Default Re: Being The Booker

No time to get on here over the weekend, so I'll forego the usual Superstars & Preview post and go straight ahead with the double whammy; Superstars & Smackdown - the last show before Cyber Sunday.

No predictions yet though, please.

WWE Superstars | September 12 2007

Finally, after nearly a two month absence, Jerry Lawler takes his chair back on Superstars, joining Todd Grisham and getting a big ovation from the fans.

Tyson Tomko defeated Val Venis @ 04:12 with the Big Boot, but the talking point from the match was the presence of Maryse at ringside throughout, but leaving up the ramp once the count was made. Tomko himself looked confused at the blondes presence as he had his hand raised.

Making his return to a WWE ring as a member of the Smackdown roster, with a new biker gimmick, Chuck Palumbo defeats a local jobber @ 04:34 thanks to a Pumphandle Slam.

Gail Kim defeats Jillian Hall @ 08:33 with the Flying Dragon submission in an excellent showcase for the Korean.

Before the entrances for the main event, CODY RHODES from the crowd, attacks Jerry Lawler on commentary, with his brother Dustin joining the attack, beating the Hall of Famer down in the ring … UNTIL KEN DOANE races to the ring to make the save!!! With a 2 on 2 situation, Cody retreats, ordering his brother to come with him, as they scarper up the ramp, telling Lawler - and Doane - that this isn’t over.

In the main event of the evening, Jeff Hardy defeats Mike Knox @ 07:57 with the Swanton Bomb.

Friday Night Smackdown | September 14 2007 | Fort Worth TX

The show opens directly in the ring, where all six competitors in Sundays Elimination Chamber are in the ring, with a podium set up as GM Arn Anderson explains that all six will have thirty seconds to state their case as to why they should be the last man to enter on Sunday, with Double A offering the champion, Randy Orton the right to speak first…

Orton steps forward, but wastes the first five seconds of his time listening to the jeers from the fans, before going on to reiterate everything he has said over the last four weeks - succinctly - reminding the fans he’s beaten every single challenger in the match, and as the defending WWE Champion he should be afforded the right to have a championship advantage by entering the Chamber last. His promo doesn’t go down too well with the fans in Texas, with it seeming unlikely that Orton will win them over in time for Sunday.

Next up, Batista tells the fans not to listen to Ortons bullcrap about having beaten him already - going down the Lesnar route, he says the champion needed help to do it, and now, it’s time for Orton to pay the piper. The Animal goes on to tell the fans he’s sick of waiting for his time to come and that come Cyber Sunday the Animal WILL be unleashed and he WILL be walking out WWE Champion, but they can make the task a little easier for him by making him the last man to enter.

Just as his time runs out, Garrison Cade steps forward, with he and Batista nose to nose - forcing Anderson to step in, and remind them that they have each other later tonight, but if they come to blows now, the match is off, and he WILL remove them from the Chamber. Paul London comes forward, patting Batista, trying to talk sense into his pal, with both The Animal and the Lone Star backing away from one another, but pointing fingers and talking trash as they do.

London stays at the podium, taking the opportunity to have his say. London points out the fact that he will be the smallest man in the chamber - but he has the biggest fight in him, and knows that if the fans vote for him to be the last man to enter, that advantage will be enough for him to become the first - and most unlikely man to ever hold both the United States & WWE Championships at the same time. As Londons time runs up, RVD steps forward, sharing a few friendly words with the Golden Boy as he walks away.

Van Dam - as laid back as ever - is very ‘whatever’ about the whole deal, saying that the fans can vote him to be the last man, “or not, it‘s cool”, before getting more serious, saying he’s slowly getting back to being the RVD of old, and he’s “this close” from finally getting his revenge on Randy Orton, telling the fans that they have the chance to guarantee a new WWE Champion … and his name is Rob … Van … Dam.

Cade steps up, but doesn’t do a whole lot to enamour the fans, calling this all a waste of time, admitting that he knows the fans wont vote for him, “I‘m not flashy, I‘m not full of catchphrases, and I don’t kiss your asses … so don’t think I‘m about to start now” … Cade talks over the boos, saying he’s waited for the spotlight long enough, and whether first or last, he’s winning the Chamber match. Cades time runs up, with the big Texan turning to leave the podium … and has Brock Lesnar stood right in front of him. The two behemoths stand face to face, with Cade sneering at the Iron Man, before walking away.

Finally, Lesnar steps forward, telling the fans he doesn’t ask for anything - and wont, and simply tells the fans to ask themselves who they believe has the best chance of winning the WWE Championship this Sunday … and whoever they think that is, they should vote for them. “If that’s me?? Great. If it’s not?? It’s a wasted vote because come Cyber Sunday … I will be WWE Champion”.

Just as his time runs out, Lesnar is confronted by Orton, with the two arguing off mic, as Orton tries to tell Lesnar he WONT be WWE Champion, and looks for a cheap shot, but Lesnar blocks it … THEN CHUCKS ORTON OVER THE TOP ROPE TO THE FLOOR!!! It all looks set to break down in the ring, as Cade and Batista come face to face again, but London and RVD step in to keep the two apart, as Anderson lays down the law to the two men too, with Cade taking the high road, and leaving the ring, as London, RVD, Lesnar and Batista remain, with Batista pacing like a mad man, whilst the other three keep an eye on The Animal, who looks like he could explode at any given moment.

Commercial Break

Backstage, we see the arrival of THE BRIAN KENDRICK - now officially the longest reigning Cruiserweight Champion EVER - who looks around, expecting some kind of welcoming party, and asks a stagehand “where is it?? The streamers, the girls, fireworks??” The stagehand shrugs at Kendrick, as TBK walks through the hallways, as if expecting a surprise party … but gets nothing - not even a few words of congratulation from anyone…

At ringside, Nick Nemeth is on his way to the ring, as Heyman demands a celebration for Kendrick, but Styles says that as far as he knows, there isn’t one planned tonight, and indeed the only Cruiserweight action he knows of if the Gauntlet between the challengers later. They then move on to talk about the upcoming match, with Nemeth meeting Finlay in a rematch from their contest two weeks ago, where Nemeth needed to cheat to win.

**LAMBEG**

Finlay enters - with a mic - and gets straight to the point, telling Nemeth he knows the kid can wrestle, and he’s seen him do plenty of talking, but he wants to see if Nemeth can fight too, challenging ‘The Narcissist’ to a BELFAST BRAWL. Nemeth though, rejects the challenge, laughing it off, saying he’s an athlete; “not a caveman”. He says he’s here to be the best wrestler, and he refuses to ruin his good looks to have a fight with Finlay, making fun of Finlays looks, crooked teeth and scars, saying he couldn’t look at himself in a mirror if he looked like him.

Match 1:
Nick Nemeth vs. Finlay
Despite Nemeth rejecting the Belfast Brawl, Finlay looks to make a fight of the match and rough up the Narcissist, beating him around the ringside area, giving Nemeth a lesson, not allowing the undefeated newcomer the chance to wrestle to his strengths, forcing the youngster to fight instead. Nemeth tries to walk out, holding his jaw, worried about his good looks, but Finlay refuses to let him go, throwing him back into the ring … but once back inside, Nemeth is able to take charge. He takes over, working the veteran over, showing off his true abilities - but isn’t able to hit the Ego Boost, with the Irishman avoiding it.

