Re: Being the booker
RAW: 8th November 2004; Richmond:
RAW kicked off in ominous fashion this week, with the Chairman of the board, Mr. McMahon appearing. He talked about how Sunday would end all the talk of Survivor Series ‘97, and would have people talking about Survivor Series ‘04 for years to come.
He reiterated what he had said in previous weeks by saying that Vince didn’t screw Bret, Bret screwed Bret. Bret refused to play fair, he wouldn’t do what was right for business, he wasn’t a true professional.
He then turned to the crowd and told them to do the right thing and cheer for the real hero at Survivor Series, the man who re-energized wrestling with one move, the man who DID do the right thing for business in 1997 - VINCE MC MAHON!!!
Vince told the crowd to be true to themselves, and follow their heart, and give their backing to Mr. McMahon.
He then showed the footage from Montreal ‘97 again and before leaving asked the crowd, Who screwed who? Did Vince really screw Bret? Or did Bret screw Bret?
We then kicked off the in ring action, with a divas tag match seeing Shaniqua and Jazz take on Victoria and #1 Contender, Lita.
With Lita set to take on Shaniqua for the title this Sunday, things did not look good for her, as Shaniqua demolished her within minutes, scoring a quick fire win over the challenger for the title. The beating was so one sided, that neither Victoria or Jazz had an opportunity to take part in the match.
Is this a sign of things to come at Survivor Series, or will Lita find a way around the power of Shaniqua.
It was announced that Raven would face Kane in a No DQ match at Survivor Series, after Raven asked for the match from GM Mick Foley. Raven was also in action on RAW as he took on the Brotherhoods Orlando Jordan in one on one action. Raven scored the victory in a pretty even contest. After the match, Kane made his way to the ring and tried to take down Raven, but Raven’s hardcore advantage paid off as he once again, sent the Big Red Machine into retreat.
After gaining an advantage over Kane now for two weeks straight, can Raven bring his advantage to Survivor Series and score with a victory this Sunday?
All five men involved in the 10 man Elimination match at Survivor Series were in action also this week in three separate matches, against each other. Matt Morgan took on Sting in a Non Title match, BookDust and RVD took on Flair, Batista and Christian, and John Cena faced Edge.
The first match saw Sting defeat the big man, Matt Morgan, after Morgan’s manager, Eric Bischoff accidentally hit his own client with the I.C Title belt, causing Sting to pick up the win.
Then in the 6 Man Tag, Batista picked up a pinfall victory over Booker T, thanks to interference from Matt Morgan. Evolution and Christian quickly high tailed with Morgan as BookDust and RVD argued in the ring. The trio nearly came to blows, but were eventually stopped by team leader John Cena and Sting.
Team Evolution laughed backstage as they watched the replay of what had happened, certain that John Cena’s team would fall apart at Survivor Series.
In the third match, John Cena faced Edge. After a solid, fast paced encounter, Cena scored with an FU, but the count was broken by Ric Flair, who then attacked Cena. The referee called for a DQ, and a war broke out between the two warring teams. Team Thuganomics rallied together to take down Team Evolution, just six days from Survivor Series, but with clear hostilities, can the five remain a team going into the event.
Throughout the night, Shawn Michaels stayed on the look out for Chris Jericho, wanting an apology for what happened last week in the main event, when Jericho mistakenly attacked HBK after thinking he attacked Y2J.
He couldn’t seem to find Jericho, but ran into Randy Orton, who smiled at HBK telling him that this Sunday, he cant wait to sit back and watch him and Jericho rip each other to shreds so he can then pick up the pieces and walk out World Champion.
HBK laughed in Orton’s face and told him that if he really thinks that he wont get an ass kicking too, then he is in a for a major shock, because not only is HBK hunting down Jericho’s ass, he wants to shut Orton up for good too.
Eventually Jericho arrived at the arena and made his way to the ring, he called out HBK so they could settle their differences right here, right now.
