of the set up two weeks ago by Armando Estrada, which saw Coach and his bodyguard Big Zeke lay Christian out, with the champ asking (in that general direction) “Did you think I‘d forgotten??” Coach gulps, as J.R enjoys seeing the colour commentator squirm, asking him to “answer the man, Coach”, with Coach looking to the stoic Big Zeke for assurance. In the ring, Christian tells the pair, “Hey, I don’t care which of you it is. But Coach, either you, or (points at Zeke) pumped up Coach had better step in here and f-”

**SOMEBODIES GONNA GET IT**

Interestingly, it’s an interruption from The Brotherhood. The six piece group walk onto the stage, with Christian turning his attention to them. Theodore Long - with a smile - greets the fans with his usual shtick, but Christian soon looks to put a stop to it, as he bellows “Hey, Teddy, why don’t you ‘holla’ right on back to the locker room. I‘m in the middle of some business here.” Long doesn’t take the hint though, and tells Christian he’s here to give him some “friendly warning”, telling the champ that he should be focused on his match with Shelton Benjamin tonight “instead of picking on a commentator like some school bully.”

That gets a smirk from Christian, who tells Long “you know, I‘m gonna miss hearing your voice after Survivor Series, Teddy.” “Why‘s dat?? You goin somewhere playa??” is the quick response from the confident mouthpiece of the Brotherhood, but Christian shakes his head, telling Long, “I‘ll be right here, Teddy. But you, and the rest of the Jackson Five are gonna be extinct.” Then, in a shot aimed at Benjamin, he points up the ramp, noting, “And let’s be honest - any group that’s shining light bases his look on Simon Phoenix or Sisqo DESERVES to be disbanded”

Benjamin is furious, and points at his yellow hair, mouthing “That‘s not funny”, whilst Alicia Fox rubs his back, telling him not to listen. Long cuts in, telling Christian he’s got a smart mouth, “but you wont be feelin so smart later tonight when Tha Black Diamond puts a beatin on ya, playa. And as for tha Survivor Series, The Brotherhood WILL be victorious … and the only thing that‘ll be extinct is your World Heavyweight Championship reign. Ya feel me??” In the ring, Christian nods, stating that “we‘ll have to wait and see about that.”

Christian then throws out the challenge - not to wait until later, but to have the match now, adding at the end, “do you feel me … player??” On the stage, Long smirks, but declines the invite, seemingly happy to have irritated the champion for now - completing his goal it appears, telling Christian that he can wait until later, and adding a quip that Christian should relish all the main events he can get, “because that gravy train is comin to a halt very, very soon, playa. We‘ll holla at ya later - champ.”

Long then leads his group back again, through the curtain, as Christian watches … WHILST WE SEE BIG ZEKE CLIMBING INTO THE RING … and he charges at Christian when the champion turns around, but Christian ducks the charging bodyguard, then side steps him on the return, and uses the big mans momentum to HURL him over the top rope, back to the outside!!!!! Christian stands tall in the ring, whilst Big Zeke collects himself, with Coach calling off his bodyguard, wanting him to stay on the outside and not engage further with the World Champion. Christian stands his ground, challenging the big man to get into the ring with him again, as we fade out to the first commercial of the evening.

Commercial Break

Match 1 | SIX PERSON, INTERGENDER TAG TEAM MATCH:
TNT & Maryse vs. East Coast Party Boys & Maria
In the early going, J.R and Coach use the time to shill what’s to come tonight, with Match 4 in the Best of 5 Series between Mickie James and Beth Phoenix for the Womens Title, plus a meeting between Rey Mysterio and Mr. Kennedy, and finally, Cody and Dustin Rhodes will go one on one, whilst The Brotherhood pull double duty with Shelton Benjamin of course meeting Christian, and JTG & Monty Brown take on Matt Hardy and his first team mate at the Survivor Series. The bigger, stronger pair of Test and Tomko are in control, much like last week, but Ryder and Hawkins again battle back into contention.

The action breaks down, and the four men pairing off, with Test and Hawkins battling to the outside, leaving Tomko and Ryder in the ring, while Maria stands on the apron - as does Maryse. Tomko misses a big boot, and Ryder connects with his own finisher - The Rough Ryder - but cant get a cover. Both men are down, and Maria looks around tamely, unsure what to do … but makes a blind tag on Ryder, making herself (and Maryse) legal … but being dim, she doesn’t realise that, and instead looks to pin Tomko … but the French Canadian diva comes from behind, surprising Maria and rolling her up … 1...2...3!!!!!
Winners: Maryse & TNT @ 04:01

The winning run continues for the trio of Test, Tomko and Maryse. Maria looks stunned by the count, on her knees, arms spread wide, while Maryse exit’s the ring, being greeted by Test, whilst Tomko follows out - looking worse for wear, but congratulates Maryse also. In the ring, the ECPB regroup, helping Maria to her feet, as she apologises for screwing up, before the camera focuses back on the winning trio…

And, backstage, Matt Striker is standing by - with SHAWN MICHAELS!!! The fans pop for HBK, who smiles at the reaction, before Striker gets to business, noting that Shawn Michaels requested the interview time to reveal the final member of his Survivor Series team, and asks Michaels the question; “Who is he??” Shawn continues to look jovial, stating that the man he’s picked isn’t the biggest name on the Raw roster - yet - “but in the last couple of months he’s shown all the qualities needed to make it, and make it BIG!!”

The Showstopper even says that the ‘kid’ has shown some flashes of a “young, fuller haired HBK”, and that he is taking a risk, “but it‘s a risk worth taking”, introducing … KEN DOANE as the seventh member of the Survivor Series team. Michaels then brings Doane into the equation, putting an arm around the young talent, reminding Striker that Doane is only 21 years old, with his whole career ahead of him, and he’s going to give him some invaluable experience come Survivor Series … just as an exasperated Eric Bischoff interrupts proceedings.

Bischoff, clearly having just stormed from his office upon hearing the news, rudely asks Michaels - right in front of Doane - “Is this a joke??” Bischoff chews out HBK for handing Doane the spot “for experience”, reminding Michaels that his job is at stake, and “I cant afford passengers on the team.” Bischoff then suggests to Michaels that he had already earmarked either Paul Burchill or Cody Rhodes for the final spot on the team, before finally acknowledging Doane, telling the youngster, “Your services are no longer required. You can run along now.”

Shawn looks livid at Bischoff, and finally looks to have reached breaking point, telling the GM, “I‘ve had it” stating that from the minute he was named team captain, his life has been a living hell; barred from competing in the ring, unable to put together the team HE wanted to put together, having his hands tied at every turn by Eric’s meddling … “so I‘ll make it real easy for you Eric. You want Burchill or Cody Rhodes?? How about you put them BOTH in the team. I quit.” Instantly, Bischoff is rattled, not letting Michaels walk off, grabbing him by the arm.

The GM backtracks, worried he’ll lose the captain of the team, and stumbles over his words a little, but states that he didn’t realise that Shawn felt so strongly. Trying to think of a compromise, Eric then proposes that Doane earns his spot on the team, by beating Paul Burchill - tonight. Standing by, Doane hears the proposal, and answers for Michaels, stating “You got it.” Bischoff waits for a response from a still angry Michaels, who nods in agreement. Eric then smiles, and leaves the scene, confident that Burchill will defeat Doane later. Michaels then turns to Doane, telling the youngster bluntly, “Prove him wrong, kid. And, uh … don’t let me down.”

**VIDEO PACKAGE**

The video opens very cinematically, in black and white, inside a mansion, and the first thing we see is a crying Melina. Sobbing, she calls out;

Melina: CHRISTIAN!!!

She runs down the stairs.

Melina: CHRISTIAN!! CHRISTIAN!!

Melina runs, catching up with Christian at the front door of the house. Wearing a ridiculous fake moustache, imitating Clark Gable in ‘Gone With The Wind’, Christian turns, with Melina grabbing his arm.

Melina: If you go … where shall I go, what shall I do??

Cheesing it up, Christian pauses.

Christian: Frankly my dear … I don’t give a damn.

He walks out the door, then turns back.

Christian: I’m going to Survivor Series - and that’s how I roll.

He turns again, and walks off into the smoke, leaving Melina to sob by the door.

Melina: There must be some way for me to go!!

The Survivor Series logo then flashes across the screen.

Narrator: On November 11, the WWE presents Hollywoods Biggest Blockbuster of 2007 … The Twenty first annual SURVIVOR SERIES!!! And the WWE superstars are tearing up the script!!

WWE SURVIVOR SERIES | NOVEMBER 11 | LOS ANGELES CA

The Brotherhood duo of JTG and Monty Brown are in the ring, with Theodore Long alongside them, as they continue their busy night on Raw, having already appeared in the opening segment…

**LIVE FOR THE MOMENT**

To a big greeting, the always popular Matt Hardy hits the stage, eyeing three of the five men he’ll face at the Survivor Series, putting his Intercontinental Title up against their entire group. J.R reminds the fans that Matt teams with his first partner tonight, as speculation increases as to who it will be. Matt remains at the top of the ramp, waiting out cheers, before pulling a mic from the back of his trunks, and tells the fans that picking the first member of his team was easy … but the negotiations to allow a Smackdown superstar (guess who) to compete in a Raw match were tricky … but he was able to get Arn Anderson and Eric Bischoff to allow it happen … “so, it gives me great pleasure to introduce to you, my first team mate … MY BROTHER JEFF!!!”

**LOADED**

The reaction for Jeff (even though rarely seen on Smackdown these days) is HUGE!!! The fans look jubilant to see Matt and Jeff reunited, as we get another flashback to WrestleMania seven months ago, when The Hardys took on AMW. The brothers hug, whilst The Coach is furious on commentary, questioning how this can be allowed, and Theodore Long is just as angry. He looks around at no one in particular, angry at how a Smackdown superstar can be allowed to compete in a Raw branded match - not only tonight, but at the Survivor Series too. Long though, doesn’t have long to complain, as Matt and Jeff hit the ring, kick starting the match!!!

Match 2:
The Brotherhood w/Theodore Long vs. The Hardy Boys
Despite the crowd excitement, it’s a by the numbers win for Matt and Jeff, albeit with added intensity and zip - more passion than we’ve seen from Jeff in the last four or five months, having had to tread water on Smackdown. Despite Matt and Jeff hitting a lot of their old, familiar double team moves in the opening stages, it’s not a squash, with JTG and Monty getting their fair share of offence. But after Matt mounts a comeback to make a hot tag to his motivated brother, the pendulum swings right back in the brothers favour. Matt helps take care of Monty, and splashes to the outside to keep him down, whilst Jeff ducks a leaping JTG - who collides with Theodore Long, knocking him off the apron - and delivers his own Twist of Fate, before completing the job with the Swanton Bomb, scoring the 1...2...3!!!
Winners: The Hardy Boys @ 04:14

Matt joins Jeff, with the brothers back on song - like they’d never been apart - hitting the ground running, sending a message to the Brotherhood ahead of the 5 on 5 Survivor Series match in twenty days time. Taking a turnbuckle each, Matt and Jeff salute the fans, whilst Theodore tries to regroup his men on the outside, but looks worse for wear - the confidence no longer on show, as the future of The Brotherhood looks VERY bleak indeed…

And, backstage, Cody Rhodes - leather belt in hand - looks to be making his way towards the entrance, with the Brother vs. Brother meeting coming up next on Raw, as J.R and Coach throw to a short video package, recapping the months of abuse that Dustin has suffered at the hands of his own brother, reaching boiling point - TONIGHT - NEXT!!!

Back live, Cody is already in the ring, belt in hand - being warned by referee Jack Doan - as Dustin (to no music) is on his way to the ring, shaking his head, clearly not wanting to fight his younger sibling.

Match 3:
Cody Rhodes vs. Dustin Rhodes
The bell rings, but Dustin wont step forward, angering Cody. The younger, selfish brother orders his brother to fight - slapping Dustin across the face. Dustin doesn’t react, even as the fans chant the name “GOLD-DUST”, with Cody getting riled, yelling at Dustin “you made this happen. NOW FIGHT!!!” … and SLAPS his brother once again. Dustin tries to stop Cody, telling him he doesn’t want to fight him … but Cody has had enough … and grabs the leather belt, WHIPPING Dustin across the back with it - getting himself disqualified.
Winner: Via DQ - Dustin Rhodes @ 01:00

Dustin squirms, dropping to his knees, as Cody opens up, whipping his brother again, then hammers him, raining down with punches battering Dustin, who merely covers up to protect himself. Cody grabs the belt again, ripping the shirt off his brothers back, and whips him repeatedly, across the back … but eventually stops … AS JERRY LAWLER makes his way to the ring to stop the madness!!!

Cody retreats, backing up, and stepping out of the ring as Lawler approaches the ringside area. Rhodes shouts to Lawler “This has NOTHING to do with you, Lawler. It‘s none of your business!!!” Cody steps off the apron though, and storms off, whilst Jerry comes to the aid of the pathetic Dustin Rhodes in the ring, eyeing the brat younger Rhodes, as he angrily paces up the aisle.

Backstage, Kelly Kelly is standing by with Beth Phoenix, interviewing the Womens Champion ahead of the fourth match in the Best of 5 series between her and her arch rival, Mickie James. Touching on her first ever loss at Nemesis, Kelly asks the champion if that loss has played on her mind going into tonight’s match. Confident as ever though, Beth shakes her head, telling Kelly that Nemesis is in the past, and claims that Mickie James simply got lucky … “and anyone can get lucky … ONCE. Mickie wont get lucky twice.” Beth then goes on, claiming that she wanted to sweep Mickie 3-0, and because she ruined her perfect record, Mickie will not only lose tonight - but she’ll pay for preventing her from glory a week ago too.

Commercial Break

After the commercial a DVD plug airs for none other than the ‘retired’ Triple H, a new three disc set of The Games greatest battles … and as the commercial comes to an end, the camera pans out, to show a smirking MR. KENNEDY watching on a monitor, shaking his head … before being approached by Matt Striker for an interview ahead of his match later tonight with fellow Survivor Series team mate Rey Mysterio. Initially, Kennedy points behind himself at the television monitor, making a quick quip at Triple H’s expense, stating that “they‘ll sell anything these days, huh??” before addressing the issues raised by Striker ahead of his match with Rey tonight.

Kennedy tells Matt that he’ll have no problems teaming with Rey at the Survivor Series - “if he makes it there, that is.” before bemoaning the lack of leadership on the team from “that old goat Shawn Michaels”, stating that Team Raw is headed for disaster at the Survivor Series with Shawn at the helm, before telling Matt that even though he’s still pissed at Bischoff for caving to John Cenas demands and “costing me my title shot” he’s going to do Eric a favour and is “taking matters into my own hands - I‘m taking over this team, and I want to start by clearing out the guys we don’t need.” Making thinly veiled threats at taking Rey out of commission, Kennedy then suggests he has the perfect replacement lined up for Mysterio - The Miz.

Kennedys sidekick enters the fray now with an annoying “HOO-RAH!!”, before claiming that his ‘undefeated’ streak is still in tact despite losing last week to Rey - and he wants revenge. Claiming to be a much better team player than Rey, Miz says he should be on the team, and once Kennedy ‘disposes’ of Rey tonight, he’ll slot right into the team … alongside it’s next ‘captain’ Mr. Kennedy. Kennedy nods, taking over again, looking straight at the camera to say “And when I‘m done with Rey, when I’m done saving this Titanic, and done saving Bischoffs job, maybe - HA - yeah, MAYBE, he‘ll finally reward me with something I DESERVE. And that’s not a three disc DVD set to boost my ego. What I’m talking about - of course - would be a shot at the World … Heavyweight … Title.”

Into the arena…

Match 4 | BEST OF 5 SERIES; MATCH 4:
Beth Phoenix vs. Mickie James
*Beth leads series 2-1*
The two women put together an excellent contest - the best they’ve had yet, in a back and forth affair, getting time to go too, and it’s a step up in intensity, with the two ladies brawling outside the ring, and Beth delivers a hip toss to Mickie over the barrier in a cool spot, just as the show goes to a commercial break.

Commercial Break

And, back live, Beth is in full control, slowing the tempo down, working over Mickie, focusing on her back to play off the big hip toss before the commercial. Applying a sick looking backbreaker submission, contorting Mickies body over Beths knee, but the dogged former champion wont give in, and refuses to submit. Phoenix eventually gives up on the submission, and instead sizes up to go for the Phoenix Rising … but Mickie battles out of it to free herself - sparking a fight back!!! Landing blows and blocking attempted shots from Beth, Mickie gains momentum, rocking the champ, and races off the ropes - TAKING HER DOWN WITH A LOU THESZ PRESS, raining down blows with piston like right hands to the dominant champ!!!!

{SECOND HOUR}

Mickie, feeling the moment, gets to her feet, feeding off the rabid fans, and looks to nail the recovering Beth with the Mickie-DT … but as he leaps up, BETH HURLS HER AWAY!!!!! The scary strength of the champ gets a shrill reaction from the fans, and Beth now looks to finish Mickie, getting her up, PHOENIX RISING … NO - VICTORY ROLL … JUST LIKE NEMESIS … 1...2...NO!!!!! Beth wouldn’t be caught twice, and she escapes the pin, then looks to clock Mickie with a clothesline … but Mickie ducks under … MICK KICK!!!!! The champ is toppled, and Mickie covers … 1...2...KICK OUT!!!!! BETH KICKED OUT!!!!!

Hands over her mouth, Mickie cant believe it. She sits up, shocked that she didn’t finish Beth on that occasion, and has to go back to the well again. Sizing the champion up, Mickie looks to strike with a second Mick Kick … but she swings her leg … MISSES!!! Beth ducks, THEN CHARGES Mickie into the corner with authority!!! Taking a second to gather herself, Beth backs up, then rushes in to crush Mickie in the corner - FOOT UP!!! Beth stumbles away, holding her face, whilst the former champion pushes herself up, onto the top rope, waiting for Beth to return … MICKIE-DT CONNECTS!!!!! Mickie plants Beth, and TIGHTLY hooks the leg … 1...2...3!!!!!!!! SHE’S DONE IT AGAIN!!!!!
Winner: Mickie James @ 12:19 - Series tied @ 2-2

Given time to put together a great match, they didn’t disappoint, as Mickie comes from the brink of disaster to tie the series up at 2-2 to force a decider. Mickie has her arm raised, and leaves the ring - clearly over the moon - with her new found belief, whilst Beth slowly comes around in the ring, having been put down for a three count (not just a quick roll up) for the first time, and perhaps now, SHE will be the one to doubt herself, having lost twice STRAIGHT to Mickie James.

On commentary, J.R puts over the efforts of both women, going over the top a little by saying it wasn’t just a great womens match, but one of the best matches he’s seen on Raw in quite some time - male or female, and cant wait to see it one last time - “whenever that may be.” In the ring, Beth is sat, shaking her head, holding her head in pain, as Mickie stands at the top of the ramp, motioning 2-2, as we fade out…

In the trainers room, Dustin Rhodes is being treated for the sickening whipping he took from his younger brother earlier in the night, but sits up, telling the trainers that he’ll be okay. Just then, Jerry Lawler enters the room, carrying a box. He firstly checks on Dustin, making sure he’s okay, then tells him he needs to snap out of “whatever it is that‘s holding you back from teaching that little runt a lesson … and I think I‘ve got just the thing.” He then hands over the box to Dustin, telling him to open it, which he does. He looks inside, then puffs, shaking his head as he takes out … an old school Goldust outfit.

He looks at the uniform, with King telling him he needs to be the fun loving guy he used to be … “because you’re not half the man you used to be right now.” Dustin throws the outfit against the wall though, and yells at Lawler, “THAT‘S NOT WHO I AM ANYMORE!!!” Lawler apologises, telling Dustin he was just trying to help, but TAFKA Goldust cuts him off, telling Lawler to “butt out, and let me deal with my own problems.” Shaking his head, King mutters “if that‘s the way you want it?? Fine. I‘m done trying to help you find some guts.” Lawler then walks out, as Dustin puts his head down, punching the sides of the treatment table in anger…

**BOOYAKA 619**

Popping from under the trap door, Rey Mysterio is greeted with a big pop from the fans, ahead of his showdown with Mr. Kennedy next on Raw…

Commercial Break

Match 5:
Rey Mysterio vs. Mr. Kennedy w/The Miz
Early on, it’s noted by J.R that once again, Kurt Angle ISN’T here, not seen since losing his Gold Medal to Mysterio at Nemesis, calling into doubt his participation at the Survivor Series. With Rey and Kennedy knowing each other well from many meetings early in the year, the early stages are tentative, with both men knowing much of the others offence … but the added presence of The Miz at ringside enables Kennedy to take control eventually. Mysterio struggles to get back into the match, as Kennedy scores a number of near falls - but cant put the masked lucha down for a three.