Finlay then mounts a comeback, giving Nemeth a scare with a succession of near falls, but Nemeth cuts it off with a perfect dropkick - but he cant put Finlay away. Getting frustrated, Nemeth then begins to remove the padding from the turnbuckle, right in front of the referee - forcing the official to step in. Chad Patton admonishes the blonde haired newcomer, then tries to place the padding back on … whilst Nemeth grabs Finlays SHILLELAGH … AND RATTLES THE VETERAN WITH HIS OWN WEAPON!!!!! Nemeth smiles, getting rid of the evidence, before hooking the leg, getting the 1...2...3!!!
Winner: Nick Nemeth @ 06:25

Nemeth has to cheat to beat Finlay again, but this time he doesn’t have to run from the ring, crouching over the Irishman, pointing to his brain as if to say he doesn’t need to fight in brawls because he’s smart enough to use weapons and get away with it anyway. He has his arm raised whilst Styles bellows from commentary “so much for not being a caveman!! Ugh.”, and Nemeth delightfully walks away from the ring, fixing his hair on the way, smirking, whilst Finlay remains out on the mat.

Commercial Break

Backstage, we see a suited MVP stood conversing with X-Pac, saying it’s good to have him on Smackdown now etc, and stops Elijah Burke as he walks by - mistaking Eli for a gopher, telling him to ‘go get me a coffee, kid’, placing a $20 into Burkes hand. Porter turns to speak to X-Pac again … with Eli still standing there, looking down at the money. MVP, still not realising that Burke is a wrestler, asks if he’s never seen a twenty before, and tells Eli to get going. Burke though finally looks up, eyeballing MVP, and asks if MVP knows who he is, with Montel laughing as he replies “some idiot that‘s about to lose out on a twenty dollar tip.” Pac then speaks up, but smiles as he tells MVP that Burke is actually a wrestler on Smackdown.

Porter laughs, realising his mistake, and puts his arm around Burke, apologising for the mix up, but then drops his smile … “now go get me my coffee , boy.” Burke then waits for a second, before he shoves the money into the cocky stars chest. MVP is irate, calling Burke an ungrateful punk, saying he ought to kick Eli’s ass, with Burke more than willing to get into a fight, saying they can do it in the ring. MVP agrees, telling Burke to sort it with Arn Anderson, and that he’ll see Burke out there … and as Burke walks off, MVP shouts “and get me my damn coffee on your way”. He turns to talk with X-Pac again, but after a few seconds, Burke returns, telling Montel he has his coffee - AND THROWS IT ON MVPS SUIT!!!!! Porter is furious, shouting about how expensive the suit is, as Burke tells him he’ll see him later, walking off, leaving MVP looking beyond angry.

Elsewhere, The Brian Kendrick arrives at Arn Andersons office, asking about when his celebration party is. Double A looks confused, telling TBK there will be no party - especially after Kendricks stunt last week with John Cena. Anderson then tells Kendrick he should be more focused on his title match this Sunday, when his title reign - quickly corrected by Kendrick as the longest cruiserweight title reign ever - could be coming to an end, telling TBK to watch, as his potential challengers go at it; next, in a gauntlet.

Back in the arena…

**TURN IT UP**

Surprisingly, the music of SCOTTY TOO HOTTY plays into the arena - as Joey Styles announces that Scotty has returned to Smackdown from Raw, becoming the third signing for Anderson, with possibly two more - including John Cena - to come before the end of Sunday night. Styles also announces that Scotty goes straight into the voting for this Sundays Cruiserweight title match, and competes in the gauntlet … next.

Commercial Break

Match 2 | CRUISERWEIGHT GAUNTLET:
Jamie Noble vs. Super Crazy vs. Chavo Guerrero vs. Evan Bourne vs. Kid Kash vs. Sonjay Dutt vs. Daivari vs. Elix Skipper vs. X-Pac vs. Scotty Too Hotty

2a | SCOTTY TOO HOTTY VS ELIX SKIPPER
Scotty and Elix have a quick paced match, with Skipper surviving an initial flurry from Scotty to take over. Just as the veteran looks to be wearing Scotty down, the lovable face mounts a comeback, and hit’s the bulldog, followed by the big set up … AND NAILS THE WORM!!! He covers, 1...2...3!!!
Winner: Scotty Too Hotty @ 03:23

2b | SCOTTY TOO HOTTY VS DAIVARI
Daivari controls the majority of the match, picking up where Skipper left off, getting plenty of heat from the fans, but Scotty is able to survive the Camel Clutch, and makes the ropes, much to the anger of Daivari. His anger gets the better of him though, and as he charges toward Scotty in the corner, S2H dives out of the way, with the Arab American hitting the buckles, allowing Scotty to roll him up … 1...2...3!!!
Winner: Scotty Too Hotty @ 02:30 {05:53}

2c | SCOTTY TOO HOTTY VS SONJAY DUTT
Daivari - in an act of frustration - attacks Scotty from behind after his loss, giving his own friend, Sonjay Dutt, the opportunity to make easy work of Scotty, hitting the Bombay Buster, and making the cover, 1...2...3!!!
Winner: Sonjay Dutt @ 00:27 {06:20}

2d | SONJAY DUTT VS CHAVO GUERRERO
Chavo and Dutt put on a good display, with Sonjay finally getting to show a Smackdown audience what he is capable of, after being kept solely on Superstars up until this point. After a fast paced, frenetic opening salvo, the action slows, just in time, as the show goes to another commercial…

Commercial Break

And, we return with Dutt in control, but unable to defeat Chavo. This leads to a fight back from the veteran Guerrero, including the three amigos - but that isn’t enough to finish off Sonjay!!! Chavo then climbs the buckles, possibly setting up for the Frog Splash … BUT DAIVARI RETURNS!!! Dutts friend saves him, distracting Chavo, which allows Dutt to recover and arm drag Chavo off the top!!! However, as the referee orders Daivari to leave, Super Crazy sneaks in through the back door … AND NAILS DUTT WITH A TORNADO DDT!!! Chavo then recovers, whilst Super Crazy is chased out through the crowd by Daivari, as Guerrero hit’s the Gory Bomb, and covers, 1...2...3!!!!!
Winner: Chavo Guerrero @ 05:39 {11:59}

2e | CHAVO GUERRERO VS X-PAC
X-Pac arrives on the scene, and takes the fight to an already tired Chavo, dominating the early going. He then looks for the Bronco Buster, but misses it, which provides Chavo with the chance to mount a comeback, leading to a series of near falls, before the two eventually find their way to the top rope, and after a back and forth battle, Chavo hit’s a superplex!!! Eventually, he makes a cover, but X-Pac is able to kick out at two. Chavo then climbs up top again, looking axe handle onto X-Pac … but Pac plays possum, and kicks Chavo on his way down … and hit’s the X-Factor!!!! He covers, 1...2...3!!!
Winner: X-Pac @ 04:44 {16:43}

2f | X-PAC VS SUPER CRAZY
As Super Crazy looks to make his entrance, he gets nailed from behind by Daivari, with Sonjay Dutt joining his partner, with the two slamming Crazy on the steel ramp … as Chavo rushes from the ring to come to the aide of his partner … but is still woozy after losing to X-Pac, and he is left laying by Daivari and Dutt too!!! In the ring, X-Pac demands Crazy be counted out … and the referee begins to do just that … with the insane Luchador unable to make it to the ring … and is counted out.
Winner: X-Pac @ 00:38 {17:21}

2g | X-PAC VS JAMIE NOBLE
Noble runs to the ring, getting right to it with X-Pac, with this match turning into more of a brawl, as the action spills to the outside. Both men trade blows, and are nearly counted out, but both make it back inside in time. Noble takes over, and climbs to the top … but X-Pac jumps to his feet, and shoves Noble to the floor with a sickening thud, as the show goes to another commercial, with Noble writhing on the floor outside…

Commercial Break

The show returns with X-Pac in control, applying a sleeper on Noble, but Noble doesn’t give, and soon fights back, giving X-Pac a scare, only for the veteran to survive. X-Pac, grabbing the referee hit’s a well disguised mule kick to Noble, and nearly wins it with a spinning heel kick. He then drags Noble up, looking to finish him with the X-Factor … BUT NOBLE SURPRISES HIM WITH THE DRAGON SLEEPER!!!!! X-Pac immediately taps, giving Noble the win!!!
Winner: Jamie Noble @ 05:14 {23:55}