Orton then entered. He walked down to the ring, but before he could say a word, Jericho tackled him to the ground and beat on Orton. He grabbed a chair from ringside, and went for Orton, but HBK ran in and pulled the chair from him. He then knocked out Jericho with the chair, and stood over him, and began talking trash, until out of nowhere, Orton nailed an RKO on the unsuspecting HBK.
Orton then grabbed the title and raised it before placing it on top of Jericho, posing as the show went off the air, and onto Survivor Series.
Shaniqua and Jazz defeated Victoria and Lita
Sting defeated Matt Morgan
Ric Flair, Batista and Christian defeated Booker T, Goldust and RVD
Raven defeated Orlando Jordan
John Cena defeated Edge by DQ
SmackDown: 11th November 2004; Cincinnati:
With just three days until Survivor Series, tensions were high at Smackdown this week. Two titles were on the line, and much, much more went down too.
First up, Triple H came to the ring. He talked about being the master of the Elimination Chamber, winning once, and being runner up once, even carrying a life threatening injury during the match. He said that not even the worst gamblers in the world would go against him at Survivor Series, and he would prove tonight, that he is the man to beat, by demolishing Goldberg.
Then the Rock entered. He said that he had never been in the Chamber before, and after Sunday, he hopes he never has to go back, but if it means that he has a shot at the WWE Championship, he will go into the Chamber, and Dungeon, a Shuttle, or a Supermarket, all for the gold. And this Sunday, the Rock promises to walk out….WWE Champion!!!
Kanyon defended the U.S Title against Spanky, after Spanky defeated the U.S Champion on Velocity the previous week in a non title match. This time though, Kanyon came out on top, using some dirty tactics.
Brock Lesnar and Paul Heyman then came to the ring to discuss this Sundays Chamber match. They said that they had listened to everything Rock just said, and everything that The Game has said over the last few weeks, but Brock Lesnar doesn’t speak, he maims. And this Sunday, he will maim his five opponents, one by one.
Chris Benoit took on William Regal in a Lumberjack match, with the Lumberjacks being the partners of both men at Survivor Series. After just a few minutes though, the match was ruled a no contest, after the Lumberjacks brawled on the outside, and then inside with a ten man war breaking out. Regal and his compatriots ended the encounter on top after all five used Brass Knucks on the five opponents at Survivor Series, leaving them laying, as Regal and Co. shared a laugh as the walked up the ramp.
Will this give Regal and his side the edge for the contest this Sunday, or will this savage beat down inspire Chris Benoit and his cohorts to victory? Find out at Survivor Series.
Backstage, the Big Show was interviewed, asked about his views on what will happen at Survivor Series in the Chamber. He said he will tell it like it is, he is 500 pounds, they have nowhere to run, nowhere to hide, and he WILL be thirsty for blood. End of Story.
Angle then interrupted. He said the Big Show that he can play the role of the Angry Giant all he wants, but he will not intimidate Kurt Angle. He won the Gold medals with a Broken neck, he wrestled WrestleMania with a broken neck, and came back from surgery just three months later, and at Survivor Series, he is on a quest to win back the WWE Title, and not Big Show, Goldberg, Triple H or Godzilla is gonna stop him.
Big Show was then in action against Ultimo Dragon to get him warmed up for Survivor Series. He defeated Dragon in less than two minutes, sending a message to his five opponents in the Chamber on Sunday.
After this, the Tag Titles were on the line as Hurricane and Storm agreed to give the Basham’s a shot after all their recent troubles, and losing streak. The #1 Contender for the Cruiserweight Title, Hurricane and his partner were cruising to victory until Chavo Junior and Classic showed up at ringside. Classic distracted the referee, while Chavo battered Hurricane with the Cruiserweight Belt, before being chased by Citizen Storm out of the ring.
Danny Basham crawled over to make the cover, 1.….2.….3!!!!! The Basham’s finally ended their losing streak by becoming Tag Team Champions!!
