Official Preview for WWE SummerSlam:

Date:
19th August 2007
Location: Wembley Stadium, London, England
Event Music: Kings of Leon, Fans & The Clash, London Calling

WWE Championship Match:
Randy Orton vs. Rob Van Dam
At WrestleMania, Randy Orton shocked the world by cashing in the Money in the Bank briefcase he had won earlier in the evening. His unfortunate victim was WWE Champion Rob Van Dam … moments AFTER Van Dam had successfully retained the title in a gruelling triple threat match. An RKO didn’t keep RVD down … but a sick, chilling PUNT KICK did. For two months, it was thought that Van Dam would never recover from his head injuries suffered at WrestleMania. But, by Judgment Day in May, RVD was back and back for revenge on Orton. However, something wasn’t quite right. Van Dam simply returned too soon, and was quickly dispatched by Orton, and RVD was back on the sidelines.

This time, it did seem like Van Dam was finished. The further head injury suffered at Judgment Day looked to end the glorious career of the Whole Damn Show … until the kick off of the World Tour in Mexico, when Van Dam stunned the world - especially Randy Orton - by returning once again, and this time, he WAS back to his former self, fully recovered and revitalised. And now at Summerslam, RVD is presented with the opportunity to reclaim the title that was cruelly snatched from him in New Orleans back in March. One year on from when he first won the richest prize in the game, Van Dam could end a nightmare period in his career with the ultimate revenge on Randy Orton. But will it be a happy end for the universally loved superstar, or will the Career Killer strike once again, and leave Wembley Stadium STILL champion.

WWE Tag Team Championships Match:
Americas Most Wanted vs. The Caribbean Connection
The tag team division on Smackdown has been dominated by one team for the last two and a half years; Americas Most Wanted. Other teams have come and gone during that time, but ultimately, Harris and Storm have consistently risen above every and all challenges. Now, during their longest title reign to date - eight months - and off the back of retiring Booker T, AMW appeared to be out of challenges. Given six weeks off due to a lack of competition, AMW have allowed their success to go to their heads. Whilst gorging on fast food, guzzling beer and spirits all over the world on their holiday, eight teams came together for a single elimination tournament for the right to challenge the champions at Summerslam. After beating The Master Craftsmen to win the tournament, The Caribbean Connection of Carlito and Kofi Kingston find themselves as AMW’s newest challenge. With Harris and Storm out of shape and out of focus, will Carlito and Kingston bring the big headed champions crashing back down to earth at Summerslam by taking the WWE Tag Team Titles from the complacent champions??

WWE United States Championship Match:
Paul London vs. M.V.P
Paul London has had an incredible 2007. He reached the final four in the 30 Man Royal Rumble, came within seconds of winning the Money in the Bank ladder match at WrestleMania, reached the semi finals of the King of the Ring tournament, and finally removed the tag of ‘nearly man’ by ending Brent Albrights seven month reign as United States Champion at Judgment Day. To say ‘The Golden Boy’ has been busy would be an understatement. Just last month, he narrowly missed out on winning the WWE Championship too … but since then, London has begun to look fragile. Tired, lethargic, questions are being raised over whether London has took too much out of himself this year, with a schedule busier than any other superstar, London may finally be running out of steam. With an opportunist #1 Contender in the shape of MVP waiting in the wings to strike, could London pay the ultimate price for his busy 2007??

!!THE WRESTLEMANIA REMATCH!!
~ STREETFIGHT ~
Triple H vs. Brock Lesnar
Back in March, it was five years in the making. The battle between Triple H and Brock Lesnar dominated WrestleMania, and in the end, despite the McMahons, Mike Tyson, Eric Bischoff, Paul Heyman and even Stone Cold Steve Austin involving themselves in the chaos, Brock Lesnar was victorious. But for Triple H, it wasn’t over - The Game had a point to prove. After announcing a self imposed sabbatical, HHH disappeared for months … yet his presence was still felt on Smackdown, as the Cerebral Assassin plotted to play with the mind of Brock Lesnar. First, a strategically placed sledgehammer cost The Iron Man the WWE Championship at Judgment Day. Without even stepping foot in the arena, Triple H had managed to screw over Lesnar. Then, two months later at Judgment Day, Lesnar had the title in his sights again … but again, Triple H screwed his rival over. This time however, The Game showed up himself to do the deed.

And so, Triple H was back - and back for one man. Claiming to be ‘off his game’ at WrestleMania, The King of Kings was now refreshed and chomping at the bit for THE WrestleMania rematch … and Lesnar was more than willing to agree. The match is on, and the stakes have been raised - it’ll be a Streetfight. But for Triple H, he wasn’t done. The Game had one more trick up his sleeve. Using his contacts at WWE HQ, The Cerebral Assassin forged a plot to set up a fake fax from Commissioner Ventura that decreed a ‘NO touching’ policy between both men before Summerslam. With Lesnar’s guard lowered … he was perfect prey. The Game destroyed Lesnar, bloodying The Iron Man, nailing him with the sledgehammer, and putting Brocks participation at Summerslam in doubt. Of course, regardless of his condition, Lesnar refused to back out of Summer slam … and shocked Triple H on the final Smackdown before the showdown at Wembley … by turning up in Cardiff on the warpath. Whilst Triple H escaped the wrath of Lesnar, Andrew ‘Test’ Martin did not. Lesnar used Test as an example, annihilating him with chair shots, F5’s against a ring post, and through the announce table … before promising to END Triple H’s career at Summerslam. Indeed, both men have promised to bring an end to the other mans livelihood in the Streetfight … but which will it be … if not … both???