2h | JAMIE NOBLE VS EVAN BOURNE
In the first face vs. face match of the night, Noble and Bourne exchange a handshake, before putting on a display of great action, with Bourne getting the most of the offence, playing on Noble already being tired. Bourne isn’t able to put Noble away though, with the pugnacious trailer park hero refusing to give in, mounting a comeback, looking for the Tiger Bomb … BUT BOURNE COUNTERS WITH A HURRICANRANA!!!!! Evan then climbs the ropes, looking to hit AIR BOURNE … BUT NOBLE GETS HIS KNEES UP!!!!!! Bourne writhes, as Noble gets to his feet … and DOES hit the TIGER BOMB!!!!! 1...2...3!!!!!
Winner: Jamie Noble @ 04:10 {28:05}

2i | JAMIE NOBLE VS KID KASH
Kash hit’s the ring straight away, attacking Noble from behind, putting the boots to the exhausted Noble, facing ANOTHER fresh competitor. Kash has near fall after near fall … but Noble refuses to stay down!!! Getting angry, Kash starts to slap Noble, sparking a fight back from Jamie, tenaciously hammering at Kash, but KK manages to roll Noble up, HOOKING THE TIGHTS … 1...2...NO!!! Noble kicks out, but is flattened with a clothesline from Kash, then a missile dropkick, with Kash covering, putting his feet on the ropes … 1...2...NO!!! Kash STILL cant beat Noble, and loses his temper, bringing a chair into the ring to hit him with - but is stopped by the referee, who takes the chair from him, throwing it down. Kash argues with the referee, then turns his attention back to Noble, dragging him up … BUT NOBLE SURPRISES HIM WITH AN INSIDE CRADLE … 1...2...3!!!!!!!
Winner: Jamie Noble @ 02:32 {30:37}

Noble has won the gauntlet … or so he thinks!!!

**MAN WITH A PLAN**

The Brian Kendrick now enters - with a mic in hand - and tells the fans that tonight he is celebrating his monumental achievement as the longest reigning Cruiserweight champion of all time … by entering this gauntlet!!! On his way to the ring, TBK talks down about the Cruiserweight contenders, stating he wasn’t impressed by anything he saw backstage.

2j | JAMIE NOBLE VS THE BRIAN KENDRICK
Kendrick continues to talk on the mic in the ring, trash talking the exhausted Noble while beating him up, dragging him to his feet, into position to hit the Sliced Bread - with the mic still in his other hand … AS NOBLE ROLLS HIM UP … 1...2...3!!!!!
Winner: Jamie Noble @ 00:25 {31:02}
Noble shocks the champion!!!!! Kendrick shoots up, telling the referee he wasn’t ready, then explodes due to the embarrassment, and clobbers Noble with a clothesline!!!!! He grabs the mic, and his title, trash talking Noble - and the Cruiserweight division - saying neither Noble, “or any of those other losers” have a chance of ending the reign of the greatest cruiserweight of all time…

As Evan Bourne, Scotty Too Hotty and even Kid Kash & Elix Skipper hit the ring, having heard enough of the champions trash talk!!! Kendrick high tails it before getting his comeuppance - having suffered enough embarrassment tonight - holding his title belt up, saying they’ll never dethrone him. In the ring, Noble slowly rises, having won the gruelling gauntlet, showing Kendrick - and the fans - exactly what he’s made of, as we fade out.

**METALINGUS**

{/SECOND HOUR}

Making his way to the ring, Edge looks as angry as ever, as we are reminded of his loss to RVD last week - due in part because of the parlour tricks of The Undertaker, and The Deadmans appearance after the match, where he choke slammed Edge, and Tombstoned him too.

In the ring, Edge goes right back to LAST April, when he won the Money in the Bank briefcase, saying his desire for a World Title shot forced him to do a dastardly thing - threaten the young son of Rey Mysterio in order for Rey to give up in their I Quit match and give him the briefcase. Edge uses that to explain to the fans that he is willing to go to any length in order to be World Champion. He then talks about his failures; messing up the chance to cash in last September at Cyber Sunday, then again at Armageddon.

Getting riled with himself, Edge then moves onto his ‘biggest mistake’ - cashing in at WrestleMania, telling RVD in advance of his plans. He makes fun of himself almost, saying he wasted his MITB opportunity, doing the exact opposite of what you SHOULD do with it … the exact thing that Orton successfully did, moments after he failed at WrestleMania 23. Momentarily, Edge goes on a rant, mentioning that he had to share his title shot with Chris Jericho, calling that ‘a joke’, but eventually blames himself for not cashing in sooner.

Moving on, Edge talks about his quest for a one on one title shot - getting it in Toronto in April … but Ortons ‘goons’ ruined that. The Canadian shakes his head, saying that anyone else would’ve been given a rematch for the way his shot ended … anyone but him. Edge begins to complain, talking about having to share another title shot with Lesnar & RVD at Judgment Day, and missing out on the Great American Bash altogether, saying how none of that was fair.

He then talks about getting fed up with being constantly passed over, overlooked and simply unappreciated … and that’s why he challenged The Undertaker to a match at Summerslam, saying how a win over The Phenom would ‘surely’ catapult him into a certain title shot … as it would for anyone … “and that‘s exactly what I expected to happen when I beat The Deadman 1,2,3 at Summerslam … but here we are, two days from Cyber Sunday … and Arn Anderson thinks there are five more deserving guys than me.”

Edge goes on to question when anyone has had to beat the same man TWICE in order to win a title shot, calling it a ‘crock of sh!t’. After a long pause, Edge says the WWE fans have the power to decide whether to reward the winner of his match with Taker this Sunday with a title shot, or punish the loser by preventing him from challenging for the title for 12 months … but he urges them to vote to give the winner a reward for two reasons; 1) They’ll never have to listen to him whine, bitch, complain or moan about his lack of title shots ever again, and 2) If he were to lose, and miss out on a title shot for 12 months … he’d tear Smackdown apart in an act of blind rage, “because another twelve months without a shot at the title would literally - no pun intended - send me over the edge.” Edge then sends a message to The Undertaker, saying he’ll see The Deadman on Sunday, telling Taker to prepare to be looking up at the lights once again, “because no man, dead or alive, is standing between me … and the WWE Title”.

Match 3:
M.V.P vs. Elijah Burke
Porter is given a real scare in the early going, completely underestimating Burke, and nearly pays with a series of pinning combinations, with MVP only just kicking out each time. Montel eventually rolls out of the ring, wanting time to think about it … but Eli isn’t interested in that, and slingshots himself over the top, onto Porter on the outside, with the fans getting behind the underdog. Back inside, Burke continues to scare MVP, but eventually, Montel takes control, catching Burke off the ropes with a throwaway Belly to Belly.

MVP wears Burke down, slowing the pace, and after getting the upper hand for a period, he starts to punish Eli for having the gall to put up a fight, roughing him up on the outside. Back inside though, MVP starts to take liberties, getting over confident, and it costs him, as Burke is able to get back into the match, sparking a fight back, nearly shocking MVP again, but Porter is able to kick out of a sunset power bomb, and a DDT. MVP stumbles to the corner with Burke setting himself - AND GOES FOR THE ELIJAH EXPRESS - AND HITS IT!!!!! He covers, 1...2...FOOT ON THE ROPE!!!!!

Burke thought he had it won, and has his head in his hands, but puts the near miss behind him, dragging MVP back to his feet, but Porter quickly rolls Eli up, grabbing the tights … 1...2...NO!!!!! Burke just survives and makes a rookie mistake, complaining to the referee, yanking at his tights … whilst MVP drills him with the Drive By kick!!! MVP doesn’t pin though, and instead drags Eli back up, into position … PLAY OF THE DAY!!! MVP covers, 1...2...3!!!
Winner: M.V.P @ 08:02

In a much tougher match than he expected to have to deal with, MVP sees off the spirited fight of Elijah Burke, but leaves the ring with a face like thunder, not happy, making a point to the camera, shouting “I shouldn’t be dealin with PUNKS like this. I should be in the Elimination Chamber.”

