Final Card for WWE Wrestle Mania XXIII:
Date: 18th March 2007
Location: Superdome, New Orleans, Louisiana
Event Music: U2 & Green Day; The Saints are Coming & Killers; Sams Town

World Heavyweight Championship Match:
!!COLLISION COURSE!!
World Heavyweight Champion, John Cena vs.
2007 Royal Rumble Winner, Christian

Wow, this one really stumped me. There are so many reasons for either Cena or Christian to win, I'm just going to take a stab in the dark and say Christian because it is more exciting to end a WrestleMania with a title change, but Cena hasn't had much of a reign and it would seem strange to give him a month long title reign leading up to WrestleMania and then having him drop the title. Anyway, I'm going with Christian.

WWE Championship; Triple Threat Match:
WWE Champion, Rob Van Dam vs.
Mr. Money in the Bank, Edge vs.
‘Highlight of the Night’ Chris Jericho

Another tough one. I can't see RVD coming out on top, because eight months is plenty time for a reign, and I think it's time for a fresh title reign and at least one heel should win a major championship. Since Cena and Christian are both faces, I think it has to be Edge or Jericho. The more likely pick is Edge, but again, I'll take a stab in the dark and pick Jericho to win it.

WWE Tag Team Championships Match;
Americas Most Wanted vs. The Hardy Boys

Unless there is some kind of heel turn, I don't think it makes sense to have Jeff come back, reunite The Hardy Boys, compete for the first time in years at WrestleMania against a heel tag team and lose. I'm picking the Hardys.

One Fall; Triple Jeopardy Match:
Intercontinental, World Tag Team & Womens Championships all on the line:
Rey Mysterio, CM Punk. Gregory Helms & Alexis Laree vs. Mr. Kennedy, Mercury, Nitro & Melina

Cruiserweight Championship Match:
Kid Kash vs. Brian Kendrick

I don't have much to say about who I think will or should win and why, but hell, why not?

United States Championship Match:
Brent Albright vs. Batista

A win over Batista on the biggest stage would elevate this guy to the next level. I really like Albright and it just seems like the right move to have him continue to pull out wins over, on paper, superior competition.

Money in the Bank Ladder Match:
WINNER HAS AUTOMATIC TITLE SHOT ANYTIME IN NEXT 12 MONTHS
M.V.P vs. Umaga vs. Paul London vs. Finlay vs. Carlito vs. Randy Orton vs. Charlie Haas vs. Shelton Benjamin

I really have no idea. I don't know if I can picture any of these guys except Orton being champion any time soon, but it seems to obvious for Orton to win it since he's already had title reigns in this thread. I'm guessing Umaga will somehow climb the ladder and get the briefcase, and strike fear in the entire WWE with that all important briefcase.

FIRST TIME EVER:
!!FIVE YEARS IN THE MAKING!!
Triple H vs. Brock Lesnar
With The McMahon Family Empire in the corner of Triple H, and ‘Stone Cold’ Steve Austin as special guest enforcer.

This is my favorite match of the card. It's going to be a huge brawl with a lot of near-finishes and run-ins, and I see Lesnar coming out on top, but I don't think this feud will end at WrestleMania.

The Irresistible Force vs. The Immovable Object:
Kurt Angle vs. The Undertaker

Maybe you'll shock us all, but I don't see. 'Taker keeps the streak alive in what should be a classic.

Non Sanctioned Match:
Mick Foley vs. Shawn Michaels

Foley will get his 'Mania moment and take some kind of absolutely sick bump and HBK will come out on top in a brutal showdown. Can't wait to read this one.

Final Card for WWE WrestleMania XXIII:
Date: March 18, 2007
Location: Superdome, New Orleans, Louisiana
Event Music: U2 & Green Day; The Saints are Coming & Killers; Sams Town

World Heavyweight Championship Match: (10th match) Longest Match
John Cena vs Christian

This is such a tough one to call. Cena just won the title a month ago and Christian won the Royal Rumble to get this far. The only reason I'm choosing Christian to win is because if you have Cena win, it would end WM on a sour note. I hate seeing WM's ending with the champion retaining the title.