~ FIRST TIME EVER ~
John Cena vs. Mr. Kennedy w/The Miz
Ever since losing the World Heavyweight Championship to Christian at WrestleMania, John Cena has been on a downward spiral. Unable to secure a rematch, Cena has fallen further from a title shot than he could have possible imagined. Shockingly, Cena even tapped out to Kurt Angle at Vengeance, and found himself now being mated up against debuting wrestlers and ‘jobbers’. Cena reached breaking point. He put The Miz and Santino Marella on the shelf, as his fury boiled over, and his frustration was clear to see.

Mister Kennedy however has found his career take an amazing upswing since a disappointing night at WrestleMania. Coming within a hairs breadth of winning the World Championship, Kennedy now finds himself rubbing shoulders with the main event talent - where he believes he should be. However, questions are still being asked about whether the 2006 King of the Ring can compete at the top level, or, if he’s a big match choke artist. At Summerslam, he has the chance to silence the critics once and for all with victory over Cena. Victory is imperative for both men, defeat is unthinkable. A loss at the biggest Summerslam for Cena will almost certainly bring the curtain down on his days as a leading star in the WWE, whilst for Kennedy it would all but guarantee that the critics were correct, and he isn’t as good as he claims to be. But for both men, victory could lead them to where they WANT to be … champion.

Womens Championship Match:
Mickie James vs. Beth Phoenix
Mickie James life has been a living hell. Despite winning the Womens Championship at WrestleMania, facts from her personal life were brought to light, and they were not pretty. Beth Phoenix revealed that five years ago, a crazed Mickie James severely injured Beths mother - a carer, who had been looking after Mickie - and caused Beth to put her dreams of becoming a wrestler on hold. Ever since arriving on Raw, Phoenix has been desperate for a shot at Mickie, and finally at Summerslam, she has the opportunity to face her … or will she?? On Raw this past Monday, Mickie was found unconscious, bloodied and injured at the hands of an unknown assailant. With no witnesses, no one has been brought to justice for the gruesome attack, but plenty of fingers are pointing at Beth Phoenix. Should the champion been unable to compete at Summerslam, Phoenix will be declared the new champion. Will Mickies horrible run of luck continue by being forced to hand her title over to her biggest rival at Wembley Stadium??

One on One:
Edge vs. The Undertaker
Despite nearly a decade as a fully fledged member of the WWE, Edge still finds himself searching for that first, elusive WWE Championship. Embarrassingly, Edge was unable to successfully cash in the Money in the Bank contract throughout 2006, finally losing his title shot at WrestleMania, when RVD retained the title in a triple threat match. Since then, Edge has been hell bent on gaining a one on one WWE title shot - something he has NEVER had a proper opportunity to have. But, each time Edge finds himself on the verge, the opportunity is snatched away. Out of the running for a title shot at Summerslam, Edge decided to take matters into his own hands to earn his shot at the title … challenging THE UNDERTAKER to a match at Summerslam.

Never one to back down from a challenge, The Phenom accepted … but promptly disappeared into the shadows for the weeks after it. Was he playing reverse mind games with Edge?? Or did he simply not believe the Rated ‘R’ Superstar was worthy of his attention?? Edge decided the lack of presence of The Undertaker was a snub - a sign of disrespect, and Edge decided to send The Deadman a reminder of who he was dealing with - costing The Undertaker a match with Randy Orton on Raw this past Monday, and smashing The Phenom with the Con-Chair-To. But, will Edge live to regret his actions?? On Friday, The Deadman looked to have a light lit under him, and looked to exact revenge on his Summerslam opponent, only for Edge to escape his wrath. Will Edge be as fortunate at Summerslam??

Grudge Match:
Rey Mysterio vs. Kurt Angle
To kick off the world tour in Mexico City, Rey Mysterio was presented with the opportunity to become World Champion. Having won a twenty man battle royal the week before in Pittsburgh, the stage was set for Mysterio to win his first World title where it all began. Until a vengeful Kurt Angle made his present felt. On that night, Angle humiliated Mysterio, mocking his heritage, his family, the legacy of his mask, and attacking Rey before his big moment could even begin. To cap it all off, Angle draped the Mexican icon in an American flag. Since then, Angle has continued to mock Mysterio for his history, his faith to the luchadors that he follows in the footsteps in, and has accused Rey of being a phoney, whilst disrespecting the entire planet by showing his disdain for the world tour.

Mysterio though has refused to take it lying down. Never before has Mysterio been as emotionally involved as he is with Angle. At Summer slam , it’s about more than simply competition for Rey and Angle. It’s about standing for what they believe in; it’s personal. Kurt Angle has even tried to remove Mysterios mask as he looks to expose Rey, and disrespect his identity, whilst Mysterio has refused to give in, refused to let Angle get away with his disgusting actions. At Summerslam between Mysterio and Angle, it’s personal.