After delivering the face wash in the corner, Kennedy sends Rey into the ropes, but Rey ducks a clothesline, AND COMES BACK TO SCORE WITH A HEAD SCISSORS!!! Ken tumbles into the ropes, and Rey quickly looks to hit the 619 … BUT KENNEDY DODGES IT!!! Rey lands on the apron, and as Kennedy distracts the ref, Miz capitalises, tripping Reys legs off the apron, with his head crashing onto the side of the apron!!! Kennedy then follows out, continuing the beat down, sending the smaller man into the steel steps with authority, before throwing him back inside, 1...2...NO!!! Kennedy continues the punishment, as the show heads off into a commercial…

Commercial Break

Back live, Kennedy pours the punishment on Rey, as we see clips from the commercial of Miz helping Kennedy stay in control. Mister Kennedy pulls Rey up in the corner, and now looks to finish the match, throwing Rey onto his shoulders, hoisting himself onto the middle rope, as he sets up for the Green Bay Plunge - BUT REY WRIGGLES OUT - AND DELIVERS AN ARM DRAG FROM THE MIDDLE ROPE!!!!! Both men are down but they start to move, with Mysterio up first, as he watches Kennedy pull himself up on the ropes … RESTING IN POSITION FOR A 619!!! Rey rushes in … AND CONNECTS!!!!! He now looks to follow up, but has to kick Miz away first, then hops up top … AND FLIES AT KENNEDY FOR A SENTON … LOW BLOW!!!!! Kennedy low blows Rey … DQ!!!
Winner: Via DQ - Rey Mysterio @ 08:57

Mysterio wins the match, but he could well lose the war, as Kennedy follows up the low blow with the MIC CHECK!!!!! Not happy with just that though … HE THEN APPLIES THE KROSSFACE!!!!! Kennedy punishes Rey, with Miz in the ring now, throwing Charles Robinson out, and stomping the defenceless Mysterio - trapped in the submission hold…

AS SHAWN MICHAELS SPRINTS TO THE RING!!!!!

The Raw team captain slides into the ring, ducking a wild clothesline attempt from the shocked reality star … comes off the opposite ropes … FLYING FOREARM TO MIZ!!!!! Michaels nips up - to a huge reaction - but he turns around … RIGHT INTO A CLOTHESLINE FROM KENNEDY!!!!! Kennedy stomps down the team captain, then turns his attention to Miz, who rolled to the outside, and tells Miz to get back in the ring. He then turns, but is tackled to the mat by HBK!!!!!

Michaels tackles Kennedy down, and Rey gets back to his feet, dropkicking Miz back off the apron, leaving Kennedy all alone. The Monday Night Juggernaut struggles back to his feet, as Michaels begins to tune up the band, looking to teach Kennedy a lesson with Sweet Chin Music … but as he lines up to deliver … MIZ TRIPS KENNEDY … AND PULLS HIM TO SAFETY!!!!! The fans boo, not getting to see Sweet Chin Music, as Miz helps his mentor away from the ring.

Kennedy, angered by the run in from HBK, turns back to face the ring, pointing to Michaels and telling him “You‘ll regret this, Shawn. You‘ll regret it.” He backs away, with Miz by his side, as Michaels shouts back to them “Like I‘d stand by and watch you replace Rey with Miz.” Michaels and Rey stand side by side in the ring, with Rey thanking the team captain for saving him tonight.

And backstage, Christian is talking with agent Dean Malenko about that very Survivor Series match, when JOHN CENA enters the picture, and instantly, tension is in the air. Cena asks Malenko to excuse him and Christian for a second, and Malenko does so, telling the champ he’ll speak to him later. Cena gets straight to the point, telling Christian that the situation they are in isn’t ideal, putting over the monstrous Umaga as a threat to them both at Survivor Series, and suggests “come Survivor Series, I think it would suit both of us to stick together, get rid of the Bulldozer, and then it‘s down to you and I to settle it.” Christian screws his face up, not enamoured with the idea, and flatly declines the offer.

“I‘ve got no problems going at it with Umaga, I‘ve done it before, and I found a way to beat him before. It‘s every man for himself. Let‘s not muddy the waters, eh??” Cena looks surprised, but accepts Christians decision, putting both hands up, telling the champ it was just an idea, “but I respect your decision. It‘s not smart, but I respect it.” Cena then gets set to walk off, but turns back, putting a hand on Christians shoulder, drawing a stare from the champ. “Hey, you got your hands full tonight with The Brotherhood. Things get messy out there … I got your back.” Again, Christian takes a long look at Cena, but shakes his head. “Look John. I‘m gonna make it real simple. I don’t want your help.”

Cena doesn’t take no for an answer though, explaining that he’s merely protecting an investment and wants Christian 100% “no excuses”,come Survivor Series. The Champ cuts Cena off though, and puts a hand on Cenas shoulder, looking to make his own point perfectly clear to Cena. “Listen. You‘re coming for my title at the Survivor Series, which in my eyes makes you the enemy. I don’t want your help, I don’t want you to watch my back, because I wont watch yours. We‘re not friends. I see you come to the ring later?? You better be ready for a fight.” Christian stands for a moment, waiting for a response - but Cena simply thinks it over, before Christian walks off, leaving Cena to stew, as he watches on, taking off his cap … thinking.

Elsewhere, a fired up Shawn Michaels returns to the backstage area, asking a random worker if they’ve seen Kennedy, but gets a shrug for a response. He continues on, before hearing a voice say “Turning into a bit of a circus, huh??” … as BROCK LESNAR - the Smackdown Team Captain - emerges. Michaels doesn’t look in the mood for any trash talk, and simply questions how Lesnar got backstage at Raw, with the grinning Iron Man asking “Would you try and stop me if I wanted backstage??” HBK doesn’t answer, but asks Lesnar what he wants instead, with the Iron Man folding his arms, telling Shawn that he’s here to see how the opposition is getting along … “and I gotta say … you‘re doing an even worse job than I thought you could.”

Michaels affords Brock a fake smile, then quips that Team Smackdown “aren‘t exactly the Brady Bunch”, but Lesnar blows it off, stating that at least the team respect the captain, and aren’t trying to overthrow him as leader, but instead simply desperate to catch his attention. Shawn nods, trying to keep his composure, telling Brock that he’s still got three weeks to turn the team into a well oiled machine, and come Survivor Series, he’ll be leading his team to victory “over the Brock Lesnar show.” Brock smirks, telling Shawn to stay positive, stating that he’s seen enough for one night … “I‘m gonna split while I can … this sinking ship could go down at any minute.” He then walks off, as Shawn watches on, looking angered.

And, we now see young Ken Doane, as he prepares for his shot at making the Survivor Series team - NEXT - taking on Paul Burchill.

Match 6 | FOR SPOT ON RAWS SURVIVOR SERIES TEAM:
Ken Doane vs. Paul Burchill w/Katie Lea Burchill
Doane is soon on the back foot following a hot start, thanks to interference from Katie on the outside. Burchill dominates with his superior strength, putting a beating on Doane, testing the will of the 21 year old. Doane fights back though, showing how much he wants the spot on the team - to little fanfare from the fans, given the bland, cookie cutter nature of the youngsters persona at present. He scores a couple of near falls, but nothing to worry Burchill, before the Brit cuts him off with a scoop power slam for a near fall of his own.

Burchill gets back in charge, wearing down Doane, but is unable to finish him off. He pulls Doane to his feet, looking for a gut wrench, but ‘The Future’ slips out, hit’s the ropes, and takes the tough Brit down with a running splash. He follows up, delivering a snap suplex, but instead of covering, he looks to climb the ropes and nail the Sky High Leg Drop on Burchill … BUT KATIE DISTRACTS HIM!!! Doane is thrown off - literally - by the recovered Burchill, who begins to set up for the CURB STOMP when …

**NEW FOUNDATION**

Burchill is distracted, turning his attention to the stage, as the familiar music of his former tag team partner plays … and he perhaps expects to see Harry Smith … but no one arrives … AS DOANE COMES THROUGH WITH A VICTORY ROLL … 1...2...3!!!!!
Winner: Ken Doane @ 06:46

Doane steals it!!!!! Burchill bounces up, chasing Doane out of the ring, with the youngster escaping the wrath of a pissed off Brit. With a broad smile on his face, Doane pumps his fists in victory, earning the seventh and final slot on Team Raw - albeit thanks to a timely distraction - at the expense of Burchill. He backs up the ramp, punching the air in excitement, whilst Katie and Paul both are ready to explode in the ring.

Commercial Break

In catering, John Cena is seen grabbing a bottle of water, shaking his head - seemingly still a little miffed at Christian earlier - and peers over his shoulder, realising someone is behind him. He turns … and it’s ARMANDO ALEJANDRO ESTRADA. Beaming, Estrada introduces himself to Cena, stating that they haven’t formally met, but Cena is quick to respond, telling AAE “oh, I think I got all the meeting I needed last week.” Glossing over that by calling it an unfortunate misunderstanding, AAE moves on, telling Cena he has a proposal. Cena scoffs at the idea, and puts his water bottle down, sarcastically saying, “I gotta hear this.” and folds his arms, leading back to hear what he has to say.

Estrada goes on to kiss Cenas ass, calling him a smart individual, mentioning he was smart to offer to stick together with Christian, “but-ah … Christian?? For all his … ha ha, guts?? He‘s still pretty stoopid. He could‘ve given himself a fighting chance at de Survivor Series, but that dummy blew it.” Going on, Estrada suggests that since Christian was too dumb to take a good offer, Cena shouldn’t lose out. Cena questions what AAE is getting at, asking if he is trying to suggest he and Umaga combine against Christian. With a smirk, Estrada simply states that he doesn’t like the idea of Umaga losing out without being beat. Armando doesn’t quite ask the question, but tells Cena “I‘ll let ju think about it, John…” before setting down a cigar by Cena and leaving the scene.

**I‘M BACK**

Pacing onto the stage, Eric Bischoff isn’t wasting time, signalling to the cut the music, as he stands atop of the entrance way, looking to make an address. He explains to the fans that he has a couple of important announcements to make regarding the Survivor Series, and first congratulates Ken Doane on winning tonight … “but I‘m still not convinced. It seems to me you had a helping hand in obtaining victory tonight … which is why next week, you‘ll face Cody Rhodes, one on one for the final spot on MY Survivor Series team.”

Amidst indifference, Eric puts up a finger, signalling for silence, telling the fans he has more. He notes that Mickie James has made a “miraculous recovery” to level the Best of 5 series and take it to a deciding match … “and it will happen at the Survivor Series … but NOT in a regular match.” Eric dances around the subject for a moment, talking about Mickie and Beth being the leaders of a “new, vibrant era of womens wrestling”, and as a result, it’s only fair that they conclude their Best of 5 Series in the first ever ladies … LADDER MATCH!!!!!

Bischoffs music plays, with excitement in the air, as the women get a ladder match at Survivor Series for the first time ever!!!! The GM exit’s the stage on that bombshell, with J.R and Coach hyping the hell out of such a huge match for Beth and Mickie in the final match of the Best of 5 Series. That leads to the commentary team running down the entire Survivor Series line up at present, hyping the PPV as one of the biggest in the 21 year history of the event. Closing on the hype for the triple threat World Championship, they then move to a recap of last weeks closing segment, which saw the making of the triple threat…

… Back live …

**SOME BODIES GONNA GET IT**

With Theodore Long and Alicia Fox by his side, Shelton Benjamin makes his way to the ring for the main event of the evening, with Coach playing cheerleader for the Brotherhood, before cutting to a commercial break…

Commercial Break

At ringside, Theodore Long chats with Coach (who has stepped off commentary for the time being to leave J.R to fly solo) as they look Big Zeke up and down, with J.R smelling a rat, not pleased with what could be going down with Long and Coach…

**JUST CLOSE YOUR EYES**

Christian enters for the second time tonight - and another huge response from the New Orleans fans - parading the title belt to a big pop. He eyes the situation at ringside, with Coach finally rejoining the broadcast position, claiming he was talking about going for a meal after the show with Theodore Long - but J.R isn’t buying that excuse for a second.

Main Event | NON-TITLE MATCH:
Christian vs. Shelton Benjamin w/Theodore Long & Alicia Fox
Christian has the better of the early, tentative exchanges, out wrestling the wrestler - much to the chagrin of Benjamin. The champ sees off an attempt from Theodore Long to get involved, knocking him off the apron, then catching Benjamin with a dropkick as he came bounding in. Despite that, Benjamin is able to turn the match in his favour through his own merit, dodging a reverse elbow off the second rope from Christian to take control.

Shelton has the better of the contest from that point, and stops Captain Charisma from making a comeback, leaping to the top, throwing Christian off with a superb superplex, just as Christian was getting back into it!!! 1...2...NO!!! Unable to finish the champ with that, Shelton dumps him out of the ring … allowing the refreshed Teddy Long to put the boots to Christian, as we go to a commercial with Shelton distracting the official.

Commercial Break

Clips play from during the commercial of Big Zeke ramming Christian into the ring post behind the referees back, and back live, Benjamin is in control, but the fans get behind Christian as he begins his fight back, teeing off on the Black Diamond, but as he rushes off the ropes, HE GETS CAUGHT WITH A FROST KICK!!! Benjamin makes the cover, 1...2...KICK OUT!!! Shelton continues to put pressure on Christian, sizing him up as he pulls himself up in the corner, steaming in, and looking for the Stinger Splash … BUT CHRISTIAN MOVES … SEESAW KICK!!!

Captain Charisma wastes no time, delivering a reverse DDT, and hooking the leg, 1...2...KICK OUT!!! Despite the kick out, the match appears to be turning back in the favour of Christian, as he begins to hit top gear, scoring a couple more near falls, but Benjamin manages to hang on. Christian has a razor close two off a reverse DDT, and then climbs the ropes, looking for a Frog Splash … but acting out of desperation, Long pulls his prized asset out of harms way, and out of the ring.

{/OVERRUN}

Christian remains on the top rope, watching as Long drenches Shelton with a water bottle, and the champ has seen enough, and he jumps down, racing to the other corner … TRIANGLE PLANCHA TO THE OUTSIDE!!!!! The fans explode, as Christian pulls himself back to his feet, scaring off Theodore and Alicia, dragging Christian back into the ring, and goes for the Unprettier … but Benjamin shoves him away … PAY DIRT - NO!!!!

Christian hangs onto the ropes, and Benjamin hit’s the canvas hard, before struggling back to his feet … RIGHT INTO THE PATH OF CHRISTIAN AND AN UNPRETTIER- NO!!!!! Benjamin fights free again, into school boy on the World Champion, 1...2...NO!!!!! The champ kicks out, but is met with a kick from Shelton as he gets up, and Benjamin looks to hit the T-Bone … BUT CHRISTIAN LANDS ON HIS FEET, TURNS BENJAMIN OVER … UNPRETTIER!!!!! Christian covers … 1...2...3!!!!!
Winner: Christian @ 12:45

Christian wins … BUT IS BLINDSIDED AS HE GETS UP - BY BIG ZEKE!!!!!

With that, Theodore Long INSTANTLY signals towards the entrance, and from the back, THE BROTHERHOOD all quickly run (Mark Henry waddles) down the aisle, and jump on Christian in the ring, pounding Captain Charisma down, whilst Benjamin gets helped to his feet. Henry, JTG and Brown all put the boots to Christian, with Big Zeke getting a big pat on the back from Theodore Long.

JTG and Brown hold Christian up, as Big Zeke gets himself set … It looks bad for Christian … AS SUDDENLY THE FANS POP … WITH THE HARDY BOYS SPRINTING DOWN THE AISLE!!! Matt and Jeff come to the aide of Christian sliding into the ring, taking the fight to The Brotherhood, as Christian recovers, fighting back also, with the three men somehow getting the better of the massive group …

**VIRTUAL VOODOO**

Oh no. Umaga, led by the grinning Estrada hit’s the stage, with Coach bellowing “IT‘S FEEDING TIME IN THE JUNGLE!!!” as Christian peers up, seeing the Bulldozer marching toward the ring … JUST AS BIG ZEKE FLATTENS HIM FROM BEHIND AGAIN!!!!! The numbers have proven too much for the Hardys and Christian, and Umaga arrives just in time to clean up, as Long tells his men to step aside and leave Christian for Umaga. Umaga slowly steps inside, bearing down on the world champion …

… AS JOHN CENA EXPLODES DOWN THE AISLE … WITH A STEEL CHAIR!!!!!

Cena runs to ringside, is met by Monty Brown - BAM!!! Chair shot to Brown … BAM!!! Chair shot to JTG!!! Alicia Fox runs for her life, as Cena fakes a shot at her, and Theodore Long throws Shelton Benjamin in harms way to protect himself - BAM!!! Long escapes a chair shot, hopping the guardrail with Fox. Big Zeke eats a chair shot too, and another, forcing him to go down, freeing the Hardy Boys to follow in hot pursuit of Long and Fox. Now, Cena stares up at the ring, where Umaga is being called off by Armando Estrada. Umaga though, defiantly stares down Cena on the outside, and drops his huge tree trunk leg across the chest of Christian!!!

Umaga stands up, daring Cena - even with a chair - to meet him in the ring, as Cena slowly climbs the steps, readying himself for a showdown with the Samoan Bulldozer … but Estrada again calls his mastodon off. This time, Umaga listens, and backs up, with AAE on the apron, holding the ropes for him, as Cena tentatively steps onto the apron on the opposite side, stepping into the ring, as Umaga exits. Standing on the apron, Umaga stares down Cena, who keeps the chair up, ready for anything that may come from the Bulldozer … but Estrada makes his savage beast step down from the apron, calming and soothing the Bulldozer, patting his back.

Estrada leads Umaga away from the ring, but points up to Cena in the ring, telling him his card has been marked. Cena nods along, telling AAE to bring it, keeping focused on the pair as they leave up the aisle - seemingly having made his decision after the discussion with Armando earlier in the night. As they exit, Cena switches his attention … to Christian. J.R recalls the earlier conversation between Cena and Christian, reminding the audience that Christian rejected any form of help from Cena and told Cena if he came to the ring to expect a fight … and now, he questions whether Cena is here as a friend … or foe???

Now, Coach looks to try and will Cena on commentary, saying Cena should be remembering Christian beating him “in this city” seven months ago, saying he should knock his head off Christians shoulders. With the chair still cocked, Cena poises himself, waiting, as Christian pulls himself up on the ropes … a free shot if Cena wants it … but he takes a look around, listening to the reaction of the fans … and puts the chair down!!!!! Cena drops the chair, and then exit’s the ring, head down … as Christian spots him whilst getting back to his feet. Puzzled, Captain Charisma looks around, as we see Cena walk to the top of the ramp … hands on hips, turning, and eyes the recovering champion … as the show comes to an end.

END OF SHOW

RAW review:

Christian with the hero's return to New Orleans. The Survivor Series main event is such an amazing dynamic. You have the face of the company in Christian, the monster heel in Umaga, and the ultimate wild card in Cena. Really interested to see how Cena handles having the rematch he obsessed over torn away. Hopefully he loses his mind. Anyway, Christian/Benjamin looks like a great RAW main event and should be a good read. Damn, I hope The Brotherhood pulls off the Survivor Series win. They are a great stable and Hardy is just kinda bleh IMO.

TNT has looked very impressive recently. The tag team division right now is pretty stacked though, so not sure what their ceiling is. The tag team division might be the strength of RAW right now.

I love the tension between HBK and Bischoff, with Bischoff not trusting Doane to be the 7th member. I wonder what HBK's motivation could even be if the cost is firing that assclown Bischoff. I have a feeling his biggest concern is showing off to Lesnar. They were at each other's throats a while back and cocky old HBK seems to relish in every opportunity to prove he's the best. They've got to feud at some point, right?

Jeff Hardy was the logical choice to be Matt's first teammate. Nice to see Jeff finding some relevance again after fading into obscurity after WrestleMania. The reuniting of the Hardy Boys adds a little extra spice to that Survivor Series match. Plz don't end The Brotherhood plz.