WWE Championship, Triple Threat Match: (8th match)
Rob Van Dam vs Edge vs Chris Jericho

This is another tough one to call. I have no doubt in my mind that this is gonna be a great match. Even though I would love Jericho to win the title for the 1st time at a WM, I am gonna go with my gut and choose Edge.

FIRST TIME EVER: 5 years in the making!!!!! (9th match)
Special Guest Enforcer: Stone Cold
Brock Lesnar vs Triple H

I have been looking forward to this match since it was first announced. I thank you so much for going with this match instead of what was originally planned. With that said, I have no idea who is going to win this match. I have a feeling that this feud is not ending at WM. Even though I was originally thinking that Brock was going to win, I'm starting to think that HHH is going to pull out an upset at WM and Brock gaining revenge in a gimmick match in the future.

The Irresistible Force vs The Immovable Object: (7th match)
The Undertaker vs Kurt Angle

This is an interesting match. You could pull off the shocker of the century and have Taker lose his undefeted streak which would be awesome. But I have a feeling your going to go the safe route and have Taker win. Even though I'm choosing Taker to win here, I still hope that you pull off a shocker here!!!

Non Sanctioned Match: (6th match)
Shawn Michaels vs Mick Foley

This has arguably been the best feud you've had leading into WM. I know this is going to be a crazy match and might just steal the show. Even though this is a predictable match, it doesn't take away the fact that it is going to be AWESOME!!!

MITB Ladder Match: Winner Has Automatic Title Shot Anytime In Next 12 Months (5th match)
Randy Orton vs. Umaga vs. Paul London vs. Shelton Benjamin vs. Carlito vs. MVP vs. Charlie Haas vs. Finlay

hhhm, I think this match could go 2 ways: Randy Orton wins, or you pull out a shock winner. I choose to go the safe route with this match. If there is any chance that John Cena wins the title from Christian, I predict that Orton will cash in the MITB at WM!!!!!!

Triple Jeopardy Match: IC, World Tag Team & Womens Titles (4th match)
Rey Mysterio, Straight Edge, Alexis Laree vs. Mr. Kennedy, M & M

This is definitely an interesting match. This match could go both ways. It would be cool if Straight Edge won the Tag Titles but at the same time I would like to see Kennedy win the IC Title. I'm totally making a complete guess here lol. I think Rey Mysterio will get the final fall.

United States Championship Match: (3rd match) Shortest Match
Brent Albright vs. Batista

After seeing Albright duck Batista for weeks, I think Batista takes the title here.

WWE Tag Team Championships Match: (2nd match)
Americas Most Wanted vs. The Hardy Boys

This should be a great match. I've commended you about having a better Tag Team division than WWE has in real life and I meant it. I'm going with a Hardy Boys win here since it's their WM comback.

Cruiserweight Championship Match: (1st match)
Kid Kash vs. Brian Kendrick

I have no real explanation here other than I think Kendrick is gonna win.

---

40 Person Pre-Show Battle Royal:
Orlando Jordan, Rodney Mack, Mark Henry, Garrison Cade, Nick Dinsmore, Ken Doane, Booker T, Elijah Burke, Snitsky, Val Venis, Kevin Thorn, Michael Knox, Harry Smith, Paul Burchill, Rob Conway, Rico, Stevie Richards, The Boogeyman, Simon Dean, Victoria, Dusty Rhodes, Goldust, William Regal, Hardcore Holly, Robbie MacAllister, Rory MacAllister, Trevor Murdoch, Festus Murdoch, Jamie Noble, Super Crazy, Chavo Guerrero, Cody Rhodes, Jerry Lawler, Akio, Danny Basham, Doug Basham, Deuce, Domino, Funaki, Scotty Too Hotty

WrestleMania 25 will be in Miami, FL

The only special appearance will be the band that sings the WM theme song

Pre Show Battle Royal Final 4: Nick Dinsmore, Booker T, Super Crazy, Mark Henry

Really tight to call but I have to hope Christian

WWE Championship; Triple Threat Match:
Rob Van Dam vs. Edge vs. Chris Jericho
Edge because of Money in the Bank. This is your first MITB winner I think (though it was Rey). To have Edge not get the title would make MITB look much weaker in your thread.