World Tag Team Championships | Tables Ladders and Chairs Match:
!!THE FINAL CHAPTER - LOSERS LEAVE RAW!!
MNM vs. Straight Edge
For eight months, MNM and Straight Edge have dominated the tag team division on Raw. For the last six months of 2006, MNM were peerless on Raw as the tag team champions, but at the turn of the year Nitro and Mercury found a new challenge in the form of CM Punk and Greg Helms. At WrestleMania, Straight Edge brought an end to MNM’s reign as champions, seeing off the A-Listers in a rematch one month later at Backlash. For MNM, it looked to be the end of their run at the top of the division, unable to overcome the new champions.

But MNM refused to give in. A dastardly plot emerged, where MNM - in thanks to their Entourage - took the place of the British Lions for a World Tag Team title shot on Raw in June, and through any means necessary, they upset the champions to win the titles for the second time. After watching the two teams going back and forth all year long, Eric Bischoff finally decided enough was enough, calling an end to the rivalry at Summerslam. The losing team will be banished from Raw. But that wasn’t all. Straight Edge and MNM would also learn that at Summerslam they would follow in the footsteps of Edge & Christian, the Hardy Boys and the Dudley Boys, ending their storied rivalry in a TABLES … LADDERS … AND CHAIRS MATCH!!! Four bodies will be put on the line, two will be forced to leave Raw, and one team will be the undisputed BEST tag team in the world.

WWE Intercontinental Championship | Triple Threat Match:
Shelton Benjamin vs. Matt Hardy vs. William Regal
Fifteen years ago at Summerslam, The British Bulldog sent the fans inside the old Wembley Stadium wild by winning the Intercontinental Championship from Bret Hart to cap an incredible night. Now, in 2007 at the Twentieth Summerslam at the NEW Wembley, William Regal has the opportunity to do the same. In his way though are the warring pair of Matt Hardy and the champion, Shelton Benjamin. Throughout the summer, Hardy and Benjamin have tussled over the prestigious title, with Hardy unable to take the belt from the Black Diamond. At Summerslam, that task is made even harder with the addition of the veteran Blackpool native. Will it be history repeated with an Englishman walking out of Wembley with the gold?? Will it be a happy ending for Matt Hardy in his quest to win the title?? Or will Shelton Benjamin make it an unhappy night for both men and retain the title he has held since April??

World Heavyweight Championship Match:
World Heavyweight Champion Christian w/ Ricky ‘Hitman’ Hatton
VS.
Mr. Money in the Bank; Unbeaten & Undefeated Umaga w/ Armando Estrada
Without a doubt; THE main event. Christian has risen over the last two years and transformed into THE MAN in the WWE, becoming a two time World Heavyweight Champion, and headlining WrestleMania. Since winning the title in New Orleans, he has come through Hell in a Cell and a Ladder match with the title still in tact, whilst also holding off hungry challenges from Mister Kennedy and even a triple threat match. At Summerslam though, it’s a challenge like no other for Captain Charisma in the form of the 350 pound, undefeated Mister Money in the Bank, Umaga.

With Armando Alejandro Estrada by his side, Umaga has been guided to the top of the food chain in little over twelve months on Raw. Having recently put Shawn Michaels on the shelf, The Samoan Bulldozer has now finally set his sights on the biggest prize. For weeks, Umaga physically dominated the champion, with AAE also proving to be a difference maker any time that Christian had looked like getting the better of the beastly Samoan. However, Christian produced his own smoking gun in the form of Ricky Hatton; Britain’s most famous pugilist, enlisting ‘The Hitman’ as his corner man, negating Estrada. But that’s only one problem dealt with. Christian still has to find a way to something NO ONE has ever done - defeat the undefeated Samoan Bulldozer. To keep his title, and join the ranks of legends and icons in WWE lore, Christian MUST overcome the incredible Umaga, and inflict a first ever loss on the 350 pound wrecking machine. Is it a task simply too big for the current - soon to be ex? - world champion??

Default Re: Being The Booker

Sorry for the long wait Wolfy, haha, had a very busy week filled with exams, philosophizing, and keeping myself above depression! Time to review.

Edge/Undertaker Segment: A nice little segment to kick off the show, haha, felt like watching old NWA episodes to me for some reason.

‘Intercontinental Champion’ Shelton Benjamin w/Theodore Long vs. ‘United States Champion’ Paul London: Looks like we'll have some good heat going into SummerSlam for MVP vs. Paul London. Pretty much everything paid off here. I'm just hoping London and MVP get a good length to show their craft.

Deuce and Domino vs. The Caribbean Connection: Haha, Deuce and Domino jobbing on Smackdown! some more. Nothing much more to say besides it keeps CC looking good going into SummerSlam.

Triple H Promo: Looks like Triple H is taking all measures to not confront Brock Lesnar tonight. Looking forward to seeing whether or not Lesnar is actually going to make it and if anything will happen here.

Garrison Cade vs. Hardcore Holly: Fillertastic! Nice way to get the battle royal over though.

The Master Craftsmen: Hmm...Wonder what these two were plotting with Bischoff.