Dustin needs to man the fuck up already. I'll admit, I haven't been fond of this whole situation, but the more it drags out, the more I'm just begging in my head for Dustin to break free and smack Cody around. Great storytelling, even if the characters aren't the most interesting.

Haha, the pot shots from Kennedy to HHH are gold. I love the new Kennedy character and the more you tease us with the HHH/Kennedy feud, the more hyped up I get about it. I'm pretty much 100% certain of a WrestleMania payoff, and that would be big time stuff. The disarray on the RAW team is expected, with an odd mix of faces and heels defending a GM nobody is really fond of. It's a strange and fun dynamic, and I expect the Survivor Series match to be absolutely bonkers.

Great women's match that really showcases Mickie's ability after seemingly getting "lucky" at Nemesis. Now we can see she's really capable of beating Beth and taking the title back. The fifth match must be at Survivor Series, and I hope there's some kind of stipulation to spice it up.

Man up Dustin, man up.

Wow, the RAW team is just in shambles. Kennedy vying to be the leader and trying to take Mysterio out, Bischoff trying to override HBK, HBK trying to find some order...they are due for an implosion of some kind at Survivor Series. It's gonna be an interesting match to read for sure.

Cena seemed a bit...heel-ish in this promo with Christian. Strategies in matches have really always been more of a heel tactic. I love the slow build of Cena's character. It's a dynamic that has slowly boiled over for the past year. I just can't wait until Cena finally blows. He might be on the verge.

HBK and Lesnar at it again! These two need to get in the ring. Can you say Dream Match? My God that would be awesome.

Harry Smith comes back and screws over Burchill! I love it. And Ken Doane earns his way onto the team. Wonder where the two former partners go from here.

Cena without an outright "no" response? Hmmmm...I don't think he'd ever team with Umaga, but still seeing shades of heel Cena here. Can't get over how awesome the dynamic for this match is. Cena/Christian II would have been great, but this is on another level.

Oh Bischoff. I have a feeling Dustin will screw over Cody next week, and Doane will find his way onto the team via distraction again. Bischoff's head might actually explode. Lady's ladder match? That's bold and pretty cool. Let's face it, not many of us are terribly interested in women's singles matches, so it's great to see how creative you've gotten with matches like this one and the Triple Jeopardy at WrestleMania. I'm...really excited to see this. Innovative stuff, Wolfy.

Quality main event between two great wrestlers, and all hell breaks loose afterwards. That's what Survivor Series build up should be, mass chaos. And the playing with Cena's character continues, very reminiscent of the WrestleMania build except Cena is 10x more desperate which makes the tension so much greater.

Just superb stuff as always. Survivor Series is shaping up to be legendary. Love every match on the card, and Edge/Undertaker in a stipulation match hasn't even been added yet.

WWE Superstars | October 24 2007

Excitedly, Grisham and Lawler open the show, with tonight’s main event a HUGE one - a World Tag Team Championship match on Superstars, with Straight Edge defending against The Master Craftsmen. Both commentators call it a must see match, telling the viewers not to miss it.

In the opening match, Chavo Guerrero & Super Crazy defeat Sonjay Dutt w/Daivari @ 05:10, getting the final word in their ongoing rivalry on Superstars, and they out cheat Dutt & Daivari to do it - adding salt to the wounds.

Gail Kim defeats FCW Alum Krissy Vaine, making her WWE debut @ 01:58, with Vaine merely fodder, tapping out to the Dragon Sleeper.

Despite the talent involved and the time given the foursome, it’s not the classic many anticipated (they cant all be classics, right?) but it’s a solid tag team match … which ends disappointingly in a DQ for Albright and Haas @ 16:13 when Albright is caught red handed nailing Punk with one of the title belts.

Despite losing the match, it’s Albright and Haas that walk out looking like winners, with Punk downed by the belt shot and Helms kneeling down, helping his partner to recover, as the Craftsmen look back from the top of the aisle to close the show, mouthing that there WILL be a next time, and they’ll take the titles next time.

Friday Night Smackdown | October 26 2007 | New Orleans LA

Smackdown opens cold, with Brock Lesnar already in the ring, pacing back and forth, as Styles explains that Lesnar has been in the ring for the last five minutes, waiting for the start of tonights show. Cutting straight to the chase on the mic, Lesnar tells the fans that last week, he was forced to take notice of someone - MVP. Brock reminds the fans of Porters attack, and oddly tells them that he was impressed by the actions MVP took to get noticed … “but I want to see if he‘s got the balls to do that again tonight - only this time, face to face.”

After waiting out some cheers, Lesnar announces that Smackdown GM Arn Anderson has allowed him to make his own match tonight - taking on MVP one on one in order to test Porter and truly see if he can walk the walk like he talks the talk. “And if he can face me like a man tonight in this ring … then I‘ll give him that spot on the team he desperately wants.” Short and sweet, Lesnar chucks the mic down, and leaves the ring, giving Styles and Heyman a chance to shill tonights show - a loaded show just two and a half weeks away from Survivor Series - with TWO title matches and a grudge match main event between Brock Lesnar & MVP - plus Edge expects to hear a response from The Undertaker - tonight!! …

**THREE SUNS AND ONE STAR**

Led by the fitness guru Michelle McCool, Chris Harris and James Storm make their way out, just as Lesnar goes through the curtain. Styles and Heyman again mention the two title matches, with the first of those matches coming up … NEXT!!!!!

Commercial Break

Match 1 | WWE TAG TEAM CHAMPIONSHIPS MATCH:
Americas Most Wanted w/Michelle McCool vs. MNM w/Melina
The ‘out of shape’ AMW look like they are back in fine fettle, bringing their A-Game tonight, seemingly worked back into shape by the fitness guru McCool, who watches her boys, applauding them loudly as they eventually wrestle control of the match, weathering a storm from Nitro and Mercury. Wearing down the smaller men, AMW look to play a methodical game, slowing the pace right down, frustrating the fast paced challengers with rest holds, as Melina wills her duo on with her shrill screams at ringside, much to the disgust of Michelle on the other side.

As the match continues, Harris and Storm are able to single out Mercury, cutting off the ring, finally showing after two months of struggles why they’ve been champions for over ten months … but they cant finish Mercury off. Getting in the face of a frustrated Nitro on the apron, AMW know exactly what they’re doing, getting chances at illegal double teams with Nitros temper getting the better of him on a number of occasions due to the trash talk from the champs. Harris and Storm continue to wear down the challenger, as Smackdown heads to another commercial break.

Commercial Break

The show returns with AMW still in charge, as Mercury struggles to hang on, with Styles noting that it’s been much the same throughout the break with AMW pulling out all the rotten tricks at their disposal. Even McCool gets involved, choking Mercury on the bottom rope when the referees back is turned, with Melina confronting her rival diva as the two nearly come to blows, forcing Nick Patrick to step in and break the pair up before it escalates … which allows Nitro in the mean time to try and even the playing field, dropkicking Harris off the apron, then cracks Storm with a Chuck Kick!!!!

The door is opened for Mercury now … with Nitro returning to the corner, reaching out desperately for a tag … as his partner crawls … AND MAKES IT!!!!! Nitro leaps into action, picking up the pace, bamboozling Harris and Storm with his speed and quickness, as McCool begins to look concerned on the outside. Nitro has Storm down, and climbs the ropes, looking for something off the top perhaps to finish off (he hasn’t used Starship Pain yet) … but HARRIS THROWS HIM OFF!!!!! Harris smiles to himself … BUT MERCURY CLOCKS HIM!!!

The smile is wiped off Harris’ face, and Mercury throws him back out of the ring, just in time to save Nitro from a Superkick, dragging his partner out of harms way … and they then double up, taking Storm up … SNAPSHOT … CONNECTS!!!!! New champions look set to be crowned as Nitro covers … 1...2...FOOT ON THE ROPE - COURTESY OF MICHELLE MCCOOL!!! Pleased with herself, McCool smiles … but not for long … AS MELINA TACKLES HER DOWN!!!!! Melina pulls clumps out of the blonde divas hair, as Mercury and Nitro argue about the count with the official.

As this all goes down, Harris blindsides Nitro, throwing him - the legal man - out of the ring, before Mercury then takes on the Wildcat. It’s broken down into an all out brawl, as Mercury charges Harris into the corner, with Storm - out of sorts - rolling out of the ring, stomping Nitro, before trying to help out McCool by dragging Melina off her … but the fiery redhead SLAPS Storm across the face!!! He stands - frozen in anger - whilst Melina again comes after McCool, before the Cowboy against tries to prise her from his valet.

However, Nitro is back up and he looks to get Storm back inside, only for Storm to send Nitro into the announce table. Melina and McCool continue to roll around in typical cat fight fashion, whilst Harris and Mercury have spilled out onto the other side of the ring. McCool tries to create space between her and Melina, but is caught and stomped against the barrier … as Storm now picks up a beer bottle left by him at the time keepers desk earlier, and he sizes up Nitro … LOOKING TO SMASH HIM WITH THE BOTTLE … BUT NITRO AVOIDS IT …

… AND STORMS MOMENTUM FORCES HIM TO RUSH ON - AND UNABLE TO STOP HIMSELF … HE BREAKS THE BOTTLE ON THE SIDE OF MELINAS FACE!!!!! After one shrill sickly yelp from Melina upon impact, the arena quietens down to a sudden hush - everything stops; including the match. Nitro forgets all about the titles, shoving instantly by Storm to tend to his valet (and girlfriend off camera) who holds the side of her face. Mercury quickly rushes to that side of the ring too, as even Michelle McCool looks concerned, looking down at Melina. No official bell sounds … but the match is clearly over.
Winners: No Contest @ 12:16 - Americas Most Wanted retain the titles

Quickly, medics rush to ringside, as Mercury shoves cameramen out of the way, telling them to get lost. He has his hands on his head, shaking his head in shock, whilst the frozen McCool turns to the shocked and sullen James Storm, pointing at the titles, instructing him to get them and to get out of here.

It’s all very solemn and quiet on commentary, with concern for Melina growing … as the champions walk up the aisle, looking extremely guilty, with Storm in particular looking most affected by his actions. Back at ringside, Styles claims that the cameramen have been instructed not to film the images of Melina - due to the graphic nature (but really because there isn’t anything really wrong with her. It‘s wrestling for christ sakes) - and out of some respect, before fading quietly to a commercial.

In the parking lot, Nitro and Mercury join Melina in the ambulance as she is taken away, with Styles narrating over a still image of the ‘accidental’ beer bottle shot, claiming that shards of the broken glass went into Melinas eye, as well as gashing her face. He tells the audience that she is being taken to a nearby medical facility, and (of course) we’ll be notified if any news is given.

Backstage, almost the entire roster has come together in support of the stricken Melina, with a lot of concern from faces and heels alike. As AMW arrive backstage, they notice the amount of dirty looks and head shakes they are given, with the roster seemingly shunning - turning their backs - on the Tag Team Champs. McCool quietly suggests that they get their bags and leave early, with the solemn looking champs nodding in agreement. Storm momentarily speaks up, stumbling over his words, addressing the roster present, “I, I uh, guys, I didn’t mean for that- I mean, not- … uh, that wasn’t meant to happen. I cant-” Michelle pats him on the back, telling him it’s okay, as they skulk off, getting more looks of disgust as we fade out…

**FLIGHT OF THE VALKYRIES**

Ahead of a special challenge to the Cruiserweight Champion, Bryan Danielson makes his way to the ring, with Styles stating that the show must go on, and reminding the fans of Danielsons debut two weeks ago, beating The Brian Kendrick in a five minute challenge to earn his contract. He and Heyman then discuss the fact that TBK told Danielson he threw the match two weeks ago on Smackdown, leading to tonight’s rematch which Danielson has requested.

**MAN WITH A PLAN**

Kendrick enters, with Styles giving the Cruiserweight Champion credit for giving Brock Lesnar a real fight last week on Smackdown, but notes that Kendrick isn’t dressed to compete - much to the chagrin of Danielson in the ring. Kendrick has a mic, and after referring to Bryan as ‘buddy’, he notifies Danielson that “as much as I‘d love to give you an opportunity to wrestle the champ tonight … I‘m not medically cleared to compete after my gruelling war with Brock Lesnar last week.”

After waiting out heat from the fans, Kendrick overplays his match with Lesnar last week, claiming to have taken Brock to the limit in a match for the ages - but doesn’t ever mention the fact that he actually lost, but instead focuses on the new found admirers he has gained in the seven days all over the world for the showing he put on a week ago. TBK does tell Danielson though that “I know how keen you are to make the most of every opportunity you get to wrestle on Smackdown - every week could be the last for a guy like you…”

In the ring, Danielson smirks at the comment from the cocky champion, but listens, as TBK reveals that he has managed to find a replacement for himself tonight, “someone desperate to make a name for himself - just like you … wanting to be just like the greatest Cruiserweight Champion ev-errrr…”

**X-FACTOR**

Just to show how big headed Kendrick is, the guy ‘wanting to make a name for himself’ is a former 4 time tag team champion, former European Champ, and (albeit a long time ago) former Cruiserweight Champion - X-Pac. The veteran shakes his head in disgust at Kendrick due to the introduction he was given, and mouths something as he walks by the cocky TBK, but eyes Danielson in the ring, as Styles and Heyman send off to a commercial …

Commercial Break

Match 2:
Bryan Danielson vs. X-Pac
Joined in progress, with Styles stating that The Brian Kendrick had been watching the match from the top of the ramp, but seemed to get bored, and left the stage to hang out backstage instead. In the ring, Danielson brings his hard hitting style to X-Pac, but the veteran X-Pac also has his own educated feet, and gives the WWE newcomer plenty to think about, gaining the upper hand for a short period, but as he attempts a Bronco Buster, Danielson avoids, and once more takes control, cracking X-Pac with an array of stiff kicks to the chest, before drilling him with a roundhouse kick to the head … leading to the Cattle Mutilation … and a submission victory.
Winner: Bryan Danielson @ 05:26

Three wins from three for Danielson shows that he’s not just another cruiserweight - it’s time for The Brian Kendrick to sit up and take notice. Danielson has his hand raised, with Styles and Heyman naturally putting the uber talented Danielson over, with a huge win over a grizzled WWE veteran like X-Pac.

Footage cuts backstage, where a massive commotion is going on, with wrestlers, agents and referees all involved, with the cameraman getting shoved around a bit, before it is finally revealed that BATISTA and GARRISON CADE are the reason for the melee, with everyone trying to split them apart … but they fight on, throwing blows back and forth, until the veteran Irishman, Finlay, interjects, struggling - but DOES - get between the two men, allowing other superstars and officials to hold the pair back. Keeping two of his fellow Team Smackdown team mates apart, Finlay tells them that as much as he likes a good ‘ol fight - now isn’t the time.

He reminds both men that they have matches tonight - BIG matches - and sets them straight, telling them that they need to get on the same page quickly, “just for a couple of weeks” to keep Arn Anderson in a job. In a tough guy, bravado moment, he then tells them both that if they don’t put their differences aside - they’ll have a pissed off Irishman to deal with, “and no one likes to piss off an Irishman that loves a fight.” Neither Batista or Cade say a word, with Cade instead shrugging off the men holding him back, and storms off, but not before telling Finlay “it‘s not me that has the problem - talk to that lunatic.” Finlay turns, staring at Batista, and shakes his head at the crazed Animal, before fading out…

Elsewhere, Paul London walks through the backstage area - United States title around his waist ahead of a huge title defence tonight - but as he walks, the figure of NICK NEMETH is seen lurking behind him. Sensing a presence, London turns, with the grinning Nemeth right up behind him. Wearing his custom made “NEW Golden Boy” shirt, Nemeth tugs at it, making sure that London sees it. Nemeth informs London that he’s been drafted into the Survivor Series team, “Because it‘s obvious Brock Lesnar sees you as old news - Team Smackdown needs it‘s new Golden Boy.”

London remains silent, giving nothing away, as Nemeth continues to try and get under his skin, claiming he wont steal the spotlight at the Survivor Series … “but I cant help it … just happens.” He smirks, before excusing himself as he has a match in just a moment, telling the United States Champ, “Watch in awe, wannabe. I‘m about to show you - and everybody else just how it‘s done.” Nemeth walks on by, with his match coming up next, and London stands still, purposely not rising to the taunts of the cocky superstar.

Commercial Break

Match 3:
Nick Nemeth vs. Jamie Noble
As the match progresses, Nemeth is joined at ringside by Layla, with her (winless) duo The James Boys stood at the top of the ramp to watch. The British diva - with recent issues with Noble, plus, seemingly an infatuation with Nemeth - cheers on The Narcissist during the back and forth affair. While the class of Nemeth is undeniable, Noble is proven to be just as good, still kept strong despite dropping out of contention in the cruiserweight division. Despite being a match for Nemeth, Noble is unable to put the ‘new’ Golden Boy away, and Nemeth eventually gets the better of his tenacious opponent, catching Noble with the Ego Boost, and the 1...2...3!!!
Winner: Nick Nemeth @ 06:12

Layla is jubilant at ringside, pointing to her boys, telling them to watch and learn, whilst Nemeth soaks up the moment, savouring his win - he’s STILL undefeated, and after winking toward the lovely Layla on the outside, he stomps Noble, and she then waves her boys to the ring, with Kasey and Kassidy making their way to the ring, in discussion with each other, as Layla steps into the ring, with Nemeth helping her inside, before taking his own leave, telling the James Boys “You‘re welcome” as he passes them. Kasey and Kassidy steps inside, with Layla telling them to show Noble they’re not like him, demanding that they do it - NOW!!

They take one look at each other, rather conflicted whether or not to attack Noble … but with Layla yelling at them to make a choice … THEY BEGIN TO STOMP DOWN NOBLE!!! Together, The James Boys put the boots to Noble, turning their back completely on their fellow trailer park boy - much to the delight of Layla. Kasey and Kassidy then get Noble up, going for a double suplex … BUT DROP NOBLE ACROSS THE TOP ROPE!!!!! Noble is hung up on the top, as the two men then double dropkick him from the apron, to the barrier!!!!! With Layla nodding at the work of her pair, she instructs them to continue, shouting “SHOW HIM!!!” But just before they can …

**STAY IN SHADOW**

The United States Champion comes to the rescue, sprinting down the aisle to make the save for Noble, and Layla decides not to engage, darting out of the ring, and calling The James Boys off. They then distance themselves from London, making their way around the other side of the ringside area, whilst the U.S Champ tends to Noble. Noble struggling, holding his ribs, winces in pain, with London trying to help him up …

**ROAD TO TEXAS**

But Garrison Cade has spotted an opportunity to get the jump on London, and the Lone Star walks toward the ring with a purpose, as the Golden Boy shakes his head in anger at the opportunistic Cade. Styles hypes the U.S Title match coming up next, right after the commercial break.

Commercial Break

Match 4 | UNITED STATES CHAMPIONSHIP MATCH:
Paul London vs. Garrison Cade
Joined in progress with Cade in control and Noble now removed from ringside by trainers, the big Texan uses his superior size to keep London down, wearing him down with a sleeper. Of course, it wont beat London, but it forces him to struggle back to his feet and fight free, taking more energy out of him. However, once free, London picks up the pace, proving to be too quick for Cade, and eventually sends him over the top rope. Then, looking to slingshot out onto the Lone Star - LONDON GETS CAUGHT - and POWERSLAMMED on the floor!!!!!

Cade makes it back inside, bringing London with him (as he cant win the title on a count out) and scores a number of near falls, but cant finish the champ off, much to his dismay. Stomping London in the corner, Cade bellows for his fellow Texan to “JUST STAY DOWN, BOYYY!!!” and shoots him off the ropes, looking for a sidewalk slam, but London counters into a tilt-a-whirl head scissors!!!!! Looking to pick up momentum, London delivers a hat trick of dropsaults, and then climbs the ropes, leaping off at the challenger - CLOTHESLINE!!!!! Cade explodes with a clothesline to the incoming champ, and covers, 1...2...NO!!!!!

