Major Achievements; Won the Intercontinental Champion in the summer of 2004, and wrestled in a number of matches with Sting over that time period. After being drafted to Smackdown in 2005, Hardy had a quiet six months, before exploding into the upper echelons of the roster, with a great display in the Royal Rumble match of ‘06, which would lead as a springboard for Hardy to challenge for and win the U.S Title at WrestleMania, ousting JBL after a seven month reign. After suffering a shock loss to Charlie Haas, Hardy won the belt back in July, and held the title until the final week of October, where he would lose to Brent Albright, thanks to outside interference. Was partly responsible for ending the tenure of Paul Heyman as GM of Smackdown at the 2006 Survivor Series.