Storm was irate as the NEW Tag Champions couldn’t believe their luck.
Will this loss play on the mind of Hurricane going into Survivor Series, or will Lance Storm look to help his partner by getting payback on Chavo for costing Hurricane and himself the Tag belts??
A video played, promoting America’s Most Wanted, debuting soon to Smackdown!! How soon will this be, and what effect will AMW have on Smackdown??
Bret Hart then came to the ring. He used this time to talk about the match at Survivor Series with Vince. He spoke from the heart, saying that at Survivor Series, he will strike a small measure of revenge on Vince for all he has done wrong. He will embarrass Vince, he will kick the crap out of him, it wont be pretty, and it WILL be painful. Seven years of bad luck WILL come to an end. For one night only, the excellence of execution will return, for one night only, he will show the world the best there is, the best there was, and the best there ever will be!!!!! The talk is over, now it’s time for the fight!!!
Then it was main event time and Goldberg took on Triple H in a non title match. HHH dominated the early going, with some technical wrestling, before Goldberg fought back, and powered The Game to the ground. He then hit all of his signature moves, before moving in for the Spear. He nailed the Spear, but then Big Show made his way to ring, and Goldberg went straight for him. They brawled on the outside, ending the match in a No Contest, with Triple H grabbing the Sledgehammer and putting both down.
He then challenged The Rock to face him in the ring right now. Rock then came out and stood at the ramp. He thought about coming down for a minute then nodded. He then walked toward the ring, but quick as a flash, Lesnar jumped The Rock, and nailed an F5 on the ramp.
He then made his way into the ring, and went at it with Triple H. Neither really got an advantage, until Kurt Angle ran down to the ring with a steel chair. He laid out both men, but then was nailed by a vicious Spear form Goldberg. Big Show then tried to get back in, but was hit with a chair by Goldberg back to the outside.
Goldberg then Jackhammered both Brock Lesnar and The Game, before The Rock staggered into the ring. He tried to take on Goldberg, but was overpowered, and Speared. Goldberg then finally Jackhammered Angle, and Big Show, showing his dominance as the show went off the air, with Goldberg standing tall in the middle of the ring, heading to Survivor Series.
Kanyon defeated Spanky to retain the United States Championship
Chris Benoit and Scott Steiner wrestled to a no contest in a Lumberjack match.
Big Show defeated Ultimo Dragon
The Basham Brother’s defeated Hurricane & Citizen Storm to become the NEW WWE Tag Team Champions
Goldberg and Triple H fought to a no contest.

Re: Being the booker
Great Reports! Can't wait for Sunday!!
1. William Regal, Test, Steiner, Charlie Haas & Shelton Benjamin vs. Eddie Guerrero, Chris Benoit, Faarooq, Bradshaw & Rey Mysterio:
I believe Benoit's team will win mainly because Regal's team got an advantage on the last smackdown!
2. Hurricane v Chavo:
I see a heel turn here from Storm with the reason being that Hurricane cost them the tag titles. Chavo retaining the title thanks to Storm.
3. Shaniqua v Lita:
Shaniqua will continue her dominance and retain her title but I guess this feud will continue and Lita will eventually win it.
4. Kane v Raven - NO DQ:
Tough one to call but I guess Kane will show his power again and will win this one but only slightly but I do see this feud continuing.
5. Team Evolution v Team Thuganomics:
Although Team Thuganomics will have some problems during the match, they will still pull one over Team Evolution (who might start having problems on their own).
6. HBK v Jericho v Orton
Tough to call too. I would love to see HBK win but I guess Jericho will retain and continue the feud with Orton.
7. Elimination Chamber Match:
All superstars look good contendors to win this one. I will go with Brock Lesnar probably with help from Paul Heyman.
8. Bret v McMahon:
The Most Electrifying Match Of All Time. This feud cannot end with only one match. I see a screwjob again in this match. McMahon will win this one thanks to Stephanie or Undertaker?
Overall Survivor Series is the best yet!