{/SECOND HOUR}

The Lone Star gets back up, claiming it to be over, and gets London back to his feet, sizing up the Heart Punch … BUT LONDON FIGHTS!!!! With kicks, London frees himself from Cades grasp, and rushes off the ropes - RIGHT INTO A REVERSE ELBOW!!!! Again, Cade puts London down, then drags him up, throwing him onto his shoulders - RAZORS EDGE TIME!!!!! Cade struggles for a second to get London into the right position, and London manages to counter as Cade looks to throw him … HURRICANRANA … WITH A PIN … 1...2...CADE DESPERATELY TRIES TO KICK FREE - BUT CANT …3!!!!!!!
Winner: And STILL United States Champion - Paul London @ 13:59

Despite taking quite the beating for much of the contest, London leaves New Orleans with the U.S Title in tact!! Outmanoeuvring Cade, London escapes - and Cade is furious with the loss. He sits up in the ring, exasperated as he tries to fathom how he managed to lose. Outside the ring, London holds up the title belt, finding a way to retain the belt tonight, once again holding off another strong challenger. Styles and Heyman put over the ‘never say die’ attitude of the champ, pointing out that he is NEVER out of the fight - especially when the stakes are at their highest.

Backstage, Randy Orton is seen - not dressed to compete - with Joey Styles informing the fans that Orton is set to come to the ring next, where he promises to unveil the next member of his Survivor Series team … claiming to shock Ric Flair to his very core…

The WWE Champion Randy Orton is met with boos, right back in the city where his seven month title reign began. Styles and Heyman shill the 5 on 5 Survivor Series match between Ortons team (with AMW confirmed) and Flairs team (with RVD and MNM confirmed), as Orton gets set to unveil the fourth member of his five man team.

Orton initially opens the promo, reliving his WWE Championship win “in near record time” at WrestleMania in this city - to heat - and talks about it being the first time “of many” that he put Rob Van Dam out of commission … “yet … he keeps … coming … back.” Orton goes on, claiming Flair and RVD are well matched, being like two cockroaches that wont just “wither and die”. The champion then promises to finish the pair of them off once and for all at the Survivor Series … “but right now, what I‘d like to-” Suddenly, Orton is cut off, as the arena plunges into darkness for a moment, until the screen lights up…

Sooner or later, god’ll cut you down

The camera continues to travel up the leg and the mid section of the unknown wrestler, with the shots of untold horror continue to flash in too.

Go tell that long tongue liar,
Go and tell that midnight rider

And the video finally reveals the superstar the video is based on - Randy Orton. It remains on the face of the WWE Champion, until fading out, with the following words eventually filling the screen…

SOONER OR LATER …

… HIS ARMAGEDDON …

… WILL ARRIVE.

The lights return, amidst confusion. Orton looks around, asking what that was all about, but composes himself, and gets back on point, stating “nice little video, Ric. Real cute.” Orton then tells the fans that everyone likes to cast him as a bad guy, rotten to the core … “but everyone looks at Ric Flair like he‘s some kind of saint … but that‘s not true.” The champion goes on, talking about everyone depicting Ric Flair as an icon or an idol for people to look up to, “but you people need to see Ric Flair for what he is…”

Going on, Orton tells the fans Flair’s success over the last thirty years in the ring to be beloved by the fans has come at a cost - “to be a God in your eyes, Ric Flair sacrificed his personal relationships, multiple marriages … and even neglected his own family, to the extent where his own SON … jumped at the chance to OPPOSE his own father at the Survivor Series…” The WWE Champion stops, and turns his attention to the aisle … AS DAVID FLAIR walks out through the curtain!!!

Joey Styles expresses shock and disgust at David Flair, and also calls Orton a scumbag for pulling a stunt like this, before informing the fans of David Flairs wrestling past, making sure to say “the apple has fallen far from the tree” and telling the fans that despite years of trying to make it big, David Flair has never quite lived up to the family name. Flair enters the ring, with Orton putting an arm on his shoulder, addressing the fans, questioning how anyone could want to fight their own parent, and that it goes to show what kind of father Flair was …

RKO!!!!!

Orton - in a flash - drops David Flair with an RKO, bouncing right back up, grabbing the mic, and yelling at the fans that he would NEVER have a member of the Flair family on his team … but he wanted to show the fans and Ric himself just what his own family think of him … “and this is what I think of your family, Ric” … AND PUNTS DAVID FLAIR!!!!! Orton punts Ric Flairs eldest son, and now, RIC FLAIR is charging down the aisle!!! Throwing off his jacket, Ric is all fired up, coming to the ring for Orton, but as he reaches it, Orton slithers out - smiling - watching Ric lose his cool, mentally getting in the head of the legendary Nature Boy.

The WWE Champion walks around the ringside area, whilst Flair challenges Orton to get in the ring, before tending to his son, putting aside the fact that David was ready to go against him at Survivor Series. Shouting out at Orton, calling him a “no good son of a bitch” whilst kneeling down by Davids side. Orton backs up the ramp, still holding the mic, addressing Flair, saying again that he’d never let a member of the Flair family on his Survivor Series team, saying the Flair’s aren’t even a family, they cant even stand side by side when the going gets tough … unlike the Ortons, who always stand together. Randy smiles …

… AS BOB ORTON HAS CLIMBED INTO THE RING - FROM THE CROWD … AND CLOBBERS FLAIR FROM BEHIND … WITH HIS TRADEMARK PLASTER CAST!!!!!

Randy Orton has played a nasty - but perfect - game, suckering Flair … and he slips back into the ring to join his father in beating down the Nature Boy … BUT NATURALLY, ROB VAN DAM COMES TO THE RESCUE!!!!! Bob spots RVD coming, warning Randy, and tries to make a quick escape, with Van Dam sliding inside - chair in hand - swinging at Randy … but the WWE Champion narrowly avoids the chair shot … and escapes. The Ortons live to fight another day, and escape up the ramp, arms over shoulders, delighted with how their plan went down, whilst RVD helps Ric up - but Flairs focus is on his son, asking for help for David, as we head into a commercial.

Commercial Break

Ominously, the show returns with yet ANOTHER ambulance driving away scene - this time David Flair - being taken to a local medical facility, much like Melina … as Randy Ortons punt claims ANOTHER victim. Arn Anderson stands, hands on hips, watching the ambulance drive off, as Kristal Marshall approaches, looking for a comment from the GM. Anderson has little to say, but says that after what just happened, Randy Orton deserves to be strung up - and he predicts mayhem next week if Ric Flair gets near Orton…

Back at ringside, Styles and Heyman discuss a brutal night on Smackdown, recapping the punt kick moments ago, adding David Flair to the list of casualties that reads; RVD, Chris Jericho, Nick Dinsmore, Tommy Dreamer … and now Ric Flairs son, stating that it was personal already … but Orton has now added fuel to the fire in his war with Ric Flair.

They then recap the gruesome incident earlier in the night, where a stray beer bottle shot smashed in Melinas face, courtesy of James Storm, with both Styles and Heyman agreeing that AMW crossed the line tonight - even if the beer bottle was intended for Nitro - it was still too much. Meanwhile, Daivari is in the ring, with Sonjay Dutt on the outside, seconding his tag team partner, awaiting his opponent…

**LOADED**

Jeff Hardy rushes onto the stage (followed by his tag team partner / protégé Evan Bourne), pumping the crowd, with Styles and Heyman discussing the development which has seen Jeff Hardy granted permission to wrestle in a Raw brand match at the Survivor Series, teaming with his brother Matt, in a 5 on 5 Survivor Series match, and play clips of Jeff appearing on Raw on Monday to team with Matt in a win over two members of the Brotherhood.

Match 5:
Daivari w/Sonjay Dutt vs. Jeff Hardy w/Evan Bourne
Hardy makes quick work of Daivari, and thanks to Evan Bourne countering the presence of Dutt, Hardy is all set to win the match in a strong showing, climbing up top to hit the Swanton Bomb …
WHEN THE BROTHERHOOD ARRIVE AROUND THE RING!!!!! Jeff spots Mark Henry first, and FLIES from the top rope onto the Worlds Strongest Man, surprising the big man, and taking him off his feet!!! However, Bourne is quickly man handled by JTG and Monty Brown follows up with THE POUNCE (/period), whilst Benjamin leaps on Hardy!!!
Winner: Via DQ - Jeff Hardy @ 02:40

The Brotherhood - invading from Raw - put the boots to Hardy, having already taken care of Bourne, and bring Jeff into the ring, looking to send a message to Matt who is surely watching on television somewhere … as Benjamin lands with Pay Dirt!!! But - the group aren’t finished there … Theodore Long issues instructions to a pissed off Mark Henry, and The Worlds Strongest Man obliges … scooping Jeff up … WORLDS STRONGEST SLAM!!!!!

Standing over Jeff, The Brotherhood hold centre stage, with Theodore Long (minus a mic) shouting toward the hard camera; “Think you‘re clever, playa?? Think again Matt. Think again.” Quickly though, the six strong group have to flee, as a group of Smackdown superstars - led by Batista - enter the fray, at war with Raw in general at this point, and not taking kindly to an invasion on their show. The Brotherhood hop the barrier, and get out of harms way, whilst the dozen superstars enter the ring to check on Jeff, whilst also eyeballing The Brotherhood, who don’t bother to look back - having sent their message.

The video opens in a hallway, with a crazed looking Edge wearing a bad wig - dressed like Jack Nicholson in ‘The Shining’, stood outside a door.

Edge: Little pigs, let me come in!!

Inside the room, Maria (instead of a knife, as in the film) picks up a wooden spoon, and leans against the wall, stricken with fear.

Back outside the room, Edge stands by the door, still looking crazed.

Edge: Not by the hair on your chinny chin, chin. Then I’ll huff … and I’ll puff … and I’ll blow your house in!!

He steps back … then takes an AXE to the door, with Maria screaming - in a completely over the top manner.

Edge cracks a hole in the door, then pokes his head through.

Edge: HEREEEE’S EDGE!!!

He then reaches his hand through the door … and grabs a ticket for Survivor Series … then pulls away from the door, kissing the ticket.

Edge: Yes!!

Edge merrily walks off, ticket in hand, whilst Maria stays behind in the room.

Maria: Not my Survivor Series ticket!!

The Survivor Series logo then flashes across the screen.

Josh Mathews is standing by with Carlito and Kofi Kingston, off the back of their loss to the Murdochs last week. Carlito is seething, as he recaps the trouble Festus and Trevor have caused he and Kofi; costing them the tag titles, and using a tyre iron to lay them out - TWICE. He states that the issue - as far as he’s concerned - isn’t over … it’s gotten personal. Kofi chips in, questioning who the man behind the change in the Murdochs is, challenging him - whoever he may be - to show his face, and join the Murdochs in getting a taste of their own medicine. Kingston adds, saying that while he and Carlito might be fun loving guys, they’ve both got a breaking point … “and Josh mon, dem Murdochs have just found it.”

Backstage, MVP is seen, in his ring gear, as Styles and Heyman tell the audience that the match with Brock Lesnar is coming up next, asking the question; “Will M.V.P earn the respect of Brock Lesnar and in the process a place on Team Smackdown at the Survivor Series!? We‘ll find out; next!!”

Commercial Break

Main Event:
Brock Lesnar vs. M.V.P
It’s a first ever meeting between Lesnar and MVP, and after crying out for main event matches, MVP is keen to make good on the opportunity, taking the fight to Brock, standing toe to toe with the Iron Man - not a great idea. Lesnar wins the brawl, and dominates for a period from that point, until MVP is able to turn the match around, catching Lesnar off the ropes with a big boot. As noted before, MVP grabs the opportunity to shine with both hands, roughing up Lesnar with added intensity, sending him into the steel steps. Porter brings Brock back inside, sizing him up, and nailing him with the DRIVE BY KICK!!! 1...2...NO!!!!

On commentary, Heyman is almost stunned to silence, playing off some comments he made during the main event last week, when Lesnar struggled to put away a game - but much weaker opponent - The Brian Kendrick, and states that this isn’t the Brock Lesnar he knows, unable to fathom seeing the Iron Man in this kind of trouble. MVP though isn’t concerned with that - he sees an opportunity, and is looking to take it with both hands. He prevents a Lesnar comeback, putting him back down, before connecting with the Ballin’ Elbow for another two count. He then applies a rear chinlock, heading into a commercial break, with Heyman still puzzled by Lesnar.

Commercial Break

And back, the action is on the outside, with Porter hammering down Brock - trash talking - as Styles informs the fans that just before we came back on the air, MVP stopped another Lesnar comeback with a back body drop to the outside. In the ring, Porter still cant finish Brock off, and runs off the ropes … RIGHT INTO A BELLY TO BELLY FROM LESNAR!!!!! Lesnar scrambles into a cover … 1...2...NO!!! SHOULDER UP!!!!! Brock now begins to rough MVP up, beating on him in the corner - with Heyman claiming this to be more like it - and nails a delayed Fisherman, scoring another near fall.

Lesnar continue to punish MVP, putting the boots to him in the corner, testing the mettle of the highest paid superstar on Smackdown, and looks to hit a superplex … but MVP battles free, knocking Brock off, and catching him with a missile dropkick from the top!!! He covers now, 1...2...NO!!!!! It’s a 50/50 match at this point, with the pendulum swinging back and forth, trading near falls. MVP looks to end it, setting Brock up for the Play of the Day - but Brock avoids it, ducks a clothesline, and scoops MVP up - F5 - NO!!!!! MVP counters into a swinging neck breaker!!!!! He covers, 1...2...NO!!!!! He looks up in dismay, but tries to capitalise, dragging Lesnar up … F5!!!!!!!! Brock explodes!!!!! Out of nowhere, he nails the F5, cover … 1...2...3!!!!!
Winner: Brock Lesnar @ 12:00

Lesnar battles to another win, his second hard fought win in two straight weeks, and was truly pushed to the limit tonight by MVP. After having his arm raised, Lesnar pulls away, and signals for a mic, with Chimmel handing it over. He looks down on MVP, telling the beaten superstar to get up. Struggling by the ropes, MVP looks up at Lesnar, before pulling himself to his feet.

Brock walks over to him, patting his chest, before simply stating “Congratulations. You‘re in.” Lesnar drops the mic, and exit’s the ring, with MVP - despite losing - clearly winning the respect of Brock between the ropes tonight, earning his slot - the final slot - on Smackdowns Survivor Series team. Porter watches - but still doesn’t look happy - as Lesnar continues up the aisle…

And Joey Styles hypes the final segment of the night - Edge will be in the ring, waiting for a response to his challenge to The Undertaker - NEXT!!!

Commercial Break

**METALINGUS**

For the first time tonight, Edge is seen, and is given the initial pop, followed by heat reaction as usual. Dressed in jeans and his own Rated R Superstar t-shirt, he wastes little time coming to the ring, with Styles and Heyman both discussing the gauntlet thrown down by Edge last week - challenging The Undertaker to a match at the Survivor Series … ANY match.

Edge stands in the ring, waiting out the boos from the fans, before he reminds them of his challenge last week. Re-treading old ground, Edge tells the fans he intends on forcing Arn Anderson - “or whoever ends up in charge after Survivor Series” - to revoke the 12 month ban on a title shot … “not by words, but by my actions. Starting at the Survivor Series, by BEATING The Undertaker!!!” This sparks an ‘UNDER-TAKER’ chant from the fans, and Edge nods along, telling them that he wants him out here too - “I want an answer Deadman. Come on out!!! We‘re waiting!!!” Edge waits, pacing around, glaring up at the stage…

DARKNESS!!

**GRAVEYARD SYMPHONY**

New Orleans comes UNGLUED, as The Phenom, The Deadman … THE UNDERTAKER makes a live appearance!!! Taker slowly steps onto the stage, staring right down to Edge - standing fearlessly in the ring. The sombre music dies down, and The Deadman slowly raises the mic to his mouth to address Edge, telling the Rated R Superstar “EDGE!! Brave … is the man who feels no fear. But your actions … are not the actions of a brave man … but instead … a tormented soul”

“In your blind lust for gold, you have confused courage for foolishness … and for that fact, you must … be … punished. The path you have chosen to travel, the path to righteousness, which you believe will lead you to the holy grail … will not. Instead, it has led you to a dark alley, of which there is NO escape. You, Edge, have sealed your own fate, YOU have designed your own downfall … and at the Survivor Series, you will face … your … last … ride!!

AS Taker finishes speaking, the darkened arena shines another spotlight to the side of the stage … showing a HEARSE!!! It appears that The Undertaker has chosen a LAST RIDE MATCH at the Survivor Series!!! Edge looks nervous, but nods, having asked for this himself - he know has to face the consequences. The Undertaker’s music plays again, as The Phenom rolls his eyes back, and Joey Styles hypes the match - only the second Last Ride Match EVER - in just over two weeks in L.A.

WEEKEND NEWS:

Breaking news from wwe.com ahead of Raw this Monday, is that the World Heavyweight Champion Christian and John Cena will join forces to take on the third man in the equation at the Survivor Series, Umaga, his handler Armando Alejandro Estrada and the bodyguard of Raw Colour Commentator, The Coach; Big Zeke. Despite the odds stacked against them, Christian and Cena will undoubtedly be confident of victory - provided they stay on the same page - given Estradas lack of in-ring prowess and the fact that it will be the in ring debut of Big Zeke.

Eric Bischoff has also made it clear that while he has agreed to allow Big Zeke to compete this coming Monday, he is NOT an active member of the Raw roster, but is employed by The Coach, with Zekes wage paid for by Coach out of his own salary. Following a mutual agreement with Big Zekes employer, Bischoff has put Zeke right into the mix, giving Christian an opportunity to gain revenge for the sneak attack carried out by Big Zeke at the behest of his boss three weeks ago.

However, with tensions between Captain Charisma and Cena simmering, can the two men stay on the same page to get the job done?? All will be revealed on Raw this Monday night.

---

In Smackdown related news, GM Arn Anderson has confirmed that MNM; Johnny Nitro & Joey Mercury, have been - at their request - removed from the Survivor Series Elimination Match between Team Flair and Team Orton. This follows the shocking injuries suffered by Melina at the hands of James Storms beer bottle on Friday night during the WWE Tag Team Title Match, with the pair being granted compassionate leave of duty in order to care for their valet - and in Nitros case; girlfriend - for the forseeable future. Anderson made a brief statement to wwe.com, expressing his regret at what happened to Melina on Smackdown, denouncing the actions of James Storm, and informing MNM that his thoughts are with them.

Also in his statement, Anderson commented on the other sickening act which occured on Smackdown, with David Flair - son of Ric - being hospitalised following a punt to the skull from the WWE Champion, Randy Orton. Flair now becomes the FIFTH victim of the punt since WrestleMania, and whilst David Flair is not a member of the WWE roster, the Flair family have announced that - at the wishes of Ric - they will not press charges, with Ric Flair claiming that he has full faith in the WWE officials to deal with Orton for yet another disgusting attack.

Obviously, Flair has more important things on his mind at present, but it is to be noted that with just two weeks until the Survivor Series he needs to find three more partners to line up against Randy Ortons team, which now only has one place left to be filled. And, despite personal matters to tend to, Ric Flair must surely have one eye on replacing MNM on his Survivor Series team - and quick - if he is to avoid another incident like on Smackdown this past Friday.

-----

Raw will be posted tomorrow.

Default Re: Being The Booker

Hey Wolfy, long time fan. So glad to see you're still going, better than ever. I'm going to do a quick Smackdown recap because you deserve some feedback for your great work.

So I'm glad Brock is angry about the MVP beatdown last week, I thought it was very odd he turned up on Raw all laid back boasting about team Smackdown having good unity a few days after getting attacked but this was good at showing Brock hadn't forgotten.

I'll be honest, I appreciate that getting McCool as manager and feuding with a new babyface MnM has freshened things up a little but I'm beyond tired of AMW. They seem to have been champions for the majority of this thread and I'd like to see some new tag teams take over to be honest. I was hoping their angle where they got fat and lost focus was signalling the end but it doesn't look like it. The beer bottle attack on Melina is different though and I liked it so I'm interested to see where it goes.

I've enjoyed the introduction of Danielson , he's been presented as a very good wrestler but you're not giving him the God push. I really like how he's clearly not fooled by Kendricks bullshit and is just humouring him, always nice to see a smart babyface.

Loved the switch from the Nemeth/Noble match and the after match angle into the Us Title match, it was something a bit different and incorporated 2 or 3 different storylines. One of my favourite things in this thread is how you interweve your storylines. Their is a clear tiered system but midcarders here aren't presented as jobbers and it gives the WWE a much stronger looking roster.

Can't wait for you to bring Sandow in, the Promos should be gold.