In the ring, Burke slowly recovers, and there is a smattering of applause for his effort tonight, coming up short against MVP, but winning a few more fans for nearly pulling off the upset. He still looks bitterly disappointed, and shakes his head as he sits on his knees, before we fade out…

And, backstage, AMERICAS MOST WANTED are joined by the mysterious blonde haired woman, with Styles and Heyman declaring that the tag team champions are on their way to the ring … NEXT.

Commercial Break

A video package airs, hyping the return of MNM; MERCURY, NITRO AND MELINA, off the back of being banished from Raw, they have been signed by Arn Anderson … COMING TO SMACKDOWN - SOON!!!

**THREE SUNS AND ONE STAR**

Looking delighted with themselves, the still out of shape tag team champions make their way to the ring with the blonde lady that they owe for helping them retain the titles, as we see clips of the ending of their match last week with Carlito and Kofi, where it looked like the titles would surely change hands, until the blonde helped AMW.

In the ring, AMW remind the fans that they are STILL the tag team champions, before declaring that none of it would’ve been possible without the help and guidance of their new ‘guru’, who helped get them ‘out of our funk’, introducing MICHELLE MCCOOL!!! The blonde steps forward, and in her broad southern accent, demands that the fans appreciate the tag team champions, stating that for ten months they’ve dominated the tag team scene - but now, with her by their side to keep them on their toes, they wont just dominate - they’ll be invincible.

She then scolds for Storm for bringing a beer bottle to the ring, telling him he cant drink that anymore - unless he wants to look like every other Texan. Getting cheap heat, McCool is backed up by the Texan Storm, saying he got the hell out of Texas so he wouldn’t become a pot bellied wannabe cowboy like the rest of them - insisting he’s a real cowboy … but he wont give up his beer, saying he drinks the stuff like water. McCool isn’t happy, and tells Storm ‘we’ll deal with that later’, before she then announces that she has arranged a ‘showcase’ for the champions tonight, arranging with Arn Anderson for them to have a match, and to show the fans how much better they will be now she has introduced their new fitness regime.

Harris gets on the mic now, saying Michelle has scoured Texas for the two fittest, most ‘in their prime’ wrestlers to test the champions, giving their opponents a big shill … And, out walks a pair of fat, bald, out of shape wrestlers, wearing cowboy uniforms, much to the annoyance of the fans. In the ring, AMW & McCool have a good laugh, as they get set for their ‘test’. As the opposition reach the ring, McCool introduces them as the ‘Bush Brothers; Buddy & Bo’

Match 4 | CHAMPIONS SHOWCASE; NON-TITLE MATCH:
Americas Most Wanted w/Michelle McCool vs. The Bush Brothers
AMW - despite not being in perfect shape themselves - make short work of the two fat, balding Texans, having some fun, with Storm putting his hat on, and jumping on the back of Buddy, pretending to ride him around the ring like a horse at one point, before they finally finish the job off, hitting Bo with the Death Sentence, and 1...2...3!!!
Winners: Americas Most Wanted @ 02:13

AMW with McCool have a celebratory hug in the ring after the match, with McCool getting on the mic, telling the fans in Texas to stand up and appreciate the tag team champions … AS CARLITO AND KOFI KINGSTON SUDDENLY STORM THE RING!!!

Harris and Storm try to fight off the duo, whilst McCool dives for cover, but the champions are simply too slow for Carlito and Kofi, and cant deal with the speed - and aggression - of the beaten challengers last week, with Harris going for a ride out of the ring courtesy of Carlito, before Kofi delivers Trouble in Paradise to Storm, right into the path of CCC and a Back Cracker!!!!!

Storm is pulled from the ring by McCool, as she tries to get the troops together, after an ambush from the fuming Caribbean Connection. In the ring, Carlito and Kofi hold the belts, leaning over the top to tell the champions that their luck wont last for much longer - but give AMW the titles back, advising them to enjoy the belts while they have them, as it wont be for much longer!!!

Kofi and Carlito stand tall in the ring, getting the fans pumped up, as AMW back up the ramp, looking amongst one another in fear - their smiles wiped from their faces - with the challenge of Carlito & Kofi simply not going away, as we fade out.

Facing FIVE former World Champions, Triple H is fortunate to enter LAST, avoiding The Big Show and Goldberg who had already been eliminated, and as Kurt Angle and Brock Lesnar fall by the wayside too, it comes down to The Game and The Rock - the first man to enter. In the end, the twenty minutes extra that The Rock had to deal with is what wins it for the fresher Triple H, and The Game leaves Survivor Series STILL champion.

Back at ringside, Styles and Heyman discuss how being the final entrant in 2004 enabled Triple H to win the Chamber - again putting over the importance of who the fans vote to be the final entrant on Sunday. They then go into shill mode for the PPV itself, hyping all six matches, and it’s choices for the fans.

Backstage now, we see a split screen of Batista and Garrison Cade, both getting themselves ready for the main event next, which will be a Lumberjack match…

Back in the arena, a number of minor superstars start to make their way to the ring, getting us ready for the main event, before heading to a commercial with Randy Orton getting an entrance…

Commercial Break

We return with the ringside area now filled up, with just about the entire roster around the ring, minus The Brian Kendrick, AMW & The Undertaker, whilst Orton takes a place on commentary. Just before the entrances of Batista and Cade though, Styles and Heyman throw to one final video package, highlighting the abilities of all six men in the Elimination Chamber this Sunday…

The package highlights each man individually, starting with Batista, as experts and fellow wrestlers commenting on his brute force, coupled with the tutelage of Ric Flair and Triple H over the years in Evolution, with the only thing missing from his career being the elusive WWE Championship.

Then, the portion on RVD shows off Van Dam at his very best in ECW as an innovator, risk taker and his unmatched confidence, with fellow pros talking about RVD maturing over the years, and showing the world last year that he did have what it took to be a WWE Champion, and his desire to do it again - especially with the champion being Randy Orton.

Brock Lesnar is featured next, with clips of his early days, winning the WWE Title in near record time, with commenter’s talking about his size matched with agility and power being the perfect storm of abilities, matched with his will to win and uncanny stamina - hence the name Iron Man - many call him the favourite win the Chamber.

Next, Garrison Cade is referred to as the wild card, with focus on previous wins over Shawn Michaels & The Rock - one of only a handful of people to hold that honour - but with very little sustained momentum over the years, with many wondering if this time he will make good on his potential, finally standing on his own, or if he will be found to be simply out of his depth.

The U.S Champion is focused on, with many people stating that he has always had the potential and heart to make it to the very top, but only over the past year has he shown that same belief that he belongs in the main event. They show his near misses against Orton in July, before questioning if it can be third time lucky on Sunday for Paul London.

Finally, it’s the turn of Randy Orton, with many believing the champion could pay the price for his actions over the last six months on Sunday, but just as many use his knack of winning as a reason as to why he’ll find a way to do it once again inside the Elimination Chamber…

Back in the ring, Batista and Cade make their entrances, with plenty of anticipation for this main event.

Main Event | LUMBERJACK MATCH:
Batista vs. Garrison Cade
The two huge men pick up where they left off last week, beating lumps out of one another, with nothing held back - but different from last week, as they tumble out of the ring, their brawl ends, with the lumberjacks throwing both men back in right away, forcing them to keep the brawl on the inside. It’s not a great match, with the two seemingly not pulling out anything special ahead of this Sunday, but it is an intense brawl, with plenty of stiff shots traded. Just as Batista appears to be getting the better of it, and putting Cade on the back foot - the Lone Star lures The Animal into the ropes, and grabs him by the trunks, pulling him out of the ring through the middle rope - and at the mercy of the heel lumberjacks. Batista takes a shoeing from The James Boys, Kid Kash, Chris Masters and X-Pac, before some faces try to restore order and help Big Dave back inside, with a stand off between the lumberjacks as we head into a commercial.