RVD/Randy Orton Segment: So...much..."dude"...*head explodes*. Entertaining segment here, I really liked the antisocial personality Randy Orton had here, thought it was quite fitting.

Nick Nemeth vs. Scotty Too Hotty: Another squash/filler for tonight with Nick Nemeth getting the win. I'm going to bet on him to win the battle royal.

Eric Bischoff Promo: Noooooooooo!!! Being robbed of my women's wrestling. Knew I shouldn't of pre-ordered this pay-per-view.

The Caribbean Connection Promo: Really liked this promo and how these two play off each other. AMW vs. Caribbean Connection should be a good match, but AMW's partying has ruined any chance at that. Looking forward to how it all plays out at SummerSlam.

Super Crazy vs. Chavo Guerrero vs. Jamie Noble vs. Evan Bourne: Nice to see the cruiserweights get some time and Brian Kendrick sure as always comes to get himself heat, which is great to see the audience cares! Looking forward to seeing what happens with the cruisers after SummerSlam.

SummerSlam Rundown: Great as always, for some reason these are always my favorite things to read before PPVs and you always deliver.

World Heavyweight Championship Package: Some more great hype up for the main event match, I have absolutely no clue how this one will play out.

Test w/Triple H vs. Rey Mysterio: Nice way to finish the show with a big brawl to build up for the SummerSlam matches. Great save by Lesnar at the end creating carnage and mayhem before the big match with Triple H. I can't wait for SummerSlam!

Prediction Template for WWE SummerSlam:

11. World Heavyweight Championship Match:
World Heavyweight Champion Christian w/ Ricky ‘Hitman’ Hatton
VS.
Mr. Money in the Bank; Unbeaten & Undefeated Umaga w/ Armando Estrada

I wish it wasnt true but I cant see anyway in which Christian wins here. I think he will put up an incredibly valiant attempt and even get a few near falls but Umaga has been booked so strongly going into this that I cant see anyway of him not winning.

9. WWE Championship Match:
Randy Orton vs. Rob Van Dam

RVD seems to have Orton's number but I can see the viper snaking around this challenge and somehow escaping with the gold if for anything but to further the feud.

4. World Tag Team Championships | Tables Ladders and Chairs Match:
!!THE FINAL CHAPTER - LOSERS LEAVE RAW!!
MNM vs. Straight Edge

Thanks to the entourage, i can see this being an incredible spot fest but the help of MNM's lackeys will give them the win and provide AMW with a fresh challenge on smackdown.

2. WWE Tag Team Championships Match:
Americas Most Wanted vs. The Caribbean Connection

AMW may be out of shape but think about it....we didnt see them last week on smackdown, thats because I think they were getting in shape for Summerslam. AMW to retain and go on to feud with StraightEdge when they lose.

1. WWE Intercontinental Championship | Triple Threat Match:
Shelton Benjamin vs. Matt Hardy vs. William Regal

A feel good win here is needed but I see Hardy NOT Regal getting the gold here. A near fall from regal will be cut off by Hardy and Hardy will win the gold.

5. WWE United States Championship Match:
Paul London vs. M.V.P

London may be running on fumes but I still see him winning this one.

8. Womens Championship Match:
Mickie James vs. Beth Phoenix

I think James will show but get beaten in her weakened state.

6. !!THE WRESTLEMANIA REMATCH!!
~ STREETFIGHT ~
Triple H vs. Brock Lesnar

NO QUESTION, Lesnar won the first, Trips will win this one and then I see a rubber match either at Survivor Series or next years mania.Lesnar wont lose face as he isnt 100%, same as trips wasnt at Mania.

3. ~ FIRST TIME EVER ~
John Cena vs. Mr. Kennedy w/The Miz

Kennedy must win this to be proven not to be a choke artist. Cena can still come back from his downward spiral, hopefully by turning heel.

10. One on One:
Edge vs. The Undertaker

Edge needs to prove his worth and only by winning this one will he do that.

7. Grudge Match:
Rey Mysterio vs. Kurt Angle

Angle has pissed over Rey's heritage and Mysterio needs to gain some momentum back.

11 World Heavyweight Championship Match:
World Heavyweight Champion Christian w/ Ricky ‘Hitman’ Hatton
VS.
Mr. Money in the Bank; Unbeaten & Undefeated Umaga w/ Armando Estrada

I think this will be a win for Christian. You have made Christian into a legit face of the company and I think he will pull out the shock victory here as big a fan of Umaga sooner or later someone has to beat him and the only person I can see beating him is Christian.

10 WWE Championship Match:
Randy Orton vs. Rob Van Dam

Might be me being an Orton mark but I see him pulling out the win here yet again. RVD win a few shows back makes me feel Orton wins by cheating leading to an extreme rules match at the next paperview which RVD wins.

6 World Tag Team Championships | Tables Ladders and Chairs Match:
!!THE FINAL CHAPTER - LOSERS LEAVE RAW!!
MNM vs. Straight Edge

Smackdown will need a new heel team to fight for the tag titles.

2 WWE Tag Team Championships Match:
Americas Most Wanted vs. The Caribbean Connection

Obvious and needs to happen.

1 WWE Intercontinental Championship | Triple Threat Match:
Shelton Benjamin vs. Matt Hardy vs. William Regal

I think if Matt was going to win the title he would have by now so I can see Regal winning to a massive pop from the crowd.