WWE Tag Team Championships Match;
Americas Most Wanted vs. The Hardy Boys
Hardys with a clean win.

One Fall; Triple Jeopardy Match:

Final Card for WWE Wrestle Mania XXIII:
Date: 18th March 2007
Location: Superdome, New Orleans, Louisiana
Event Music: U2 & Green Day; The Saints are Coming & Killers; Sams Town

10 World Heavyweight Championship Match:
!!COLLISION COURSE!!
World Heavyweight Champion, John Cena vs.
2007 Royal Rumble Winner, Christian

Probably the toughest WrestleMania Main Event I’ve had to pick in all my time in BTB. Looking back on it, putting the Title on Cena was genius because it creates such a stir as to who will be walking out with the Belt in this one. Cena looks to be moving more towards tweener, so a loss here will push him over the edge, imo. I really don’t see Christian struggling so much just to lose, and I see him as I see Edge, someone who HAS to win in his first ‘Mania Main Event. Should be an epic way to close the show, with a very difficult match to pick.

9 WWE Championship; Triple Threat Match:
WWE Champion, Rob Van Dam vs.
Mr. Money in the Bank, Edge vs.
‘Highlight of the Night’ Chris Jericho

Van Dam has had a much better WWE Title run than I ever could have imagined, and you’ve also made Chris Jericho into a great superstar again, but given the fact that RVD’s been Champion for 7 months and you said Jericho will probably on tour over the summer, Edge is the best choice to win this one. He’s been waiting for this his whole career and I don’t see him coming up short. A very hard one to choose, but I can’t see Edge failing to win on a stage this big.

6 WWE Tag Team Championships Match;
Americas Most Wanted vs. The Hardy Boys

As much as I’d like to see AMW get the win in this one, because I think it could solidify them as the best tag team you have, I really think that Matt and Jeff reunited to win these Belts. With that said, should be a fantastic tag team match, but the Hardyz are winning, continuing the feud for a month or so more.

1 One Fall; Triple Jeopardy Match:
Intercontinental, World Tag Team & Womens Championships all on the line:
Rey Mysterio, CM Punk. Gregory Helms & Alexis Laree vs. Mr. Kennedy, Mercury, Nitro & Melina

As much as I’d love to see Kennedy become the I.C. Champion, it’s obvious that MNM needs to drop their Belts. Kennedy can afford his team to lose as long as he doesn’t take the fall, so I see him winning the Title a few weeks after ‘Mania. But Straight Edge and Laree need this win badly, so they will finally get their Belts.

5 Cruiserweight Championship Match:
Kid Kash vs. Brian Kendrick

Some heel needs to win an undercard Title match at WM23, and I think it’ll be Kash. Like I said about Kennedy, BK will get the Belt eventually, just not tonight. Somehow Kash finds a way to keep the reign going, just so you don’t have all the heels lose their Titles.

2 United States Championship Match:
Brent Albright vs. Batista

Albright has had a great run as the U.S. Champion, as his character has been developed very well. But Batista needs this win if he ever wants to move up the card, which is something I see you doing during 2007.

3 Money in the Bank Ladder Match:
WINNER HAS AUTOMATIC TITLE SHOT ANYTIME IN NEXT 12 MONTHS
M.V.P vs. Umaga vs. Paul London vs. Finlay vs. Carlito vs. Randy Orton vs. Charlie Haas vs. Shelton Benjamin

Gonna go a little bit outside the box, as I know Orton has been built the best, but that’s exactly why he won’t win. You said it yourself in the preview; Orton’s a contender no matter what. That’s not the case with London, who has been very close to reaching the Main Event but never quite got there. This is his time, imo.