Commercial Break

And, the show returns with Cade in control, wearing Batista down with a rest hold - chin lock - but even as The Animal fights back, his momentum is derailed by Cade, knocking Batista back down with a big boot. Despite the pressure, Cade cant keep his opponent down, with The Animal showing plenty of fight and grit to keep going - and he does start to mount a proper fight back, meeting an incoming Cade at the corner with an elbow, then strikes Cade, forcing him backward, before running off the ropes, taking the big Texan off his feet!!!! On commentary, Orton critiques Cades gameplan, saying he would be advising him different - but Cade thinks he knows best. The Animal looks like he’s hitting a second wind now, and sends Cade into the corner, following in with a clothesline, crushing his enemy. Cade staggers out of the corner, right into the path of Big Dave, and a sidewalk slam, 1...2...KICK OUT!!!!!

Cade survives, but he now faces a true test of his abilities, with Batista pouring on the pressure, picking him up from the canvas, and looking for the running power slam … but as he charges across the ring - CADE SLIPS OFF THE BACK, AND CRACKS THE ANIMAL WITH A CLOTHESLINE TO THE BACK OF THE NECK!!! He sends Batista tumbling into the corner, and rushes in, driving his shoulder into the gut of his rival, then shoots him off the ropes, ducking down for the return … BUT BATISTA RETURNS … AND QUICKLY TRIES TO LOAD UP THE DUCKED DOWN CADE FOR A BATISTA BOMB … NO!!! Cade back body drops out of it, and rolls out of the ring, to count his blessings … but forgets about the lumberjacks - and finds himself attacked on the outside!!! Jeff Hardy, Evan Bourne, Hardcore Holly and Elijah Burke take a few shots at the big Texan, before London and RVD both grab the Lone Star - and throw him back into the ring!!!

Cade is back in, but gets to his feet and barks expletives at the lumberjacks before turning around - RIGHT INTO A SPINEBUSTER FROM BATISTA!!!!! Big Dave now shakes the ropes, signalling for the Batista Bomb!!! He pulls Cade up, getting him into position … BUT CADE RUSHES DAVE INTO THE CORNER TO PREVENT IT!!! Cade fights with all he has to avoid the Batista Bomb - hammering Batista in the corner, then walks away … BUT BATISTA CHARGES OUT AND TACKLES CADE DOWN WITH A SPEAR!!!!! He covers, 1...2...NO!!! He cant keep the Texan down!!! On commentary, Orton seems to be enjoying it, commenting that both men are wearing themselves out before Sunday. Meanwhile, Batista shakes his head, and follows a recovering Cade toward the corner, driving his shoulder into the gut, and shooting him off the ropes, ducking down for the return, but Cade comes back and kicks Batista away, before drilling the big man with a sit out spine buster!!! He covers, 1...2...KICK OUT!!!!!

Cade places his hands on his head, shaking his head profusely, but gets back on the opponent, hitting a side suplex, before climbing up top, and the fans rise, with Cade looking to emulate his former mentor - Shawn Michaels - GOING FOR THE FLYING ELBOW … BUT BATISTA ROLLS OUT OF THE WAY!!! The Animal now gets back up, and runs through Cade with a succession of clotheslines … but the last is right at the ropes … AND BOTH MEN GO OVER TO THE OUTSIDE!!! Both men crash onto the floor … WITH THE LUMBERJACKS CONVERGING … AND ALL HELL BREAKS LOOSE!!!!! The heels and faces begin to fight amongst each other, with Orton seemingly taking his headphones off by the sounds of things, whilst the carnage ensues around the ringside area … as we see ORTON STRIKE BROCK LESNAR WITH THE RKO!!!!! Orton has a sadistic smile on his face, getting one over on Lesnar after his loss last week!!!

Batista and Cade have to fight with lumberjacks themselves, as Batista delivers a SPINEBUSTER to Chris Masters, while Cade hits Shannon Moore with the dastardly HEART PUNCH!!! Batista rolls back into the ring, shouting to Cade to bring himself back in … but before Cade can, he is ambushed by RVD - taking exception to the Heart Punch to Moore. Batista is furious, and he looks to exit the ring, dropping out - NAILING VAN DAM WITH A CLOTHESLINE!!! Batista turns, looking for Cade, but is confronted by a shocked Paul London, asking The Animal what he’s doing, with a needless attack on RVD … BUT BATISTA SHOVES HIS FRIEND OVER!!! He has lost it!!! Consumed by his desire for a piece of Cade, Batista attacks his own friends, and knocks The James Boys over, as he goes in pursuit of Cade, following into the ring, but Cade exits, getting embroiled in a fight with Finlay … and as Batista looks to follow out again … he is swung around … RKO!!!!! Randy Orton drops ANOTHER contender … before slithering out of the ring, whilst Cade crawls back in … and covers … 1...2...3!!!!!
Winner: Garrison Cade @ 18:13

Cade steals it - thanks to Orton!!! Cade picks up the win … BUT PICKS UP AN RKO AS HE GETS BACK UP!!!!! Orton returns and drops ANOTHER challenger - remembering Cade nailing him with the title belt two weeks ago … but soon slides back out of the ring - as the lumberjacks brawl into the ring, with RVD and London both recovered and coming for Orton!!! Orton avoids the other two challengers for his title on Sunday, and backs up the ramp … as we see EDGE IN THE RING NOW … AND HE RUNS THROUGH RVD WITH A SPEAR!!!!!

Edge now looks to send a message to The Undertaker, and SPEARS LONDON TOO!!!!! The Rated ‘R’ Superstar looks like a man possessed, and SPEARS LESNAR OFF THE APRON!!!!! Edge has a wild look in his eyes, and focuses on Orton up the ramp, telling him after Sunday he’s coming for the belt … THEN SPEARS CARLITO … AND SPEARS KOFI KINGSTON AFTER THAT!!!! Edge is going crazy, with Fort Worth going bananas … but Edge isn’t finished!!! The Rated ‘R’ Superstar gets out of the ring, and grabs a chair, carrying it into the ring, looking to clobber the first man that moves…

AND THEN THE LIGHTS GO OUT!!!!!

And back on … WITH THE UNDERTAKER IN THE RING!!!!! Taker instantly boots Edge, who drops the chair, then The Deadman goozles Kid Kash coming off the top … AND CHOKESLAMS HIM!!!!! Kassidy James now runs at him … AND EATS A BIG BOOT!!!!! Kasey then tries … but he is caught - CHOKESLAM!!!!! The Deadman now turns, coming after Edge … BUT EDGE ESCAPES!!!!! The Rated ‘R’ Superstar hops the barrier, looking scared to death, with Taker eyeballing his opponent at Cyber Sunday, then turns around … SPINEBUSTER!!!!!!

BATISTA DRILLS THE DEADMAN!!!!!

The Animal, shaking the cobwebs loose after the RKO, stands over Taker, pointing his finger, talking trash, gaining revenge for the unprovoked Chokeslam three weeks ago … THEN CATCHES DAIVARI WITH THE SPINEBUSTER!!!!! The Animal throws Kassidy James out of the ring, then picks up the steel chair brought in by Edge, and NAILS CADE WITH IT!!! Big Dave starts to wail on The Lone Star with the steel chair, and as Finlay enters to try and stop him - he gets clobbered with it too … before Hardcore Holly takes a shot too!!!!! Sonjay Dutt, X-Pac and Jeff Hardy all get chair shots too, as Batista goes crazy!!!