I've loved Ortons long dominant reign as Champion. He's been cowardly but when it's mattered he's manned up, all the while being a total arse. It's been the perfect heel champion reign. Really looking forward to his match with Naitch at Survivor Series. I'm hoping for a Team Flair win and possible title shot?

Wasn't really a fan of MVP losing his way onto the team. I know it was against a beast like Brock but I still don't think it's ideal. The little hints from heyman on Commentary about Brock are very very interesting. Has he lost his old killer instinct? Is a heel turn on the horizon? It's very subtle which I love.

Ending angle was good although the Last Ride match was a little underwhelming to be honest. Still, I'm sure it'll be a good match and hopefully its the start of the road to Edge FINALLY winning the title. It seems as though you've been teasing this from about 2005.

So there you go, I'm still really enjoying the thread, more than ever in fact. I tried to be as honest as possible in my review as you deserve that rather than me just saying I loved everything.

Hope you keep going for a long time

*Note; This show contains, quite possibly my favourite ever piece of back and forth between Coach and J.R. Look out for it after the Burchill match *

Monday Night Raw | October 29 2007 | Omaha NE

Raw opens cold again, straight into the Qwest Centre, where the General Manager Eric Bischoff is stood in the ring, ignoring boos from the fans. He gloats for a few moments, about running the biggest show in professional wrestling, and managing the most talented group of talent - the Raw roster. Bischoff then notes that tonight, he has been informed that they are joined by talent from the “inferior show, with inferior talent, and most of all … an inferior general manager.” With Eric pointing toward a sky box inside the arena, footage cuts away, showing a close up of the sky box - where TEAM SMACKDOWN are seen - and despite the running feuds (Lesnar & MVP, Batista & Cade, Nemeth & London) there is calm inside the box, with Arn Anderson sat in a chair, nodding and waving to the fans.

Back in the ring, Bischoff makes a few quips about Anderson taking notes on how to run a show successfully, whilst also stating that there is no need, “as in less than two weeks, you‘ll be out of a job anyway.” Bischoff makes comments about the in-fighting on Team Smackdown, suggesting that they don’t have a chance at the Survivor Series (ignoring the problems on his own team) and finally gets to his point, throwing down a challenge to Anderson to put up two of his guys against two of Erics guys - TONIGHT!! The fans cheer, and in the sky box, Anderson doesn’t even need to consult with his group - he nods in acceptance. Eric laughs in the ring, before suggesting that they make things interesting; “how about … I pick YOUR representatives … and YOU pick mine??”

This time Anderson turns to consult his team captain, Brock Lesnar, with Brock nodding to accept the challenge. Arn turns, mouthing toward the ring; “You‘re on, Bischoff.” Back in the ring, Eric has a wide grin on his face, chuckling as he merrily states “That‘s wonderful. I cant wait to prove just how pathetic your group is - I cant wait to prove just how DIVIDED your team is.” After waiting out boos from the fans, Eric then tells security to usher Double A from the sky box to meet him in his office where they can discuss just who will compete in the Survivor Series preview tonight, and Arn nods, quickly rising from his seat, pointing to Lesnar to keep order between the warring members of Team Smackdown. In the ring, Eric continues to smile, as his music hits.

Bischoff continues to stand in the ring, staring up at Team Smackdown, as J.R and Coach speak for the first time, hyping tonight’s show which will see - in addition to the just announced main event - Christian and John Cena TEAMING against Umaga, Estrada and Big Zeke in a Handicap match, plus Matt Hardy versus Mark Henry in a non-title match, AND - NEXT - Ken Doane versus Cody Rhodes for the final spot on Team Raw at the Survivor Series!!!

Commercial Break

Match 1 | WINNER TAKES SEVENTH SPOT ON TEAM RAW:
Ken Doane vs. Cody Rhodes
During his entrance, an inset promo from Cody Rhodes is played, where he demands that his brother fight him - or quit - vowing to call him out every week (after tonight, of course) until he does one or the other. The match is hard fought, and wrestled at a fast pace, with the two youngsters looking to impress. Doane looks to strike with a jumping STO, but Cody holds onto the ropes to prevent himself from falling - and Doane hit’s the mat instead, allowing Cody to cover in a jackknife, 1...2...NO!!! Cody drops Ken with a clothesline though to take control, and even cuts off a comeback from the 21 year old by going into Dustins bag of tricks and dropping down for an uppercut - much to the chagrin of the fans.

Cody then shapes up for Cross Rhodes, but Doane spins out, ducks a clothesline and cradles his opponent … 1...2...NO!!! Doane nails Rhodes with a picture perfect dropkick, and looks to ascend the ropes, shaping for his Sky High Leg Drop … but Cody in desperation leaps at the ropes … and Doane crotches himself!!! Cody climbs up now himself, aiming to deliver a superplex off the top, but Doane BATTLES back, clubbing blows to the ribs … and now … FRONT suplexes Cody off the top, and Rhodes SPLATS on the mat!!! Doane now repositions himself … standing tall … SKY HIGH LEG DROP CONNECTS!!!!! Doane turns Cody over, hooking the leg … 1...2...3!!!!!
Winner: Ken Doane @ 06:58
*Doane Qualifies for Team Raw*

Doane has done it - he’s in the Raw Survivor Series team!!! The youngster earns his slot the hard way, proving his worth now surely to Bischoff, overcoming the impressive Cody Rhodes. Doane has his arm raised, and celebrates his win - and takes the final spot on Team Raw, with the Smackdown superstars in the sky box seen watching on.

Backstage, Arn Anderson exits Eric Bischoffs office, and is greeted by Matt Striker, looking for the scoop as to who will compete in the main event tonight. Arn takes off his glasses with an exasperated look on his face, rubbing his beard before stating that “I‘m a little embarrassed if I‘m honest, Matt.” The Smackdown GM goes on to explain that he had every intention of “being civil”, but that “things got out of hand”, and in the end they’ve ended up picking pairings to test the togetherness of the teams with Eric picking Garrison Cade and Batista, “leaving me little choice, really Matt. He wanted to test my guys as a unit, and as a result … I picked Mr. Kennedy … and Rey Mysterio.”

Anderson excuses himself, and walks on, leaving Striker to stand with his eyebrows raised; it’ll be rivals teaming up tonight on Raw.

**WINGS OF A FALLEN ANGEL**

Entering to a smattering of cheers, Christopher Daniels, Doug Williams and Gail Kim enter the arena together, with J.R stating that we’ve got a DOUBLE contenders match coming up next; a six person tag match to determine the future #1 Contenders for BOTH the Womens and Tag Team Titles, leading into a plug for the Womens Championship at Survivor Series - the first ever ladies ladder match. The Angels of Anarchy and Gail make their way to the ring, awaiting the arrival of their opponents…

**POURQUOI?**

Maryse leads out her duo; Test and Tomko - TNT, with J.R reminding the fans that as a pair, TNT are undefeated, citing the influence of the sultry French Canadian in revitalising both mens careers. During their entrance, clips are shown of the tag team title match last week on Superstars, where The Master Craftsmen were caught cheating and subsequently disqualified, with Coach stating that Albright and Haas are very unhappy that this match is happening, as they believe they should get another chance at the titles as they weren’t truly beaten.

Commercial Break

Match 2 | DOUBLE CONTENDERS MATCH:
The Angels of Anarchy & Gail Kim vs. TNT & Maryse
Joined in progress, Test and Tomko are in charge, with J.R telling the fans that after a great opening exchange for the Angels and Kim, TNT and Maryse have gained the upper hand. With Daniels beaten down, Maryse is confident enough to request a tag, and despite some reservations, Test tags her in. Maryse throws a couple of kicks to the ribs of her downed opponent, enjoying herself … but then throws a third … AND IT IS CAUGHT!!! Maryse hops on one leg, with Daniels standing back up, smiling, wagging his finger, whilst Maryse begs for mercy … JUST AS TOMKO BLINDSIDES DANIELS!!!!! Williams now bounds into the ring, taking Tomko over the top with a clothesline, and then, Test rushes in, attacking Daniels, whilst Maryse rolls out of harms way, with Gail Kim in hot pursuit.

Test sends Daniels off the ropes, but the veteran ducks under a clothesline, then under a boot, before nailing Test with a step up enziguri!!!! The fans cheer, but Maryse comes from behind and clubs the back of Daniels. Daniels no sells the offence of the French Canadian, and grabs her arm, twisting it, before reaching out to a returning Gail Kim and tagging her. Gail leaps in, getting her hands on Maryse, taking her down. The Korean beauty looks to have it in hand, setting up to apply the Dragon Sleeper … BIG BOOT!!!!!! A sickening big boot from Test to Gail Kim!!!!! Test shows no sorrow for attacking a woman, almost kicking her head off her shoulders, sparking Daniels into action, attacking Test, with them tumbling out of the ring. Meanwhile, Maryse cant believe her luck, and drops down, smiling broadly, lateral press … 1...2...3!!!!!
Winners: Maryse & TNT @ 05:46
*Maryse & TNT have future Womens & Tag Team Title shots*

Earning themselves future title shots; Maryse and TNT upset the fan favourites!!! J.R is naturally disgusted with Test’s decisive action, almost decapitating Gail Kim with the boot, and indeed, Gail is still laid out cold from the boot, whilst Maryse, Test and Tomko meet at the bottom of the aisle in victory. She raises both mens hands, planting a kiss on their cheeks, DELIGHTED with her win to be the next challenger in line for either Beth Phoenix or Mickie James after Survivor Series … but with TWO massive advantages; Test and Tomko by her side.

In the ring, Daniels and Williams tend to Gail Kim, naturally disappointed to have missed out on that seemingly elusive one on one shot at the tag titles, but more concerned with Gails wellbeing at the moment. TNT and Maryse continue up the aisle, stopping to allow Maryse to blow a kiss toward the ring - adding a wink for good measure, before fading out on the image of the angry Angels of Anarchy, crouched down by Gail Kim.

Backstage, Ken Doane is seen wrapping up an interview with Todd Grisham for wwe.com, only to be met by Eric Bischoff. Doane doesn’t say anything, and waits for Eric to speak instead, with Bischoff begrudgingly congratulating Doane on his win earlier … then sternly warns ‘The Future’ not to screw up at the Survivor Series, with Ken getting the message, nodding. Point made, Eric looks to walk off - only to be met by Shawn Michaels. In the background, the fans cheer, and a serious looking HBK cuts to the chase tilting his head to look at Doane, and nods in his direction, before telling Bischoff; “He wont screw up … but even still … back off the kid.”

Eric smirks, telling Shawn he‘s glad to finally see some camaraderie on the team, but Shawn doesn’t dwell on it, cutting in; “Look, we got problems.” Initially, confused, Eric asks HBK to explain, with Michaels stating that KURT ANGLE is nowhere to be seen. “Now, I know you gave him the week off after he lost his Gold Medal … but the guy no showed last week - he aint here tonight, and no one has heard from him.” Bischoff rubs his forehead, not liking what he’s hearing, and admits to Shawn that he has been trying to contact him since his no-show last week … but hasn’t been able to reach Angle whatsoever.

“Yeah?? Well, we‘re getting pretty close to show time now. We‘ve less than two weeks until Survivor Series, and we need to hear from him pretty damn soon.” Eric nods, agreeing, and tells Shawn to “leave it with me.” Michaels shakes his head though, and tells the GM that that isn’t good enough, and suggests that it might be time to think about a replacement, citing Angles possible state of mind right now even IF he decided to show up at the Survivor Series, claiming it could be of detriment to the team. Eric sighs, and mutters that Shawn is right, and says it’ll be sorted, before leaving the scene. Michaels looks on, stony faced, before turning to Doane, congratulating him as the pictures fades…

Commercial Break

A short video package plays, hyping the FIRST EVER ladder match between two women in the WWE, at the upcoming Survivor Series, where past champions such as Trish Stratus and Lita commentate on what a watershed moment it will be for womens wrestling, whilst ladder match aficionados, Shawn Michaels, Matt & Jeff Hardy, Edge & Christian all comment on what the two divas are about to put their bodies through, and fellow divas of the division today such as Victoria, Gail Kim & Maria discuss how important the match is, calling it a great opportunity for womens wrestling to be put on the map, and even talk about being jealous that it isn’t them getting the chance to make history. The package then focuses on the two divas set to collide in two weeks; Beth Phoenix and Mickie James.

Match 3:
Burchill w/Katie Lea vs. Chet Douglas
The FCW talent is used as fodder for Burchill, who runs roughshod over the relative nobody, whilst Katie looks on approvingly. During the beating match J.R and Coach discuss the distraction last week, costing Burchill a spot on Team Raw - seemingly from Harry Smith, with his music playing during Burchills match, and Coach states that “having spoke to Paul and Katie earlier today - who make a lovely couple, might I add”, they still aren’t happy with what transpired last week, referring to Smith as a coward - just like the rest of the Hart family. Burchill finally puts an end to the beat down, finishing Chet with the brutal CURB STOMP!!! The cover is elementary, 1...2...3!!!
Winner: Burchill @ 02:44

Burchill wins convincingly, and instructs Katie to bring a mic into the ring with her, which she does. Putting his arm around his step-sister/girlfriend, Burchill sends out a challenge to Harry Smith, noting the ‘fancy show’ last week, which cost Burchill a place on Raws Survivor Series team, and smirks as he says “I know you‘re too embarrassed to show your face after being DUMPED in front of millions”, but says Harry should “grow some balls, and face me like a man, instead of hiding like a petty bitch.”

Katie and Paul then leave the ring, with J.R - once again - showing his utter contempt for the pair and their ‘relationship’, stating that Harry Smith should think himself lucky to be out of THAT family. Coach, of course, calls Smith a coward again, stating that “although The Coach has never been dumped before, if I were to be … I wouldn’t EVER show my face again.” J.R scoffs, then dryly quips “That‘s because you‘ve never been in a relationship.”

Moving on, J.R hypes the upcoming 3 on 2 match, stating that it’s time for Big Zeke - Coach’s personal bodyguard - to prove if he’s as tough as he looks, making his in-ring debut. Coach - as confident as ever - states it’s not just hype for Big Zeke; he’s the real deal, and he’ll help Umaga make mince meat out of Christian and John Cena less than two weeks before the Survivor Series. But, with footage cutting to the backstage area and the Master Craftsmen, J.R informs the fans that up next, The 2007 King of the Ring is in action.

Commercial Break

Back from the commercial, Albright and Haas are stood in the ring (Haas not dressed to compete), with a mic in hand. Focusing on last weeks outcome on Superstars, the Master Craftsmen declare that they should be stood here tonight with the tag team titles in their possession … “but instead, we witnessed the number one contendership passed down to … Test and Tomko??” After making their displeasure clear, Albright and Haas confirm that they aren’t out of the title picture, “and after we help Eric Bischoff see off old man Anderson, Charlie and I have a feeling we‘ll be given a very kind reward.”

Momentarily, footage cuts to the sky box to get a reaction from Team Smackdown for that comment, with a lot of head shaking going on. In the ring, Charlie acknowledges the presence of Team Smackdown, and warns them that they all seem to be focusing on Michaels, Mysterio and Kennedy - “but Raws best kept secret is right here!!”, claiming The Master Craftsmen moving from Smackdown to Raw as the decisive factor at the Survivor Series. He then tells TNT to enjoy their time as #1 Contenders … “because I gotta feelin it wont be for long.”

Match 4:
‘The 2007 King of the Ring’ Brent Albright w/Charlie Haas vs. Zack Ryder w/Curt Hawkins
Ryder looks to make an impression, but he’s unable to match the superior ability of the 2007 King of the Ring. Albright takes the youngster to school, toying with Ryder on the mat, outclassing him, and slaps the head of Ryder to add insult to injury. Albright soaks up the boos from the fans, and Ryder tries to pick himself up, getting some encouragement from Hawkins as he does. Albright though, continues to dominate proceedings, roughing Ryder up, but is unable to finish him off with his basic offence, which begins to anger the King of the Ring. He loads up, looking to hit the Ace in the Hole to finish the job … BUT RYDER ROLLS OUT!!!!!

Ryder rushes off the ropes, ducking a clothesline, then DROPKICKS THE KNEE OF ALBRIGHT!!!!! Suddenly, the fans begin to rumble slightly, as Ryder finds himself with a shot, catching Albright as he gets up with a flapjack!!! Almost unable to believe his luck, Ryder begins to fist pump around the ring, before pulling Bret back up, but Albright drives a knee to the gut. He sends Ryder into the corner, and rushes in - DOUBLE KNEE TO THE FACE!!!!!! Ryder catches Albright again, and pushes himself to the top rope, sizing Albright up, and dives off the top - CAUGHT - CROWBAR!!!!!!! Ryder taps instantly!!!!!
Winner: Brent Albright @ 04:05

Albright - despite a late scare - impressively gets the win, and is joined in the ring by Haas, with the pair stomping Ryder out of the ring, with Ryder helped by his fellow Party Boy, whilst holding his arm in pain. Albright and Haas stand tall, motioning to the fans that it was easy, with J.R putting the King of the Ring over, stating he and Haas to be two great choices as part of Team Raw - both men with a point to prove in two weeks time.

Backstage, John Cena is seen for the first time tonight - to a mixed reaction as always - with Cena in action; the 3 on 2 tag team match. J.R questions just how Cena and Christian will co-exist tonight after last weeks events, when despite being told Christian didn’t want his help, Cena still saved him from a beating at the hands of Umaga … then appeared to consider nailing Christian with a steel chair … but didn’t, calling it a confusing, awkward situation, before throwing to a video package of last weeks events…

**VIRTUAL VOODOO**

In action for the first time since the controversial Nemesis PPV, Umaga is led out by his handler - also in action tonight - Armando Alejandro Estrada, whilst Big Zeke is seen already pacing the ring, with The Coach hyping them as a dream team on commentary, and suggests that Cena and Christian might not even make it to Survivor Series. As talk turns to Survivor Series, J.R notes the previous video package, reminding the fans again of the worrying statistic for Christian fans; no one that has won a World Title at WrestleMania has ever gone on to successfully defend the title at a Survivor Series.

**MY TIME IS NOW**

Stepping onto the stage to salute the split audience, John Cena talks to the camera, stating that things could get wild tonight. Running down the aisle, he comes to an abrupt halt at the bottom of the ramp, with Umaga, Zeke and Estrada all stood waiting for him in the ring. Cena smirks, pointing to his head, as he waits for his tag team partner at the bottom of the ramp. Cenas music stops, and there is a momentary silence, long enough for a light ‘CHRISTIAN’ chant. Cena acknowledges it with a sly smirk, however light the chant may be…

{/SECOND HOUR}

**JUST CLOSE YOUR EYES**

As ever, it’s universal admiration for the fighting World Champion. Christian pounds his chest, looking out at his ‘peeps’, before making his way to the ring, where John Cena is waiting, hands on hips. Christian reaches the bottom of the aisle, and Cena can be heard asking the champ, “You ready for this??” Christian glances at Cena, before looking up to the ring at the three men waiting - and with two beasts either side of him, AAE is obviously confident - replying to Cena (without looking at him) “Let‘s get this over with.”

Match 5 | 2 ON 3 HANDICAP MATCH:
Christian & John Cena vs. Umaga, Big Zeke & Armando Estrada
Lot’s of stalling early on, with Christian and Cena both knowing they need to be smart in fighting the bigger guys. Umaga looks as imposing as ever, and overpowers Cena off a lock up in their first ever tussle. Cena nods, and goes for a lock up again, only to be thrown to the corner by Umaga, and before Cena can respond, Christian decides to tag himself in - much to Cenas dismay. Christian has a change of tact from Cena - with the experience of two meetings against Umaga already - and tries to beat the Bulldozer with speed instead, catching him with a shot and avoiding one in return.

Christian manages to stay elusive, angering The Bulldozer, but Umaga eventually catches Christian, HURLING him into the corner, and rushes in after him … but Christian swings and catches him with the pendulum kick!!! He then perches himself on the top rope … only for Cena to tag in off him!!! Returning the favour, Cena tells Christian “two can play at that game”, leaving the frustrated champion to smile and shake his head in disbelief, as Cena takes over … running off the ropes to launch at Umaga … ROLLING WHEEL KICK!!!! 1...2...NO!!! Christian shakes his head, as Cena gets nailed right away, and the tide has turned, as Raw goes to commercial.