5 WWE United States Championship Match:
Paul London vs. M.V.P

I can see Paul London having a full on main event feud with Orton soon so he needs to drop his US title.

3 Womens Championship Match:
Mickie James vs. Beth Phoenix

9 !!THE WRESTLEMANIA REMATCH!!

Default Re: Being The Booker

Prediction Template for WWE SummerSlam:

11- World Heavyweight Championship Match:
World Heavyweight Champion Christian w/ Ricky ‘Hitman’ Hatton
VS.
Mr. Money in the Bank; Unbeaten & Undefeated Umaga w/ Armando Estrada
You've always talked about 'striking whilst the iron is hot', and right now it's red hot. There is no better time to give Umaga the belt (which I believe will be his first run as world champion in any BTB thread, well, the ones that matter anyway). I'm not sure how long he'll hold it for. I wouldn't be absolutely shocked to see Christian retain the title, but there's a lot more to gain for Umaga by winning than there is for Christian.

10- WWE Championship Match:
Randy Orton vs. Rob Van Dam
As indifferent as I am to Randy Orton in this thread (since it's like reading you write out his real life character every show), this has been building for a while, and going forward I see absolutely no reason for Van Dam to hold the title. I expect RVD to put in a great showing, but ultimately, Orton should pick up the clean win and end this feud. I could see you booking it for a little while longer and wrapping things up in some sort of gimmick match, but I don't think it needs that. I'd rather see Orton win (sigh) and move on to something new.

4- World Tag Team Championships | Tables Ladders and Chairs Match:
!!THE FINAL CHAPTER - LOSERS LEAVE RAW!!
MNM vs. Straight Edge
I'm stumped as to who will win this one because I didn't see the Loser Leaves Raw stipulation coming. Nonetheless, it makes more sense for Straight Edge to go over, regain their championships and look good whilst MNM go to Smackdown as that brand needs another heel tag team beside AMW.

1- WWE Tag Team Championships Match:
Americas Most Wanted vs. The Caribbean Connection
I said it before and I'll say it again, it is IMPERATIVE that whoever challenges AMW at SummerSlam wins the WWE Tag Team Titles. For AMW to come back and win, even if you do your best to make Kofi and Carlito look good, won't work for me. And yes, you are writing this for my approval. If Kofi and Carlito lose, they'll look extremely weak. If AMW win, they'll look like they got what they deserved and the tag team titles will be on a team who look credible, even if they have only been teaming up for a short while.

6- WWE Intercontinental Championship | Triple Threat Match:
Shelton Benjamin vs. Matt Hardy vs. William Regal
Despite Matt chasing Benjamin for months, SURELY you can't resist putting the belt on the greatest Englishman to have ever stepped foot in the ring in his home country in WEMBLEY FRICKIN' STADIUM!? I know, he's probably only in there because you wanted to avoid Shelton/Matt as a one-on-one confrontation again, and sure, Matt will probably win, but if Regal doesn't win you'd have a riot on your hands. Let him have the belt for a short run. Hell, have him drop the belt back to Benjamin the next night on Raw for all I care. This is a moment too good to be passed up.

3- WWE United States Championship Match:
Paul London vs. M.V.P
London hasn't been champion for that long, but he's one of those guys who can afford to lose the championship earlier than others. What I mean is, it's more important about he won it than it is for how long he holds it. Anyway, MVP will cheat to win and get the title, but I think the feud will continue for a while longer.

2- Womens Championship Match:
Mickie James vs. Beth Phoenix
For this great Divas angle (which after some thought I've decided I'm going to take credit for) to come full circle I think Mickie needs to hold on to the title for JUST a while longer. I think she'll come back, fight hard, keep the belt, and have her breakdown after SummerSlam.

9- !!THE WRESTLEMANIA REMATCH!!
~ STREETFIGHT ~
Triple H vs. Brock Lesnar
Heading into WrestleMania, the feud was all about Brock Lesnar. This time, it's all about The Game (see what I did there? ) After all this time, I still don't see what the actual POINT of this feud is what with Lesnar now being on Smackdown (speaking of the draft, where the hell is Ric Flair? Don't think I've forgotten that, mister) but perhaps you just wanted a big match for SummerSlam?

5- ~ FIRST TIME EVER ~
John Cena vs. Mr. Kennedy w/The Miz
Cena's been on somewhat of a downfall as of late, and I think this match is only going to take that to the next level. After all, how embarrassing for Cena to lose in Wembley Stadium to Kennedy with MIZ of all people in Kennedy's corner?

8- One on One:
Edge vs. The Undertaker
I know I'm wrong and that Edge is going over, but after what you did on Raw, I actually think Taker NEEDS this win now more than Edge!! Yep, I said it. Think about it Wolfy. Taker comes back after months of inactivity, loses in some cheap fashion days before he's supposed to do the job for Edge, and then goes on to lose to SummerSlam (presumably cleanly) to Edge? You've just buried (I hate using that term because it's so overused, but it's oh so appropriate right now) someone who is PERFECT to put other people over. Sure, you could have Edge win and claim he's now a 'legit' main eventer, but what does it mean for Edge to win when Orton already beat Taker on RAW? I don't know, maybe I'm overreacting, but I really didn't like that decision and I won't let you forget it (*cough*d'lobrown*cough). Looking at the match now, I think the best and only thing for you to do would be for Taker to win clean, with Edge narrowly missing out on beating The Phenom, but than have Edge batter Taker to a bloody pulp after the match and establish himself as a top dog on Smackdown.