8 FIRST TIME EVER:
!!FIVE YEARS IN THE MAKING!!
Triple H vs. Brock Lesnar
With The McMahon Family Empire in the corner of Triple H, and ‘Stone Cold’ Steve Austin as special guest enforcer.

This is simply match #1 in what I am sure is going to be the feud that captivates us through SummerSlam. Lesnar will somehow find a way to overcome all the things in Triple H’s favor. This one certainly won’t be light on interference, because I seriously doubt that Austin will be able to stop everyone from getting involved. But I still see Lesnar getting a clean win, given how much he’s owned since becoming a tweener.

7 The Irresistible Force vs. The Immovable Object:
Kurt Angle vs. The Undertaker

It’s a shame that all of Angle’s momentum is going by wasted because he’s wrestling ‘Taker at WRESTLEMANIA. Kurt will get closer than anyone ever has to breaking the streak, but ‘Taker somehow finds a way to get it done. Should be the possibly MOTY contender. Feud has been brilliantly done, btw.

4 Non Sanctioned Match:
Mick Foley vs. Shawn Michaels

Foley may need that ‘Mania Moment more than anyone else in history, but it’s not happening tonight. Shawn is “Mr. WrestleMania”, and he needs to get some revenge for all that Mick’s been doing. Foley will probably leave again after this match, and that’s not the case with HBK. He gets some momentum heading into the new wrestling year.

---

40 Person Pre-Show Battle Royal:
Orlando Jordan, Rodney Mack, Mark Henry, Garrison Cade, Nick Dinsmore, Ken Doane, Booker T, Elijah Burke, Snitsky, Val Venis, Kevin Thorn, Michael Knox, Harry Smith, Paul Burchill, Rob Conway, Rico, Stevie Richards, The Boogeyman, Simon Dean, Victoria, Dusty Rhodes, Goldust, William Regal, Hardcore Holly, Robbie MacAllister, Rory MacAllister, Trevor Murdoch, Festus Murdoch, Jamie Noble, Super Crazy, Chavo Guerrero, Cody Rhodes, Jerry Lawler, Akio, Danny Basham, Doug Basham, Deuce, Domino, Funaki, Scotty Too Hotty

He’s gonna be getting a push after WM23, right?

Event Music: U2 & Green Day; The Saints are Coming & Killers; Sams Town

10World Heavyweight Championship Match:
!!COLLISION COURSE!!
World Heavyweight Champion, John Cena vs.
2007 Royal Rumble Winner, Christian

Cena's only just won the strap admittedly, but he can afford the short reign tbh. If Christian's momentum at the top is wasted on the big stage, it could kill his credibility in the thread. Plus, with Cena's slow, gradual heel turn all but guaranteed, what better way to push it along tan by him losing not only the title but also his spot as the #1 babyface to Captain Charisma? Oh, and Christian|Hunter is happening for the title at SummerSlam at the very latest

9WWE Championship; Triple Threat Match:
WWE Champion, Rob Van Dam vs.
Mr. Money in the Bank, Edge vs.
‘Highlight of the Night’ Chris Jericho

To HELL with the MITB contract imo. I can tell that's it's been a kind of annoyance rather than an enjoyment to you over the year, and I don't think you actually want to put the strap on Edge. Face it, after Jericho and Angle, he's only the third best heel on the show. I think you're going to make up for your mistake at SummerSlam by giving the belt to the King Of The World. Please?

1WWE Tag Team Championships Match;
Americas Most Wanted vs. The Hardy Boys

I'd love it. Hate The Hardys as a team. Much prefer Matt when he's solo and Jeff when he's umemployed, so I'm going for a surprise AMW victory here as they steal one, and win at WM for the first time ever. Obviously Matt & Jeff will get the title at some point, but seeing as you've killed the rest of the tag division with these two teams, it needs to last a little bit longer.