On commentary, Heyman and Styles agree that The Animal has lost it tonight - saying he’s cracked … as Batista eyes up The Undertaker trying to get to his feet, and slams the chair down, grabbing The Phenom … getting him up … BATISTA BOMB TO THE DEADMAN!!!!! The fans boo, as Batista roars, with Styles and Heyman both wondering if THIS Batista can be stopped at Cyber Sunday. The Animal is the last man standing, as bodies lie all around him in the ring, whilst we see a stunned Randy Orton still on the ramp, with Batista spotting him, pointing at the champion, telling him he’s a dead man come Sunday … as we go off the air with Styles announcing; “RANDY ORTON HAS UNLEASHED THE ANIMAL TONIGHT - BUT WILL HE PAY THE ULTIMATE PRICE ON SUNDAY!!!!????”

END OF SHOW

Default Re: Being The Booker

Opening Segment: Solid way to open up the show, though I thought some of the faces reasons for wanting to be last were a bit strange, such as the fans voting for who they think is going to win instead of an underdog.

Where is TBK's party?

Nick Nemeth vs. Finlay: Boooo Nick Nemeth booooooo.

Elijah Burk/MVP Segment: Yay, MVP action tonight. Nice little segment, I wonder what you'll be doing with this.

Jamie Noble vs. Super Crazy vs. Chavo Guerrero vs. Evan Bourne vs. Kid Kash vs. Sonjay Dutt vs. Daivari vs. Elix Skipper vs. X-Pac vs. Scotty Too Hotty: Solid match up, I liked the ending with The Brian Kendrick coming out and losing due to his cockiness. Can't wait for the match at Cyber Sunday. SUPER CRAZY!

Edge Segment: Solid segment here, this should be a solid rematch. I really liked Edge in this promo. I didn't like the ending though just because Edge showed some belief that he could actually lose the match. Here's to hoping the loser can't get a title shot in 12 months.

M.V.P vs. Elijah Burke: Nice to have Elijah Burke actually act as a challenge for MVP here and MVP getting the win to put him over. Looking forward to your plans with him in the future.

Americas Most Wanted w/Michelle McCool vs. The Bush Brothers: I thought this was a good way to continue to give AMW momentum while still showing they are out of shape. Looking forward to what happens with AMW and the Caribbean Connection next.

Batista vs. Garrison Cade: That was crazy. xD. A bit much in my opinion, but I think it built up the Elimination Chamber pretty well. Batista though needs all the heel heat possible! How dare he even lay a finger on The Undertaker!

First, let me tell you I love the way you write your shows. Second, this is only my second review, so forgive me if I am not up to par.

The opening segment was okay, giving each participant in the Elimination Chamber match the opportunity to plead their case. I liked it.

Nemeth vs. Finlay
I liked that Nemeth used Finlay's weapon against him, other than that. Simple filler. Decent match overall.

The Cruiserweight Gauntlet was very nice overall, good to see Scotty 2 Hotty back, but also rolling, but it wasn't Scotty's night. Noble put up a noble fight and came out on top, which is always nice to see. I can't wait the see where Noble and Kendrick take this.

The Edge segment was kind of weird. I couldn't get a feel of whether he was a face or heel, laughing at his mistakes rather than taking advantage of them. If it weren't Edge, I'd think he was face haha.

MVP vs Elijah Burke
Solid Smackdown match, not surprised MVP won. I just like MVP's character overall.

AMW vs Bush Bros
Another solid filler, making quick work of the Bush bros while still building up America's Most Wanted. Very decent

Batista vs Garrison Cade Lumberjack match
To me, it's weird seeing Garrison Cade in the main event of anything, much less Smackdown haha. But a relatively good match, awesome seeing Undertaker come out only to see him get beat down. Batista > Undertaker. But very nice build up toward Cyber Sunday.

Overall good, typical Smackdown. I'd watch it, the main event was well written and I adore that. I can't wait to see what Cyber Sunday has in store!!

TantruM's SmackDown! Review

The opening segment looked very promising, all six competitors stating their case as to why they should be picked last or why they won't, etc. Very cool idea and it was a great way to stir up some action between the six of them. We're also set up for the main event with Garrison Cade vs. Batista, which should be a great match with some interference I would guess. I'd make a prediction right now for the chamber, but I'll wait until you give out the proper time. I thought it was pretty cool that RVD didn't really give a damn if he's going to enter last or first but he'll be the WWE Champion, and Lesnar basically the same way only less nonchalant about it. Pretty fun promo to start out the evening

Kendrick walking down the hallway seemed like a little bit of just a filler promo, but I guess it could lead to something later on. Longest reigning cruiserweight champion is a big honor - I guess - Pretty funny to see him expecting so much when he is literally the bottom of the ladder when it comes to champions.

The short little promo before the first match of the night featuring Finlay and Nemeth was pretty good, really establishing Nemeth as a heel. Finlay also being the good guy is usual too with him basically complimenting and challenging Nick. They wouldn't have the Belfast Brawl but hopefully we can see it in the future because that'd be a pretty fun match. Nemeth cheating for the victory once again to remain undefeated seems good, it can build their somewhat feud to new extremes as I sense that Finlay will not let this be forgotten. I'm guessing the "Ego Boost" is basically the "Zig Zag"? Not too sure, might have to read back a bit for the answer to that.

The Burke/MVP segment was quite awesome as well, I like the way this one went. Burke being relatively new and MVP not knowing he's even a superstar would definitely happen and is very believable, I could picture the whole thing. X-Pac being there also adds something to it as MVP acts like it's no big deal to ask for someone to go get coffee for him. It sets up a match for later or next week, and hopefully it'll be a good one, this feud could go on for a while and be something great. Two young and athletic superstars with promising careers - can't go wrong with that.

The Brian Kendrick returns for another appearance tonight, which flows well. Arn Anderson telling him he'll be defending soon is great and that the possible contenders will be going at it after this is also good. Kendrick correcting the GM also shows a level of somewhat disrespect which adds to his character - pretty good little segment.

Not much to say about the first few matches of the gauntlet, except that Scotty 2 Hotty has come to SmackDown. Jamie Noble wins the tournament, and then wins it again against the Cruiserweight Champion himself. The Brian Kendrick freaking out was quite comical, and him "not being ready" reminds me of Santino's one second elimination in the 2009 Royal Rumble - in real life WWE that is. Quite cool and establishes Noble as a good contender for the Cruiserweight title.

The Edge promo was good, really captures his thoughts and what he plans to do, also making him appear very selfish and like a very good heel - which we already know he is. I was expecting this to be interrupted by The Undertaker making an appearance with the lights going out, or with something of that sort happening, but who knows maybe that'll happen later. All I can say is I can't wait for Cyber Sunday!

Cyber Sunday promotion here, not really a big deal but I liked it. Good job with this and I also like the poster.

Burke / MVP happens tonight, and I honestly expected Burke to come out with this one, but MVP winning is great also. Burke seems to be building for something big, and I can't wait to see what it is. Eli seems to be learning from his mistakes quite possibly, so we may see him winning matches in the future, and possibly titles?

MNM coming to SmackDown could be interesting and bring a whole new dynamic to the tag division here on Friday Nights, can't wait to see them start!

The AMW getting a jobbing victory as it would seem was pretty good, and it basically was a set up for the Caribbean Connection to ambush them. Carlito and Kofi as a team could be very exciting and I'm really liking them as of now, I can see them being good champions. Not sure if I like Michelle McCool as a heel however, she seems more apt as a babyface. However she can have that sort of like "high school bitchy blonde" attitude which I kind of see as a good gimmick, so I can see it working.

Promo with the Elimination Chamber Rewind was a great rewind since it gives the commentators a chance to plug the coveted spot of being the last entrant into the match, with real life proof that it will actually help the superstars out. Cyber Sunday is plugged and so is the main event as we see Batista and Cade warming up as well as the lumberjacks!

Promo hyping all the competitors was good, showing off their abilities and want they want - the ultimate goal - The WWE championship.