Commercial Break

Back live, Umaga is still in control of Cena, applying a nerve hold, and cuts off an attempted comeback with a stiff clothesline. With the moment seemingly right, he is instructed by AAE to tag in Zeke, with Coach getting VERY excited on commentary, calling THIS an epic Raw moment. Zeke - still VERY green - keeps his offence basic and simple, hammering Cena with clubbing blows to the back, while eyeing up the champ too, who tells Zeke to let Cena tag out and fight him … but Zeke doesn’t take the bait. He hammers Cena down, choking him at the ropes with a knee pressed against the back. Cena again looks to spark a fight back, but is nailed with a clothesline again, before Zeke brings Umaga back in.

Umaga continues the punishment, much to the delight of Estrada, shouting to the ring that Cena made a big mistake last week, whilst Christian grows frustrated in the corner, with Cena in a bad way. Umaga sends Cena into the corner, stomping him down into the mat, and sizes up the brutal running butt splash … BUT HE MISSES!!!!! Cena dodges it, and looks to surprise Umaga with a school boy … 1...2...NO!!!!! Umaga kicks out, and Christian now reaches out, wanting a tag from the worn down Cena … but instead, Cena decides otherwise and tries to get Umaga up for the FU … NO!!!!! Umaga is too heavy and Cena is too worn down to get him up, collapsing under the weight!!!!! Umaga turns Cena over, covering, 1...2...NO!!!

Cena survives, but his decision not to tag out could be crucial, with Umaga dragging him back, tagging in AAE, who stomps the back of Cena. After nearly getting caught - only to be saved by Umaga, Armando quickly tags out to Zeke - and breathes a sigh of relief. Zeke then clamps on a basic bear hug, taking the life out of Cena (and the crowd), with Cena forced to dig deep to survive again, hammering blows to the temple of Coach’s bodyguard - AND EVENTUALLY BREAKS THE HOLD!!!!! Cena runs off the ropes, ducking big shots from Zeke … AND FLIES WITH A SHOULDER - TAKING ZEKE OFF HIS FEET!!!!! Cena now - finally - crawls to make a tag to Christian … but Zeke grabs his leg at the last minute!!!

Cena tries to fight free, taking his eyes off Christian for a moment whilst kicking Zeke off … just as Estrada trips the champ off the apron!!!!! Cena kicks free from Zeke, and reaches … BUT HAS NO ONE TO TAG!!!!! He looks around, and sees Christian in pursuit of Estrada, and is furious!!! Cena tries to catch his partners attention, shouting to the outside at him to get his attention … but he is then blindsided by Umaga!!!!! Umaga (now legal) drags Cena up, looking for the Spike, but Christian now comes to the aide of Cena, tripping Umaga from the outside, and dragging him out of the ring, only for the Bulldozer to shove the champ into the steps!!! Umaga then rushes at him, but Christian dodges away - AND UMAGA CHARGES INTO THE STEPS!!!!!

In the ring, Zeke has Cena up, looking to hit a Dominator … but Christian saves Cena again, dragging him off, and after a momentary face off, the two combine, ducking down at the charging Zeke, dumping him out of the ring!!! Now, Cena and Christian are alone in the ring, and they are face to face, with both having gripes to air with the other, as Christian motions about the tag that should’ve been made earlier, and Cena asks about where Christian was when he tried to make a tag. As the stand off goes on and tension increases, both men have taken their eyes off the opposition - and it costs them, with Zeke tripping the legs of Christian and dragging him out of the ring, while Estrada tries to sneak up on Cena with a chair - BUT IS CAUGHT!!! Cena catches AAE, ripping the chair from him, and throwing it outside, then takes him down … STFU!!!!!

Estrada taps like crazy, but obviously he isn’t the legal man … and Umaga drops a leg across the back of Cena!!!!! On the outside, Christian reverses a whip from Zeke, sending him into the barrier, and then climbs back onto the apron, making a tag off Cena as he is sent into the ropes, but as Cena comes back he nails the throwback on the ducked down Bulldozer!!! He looks fired up, and ready to pounce … but Christian is in, and he confuses Cena by dragging Umaga up - and Cena shoves his partner!!! Christian shoves back, explaining he made a tag, and Cena looks LIVID, hands on hips … before being ushered from the ring. Christian drags Umaga up, looking for the Unprettier … but Umaga shoves him away, toward Cena with the two nearly colliding and again share a look … but Christian turns away … SAMOAN SPIKE!!! Umaga covers … with Cena attempting to step in … but CHANGES HIS MIND … 1...2...3!!!!!
Winners: Umaga, Big Zeke & Armando Estrada @ 11:51

Cena decides NOT to save Christian, and drops down from the apron, leaving the ringside area, as Umaga has his hand raised - officially beating Christian for the very first time - but with Cena out of the picture, Estrada spots an opportunity, and calls in Big Zeke from the outside, motioning for the Dominator. On the aisle, Cena stops, looking up at the tron, spotting what’s going on in the ring. Zeke pulls the struggling champion to his feet, getting him up with ease - DOMINATOR!!!!!

Christian is drilled by Coach’s bodyguard, as Cena looks conflicted, whether he should help Christian or not - knowing Christian doesn’t want his help - and pissed off with the champion as it is … but with the fans boo’s ringing in his ears, he sees enough, with Umaga pulling Captain Charisma to his feet … and turns, RUNNING TO THE RING!!!

Cena runs around the ringside area, looking for an equalizer before going to war, grabbing a chair … but by then, Estrada has spotted him, and quickly tells Umaga and Zeke to leave the ring. The three exit, as Cena enters, chasing them off, telling the trio from the ring that they aren’t so tough now.

Cena stands at the ropes, jawing with the three, as AAE laughs it off, leading Umaga and Zeke out of the arena, behind the curtain. Cena stands at the ropes still, shaking his head at the three, turning to help Christian to his feet … BUT CHRISTIAN KICKS HIM, GRIPS HIM, TAKING CENA BY SURPRISE…

… UNPRETTIER TO CENA!!!!!

There’s an uproar in the Qwest Centre, as Christian drops Cena - payback for Cena not saving the match perhaps???!!! The champion gets to his feet, looking down at Cena loudly stating “ASSHOLE”, before leaving the ring in anger - and Cena face down in it. He takes his belt, selling the damage he suffered himself, cranking at his neck, whilst J.R nearly has a coronary on commentary, stating that the rising tension between the two men has just boiled over.

Coach obviously loves it, stating the two biggest goody too shoes on Raw have cracked!!! Christian - looking pissed off still - marches through the curtain, whilst Cena struggles to look up, trying to push himself to his feet, looking up toward the aisle, where Christian leaves, as we head to commercial…

Commercial Break

Backstage, Batista and Garrison Cade - with Anderson between them - make their way through the hallway, getting awkward glances from the Raw employees, as Arn is heard telling both men that he’s arranged a makeshift area for them to get their gear on, with a random worker set to arrive at any minute from their hotel with their bags, and makes sure to tell both he needs them to forget their differences for now, and show Bischoff that they mean business.

Exchanging an awkward glance at each other, Batista and Cade both seemingly agree, as Arn points to a room, telling them they shouldn’t be disturbed. He looks set to leave them … but once they enter the room, Arn appears to have second thoughts - obviously not trusting the pair - and decides to walk into the dressing room too, in order to keep them at peace for the time being…

J.R and Coach welcome the fans back to Raw, quickly discussing the previous - shocking - events where Cena didn’t save Christian initially, but when he did, he was given an Unprettier for his troubles. Meanwhile, back live, in the ring, Theodore Long stands ahead of his troops, with a confident look on his face…

He addresses the crowd, telling them not to fear, despite The Brotherhoods very existence being in doubt at the Survivor Series, “we WILL prevail, playas.” He goes on to quote Martin Luther King, stating; “The ultimate measure of a man is not where he stands in moments of comfort and convenience, but where he stands at times of challenge and controversy.”

After waiting out boos, Long states that at this moment, The Brotherhood face an almighty challenge amidst the controversy of not getting a rightful rematch for the Intercontinental title … “but these soldiers … these brave men and woman behind me … WILL be measured at da Survivor Series when we overcome the evil forces threatenin OUR people!!!”

Teddy then issues a warning to anyone who decides to link up with Hardy that they will be lining up for the same treatment as Matts brother this past Friday, “and dat very same treatment will be passed on to Matt in just a short moment or two by the worrrlds STRONGEST man, Mark Henry. Ya feel may??”

**LIVE FOR THE MOMENT**

Matt Hardy has heard enough!!! Even with the odds he’ll be facing tonight around the ring, Matt has no trepidation, pumping up the fans, before pacing down the aisle, with Theodore clearing the group out of the ring, as Mark Henry takes off his shirt, staring down Matt as he makes his way to the ring … and it soon becomes clear why Matt isn’t scared, with the Intercontinental Champion looking back toward the stage with a smile …

AS STRAIGHT EDGE WALK ONTO THE STAGE!!!!!

CM Punk and Greg Helms appear from behind the curtain, joining Hardy, with J.R assuming that the World Tag Team Champions have joined Matts team, bringing his group to four - with one place remaining.

Match 6 | NON-TITLE MATCH:
Mark Henry w/The Brotherhood vs. Matt Hardy w/Straight Edge
The mere presence of Punk and Helms at ringside helps even the score, despite the numbers still being in The Brotherhoods favour, any shenanigans will be spotted by the tag team champs. Matt obviously struggles with Henry being the bigger man, and after his best punches barely leave a dent, Matt attempts a running cross body - BUT IS CAUGHT!!! Henry delivers a trio of rib breakers, before throwing the champ to the mat. Henry punishes Hardy, and sets Matt in the corner, looking for a Banzai Drop … BUT MISSES!!!!! Hardy spots the opportunity, and stomps the hell out of the big man, then quickly hops up, dropping a leg off the middle rope, covering … 1...2...HENRY POWERS OUT!!!!!

Henry THROWS Hardy off, with Matts eyes bugging out in shock, whilst the Brotherhood look impressed. Matt now goes for it all, kicking Henry in the gut, lining up the Twist of Fate, but Henry shrugs him off, then BLASTS Hardy with a thunderous clothesline. He covers, 1...2...NO!!! Henry looks angry, and now hauls the champ up, looking for the Worlds Strongest Slam, but elbows from Matt stop it, and he drops to his feet, nailing the big man with everything he’s got, then pulls off THE SIDE EFFECT!!!!! This time, Hardy doesn’t bother to try and cover, and instead wills Henry up, wanting the Twist of Fate … BUT SHELTON BENJAMIN HIT’S THE RING - PAYDIRT!!!! Disqualification.
Winner: Via DQ - Matt Hardy @ 03:58

Hardy wins, but via DQ, with Benjamin stomping the champ down, only for Punk and Helms to hit the ring, attacking Benjamin … while the rest of The Brotherhood file into the ring too, making the odds far too great for the Intercontinental and Tag Team Champions. Benjamin, JTG, Monty and the recovering Henry all put the boots to the trio …

… AS JEFF HARDY NOW RUSHES TO THEIR AIDE!!!!!

Matts brother Jeff runs to the ring, sliding inside, ducking a clothesline from Henry, and blasting JTG with a firm forearm!!! He sidesteps Monty Brown … WHO POUNCES HENRY BY ACCIDENT!!!! And then, Jeff kicks Shelton in the gut, and throws him at Theodore - knocking him off the apron - before catching the returning Monty with a kick also - TWIST OF FATE!!!!!

Alicia Fox is in hysterics on the outside, tending to Theodore on the outside, whilst Straight Edge and Matt Hardy get to their feet, and, along with Jeff, they close in on a frightened looking Benjamin … who drops down, rolling out of the ring, taking the high road, after the surprising turn of events with Jeff saving the day for Hardy and Straight Edge, gaining revenge for Smackdown.

He helps drag Long to his feet, holding him up with Alicia, whilst JTG pulls Monty from the ring, and Mark Henry looks to blow the cobwebs away by leaning on the steps after being Pounced by his own team mate. In the ring, Matt hugs his brother, before Jeff shakes hands with Helms and then Punk, welcoming them to the team, with the four men standing tall, having gotten the better of The Brotherhood tonight.

**VIDEO PACKAGE**

The video opens very cinematically, in black and white, inside a mansion, and the first thing we see is a crying Melina. Sobbing, she calls out;

ONLY ON PAY PER VIEW

Backstage, we see both Rey Mysterio and Mister Kennedy (with Miz behind him) stood either side of the desk in Eric Bischoffs office, with the GM telling the pair he brought them in to cool things between them, telling both men he doesn’t want to be embarrassed tonight by Smackdown on his own show, and that tonight he wants them to be a well oiled machine. Rey looks up, staring at Kennedy, with Ken snapping “What are you looking at!?”, forcing Bischoff to raise his voice and tells Kennedy to settle down.

Kennedy butts in, telling Bischoff he marches to his own drum, and he wont just get along with Rey because Eric tells him to. The 2006 King of the Ring then follows up, stating that Eric doesn’t need to worry, “because I don’t like losing”, going on to say that he’ll win tonight - just like he will at Survivor Series; “not for you, not to save your job … but because it‘ll benefit me. I don’t need to get along with Rey for that happen. He just doesn’t need to piss me off.”

With that, Kennedy storms off, but Miz sticks behind. Mysterio nods at Eric, softly telling the GM “don’t worry about it”, before leaving himself. Miz STILL sticks around, with Eric giving the reality star a dirty look, before he crouches down, offering his services to Bischoff as a replacement for the AWOL Kurt Angle. Eric scoffs at the thought, almost laughing as he tells Miz to go away, insulting him by stating he’d rather go to Survivor Series a man down than with Miz on the team. Miz is stunned by the frank admission, and with Eric pointing to the door, he shuffles off, leaving the office in humiliation…

In the arena, Jillian Hall is in the ring already, getting a jobber entrance…

**SO FINE**

To a good response, Mickie James bounces into the arena, back to her vibrant self, full of belief with the deciding match in the Best of Five series with Beth coming in less than two weeks at the Survivor Series - in the first ever ladies ladder match - as the graphic appears on the screen to hype it.

Match 7:
Jillian Hall vs. Mickie James
Essentially a squash match, with all of Halls offence coming in the opening moments when she jumps Mickie from behind during her entrance, climbing the ropes. Hall is unable to really make the most of the early advantage, and Mickie turns the tables, getting the upper hand back with a Lou Thesz press. She then wails on Hall with mounted punches in the corner, and finishes her off with the Mickie-DT, scoring an inevitable … 1...2...3!!!
Winner: Mickie James @ 02:24

Mickie is victorious, and has her hand raised in the air, with her momentum building ahead of the first ever ladder match in WWE history for women. J.R hypes the match some more as she leaves the ring, putting over her remarkable comeback from the brink of disaster to being now - literally - a step away from recapturing the Womens Championship.

Mickie reaches the top of the ramp, saluting the fans, pumping her hand in the air, smiling broadly, looking happy and confident - UNTIL BEING BASHED WITH A LADDER - BY BETH PHOENIX!!!!! Beth jousts the ladder into Mickies back, sending the former champion to her knees, then jabs her with it again to put her down, before finally smashing the ladder off the back of Mickie!!!

Phoenix stops the assault there, not picking the ladder back up, as Mickie squirms, groaning in agony, as Beth stands over her, bending down to tell her; “That‘s just a taster, Mickie. I cant wait to punish you some more at the Survivor Series.” Beth stands, raising her arms in victory - to boos - whilst Mickie remains on the steel flooring, holding her back in agony, with J.R disgusted at the actions of the champ, as we fade out…

Commercial Break

The show returns with Kelly Kelly standing by with The Hardys and Straight Edge, to massive cheers. She talks to them about tonight, running off The Brotherhood, and then looks for Matt to confirm if Punk and Helms are joining his team. Matt tells Kelly that he’ll let Punk and Helms answer that question for themselves, and while Punk nods along, Helms explains how far back he goes with Matt and Jeff, and seeing as he and Punk don’t have anything else lined up for Survivor Series, they’d love to help Matt see off The Brotherhood and keep his Intercontinental Title.

Hardy then takes over again, telling Kelly that The Brotherhood thought they’d get the jump on Jeff on Smackdown to scare him off, and Jeff takes over - “but it just got me more fired up!!” Matt explains that they knew at some point The Brotherhood would try the same tonight, which is why they left their surprise - Jeff - until he was needed to catch The Brotherhood off guard. Kelly then mentions that right now, they have four - but need one more man to complete the team. Matt, with a smile, tells Kelly his fifth man will be at Raw next week, and promises that The Brotherhood will love it when they see him…

Back at ringside, J.R and Coach discuss the nights events thus far, with the main event to come “imminently”, and after some hype for the Survivor Series, they announce that word has just reached them from WWE HQ in Stamford that the Commissioner Jesse Ventura has declared a preview for the Survivor Series next week on Raw, with the captains of Team Raw and Team Smackdown picking the representatives in a five match series, featuring the other six members of their teams!!! Not only that, but Coach - excitedly - announces that John Cena and Christian will both be his guests on the Playas Club!!! J.R calls it a combustible situation that cant be missed - just six days before the Survivor Series…

**I WALK ALONE**

The music of Batista fills the arena, to a good - albeit rather mixed - reaction for The Animal. Attention cuts to the sky box, where Team Smackdown watch on intently, with London and Finlay both clapping Batista, showing support for their team mate while the rest watch on…

Commercial Break

Main Event | SMACKDOWN VERSUS RAW:
Batista & Garrison Cade vs. Rey Mysterio & Mr. Kennedy
The early going is slow and ponderous, with both teams kept together, albeit with the underlying tension clear to all, and a long glare between Cade and Batista nearly blows them apart after what Cade believes to be a hard tag from his partner. The tension blows over, but Kennedy is able to capitalise on the argument, jumping Cade from behind, and after a basic period of offence, he applies a wristlock and tags in Rey, who leaps into the ring with an axe handle to the arm. Rey picks up the pace for a moment, too quick initially for Cade, but he looks for a seated senton off the ropes - AND GETS POWERBOMBED!!!!!!! 1...2...NO!!!

Cade shoves Rey into the corner, and lights him up with an array of stiff rights and lefts, before nailing a STIFF knife edge chop. He tags Batista, telling him to top that, and The Animal takes up the challenge, driving shoulders into the gut of Rey, before nailing him with an open handed chop to the chest, and asks his partner what he thought of that. Cade smirks, asking for a tag back, which he gets, and he then shoots the masked lucha into the corner - HARD!!! Again, he asks Batista to top it, with Dave taking up the challenge, dragging the rag doll up, and he sends him into the corner - and Rey this time bounces out, such is the velocity.

In the opposite corner, Kennedy looks disgusted - not at the opposition - but at Rey, unhappy with his partner being dominated like he has been. Kennedy, frustrated, drops down off the apron, getting in the faces of J.R and Coach, telling them that Eric Bischoff cant be serious about Rey being on the team, pointing back at the ring, and calling Rey a soft target. He slams the cover of the table to show his frustration, while in the ring, Batista and Cade continue their contest, hitting firm suplexes each - but both are only good for a two. Batista shoots Rey off the ropes, but Mysterio slides under the legs of Batista, then hops onto the ropes, saulting back, and taking the big man off his feet, then tags in Kennedy!!!

Kennedy quickly gets to work, cutting off the ring on Batista, with the tables turning against the Smackdown team, as the camera cuts to the skybox, where Smackdown continue to watch intently. Kennedy impressively wears down Batista, but the strong bull from Smackdown impressively powers back to his feet, only for Kennedy to back into the corner with a side headlock still applied to allow Rey to tag in. Rey now gets to show his true ability after a beating earlier, getting the better of Dave due to his quickness, and has The Animal in position for the 619 … but CADE shoves Batista out of the ropes to safety!!! J.R is shocked by Cade helping his foe, as Rey even looks surprised, with Raw going to it’s final commercial of the night.

Commercial Break

Back live, it’s now Cade in trouble, with J.R filling the fans in that Batista made a tag out, only for Cade to get caught with a knee to the back from Kennedy (not the legal man) which turned the tide back in Raws favour. Kennedy (now the legal man) has a side headlock applied, but cant keep The Lone Star down, with Cade freeing himself … only to get caught - MIC CHECK!!!!!! Kennedy covers, 1...2...BATISTA BREAKS THE COUNT!!!!! Now, The Animal helps his enemy, with J.R impressed with the professionalism of both Smackdown men tonight, but Kennedy is irate. He continues the punishment, driving through Cade with a Facewash, before tagging in Rey again.