4One Fall; Triple Jeopardy Match:
Intercontinental, World Tag Team & Womens Championships all on the line:
Rey Mysterio, CM Punk. Gregory Helms & Alexis Laree vs. Mr. Kennedy, Mercury, Nitro & Melina

It really is a damn shame that Kennedy (change your usertitle right now) is reduced to this at the biggest show of the year after such a promising start last year. There's just no way I can see MNM retaining their belts, so I'd imagine we'll be sseing Punk putting Nitro or Mercury to sleep for the big face win. Hopefully KK bounces back strong after WM, but I'm not going to hold my breath. No one seems to like him anymore

2Cruiserweight Championship Match:
Kid Kash vs. Brian Kendrick

No idea really. It hasn't been built as WM worthy. The CW title has been ignored largely since London moved on, so I'll go with Kash since he only won it a couple of months ago and jobbed on SD.

5United States Championship Match:
Brent Albright vs. Batista

You've been pretty cryptic with this one, but I guess Albright has had a long run. I just don't know whether Batista will be the one taking the title from him.

7Money in the Bank Ladder Match:
WINNER HAS AUTOMATIC TITLE SHOT ANYTIME IN NEXT 12 MONTHS
M.V.P vs. Umaga vs. Paul London vs. Finlay vs. Carlito vs. Randy Orton vs. Charlie Haas vs. Shelton Benjamin

Like Pat, I'm sticking my neck out with this one. Finlay, Carlito, Haas and Benji have been jobbing left, right and centre, so they don't stand a chance. It's down to MVP, Umaga, London and Orton imo. You obviously like them all. With Orton? Like you said, he doesn't need MITB to become a World Champion and he's too much of a favourite. MVP'S too much of a rookie I think, and Umaga's almost in the same situation as Orton. He's looking so good right now he doesn't even need the briefcase. London's my pick. He could lose the contract down the line for all I know, but this is a guy who you've invested an awful lot in. Wins over Trips, Angle and Batista, and this match just seems so suited to him. Do it.

8FIRST TIME EVER:
!!FIVE YEARS IN THE MAKING!!
Triple H vs. Brock Lesnar
With The McMahon Family Empire in the corner of Triple H, and ‘Stone Cold’ Steve Austin as special guest enforcer.

The odds are all stacked against Brock, so he's winning. These two, Christian and Cena will dominate the WHC scene over the next few months I imagine.

3The Irresistible Force vs. The Immovable Object:
Kurt Angle vs. The Undertaker

Up until the last few weeks Angle has OWNED 'Taker in the worst way, the usual setup, so Kurt ain't winning.

6Non Sanctioned Match:
Mick Foley vs. Shawn Michaels

I absolutely ADORE his current persona, and if he went over HBK it's not like he would be spoiling a young star, so I think it'll happen. I just don't want this Foley business to end at WM.

Default Re: Being The Booker

Just to clear something up; Summerslam is set to be at Wembley, but I'm guessing that announcement some time ago has been forgotten .

Anybody wishing to edit their predictions for that question is welcome to do so ... or not.

Yeah, I just changed mine. I was about to change it to the new Cowboys Stadium, but then I remembered in the BTB, it's only 2007.

Default Re: Being The Booker

Final Card for WWE Wrestle Mania XXIII:
Date: 18th March 2007
Location: Superdome, New Orleans, Louisiana
Event Music: U2 & Green Day; The Saints are Coming & Killers; Sams Town

10 World Heavyweight Championship Match:
!!COLLISION COURSE!!
World Heavyweight Champion, John Cena vs.
2007 Royal Rumble Winner, Christian

Christian has been excellent in this thread and it doesn’t hurt Cena to lose, still a very hard match to call, but I have to say Christian because Cena doesn’t need the win, he’s been here before, he’s cemented and he’s already overcome the odds. To me you’ve finished his climb back up, now Christian should get the same. Christian wins and becomes cemented in the main event.

8 WWE Championship; Triple Threat Match:
WWE Champion, Rob Van Dam vs.
Mr. Money in the Bank, Edge vs.
‘Highlight of the Night’ Chris Jericho

I think its about time Edge gets the title.

1 WWE Tag Team Championships Match;
Americas Most Wanted vs. The Hardy Boys

I think Matt’s due for revenge against AMW. I’m sure they’ll get the belts back soon afterwards, but this time the Hardys come back strong and take the belts.