The main event was needless to say exciting - which is an understatement. Orton's interference costing the match for Batista as Cade picks up the win with the brawling of the lumberjacks. Edge tries to send a message and it is pretty clear, which I like. I had a feeling he would return out tonight after that promo. Edge gets away from The Undertaker but The Phenom's message is the last one in that rivalry before the pay per view which is great to see. Batista coming out on top and getting involved in another rivalry to prove his point to Orton and all the competitors was great, and went off without a hitch. I liked the fact that he was the one to come out on top because I feel Batista is uprising in your thread and is slowly and steadily becoming a force to be reckoned with. Could we see a Batista / Orton title feud coming up? God I hope so.

Overall this was a great way to end out the weekly shows before Cyber Sunday. Rivalries were extended, revenge was extracted, heels were devilish, babyfaces were ecstatic. All in all a great show, and I look forward to reading more and more of your shows, especially Cyber Sunday. I can't wait to make predictions on it as soon as you are accepting them. Can't wait to weigh in my thoughts on what will occur this Sunday at Cyber Sunday.

I thank you again for letting me tryout your show layouts as we PM'd about earlier. I just had to hit you up with a review for being so gracious. Hope this review/feedback can somewhat help out what you're trying to accomplish or what you should focus on or whatever. Pleasure to read Wolfy.

This is gonna be predictions with a fair amount of feedback thrown in. You've been going at a mega pace lately, and I'm delighted we've got a PPV so soon after your return. Anyway, onto the picks...

WWE Championship;
!!ELIMINATION CHAMBER MATCH!!
Randy Orton vs. Brock Lesnar vs. Batista vs. Garrison Cade vs. Rob Van Dam vs. Paul London
6.~ Choose the sixth and final entrant ~

The build for this one has really been top notch, and in a stark contrast to SummerSlam, SmackDown has really outshone Raw lately. The dynamic of the characters involved have lent themselves so well, with the rise of London, the dominance of Lesnar, the expansion of Batista's role and his little side feud with The Undertaker, Cade emerging from being Orton's lackey for much of the year, so much going on, and it's been so entertaining to read. Add into it the Elimination Chamber stipulation, it's all been great stuff in the main event scene on the blue brand. Perhaps Orton, as champion, has almost taken a back seat to it all as the focus has been more on his challengers, but for me, that makes him even more dangerous to hang onto his title. I'm ruling out London, I doubt you'd go for a double champion, and I just don't see Cade or Van Dam as champion, although if you don't go back to London/MVP, I'd love to see a program between London and Cade. Batista... I think he has 'The Deadman' in his sights... and maybe even a heel turn? Either way, his future seems brighter, but again, away from the title. So that leaves Orton and Lesnar. And I'm torn. I still get a feeling you'll return to Orton and a feud with Ric Flair, especially given your recent news posting about 'Naitch', but would that involve the title or not? I'm gonna say not... but I feel you'll save that for a few more months. And that's why I'm going for a Randy Orton win here. I think he'll somehow hang on, by hook or by crook, it'll come down to Orton and Lesnar and somehow, someway, Orton will retain. I do however think that eventually, it'll be Orton and Lesnar one on one and Lesnar will finally grab the gold... but not tonight. I do however think Brock Lesnar will be the sixth entrant, but tonight's won't be his night.

5.World Heavyweight Championship Match;
~ CHOOSE THE SPECIAL GUEST REFEREE ~
Christian vs. Kurt Angle
~ Mr. Kennedy OR Rey Mysterio OR Eric Bischoff ~

While the build for the Raw main event hasn't quite been on the level of SmackDown, there is definitely a bigger sense of intrigue on the red brand given the referee stipulation. Angle is a pretty natural choice for challenger, given his wins over Cena and Mysterio, he certainly deserves his shot. However, given that it's the 'fans' that are making the choice, I doubt we'll be seeing Kennedy or Bischoff getting the nod. Therefore, I'm going for Rey Mysterio as referee. As for the winner, I just can't see past Christian retaining the title. I just think he's been booked as the poster boy of Raw, and rightly so. My only concern would be that after beating Umaga, just who on earth could he ever drop the gold to? But yeah, for Cyber Sunday, Christian retains.

2.WWE Cruiserweight Championship Match:
The Brian Kendrick vs. Jamie Noble OR Super Crazy OR Chavo Guerrero OR Evan Bourne OR Kid Kash OR Sonjay Dutt OR Daivari OR Elix Skipper OR X-Pac OR Scotty Too Hotty

Your approach to this one has been pretty interesting, especially with the various promos and the way you've given everybody a chance to state their case over the last few weeks. The arrival of X-Pac onto the scene was rather strange though, as have most of Arn Anderson's signings. I'm not sure exactly where you're going with this all, and I certainly don't think Anderson has taken full advantage of this signing period available to him, but I'll hang fire to hear what Jesse Ventura has to say about it all soon. Anyway, back to the match. I think that given his performance in the gauntlet match last Friday, Jamie Noble will be the fans choice to take on Kendrick, but Kendrick has been such an awesome character in this thread. His build and progression over the summer has been superb, so many subtle touches that have saw his character develop, it's been a real lesson in the slow burn turn. And that's why I'm going for The Brian Kendrick to win. Just too good, and he deserves much longer with the gold.

1.Intercontinental Championship Match:
William Regal vs. Ken Doane OR CM Punk OR Greg Helms OR Paul Burchill OR Christopher Daniels OR Doug Williams OR The Miz OR Cody Rhodes OR Charlie Haas OR The 2007 King of the Ring; Brent Albright

I'll be honest, I look at that SmackDown chamber and I think, that spot Cade has... wouldn't that have been perfect for Brent Albright? I mean, he's won the King of the Ring, what better way to progress his career by involving him in a title match? Granted, I'm sure he and Haas are needed in the tag division on Raw, but at times I feel like Albright has taken a backwards step. But then again, you look at that list of competitors, and it should really be Albright who is Regal's next challenger, and he should be the one to take the title off Regal and have another solid midcard title reign. But, tonight, I think it'll CM Punk the fans choose for a real stiff face v face match. I think William Regal will retain, but if you're not gonna give the belt back to Shelton Benjamin anytime soon, then it's gotta be Albright who emerges as Regal's next challenger.

4.All … or Nothing??
Edge vs. The Undertaker
~ Winner faces WWE Champion @ Smackdown Season Premiere OR Loser is forbidden a title shot for 12 months ~

I honestly haven't a clue who's gonna win this one. Really. I mean, Edge, he's been so unlucky both in thread and in your booking not to become champion so far. And then throw in this stipulation choice. I really don't know which way the fans/you would go. Surely Edge won't beat 'Taker on two straight PPVs. But then again surely you wouldn't ban Edge from title shots for a year. And then there's The Undertaker and Batista situation that's simmering. Was what you said, too many variables? I'm really struggling with this, a credit to the way you've booked it, it could go either way. I think though that ultimately you'll go for Loser is forbidden from a title match for 12 months, and... The Undertaker will win. And Edge will ever so slowly go insane. But I could easily be 100% wrong here.

3.Grudge Match
Shawn Michaels vs. Umaga
~ Samoan Strap Match OR Ambulance Match OR Stretcher Match ~

Given that Umaga has finally suffered that first defeat, the intrigue and mystique around him has naturally taken a dip. Granted, the way you've used him on Raw and loooked to rebuild it has been impressive, but Michaels is back, and he has all the momentum. I think given the way Michaels was removed from action all those months ago that we'll have a Stretcher Match, and somehow, Shawn Michaels wins. I don't know how, it could be some kind of fluke, but I dunno if you'd bring Michaels back and have him lose again. So yeah, Michaels wins, and maybe Umaga takes some time away to recharge his character.