Mysterio keeps the heat on, but soon tags Kennedy back in, with the 2006 King putting the boots to the Lone Star, targeting the arm, setting up perhaps for the Krossface … but Cade fights it, and elbows Kennedy away, ducking a clothesline, catching Ken on the return by surprise and delivers a SIDEWALK SLAM!!!!! Both are down, and both partners stretch out their arms, looking for a vital tag … as Cade crawls toward The Animal … Kennedy inching near to Rey … AND BOTH MAKE THE TAGS AT THE SAME TIME!!!!!

Batista bounds toward Rey, but Rey ducks under, launching himself at Dave, but is flattened with a SPINEBUSTER!!! Batista bounces up, and the fans know what is next … as The Animal shakes the ropes, with a wild look in his eyes. Thumbs up - thumbs down; IT’S BATISTA BOMB TIME!!!!! He drags Rey up to his feet … as we see ERIC BISCHOFF sprinting down the aisle!!!!! In the sky box, Arn jumps up from his seat almost instantly in a rage … but the camera cuts back to the ring, where The Animal sees Eric coming, shoves Rey away, and DRILLS Eric as he jumps onto the apron with a right hand!!!!! But Kennedy nails Batista from behind right after it!!!!!

{/OVERRUN}

Kennedy then holds Batista down at the ropes, ordering Rey to hit the 619, with the worse for wear Mysterio setting himself, looking for it … ONLY TO GET BOOTED IN THE FACE BY CADE!!!!! Kennedy then lets go of Batista, meeting Cade, going punch for punch, until Cade drives into the gut of Kennedy with a deep knee. Kennedy doubles over, and Cade sends him over the top, turning around … RIGHT INTO A SPINEBUSTER FROM BATISTA … DRIVING HIM ONTO REY!!!!! Batista gets his hands on Cade, but does it to the advantage of the team, drilling him ONTO Rey, and rolls Cades carcass out of the way, before dragging Mysterio up … BATISTA BOMB CONNECTS!!!!! Cover, 1...2...3!!!!!
Winners: Batista & Garrison Cade @ 10:49

Batista not only gets the win for Smackdown, but he gets a well aimed shot at Garrison Cade too, to help win the match!!! He has his arm raised, but doesn’t get to celebrate for long, with Kennedy attacking him from behind!!! The Miz arrives on the scene too - sucking up to Bischoff by helping him to his feet, and the GM orders him to get Batista. Like a loyal dog, Miz rushes into the ring, helping his mentor put the boots to Batista…

AS TEAM SMACKDOWN MAKE THEIR WAY TO THE RING TO MAKE THE SAVE FOR BATISTA!!!!! WITH CHAIRS AND CHAINS IN HAND!!!!!

Anderson gives his men the consent - obviously enraged by Erics botched run in - and they hit the ring, forcing Kennedy and Miz to take the high ground, with Brock and Finlay swinging and just missing the pair with a chain and shillelagh respectively … but Rey remains in the ring!!! Double A looks conflicted as to whether or not to punish Rey - who has done nothing wrong - but he takes a look at the dishevelled Raw GM at the bottom of the ramp, and points at him, yelling, “THIS IS ON YOUR HEAD!!”, before seemingly giving his team the go-ahead to punish Rey!!!

Mysterio is doubled over in the corner, naturally begging off from the men - armed with weapons - bearing down on him, led by Lesnar, with MVP and Nemeth standing at the ropes, preventing anyone from getting into the ring. The fans cheer as HBK walks onto the stage, followed not only by the rest of Team Raw, but a vast majority of the ENTIRE Raw roster. Porter and Nemeth get the attention of the rest of the team, letting them know what’s going down, with Lesnar telling them not to let the Raw guys in the ring, and then knees Rey in the gut!!!

The faces of the Raw roster now swarm the ring - with the heels all deciding against facing their rivals considering they are holding weapons, and the weapons in the hands of the Smackdown guys keeps them in control despite the numbers game, punishing the Raw guys with the weapons, putting a beating on them - all except for Garrison Cade who is furious with Anderson on the outside at Batista - but it doesn’t make a difference, with Smackdown in control of the Raw roster…

**MEDAL**

There is a HUGE cheer in the Qwest Centre and KURT ANGLES music blares into the arena … and then the sight of the Olympic Champion - not seen since handing over his medals at Nemesis - causes the place to ERUPT!!!! With that unmistakeable intensity, Angle sizes up the scene … BEFORE SPRINTING DOWN THE AISLE AND INTO THE RING!!!!!!!

He clotheslines Finlay, then beats London to the punch, knocking him down … THEN CATCHES NEMETH - OVERHEAD BELLY TO BELLY!!!!!! Now, the tide is turning, the numbers of Raw becoming too much for Smackdown, as Cade is the first to leave - still upset with Batista - hopping the barrier. Meanwhile, the heels of the Raw roster now join in, no longer being chicken shits, and together, Raw unites to run off Smackdown, with Angle catching Lesnar with a Belly to Belly also, but cant apply the ankle lock, with Lesnar rolling out to safety.

On the outside, Anderson points in Bischoffs direction, telling him he’s to blame for the mess, claiming that the Raw GM forced his hand tonight, while Eric is beginning to gloat now that his team have gained the upper hand. Smackdown depart through the crowd, as the Raw stars stand tall - thanks to the returning Kurt Angle. A few members of the roster pat Angle on the back, with Kurt barely acknowledging anyone, until the excitable Miz jumps all over Kurt, hugging him and looks for a high five - CLOTHESLINE FROM ANGLE!!!!!

Angle blasts the annoying reality star, with Miz tumbling out of the ring, and quickly, HBK cuts off an enraged Kennedy, whilst Angle points at the Monday Night Juggernaut, spewing all kinds of pent up anger that’s undecipherable. Kennedy is ushered out of the ring by Michaels, and the rest empty … leaving Angle and Mysterio only in the ring. Rey is on his knees, clutching his gut, looking in pain, and looks up at Angle, who is still heavily breathing after his insane run in. The fans quieten down, expecting something from Angle … but Kurt instead backs up, stepping through the ropes, leaving the ring, and departs up the ramp, blanking Bischoff, as the show goes off the air…

In a preview of sorts for the 5 on 5 Survivor Series match in a week and a half, Monty Brown defeats Greg Helms with thanks to Mark Henry, who appeared from the crowd as the referee ordered Theodore Long, JTG and CM Punk from ringside after they got involved. Henry delivered the Worlds Strongest Slam to Helms, allowing Monty to score the pin @ 06:10.

Smackdown opens COLD, into the arena…

**ALSO SPRACH ZARATHUSTRA**

Ric Flair isn’t wasting a second, and he marches onto the stage, taking off and throwing down his jacket, taking off his tie, and rolling up his sleeves, as Styles and Heyman comment that no one has been able to calm Ric Flair down all day, and he has been pacing around the building waiting for the show to come on the air - with Orton apparently in hiding all afternoon. Flair steps into the ring, grabbing a mic, and doesn’t waste a second, shouting Ortons name over and over - right over his own music - demanding that the WWE Champion get out to face him right now, telling the fans he cant wait for another nine days.

**VOICES**

Slowly entering, Randy Orton walks onto the stage, trying to calm the situation, but he barely gets a word out, and sees FLAIR COMING FOR HIM!!!!!! Orton drops the mic, and wanting to avoid the crazy old man, he backs away, through the curtain, not wanting any part of the wild eyed Nature Boy … but Flair wont stop coming for him!!!! Flair exits through the curtain also, but the cameras don’t follow … and the fans boo. The camera sticks to the entrance for a few more moments, before finally cutting backstage … WHERE ORTON IS STOMPING DOWN FLAIR!!!!!

Flair is kicked in the ribs, and rolls back through the curtain, followed by Orton, who must’ve tricked Flair with a sneak attack of some fashion, and he bashes Flairs head off the steel grating. Flair stumbles down the ramp to the ring, with Orton stalking him down, pinning him up against the steel steps … but Flair RAKES the eyes!!! Orton spins away, holding his face, with Flair coming up behind, clipping the back of the knee!!!!! The legend now lets loose on Orton, stomping him, kicking him, clubbing him … BITING Ortons face, before hammering at him relentlessly.

Flair rips his own shirt off, and chokes the WWE Champion, as Orton turns blue, reaching for anything to try and free himself. Flair eventually releases, and then backs Orton up against the ring apron, lighting him up with half a dozen chops, before he throws Orton into the ring, but as he climbs up onto the apron himself, Orton kicks the ropes, kicking them into the nuts of Flair. Flair winces, and the ragged Orton quickly gets Ric into position by the ropes … FOR THE HANGMANS DDT … AND NAILS IT!!!!!

Boos ring out for Orton, as he sits in the ring, eyes narrowed - with a demonic look in his eyes - and Styles sounds VERY worried for Flair. Orton licks his lips, as he gets himself into position on the mat, fists clenched, punching the canvas … FOR THE PUNT!!!!! Orton sets himself, having to wait as Flair recovers from the DDT, and struggles to a position … WHERE ORTON COMES TO KICK HIM … LOW BLOW!!!!! Flair counters the punt with a low blow, driving his forearm in- well, you know how it works.

Orton doubles over, wheeling away from Flair, who pulls himself up using the ropes, and BOOTS Orton in the nuts!!!!! Orton drops to his knees, with Ric standing over him, placing Randy in a headlock, hammering him with right hands to the face, showing no mercy to Orton. Flair lets go, but instantly, Orton rolls under the bottom rope and out of the ring, with the fans booing. Orton shoves security out of the way, and hops the barrier, wanting to get as far away from the maniacal Nature Boy as possible.

In the ring though, Flair picks his mic up again, shouting to Randy to come back, claiming the fun was just getting started, as he wanted to introduce him to the next member of Team Flair … another man that Orton punted a while ago that wants payback. While a lot of fans chant ‘Y2J’, it’s not who Flair is talking about…

**BAD DREAM**

Tommy Dreamer - viciously punted in the run up to Summerslam - walks onto the stage, with a Singapore Cane in hand, searching out to the general direction where Orton escaped to, motioning for Orton to come on up. In the crowd, Orton shakes his head, shouting that Dreamer isn’t even on the roster, claiming it to be unfair, whilst Flair barks from the ring that Orton doesn’t stand a chance of Surviving in nine days time, saying “PAYBACK. IS. A. BITCH!!!!!” With his music playing again, the fired up Flair continues to challenge Orton to the ring, yelling off the mic, as Orton walks away, pushing past fans, looking for the nearest exit, whilst Dreamer gives Flair a thumbs up from the stage, before fading out…

Commercial Break

After the clips from the mayhem that kicked off the show, which saw the previously injured road agent Tommy Dreamer unveiled as the newest member of Ric Flairs Survivor Series team, Styles and Heyman discuss the main event tonight; a No DQ tag match pitting Brock Lesnar and Batista against MVP & Garrison Cade in a bold attempt from Arn Anderson to end the problems between the four before Survivor Series, as Heyman claims it could blow up in his face and make those problems WORSE…

Match 1:
Finlay vs. X-Pac
A short filler match, to continue giving the veteran Irishman some added credibility in the run up to Survivor Series. X-Pac gets his own offence in, causing Finlay problems, but not enough to actually get the job done. In the end, Finlay is able to get the better of his fellow veteran, finishing him off with a Celtic Cross, for an emphatic 1...2...3!!!!!
Winner: Finlay @ 03:39

Gaining himself momentum, Finlay scores another TV victory. Styles puts over the veterans experience as being vital for the at odds Survivor Series team, stating that his current winning run has come at the perfect time with just nine days until the 7 on 7 match.

Gloating to a bored looking Dean Malenko about his win over Hardcore Holly on Superstars, The Brian Kendrick drones on, until Malenko - with delight - greets the arrival of Bryan Danielson to the scene, glad to be saved from having to listen to the CW Champion. Kendrick looks slightly put out by Danielsons presence, and is forced to take a back seat as Malenko talks to Danielson about his impressive start to life in the WWE. TBK butts in, letting Malenko know that he helped get Danielson his job by “letting him win” a few weeks ago.

Danielson plays along again with Kendrick, once more thanking him for doing such a nice thing, then informs the pair that he has a chance to earn a shot at the Cruiserweight title tonight as part of a fatal four way. The news rocks Kendrick, with his eyes bugging out, quickly asking “what cru- MY cruiserweight title??” Bryan nods, smiling as he pats the shoulder of Kendrick, telling him it’s all thanks to him, and says if he wins tonight, he’ll dedicate his win to Kendrick - as a thank you for the help. Kendrick - high pitched - replies with a “Really?? That‘s… I… uh, thanks.”

Danielson smiles, asking TBK how great it would be to try and prove himself against Kendrick, and TBK nods - but with some trepidation - trying not to show that he’s been rattled by the news, tries to be his usual confident self when he states “yeah, it will be … but uh, hey, I wont be able to go easy on ya this time, okay!?” TBK nervously laughs, as Danielson enjoys seeing the cocky champ squirm, slapping the shoulder of Kendrick before putting an arm around him, turning to Dean and saying to him, “Aint he just the coolest guy!?” Danielson ruffles Kendricks hair before making his way off the scene, leaving TBK with a lot to think about.

Back at ringside, NICK NEMETH joins the commentary team for the next match, stating he’s here to dissect the performance of the guy “masquerading as the Golden Boy”, Paul London. Chris Masters is already in the ring, waiting for London…

**STAY IN SHADOW**

Getting his usual reaction, Paul London steps onto the stage, hoisting the U.S Title aloft, with Nemeth remarking on commentary that the belt would look so much better around HIS waist, but claims that London is doing everything he can to avoid meeting Nemeth one on one ever since he beat London last month.

Commercial Break

Match 2 | NON-TITLE MATCH:
Chris Masters vs. Paul London
After struggling against the powerful force of Masters in the early going, London settles into the match, using his quickness to bewilder the Masterpiece, but nearly finds himself being caught in a Masterlock, only to slip out before the hold could be applied, and is able to catch the bigger man with a step up enziguri!!! Getting set to climb the ropes, he is distracted by Nemeth, who is now off commentary, and instead trash talking the U.S Champ … with London deciding to leap off the top - ONTO NEMETH OUTSIDE!!!!! After the cheers for the big risk, London climbs back into the ring - only to be met by a recovered Masters, cutting the Golden Boy off with a Polish Hammer!!! Again, he looks for a Masterlock, but again, London avoids it, dropping down, into a pinning combination, 1...2...NO!!! Back up, Masters knocks London down, then sends him off the ropes, but London flies back, looking for a cross body - only for Masters to dodge it, and London crashes into the official!!!!!

The referee is down, and quickly, Masters pounds down London before he can get back up. With the referee down, Masters looks to bend the rules, choking London for as long as he wants at the ropes, before stomping him repeatedly in the corner without having to break. He drags London out of the corner, sending him off the ropes again, but London ducks under, coming back, right into a collision!!! Both men hit the canvas and struggle to their feet, with Nemeth now back in the equation, with the U.S Title in his hands, and looks to throw it inside to Masters - CAUGHT BY LONDON INSTEAD!!!!! London catches the belt, and SMASHES Masters … THEN SMASHES NEMETH TOO!!!!! London throws the belt out of the ring, and climbs up top … 450 SPLASH CONNECTS!!!!! The referee slowly recovers as the count is made, 1...2...3!!!!!
Winner: Paul London @ 07:01

London gets the better of Masters - even with the help of Nemeth - getting a couple of shots in on Nemeth too, ultimately winning the match. He holds his title, stepping up the buckles to celebrate, but takes a long look at the outside, where Nemeth is recovering, holding his jaw to sell the effects of the belt shot. Nemeth can be heard over the commentary table asking Heyman and Styles if it “looks bad” pointing to his jaw, and is also heard saying “it better not swell.” London continues to stand tall in the ring, challenging Nemeth to meet him inside … but Nemeth - still holding his jaw - waves it off, and storms off, leaving up the ramp, angry that his jaw could be bruised.

Back at ringside, Heyman and Styles discuss the previous match, declaring that the budding rivalry between Nemeth and London may just be ready to explode, before transitioning to another feud that has well and truly bubbled over - that between the Murdochs and the Caribbean Connection. Styles announced that Carlito and Kofi HAD challenged Trevor and Festus to a match tonight, but the Murdochs declined the challenge, and instead took the night off, but DID record a video from their ranch…

The video opens in what looks like a shed, and the two brothers sit on a very old looking sofa, explaining that they declined the challenge tonight - NOT because they don’t want to face the Caribbean Connection, but that when they do, they want it to be on their terms. Trevor goes on, saying that ever since arriving in the WWE, he and his brother have been “the good soldiers” doing everything they were told to do, facing whoever they were asked to, but ever since they were overlooked for the tag team title #1 Contender tournament, things have changed.

Festus now talks for the first time, talking about the lack of support from the WWE during their time off after he was knocked out cold by Carlito, “except for one person.” He doesn’t name the mystery man, but says that like them, he was also cast aside and forgotten about by the WWE, despite doing everything asked of him - just like them. He says that the mystery man helped pay for his medical bills and helped pay for the therapy to cure him of his previous “tick.”

Trevor takes over once more, stating that ever since they had their eyes opened by their mystery money man, they’ve finally decided to put themselves first, and state that from this day forward, they don’t dance to anyone elses beat - they’ll only fight on their terms, when it suits them. The brothers then state that as far as they’re concerned, the Caribbean Connection should be happy about that, because when they do eventually meet again, it wont be just a case of trying to win, or revenge - next time they meet, they’re looking to put Carlito and Kofi out - for good.

Back at ringside, Styles and Heyman ponder who could be the mystery man behind the change in the Murdochs, with Heyman quipping that given the amount of people the McMahon family have screwed over the years, the list of people on a suspects list could be endless. Styles moves on from one tag team rivalry to another, giving an update on the condition of Melina after she was brutally struck with a glass beer bottle last week on Smackdown by James Storm.

Narrating over still images - claiming the video to be too upsetting for some viewers - Styles tells the fans that Melina was taken to hospital, and could miss quite some time - if she is ever able to return at all, with broken glass going in her eye, blinding her, claiming that it’s only a 50/50 chance she will regain full sight. He then informs the fans that MNM will also be taking a leave of absence, fully approved by the WWE, as they look to take care of the injured Melina - meaning they are OUT of the Team Flair vs. Team Orton Survivor Series match.

Styles takes the chance to make a quick dig at the Murdochs, stating that MNM wanted to thank the WWE for all their help and support since last week, stating that MNM dropping out of the Survivor Series isn’t the important thing, but that the wellbeing of Melina is, before mentioning that AMW will be issuing a public apology tonight, stating that given their reaction last week, he believes that even AMW realised that it went too far. He then goes back to hyping the main event tonight; Brock Lesnar and Batista vs. MVP & Cade in a NO DQ match, and says he hopes Anderson has made the right decision by making this match between the rivals - but prospective team mates at the Survivor Series.

“THE INTELLECTUAL SAVIOUR OF THE MASSES”
COMING TO SAVE SMACKDOWN; SOON

Kristal Marshall stands by backstage with Layla, asking her about the actions of The James Boys last week on Smackdown, when they assaulted Jamie Noble. Layla tells the interviewer that her boys finally made the right decision, shunning the disgusting trailer park lifestyle, ditching the ripped denim and lumberjack shirts for style and class. She claims that she has now styled the James Boys in her vision, and that next week, the new and improved James Boys will be unveiled for the first time. She then makes a challenge to Noble - he and a tag team partner versus her boys, next week. Trailer Park vs. Catwalk, Inelegance vs. Class … Failure vs. Success.

**THREE SUNS AND ONE STAR**

To pretty brutal heat, AMW and Michelle McCool walk onto the stage, dressed smartly for a change, and with solemn looks on their faces. Styles again reminds the fans of what happened last week with James Storm breaking a beer bottle on Melinas face, and that tonight, they’ll issue a public apology for their actions - NEXT.

Commercial Break

Back in the ring, Michelle McCool waits out boos, before talking about the “horrible accident” last week, and how James Storm didn’t mean for anything as bad as what happened, and simply got caught up in the moment. She says that he has been feeling horrible all week, “and while Melina may have the physical scars … James has the emotional scars.” The boos ring out, as McCool tries to paint Storm as a victim, and rubs his back as he lowers his head, then passes the mic to Harris, who shakes his head at the heat.