7- Grudge Match:
Rey Mysterio vs. Kurt Angle
Angle should really be competing for the World Heavyweight Championship, but oh well. You'd benefit more from having Angle (who only a few months ago beat Cena CLEAN) pick up a win and go on to put someone else over than have Rey pick up the victory. Hopefully Kurt tears the little midget's leg off with the Ankle Lock applied.

---

Pre-Show 20 Man Battle Royal:
Batista, Garrison Cade, Jeff Hardy, Burchill, Tyson Tomko, X-Pac, Zack Ryder, Curt Hawkins, Ken Doane, Jamie Noble, Chavo Guerrero, Super Crazy, Evan Bourne, Hardcore Holly, Cody Rhodes, Nick Nemeth, Chris Masters, Rhyno, Mark Henry, Scotty Too Hotty
Burchill's the hometown hero, what better way to warm up the crowd? Also, Batista was competing (albeit briefly) for the WWE Championship a few months ago. What the HELL is he doing in some meaningless battle royal? I know you're probably going to go for Garrison Cade to win, but that boat sailed about five years ago. Move on old timer.

!! THE PREDICTION CONTEST !!
1. Predict the winners (12 points) Done.
2. Predict the match order (not counting the Pre-show battle royal) I hate this but done. (11 points)
3. Longest match (3 points) Brock/Triple H.
4. Shortest match (3 points) Women's title match.
5. Will the womens championship match even happen?? (2 points) Yes.
6. On Smackdown, Brent Albright and Charlie Haas promised to be at Summerslam, but what impact/role will the Master Craftsmen have on the show?? (5 points) I have no idea (btw FIVE POINTS, ARE YOU KIDDING ME?) I don't think they'll interfere in any matches, but they might attack the new WWE Tag Team champs after they've won the belts.
7.Predict the final four of the pre-show battle royal (4 points) Batista, Cade, Burchill and Cody Rhodes.

11- World Heavyweight Championship Match:
World Heavyweight Champion Christian w/ Ricky ‘Hitman’ Hatton
VS.
Mr. Money in the Bank; Unbeaten & Undefeated Umaga w/ Armando Estrada
Real tough choice here. I usually pic winners in championship matches based on who they could face going forward from here (as you'll see below). Looking at the Raw roster, Angle seems the natural choice if Christian wins here. However, should Umaga win, there's not a whole lot more for him. I don't think you'd go back to Cena in the title hunt, it's still perhaps too soon for Michaels to come back looking for revenge. So I'm gonna go for Christian here, the man to finally slay the dragon. But this one could easily go either way.

10- WWE Championship Match:
Randy Orton vs. Rob Van Dam
I think Orton will be the focal point of Smackdown for a while longer. I really think that soon we'll see a Ric Flair return, as I remember you speaking of previously shelving an Orton/Flair feud. So Orton wins here, perhaps faces Undertaker in the interim, and Flair is his next major feud.

4- World Tag Team Championships | Tables Ladders and Chairs Match:
!!THE FINAL CHAPTER - LOSERS LEAVE RAW!!
MNM vs. Straight Edge
Pretty sure on this one. After the way the titles landed back on MNM, Straight Edge should win this one to finally end this feud. MNM can then go over to Smackdown to challenge the new champions below.

6- WWE Tag Team Championships Match:
Americas Most Wanted vs. The Caribbean Connection
The way you've built the champs to be out of shape drunks, anything other than a win for the Connection would be a real slap in the face. New champs, and a new heel team for them to feud with due to the result above.

2- WWE Intercontinental Championship | Triple Threat Match:
Shelton Benjamin vs. Matt Hardy vs. William Regal
Despite this feud being much more about Matt and Shelton, Regal is a real strong shout to win due to the home country influence. I'm gonna go for Shelton here, only for him to finally drop it to Matt further down the road. But wouldn't surprise me at all if Regal left as champ.

1- WWE United States Championship Match:
Paul London vs. M.V.P
Given the long build you gave London in his chase of Albright and the gold, I think it's far too early for him to lose the strap. Rematch is probably on the cards and the feud will carry on, but on this night, London gets the win.

3- Womens Championship Match:
Mickie James vs. Beth Phoenix
I think you'll give Mickie the win here. So much of the build has been around the backstory between the two that I think Mickie gets the win here tonight to put that chapter of the feud behind them. Moving forward, I'd say the focus switches much more towards the title, with Beth eventually becoming champion. But not tonight.

5- !!THE WRESTLEMANIA REMATCH!!
~ STREETFIGHT ~
Triple H vs. Brock Lesnar
As I said to you previously, this is the one I'm most looking forward to. And at the same time, the one I'm struggling with to call the most. Having lost at Mania, do you really want to give Trips a second big loss to Lesnar? Especially given the 'Mania defeat, the loss to Christian in HiaC, would a third major PPV defeat this year for 'The Game' be beneficial? Plus, do you really want to revisit Orton/Lesnar? I'm not so sure. So that's why I'm gonna go for Triple H here. But yet again, where does he go on Raw? I doubt you'll return to Christian/HHH, so I'm really lost on that front. But yeah, this match goes to HHH imo.