~ AND, WILL JOHN CENA SIGN FOR SMACKDOWN?? ~

I thought for sure he would indeed sign with SmackDown, until I read that promo from Bischoff on Raw where he called out Cena for running from problems. For me, that turned back in Raw's favour. Cena's one of those guys who's never backed away from a fight, and that's why I think he's staying put. I do wonder where he'll go character wise, and that's what makes me think he could well jump to SmackDown... but that promo, it's stuck in my mind ever since I read it. From a storyline point of view, it makes all the sense in the world for Cena to go to SmackDown and pursue pastures new... but I just think he'll hang around. And maybe even rue that decision in the future... leading to a heel turn? Please?

WWE Championship;
6: !!ELIMINATION CHAMBER MATCH!!
Randy Orton vs. Brock Lesnar vs. Batista vs. Garrison Cade vs. Rob Van Dam vs. Paul London
~ Choose the sixth and final entrant ~

Gotta agree with imac here, build for this match has been topnotch with all participants looking strong. My gut feeling is that Orton isnt losing the title here and when Lesnar does get his next one on one shot he WILL take the gold and end Orton's reign of terror. Am going with the grain here and saying Brock Lesnar to be the 6th man to enter the chamber but Orton to somehow retain.

Fans pick: Brock Lesnar

Order of Elimination: 1: London 2: Cade 3: Batista 4: RVD 5: Lesnar

Winner: Randy Orton

4: World Heavyweight Championship Match;
~ CHOOSE THE SPECIAL GUEST REFEREE ~
Christian vs. Kurt Angle
~ Mr. Kennedy OR Rey Mysterio OR Eric Bischoff ~

Am glad to see Angle back in the title hunt as he seems wasted on filler stuff with Mysterio although that feud has been topnotch stuff and I think when Rey Mysterio gets picked as the special ref, he somehow distracts Angle after Angle pushes him too far and Christian retains. I am however going with my gut that Angle DESTROYS Rey after the match leading to one final match between the two.

Fans Pick: Rey Mysterio

Winner: Christian

3: WWE Cruiserweight Championship Match:
The Brian Kendrick vs. Jamie Noble OR Super Crazy OR Chavo Guerrero OR Evan Bourne OR Kid Kash OR Sonjay Dutt OR Daivari OR Elix Skipper OR X-Pac OR Scotty Too Hotty

TBK has been a delight, a slow burn turn that the real WWE writers need to sit and take notice from. In real life I think the character had loads more to give but am glad to see you create your version and run with it. Don't see anyone but Noble being picked and although he will come close, TBK ain't dropping it on a "B" PPV.

Fans Pick: Jamie Noble

Winner: The Brian Kendrick

1: Intercontinental Championship Match:
William Regal vs. Ken Doane OR CM Punk OR Greg Helms OR Paul Burchill OR Christopher Daniels OR Doug Williams OR The Miz OR Cody Rhodes OR Charlie Haas OR The 2007 King of the Ring; Brent Albright

Well.....After reading your earlier backstage news, I think Regal is dropping the belt. You said he was never even pencilled in to win until the last minute and now although Regal is a great wrestler, I think he is better as someone to elevater new stars not sit on top of the pile. I think the fans will pick Brent Albright, don't ask why but I have a gut feeling and think Albright will pull it off in a classic.

Fans Pick: Brent Albright

Winner and NEW Intercontinental champion: Brent Albright.

2:All … or Nothing??
Edge vs. The Undertaker
~ Winner faces WWE Champion @ Smackdown Season Premiere OR Loser is forbidden a title shot for 12 months ~

This one is annoying the hell out of me and is one reason why I cant wait to read the PPV. I cant figure out which one the fans pick or who will win. Edge surely wont beat Taker twice in a row but surely the fans know this and will want him away from the title picture for a WHOLE YEAR. Hmmm... Sod it, gut feeling again.

Fans Pick: Loser is forbidden a title shot for a year

Winner: The Undertaker

5: Grudge Match
Shawn Michaels vs. Umaga
~ Samoan Strap Match OR Ambulance Match OR Stretcher Match ~

Great to see HBK back in the mix but I just see fodder for Umaga to get some of his aura back. HBK will look strong but Umaga will win once again.

Fans Pick: Ambulance Match

Winner: Umaga

~ AND, WILL JOHN CENA SIGN FOR SMACKDOWN?? ~

Hmmm I think after what Bischoff said he will stay and try to gain his momentum back.

Cena picks: RAW

!!ELIMINATION CHAMBER MATCH!!
Randy Orton vs. Brock Lesnar vs. Batista vs. Garrison Cade vs. Rob Van Dam vs. Paul London
~ Choose the sixth and final entrant ~

I wasn’t keen when the match was made as I felt that nobody had really earned their shot, Orton having overcome them all at one stage or another but the build has been decent with the outside bets in London, Cade and Batista perhaps having the strongest build. I think Orton will take it, by hook or by crook but I don’t think now’s the time to end his reign. As for the sixth entrant, I’m gonna go for Lesnar.

5. World Heavyweight Championship Match;
~ CHOOSE THE SPECIAL GUEST REFEREE ~
Christian vs. Kurt Angle
~ Mr. Kennedy OR Rey Mysterio OR Eric Bischoff ~

Christian all the way here. In my eyes we’ll see more from the Angle/Mysterio feud following on from this which is why I’m gonna go for Rey as Special Referee. I think that Christian losing the title needs to be a big deal and the build to this hasn’t been all that major. Sure to be a hell of a match but Christian to take it.

1. WWE Cruiserweight Championship Match:
The Brian Kendrick vs. Jamie Noble OR Super Crazy OR Chavo Guerrero OR Evan Bourne OR Kid Kash OR Sonjay Dutt OR Daivari OR Elix Skipper OR X-Pac OR Scotty Too Hotty

Tough one to call in my opinion. I think Kendrick’s probably the best character you have going right now and his promo a couple of weeks back on Smackdown was just immense. On the one hand I’d like him to retain but at the same time I can possibly see you having him lose it and move up the card to take the U.S gold off of London. I’m gonna say Noble gets the pick AND the title.

2. Intercontinental Championship Match:
William Regal vs. Ken Doane OR CM Punk OR Greg Helms OR Paul Burchill OR Christopher Daniels OR Doug Williams OR The Miz OR Cody Rhodes OR Charlie Haas OR The 2007 King of the Ring; Brent Albright

Another one that’s very tough to call here. Doane’s been on a roll of late whilst Punk and Helms are most definitely in the running. I think I’d rather see one of the heels get the shot BUT with it being a fan vote I suspect that won’t happen. Gonna go for Punk to win the vote and Regal to retain in a potential show stealer.

4. All … or Nothing??
Edge vs. The Undertaker
~ Winner faces WWE Champion @ Smackdown Season Premiere OR Loser is forbidden a title shot for 12 months ~

Really, really sticky situation here. I’ve been a huge fan of Edge in this thread and I’ve mentioned before that I can’t believe he’s never been champion but it must be going somewhere surely. I don’t wanna believe you’ll have Edge forbidden a title shot but I think it would continue his storyline of being robbed of that shot and it’d have a much bigger impact on the whole which is why sadly I’m gonna go for Loser is forbidden a title shot for 12 months and Taker to win it. Hope I’m wrong!

3. Grudge Match
Shawn Michaels vs. Umaga

~ Samoan Strap Match OR Ambulance Match OR Stretcher Match ~

Damn, only just realised how hard this card has been to call and this is another one. Mags can’t really suffer a second defeat in a row but Michaels is fresh off an injury and you’d imagine this one’s all set for Michaels to come out victorious. I’m gonna go for a Stretcher match and Michaels to somehow pull it off, just hope that it doesn’t damage the Samoan Bulldozer.

~ AND, WILL JOHN CENA SIGN FOR SMACKDOWN?? ~
Cena to stay on Raw and confront his issues. I’d love him to jump ship but I firmly believe he’ll stay put and as WWE should have done in real life, he’ll have his nightmare year end in glory come Mania time.