Harris talks up his friends character, saying that Storm is one of the kindest individuals he has ever met, who would wish no ill on anyone, stating that he’s proud to call Storm his best friend. More boos ring out, with Harris demanding that the fans do not persecute Storm for his mistake last week. He plays on what McCool said, about the emotional pain that Storm has been through, claiming that The Cowboy hasn’t been able to sleep all week due to the guilt, “and he hasn’t even been able to look at beer - and we all know how much he loves beer.”

Shaking his head, Harris demands that the fans show some sympathy for Storm, and hands the mic off to Storm - amidst brutal heat from the fans. Storm - sunglasses on - rubs his beard, shaking his head, before finally speaking up, saying he’s sorry, “but sorry doesn’t seem to be a big enough word for the hurt I‘ve caused.” Storm thanks Chris and Michelle for all their support over the last week - again, painting himself as the victim, before admitting that “perhaps” he went too far last week with his actions, rhetorically asking if the WWE Tag Titles were worth it… … “You damn right they are!!”

{/SECOND HOUR}

The heat is FIERCE for AMW, as all three smile now, with Storm having to raise his voice over the heat, declaring that Melinas “pretty face” was a price worth paying for them to keep the titles, remarking that they haven’t held the tag belts for eleven months by being nice. Michelle quickly chips in with a catty remark on Melina, saying that Storm did her a favour anyway, claiming that “her mangled face now will be an improvement.” After chuckling together, Storm takes the mic back, and says he honestly did feel guilty - all three of them did … “for about ten minutes!!!”

Holding up the belts, he and Harris then claim that the guilt soon washed away when they came to the realisation that they are STILL the champs. Harris goes on, admitting that they are “guilty as sin - and proud of it”, stating that just like Storm, he’d do it too without hesitation - claiming that that is why they are and have been champions for so long. Storm takes the mic back, telling the fans they’ve said all the sorry’s that MNM will get … “but we‘ve got just one more … boys, Melina … we‘re sorry … about yo‘ damn luck!!!”

Smiling, Storm drops the mic, high fiving McCool and hugging Harris, soaking up the heat, much to the disgust of Styles on commentary, claiming them to be the perfect partners for Randy Orton at the Survivor Series, being as callous and as desperate as the WWE Champion in their greed for gold. Heyman partly agrees with Joey, talking about the tag champions being desperate to keep the belts, but says that unlike the other teams, they are willing to do ANYTHING to keep the titles, which is why they’ve been so successful, and that cant be disagreed with…

Backstage, Bryan Danielson is seen walking through the hallway, with the Fatal Four Way match to determine the #1 Contender for the Cruiserweight Title coming up next…

Commercial Break

Match 3 | #1 CONTENDER FATAL FOUR WAY MATCH FOR CRUISERWEIGHT CHAMPIONSHIP:
Chavo Guerrero vs. Sonjay Dutt vs. Bryan Danielson vs. Kid Kash
Fast paced, frenetic cruiserweight action - as you’d expect. Chavo and Sonjay quickly pair off, playing off the rivalry between Los Latinos and Dutt & Daivari on Superstars over the last month, leaving Danielson and Kash to pair off also. Chavo and Dutt fight on the outside, leaving Bryan and KK in the ring, with Kash eventually knocking the indy darling over the top, but only landing on the apron. Danielson then blocks the rushing Kash with a knee, before spotting a chance, and runs along the apron, delivering a flying knee to Sonjay on the floor!!! Chavo slips inside the ring, looking to capitalise, and shoots off the Three Amigos, but when he goes for the Frog Splash follow up, Danielson pulls Kash out of the ring!!!

Guerrero crashes and burns, with Danielson rolling back in, lighting him up with stiff kicks to the chest, then a roundhouse!!! He looks to cover, but Sonjay attacks him, kicking him out of the ring, getting the cover, 1...2...NO!!! Dutt then runs off the ropes, but Kash lowers the top, forcing Dutt out, and he now climbs back in, taking it to the recovering Chavo, looking to hit the Dead Level, but Danielson springs off the top rope, taking out Kash with a clothesline!!! He gets up, but is met by Chavo, who slows Danielson down, sending him off the ropes, eventually delivering a tilt-a-whirl backbreaker for a near fall. Dutt rejoins the action, and all four men are in the ring, with Dutt and Kash joining forces, going into a commercial break.

Commercial Break

Back from the break, the heels are still in control of the action, with Chavo dumped outside the ring, to allow Kash and Dutt to focus on Danielson. They get him up top, looking for a double superplex, but Chavo returns to the ring, stopping Dutt, taking him from the corner with a POWERBOMB!!!!! Kash is unable to execute the superplex, and instead, Danielson fights back, pushing Kash off the top, and flying with a diving head butt!!!!! Both Chavo and Danielson have a cover, 1...2...NO!!! Both men look up at one another, before going at it, trading blows, punches and chops, back and forth, until Danielson attempts a German Suplex, only for Chavo to counter into a roll up, 1...2...NO!!!! They continue to battle, until Dutt and Kash break it up, once again coming together to take out the opposition.

Chavo is dumped from the ring, and Kash with Dutt, tries to go back to where they were earlier, getting Danielson up top, looking for - and executing the double superplex!!! After a few moments of selling the effects, Kash rolls onto a cover, 1...2...BROKEN BY DUTT!!! Dutt pulls Kash off, and covers himself, 1...2...BROKEN BY KASH!!! Now, the two heels argue and bicker … and while they do, Chavo sneaks in, covering Danielson himself, 1...2...BROKEN BY KASH AND DUTT!!! Kash and Dutt get back on the same page, taking the fight to Chavo, but soon, they begin to have ideas of their own again, with Kash throwing Dutt out of the ring, before looking to capitalise on Chavo, but is dragged from the ring by the furious Sonjay.

In the ring, Chavo and Danielson reacquaint themselves, but don’t fight, and instead take a look to the outside, nodding, then rush across the ring, both aiming to dive through the ropes … but Chavo - LYING to Danielson - stops short, with Bryan diving to the outside onto Kash and Dutt!!!!! Chavo cheekily shrugs, getting a mixed reaction - but still mainly cheers - and rolls out, throwing Dutt back inside, leaving Danielson and Kash outside, looking to hit the Gory Bomb … AND DOES!!!!! He covers, 1...2...FOOT ON THE ROPE!!!!! Dutt is saved by the ropes, with Chavo in disbelief. He now climbs the ropes, once again wanting the Frog Splash … BUT DANIELSON IS BACK UP - AND SHOVES HIM OFF THE TOP!!!!!

Chavo crashes into the barrier, with Danielson climbing back into the ring, opening up with kicks to Dutt, but as he goes for a roundhouse, Kash comes from behind, running Danielson into the corner!!! Kash throws Dutt out of the ring, landing on Chavo, and then picks Danielson up, looking for Dead Level … but as he gets him up, Danielson shifts his weight, landing behind … DRAGON SUPLEX!!!! Instead of going for the cover though, Danielson turns Kash over … AND APPLIES THE CATTLE MUTILATION!!!!! The already deadly submission is locked on, and whilst Kash tries to fight it for a moment, resistance is futile … with Dutt and Chavo both out of commission, he has no other option … BUT TO TAP!!!!!
Winner: Bryan Danielson @ 13:34
*Bryan Danielson is #1 Contender for the Cruiserweight Championship*

In just FOUR weeks, Bryan Danielson has gone from (relative) obscurity - to a title shot!!!!! Danielson has his hand raised by the official, with Joey Styles giving the hard sell on Danielson being the most impressive addition to the Cruiserweight division in quite some time, calling him a genuine contender already, and says that The Brian Kendrick may well be on borrowed time as champ!!! Heyman also puts Danielson over, reminding the fans that Danielson has been successful all across the world, winning championships in every continent, and now, he’s brought that success to the WWE, and has his sights set on the Cruiserweight title.

**VIDEO PACKAGE**

Backstage, Josh Mathews is standing by … with RIC FLAIR!!!!! After the obligatory “WOOO” from the fans, Mathews asks Flair about the events which transpired earlier in the night, but Flair quickly takes the mic, taking over the interview - still seething with the WWE Champion. Shouting, Flair calls Orton a gutless coward, repeating gutless with every other word, telling Josh that without his Daddy to protect him, Randy hightailed it out of the building tonight, but says that at the Survivor Series he’ll run no more.

Now, RVD joins the scene, cool and calm as ever, putting an arm around Flair, telling the Nature Boy to “chill.” Van Dam explains that they both have their issues with Orton, but to take comfort in the fact that in less than two weeks, Orton pays a heavy price, having to face not just them - but Dreamer too. Bringing in Tommy (carrying his Singapore Cane of course), RVD welcomes him back, with Tommy nodding, telling RVD it’s great to be back, and that he cant wait to deal out some EXTREME punishment at the Survivor Series, thanking Flair for having faith in him to be part of the team.

Flair prods Tommys chest, telling the Innovator of Violence that he deserves to be part of it just as much as he or RVD does, welcoming him aboard. Van Dam smiles, then tells Josh that the team is almost complete, and since MNM cant be part of it (adding in a ’get well soon’ for Melina) he’s found the perfect replacements … Carlito and Kofi Kingston. The Caribbean Connection enter the picture, high fiving and shaking hands with their fellow team members, with the five man squad completed.

Excitedly, Van Dam tells Mathews that he’s even got them a “kick-ass team name - like they used to have at the Survivor Series” before thumbing his shoulders while saying they are “THE WHOLE-DAMN” … and then mocks a Flair strut while saying “STYLIN, WOOOO, PROFILIN” … then grabs the Singapore Cane, leaning toward it, “EXXXXTREME” … then points at Carlito and Kofi, “CONNECTION!!!”

Briefly, all five men smile, with RVD then taking the mic again, telling Mathews that right now, he’s smiling … “but come Survivor Series, I‘m gonna be as pissed as Naitch and Tommy. Payback for Orton has comin and in nine days, he WONT survive!!!” As the team disperses, with Tommy rattling the cane off the wall, Flair gets in one final “WOOOOO”, before departing the scene.

On screen, a caption is shown, claiming that we’ll hear from Edge … NEXT!!!

Commercial Break

A video package airs, recapping what happened at the end of last weeks episode of Smackdown, when The Undertaker announced the Last Ride match at Survivor Series, which will bring a definitive end to his feud with Edge…

Now - not in the arena - Edge is seen, standing by a hearse, with an evil grin etched on his face. Repeating the phrase “last ride” over and over, saying that all he’s been hearing all week is that at the Survivor Series, he’ll be going for HIS last ride, courtesy of The Deadman. “But that‘s not how my story ends. I wont be going for the long trip to hell in the back of this hearse. No, Undertaker … you will.” Going on, Edge reminds the fans that he’s back for one reason only - the WWE Championship.

Bringing up the fact that he is barred from challenging for the title for a year, Edge calmly states he doesn’t have a year to waste, and he HAS to make the “powers that be” change that ruling, and according to him, the quickest way to make them stand up and take notice of him, is by “slaying the dragon” at Survivor Series, “bundling him in the back of this hearse … NEVER to be seen again.” Edge claims that his issue with Taker ISN’T personal, “but it is necessary.”

Getting more frenzied, Edge says people think he’s crazy for challenging The Undertaker like he has, but is defiant that he was left with no other option … “and maybe I am crazy. But try my shoes for size. How would you feel if you‘d been prevented from holding what is rightfully yours?? How would you feel, if you‘d seen other people holding gold that should belong to you??” He then turns to the hearse again, opening the back door, “I‘m not crazy … just desperate … and desperate times … call for … drastic … measures”

The video ends, with the camera focusing in on the interior of the hearse, and the heavy breathing of the maniacal Edge, before fading out…

Back at ringside, Styles and Heyman talk up the desperation of Edge, and how it’s truly ‘do or die’ for the Rated R Superstar at the Survivor Series, which helps them segue into Survivor Series build up, running down the card … which now includes the Cruiserweight Championship; The Brian Kendrick vs. Bryan Danielson, officially added to the line up. They also focus on Randy Orton still only having a four man team, with speculation as to who Orton could call on to be his fifth man, with just over a week to recruit that elusive team member…

Finally, they come to the Raw vs. Smackdown match, reminding the fans of a 5 match series on Raw this coming Monday, where Brock Lesnar and Shawn Michaels will pit their six team mates against the opposition in four singles matches and one tag team match, but they wonder what kind of condition the members of Team Smackdown will be in on Monday, with tonight’s main event to come; No DQ, Lesnar & Batista vs. MVP & Cade, with Kristal set to interview MVP and Cade … next.

After the odd video plays for the second straight week, Kristal is standing by backstage, with MVP and Garrison Cade. Asking them about tonights showdown with their rivals, Lesnar and Batista. Porter starts out, taking umbrage with the fact that Lesnar and Batista have run the team like two dictators, not allowing the rest of the team to have a voice, blaming Anderson for picking “a meathead like Lesnar” as the captain in the first place. Cade then steps in, saying regardless of whether Lesnar should be captain or not, he is … “but Batista seems to have appointed himself co-captain. Like he‘s some kind of big deal??”

Porter nods, adding that Lesnar and Batista don’t even like each other, claiming that the rest of the team don’t even respect Brock and Dave, saying that it’s a joke that he had to earn his way on the team, when it was clear to all that he should’ve been in the team from the get go. Cade nods, telling Kristal that he or MVP would’ve been much better candidates for captaincy, saying MVP would never have stood for the cheap shot Batista got in at Cade on Raw - and MVP nods along. Cade states that he “doesn’t do cheap shots” saying he’ll get his revenge tonight - face to face - with Batista, and MVP adds that he and Cade will show Brock and Batista what team unity truly is - in the ring.

Backstage, a jubilant Bryan Danielson is congratulated by some members of staff, as well as fellow cruiserweights … before seeing The Brian Kendrick, who has his back turned, and is playing on his phone. Danielson pats the back of the champ, with TBK turning around, barely acknowledging Danielson, with Bryan asking Kendrick if he saw the match. Kendrick grunts a reply, saying he caught some of it, with Danielson telling him (if he didn’t know) that he won, and now they’ll meet at the Survivor Series.

Danielson offers a handshake, but Kendrick ignores it, blowing the whole thing off, telling his next challenger, “that‘s cute. Look, I‘ve got more important things to worry about. Stop crowding me, kid.” Kendrick then walks off, clearly angry - surely realising the threat that Danielson will be bringing at the Survivor Series. Meanwhile, it seems like Bryan knows it, as he watches the champion skulk off - and smiles, nodding.

**I WALK ALONE**

The reaction is big for The Animal, who strides onto the stage, looking as fired up as usual, in action again after a win on short notice on Raw. Styles and Heyman discuss again the potential for Arn Andersons decision to make the tag match tonight a No DQ match to backfire, rather than draw a line under the problems on the team, and maybe make them worse. Batista reaches the ring, waiting for his partner tonight - another person he clearly doesn’t care for, despite teaming up tonight…

**HERE COMES THE PAIN**

Another big reaction greets the Smackdown Team Captain, Brock Lesnar, who paces quickly down the aisle, as focused and as intense as ever. Batista continues to also pace the ring, as the tension builds, with the main event … next.

Commercial Break

Main Event | NO DISQUALIFICATIONS:
Batista & Brock Lesnar vs. Garrison Cade & M.V.P
Back and forth in the early going, neither team takes advantage of the No DQ stipulation initially, wrestling a regular tag match with all four getting ring time, but simply go through the motions. Eventually, with Batista in the ring for the first time in the match with Cade, the gloves come off, and the brawl begins. They fight to the outside, trading big haymakers, knocking each other around, with Batista getting sent into the ring post. Cade then charges in, but Dave sidesteps, shoving Cade on, with him hitting the post, and Batista takes the opportunity to grab the steps, DRILLING Cade with them - and it’s all legal. He throws Cade back into the ring, going for a cover, 1...2...NO!!! Cade gets a shoulder up, just before MVP was able to save him anyway. Lesnar also threatens stepping in to deal with MVP, but doesn’t.

Batista batters Cade, and tags in Brock, with the Iron Man taking advantage of the stipulation, bringing a trash can into the ring, but a timely distraction from MVP allows Cade time to recover, and he boots the trash can into the face of Brock!!! Batista then looks to intervene, but MVP attacks him from behind to save Cade. Now, with the heels in control, Cade and MVP take it to Lesnar, but also take an opportunity to put his partner out of commission, with Cade smashing The Animal with the trash can, giving them a sizeable 2 on 1 advantage over Brock. Despite the No DQ stip, both men are still forced to legally tag in and out, with double teams only at a premium, and the Iron Man is able to survive the beating, but is unable to turn the tide with MVP and Cade in control, going into the commercial.

Commercial Break

And, upon the return, clips are shown of Cade suplexing Batista on the floor during the commercial, and MVP scoring a near fall off the Drive By kick on Lesnar. Back live, MVP has a chinlock applied, but Lesnar doesn’t fade, fighting to his feet, elbowing free, but a knee to the back from Cade on Lesnar allows Porter to capitalise, slamming Lesnar to the mat. MVP appears to be getting cocky, and thinking he has Brock in trouble, takes his time over the Ballin Elbow … AND MISSES!!! Lesnar rolls out of danger, and on the outside, Batista trips Cade off the apron, allowing Brock to deliver the Belly to Belly on MVP, turning the match around, as he tags in a refreshed Batista. The Animal doesn’t waste time, and chucks Porter out of the ring, following out, looking to nail him with a chair, but from behind, Cade rips the chair from him - AND NAILS BATISTA!!!!!

Cade helps his partner out, and they then get the announce table readied by peeling off the cover and removing the monitors for a double suplex, but Brock comes to the aide of his partner, fighting with MVP, whilst Cade is unable to hit the suplex … and Batista LOW BLOWS Cade … before hitting A SPINEBUSTER - PUTTING GARRISON CADE THROUGH THE TABLE!!!!! Montel could be in deep trouble now, with The Lone Star out of commission, and he tries to get away, but isn’t able to, with Brock and Batista getting him back in the ring. Begging off, MVP tells them to think about Survivor Series, but after a brief look at one another, Brock and Dave decide against letting him off, and go to work on him. MVP is thrown around, with Brock hitting another Belly to Belly, before Batista drills him with a running power slam. Brock peels him back off the mat, getting MVP up … F5!!! The cover is made, 1...2...3!!!!!
Winners: Brock Lesnar & Batista @ 14:02

Lesnar and Batista come together to win, and in impressive style, leaving Cade among the rubble of the table, whilst MVP eventually became a crash test dummy, with both men having their way with him in a 2 on 1 scenario. However, as the two men leave the ring, Batista doesn’t seem to be done, and he chucks the steel steps into the ring!! He gets the groggy Cade, and throws him into the ring too, with Lesnar stopping on the ramp with a puzzled look on his face.

Batista stomps MVP out of the ring, setting the steps up … AND SHAKES THE ROPES - signalling for the Batista Bomb … onto the steps??? He gets Cade in position, and indeed, it looks as if he wants to hit the move onto the steps, with Lesnar rushing back to the ring, looking to stop Batista. The Animal tells Brock to get out of the way, but Brock refuses to budge, telling Batista to be sensible. Dave throws Cade to the side, and now comes face to face with Lesnar, and the two get in each others faces.

Brock is heard telling Batista to think about it, pointing at MVP and Cade, saying that they made their point, “but we still need them for Survivor Series. You put him on the shelf, then what?? We go in at a disadvantage right off the bat.” Batista - hands on hips - looks angry, looking away from Lesnar, wanting to punish Cade, but obviously knows Brock is talking sense … and he pushes past the Iron Man, shoving him, before storming out of the ring in a huff.

The Animal walks up the ramp, mumbling in anger as he leaves, whilst Brock looks over at their beaten foes, before focusing on Dave, shaking his head, clearly worried about the state of mind of one of his main team mates, with just nine days until the vital Smackdown versus Raw Elimination Match at the Survivor Series, as the show goes off the air…

Default Re: Being The Booker

Took me ages but this is what i think i would like to see next year at Mania. I know its just a PPV Card and not a whole storyline or anything like most of you guys are doing which may i say is absolutlu amazing to read! but anyway this is what i came up with that i believe would make quite a good wrestlemania next year. Opinions Please?

*I also made the show and extra hour longer than the usual 4hours because some matches i believe have the potential to be amazing if they are given the correct amount of time. So i believe the PPV should be just in and around 5hrs or so with the pre-show not included in the time slot because it has its own hour before the show begins*