8- ~ FIRST TIME EVER ~
John Cena vs. Mr. Kennedy w/The Miz
You seem to be gearing up for an eventual Cena heel turn. So Kennedy gets the win here, further adding to Cena's frustrations. Pretty simple really.

9- One on One:
Edge vs. The Undertaker
Given what happened on Raw, and the fact I've got Orton retaining, I just don't see how Edge could win here. He's been the main instigator in this feud, he's been the man pushing it in Undertaker's absence, but now he's gotten what he wants he'll pay the price with a defeat. I think you need to establish some main event faces on Smackdown, and besides the possible return of Ric Flair I mentioned above, an Undertaker win here puts him right back in the hunt.

7- Grudge Match:
Rey Mysterio vs. Kurt Angle
He beat Cena not so long ago, so surely he sees of Mysterio here and goes on to get the title shot against Christian that was robbed from him before Backlash.

---

Pre-Show 20 Man Battle Royal:
Batista, Garrison Cade, Jeff Hardy, Burchill, Tyson Tomko, X-Pac, Zack Ryder, Curt Hawkins, Ken Doane, Jamie Noble, Chavo Guerrero, Super Crazy, Evan Bourne, Hardcore Holly, Cody Rhodes, Nick Nemeth, Chris Masters, Rhyno, Mark Henry, Scotty Too Hotty
I'm gonna go for Nemeth purely because I think a series between him and London would be pretty sweet. So he pulls off a bit of an upset here.

!! THE PREDICTION CONTEST !!
1. Predict the winners (12 points) Yup.
2. Predict the match order (not counting the Pre-show battle royal) (11 points) Yup.
3. Longest match (3 points) Street Fight.
4. Shortest match (3 points) Carribean Connection/AMW
5. Will the womens championship match even happen?? (2 points) Yes.
6. On Smackdown, Brent Albright and Charlie Haas promised to be at Summerslam, but what impact/role will the Master Craftsmen have on the show?? (5 points) Um... god, who knows. Eh... I guess they could attack Kofi and Carlito after their win.
7.Predict the final four of the pre-show battle royal (4 points) Batista, Jeff Hardy, Nick Nemeth and Rhyno.

Really looking forward to it.

Prediction Template for WWE SummerSlam:

11. World Heavyweight Championship Match:
World Heavyweight Champion Christian w/ Ricky ‘Hitman’ Hatton
VS.
Mr. Money in the Bank; Unbeaten & Undefeated Umaga w/ Armando Estrada

I want Umaga to win but i think with this closing the show, with Hatton in Christian's corner i can't see things ending on a sour note and Christian gets a huge rub beating the monster.

9. WWE Championship Match:
Randy Orton vs. Rob Van Dam

Think it's much more important for Orton to retain here. A much stronger base for him moving forward than Van Dam in my opinion.

5. World Tag Team Championships | Tables Ladders and Chairs Match:
!!THE FINAL CHAPTER - LOSERS LEAVE RAW!!
MNM vs. Straight Edge

Think this one has the potential to steal the show and i sense Straight Edge regaining the gold, allowing MNM to head over to the blue brand.

2. WWE Tag Team Championships Match:
Americas Most Wanted vs. The Caribbean Connection

An absolute must that these guys win the gold. They lose and they lose all credibility in letting the out of shape AMW retain.

1. WWE Intercontinental Championship | Triple Threat Match:
Shelton Benjamin vs. Matt Hardy vs. William Regal

As much as i think the feelgood Regal winning moment would be, i think Shelton's all set up to lose the gold one on one to Hardy eventually. I see Regal coming close but falling just short.

4. WWE United States Championship Match:
Paul London vs. M.V.P

I'm torn on this one, really am but i've gone with the Golden Boy to just about pull through but i do think MVP will take the title and it wouldn't surprise me if it was here.

6. Womens Championship Match:
Mickie James vs. Beth Phoenix

Mickie to retain somehow, someway and this feud extends a little longer, perhaps even a little more personal if it can get that.

10. !!THE WRESTLEMANIA REMATCH!!
~ STREETFIGHT ~
Triple H vs. Brock Lesnar

Really tough one to call here. I'm going for Trips though as i think two straight defeats to the Iron Man would do him no good at all and it wouldn't harm Lesnar being beaten either. It'll be war though whatever the outcome.

8. ~ FIRST TIME EVER ~
John Cena vs. Mr. Kennedy w/The Miz

Cena's gonna snap eventually and another efeat here helps along that process. Kennedy needs this more than Cena also.

7. One on One:
Edge vs. The Undertaker

Going with Edge here. He needs a big boost before taking to his title quest once again and if he's defeated here after giving all the talk he has done about needing this then he's gonna slide further down. I'll mention a little further down another possibility.

3. Grudge Match:
Rey Mysterio vs. Kurt Angle

Angle's the one for me here, he's looked an animal of late in his ruthlessness and a win here kicks him on again.