6 One Fall; Triple Jeopardy Match:
Intercontinental, World Tag Team & Womens Championships all on the line:
Rey Mysterio, CM Punk. Gregory Helms & Alexis Laree vs. Mr. Kennedy, Mercury, Nitro & Melina

MNM have used way to many tricks to keep the belts off of Alexis and Straight Edge and its about time they get them. Kennedy won’t lose the fall and hopefully he takes the belt off of Rey soon.

Cruiserweight Championship Match:
3 Kid Kash vs. Brian Kendrick

Taking the belt off of Kash seems rushed, he’s had a good run so far and it doesn’t seem like Kendrick has been built up enough to take it off him.

2 United States Championship Match:
Brent Albright vs. Batista

The way Albright’s put the screws to Batista I can’t see this going any other way. I can see Albright getting himself DQed and taking a massive beating to send Batista towards the main event. Even with the gradual push he’s gotten I think Batista as US champ would be a little anti-climatic. Brent needs to hold it a bit longer.

4 Money in the Bank Ladder Match:
WINNER HAS AUTOMATIC TITLE SHOT ANYTIME IN NEXT 12 MONTHS
M.V.P vs. Umaga vs. Paul London vs. Finlay vs. Carlito vs. Randy Orton vs. Charlie Haas vs. Shelton Benjamin

For me its between Orton, Umaga and the Golden Boy. Orton doesn’t need the contract, Umaga could work, but something seems off (not that you haven’t built him fantastically). You’ve elevated London time and again in this thread and I think you pull the trigger here. Match’ll be awesome no matter what though. I also think Flair returns here to cost Orton the match

9 FIRST TIME EVER:
!!FIVE YEARS IN THE MAKING!!
Triple H vs. Brock Lesnar
With The McMahon Family Empire in the corner of Triple H, and ‘Stone Cold’ Steve Austin as special guest enforcer.

Lesnar knocks the crap out of everyone. The odds are stacked to high against him for him not to win. If Heyman shows up and nails Vince you’ll have my unending gratitude.

7 The Irresistible Force vs. The Immovable Object:
Kurt Angle vs. The Undertaker

Great build, but its Taker. Even if he’s against Angle I just don’t see the streak ending.

5 Non Sanctioned Match:
Mick Foley vs. Shawn Michaels

Logic says Shawn, but it’s hard to tell, since I’d like to see this continue.

40 Person Pre-Show Battle Royal:
Orlando Jordan, Rodney Mack, Mark Henry, Garrison Cade, Nick Dinsmore, Ken Doane, Booker T, Elijah Burke, Snitsky, Val Venis, Kevin Thorn, Michael Knox, Harry Smith, Paul Burchill, Rob Conway, Rico, Stevie Richards, The Boogeyman, Simon Dean, Victoria, Dusty Rhodes, Goldust, William Regal, Hardcore Holly, Robbie MacAllister, Rory MacAllister, Trevor Murdoch, Festus Murdoch, Jamie Noble, Super Crazy, Chavo Guerrero, Cody Rhodes, Jerry Lawler, Akio, Danny Basham, Doug Basham, Deuce, Domino, Funaki, Scotty Too Hotty

I believe you said that Burchill would get pushed at some point and most of these guys are getting future endeavored after Mania. So I’ll take Burchill.

Bonus Questions:

What will be the longest match?? Triple H/Lesnar

What will be the shortest match?? Albright/Batista

Will there be any special appearances?: Ric Flair, Paul Heyman, I could see the Killers showing up to do the theme song and you’d mentioned the possibility of Lil Wayne showing up. Also since Waterproof Blonde is performing that cousin of Cena’s who he did the rap cd with might come out and rap with him for his entrance.

Which competitor will score the fall in the Triple Jeopardy Match: Gregory Helms

Name the final four in the pre-show Battle Royal: Paul Burchill, Ken Doane, Harry Smith and Dusty Rhodes