---

Pre-Show 20 Man Battle Royal:
Batista, Garrison Cade, Jeff Hardy, Burchill, Tyson Tomko, X-Pac, Zack Ryder, Curt Hawkins, Ken Doane, Jamie Noble, Chavo Guerrero, Super Crazy, Evan Bourne, Hardcore Holly, Cody Rhodes, Nick Nemeth, Chris Masters, Rhyno, Mark Henry, Scotty Too Hotty

!! THE PREDICTION CONTEST !!
1. Predict the winners (12 points) Done.
2. Predict the match order (not counting the Pre-show battle royal) (11 points) Done.
3. Longest match (3 points) Trips/Lesnar
4. Shortest match (3 points) Women’s Title
5. Will the womens championship match even happen?? (2 points) Yes
6. On Smackdown, Brent Albright and Charlie Haas promised to be at Summerslam, but what impact/role will the Master Craftsmen have on the show?? (5 points) Now that’s a question and a half. I haven’t got a clue here, really haven’t. I’ll go with something wild and say they attack or cost The Undertaker to make a statement, leading to a big rub feud with the Deadman.
7.Predict the final four of the pre-show battle royal (4 points) Batista, Cade, Nemeth, Hardy.

Really looking forward to it, should be incredibly good. You know i'll be back to give some thoughts, good luck.

Prediction Template for WWE SummerSlam:

11.World Heavyweight Championship Match:
World Heavyweight Champion Christian w/ Ricky ‘Hitman’ Hatton
VS.
Mr. Money in the Bank; Unbeaten & Undefeated Umaga w/ Armando Estrada

As much as Umaga has been dominant in the build-up, I think Christian will be the one to break the undefeated streak of the Samoan Bulldozer. Estrada will get his commeupance from Hatton, hopefully as well. If Umaga were to win, Christian is the only real face that can challenge for the title until HBK is able to return, but I don't think the championship needs to be involved in HBK/Umaga. Christian can then move onto Angle, Kennedy or maybe even Triple H again.

9.WWE Championship Match:
Randy Orton vs. Rob Van Dam

As I'll explain later, I think Orton has to win here, because either Orton himself or Edge would be RVD's only potential challengers, but I do see Van Dam possibly winning a rematch further down the line.

5.World Tag Team Championships | Tables Ladders and Chairs Match:
!!THE FINAL CHAPTER - LOSERS LEAVE RAW!!

MNM vs. Straight Edge

This has been a great feud and this is a fantastic way to end the rivalry between these two teams, but Straight Edge have to get the win, so MNM are able to go over to Smackdown and play with the Caribbean Connection.

2.WWE Tag Team Championships Match:
Americas Most Wanted vs. The Caribbean Connection

Easiest one to predict, I feel. Caribbean Connection have to win, otherwise the development of all of these new teams from the tournament would seem extremely futile as well as making the CC look incredibly weak, losing to the out of shape champions.

1.WWE Intercontinental Championship | Triple Threat Match:
Shelton Benjamin vs. Matt Hardy vs. William Regal

I think this will be the feel good win to start off the show and even if Regal only keeps the belt for a couple of weeks and loses it back to Shelton after that, I'll be fine. I've never been the biggest fan of either Hardy, so I'm not that bothered if Matt doesn't get his hands on the gold haha

3.WWE United States Championship Match:
Paul London vs. M.V.P

I know London has been feeling the effects of a hectic 2007, but his underdog character entails coming out trumps when all doubts are raised so I see the champion retaining here.

6.Womens Championship Match:
Mickie James vs. Beth Phoenix

Beth WILL WIN the championship, but not tonight. Mickie will make her recovery and somehow scrape through.

10.!!THE WRESTLEMANIA REMATCH!!
~ STREETFIGHT ~

Triple H vs. Brock Lesnar

Lesnar won at Mania, Triple H gets the win here to even it up. The rubber match will come at either Survivor Series or Wrestlemania.

4.~ FIRST TIME EVER ~
John Cena vs. Mr. Kennedy w/The Miz

Kennedy can get the win and then possibly move into title contention, and Cena becomes even more frustrated, leading to a great angle for both men. I see Miz getting put through the announce table or something though as part of Cena's post match rage.

8.One on One:
Edge vs. The Undertaker

Edge to get the win here, but this will be the first in a series of matches between these two. I see Edge getting similar treatment to Christian from when he had that series of matches against Taker.

7.Grudge Match:
Rey Mysterio vs. Kurt Angle

Kurt has been too brilliant in the run up to Summerslam NOT to win.

---

Pre-Show 20 Man Battle Royal:
Batista, Garrison Cade, Jeff Hardy, Burchill, Tyson Tomko, X-Pac, Zack Ryder, Curt Hawkins, Ken Doane, Jamie Noble, Chavo Guerrero, Super Crazy, Evan Bourne, Hardcore Holly, Cody Rhodes, Nick Nemeth, Chris Masters, Rhyno, Mark Henry, Scotty Too Hotty

6. On Smackdown, Brent Albright and Charlie Haas promised to be at Summerslam, but what impact/role will the Master Craftsmen have on the show?? (5 points) They will attack the Caribbean Connection after they win the championships.
